Coming from a Huntress main, she's inconsistent and map-dependent, but she's insanely fun and feels very rewarding. I love her to death. Still wish she didn't keep getting shadow nerfs and maps would not be so cluttered with debris, but with perks and add-ons included, she's still easily top 4.
Machine gun build needed to die, but the wind-up add-ons should never have been nerfed. They should have just removed their ability to stack. -

It went along the lines of whenever someone was hooked, it would make all gens not being worked on start regressing, and gens being worked on would lose 6/8/10% regression.
I love the idea, but I'd suggest to combine the effects on all gens, no matter if they're being worked on or not. This would give killers an alternative to Ruin, and it would reward good play on the killer's end (ending chases quickly would stall the gens for longer). Any thoughts or suggestions?
It should be per survivor hooked or injured a gen regresses 2%/5s and each upgrade would either give it an extra %or two or decrease the amount of seconds to lose that % (and that effect is applied to 1 gen per survivor that falls under those category i.e. 2 injured survivors and 1 hooked that is 3 gens regressing)
This is more of a rework idea for Thanatophobia tbh. But it did give me an idea of making my idea more like 2% times the amount of time you've hooked a survivor on all gens. This gives you more incentive to not camp and keep going around and hooking the survivors, which seems to be the big concern with this idea from other people.

BBQ is still the best perk in the game for killers because it gives you information of where everyone else is. Even though I despise the locker aura blocking, that alone wouldn't nerf BBQ hard enough to make it not useful (or to run Rancor or Bitter Murmur instead).
That said, Distortion as well is ridiculous. Not because of the aura blocking (though having it blocked for 10 seconds is ridiculous), but it _also hides your scratch marks _. Which is completely over the top and asinine.Overall, I still run BBQ on every killer not named Freddy (because he's the one killer I'd rather use Rancor on) or Hag (because I need to place one or two traps at the hook anyway, so why bother). It never needed any nerfs or counters, but hey, I still find it extremely useful.

If you have someone on the hook, ONLY PLACE ONE TRAP AT IT IF ANY AT ALL (unless it's the basement, then two traps (one at the bottom of the steps and another on the stairs) is more than enough). This is a common mistake I see Hags I play against do, all this does is limit her possible map pressure (which is amazing once she has the time to set it up).
MYC isn't exactly a must-have, but Hag is by far the best user of said perk. M&A is the more must-have perk compared to any other, and I value Nurse's as well over MYC.
I personally run Nurse's, Ruin, MYC, and M&A on Hag. Ruin gives me time to set up my traps at the beginning of the game, which I value over having 4 consistent perks. Some Hag mains (which I'm not) like using Sloppy Butcher instead of Ruin (or instead of MYC). Replacing either is fine, it's personal preference.
Also, for anyone who has any questions on any killer (not just Hag), this discord is a great place to start: https://discord.gg/yUYRj96

Yeah ive seen some hags drop 4 or five near the hook(one in front two to the sides and one at the nearest pallet and or window)
Yeah, this is completely unnecessary. One or two is all you will ever need, because if they won't trip that one or two you place, they won't trip four or five that you could have spammed at the hook.

Honestly, complaining that the PTB isn't long enough or they didn't do an update is silly. They've got deadlines, they need to keep moving and making money. In a perfect world they'd be able to iron everything out and release a flawless patch. That's not going to happen. It never has. Legion isn't unplayable. You might not understand how to use him or like how he plays but if you bought him after reading about the PTB and the changes they were going to implement then that's your own fault. It's akin to buying an EA game for $60 and then complaining when it's inevitably being sold at $30 three months later. It's called the early adopter's fee. In situations like Freddy it's ridiculous, I admit, but Clown? Spirit? They got good buffs and are very viable killers. Is Legion going to be as good as them? I'm not so sure, but that's the risk you take when you rush to buy new content. Everyone can come on here and complain till their blue in the face but the only thing that talks is numbers aka $$$.That feel when I said ignore the balance issues yet people make the post about balance issues. There are huge game-breaking bugs, that's the problem with the patch and why it's so ridiculous that it was released as-is.
-
I don't mind delayed content if the patch itself isn't a bug-infested mess like this one is. This is just ridiculous.HatCreature said:A lot of these bugs are from the new engine update and there are a LOT of bugs that take time to fix. Of course I would have OK with that if it meant that the game would be bug free but I'd still be disappointed.

You do not want "competence", you want "perfection". Any piece of code more complex than "Hello World" will have bugs, and some of those bugs will fail detection. It's simply not possible to find every bug in a piece of code.
Huntress hatchets and Clown bottles can't be thrown into the main building. Also Hillbilly and Leatherface act like they bump into a wall when trying to chainsaw into the building.

It’s because the devs have had an obvious bias towards Survivors for years now. My point basically is you already have the stealth tools you'll ever need. Use them to your advantage. Distortion, Urban Evasion, and Iron Will are all amazing perks, your stealth tools are already there. Any more and it'll be too easy to stay hidden forever.
-
We don't complain about Iron Will because it's a really good but not OP perk. It's how good perks should be. Dance is underrated, Windows is average. Stealth for a purpose (juking out the killer when you're about to be found) is fine and all, but being immersed and stealthing the entire time is boring to play against for everyone involved.Entità said:@Maximus7 said:
Less immersion, please. The reason people like me (with over 1k hours at least) keep playing is for the interactions between survivor and killer. Hide and seek gets old really quick on both sides. You already got Distortion (which is alrready ridiculous as-is) and locker aura blocking, you don't need any more stealth buffs.People like you deserve the utmost respect, but they are not the universal unit of measure for all players: each of them prefers one or more aspects of the game, and they are all equally worthy of consideration.
Moving on to the practical side, I've never seen killers complaining about Iron Will or Windows of Opportunity or Dance with Me, and I've almost never seen survivors using them. Making the perks I listed in the opening post more desirable means to create a strong competition with the inflated combination "Adrenaline (or Borrowed Time) + Decisive Strike (or Deliverance or Urban Evasion) + Dead Hard (or Sprint Burst or Lighte or Balancing Landing) + SelfCare (a large majority of survivors use it)": the game would gain in variability, and those perks would not take the mold on a shelf.

The only thing I've noticed with Huntress is environmental hitboxes seem bigger, so hatchets get eaten by stuff a tad more often. Other than that, nothing.
As for Billy, yeah, that chainsaw feels weird. And Clown has like 3 new bugs, it's weird. -
The amount of bugs, glitches, and crashes the game has had since the new update is beyond acceptable. And the balance changes they made without any input from the community (buffing BT even though everyone liked it the way it was before, locker aura blocking, Deep Wound and Legion changes that didn't help, etc) didn't help, either. They need to hold off on the next chapter and have an update where they focus solely on balance issues that reputable players / the community in general wants addressed (hatch, buffing weaker killers, buffing useless perks for both sides, secondary objective/gen time, etc) instead of coming out with lackluster content and terrible/buggy updates.Dreamnomad said:They are already actively addressing most of the issues players have with the game. The timeline wouldn't change much even if they did.

Your comment about it being possible to chase down survivors at 110 without a power is flawed, though. Windows and pallets are things.powerbats said:@MhhBurgers said:
Fact is that you run at the same speed as survivors if they perfectly cut corners and therefore cannot kill a survivor in a regular loop without your power.
Also ur Speshul_kitten, so I consider your arguments void anyways
Facts are stubborn things you can't twist them to fit your false narrative.
Survivors movement speed is capped at 100 at all times unless using a bonus effect such as Sprint Burst which gives 150% for a few seconds. There's also hope Perk but that requires all 5 gens to be powered so it doesn't help until, the very end.
Then there's Adrenaline which is also end game only with all 5 gens being done, Balanced Landing 1x every 60 seconds after jumping off a hill or higher. Dead Hard which only shoots you forward a short distance. Then there's Lithe which is also a short 150% movement speed bonus.
So that means your perfect situation requires the killer to be a potato and always take the widest turns since at 110 ms they'll catch that survivor. Which means that if the killer then perfectly cuts the corner like oh I don't know GOOD killers know how to do.
That'd mean that those GOOD killers can kill a survivor in a regular loop without using their power just fine and that's a FACT.
As for the last it's the usual troll response, I can't refute your arguments so I'm going to declare victory and say I ignore you. Oh and by the way you're arguments aren't wearing any clothes like their emperor.
Coming from a Huntress main, it's extremely difficult to win a chase against a survivor at 110 with no power. If I'm out of hatchets, I go reload immediately. As Spirit, I wait for my power to recharge and try to mindgame. As Hag, I try to corral them to where my traps are. As Legion, the only real way you're gonna win a chase is to cheese out of the chase by standing still (or moving away from the survivor) and looking down and/or turning around. It's a very weak power when it comes to finishing chases, meaning when you start targeting a survivor to put on a hook, your time will be wasted. -
So I'll point out a few things for the sake of arguments.powerbats said:@MhhBurgers said:

Just going to add to the conversation with a screenshot, sums up how my game went. Two people with flashlights whom are pretty good at blinding in my opinion. One Generator left by games end.

Wow, rank 15, very impressive.
Oh so now rank means something yet it doesn't mean anything unless it's to your advantage. You killer mains are hilarious since it's always well get to rank 1 before your opinion holds weight.
The person gets to rank 1 and post their 4k etc and it becomes well rank is meaningless because the pip system is bad.
So which is it then, is it rank is meaningless or that rank means something because the comments about rank 15 have also been applied to rank 1.

Now you'll probably come back with the next usual excuse which is the survivors were all potatoes probably or that Legion is still new and people are getting used to him.
It couldn't be that the killer actually played well since that'd mean that your excuses I mean arguments wouldn't be valid.
First off, I was the one who pointed out rank meant nothing, not MhhBurgers. And I should have clarified that anything after the yellow and brown ranks means nothing. It's not a knock on the lower ranks, it's just saying that not only is it easy as hell to pip, but people derank on purpose to not play against Nurses and Billies every damn time.
Second, ANY killer can 4k against survivors if they're skilled enough. The problem is there is a certain point where your skill becomes irrelevant if you play a low-tier killer. Legion absolutely falls under this category. This is from someone who also has 4k'd multiple times with every killer in the red ranks (that includes Legion).
The truth of the matter is not everyone at rank 1 plays like Jen or Zubat or the members of the Depip Squad. Rank 1 has just as many average survivors as it does amazing ones. The amazing ones find ways to abuse Legion over and over again. And even if they end up dying to him, they also end up being the only one to die while the rest get out. -
To be honest, I used to feel the dead opposite for the same reasons. However, I'd always try to play in a non-toxic manner, and I prioritized getting BBQ stacks over camping one person out.
Now, after the balance changes and the terrible bugs, I try to play killer more like the way you do, but for different reasons. My spirit is broken. I just want blood points and nothing else, so I'm fine with getting 4 BBQ stacks and just letting the survivors get whatever blood points they want. I just cannot be bothered to stress about getting a 4k in a game that doesn't take balance seriously.
I might be sounding like a pompous prick of a killer main, but I just can't care much anymore. Maybe I'm just bored with the game, but I'm not gonna lie, I didn't feel this way last patch. -
All Legion can do is rush down one survivor and tunnel the hell out of them while everyone else rushes gens. The dead opposite of how he was designed.Morfedel said:You know, is he really worse than freddy? I've had several matches now where Legion did just fine (with me playing survivor).

These kinds of responses are the ones preventing progress and change from being made. Too quick to judge or too quick to hop on the bandwagon. Too difficult of a character for you to have the patience to play? Try a different killer or better yet stick to survivor. -

idk why i wasted so much time doing this, but looking for 1 specific post from oct/nov of the guy who claimed he would "balance the game in favor of killers and make it near impossible for survivors to win and should be a blessing if they do" is in itself.. impossible. the devs on the steam forums banned/deleted posts from people left and right and atm i cant find the thread that far back sadly. -if it still exists-
btw, the proof of free 4ks is in the fact killers want hatch removed. but here you go. one about a balance someone mentioned they would do, one about the ptb hatch
The first one, while it looks like a reddit killer main user who has no idea what actual balance is like, never mentions anywhere that he wants free 4k's.
The second one is talking about hatch, and he is 100% correct on that one. The hatch is a broken mechanic. But that's a different argument. Also completely out of context and doesn't say they deserve to 4k every game, more like they deserve a 4k if they bring it down to a killer vs 1 survivor scenario.

This entire paragraph is hilarious. You keep thinking whatever, dude. It's obvious you wouldn't listen to what I have to say anyway.
because you, like many others, think you have to be in frenzy to down people and you dont. frenzy is for closing in large gaps, hitting multiple people, and locating them. when its over, the survivors will have to still mend. mending is brutal compared to PTB due to the update that happened on top of no more double fatigue. theres alot of potential for him but people like you keep acting like he SHOULD be on par with hillbilly, nurse and myers with tombstone who can 1 hit kill as healthy. that is absolute insanity.
not every single person is a pro playing survivor. legion is fine honestly and finding a playstyle is what you need. not another character who can 1 hit every single person in 30 seconds and kill them all. if you want that, might as well beg the developers for a map thats 100% chance to hooking and killing all survivors immediately and getting 60k bloodpoints while survivors loose a rank. thats essentially what killers want.
Legion is fine. Use PWYF.
How are you this bad, and somehow oblivious of it? Also, using the "YOU WANT FREE WINS" argument. Bias confirmed. I give this bait a....2/10.
considering you as well as many others want hillbilly/nurse power level characters, do you think my reason of killers wanting free wins is far fetched? [BAD WORD], ive seen people even say the survivors shouldnt even be ALLOWED TO SURVIVE and should only have such a slim chance of getting out that it would be impossible to win any matches.
so again, killers wanting free wins? VALID ARGUEMENT! survivors do what they need to survive yet the killers want so much power that they want to make it 100% chance impossible for survivors to survive. AT ALL

Yes. He's absolute trash and not fun to play as or against. His chapter came with 6 million bugs and nobody likes him. All six perks are very average at best.
This chapter is the worst ever released and it's egregious it was published in this state.
But other than Jeff, yes, this patch is terrible. -
1. Stopping his power at will still depletes the whole bar and slows you down in fatigue, ending the power prematurely isn't that good and doesn't save you much time.annonymous said:.... guys... you know you could literally stop his power at WILL right?
you also know that if you smack a survivor once with frenzy, chase them still in frenzy to stop that moment of sprint burst by the survivors, end frenzy then smack them again, you literally just downed the survivor... right?
on top of that, using fire up, play with your food, bamboozle, and noed -if you want noeds expose just run for the survivors and break from frenzy after you find them- you could literally have so much speed that even NORMAL walking or frenzying is complete insanity. Vaulting is faster, chases are faster, your walk speed increases for normal, and literally stoping loops is possible. Sprint burst? dead hard? laugh in its face. they wont matter.
want some reading auras? go for it. you got aura reading abilities to help you.
Want that terror radius? cool! add in coulrophobia.
want to smack people around like rag dolls? you can! thana is going to be helpful with this too.
seriously guys. you act like he/she needs to be a m1 kill all survivors better than hillbilly/nurse thats a P2W when all you need to do is play not only smart by NOT repeatedly hitting the same person in frenzy OVER AND OVER AGAIN but to actually play effectively.
they are not as loopable as you think they are just because your probably playing them so badly your hindering your own killer by acting like they are EVERY other character when they arnt. they are so much faster than surviors in general too. not even balance landing or lithe can match frenzy since they catch up so much
2. All the perks you named with the exception of Bamboozle suck on Legion, and NOED is the only one of those you named that's any good at all. And Bamboozle is ONLY good enough to run on Legion, no other killer.
3. Your power cannot down at base. That means you have to M1 them at 110 movement speed. That is the definition of loopable.
4. Asking for killers like Billy and Nurse does not equal pay to win, that equals wanting killers who are STRONG. Because against GOOD survivors, they are the only two killers who stand anywhere close to a chance.
And before you question my credibility, I have over 1200 hours in this game and play every killer at any rank I'm at (I always hit rank 1 eventually because pipping is too easy, so rank doesn't mean anything). You can check my Twitch or YouTube channels to confirm that. -

Legion, though, is so dependent on Frank's Mix Tape and either Third Seal + Knock Out + Thanatophobia or Ruin + M&A + Thanatophobia that it neuters any possible build combinations. I get not having exposed work with his power, that would be busted, but mending not being a healing action ruins so many possibilities. I'd rather have seen mending considered as a healing action and NOT implement the change to Deep Wounds where the bar goes down even while mending. That would have made Legion more fun. -

Legion is garbage, no matter how you think the "optimal" way to play them is.
Tunnel one Survivor, and it takes you literal minutes to down them since you move at 110% move speed and can't use your power (because frenzy hits don't down anybody).
Spread out the damage, and everyone's injured, but nobody gets downed. In fact they just ignore being injured since Legion gets first hits easily, but virtually never gets last hits.
I do want to point out with Frank's Mix Tape you can reliably use your power to end chases at a medium pace (definitely not quickly, but it's not literal minutes like trying to down without your power). But again, a killer so damn reliant on one specific add-on when survivors don't need items to stack up to most killers with most add-ons is insane, and is a poor balancing mentality.
-

No, Freddy is much better than Legion. Freddy can down people and even does crowd control better than Legion by being able to put multiple survivors to sleep at once (and with the right builds can actually have an end-game). Hell, even with the right build, Freddy isn't so bad. But Legion? I only know of one good build, and that's using Frank's Mix Tape and Cold Dirt to rush down one person, the dead opposite of what BHVR intended.
-
I've noticed with the right add-ons (Frank's Mix Tape and Cold Dirt is my personal favorite combo), Third Seal and/or Knock Out with Thanatophobia can be really dirty. My build right now thanks to my bloodweb luck is BBQ, Third Seal, Thana, and Knock Out. This build is inconsistent against good survivors, though.FayeZahara said:
Where are the fun perk combos with the legion -
After a day of playing him, I'm also noticing that Legion absolutely needs Frank's Mix Tape or he can't down anyone. And that's due to his slow speed. 115 movement speed with the removal of that add-on might be a possible balance fix? But to make a killer who is so dependent on one add-on (and a very rare one at that) is disappointing at the very least.

When you start your post by saying the most difficult killer to loop is the most loopable killer in the game, you kind of invalidate any credibility. Saying he's the most difficult killer to down survivors with would have made sense. But the most loopable killer? Obvious close minded bias is obvious. How is he not? His power doesn't down, so you have to chase without your power at 110. You won't catch any good survivor with that slow movement speed.

I think we're all jumping the gun a bit.I mean he's very different, and average at best, but lets not act like he's the very worst killer ever and trash?
I mean... think about it.
I'm still very much undecided myself. I think he falls in that mid range. Or low mid. Around Pig/Leatherface... somewhere in that.
Again... 4 hours past release... it's tough to say.
No, we're not jumping the gun. We already knew he was trash during the PTB and the devs did NONE of the changes we all wanted except for removal of double cooldown. We're reacting exactly as we should; this killer is one of the worst characters in any game I've ever played.

BBQ, Nurse's, Sloppy Butcher (or Ruin if you don't have any add-ons that help you move faster while phasewalking), and Stridor. I use this build and do pretty damn well with the Yakuyoke Amulet and Wakizashi Saya.
-
His Frenzy gives tokens to STBFL and Remember Me, it applies Third Seal, and makes survivors drop their items with Franklin's. It also causes Mangled and Hemorrhage due to Sloppy Butcher. It does NOT apply insta-down hits due to Exposed perks, however.
-
Insta-heals are definitely broken and a different problem altogether, one I don't have a solution for other than remove it tbh. But just because one side has something broken doesn't mean we should give broken stuff to another side as well. I'm fine with strong add-ons and strong items, but perks and add-ons/items that almost break the game entirely need to be redesigned (like old BNPs, the old insta-blinds, old moris, etc).

Make the blind fold add on and third seal work on box auras. Now this would be too strong. 2.5 minutes to try to find a singular box on the whole map is pretty damning for survivors when they can't see it at all. A better idea for this is making Rule Set No. 2 base.

Lmfao "piercing hatchet"

I do like the first box being guaranteed not it, though, that would be a great change
-
The thing is they don't even waste time that well unless you keep forcing them off the trap boxes, which that is done by sacrificing pressuring the other survivors working on gens. And even without the roar, her ambush attack doesn't help her out in the chase at all. I've seen and done mindgames at looping spots with it, but that requires a lot of luck and overall is just worse than Spirit's power at a looping spot.
-
I don't disagree, but it's what BHVR wanted, so idk lol.

I get they should be terrifying, but they shouldn't be borderline busted. Infinite hatchets is pretty damn terrifying.
Iridescent King and Iridescent Stone are great examples of terrifying but not broken ultra-rare add-ons. Same with Coxcombed Clapper and Bloody Coil. Ultra-rare add-ons need to be more like these.
