Blight and Huntress
-
Back in the day, Legion had a bugged add-on which made mending take up to several minutes to finish. That was probably the most boring thing I had to endure.
-
Back when I played in 2017 on console, people would just use the Xbox app on their phone and send messages. You could communicate pretty fast with each other.
-
I'm probably one of the few killer mains with thousands of hours who lets survivors farm and escape. For some reason it doesn't bore me.
-
I see them quite often whenever I play with twitch streamers. That's one big reason why I don't like playing with them.
-
I prefer solo queue because it's more immersive, but I understand your frustrations.
Unfortunately, the devs can't do anything about selfishness. Aside from rewarding good behavior.
But they can make other changes like better matchmaking, or buffing perks to help out solo survivors.
Solo survivors have one thing in common with killers. They both have to endure really unfun matches.
-
Survivors want killers that are susceptible to looping.
-
I think most survivors will try to unhook safely. But if a hooked survivor is approaching the struggle phase, sometimes you just have to rush the hook. That's why borrowed time is a good perk for solo survivors.

The good sweats can get their guy off of a camp, unless you have a saw killer, almost every time. Or at least, it becomes hook trade hook trade hook trade all escape. They will all have unbreakable borrowed time ds.
You're probably right about that. Like I said though, if the killer is desperate enough they can hard camp. It's not a guarantee, but the survivors might slip up. Not to mention, it's a lot less work for the killer.

Well idk I don't like the idea of using one. Even though the 3 best huntresses I often hear of coconut and Ralph also Scott all advocate for it. But I just don't want to rely on something. I just tear my confidence down doing that. Also when I use my regular tv I usually find my center so I don't see much difference in gameplay except better sniping and shot leading
Don't think of it that way. Crosshairs allow you to have a lot more fun. Plus, there's a reason you can buy them on the market.

Ha nice! But I live in trailer, poor boi status :)
If you really like playing Huntress, think about buying some crosshair stickers. You just stick them on your tv and now you have a pretty decent crosshair. They're also pretty cheap.
-
Monitors are generally better for most situations. I have a 250 hz monitor with built in crosshair overlay. Playing Huntress feels very satisfying.
-
Winning against sweat squads is unlikely.
If you really want to win, you can camp one person and hope the team is overly altruistic. Aside from that, it's a done deal.
Any experienced killer knows that you have to slug a lot in high ranks in order to slow down the game. Playing normal won't cut it against optimal survivors.
Of course, you can keep practicing and get better at chases. But that only goes so far. Sometimes you just have to accept the odds were heavily stacked against you.
-
Yeah, I learned about his passing on Twitter. Sad news indeed.
-
I actually never noticed that being chased by victor grants survivors zero points. If that's true, shame on BHVR.
Come to think of it though, I'm not really surprised. These types of oversights are common.
-
I've never used custom perk icons before, but if what you're saying is true, that is sad news indeed. I always felt that custom icons were pretty cool.
-
When I first started playing killer, I didn't know about the advanced mind games you could play.
And when I first started playing survivor, I didn't understand the power of looping. While playing immersed was fun, I should have been focusing on my chases.
-
SWF highlights the core problem of DbD. Namely, the abysmal game balance.
When you play against SWF, you really start to see how fast generators can get done, how broken certain loops are, etc.
In many cases, good survivors will play with at least one other good survivor. Good players play together so they can rely on each other instead of randoms (who will likely be trash at the game)
Also, survivors on voice comms is incredibly powerful. It's very hard to pressure good survivors when they are in constant communication.
All in all, many killers dislike SWF teams because they know the match will potentially be very unfun.
-
Two possible reasons:
- They are memeing.
- They are confident in their skills and are trying to psych you out.
-
Unfortunately, the devs have said numerous times they want players to feel the pressure of struggle phase. So I don't think that mechanic will change anytime soon.

I run kindred and the solo queue experience is still pretty miserable. You can give your teammates all the free information they need, they still often make awful decisions.
That's true, but kindred definitely helps out a lot more than second chance perks.

What rank are you playing?
Rank 2.
-
I don't use them anymore because I realized nothing you bring can compensate for bad teammates. Besides, I don't get slugged and tunneled all that much.
If you actually want to have a better experience, I suggest you bring kindred. That perk often times makes a huge difference. And yet not many people run it. Instead, they complain about how miserable the solo queue experience is.
-
The kill rate for my survivor games is pretty high. Usually, there's at least one or two survivors on the team who are absolutely awful.
-
I don't remember much about my early killer games. I started playing DbD because of Tru3talent, so I emulated a lot of what he did.
My early survivor games were super fun. Survivors were actually scared of the killer, and practically everyone played immersed. I miss those days.
-
Usually, I try and keep track of all the places where I'm pretty sure the Hag hasn't set any traps. Then, if she chases me I run to the side of the map with no traps.
-
The devs move slow as molasses when it comes to killer changes.
-
Ghost Face is actually a pretty decent killer.
Not only can he perform well as a hit and run killer, but he can be a reliable insta-down killer if you stalk effectively.
Just make sure you use the map to your advantage while stalking. You'll want to learn all the places you can lean and stalk.
-
Well this is good news. I'm glad BHVR is finally talking about this issue in a serious manner.
Color blind options are one of the most basic accessibility features game developers can add.
-
This meme will never get old.
-
Not being able to complete a rift challenge due to bad luck.
-
Julie is the most attractive. And it's not even close.
-
Giving survivors their own ability could easily upset the balance of DbD. And I don't trust the devs to do it right.
-
News Flash: DS can still come into play even if the killer doesn't tunnel.

How ridiculously strong spirit is was already seen in the ptb period, you didn't get anything done and everyone just died.
Back then spirit was completely silent when phasing and you really couldn't play around it, so I guess something has improved
That's wrong. A lot of people didn't understand how strong Spirit was during her release.
Players really did complain about her being weak.
-
We'll stop complaining when the devs finally give DS a proper nerf.
-
@Kellie said:
Spirit has been talked about since release. She's definitely the most hated killer in the game.
That's not true. When Spirit was released, the general consensus was she was on the weak side. Spirit actually received some buffs during her release period.
It wasn't until a little while after that people realized Spirit was a top tier killer.
-
Probably not. I seldom see the devs admit their own mistakes.
-
Having 60 seconds of pickup immunity is too strong. There needs to be deactivation conditions that prevent survivors from slowing the killer's momentum.
If survivors are progressing the game in a significant way, then they absolutely should not have DS protection.
-
I wish you well my friend.
You were always a voice of reason in the community.
-
Nurse's recharge mechanic.
Given how slow Nurse already is, adding a second cooldown to her power was a bad idea because it greatly disrupted her fast pace playstyle.
-
I think Hag would be the better option. She's stronger than Clown and a lot more fun to play.
-
@MadLordJack said:
It would be more than feasible, but it's never going to happen. It would change the standard of behaviour that the community expects, and thus force them to be more active or risk losing their playerbase via exposure of their general unwillingness to to anything beyond chapters and cosmetics.
You summed it up perfectly.
-
You should have seen how obsessed they were about Nurse back in the day. And we all know how that turned out.
-
DS needs to have deactivation conditions. Such as touching a generator or unhooking a survivor.
If survivors want to slow the killer's momentum, then they shouldn't have DS protection.
-
Wow, you must be so good at the game.

I worked out my favourite movies of all time about 6 months ago. I recently rewatched The Departed and it made me remember that list.
The question is what is your top 10 movies but you don't need to fill that all out. You can just name your favourite and a bit about why you love it.
Before I mention my list I want to make a few things clear.
- Some of these are based of nostalgia. One in particular I know isn't considered a good movie but it's one that I loved as a child and could still watch easily today.
- The order will probably change based off which movie I saw most recently but the top 10 will still be the same.
Ok here's my list:
- The Dark Knight
- The Incredibles
- Django Unchained
- Inception
- The Wolf Of Wall Street
- Kill Bill 1
- Chicago
- Goodfellas
- The Departed
- Doom
Leonardo DiCaprio I can't give the man enough praise. The thing that shocks me is when I look over this list only one of them has Jack Nicholson. Rewatching The Departed just reminded me of why he's one of my favourite actors of all time.
Bet it won't take long to find out what bad movie made my list lol
If you like Leonardo Dicaprio and Jack Nicholson, I recommend you watch two movies: "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest".
The first movie I listed features Dicaprio when he was young. And the second movie I mentioned not only stars Jack Nicholson, but is also considered by critics to be one of the greatest films ever made (and is also my personal fav).
-
As I've said before, I'd rather have game balance updates instead of new chapters.
-
How often you come across certain killers will vary. Right now, I've been seeing a ton of Nurses.
-
The devs say a lot of things.
