There are plenty of sore losers on both sides.
-
Slugging is a valuable killer skill. So I would go with slugging.
-
There are far worse killers to play against than Freddy in solo queue. Just saying.

Blood Echo and Thanatophobia are really situational. Thanatophobia is clearly better, but only if you have a Killer who can keep Survivors injured like Legion or Plague, but thats about it. For one or two Survivors injured, the Penalty is really low.
Personally, I run:
BBQ-->Only for stonks, it is not that good on Doctor, Whispers would be better. But BPs.
STBFL-->Good Perk for M1-Killers, also I like it.
Corrupt Intervention-->The only Slowdown Perk needed.
Brutal Strength-->Survivors tend to drop Pallets early against Doctor, breaking them a little bit quicker is good in a chase.
Using this Build for quite a while and having good success with it. Of course you can go for more Slowdown by using PGTW or Ruin. Also, like I said, Whispers can be pretty good, when it is active you can shock and are in a chase basically immediatly.
You and I have a similar build. I use PGTW instead of STBFL because Doc is already strong in chases.
-
Console players are no more whiny than PC players.
-
The problem isn't Dead Hard, it's map design. If you play on a map with a generous number of safe pallets, DH is going to be a pain.
-
This game has always been a toxic cesspool. Sometimes you get unlucky and encounter rude player after rude player.
Just one of those things you have to come to terms with.

You thought that was a good idea? It would make the perk absolutely useless. Some of you killer mains are hilarious.
Some of us killer mains actually do play the survivor role.
-
@MadLordJack said:
People don't like them because chases rely almost entirely on the killer being really, really bad in order for the survivor to do anything but get downed.
As a survivors there's really nothing you can do against them except hold W and try to break LoS, which isn't even that good of the killer is... Umm, good. So it's eithe rhope the killer keeps on missing shots, or go down, because you cannot react to Slinger and PH will just cancel and m1 you.
You pretty much summed it up lol.
-
I don't have a particular order or a top five. But my favorite killers to play are Blight, Huntress, and the Twins.

There doesn't need to be more punishment, there needs to be more incentive to stay
I like that idea.
-
The perk will be fixed first. So you don't have to worry about it.
-
If anything Dead Hard will be getting a buff once the issue with dedicated servers is sorted out.
-
Jeff and Tapp are my favorites as well. If Jeff wasn't in the game, I'd be a Tapp main.
-
I don't have a main as killer.
For survivor, I main Jeff. I also wear the anniversary crown on my head to mimic a halo.
-
Spirit should be in Hag tier.
-
Deathslinger would experience death by snu snu.
-
I like the first idea a lot.
The second one is more iffy. Definitely have to monitor that one.

It really depends on the map, the killer, the killers skill, whether you SWF or solo, if you have good teammates, whether you use meta perks, whether you want the killer to chase you or you immerse for hatch, etc.
But generally, I'd say survivor is easier. You don't have to think constantly like you do as killer and can chill on gens and may not even be chased sometimes.
Exactly.
-
A bit hyperbolic, don't you think?
-
If you're on PC, Diabotical is free to play on Epic Games. It's basically a modern Quake game made by veteran FPS players.
-
I'm going to say Spirit. I find Hag equally annoying, but that's just because of her typical playstyle. Hag's power isn't as fundamentally flawed as the Sprit's power imo.
-
It's best not to insult people in chat. That just adds to the overall hostility.
Sometimes when I'm annoyed with someone, I'll be sarcastic with them. But even that is not a good idea. If you can feel yourself becoming really agitated with the chat, it's probably a good idea to just leave.
But to answer your original question, it depends. I think a lot of people who type nasty comments are just blowing off steam. But I imagine some of them really are that mean in real life.
-
Oni looks like he's the strongest physically. But I could be wrong.
-
Not really. The new UI is horrible for killers. Also, the new survivor animations look quite bad from the killer's perspective.
That said, I will say survivors got the short end of the stick with this update. But that's what happens when the devs push bad changes through.
-
I've always wanted a two killer game mode.
Maybe the devs at some point could do a special event and let the community test out a two killer game mode. I think it would be fun.

What about for console?
Console players are out of luck I guess.
That said, I don't think Deathslinger is as potent on console as he is on PC. So in that regard, console survivors may have an advantage.
-
Playing against Deathslinger is pretty hard because you have to constantly look over your shoulder to see when he raises his gun.
If you have a M&K, you can do some pretty fast flicks which can help you dodge a hit. But again, you have to be looking over your shoulder.
I recommend running Spine Chill which will allow you to gain some distance. Also, take note of safe loops and throw down pallets early when you're injured.
-
Hardcore camping and tunneling is relatively rare. I have seen killers do that against really good survivors.
However, normal camping and tunneling is very common. Many killers will often come back to the hook and try to snowball. When that happens, it's pretty common for the same survivor to get hooked again because they couldn't get away in time.
But as others have pointed out, sometimes the survivors play really dumb and the killer has no choice. That's why it's important for teammates to take the aggro.
-
Dead Hard is only a problem because of map design. On survivor-sided maps, DH is very rough to play against.
I'd rather the devs rework the maps instead of DH. Also, at least DH is broken right now because of dedicated survivors. Back in the day, you could use DH on reaction. Now you have to use the perk preemptively.
-
DbD is over four years old and the devs still have not learned proper map design. This is one of the biggest reasons I am so critical of them.
-
I am open to that idea. Unfortunately, I don't think it will help all that much. I've seen plenty of killers not care about DS or BT. Killers with a tunneling mindset are always going to play that way.

Me looking at the new UI:
-
The devs really need to revert the UI change. It's just so unnecessary.
-
Yep, these are positive changes. Too bad all of it is overshadowed by the horrible new UI.
-
You can call it whatever you want. This new update is a dismal failure.
-
The new survivor movements are cursed, that's for sure.
-
Of course I'll upvote your post, but I have a feeling it won't do much. Here's hoping 🤞

To be fair, I played one match with the new HUD and I already have a light Headache. Sorry if I dont want to get sick while playing a videogame.
Same. I played one match with Plague and was immediately overwhelmed by the new HUD. Guess I was getting more sick than the survivors were.
-
Healthy survivors that hide in lockers to avoid being found by the killer.
-
I play a ton of solo queue survivor.
My experience usually depends on the map and killer. I'm better on certain maps, and I can handle specific killers more effectively.
Teammates also have a big impact on my experience. Most of the time, I get matched with average to below average teammates. In games with teammates like these the killer has a pretty high chance of winning unless of course the killer isn't that good either.
-
I don't have a problem with the hatch. Aside from keys, which will be nerfed in the future.
-
That skin wouldn't be a good fit imo because of how gross the Plague is.
-
The DbD reddit is slightly survivor-biased. That said, it's a great place to browse DbD memes. And I've seen some really funny memes there.
-
Umm no? That seems like way too much power to give survivors for free.
Base kit Kindred on the other hand would be a good change. It'll help bridge the gap between solo and SWF teams. That said, do not include killer aura reading. Give that effect to some other survivor perk that needs a buff.
-
It's not just PC survivors, but rather survivors across all platforms.

Not everyone has the luxury of playing in a organized really sweaty SWF to stand a chance at winning.
You don't need to be in a SWF squad to stand a chance at winning. Solo players can be nearly as strong as a SWF team.
-
As a Jeff main, I've been shown mercy a lot by Julie. I guess she thinks I'm cute with my halo head accessary.

When killers win an overwhelming majority of matches with ease, there's no such thing as an overpowered survivor perk.
You can't rely on those numbers because they don't take into account all the complexities of the game.
The general consensus is a well organized SWF team is stronger than most killer setups. Veteran players have been saying that for ages now.
