Not going to lie, there was an innocent part of me that HOPED the Summer event wasn't going to be another Lunar Event.BOY WAS THAT A STUPID THOUGHT.
First match of the game, instant swap to flashlights by the survivors. Next match, multiple body blocks. Next match, I let the survivors work on the generators. Thought all was going to be good. Next thing I know they all run out the exit with me having four hooks remaining to be used and the survivors calling me a moron for letting them do crap.
SO! A message to the Survivor world out there. If it's OBVIOUS the killer is being polite. The killer is LETTING YOU DO THE GOD DAMN SUMMER GENERATORS. Please be a dear and help your friendly neighborhood sociopath out by letting them impale you a couple times.
Is that so much to ask?
They saboed my hooks in the 2nd game already....
My advice is to camp the cocktail gens with hag traps or insidious, kinda funny -

Slow vaults while sprinting shouldn't be a thing, a slow vault should be voluntary, not while you're sprinting and trying to get away and at that crucial moment, you slow vault through a window getting you downed leading me to my next point. While going through a window if you've already touched the ground the killer's attack should divert to the window instead of you counting as a miss. Why should a survivor be able to jump through a window, but when the killer lunges through it there should be a magical wall protecting you? Sounds pretty much like entitlement.
There are 3 modes of vaulting btw.

You're joking, but it actually is.
If there was no looping, chases would end pretty immediately most of the time. There's not very many features that encourage hiding. The red strikes are incredibly easy to follow, so if you're not running perks to make them vanish then evading a killer in chase is near impossible given the large speed differential.
I'm not saying looping is fun for everyone, but it's not like it's a bug or exploit anyone is using to break the game. It's just literally the only mechanic that was working in for the survivor side of chases.
Somehow survivors managed to escape the killer before looping was a thing too. I still remember the good old days where you actually juked the killer, by juking I dont mean 360 hitbox exploiting, no I am talking about using line of sight
Red scratch marks are not as easy to follow as you might think and there are several perks for that btw.
Personally, I prefered the old non-looping days a lot more compared to the mess we have now. No, its no fun runing in circles in my opinion, even as survivor not
-
How did you notice that?
Survivors are still able to loop as before and huntress axes still have the same hitboxes as before. I havent noticed anything -
Bamboozle is mandatory on all killers except nurse because map design is broken
-
Maybe its better that severs are down. Didnt pull any hair out, still in a relaxed mood, no life threats....

Im stil not geting in.. have tried for like 20 min now.. It's so Unfair when other ppl can play and some other can not play. I hope devs make this event more time.
I hate when im not can play i game i like.Me too, but maybe its better that way. A few hours ago when I tried first time I immediately faced a squad sabotaging my special hooks....

I just wonder how you connected to the servers

It wasnt game changing at all.

Can you please do something about the clowns movement speed or limit him to throwing tonics its really annoying trying to get away and he can still keep up with you without tonics and if he throws one at you its like a guarantee hit or down for him.Clown is so weak, nobody already plays him anymore. Do you want to nerf him even further? Like a freddy 2.0?
Guess you only wanna play vs nurse, sometimes I rlly wonder.....

Kilrane said:Yes, that's what camping is. Counter plays are answers to win a situation. If a Killer camps one Survivor the entire hook time that is your opportunity to do gens uninterrupted. This game's name is "Dead by Daylight" not "Everyone Live in the End". Sometimes sacrificing a team member is the proper play.
So how would you feel if every game or almost all the time you get camped how would you feel to keep de piping because you dont get enough points and dont say oh you just have to get good because you cant if you keep getting chased at the beggining and you cant be stealthy because that rarely works
If you are the guy who gets found first every game, then its your fault I dare to say. Analyze your situation and think about what you can do better. Maybe dont run straight at the kilelr clicking at his face, just a tip

-
My queue time is infinite because I cant connect to servers

What I meant is when I look in the comments of videos for DBD I see all this talk about acronym stuff that I don't really get. I also don't get why some things are seen has broken. Things like DH or DS stuff like that. There waas a killer one that some survivor players called broken it was like Unyielding strength I think? Why is that broken? In the beginning it seems like killer is OP. Once survivors gain enough experience, some killers are so weak that survivors can literally bully them. Thats what most players refer to when talking about broken balance etc.

But you better dont close it..... -

I don't like the delay in pulling them down. Not sure if it is a frame rate issue or what. They also said if you were in the middle of the pallet it wouldn't come down. They showed it in the stream but they still can come down. Again not sure if it is frame rate related.Well if you are in the middle of the pallet, throwing it down would made it fall on you. Thats why its not possible to drop it in the middle (at least for me)
-
Cant even get into the menu
Pretty good job so far
-
Why am I not surprised
-
Sadly devs don't even manage to get the easiest things done.qpwoeiruty said:Ive seen a few people say that computer bots playing as survivor would be terrible... is that really true?
Like I think it would be super easy to create bots that would dominate without even putting that much logic in it...
If being chased... loop nearest pallet, if not work generator... drop pallet if killer gets close..
I think the killer would get wrecked every match
If you wanna have a preview for Dbd Ai, take a look at the tutorial
But I think we will soon need a killer ai such that survivors can still play the game they are forming right now -
YikesVisionmaker said:ZombieGenesis said:Say the douchebags who came to a thread they could have perfectly well ignored to troll and harass the OP. Just like you do in game, I'm sure. Congrats, you are what's wrong with this game.
If you have a problem with people voicing their opinions, then maybe you shouldn't be posting on a public forum, js.Users aren't required to sit quietly while the forum is littered with whiny rants. -
Now you roughly understand how a killer feels
-
Devs are too lazy to rework maps, that's why we still got supers age loops and bandaid bloodlust
-
There is a bug displaying a depip even though you didn't depip, just fyi
-
I would say it's slightly easier to double pip as killer than as survivor but it's tremendously easier to pip as survivor than as killer

I just quote you, but if thats toxic... fine
I can drop pallets just fine but I have a glasfibre connection and dodge high ping russians.... -

Maybe a way to deny someone who's about to farm you from the hook the ability to pull you off in front of the killer. Makes me want a do the whole Jay and silent Bob thing and show up at their door....Will most likely end in the situation where the hooked survivors trolls and doesnt let other unhook him because he wanna give the BP to his friend etc etc

Killers are supposed to kill, not be nice. The Entity would be displeased. But It's a way to playing and will increase entertaining.
Do you realize that you purchased a horrorgame? I know its not that obvious because its not scary at all and killers are kinda weak, but still.... its horror genre

@27214 said:
If the killer wants a survivor escaping from opened hatch, the killer can carry the survivor to a certain range which is near the hatch. In this case, the killer will have an action of kicking, which allows the killer to kick the survivor into the hatch.
Then the killer will get Kindness Scores and the survivor will also get some scores which are lower than Hatch Escape Scores.Do you want the entity to fire the poor killer for not doing his job?

Survivors have power in numbers, Killers in turn need power in other ways.
This counts for the lobby as well: While the Killer can see them, the Survivors can talk during the lobby, make a plan, tell eachother what to bring to sync them better with your Perks or Item etc.All the solo survivors I play with are afk in lobby, no chance to communicate with them
But then there are SWF, they can easily communicate all the time and can completely counter whole killer strategies -
The hatch appears on the hud when its open and it only opens when you are the last remaining survivor

I’d love if at the start of a round the map was dark, like the new moon bouquet, but as more gens were done, the map would get brighter. This would help slow things down perhaps for survivors at the start of the match as they can’t see across the map anymore, and would help the killer early game. It would also be aesthetically pleasing and very thematic, also adding the ‘dead by daylight’ idea, which is the name of the game. At the start of the match, the killers vision would be brighter then the survivors, and would help him track early game. I also think shadowborn should additionally give the killer a slightly brighter field of view, but that’s another story.
@Peanits I like your opinions and views on things. What do you think of this? And everyone else can share their opinions, i’d REALLY love to see this implemented!Devs said that they removed offering like moon bouquet from the game becuase they were to lazy taking into account all the different light lvls when designing a map.

Their excuse was because "it doesn't feel good to survivors". So there you have it, the battle cry of BHVR "it doesn't feel good to survivors" so nerf it. That's how this game has been for 2+ years and it is apparently not going to change.Emergency killer nerfing due to the survivor backlash from that minor exhaustion nerf. Survivors know that review bombing makes the developers go down on their knees, begging for those positive reviews back.
Killers might not be able to review bomb because they are the minority, but they have the power to not play the game or switch to survivor. Call it a strike or not, I call it following cotes advice

@Master Stop trying to insult me. I play both killer and survivor. I said pallets are intended for a second or two restbite from the killer not that looping is/isn't safe. Looping isn't safe if it's a bad loop. Generally a good looper avoids hits. Pallets are a mechanic vital to survival. So you agree that a good looper avoids hits. Guess its a git gud issue then, glad we agree here

Where is our option to NOT play vs this cheating toxic groups ?
Im sick of it to get outplayed by voicecomcheating !DBD was NEVER balanced and designed for SWF !!!
Devs are about to lift up solo survivors to SWF lvl and by doing that they even bfuf SWF a little more.
Cote suggested to paly survivor or play another game if you cant stand playing killer anymore.
Follow his advice when chapter 9 hits, thats not called a strike, its just following the devs advice -
RNG is rlly bad for such a thing.
Imagine leveling up 100 lvls just to get a trash skin for a few shards..... -

Most likely the event will come with some fixes.. tinkerer will probably be fixed along with some other minor changes... hopefully they dont go to crazy and break the game like they did during the howling grounds... I still have flashbacks... the game was so broken and then the killers were deaf too survivors for like 4-6 monthsofc tinkerer 2will be fixed fast. Its an issue affecting survivors and not a killer problem like sound e.g.

@AshleyWB said:
When I want to throw down a pallet then it should let me. That is the only time in a chase that you are safe for a couple of seconds. It's how it should be. But the pallets have to do thier job, they are not doing a pretty good job those pallets. Survivors being able to defend themselves with pallets isn't something which is wrong with this game. You have to be fair to both sides. Sure it would be easy for people to say its too easy to loop so get rid of all windows. Get rid of the basement because it's a deathtrap. We have to be neutral. Pallets being able to stop the killer for a little is a mechanic of the game.Actually you are safe for the whole loop. the only risky moment is when you drop the pallet or you decide to take another loop. And pls dont tell me sth about mindgames now
Do you even play survivor at all? DO you understand what looping is? lol

Maybe I'm wrong but the killer hit the meg and then it immediately went to the end game screen. When would he have had time to hit Options and then Quit? I think that might have been a network issue maybe? If he was just quitting why even take the swing?99,9% of "DCs" ingame are ragequits.

I played a game yesterday where pallets refused to be pulled down and I got hit twice. I don't know if its latency or whether pallets are harder to maneuver. Too many times it just refuses to pull down. It's quite annoying being in a safe position by a pallet and the mechanic of pulling down doesn't work sometimes.you should never feel like you're in a "safe position" as survivor, especially during a chase
thanks for highlighting one of the things wrong with this gameWhen I play survivor I usually feel super safe. The only exceptions are nurse and mirror myers or tinkerer 2

-
Most likely it will be an update
Does it matter though? -
Survivors always have an insane advantage in this game.
The difference however is that high ranks have more hours / game knowledge and know how to abuse looping etc.My tips:
You should always tunnel the weakest survivor , there is no reason not to do that.
Camp when survivors are close or if you face a SWF, SWF are always overaltruistic, try to use that.if that doesnt help you, you can always derank back to the ranks where you enjoyed the game, you dont get anything from being high rank anyway (do it with afk games please, not by DCing)

Ruin, make your choice, monitor&abuses, nurses calling

Solo survivors will be as time efficient as SWF.
Killers won´t dogde SWF anymore, since it doesn´t matter anyway.
Games will be done faster, as everyone knows all the time if they need to leave the gen or not.
Lobby ques for high rank survivors might go up, since killers might struggle to rank up against the new gen rush meta.
It might be a great starting point to balance the game, IF they time the killer buffs right.
IF they take to long, they might have lost a huge amount of killers.SWF will be even more time efficient. Especially non-optimal SWF will benefit rlly hard from teh auras, its way more precise than voice comms and you can even interact with other players (if 2man or 3man swf).
It will never happen again that several survivors go for the same unhook which was one of the biggest time wasters for survivors.
Since devs just hand over these buffs to survivors while nerfing killer at the same time, I suggest that all killers follow cotes suggestion to switch to survivor or play another game.
No thats not a strike, thats just listening to the devs and following their advice
Monster Hunter World comes out in a few days...
Just saying...
Ya know...I know, already bought it. Didnt even have to think about after the Q&A where the devs showed us what direction the game is heading towards
