Is obviously the Ebony Mori. Forget about DS, forget about NOED, forget about instaheals and iridescent hatchet for a second. An ebony mori reduces the number of hooks needed by 2. And the number of chases needed by 4 out of 12, that's the equivalent of a guaranteed hatch without taking into account things like new DS and the snowball effect it has.
If anything in this game needs a nerf then it's that. It makes even the worst killers go straight to being almost OP
u know what this game needs? gen rush repair. longer gen repair time for at least 15s or 2nd objective.

So...While in a different post I've come to realize something. The developers really only know how to band-aid current things. When was the last time something was truly fixed? Pallets? That was what...6 months ago? How long did it take for them to even CONSIDER removing pallets? Why does it seems like the devs are getting more and more incompetent at fixing their own game? Why do they refuse to listen to the the people that make sure their game is staying alive this long? I get that half our ideas are simply #########. I get it. However there have been numerous people who have not only came up with genuine solutions to problems ALL of us see, yet ignored all together by the devs. Why do we continue to mindlessly support them by buying these skins and dlcs that we know won't actually be putting money into fixing the game or even better it. It just seems it goes right back into the cosmetic department so they can push out even more skins for the mindless sheep to buy. I'm pretty positive that if there were another asymmetrical horror game that looked as good as this, it would be doing a lot better than DBD. Streamers are finding it harder and harder to play this game. Players on both the forums and reddit are tired of the shennanigans. I used to be able to play this game for about 3-4 hours straight on my days off. Now, I can barely handle more than 2-3 matches before I get tired of the bug fest and ######### "optimized" game play. I've tried taking a break and coming back. I've tried to play civ 6 and come back. I just want the band-aids ripped the [BAD WORD] off and this game actually fixed. No more perks to counter perks. No more Killers to counter a specific game play. No more cosmetics. Actual fixes to the game. Will it happen? Probably not. Does this mean I won't ever play again? I'll still play my 2-3 matches then switch to something that has decent game play and re-play value. I don't want this game to die. It's been great to me for the year and half I've had it and enjoyed it. I just want the devs to seriously get their heads out their asses and do something for us. The people that love this game and want to enjoy it. The people who give them their paychecks.I agree with you, they are closing their eyes on the real ######### problem that is gen rush. They won't do longer gen times, since it wouldn't be balanced? balanced for who? good survivors who get out of the game in 5mins? Cuz that's fun for killer yea. I am just like you in dbd for 2-3 games and then log off since it's frustrating to get gen rushed every single game. I've been playing more survivor and i put No mither perk in my build and guess what, i escape majority of my games at ######### rank 1. how is that balanced that i with 1 single health state can run killer for 3-5 gens? will devs fix it? i have 0 confidence in them from legion release on. Legion is the perfect example of their "fun" view of the game, which is totally wrong and idk if devs and survivors realize because it doesn't seem that way, that if there is NO killers the games won't happen and dbd will die. how can survivors be the power role? if killer has an epic start, gets 5-6 hooks, how can survivors even return from that? that should be impossible ffs. they did bad buz because gen timer is riddicilus they can just gen rush you even tho they had horrible start to the game. #########!

The new DS change and nerf is cool and I can 100% see where the devs are coming from. I play killer more than survivor but I fear that this perk would be useless against the higher ranks. (red/purple/maybe green). If i get downed as soon as I get unhooked, theres a high chance I would be dribbled back to the hook. If i get downed I could easily just be slugged until the perk
deactiviates.Idk if they said enduring wouldnt work with it now, but if they didnt then it shouldnt. The stun would only last about .75 seconds which would actually make this perk useless unless you have survivors to take hits for you.
I really dont know what else they could do to fix problems like these. Against skilled killers this perk is almost like “hey remember when you kept getting slugged and didnt enjoy it? Well this perk slugs you for a minute!”
Either increasing the timer or making it so you get freed if the killer hits “drop” but DS is consumed. Its like thinking of buffs for The Legion as I feel like this wouldnt help anything. Many people are happy about this change and to you guys I hope you enjoy it and im glad DS finally got changed, I just wish they put a little more thought into it.
pp
i think perk should be active until you are fully healed (if killer hits you and downs you).

The new DS have no counter play , yes you can have a Mori or camp them to death but only that. The new DS give no clue if the survivors have DS , you can't dripping them ( it instantly) and the skill check is bigger just why ?
One better way to do it will be keep the new DS but the timer will be 10/20/30 at best the killer can dripping them and for me personally only the first survivor can use the DS all the other survivors will lose it for the rest of the game. But rly now devs how you make it worst what will be next NOED that give you 1% speed for every gen done, no exposed effect and you can lose it from the start of the gamecan u be even more ignorant and bad? jesus, just don't tunnel. it's ######### awesome that survivors finally get anti tunnel perk ffs! i think stun should be 4 or even 5s cuz ######### tunneling killers! Btw i play mostly killer and i like to punish bad save, but i go for the unhooker instead cuz it's his fault!

Is it just me or does it seem like there's been an increase in killers that take the "Slugging" approach to the game?
You know; doing an "All-Seeing" build and then just downing all the survivors as quickly as possible without hooking them until they're all down and unable to help each other.
I don't really get this. Nobody really gets anything out of it now that it's post-event time. The Bloodpoints are negligible at best.
It just feels like a waste of time and offerings/items.there are more sluggers. new hook distribution system plus the biggest problem of them all that is gen rush. those are the main 2 reasons killers slug

Would it require items? Let us know
Gid
it would be so the survivors need to find gas to start working on a gen. a 2nd ######### objective that would prevent gen rush. will this ever happen? i wish i could be confident but i'm not so i'm slowly but surly going away from DBD, even tho i loved this game, but the last even showed the real problem that is gen rush and ofc nothing is gonna get done about it. maybe a new perk which is stupid!

I remember someone saying that if you run ruin you aren't a good killer, now, this did come from someone who mains survivor so i would take this with a grain of salt. But feel free to comment down below what you think. In my opinion i don't think anyone is a bad killer if they ruin, considering that gens can be done a little too fast, i can see why most people run it, i only run it on spirit simply because i would like some time to be able to find people, but i will say that on certain killers like Billy should not need ruin, considering he does have an excessive amount of map pressure.
LUL. survivor mains hate ruin (baby survivor mains) cuz they cannot finish all gens in 4-7 mins. I dunno when devs will ######### face the problem that is gen rush but it's getting annoying af! i'm on the brink of deleting dbd cuz almoust every game is just gen rush 5min game. it's stupid. if you want this gen times survivors should die on the 2nd hook, windows can be vaulted only 2 times whilst in chase before entity blocks it etc.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
There are probably some of you who would play more matches as a killer if it weren't for certain things...
I'd like to know what would need to change so that you guys would play killer more often.
That could be more bloodpoints, a rework of a specific perk/item/add-on...
Please share your thoughts with us!
1st of all gen rush. this event has proven that gen rush is now more of a problem than at any time before and making gen timer for 20s longer is necesary! devs must balance the game on rank 1 not on rank 20! rank 20 is new to the game ofc they will suffer and will need experience to be better ffs!
2nd of all, there's too many safe pallets and too many L into T wall windows. if you make it so survivors can vault 2 times before the window gets blocked by the entity that's perfect, 3 times is too much.
3rd of all DS, insta heals, toolboxes, SB... too many 2nd chance perks and add ons which make your game miserable. chasing one survivor for a min or 2 then he uses ds and there goes another 2-3 mins which mins 4-5 gens are done. Devs need to put longer gen time at least on ptb so we can give feedback (not baby survivor mains who need 17 2nd chances to escape, but real good dbd players) on it. I think that would solve a lot of problems and games would not be so frustrating, that when u get 1 hook 3 gens pop. it's stupid!
(and for all of you who say that there are like 48% of the games where killer gets at least 2 kills, that's because of noed and survivors being too alturistic when exit gates are opened. they just cannot let 1 survivor die, they rather give 2k or even 3k to a killer instead of him only having 1k. -
@The_Crusader said:

use your ears and eyes. They really help, yea i know you don't believe me but open your eyes and listen more carefully. if you get hit in first 10s of the game by billy chainsaw (or if you get hit next to a gen you're working on) that's 100% on you, not that billy is that good, you are that bad.

Well, there is the overcharge perk. Does pretty much what you just said except it doesn't keep regressing after failing it.yea but if it would be like i said, overcharge would just make skillchack more difficult and it would eventually regress the gen even more plus gen would still be in regression since skillcheck was missed. i think 10% for normal missed skillcheck when gen was kicked is fair amount since the gen continues to regress if skillcheck is missed. it could even give survivor small hindered when skillcheck is on the screen so it would be even riskier going for this plays. rn tapping regressing gen means 0 risk but high reward since gen stays at the % it's at and will be fixed really fast when other survivor comes to it.

Event is quite good, but killers should see the vessels, cuz before you can find one usually the survivor is already unhooked and you lose like 20s or more in game which is 1/4 of a gen. I'm not playing killer this event cuz it sucks. the idea is right but don't feel this event. As a survivor i get way more points way more often cuz i played 2 killer games and if i got 25 points i was happy. they need to buff killer's points or they will have to listen to survivors crying about long q times.
-
@ShyN3ko said:

Survivor side:
4 survivors must do 5 gens and every survivor must escape with 1 Lunar Vessels.(4 Lunar Vessels) Get 45 points.
Killer side:
All players must use the event offering. No player must DC or suicide on the hook. Hook 12 times the survivors. Destroy 7 Lunar Vessels. Get 45 points.
Dude do you realise that you just need to be alive when the survivor with a vessel leaves to get 45 points? you don't even have to escape to get that 25 points bonus. so yea it's really "perfectly balanced" event. 2 or 3 survivors get 45 points per game whilst if killer wants 45points all players must have the lunar offering, every survivor needs to be hooked 3 times and killer needs to destroy all 7 lanterns. it's impossible to get 45 points as a killer but on the other hand it's ez to get 45 points as a survivor. they need to buff killer points or there will be no killers playing this ######### event during these 2 weeks.

In that event, survivors just got the flowers and DIDNT DO GENS! JUST DIED ON PURPOSE TO GET MORE FLOWERS! In this event, YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO DO THE EVENT. Just DO THE GENS and get points?? So how is this event worse?? You just play regular...and get extra cosmetics... if you want, you get to glow and get extra progression to the cosmetics..by doing what you should be trying to do anyway: escaping. As killer, you get points for doing what you should be doing anyway...hooking people...and if you want, you can also smash some things...in my opinion, this is the best event I've experienced. In the summer event, you had to complete specific generators, which were checked more often, which sucked. In this event, it encourages proper gameplay and allows dedicated players to complete an extra objective that doesn't take away from normal gameplay except for the few seconds it takes to grab a lantern or smash a lanternyea this event is ######### awesome. i like 5-7min games. this event just put gen rush to another level. there's no helping among survivors there's just gen rush and bye. And not to mention how shafted killers got. it's impossible to get 45 points as a killer but as a survivor mostly 2 or 3 survivors get 45 points almoust every game. I would say i'm surprised how they ######### killers but i'm really not cuz it's in BHVR's dna to ######### the killers. I'm not a huge fan of this event.
doing 5 gens gives u 20 points not 10

Oh, you get 4 pts per gen? my bad, 20 then... but point still applies in regards to escape with one lantern = better then fixing all gens.

even if you do 0 gens and ur team mates do 2-5 you still get those gen points

why will u get matched with the sweatiest killers and why q times are really really long? cuz this even is terrible for killers and noone wants to play killer. [EDIT]: This is an edited version of the previous main post. This version will clarify some things since the previous post did not.[Information about the perk]: For those of you who may not know, "Hex: No One Escapes Death" Is a perk that activates only when all generators are activated and the exit gates are turned on.
The perk itself is acceptable on some killers that actually need it I.E. The Clown, Freddy, Trapper, etc who cannot apply map pressure themselves alone. These killers are in my opinion in need of an end game boost to even things out if the killer was doing poorly at the start and mid match. And as for actual new players this in my eyes is OK, since they just started so of course they won't be good at chases at the start. The perk itself should just be used as a learning tool rather than a crutch that most killers use to this day with 500 hours+
This post will focus on some key aspects that I believe is NOT OK. For example, if you're able to 4k a team easily before the gens are even finished why do you need NOED? You have to ask yourself "Why would a Hillbilly for example need NOED if he killed the entire team before the last gen was finished?" To rub salt in the wound, even if the killer is doing decent with 2 kills and the last gen pops its unnecessary for them to have NOED since its just overkill at that point.
[Information about my solo matches]: This part is added to clarify something to everyone on this thread. I do think ahead on NOED on every killer i'm against, the problem is most teams you are with DON'T. And as such won't help with the process of getting rid of the dull totems and instead just focus on the classic meme of "Hold down M1 to win" which doesn't help me or anyone else that deals with NOED before it is activated.
The problem with solo survivor teams is that nobody is thinking for the team, and instead themselves. Most people on a solo team won't even consider the possibility of NOED since they're too focused on doing gens and saves. And THIS is my main issue with NOED.
Now why is NOED for noobs? Allow me to clear the title up, the perk itself it useful on a variety of killers that need it [Which are listed above] but what i'm ranting about are killers that clearly don't need it, and never will need it... But still use it despite that fact. You're of course entitled to whatever perk set up you use of course, but if you don't need the perk for killers that never will need it... then you're just being unfair and in-general playing like a noob.
[TL;DR]: NOED requires next to no skill to use, and most killers that don't need it will still use it to just spite any survivor they come across in the end. Killers actually believe they're good because of this, and it just breeds more toxicity in this community than we already have.
just cleanse totems. NOED countered. 14s for 1 totem to be done and ppl still complain about NOED? hahaha you're kidding me. don't be a gen geek and do 2 or 3 totems and NOED will not spawn. WOW i know someting new. a new tactics to counter NOED. ######### me i hear it 1st time rn too. Don't be a little cry baby. DS, SB, Toolboxes and insta heals are okay, but NOED, well NOED is for noobs right? hahaha get a life

don't have 3 or 4 toolboxes, cuz killers will dodge that lobby since gens get done way too quick without toolboxes, so when a killer sees 2-4 toolboxes ofc he will either get franklins or dodge. i rather dodge than have 1 perk slot removed cuz of franklins
-
They should put hatch closing in the game so it's 1st come 1st serve. Dunno why they got scared of pesky survivor mains crying about hatch closing. Until there is a different end game give us hatch closing. (or put it so hatch is opened for 2,5 mins and then closes automatically) that would prevent "hatch standoffs" (it's just killer will hit me or dc, i won't jump in before that) and the hatch opens when another gen is done. That would be fair. it just respawns on different part of the map (not 20m around the done gen).
-
dude 360s don't work against a good killers, if you went from rank 15 to rank 5 i understand why you are frustrated cuz in rank 15 even i can 360 new killer for the whole game.

I know it's been discussed to death but coz of that the devs have to revisit the hatch.
I had to message the killer and simply say "why?"well the hatch is not getting changed or balanced, since devs are working on a complete different end game, even tho till then, the hatch closing mechanic would be much needed

They’re trying to give survivors other objectives without making the game less fun. Examples are Totems, Chests, Jigsaw Traps, Mending, Sloppy, etc. it takes a lot of time and care to make sure that the game stays fun and continues moving forward.but totems are not necesary to be done. and usually survivors don't do them, unless it's hex totem. Chests take 14s i think to search and survivors actually search them if they see it otherwise not. they are not running around looking for a chest. jigsaw traps are only on pig who finally got a buff
Yaay XDD, mending doesn't take long and it's not shown on nurse's calling, sloppy? what about sloppy? it slows down heals but that's why 2 or 3 survivors go into the game with medkit. Survivors have toolboxes to get gens done even faster, they have medkit to heal faster, they have key to open the hatch, flashlight to blind the killer and waste more of his time, killer only has Ruin which is broken almoust instantly when coming into a game. Gen times need to be increased so killers don't feel like they can do nothing about gens. Lightbringer is 100% controled by survivors. not by killer. it's actually very stupid. Gen times should be 100-110s 120s might be too much, but that's why the ptb is for, to test ######### like that out and see if majority of players like it -

Great skill checks give 2% to repair progres wich ecuals 1.6 seconds if you have default repair speedobout 110 - 120 seconds repair time... then gens would be impossible. killer would just not care obout gens and be able to camp camp and camp, and still be sure that 3 gens will not pop up, but maybe 1 or 2. then onother survivor camp - 1 gen done. and from that moment you can even not care obout gens completly.
if 110s gen time is done, then teamwork will actually be important cuz you'd do a gen in 55s that's less then it takes for 1 hook stage. so if someone works on a gen alone and 2 are working on another gen 3 gens can get done if 1 survivor is camped. And before killer catches the survivor at least 1 gen can be done too. It would not be impossible to complete gens, games would get lil bit longer which is what this game needs imo. it's not fun that 4 gens are done when killer hooks 1st survivor. Survivors have a lot of loops and pallets to waste killers time so that's how i think longe gen time would not make killer to forget about them.

Well, is there a way i play against you? Because in my game, ruin is in every game, and in about 20% its found when either 3 gens are already done or 2 surviors are dead. It gets brocken 1 minute after gamestart, which i would see about 10-15% of my time as survivor. The other 65% its not found by game start, but if people start looking for it, it dies after about 3 minutes into the game, and some games the survivors dont care about it at all.So i wonder, where do you get your numbers from? Is it just bad luck?
Or why differ your numbers that highly from mine?i guess it's just bad luck for me then, since i get ruin actually into the mid game in 1/10 instances. it gets RUINed in 1st 2mins in 9/10 games

In the patch notes they said they improved the hex spawning a bit and are still continuously improving themyea and i guarantee you there will still be survivors spawning looking at the totem in 75% of the games. Totems will always be near gens which is #########.

Don't use hex totems then. They're pure luck either way, you know that right? If you run Hex: Ruin, you're banking on survivors NOT spawning next to it, the totem being in a good spot, AND the survivors ability (or disability) to hit great skill checks. Just run something else. Sloppy butcher, STBFL, knockout, nurse's BBQ, pop goes the weasel, overcharge, etc. Don't complain that something sucks if it's based on RNG, because that's the risk you''re running.then what's the point of even having hex perks in game if the are all useless? 1st of all, survivors should NEVER spawn next to the totem. ANY totem. 2nd of all, totems should not be next to gens, that's just stoopid thing in dbd, and ruin is the ONLY perk that can at least slow down the game by a little bit. Unless they put longer gen repair time, ruin is the only solution to have longer games than 5mins
