People need to stop acting like playing killer/survivor on console is like having your kneecaps broken prior to the match starting. It's not as good as on PC but it's not bad at all. I can play Nurse on console with no problems, and others can play killers like Blight and Oni whilst still being able to utilise their most advanced tech. I can 360 as survivor and even moonwalk sometimes.
If people want BHVR to try and further improve controls on console, that's great. But stop acting like the gap in accessibility between mouse and keyboard, and controllers is completely insurmountable. It's not. This reminds me of the people who said I'd need hundreds of hours of practice to get a 1K as Nurse. The challenge is grossly overstated.
So a huge frame rate difference and doing simple mechanics like 360'ing on PC isn't easier hm lol.

That would be 6 perks on one survivor alone vs 1 killer, way too unfair as information on this game is very crucial for playing more efficiently.

As we know, current Freddy is one of the weakest killers in the game, outdated and not true to his identity, hopefully they will fix it, I have some idea, please let me know what do you think.
Freddy Krueger, 115% Movement Speed, 32 meters Lullaby Radius.
Dream World:
As we know, Freddy is the God of his dreamworld, he can do anything in it, sadly, we got placing snares and teleport, which is really basic and boring. His current dream world isn’t even a threat, for such iconic license, that shouldn’t even be possible and it’s a tragedy.
When in dream world, Freddy would keep fake pallets, but what i would add on top of that, i would add fake tiles, loops and jungle gym aswell, they would be placed like dream pallets. It would be cool if Freddy’s dream world would be interactive. Maybe even fake generators.
Second ability.
As his second ability, currently no killer is good if he doesn’t have some kind of anti-loop. Like Xenomorph’s tail and Nemesis’s whip, Freddy extends his arm, like in the movies, if successfully hit, damages the survivor.
I would keep the teleport as it is.
Survivors would be able to wake up like they do now.
I think to start off with a rework they should do the following:
Make his "Dream World" exist permanently for every player after they get hit. His "dream world" state can only be removed when all 5 gens are done or there is 1 player left alive, also known as the "exit phase".
His "wake up" bells should be spread around the map with unlimited uses and a 50s cooldown. These can be activated throughout the game. They won't wake you up from the dream state until the "exit phase" has started but they would make illusions start to flicker slightly when you get closer to them.
Freddys first power should be able to stand in a spot (so invisible) and lay in ambush with no telltales at all, unlike the wraith who you can still see the outline of, and he can't go invisible near a certain proximity around the basement (so a limited radius to gens are okay) with a fake illusion of Freddy walking around the map.
Freddy second power, the current illusion pallets he can place should be kept how they are, as well as adding the ability to place "fake windows" for some locations (of course long time DBD players will know almost every layout of every map). Mind gaming will still definitely work and players will definitely be trying to loop directly into a wall (and yes this will be entertaining from the killers POV).
Freddys third power would allow him to leave lifesize worms around the map, jumpscaring survivors and revealing their locations to him when they come into proximity (a little like the hag except he can't teleport directly to them).
As for his special ability, the only thing I would really change would be once he has teleported, allow his dream projection when coming out of a gen to affect all gens and make the projection persist for 2 seconds after the teleport, making it walk in a random direction to scare all survivors doing gens, this would also make all survivors wary and instil some fear into the gameplay.
As for his add-ons, I'm not really going to suggest anything here except there should be one which makes all pallets on the map invisible for 3 seconds upon teleporting with his special ability.
As for his perk reworks.. idk currently but maybe together we could think of some cool ideas.
One last thing, I think when Devs do create reworks on something, they should not try to make it stick to the core gameplay of DBD, it would help to stop the rework being obsolete after a few months and help keep the game fresh. What I mean by this is, take advantage of what type of powers the killer offers and try to merge it into DBD, not the the other way around. Like my ideas here are what I think Freddy should bring to DBD not how he fits into the game.

I think Balance Landing needs a buff since it activates after 40 years later you hit to the ground.
I can't even lie BL is still very strong, killers don't expect you to use it. I also had the thought of buffing the delay but then it would give the killer 0 chance to hit you when dropping down behind you. In its current condition it's more like a 50/50 with lithe and vaulting (seems like this is the go-to for devs to balance stuff). I don't think it needs a buff rn tbh.

If the Pig downed you and hooked you like normal in this situation, you still wouldn't have enough time to run across the map and take the trap off, you'd be dead either way. That's assuming she wouldn't patrol the Jigsaw boxes to down you there, too, instead of following you around. The Pig's power is to put survivors in bad situations and then take advantage of the opportunities that arise. Your counterplay is to not get caught in those situations in the first place through smart decisions and, hopefully, smart teamplay. Blame your teammates for doing gens instead of giving time to get the trap off.
Call me conceited if you want, but it doesn't change anything. The Pig is already one of the weakest killers in the game, she doesn't need even more safety padding.
I'd honestly prefer to be downed and hooked than go through the experience I went through. I think if I was chased out of stealth I would have been in a win/loss situation rather than a guaranteed loss situation, it would've also given me a chance to get across the map since the timer was paused. I don't want any trap timers changed (even though they do need increasing by about 10-15 seconds), I just want to be given the opportunity to take off the trap without the killer violating me and knowing they can guarantee a free kill without the need to chase for 3 hooks by being aggressive towards the person with the trap.
I'm not saying I dislike the pig as a killer, I'm saying the trap timer not pausing is not fair because its worse than tunnelling at this point. I also get it that she's weak so there should be expected buffs coming with such a nerf, one of them being a slightly increased movement speed when she's in stealth, maybe even a radius warning every 90 seconds showing an outline of players for 1 second.
This nerf could also be the starting point of giving her a chance to be fixed. So yes, I still think we should make traps more fair and help buff her other ways to make up for it. Feel free to throw around some ideas yourself mate.

Listen, I'm so dang slow while crouched, and so low to the ground as well, that surely enough distance can be made combined with line of sight blockers to get away on most maps.
I realize three failed searches are quite the soul crusher, but from my game time with & against her that is not too common to happen. Outside of endgame the Pig is actively throwing the match doing this. You likely will die but your team should all get out unless their complete utter potatoes.
I'm not dismissing your experience, sounds rough, but I have to believe it's kinda rare.
Well guess what, my teammates are magically potatoes when I come up against her lmao. And SOMEHOW the map is always an open map when this happens. It also doesn't happen to me often but if it's happening to me then it's definitely happening to others. If we put all of that data together then you could kind of say it's fairly common, no?
-
@Caiman said:
If you can't escape a Pig while she's permanently crouched then I don't know what to tell you.
I'll break it down into baby steps since everyone on this forum likes things spoonfed and can't understand a simple situation.
You have an ACTIVATED TICKING TRAP on your head
pig chases you in stealth
You've done the first 3 trap removal machines before she arrived and they haven't taken the trap off and the other 2 are across the map
pig chases you in stealth
You run away and she still follows and the timer is STILL going
You DON'T HAVE TIME to lose the pig with 30s left on the trap timer
Pig follows and harasses you on the 4th trap removal machine from stealth
You have to stick the machine because of timer, you can't run to lose the pig because of her in stealth giving NO PAUSE TIMER
= DEAD
Not everything is a damn skill issue man. Stop being so conceited. A design flaw is a design flaw and unless it's addressed it will be exploited and abused. I haven't even mentioned any add-ons for her yet either.
-
@Seraphor said:
You realise it would be faster for her to down and hook you right? This is just tunneling in a different form, no more effective than any other killer doing the same, less so in fact.
Any Pig doing this is shooting themselves in the foot, as they're wasting their own slowdown by pursuing the only survivor who can't do gens.
It is definitely not faster to hook, if you interrupt the survivor trying to take the bear trap off at least 2 times then usually that's enough to confirm that they're as good as dead. No time wasted on trying to chase the survivor or get the other 2 hooks because the time crouching waiting for the bear trap ticker outweighs all that. In it's current form it doesn't make sense to be in the game, there's oppressive and then there's outright ridiculous and that's what this is.

firstly I like to start I’ve always loved DBD from the very beginning, near enough when it first came out. It’s been a blast to see so many new Killers and survivors come out during my journey deeper into the fog. Unfortunately now, I don’t see much point playing survivor anymore. Not only do my games involve unfair killers, but knowing that the majority of perks that were commonly used are now nerfed excessively. I feel that the developers only care about the killers, not the survivors. Don’t get me wrong. I do play both killer and survivor. After all, 100% more blood points on either category. It’s a shame that I don’t enjoy survivor anymore
Maybe you've finally realised you've seen all this game has to offer. ^^

Singularity has quickly become one of the least played killers, which is bad considering he's the 2nd newest killer. On Nightlight, he's 5th least played killer. Though his real pick rate is probably lower since Nightlight mainly uses stats from PC players. Without any change, Singularity will probably reach Twins levels of obsecurity in the future.
The reason no one plays Singularity is that he's too hard. Otz, a player with 11k hours, is currently trying to win streak on him and only averages 3-4 wins before losing, which is extremely low compared to his other killers. This killer is also impossible to play on console due to the need to quickly aim pods. The main issue with Singularity is that it's hard to apply Slipstream while it's too easy for survivors to remove it.
Firstly, EMPs should only remove Slipstream on the survivor using it. Given how easy it is to acquire EMPs, it shouldn't be able to mass remove Slipstream. Slipstream is similar to Plague Infection, which is much harder for survivors to remove while also having a stronger effect.
Secondly, when switching to a pod, the camera should automatically face the nearest survivor. This is the only way to make Singularity playable on console.
Finally, they need to make it possible to place pods on all surfaces. There are too many situations where you try to place a pod on a perfectly flat surface and it doesn't work.
Maybe no one plays him cause of his annoying voice lmao

The 16 meter range of the current anti-camping measure isn't doing its job as you would hope, especially towards killers who can easily use projectiles or clear that distance to prevent Survivors from attempting to unhook others.
The following changes need to be made in order to make this a better mechanic:
Range Changes
- The Wraith now has a range of 24 meters to account for his fast movement speed while cloaked.
- The Hillbilly now has a range of 32 meters to account for his ability to use the Chainsaw to force trades.
- The Nurse now has a range of 32 meters to account for her ability to blink.
- The Huntress now has a range of 32 meters to account for her ability to use long-ranged hatchets.
- The Spirit now has a range of 24 meters to account for her fast movement speed while phasing.
- The Deathslinger now has a range of 24 meters to account for his 18-meter ranged harpoon gun, which can still catch the Survivor that was recently unhooked.
- The Blight now has a range of 40 meters to account for his map traversal ability.
- The Trickster now has a range of 40 meters to account for his ability to rapidly dish out non-stop damage.
- The Artist now has a range of 24 meters to account for her projectiles.
- The Mastermind now has a range of 24 meters to account for his ability to bound towards Survivors and afflict Deep Wound to the unhooked Survivor while damaging the rescuer at the same time.
Changes Due to Powers
- The Hag now causes the meter to progress while Mud Traps are within 16 meters of a Survivor. For every trap near them, the meter fills by 1.5% every second per trap.
- The Plague now has a range of 32 meters when using Corrupt Purge to account for its ability to damage multiple Survivors within quick succession.
- The Oni now has a range of 64 meters when Blood Fury is active to account for his map traversal ability and the ability to instantly down multiple Survivors, and hit a Survivor multiple times with the same attack.
- The Dredge now has a potentially map-wide range when activating his remnant. When a Remnant is within 16 meters of a Survivor, the gauge will fill up as if The Dredge was directly next to them.
Changes Due to Add-Ons
- The Original Pain add-on for Cenobite now increases the anti-camping range by 24 meters to account for the ability to afflict Deep Wound on injured Survivors caught by the attack.
Changes Due to The Cannibal
Because the anti-camping mechanic actually greatly benefits Cannibal players that decide to still stick around and camp, the following changes would need to be made to him specifically to make it much more fair:
- The Cannibal will instantly go into a longer attack cooldown when hitting a Survivor that has unhooked themselves through the anti-camping mechanic.
- The Cannibal now has a range of 32 meters where the anti-camping meter will start to progress.
Changes Due to the Above
Due to the above changes, the next change would be applied in order to prevent Survivors from exploiting the range changes and the anti-camping changes:
- When a Killer is in chase with a Survivor outside of the original 16 meter range, the anti-camping meter will no longer progress.
With these changes in mind, this should thoroughly prevent some Killers from being able to camp Survivors more effectively than others and allows for a much fairer match altogether.
These changes won't get implemented. It is more rare for a killer to facecamp now tbh. The anti-camping/anti-tunnelling features implemented were only to stop things happening almost every game which completely killed variety.
-
@kingbrad51 said:
Facecamping just ruins the whole game like idek how many times ive quit bc of facecamping i wish there was a solution to facecamping like if the killer was in the survivors range for too long the entity wouldnt affect the survivor
The change you are seeing in the game currently vs anticamping is one I suggested a little while back, nothing can honestly be done against it if the killer really wants to tunnel you out of the game. Face-camping (and I hate to say this), honestly has no counter UNLESS the devs decide to add the ability to take a second BT hit. The first BT hit would show in Yellow like normal and the second BT hit would show in red and you would only have to mend once for both of them, if the survivor happens to come into close proximity to another survivor then this second BT hit state would be removed and the chase would continue to be as normal.
However... I've only ever encountered face camping since the update once so I don't really see a need to do this at all yet. It is still 50/50 for survivor/killer to ascertain points but the survivor will most likely still not survive and honestly, that's okay lol.

I was a little turned off about the reluctance to add chucky to what me and a lot of other franchise fans assumed was an obvious choice to include but the lack of a level and a an associated survivor seems like they still aren’t completely behind the decision to do do. Even though the adding of chucky has been the best thing to happen to this game by far in a long time.
Honestly they should start thinking about adding more than 1 map per update. 2-3 would be a lot better and keep variety for a while longer.

I have ADHD and autism, because of the former I have a hard time remembering what all of the different perks and symbols mean. I would find it beneficial to add an accessibility option to have a short phrase or comma dilimmetted list showing the key words of what the symbols effect does. For example if you had the hindered symbol it could say something like "movement slowed" in a tiny font under ther symbol.
Everyday that I play I inevitably end up frustrated and swap games because I feel like I wasn't given a fair go at escaping or getting a survivor. It makes the game incredibly difficult to build skill at in the upper ranks. I will admit that the symbols getting added to the game made a huge difference in making this game feel accessible in the first place, and while I atleast know the names of what I'm under the effect of I can't always remember what that effect does.
A quality of life enhancements I thought of for my neruodivergence, that I thought could also accommodate others, is the ability to see what perks a survivor I'm spectating has. I frequently have no idea what other survivors perks do and have to bounce back and forth from spectating to the end screen to hover over their perk and read it and then go back and spectate. If I could know what they are playing with while I'm watching I could stay invested in the action. Whether that's a cursor and hover pop-up or pressing the corresponding direction on the d-pad or wasd I would enjoy it greatly. I mean having a huge library of perks to play with is a ton of fun but I could never remember what they all do.
I think since you have a disability and adding assistance to the game for you would help you play it on a more natural level to that of another player then yes, this should definitely be added in some sort of external option being added into the settings menu. I'm sure others who have similar issues would also be thankful to you for posting this suggestion and also to the team who decides to say yes for this feature to be implemented. :)

This basically means you cannot gain any experience, because the results are not different at all, so you have nothing you can lookout for to base your claim upon.
I mean, I wanted to keep it short and to the point without wasting time since I said at the start of this topic I wanted the subject to be kept to the point. idk if you have played nurse but thats not how that works, while blinking and after a blink its completely normal camera movement if a nurse is facing you after a blink if you rounded a corner or something its because the nurse turned her camera and if you are talking about the "auto aim" of attacks yeah idk if that would be a good change because it would still hit the survivors it just wouldn't "auto aim" to make it look better on the killers end its just there to make the game look pretty.

How would you be able to tell? Auto aim only makes hits connect (or let's say it makes them look more reasonable, I think the hit connects regardless) ... You still have to swing in the general direction... After blink nurse players will usually just lunge and turn their camera to get a hit.
So the killer that was chasing me, his sense was hella slow during chase, so there was no way it was him controlling the turn manually. That's how ik lol

I dopnt think you can remove auto aim partially like that... also it f s her many times a game.. But i dont see how removing it would help you in any way?
So an example would be today. I was looping nurse very tightly around a basic table with a pallet. The nurse blinked past me and turned 130 degrees while blinking within 0.5s. That was auto aim and not the player. Without this it would definitely force an increase in skill gap for the killer.

This feature does not exist on Pc, I have no clue what you are talking about buddy... You can however turn while you are blinking... Just play her for one bot match and see for yourself, but on PC this does not exist.
I think I am referring to the auto aim.
Here is an example of it in the past.
I was running away and I turned round a corner because she blinked but she hit me. So was she either knowing where I was going or can she turn?I don't think it makes sense to remove it for all killers as killers do need it, just not the nurse because that is the biggest issue about her I believe atm.
-
@HugTechLover said:
You do NOT automatically lock on to survivors after blinking.
I mean, unless a killer can do a 180 degree turn during teleporting within half a second to the other side of the table without knowing which way the survivor has ran, yes, you really do get automatic lock on. I've seen it happen time and time again. It works the exact same with the hag and her traps, if someone activates it you come out of the trap facing them. Unless it's somewhat different on PC which I highly doubt.

I think removing depipping, even though it would make sense as a survivor, it wouldn't make sense at the same time because it makes you sweat harder at end game level and each game before iri 1 feels more and more challenging and sweaty. It would honestly make sense to add more ranks to climb rather than removing depipping.

I assume they mean the message to you. For example you state in the title they compared prestige to racism. How did they make this comparison?
Oh, the last teammate was working with the killer at the end because I was wasting all the killers time and he couldn't get me, so after unhooking him and then having the killer find him, he got knocked and then the killer let him back up and he brought the killer to me, which got me knocked, as he then proceeded to he tb me on the floor and then point to the hook for the killer, so I messaged him saying "of course it's a high prestige griefing my game" (because that's usually who it is that griefs my games), and then I got that message as a reply.
And trust me, the messages that he sent me after we're a lot worse, one even mentioned germans and jewish people and what happened in history to them.. I never mentioned anything of the sort to him before or after it was mentioned either. I would have loved to report this person for this specific type of behaviour that I witnessed as it's honestly shameful and pitiful at the same time. Another reason prestige levels need to be hidden until end game. Sorry you got that message but I get teammates pulling that on me weekly. If the killer is cool they will tunnel the traitor out of the match.
The killer was focused on me cause I was making him mad so my teammates could do gens, he ended up giving up chase a few times however.

DBD is a live service game. They have to support the prior gen machines until Sony and Nintendo and Microsoft each end their support for those consoles, or until the game cannot actually physically function on them any longer.
The vast majority of the playerbase is on console, and something like half of them or so are still on the old machines worldwide. Do you think we can afford to lose that many players?
Late reply I know. I just meant that the graphical upgrade wouldn't be supported on old gen consoles, similarly to how the graphical update is not supported for GTA on PS4 but it is for PS5.

It would just be for next gen. Not every update has to be for previous gen because that would be impossible.

I hope not , the game runs like garbage even on modern hardwares (just look at console players and the 60 fps promise) , this is just asking people to be agree about losing half of their frames by just making the game look more "realistic" which IMO is such a terrible line for the modern game industry is like bro I DONT CARE about the graphics , yeah they need to be decent but jeeez , just give me a well made game with good gameplay mechanics / good story and enjoyable thats all.
whats the point of 4k stuff and amazing graphics if the gameplay and perfomance issues are gonna be same things for everyone like dude , at that point just make another game but dont mess up the current like they already did with realm beyond.
and yes the reworked maps look pretty thats for sure but dear god they introduced many perfomance problems and balance issues because the devs went back to making survivor sided maps for the most or just badly gameplay wise maps like: garden of pain and Haddonfield
HOT TAKE: DBD graphics are good ATM and they dont need major improvements.(not taking swamp into consideration)
they need to focus on QoL updates and health updates for the most part (which they are doing thankfully slower but its BHVR so)
Jeez imagine being a negative nancy.
The graphics are decent for a 7 year old game. Unreal engine 5 would bring in new players. Obviously if it's getting a graphical upgrade then that would also mean better stability & performance patches. IDK if you're playing the same game as me but it's fine for me on console, minus a few slight frame rate drops here and there. 120FPS would also be nice.
It's 2023, if games are to compete then graphics are the new norm. I highly doubt DBD2 will release or even be in production when they release characters every few months and no one is asking for a sequel. That's the same thing fortnite does and it's the same thing Apex does and it clearly works fine.
I don't care what realm beyond is, never heard of it and I don't care to. Balance issues have nothing to do with this post, leave it out please.
Your last sentence is redundant.

I couldn't care less about the cheaters, bugs, loading times, broken matchmaking, etc etc what kills my mood and fun are the maps in this game. Too many badham maps. 2 RPD maps. Too many Autohaven wreckers maps. Too many coldwind farm maps and now they come with with more macmillian estate maps.
There is little to no variety. There is BARELY any indoors maps the one they removed was hawkin's laboratoy.
This games getting real boring.
You hate the map? I hate getting stuck on random trash thats on the floor every single time i go to play.

The basekit protection on getting unhooked was to give a player a chance to get to a pallet, vault etc. Not to allow the survivor to remain in the terror radius of the killer and be untouchable. We've all seen what happened with old DS, where survivors would sit on a gen in front of the killer or do anything, knowing that they couldn't be hooked - definitely not an ideal scenario. The same would be with this - there's also the Undectable status to factor in there.
I think the current protection on the unhook does what it's intended to do, make running BT a non-necessary thing for survivors, and give them time to get to a safer area, whilst not making them invincible.
Tunneling is such a big topic, reasons of why players tunnel etc, that it cannot be solved (if it needs to be solved at all), by just increasing the basekit protection time, as that would then cause problems of it's own imo.
The most effective way to stop tunnelling somewhat rather than changing base perks and things of that nature would be by not allowing the person who is on the hook to be hit by the killer until they are fully off the hook. This would definitely make a big difference, and if that's not enough then maybe even a 1-2 second immunity after unhooking.

i really feel that survivors got nerfed and killers just got buffed really really buffed. I don't believe the devs don't know this... and now flashlights are unusable. first it was "oh survivors are healing too much so lets nerf the heal" then second it was "of the vaults are OP for survivors let's make all vaults equal" and now "oh flashlights are too much lets turn them off for now and think of a way to nerf them to make them unusable"... this game is just taking a lot away from survivors that its not fun anymore.
killers are just getting faster and faster while survivors are getting slower and slower. Maps are really small and too much collision for survivors to even loop. a lot of the "random" placements really feel like a plus for killers and really bad for survivors.
even the costumes are dumb. they make costumes for killers that blend in with almost any map and survivors are bright and colorful like a freaking beacon.
i have been a long time fan but its getting to a point where i just want to quit and play something else. i really really regret investing time and money in this game..
oh and to those of you that read this and say to just run killer understand that its really just not my cup of tea... i didnt start playing DBD to run killer and those that do more power to you (just stop cheating - killers are OP and a lot of you still run wall hacks freaking losers) and dont get me started on killers running Ceno and then just face camps what a dumb way to play Ceno....
i know this is a lengthy rant but i really wish they balance out this game again it was a lot more fun when survivors at least had a 50% chance of escaping.
I stepped away from the game a few months ago when it really was impossible to play survivor lol, and let me tell you this. Coming back to the game a few days ago, idk man I feel like it feels FRESH. I don't feel like I'm constantly being tunnelled every game, I do somewhat feel like the killer does target me, but aside from that it feels good. Female survivors atm are bugged, flashlights are bugged and temp disabled, some map loops ain't the best and some killers are still OP but that's just the way the game goes.
Maybe just try and find some new people to play with who aren't constantly negative (if you play SWF) and try not to get so irritated with things, if it happens it happens, it's not really in your control.

It's fun to play solo tbh and it's ALWAYS fun to annoy the killer to the point where he doesn't wanna chase you anymore :D

Yes, they can theoretically get somewhat of an advantage, but in most cases bad ping makes your power very unresponsive. Try playing Blight with 200+ms ping, your power literally screws you over because there is a tangible delay between input and action.

That's just band aiding and doesn't necessarily throw you in their server. I was with 3 other Italians, we ended up in a Virginia server. :|
Every time I did this it worked 100% of the time so.. Still works I think xD
Just the lag.. you'll probs have about 200 ping lmao

It's kind of annoying when you get thrown in a random lobby in a US server when you are in Europe. Same when I get paired as killer with people from yet another continent. I'm in Italy and I get paired with people from Saudi Arabia or China (the heck?) - and it's not eveb during a low traffic moment of the day like at night when the European player base is at its lowest. On top of that, I barely ever see people around my area, i.e. other Italians.
Even free 2 play games have a server selection, come on.
If you want a workout for this atm, find a survivor in a country you want to play in and make them host then ready up. Enjoy.

For voice chat, I base this on a friend who has already been nearly banned from PSN chat for shittalking Killers/Players they didn’t like:
Assuming only between Survivors:
”Hey dickcheese, get out of the Locker and unhook me”
”stop throwing and get on a gen”
etc. etc. not to mention more racist stuff you’d probably find from the younger more volatile generation.
And now BHVR needs to implement voice log records in order to actually address harassment as well.
And if it its between the Survivors and Killer as well:
”Get Palleted/Flashlighted biotch”
”Your mother probably didn’t love you as a kid”
”*hard R*”
Some people just love to get under peoples skin.
Trust me, I’d love integrated chat, especially between Killer/Survivor because it’d be so cool to hear a Survivor gasp when you get that sneaky pickup.
But odds are it’s just going to make the game absolutely more toxic.
Players needing to be willing to reach out to others and connect via third parties acts as a fantastic filter. You don’t bash your friends too bad. But a stranger?
That's just you having a toxic friend, most people just want a good, fun time without feeling belittled. Voice chat would be cool regardless.

Oh right, because queue times wouldn't be an issue at all.
Why are new game modes for DBD a problem?
That's simple, normal games like Dota, CS etc. has single queue line per game mode, because teams are same on both sides.
That's not true for DBD, each game mode will create two separate queue lines, where everything collapse when either of them has not enough players.
I wonder where most killers will want to play and where will survivors want to play.... This simply couldn't end well.
You would always have to keep original mode as basically safety net where everyone will return after any new mode dies in a week.
Only mode I would like to see is 1v1. That wouldn't be hard to make...
This games not all about queue times. If there were different modes in the game maybe more people would be willing to play. It's a healthy suggestion. Don't get in the way of that.

Agreed. I'm glad camping is getting addressed but tunneling must be next on the list. HOWEVER...In order to do so, survivor side must be nerfed/adjusted accordingly. Either we keep both tunneling and gen rushing or we get rid of both. There''s no other way.
Killers have been able to tunnel rampantly for over 4-5 seasons now and you think survivors need to be nerfed on top of that as well?
That just doesn't make sense, if a killer can't put enough pressure on gens then they don't deserve to win. Just like if survivors don't put enough time into gens they don't deserve to win (minus hatch ofc).
What needs to happen from my understanding is the following:
- ALL gens should be increased to 140s upon spawning into a game until one gen has been complete, then the other gens should reset down to the 90s we have currently, retaining their gen progression.
- Killers need more objectives, killing survivors is not enough, maybe the ability to turn some loops off for a while (they have to look for the switch), or anything else of the sort
- Tunnelling needs overhauling because it is too oppressive and as the current Meta it proves that the other strategies are not a viable option anymore or as strong as they sound.
- EVERYTHING OTHER KILLER STRATEGY EXCEPT TUNNELING IS FINE (if you're going to mention survivors doing gens.. the first Bullet point)
- Survivors need more to do than just gens to keep games interesting over time and to keep every game fresh.
Also, playing as killer is not as bad as people make it out to seem, every time I log in I have no problem finding lobbies quickly so clearly killer queue times aren't as affected as people are making it out to be.

how about we stop trying to punish players for doing what even the devs call a legitimate strategy?
If you want more people to stop tunneling and camping, you're gonna have to change a lot. map design, buff m1 killers, remove gen regression (which BHVR basically did) and gen progression perks, remove sbmm and go back to the old emblem system, there's a lot the devs can do to make the game more fun for everyone, they just don't know how to do it.
A strategy is not a strategy when it becomes oppressive. When this happens it stops being a strategy and is called a Meta. There's nothing wrong with that happening every so often until it becomes completely unbearable and ruins the point of the game, which is fun for BOTH sides not just one.
A developer can be wrong about how their game functions over time from from time to time. An example of this can be see with Fortnite in the past many times. It is up to the playerbase to help correct what is wrong with the game and fix it for the better.

Why tunneling is an unsportsmanlike playstyle when it directly contributes to killer's objective which is to kill all survivors? I don't see anyone saying that genrush is unsportsmanlike playstyle even though it is the main objective of survivors. So it's ok for survivors to try to win asap but not ok for a killer?
When a killer ignores 3 other objectives to target 1 objective only, each and every single game while the survivors have no choice BUT to do their one and only objective, yes, it really is unsportsmanlike.
