    I'll Stick to legacy

But its still a nice skin

    I'm jealous!

  • Wow, very cool looking. Definitely gonna have to buy this one.

  • Probably because a lot of people who play are casuals. They don't have thousands of hours in the game, which means they lack quite a bit of experience.

Of course, some are just boosted lol. Can't really do much about that.

Just focus on becoming as good as you can be.

  • Yep, I'll probably start running Prove Thyself now.

  • Is that really the new Nurse skin? Holy Jesus.

  • In my humble opinion, Legion is really bad for the game.

The devs somehow managed to create the most brain-dead and boring killer possible.

I really think the design team should go back to the drawing board on Legion. Redesign his power to be more skill-oriented for both sides.

  • My Nurse eats DS users for breakfast.

  • I'm going to be brutally honest here. Legion is the worst killer the devs have ever released.

It's not an exaggeration to say that Legion is a brain-dead killer. There really is hardly any skill cap.

I think the devs should just scrap their "deep wound" idea and come up with something else. Something that factors in the killer's skill and the survivor's skill.

As it stands now, survivors absolutely loathe playing against Legion and i don't blame them. I play solo survivor at rank 1 and Legion definitely is a pain to verse.

At the very least, the devs should change the power in some way to make it more skill-oriented for both sides.

  • Technically, those realms are unfair for killers. The see-through walls make looping incredibly strong.

  • NOED tends to be a noob stomper. Veteran survivors can usually break the totem shortly after it activates.
So in that sense, it's not a super strong perk.

That said, as a staunch killer main, I'm not a huge fan of NOED. I do feel it's a little cheap, but I've warmed up to the perk in recent months.

In all honesty, I can see why NOED has its place. It really does punish survivors for taking advantage of gen rushing and strong loops.

People say that NOED is for bad killers, and while that is somewhat true, there are situations where I think NOED is justified.

Say a killer gets Coldwind Farm verse survivors who are skilled at looping. That match is basically a loss for the killer. It's not the killer's fault, rather terrible map design. But NOED allows the killer to dish out some end game revenge. So when you look at it that way, I don't really have a problem with NOED.

Now if the devs ever nerf these really strong loops survivors have, then I wouldn't care if NOED gets changed too.

  • Nah, I'm getting my benevolence points.

  • Honestly, killer is a nightmare all together on console. I don't think there is much you can do.

  • When I transitioned over to PC, I immediately starting learning Nurse.

Even tho it took some time, I made it to rank 1 with Nurse. Good times.

  • Honestly, I think the entire end game should probably be reworked.

  • The t-bagging isn't going to stop unless the game becomes balanced.

  • While I'd normally advise against using such builds because they ruin the fun for the killer, here's arguably the most crutch survivor build possible:

    DS
    Sprint Burst/Dead Hard
    Unbreakable
    Adrenaline

    So many second chances.

  • The devs haven't even addressed gen rushing yet. It doesn't seem smart to enable SWF groups to be even more toxic.

  • Eh, hard to say really.

I don't particularly care for Meg, Nea, or Dwight. Mainly, because they tend to be the most toxic.

  • I think a time-out penalty would do the trick. Any time a player leaves, they are prohibited from using matchmaking for 15-20 mins.

That will make people think twice about casually leaving a game.

  • The new changes aren't ideal for killer, but honestly, I think we should just role with it.

Now survivors have no reason to complain about BBQ anymore. Because there are so many counters for it now.

  • Have you seen Mathieu Cote play killer? Lel

  • @Master said:
    haddonfield

    This is the correct answer.

  • Tunneling means the killer really likes you.

  • I personally find Claudette very boring to play.

    I'd rather play daddy Jeff.

  • I guess I can't comment because I'm not a survivor main :(

  • DS needs to die already. Such a horribly designed perk.

  • Already completed the survey over on the steam forums.

Just wanted to say again that I'm glad you guys are doing this. Hopefully, the devs take your rework concept into serious consideration. Leatherface is a very iconic figure in the horror genre. He deserves to be a strong killer.

  • The hatch mechanic should be re-worked.

But unfortunately balancing the hatch seems to be quite difficult.

  • Oh, so Feng Min can have her bunny ears, but Nurse can't have a French Maid skin?

    Smh.

  • One of the better tier lists that I've seen.

  • Sounds good to me.

The only potential problem I see is SWF annoying the hell out of the killer with it.

  • Hmmm.

    Probably Spirit and Doctor.

  • Killer lobbies are really long right now.

We just have to hope the devs implement a fix soon.

  • I don't want there to be any free escapes.

  • @RSB said:
They buffed their stealth, so it is time they nerf looping.

    Thank you!

  • No pressure and his ability doesn't help him in a chase (unless the survivor makes a serious mistake).

  • Spirit is nothing compared to Nurse.

    Nurse completely dominates chases.

But as someone who used to play on console, I can see why you made this post. It's hard to imagine how good Nurse is when you play on console.

  • Pfft....

I don't think the devs will do that for their players. At least, not for a while.

  • I don't know either.

I felt Borrowed Time was fine before.

  • Game needs to be more balanced at high ranks.

Getting face camped in the low ranks should hopefully provide enough motivation to improve your survivor skill.

  • Hmmmm.

Balanced Landing, Alert, Small Game, and Diversion sounds like it would be fun.

  • Dude, one pick-up is already very strong. One Unbreakable can single handedly turn a game around.

Unlimited pickups would be way too powerful.

    C'mon now.

  • It's a free escape in a game where killers are already under-powered verse good survivors.

    C'mon now.

  • Yep, I'm not impressed with these changes either. Oh well, it is what it is.

This is the first time I'll be spending all my bp on the survivor first. I may not even touch the new killer for a while.

  • Leatherface is one of the more fun killers to play.

So if they buffed him, that would be great.

  • To be fair, the new killer is pretty fun to play.

I love being able to counter looping with my power.

  • Unfortunately, I don't think he will be very good.

The main advantage of this killer is injuring multiple people, thus, slowing the game down.

Which means all survivors have to do is stay spread out. He can't injure multiple people if everyone splits up.

I think he will likely need a rework for him to be viable.
Unless! There's something we're missing. But I doubt it.

I’ve played probably around 1000 hours on billy and I can say that you don’t need q and e to steer. I honestly just lowered my sensitivity. You should think of the hillbilly players that use q and e to steer as ‘hillbilly hipsters’. We don’t need them.

To hit survivors that are 360ing, all you really need to do is stay in one place with your chainsaw whilst they do their little dance around you. It makes it much easier for yourself, while they just look stupid spinning in circles.

Hitting a survivor around a loop is just practice. Some loops you’ll never hit survivors on no matter how good you are. Best to practice on the shorter loops first.

The problem is I play Nurse on a high dpi.

And there's no way I can alternate between a high and low dpi.

Learning q and e will allow me to play Billy with a 3200 dpi.

If I could have it my way, I'd rather play Billy with just a mouse. But that doesn't seem possible right now.

Your build is meta, there's no issue with that. Maybe try Sloppy or Ruin over Whispers? Totally up to you on that one, but whispers is never a bad choice. If survivors are juking you, you're probably being too predictable. Get right behind them, like you said melee range. Try stalling your chainsaw right around 95% and wait for their 360. Once they try and 360 you, that's your chance to hit them. Also aim your mouse down a little bit (towards Billy's feet), you'll have a better view of the survivors when they try and juke you.

As for the window, I'm not sure I understand your question. Maybe rephrase it? As for Q and E, I know there's some pretty advanced moves you can do with Billy at loops, but those are pretty hard to do. I just M1 at loops honestly. I don't even see Zubat usually play like that and he's one of the best Billy's out there. Normally, use Q and E for steering across the map, but just use the mouse for normal chainsaws.

Pro tip. Instead of Q and E, use A and D to body block up close then hit your chainsaw.

    Thanks!

I will definitely practice aiming down with the chainsaw.

As for keeping the chainsaw revved at 95%, I don't really see Zubat doing that (as far as I can tell). If he spots someone, he just revs up the chainsaw without pausing and hits the survivor.

Is that because he wasn't being 360'd hard? From my perspective, it looks like his tracking is good enough to not need pausing.

As for the window question, I'll try and rephrase.
There are situations where I catch survivors out in the open. I pull out my saw and the survivor tries to jump through the window. Even though I'm close behind them, the survivor is able to dodge the chainsaw at the last second, causing me to hit the window.

Is that a situation where Billy is supposed to win or do you have to predict that they will dodge?

Moreover, sometimes I see Zubat chainsaw someone who is looping the shack.
As the survivor is heading through the doorway, Zubat pulls out the saw and catches the survivor before they can reach the pallet or window (without add ons).

Again, is Billy supposed to win this or is it all based on prediction. I.e guessing which way the survivor will fake.

Zubat is using Q and E, so he can react to sudden movements. If you use mouse only, you need some tricks to work around the wonky whip. Hold the chainsaw and see how the survivor jukes. They usually have a predictive pattern and dont change it up much. Some 360 forever, others do wiggles, some spin on the spot etc. Take 2-3 seconds and see how they move, then start the chainsaw when they're starting to turn. That's when they're most vulnerable. Keep on practicing mouse only, it may be inferior to q and e, but its honest and feels much better imo.

Those windows are predictive, you cant react and steer into him if they dodge at the last second. What works most of the time: Bad survivors take the window. Good survivors wont. If a survivors seems competent, just hold the saw and make them "dodge" the window and then you're right behind them for a normal chainsaw.

Also be patient in general. Wait with your hammer till the last moment, they may 360 a window and then you bodyblock it for a chainsaw. When they fall for a fakerev at a pallet, dont hammer him. Rev up the chainsaw and try to nail him if he keeps looping. If he turns back to the loop, bodyblock it. Try and bodyblock everything, really. Wait with your chainsaws aswell, you may get a safer chainsaw opportunity seconds later. They dodge themselves into a wall or tree and then one dodge direction is gone for an easy hit. Its all about consistency and getting chainsaws through bodyblocks.

And for your mouse settings, you need a low sensitivity to control the whip. If you're really into mouse billy and mastering him, you should probably be around 400-1000 dpi (im using 400 dpi 50%). I used to play him at 1200 dpi around the rework, but it lacks real control of the whip since its so sensitive to movement.

Thanks so much for a detailed response.

I will definitely try and catch survivors at those loops. And your window tip is genius.

The mouse setting tips are a tremendous help as well. Being mostly a Nurse main, I was used to playing on 3200 dpi in order to hit those 360s. I turned it down to 1600 but was still running into issues with the whip.

I will practice with 800 dpi from now on. Hopefully, I can start catching those 360s.
And I will certainly start being more patient with the chainsaw considering I'm only using the mouse.

I have no personal issue with using "q' and "e", it's just I can't control the killer lol.

I'm guessing you play Billy without using q and e as well?

Get 'em. Vroom vroom. 3200 to 800 will take some time getting used to, but you'll get a much better feel for it.
Q and E is very consistent and easy to control the chainsaw, its a lot better for those midrange loopsaws when you turn a corner with the whip. I've tried it out for a short while after i discovered zubats stream, but it felt wrong. I also forgot about it all the time. I went into dozens of games telling myself to use q and e, just to forget about it every single time lol, so i stick with the mouse.

I used to play him at 1200 dpi around the rework, but it lacks real control of the whip since its so sensitive to movement.

So my 100 sensitivity is bad?

The lower the better. Depends on your mouse dpi aswell. The whip is just a crazy sensitivity curve and if you have lower sens, you have more room to control it. Lets say you want to whip around a rock. With 400 dpi you have to move the mouse by 1cm during it. If you're playing at 2000 dpi you have to do the same motion over 2mm, which is almost impossible. So the lower your sensitivity, the less ridiculous micromovements you have to make. I went as low as i can without running out of mousepad and still able to track 1-2 360s.

Update: Just played a match with 800 dpi. And boy was it brutal.

The worst part was trying to follow survivors around loops. I felt like I had to shake the mouse because the turns aren't very sharp.

But overall, it seemed like I had better control over the chainsaw. I couldn't really feel much whipping like I did with 1600 dpi.

I'll practice some more with it tomorrow. Queue times are complete ass right now.

I even went into the killer tutorial to play around with q and e again. But it was still very hard to control. I don't know how in the hell you are supposed to body block AND control the chainsaw with q and e.

The mouse just seems much more simple and straight forward.

My biggest concern is being able to alternate between 800 dpi and 3200 dpi. I would like to be able to seamlessly rotate between Billy and Nurse.
