Just had one of the best survivor matches so far

So i'm facing a sweaty infinite tier 3 myers with ruin and an ebony mori. I was playing solo, they got the ruin quite quickly. He downed someone, then another guy and then he downed me. Only 1 gen was done once he had his infinite instadowns so i thought we were fcked. But i started to play really immersed and we got some gens done, last gen and he got someone with DS. He got off and lost the myers after a short chase, by that time i popped the last gen and the exit gates could open, this was shelter woods and the gates were quite close to each other. Then the killer saw me and immediately started chasing me, i figured if i run away from the doors he will stop chasing me, but no, the killer figured he could mori me and he would have at least 1 kill. I used my Lithe and flew away into the sunset, he lost me so he went to the exit gate. 2 people just got it open on time and just got out. Now my challenge was to reach the opened gate if he left, but then he walked a couple of steps away from the door, and D/C'ed. Ending of the match was so nervewrecking for me so that D/C really made my day.

Please don't play with sweaty builds like that. It's just no fun for anyone, i'm very happy that we completely turned the odds around and escaped.

Everyone is allowed to play with any kind of build. They are all intended features.

I'm not saying you're not allowed to play like that. I'm just saying that it's no fun. Nobody gets bp, survivors don't even get a chance.
Only props i have for this killer is that he didn't camp.
  • Some of those survivor builds look pretty "sweaty" to me but I guess that's okay? Also I really don't understand this term. Apparently it's somehow bad for the killer to try to get kills/win?

Pfffft. The Survivor builds are WAAAAY more sweaty than the Myers' build. Thanks for the laugh though.

1 guy had DS, i never use DS but that's indeed a stupidly sweaty perk.
The rest are only important perks because 90% of the other survivor perks are #########.
Is Urban Evasion or Self Care sweaty?

I just think it's no fun to use OP add ons and an ebony mori at the same time. It's just a ######### game, we had to gen rush like crazy and after 1 hook you should be out of the picture, never to be seen again otherwise you get instadowned and mori'd so working on gens is way too risky to do, but you have to otherwise other people don't survive.
Look at our bp, it's almost nothing because some douche decided to use a sweaty build. It's only fun now because he failed miserably and got completely demolished, so he had no fun at all and D/C'ed. That's what it feels like when you get instadowned and mori'd after just a cpuple of minutes into the game ( if it was a good killer ).

Urban immersion is sweaty especially on P3 claudette, plus sprint burst, the most sweaty and annoying exhaustion perk in the game

You say dont run sweaty builds, and yet I see a full item loadout on the survivor side and DS

The killer is supposed to play with the survivors, not threaten to kill them. But dont go afk, they dont like it when the killer isnt trying either

Damn, are killers bitching about Urban Evasion too nowadays? That's just sad. If there were instaheals or brand new parts and many decisives then ok that's sweaty. Urban Evasion doesn't make you invisible you know, you still make sound and maintain visible. And sprint burst is indeed annoying but it is used at the beginning of the chase and after that there is nothing to help them in a chase, i prefer Lithe which gives the same amount of speed boost for the same duration only i can choose when i activate it.

Lmao a brown medkit, a yellow flashlight with brown addons and a yellow toolbox with a brown addon. Yeah very threatening. Only my green toolbox with yellow addons gives me a good advantage. And yes there is 1 DS but that shouldn't be a problem with this built. And as i said earlier, i don't use DS and i think it's indeed sweaty.
  • Truthfully, I would like to play against a killer like the one you fought. I don't see many Myers, especially those who have infinite evil within three, so it would be a pleasant change of pace.

From what you say, the killer didn't camp anyone, and everyone had the chance to escape so I would call it a good game. The killer likely saw the one flashlight, two toolboxes, and one med-kit in the lobby and prepared accordingly thinking that you would be a hard group to face. It does seem he was correct as you all did work well together.

I rather die to a good killer who knows what he's doing so i can actually learn something on how to be better in the game. I don't like playing against fools with builds like this, because they don't deserve the kill but they got it just because of some stupid OP build. This is a build with ill intend and it takes the fun out of the game.

Killers complain about looping and now they complain about stealth.

So even Urban Evasion is a taboo perk now?

You guys really just want us to just stand on top of the hill and run around in circles next to the hook, don't you?

It is only fun when you demolish some sweaty dude. If the killer was half decent or if the ruin took longer to break then we wouldn't escape at least 9/10 times. That's no fun, short games with mori's.
  • You have to see the irony of making a post about having such a great game and then immediately asking killers never to do the same thing. It's not every game you'll run into a killer running an iridescent add on and an ebony mori. It made the game memorable and interesting. Which is exactly want ultra rare stuff is supposed to do.

My point is, that i can still have fun, even if i lose or get killed. But dying to a build like this is never ever fun and you gain nothing out of the match. The fun for me are the chases and mindgames, the strategic thinking. Which is instantly gone once you have an instadown killer with abnormal lunge amd an ebony mori. Then he also feels the need to bring Ruin and thanatophobia as if we don't have enough on our plate already ( i don't mind ruin or thanatophobia, but in a build like this i do ). This was clearly with ill intend and not an everyday build.
  • The only special thing here is that someone actually managed to get a total of 6833 points AFTER escaping.

I've never seen anything THIS low after an escape.

Like i said, i played solo.
There was 1 immersed Claudette, but not immersed in a good way. More like a "i hear 1 heartbeat so i will just hide" kinda way. She rescued me from the hook ( i know, what a brave soul, isn't she? ) she crouched all the way to me and took her sweet time while the killer was after someone else.

Edit : i think it was the other Claudette who saved me, because it was a safe hook rescue. So she should have at least 7000 points with the escape included.
Damn, i have no idea what she did, maybe she only did gens and hid the rest of the game when her Spine Chill popped.

Players like those are the reason why I can't use any aura reading perks as Survivor. ######### like that triggers me more than anything lol

  • If it wasn't meant to be used it wouldn't be in the game

...says the guy with the usual strong survivor build. Don't forget the toolbox!

Every player is allowed to take whatever they want, but oh the irony...

  • Looking at the survivor load out I see tool boxes, flashlights, DS, urban, self care, we'll make it, sprint burst, iron will etc.

Seems a bit hypocritical to me to criticize the killer for coming in with a strong build when the survivors are.

Lol the flashlight wasn't even used. I can do max 1.5 gen with that toolbox, it saves maybe 15 seconds total. I get that our builds are strong, but it's not OP.
Survivors need 1 exhaustion perk, no matter what kind, it just helps during the chase, i like iron will too. Self care is needed when you play solo, also healing time has been nerfed so i'm out of the game for quite some time.
I'm not against strong builds, i'm against OP builds. If we had insta heals and BNP i would've agreed with you, but our items shouldn't have won us the game. And the perks are not sweaty or OP,  just necessary because the rest of the perks are useless. Only perk which is bullshit is DS, you can't say that Urban Evasion and self care are sweaty, they are just good and balanced perks.
  • TBH, that survivor loadout isn't sweaty at all. I'd gladly take that over the stuff I get in EU Rank 1. Someone didn't even use an Exhaustion perk, not a single Adrenaline used and only one DS.

As a more ironical note; That killer used a very strong loadout and still didn't manage to kill any of the Survivors that only used regular loadouts? A clear result of the games imbalance!

  • Don't get me wrong, urban evasion was one lf my favorite perk ideas when it was released. It needed one of two buffs, either working while injured, or being much more powerful. Unfortunately they did buff so yeah, I think it is kinda sweaty. Especially when its a bunch of people running Claudettes sweaty clothes. No wonder he kept losing people.

I'm playing a Meg with a tennis skirt, a small top and a headband. Much skin is showed and Meg's skin is very bright. The killer just wasn't that good, there was 1 Nea with simple clothes. 1 Claudette with pink shirt and 1 P3 Claudette. So the P3 Claudette probably was hard to follow. But also remember this was Shelter Woods. A very open map.

@PiiFree this is more an example of the bad ranking system because the killer was way too bad for this rank instead of the imbalance of the game. Unless that was what you meant by imbalance.
