@Peasant once you have charm reward does it automatically appear on you?

No, you have to go to your cosmetic menu and select the empty sections to equip all charms.

I'm not sure what you're getting at, and I didn't pose an argument involving Ghostface. I'm just telling you what Undetectable is supposed to do.

And my post was to get a buff for Myers because this change nerfs him?

And I asked what difference does myers have with ghostface because with this change they are pretty much 95% identical.

  • image.png

Nope, Have to wait until literally everyone gets everything done and then you can kill the obsession.

That is a scene from a movie, not a game mechanic. In mechanical terms, a stealthed killer:

    • Has no terror radius.
    • Has no red stain.
    • Cannot have their aura revealed.

That's the extent of it. Myers' tier 1 Evil Within falls into this category. Ghostface's stealth, Wraith's cloak, Pig's crouch, and Demogorgon's warp will all fall into this same bucket. The entire point of Undetectable was to create a quantifiable definition of what "stealth" means in terms of game mechanics.

So what's the difference between him and ghostface? Answer that. and maybe I'll give you a cookie for being a good sport.

Being susceptible to Spine Chill and Premonition does not prevent you from doing that.

Source: Every other Stealth Killer pre-Undetectable.

But here's the thing.. Myers doesn't get any benefit from changing his TR in EW1 to 0.

Other People: "But it's 6 Meters Less!!!!"

    And?

Either way you have to be RIGHT on top of them to be able to know you are there.

So they nerfed him making it look like his EW1 TR got buffed. Which isn't the case.

And guess what the other stealth killers have to combat this? (To combat: Spine chill and premonition) That's right!

A second Killer ability to guess what? GO BACK IN STEALTH.

    What does Myers Have?

    NOTHING.

All I was suggesting is that either his EW2 or his EW3 TR gets reduced to compensate for this awful change.

  • @TAG said:

OP, what do you think makes a stealth Killer a stealth Killer, if you don't mind me asking?

    the ability to do this:

    At any time.

(And yes in this part of the movie he was technically in EW2 / EW3 NOT EW1)

Pennywise, is overrated IMO. He could be a good fit, but to me he is kinda unscary.

Myers explained the difference between those perks and yours. As well as Ebony Mori.

And there is no way that a perk like this wouldn't be abused by people to get easy games and steal victory from defeat -- sort of like how NoEd works today.

But I do agree with The Hex totem one where if the hex is broken it applies a blindness effect to all survivors impacted.

But, in return it should have an option to disable the perk like any other hex.

So this Dark Trapped totem once broken will give all Survivors impacted by the survivor who broke it gets an infinite blindness status effect, but once all totems on the map are broken the perk then disables. (will not impact sound notifications - Just aura reading)

This will give more pressure on survivors. And could make all totems a priority (Like a second objective.)

But the other perks need alooooot of work in my opinion.

EDIT: to show that the perk has been activated, all totems when the trapped totem is broken will all become lit.

  • @Tohmo said:

Doesn't Devour Hope and Rancor allow you to kill a survivor for free? And the existence of the Ebony mori? Even if it encourages genrushing, people who run it would be confident in their own pressure enough for it to not happen.

Yes but Devour Hope and Rancor have set conditions.

Devour Hope Requires you to hook survivors.

Rancor requires you to sit back and let all the survivors escape except the obsession.

Moris exist but are hard to find in bloodwebs at times. But still you need to hook them at least once then you can kill them.

  • @MrDardon said:

Last time I did it and it was pretty successful.

    • Play with your Food (even if I didn't get any Tokens but still killed all 4 somehow)
    • Corrupt Intervention (Early game slowdown, they can't rush far gens as easy as possible)
    • Hex: Ruin (Kind of an backup if I don't get enough stalk during Corrupt Intervention, or it's a reverse backup if it get's cleansed early on, Corrupt helps me there)
    • Bamboozle (To block off good windows to make it easier for myself)

Will have to try this in my next run.

I was close to getting it (3K)

    I had these Perks:

    -Save The Best For Last

    -Dying Light

    -I'm All Ears

    -& Spirit Fury

    I had these Addons:

    -Judith's Tombstone

    -J. Myers Memorial

    I had this offering:

    -Jigsaw Piece

I got 3 Survivors and the other survivor got to the Exit Gates when i killed the 3rd survivor

  • It is a bannable offense after the do it multiple times.

You could also report them for being unsporting. Which would also help the devs to see if they do it frequently.

  • Laurie's Leaked Cosmetic.

I like her torso, but her skirt is... just barf.

Like... I know what look they were trying to go for but... Her hair and her skirt are unpleasing to look at.

So the torso better be compatible with her brown pants lol.

  • It could work, but would have really really bad consequences.

For example, you reported a Nurse for Lag Switching, The session ID:XXX-XXX-XXX would then be checked by the developers, if they conclude that they just had a bad ping then by your post it would be considered "False Reporting"

So then you would be banned for just guessing that he had a Lag Switch if part of the match lags then it stops then lags again.

So that is a BIG issue.

So if they were to introduce this, it will most likely not come to the reporting option unless YOU specifically can tell from a lag switch to just a bad ping.

But I could see this being added in a "Theater Mode" So it will save a video of the entire game to your version of The game.

    example of this is:

    -Call of Duty Theater Mode

    or

    -Overwatch Highlights/Replays

So it could work. But also can cause trouble.

    Just depends.

That is a very large number of words to say nothing of merit. Michael doesn't need or deserve a buff because of 2 rarely used perks. It's not like those perks make them immune to being stabbed. Even when I'm playing Michael I don't care if survivors use those perks. That is one less perk slot for DS, Adreneline, BT, SC, Balanced Landing, etc.

"Even when I'm playing Michael I don't care if survivors use those perks."

You will be when you get spotted before you even see a survivor.

    Just let that sink in..

  • @Dreamnomad said:

You make it sound like he got a major nerf. He didn't. If they didn't put the change in the patch notes 99% of players wouldn't realize anything even changed. So 2 perks that see minimal play are effective against him during the first minute of the game when they previously wouldn't have been. Whoopty Doo. Any decent Shape will still get to EW2 in a decent amount of time. Your asking for compensation for something that you already got compensation for. You now have 0 terror radius baseline in EW1. You got a minor buff in place of a minor nerf.

False. (As a P3 Level 42 Myers That has seen Purple and Red ranks) Here's My opinion of the facts:

    before PTB Myers:

    • Has 6 meter terror Radius. (M&A makes this 0, which also reduces EW2 to 8 meters, with the dead rabbit addon this also makes EW2 only 4 Meters.)
    • Could not be detected with ANY detection perks to compensate with his slow speed in everything.

    After PTB Myers:

    • Has 0 meter Terror radius (Which technically he already had.)
    • Can now be countered by Spine Chill and premonition.
    • EW2 and EW3 are the same
    • His Slow sloth speed is the same in EW1
    • Technically has NO stealth mechanic whatsoever

Every Stealth Killer except Myers has:

    • A 2nd Killer Ability to make them completely silent. (Myers doesn't have any stealth abilities when in EW2 or EW3)
    • If they can't chase them in stealth then they can get out of stealth mode. (Myers can't he is forced to keep stalking)
    • They have 100% movement speed, unless specifically using their Main killer power (Myers is a sloth in EW1 and can be easily juked.)

Therefore Myers is NOT a stealth killer if they nerf him.

He would become a plain old killer that would be easy to predict.

In his current form before the PTB, he had unpredictability. Now he can become more and more predictable.

The reason why no one runs Premonition or spine chill often is because they know if it's a myers it is useless information if he stays in EW1. But after this nerf more and more people will likely use it more often since EVERY killer can be seen by them. Which makes Myers even more predictable.

This post is to make an Idea that Myers should get a better buff than the 0 Terror radius which is technically the same as a 6 meter one. (It doesn't have much of a difference)

So i was suggesting that maybe buff his EW2 and if needed his EW3.

Or just buff his base kit after all. Like add an Endurance effect to D.S. and or pallet stuns. (Obviously start out low and with each tier increase the effect)

So if they truly want Myers to be like all the other Stealth killers:

    -Ghostface

    -The Pig

    -The Wraith

Then they should at least buff him a little bit more to meet their quota of by quote of the Devs: "the same as all other Stealth Killers"

Because at this stage he is THE WORST stealth killer in the game and shouldn't be classified as so if he doesn't get any buffs to compensate, so to end my comment:

This Nerf (Aka the so called buff in your comment) drastically weakens Myers even if YOU don't think it does.

  • @Raptorrotas said:

The problem with Myer's EW1 conversion to the new mechanic is that he cannot choose to just disable the negative parts of his stealth in EW1, unlike the other Stealth killers.

    • Pig: can just stand up, disabling her stealth.
    • Ghostface can stand up anytime and still be undetectable, but it slightly increases his risk to be revealed.
    • Wraith doesnt care and just whooshes next to the survivor anyways, like he always did, he has to uncloack anyways to attack.
    • Myers in EW1 needs to ambush survivors to tier up, he cant just "nope gonna chase normally".

Myer's is the only Killer who actively LOST something in that conversion. If he cant ambush them in EW1, he is screwed, while the other 3 just go M1.

Exactly, So I want something to buff myers to compensate. Like if we changed all of his EW terror radiuses then he could be viable like the other stealth killers. Cause then it would be harder to tell where he is coming from.

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/787656#Comment_787656

The change to his T1 is a sidegrade, and they dont really need to buff his T2 to compensate for a "nerf" when his T2 wasnt affected at all.

But then I could argue it did.

Since the devs want "All stealth killers to be the same"

Then why not litterally make them close to the same?

    @GunDemNoobs said:

I mean, i don't see a lot of difference here.. Maybe you will struggle a little bit more if survivors are using spine chill to get to Evil 2. Lets be real tho, you will never see 4 people running spine chill at high ranks, so you still have at least a minimum of 2/4 survivors if not more to surprise.

  • @FireHazard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/787611#Comment_787611

Having T2 at 8M's isn't really that bad of an idea I suppose? But than the argument can be said that M&A would make it literall 0, so idk if buffing Tier ll would really be... a good idea.

Would 0, 12, 24 be more fair? Kinda?

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

    More like 0 - 10 - 24. 16 metres TR with Monitor is scary for T3.

    I would say:

0, 12 and 24 would be more fair.

    12 + MA = 4

    24 + MA = 16 (which could be OP..)

  • @Mochan said:

Well, he is still a stealth killer... but only in EW1. As always we build Myers up to if we want to do more stealth or not. Maybe they'll reduce his TR at EW2? I don't know. Having no EW2 TR with M&A would be a lot of fun, and since you need to use a perk to do it it's not so bad.

Do we know what his TR will be when the new patch hits?

    In the new patch:

EW1 = 0 (Has no terror radius, but cannot counter S.C. or P)

    EW2 = 16 (Normal)

    EW3 = 32 (Normal)

I just think Myers needs something to by quote of the devs: "Be The same as all of the other stealth killers"

  • @Mochan said:

Spine chill is used a lot. Nerfing Myers won't change that or suddenly make people use it more. People aren't "out to get" Myers.

Myers doesn't need a buff to EW2, though I admit that would be nice. But Dead Rabbit wouldn't be useful anymore and would become redundant. But I think Undetectable Myers in EW2 is a little OP to be honest.

But here's the issue, how's he a stealth killer if they removed the only stealth he had. (The undetectable of all perks)

He doesn't have a second ability. He easily is brought down to a C or a B tier. (Instead of staying an A tier).

They got to do something to compensate with his unneeded Nerf.

  • @ThxForFacecamping said:

I dont see how it could be a massive nerf, since Spine Chill and Premonition arent very commonly used

Also, T3 Myers w/ 16m terror radius would be way too powerful. Combined with Monitor, Survivors would have no time to react

Well then again if no one is safe from spine chill or Premonition alot of people will use it.

And then maybe we could keep EW3 with it's 32 radius but we should definitely buff EW2 to be the original 6 or at least half of it's current radius (which would be 8 meters)

  • My Top Weakest:

    -Legion

    -Plague

    -Demogorgon

-EW1 Myers in The 3.3.0 PTB

  • I tunnel only if that Claudette is bugging me.

Especially if they try to blend in.

Try to Blend in = Moried

I recently had a game where I used calm spirit. At one point in the game I got a unhook and I yelled. I thought calm spirit reduces the urge to scream but apparently not with make your choice. I feel that it would be a little stronger since the killer wouldn't hear which survivor got the unhook. I was wondering if this yelling with calm spirit is a bug or is intended?

Intended. I assume. Cause either way you unhooking the survivor is going to make a noise anyway.

So.. Screaming at the hook isn't really a big deal -shrugs-

  • Keys are Powerful and could let survivors escape, but it is verrrrry situational. I had 2 Survivors bring in a Skeleton Key and a Dull Key.

They both got sacrificed because of their decisions. They both had White Ward and had addons to see Survivors Auras.

They all died to a Myers ;)

  • -stares-

That is why Inner Strength and Second Wind are perks alongside Self Care.

Destroy 5 Totems at 5 Different Times = 5 Self Heals within 8 seconds = No NOED = No Ruin = No Thrill of The Hunt = No Devour Hope = Yes Haunting Grounds But also Removes it. = Huge Win!

2 Unhooks = 2 Self Heals = Do Gens until Healed (Within 30 Seconds). = Big Win Win.

Self Care = Unlimited Heals within the game. = Fully Healed = More Gens could be done without being worried about your current position (Or how many times hooked or how many totems are left) = Success!

So All of these perks has Pros and also has a few Cons.

We shouldn't remove Self-Care or any of these other perks. Nor should we change them, these aren't OP. But will be useful without having to search 6 Chests hoping to get a Med-Kit because no one on your team will heal you. (Or if you are getting dominated by the killer in which the Killer sacrifices the 3 other survivors and you either have to A: Find the Hatch or B: Open the Exit Gate)

  • Any stalk movement speed + Boyfriend's Memo = good

  • Both =/

But now-a-days you need all the heals you can get.

  • Always need a Self Healing Perk...

  • I feel as if this added into his lore is unneeded, but maybe an upcoming survivor could be in the LGBT?

I just feel already established characters shouldn't be pushed into the LGBT realm.

So maybe someone could make an LGBT character concept, But other than that lore wise, no one established should be pushed into that realm.

That's my thoughts on the matter.

  • image.png

African American, Just like @Boosted_Dwight stated.

  • It is fine. Plus if it was base kit it would literally be overpowered.

  • I run Inner Strength with it so I can save my inner strength for the E.G.C

  • @DelsKibara said:

I've read a lot of "Nerf Spirit" and "The Spirit is fine. Don't nerf her." threads yet I seem to still feel like I'm missing exactly why people want to nerf her or why she is fine.

I personally think she is fine, because after playing her (and becoming a Spirit main) for a while, she has a steep learning curve that isn't so easily accessible for most players, very reliant on survivors making sound or scratch marks to use her power (Something most stealth survivors can easily avoid with perks like Spine Chill (which is an underrated perk in my opinion) and Iron Will.), and even when she is chasing after a survivor and using said power, the survivor can juke her making her guess where they exactly went (which I'm finding to become more and more common the higher up the rank I go since I took a break).

Now, that's not to say that Spirit isn't powerful. She most definitely is. Sometimes maybe too powerful with the right addons (I'm looking at you, Beads). I've had rounds of matches where the survivors couldn't even get 1 generator down before all of them die or disconnect.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/895/7E5YNLXPFKLS.png

I hope this screenshot is alright, I didn't blur the names of the survivors because I don't mean this screenshot to reflect negatively on them.

With games like these and add-ons as powerful as her's, I can understand why some survivors want to cry out for her to be nerfed. I would also hate playing against her whenever I play as a survivor.

But I also want to hear everyone's exact reasoning, their personal reasons as to why they want to keep her the way she is/nerf her to an agreeable level. Why do you personally want to change her/keep her the way she is?

I'd like to add for everyone to keep this conversation civil, as this has been a pretty hot topic in the forums lately, and I want to see if there is a compromise to be made in regards to her and her powers.

I feel as if she's fine.

I've went against a Prayer Beads Spirit, and tbh... It was fun.

Yes it was annoying at times, but fun.

It gave me a chill down my spine not knowing when she would show up and that's the spooky part.

She's one of my favorite killers.

She just spices this game up.

Yes, Street wise reduces the consumption of items by 15/20/25% and Odd Bulb increases the battery consumption slightly.

We know that by "battery consumption" they're referring to the items overall charge and consumption rate... so knowing that, Street Wise should actually outweigh the slight battery consumption by a fair bit... not a big amount but a fair bit. Since a few seconds off the battery is kind of a lot...

So we'll say slightly reduced... 2 seconds, and street wise increases it by... 3? 4? That's 1 or 2 seconds added onto the flashlight. The actual statistics are left up to be figured out by anyone who actually wants to bother with that... but I can tell you for sure it outweighs it since "slightly" on the debuff scale isn't really a lot.

    side note

Whether the 15% on the first tier of Streetwise can outweigh it is unknown to me personally... but 20% and 25% should be able to outweigh it yes.

Odd Bulb only consumes 12% Faster

so Streetwise would make it more effective by:

    3%

    8%

    or

    13%

    Hopefully this helps.

  • It would be cool, but would be extremely hard to implement.

  • Plague and Demogorgon.

    Both kinda weak as heck.

    Definitely needs buffs.

  • Soft bans are the way to go.

    24hrs to a week to a month.

    No perm bans.

They could always have power outages or something.

And they get banned? That would be terrible.

So I'd say 5 DC's a day should get you a soft ban

  • Gotta be like Batman.
