Hex perks

Don't freaking do another hex perk until you fix totems and totem placements! Those perks are USELESS since survivors ######### spawn next to the hex totem in 79% of the games. it's soooooooooooo stupid.

  • We are telling this to the devs since the release of hag. They don't want to listen, they keep band-aid fixing with stuff like Haunted grounds instead of fixing the core issues of hex totems

    this I can agree on

  • When they first released Gideon Meat Plant, I thought that they learned, that they improved their placement skill.

But then, after that, we got Father Campbell's Chapel...
And now we got Ormond, that has a stupid lighthouse totem.

  • Sometimes it works out OK and no-one finds it!

  • Don't use hex totems then. They're pure luck either way, you know that right? If you run Hex: Ruin, you're banking on survivors NOT spawning next to it, the totem being in a good spot, AND the survivors ability (or disability) to hit great skill checks. Just run something else. Sloppy butcher, STBFL, knockout, nurse's BBQ, pop goes the weasel, overcharge, etc. Don't complain that something sucks if it's based on RNG, because that's the risk you''re running.

  • They should just have it so that the survivor cleanses themselves not the totem.

i.e. it still effects all the others until they cleanse themselves too.

then what's the point of even having hex perks in game if the are all useless? 1st of all, survivors should NEVER spawn next to the totem. ANY totem. 2nd of all, totems should not be next to gens, that's just stoopid thing in dbd, and ruin is the ONLY perk that can at least slow down the game by a little bit. Unless they put longer gen repair time, ruin is the only solution to have longer games than 5mins

  • In the patch notes they said they improved the hex spawning a bit and are still continuously improving them

yea and i guarantee you there will still be survivors spawning looking at the totem in 75% of the games. Totems will always be near gens which is #########.

  • Well, is there a way i play against you? Because in my game, ruin is in every game, and in about 20% its found when either 3 gens are already done or 2 surviors are dead. It gets brocken 1 minute after gamestart, which i would see about 10-15% of my time as survivor. The other 65% its not found by game start, but if people start looking for it, it dies after about 3 minutes into the game, and some games the survivors dont care about it at all.

So i wonder, where do you get your numbers from? Is it just bad luck?
Or why differ your numbers that highly from mine?

i guess it's just bad luck for me then, since i get ruin actually into the mid game in 1/10 instances. it gets RUINed in 1st 2mins in 9/10 games

  • Actually it has a counter, it calls Thrill of the Hunt. If you want your totem to be safe then run it!

Go ahead and use ToTH together with 3 other hex perks.
Tell me about your experience once you recovered from the heart attack.
