- If you fall for dead hard against no mithers, uninstall
- You can use DH without no mither too. Not that you should fall for it in the first place.
- 9% per person. Its 27% only with 3 people, so you mean 327% for 3 people, which is still 109%.
Healing is not a waste of time. I did some math before, you only need to get chased for 10-15s to make healing (vs gens) worth it. The attack cooldown and sprintburst from getting hit make up for 10s already, so unless you run into walls or potato hardcore, its worth healing for your fellow genrushing teammates.
I would only consider not healing, when the game is about to end. Either the survivors are about to open the gates or escape or the killers is about to 4 slug and you NEED the last gen done or the second for hatch atleast. Healing means playing it safe, which is good if survivors are ahead. They dont want to throw a winning match by not healing and then getting 4 slugged. Not healing is risky like slugging, sometimes worth it for immediate advantage. But only if you know what you're doing. If you go down quickly because you didnt heal, you missplayed.
If everyone just goes broken and doesnt care, they're dead. Its a terrible strat.
If you heal that often, then thank God I don't swf with you.
Where did you get 109 and 327 from?
I don't fall for DH against No Mithers, but you can easily use DH to extend a chase anyway by reaching a pallet or window you normally couldn't get to, which then extends the chase for dumb amounts of time.
The time you spend to heal can easily be replaced with doing a gen. If you don't use No Mither, then run Adrenaline and gen rush into it. It's actually that simple.

Sounds like a lot of Gitting Gud needs to happen tbh

I already said this, but what is the difference between using Dead Hard as No Mither vs using Dead Hard without it? Its like doing math like this: (2*2)/2 = 2
Assuming the time between being seen to being hit the first time (t1), the time between being hit the first time and using DH (t2), and the time from DH to being downed (t3) is all the same, then you lose 1/3 of your looping time. Granted a lot of factors can make t1, t2, and t3 be vastly different values, but let's just say for the sake of argument they're equal.
So one survivor keeps the killer busy for 2/3 the time he normally would without No Mither. The others are at +9 repair speed on gens thanks to Resilience. This doesn't take into account that they could be using toolboxes, so they're AT LEAST ~27% more productive on gens combined (this number can fluctuate due to how much time they can save by using toolboxes, and it also assumes everyone is working on separate gens) (Prove Thyself really only comes into effect for the last 2 gens if they have it).
So in a hypothetical situation, the differences are minute at best (6% difference? More or less shows how little healing matters). But it's really all situational.

Simple math why no mither is #########:
Resilience adds 9% (or 15%?). So you work at 109%. The chased survivors loops AT MOST for 50% of the time he could. So they work 50% max.
Thats an efficiency of 54,5% with no mither squads for simple genrush. Now add, that hooked survivors take away momentum exponentially more the earlier they go down and its clear, that no mither squads are too occupied dying to rush gens.
This is flawed. If they have DH, that's a helluva lot more than just 50% of the looping time. You also need to make that 9% 27% due to the other three survivors running Resilience and working on gens. It can vary greatly depending on perks and items.
People really need to learn that healing isn't necessary. Like at all. Unless you're going against a Nurse and you still need to do like 3-5 gens, then maybe? But otherwise, healing is a waste of time.

No Mither/Broken/Being injured doesnt make you run faster, or loop better or anything. If the people behind those characters are doing a good job while running around in that state, then that means they will do twice as good without using No Mither. A good coordinated SWF can definitely pull it off, but the fact that they wont be able to be at top health also affects them.
well yeah, but that's why I said only a bit worse and not equal. But being broken as the only downside to being sick isn't enough, and it's shown every time anyone plays against her and destroys her.
Against Plague, though, unironically 4 No Mither survivors don't have any disadvantage against her compared to 4 normal survivors. Her power is that dependent on survivors.

I mean I could go on, but you have it set in your mind shes garbage. Let's wait a month to see if everyone hates on the "cheese" tactics implemented to do well with her, like the legion outburst. Went from garbage killer to no fun to play against bc they're op/broken in the eyes of the community.
No, please go on. Obviously I'm not playing her correctly, or else I'd be like the zero streamers who main her and be saying she's a good killer.
Built-in Surveillance? How? If you mean with the fountains, then no, the can cuck that easily by not cleansing. If you mean with infecting gens or objects, they stop being infected after less than 40 seconds. Big deal. (And that doesn't factor in if the survivor who touches it is already sick).
Like I actually don't understand how anyone finds her good or fun.

Sounds very different to my experience. Broken/Exposed survivors die fast and easily. They cant dodge a single hit for minutes, let alone multiple gens. Without the stronger half of their health states, they actually go down fast. And if multiple survivors are broken, thats a huge timeframe to just take over the game. How often do lose against 4x no mither? How strong to you think its in comparison to 4x normal survivors?
Imo running around broken to deny a corrupt form is shooting yourself in the foot. I'd love to see survivors doing this "strat" against me. Perma noed is neat
How often do you lose to 4 No Mither? Have you ever seen a No Mither sabo squad?
If they're coordinated, they're only a bit worse. No Mither isn't broken by any means but it's far from the ######### perk everyone thinks it is.
Again, broken is a joke. If they have situational awareness, they'll reach a loop before you can get to them, then you have to go through the same long chase. Especially if they stay separated but coordinated, then you're screwed.

I find Plague decent. Not top tier, not weak either. Somewhere along Myers, Pig and Clown in the higher midtier. Breaking survivors after a set time is strong against good loopers. And plague has a harder huntress M2+M1 combo. In corrupt form, she is one of the strongest killers but she pays in instaheals for it.
Decent powerlevel, although i really hope for more Billys, Huntress and Spirits in terms of killer powerlevel. Close though
I find her corrupt purge to be at best on par with Huntress' hatchets. And Huntress doesn't require survivors to insta-heal at lockers in order for you to collect hatchets from them just to only be able to use them for 1 minute.
Being broken is a joke. Just gen rush harder. Then cleanse once the gens are done. Bam, you've countered Plague entirely.
She's nowhere close to Myers or Pig. Clown, maybe (because Clown is also awful). And Spirit is overrated, but also not bad (more like Myers level).

also to anyone arguing "why cant killers have stuff to counter survivor stuff", they can. exhaustion perks shouldn't be one of them. they're a 1 time use per chase, and you're not always guaranteed to be able to actually use them well (except sprint burst, but sprint burst doesnt care exhaustion addons)
Exhaustion perks are the strongest perks survivors have. Of course there needs to be some counter (and for quite a few killers, there isn't).
-
She's really not any better than anyone at the moment. We had a Freddy situation happen to her. It's like the devs didn't learn anything about not listening to bad players (but then again, they have bad players working on their game and making said balance changes, so.......)
-
@TAG forgot to mention I agree with the rest of the post (other than the "Plague isn't the worst killer" part). Idk why the forums don't allow you to selectively quote specific parts of a post anymore, I'd have broken down your post and said where I agreed and disagreed.

@TAG said:

I'd say being able to break Survivors and down them from there is more than just "slightly annoy." The problem is that by nerfing her speed while holding fully charged purge, she lost the ability to properly set up her shot before releasing the stream, forcing her to use the same "charge and fire" strategy that Leatherface has, only as you said, Leatherface gets to insta-down upon even grazing the Survivor while Plague has to still focus her stream to just be able to put them in a position to be one-shot. She kinda went from being a better Leatherface to a worse Leatherface in that regard IMO.
I still wouldn't call her the worst Killer in the game, though. More a Killer that lost a lot of viability with a single nerf.
I run No Mither a lot because that's how little I care about being broken tbh. There is actually no reason to heal. Just rush the gens, cleanse on your way out. Bam, you've countered Plague entirely.
Also might be a bug, but I'm 100% certain her pallet break animation is longer than other killers'. But surprisingly her gen kick animation speed is the same. I really noticed how bad it was when I took off Brutal Strength on her.
-
God forbid a killer has some kind of counter to a survivor perk. And not every killer even has an exhaustion add-on. Hell, the only one I find worth my time using is Iri King because of its multitude of other effects. The others don't guarantee they're useful because the survivor could just not be running an exhaustion perk.
Honestly, get rid of exhaustion perks if you want to get rid of exhaustion add-ons. They extend chases for absurd amounts of time and require no skill to use. And have no reliable counter.

Look at the list of viable killers, not a single 110% killer =)
What's funny is if gen speeds are ever addressed, Hag and Huntress become viable as #########. But no, we can't add a second objective or increase gen times, that'd be too boring.
-
@Bongbingbing said:
She's not the worst Killer but she's far from the best, I'd say she's straight up Mid tier and How effective she is relies heavily on survivors you face, If they know to dodge the vomit and loop then she's not going to do well but if they run in a straight line she'll get you down fast.
She's only really a threat in a wide Open area or with corrupt purge, which she has to give up any patrolling/chases to go and get giving up even more of her non existent map pressure unless you stumble upon one.
Her Power also instantly heals survivors at a fountain so any healing time done by survivors in the game is gone which gives more time to do gens so you find yourself being gen rushed often.
She's joins the growing group of non-viable killers at red ranks sadly.
So she's a threat in the same areas as Leatherface, but LF has a chainsaw instead of some puke that does nothing but slightly annoy survivors.
Plague's kit is too bloated and was built to have way too many counters to itself from the start. In the end, she's an M1 killer with nothing going for her.
At least we agree that against good survivors she loses. I wish the devs could realize that if a killer insta-loses to good survivors, then said killer is weak, but then again BHVR will always be BHVR.
-
@Nick said:
Surely this is a bait?
Not really. Only two good 110 killers are Hag and Huntress. Spirit to some extent, but she really needs specific add-ons and gets bugged every other patch.
-
People think she's good because they see Scott play her against potatoes and win. She has absolutely nothing going for her.
Marth was destroying survivors left and right and kept calling her mid-tier AT BEST.
She's the worst killer, one that got nerfed a la Freddy (except even worse, because she wasn't that good on PTB yet she got nerfed anyway because the devs don't play their own game enough (minus one or two that I know)). You beg the survivors to allow you to have the power equivalent of Huntress mixed with Leatherface. She's abysmal.

You can hit over objects, which is something Huntress can't do, because of the curve. Isn't this an issue of people not wanting to learn a new killer? If you get a survivor while they're out positioned, you can spray them with your vomit and then one down them. That's something only a few killers can do since when you hit the survivor, they typically get a speed boost and can run towards a safer area. I haven't had troubles with her personally, but the people I'm facing aren't really the best since I'm stuck in higher ranks thanks to the new ranking system.
While her slow affect could be reverted for all I care, you do realize it notifies the killer of the survivor's position essentially when they cleanse, right? And once again, it gives you one of the strongest aspects of hers.
You obviously haven't seen any good Huntress mains play tbh.

"Survivors messing around or playing like absolute noobs"
This is exactly the issue I'm having as solo survivor. Some go down in 5 second chases, many get pulled out of lockers, and a number appear to be just there to troll, fast vaulting repeatedly to get others killed, purposefully farming in front of the killer etc spinning around in circles
To me this is more of a failing of teaching survivors how to play the goddamn game instead of the "wow, killers are so good" kind of problem. A better survivor tutorial is much needed. My good friend Ussylis (I think I butchered his spelling on that one, oof) has made a lot of great survivor tutorials that should basically be required viewing.

I'm hoping to rank up fast. All the survivors I have been playing against are either messing around, or they play like absolute noobs. Way too easy. I've also been experiencing an odd increase in dc's. I agree, the auto-aim is bs; so many times, my swings have magnetized onto the survivors' backs, connecting when they shouldn't have. Hit-boxes are a serious joke as well. I hate that killer mains complain so much about gen-rushing and pallet-looping when it is the only way survivors stand a chance of escaping. You could argue that survivors can 360, but that only works against stupid killers. Then the argument of morons always comes into play: "It's called 'deadbydaylight', not 'survivebydaylight.'" Why people that use this argument are even allowed to own a computer is beyond me.
Good luck with the "ranking up fast" part. I've complained about the new emblem system as killer a lot, but as survivor it's worse. The new emblem system turns survivor into a free-for-all if you wanna pip. As for me, I'm not gonna give a ######### about my survivor rank because it's ridiculous how the emblem system doesn't reward you for good play but more for purposely doing everyone else's share of the work as well as your own (which then forces the other survivors to black pip at best)

For the thing in the OP Huntress hatchets have a wonky hitbox. It is just as likely to clip through them and miss as it is to hit them from 2 feet away like you showed
This is because survivor hurtboxes are a tall, narrow capsule, and sometimes their limbs and faces go outside of this capsule. This was really prevalent when in patch 2.2.0, when they dropped that horrible hatchet hitbox change, hatchets would go through limbs and people's faces constantly.
Dedicated servers, if done right, will fix these issues. But if done poorly, it's going to destroy her.

Everyone on here admits to dodging swf so don't give me that.
People just want ez 4ks. When solo players get fed up then killer mains wont find it so amusing. You'll all just cry for more buffs because it's never enough.
Just saw this buried underneath a ton of replies to this thread but wanted to get to you @The_Crusader
I have never dodged swf just because they're swf. Hell, even during the days where lobbies took forever to fill, I always said swf made me think to myself "thank Christ, a full lobby."
If I lose a game because a survivor legitimately keeps looping me and I spend way too much time on him, then I accept the loss. There are a lot of losses I've had that I'll admit straight up that I just got beat. Whether that was me having a bad day or them just playing super well is irrelevant, but I know when I lose because I just wasn't good enough.
What killer mains (or at least, the ones I talk with all the time) want is for the losses that AREN'T due to being outplayed (where 3 gens pop after one decent chase, then they proceed to lose all pressure due to quad Adrenaline; or when exhaustion perks or insta-heals give a survivor enough time to go to another safe loop and extend the chase for another minute or two; or when a team loads in with 4 toolboxes just so they can hold M1 on gens and get them all done in about 4 minutes) to be rid of as much as possible. Nobody likes losing to bullshit. Hell, I can't tell you how many times I've hated losing to Spirit's with Prayer Beads, Billies with instasaw, or Nurses with extra blinks. It's ridiculous. It just happens a lot less on the killer side because killers just have less bullshit things (and they're always tied to a specific killer via add-ons or how a perk works with said killer).
Both sides can agree that losing to bullshit is not fun. So why not get rid of the bullshit?

Some of those perks are pretty good.. but does this happen every patch? No. And none of them would be crazy not to run.
Why make up a history that's easily proven false?
Distortion is absolutely run quite a bit. So is Breakdown. Why? Because both are really damn good perks (and Distortion is actually broken just like Poised).

Using a crosshair does help quite a bit, but you still need to be good with her. She actually has quite a bit of add-on variety, again her main issue is gens get done way too fast and too many objects just eat her hatchets. Address those and she's in a much better spot.
-
All she really needs (from a Huntress main) is for map design to not completely cuck her from using her hatchets. Lery's is insta-DC material because there's almost no place to use her power. Some loops just eat her hatchets. The environmental collision hitboxes need to be shrunk significantly and walls need to be lowered for her power to really work.
Also that nerf they did to her hatchet velocity in 2.0? Needs to be reverted. Those two changes (and FINALLY ADDRESSING GEN TIMES FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST) would put her in the exact spot she needs to be in.

Or they can not unhook when the killer is nearby? If someone is unhooked before I even have the chance to leave the area, they're getting right back on that hook.

They'll look for them regardless of CI or not. They hate Ruin that much. It's supposed to give you enough time to get a hook or two before 3 gens pop.
-
No, new DS doesn't need any buffs whatsoever. If anything, it might still need nerfs due to how bullshit a free escape in any circumstance is.
-
It's too inconsistent. If they don't spawn nearby the gens that are blocked, it basically does nothing. Though it is really good when the spawns are in your favor.
I can see myself using it over Ruin on a few killers, but some slower ones like my Huntress are probably gonna keep Ruin on their builds. And some killers I'm gonna use both just to stop the gen rush as much as I can.

While both sides whine about playstyles of the other the truth is it’s the variety that keeps the game alive Bc you never know what you’re going to get. The variety is being narrowed to be able to achieve rank, because performance is now relied upon how your opposing team also does. Anyways fair gameplay is going to make the game boring for people who don’t like that gameplay style. Ergo playerbase drop.
This is why I loved victory cube, even if I only got to experience it for its last patch. It was much more based on in-game results than these stupid emblems ever were.
