  • wow, he finally left!!! I did 2 games of overwatch until he got out just to casually insult me in the after game chat. It took almost 30 minutes ... how is this even a thing

I checked his profile after the game and it was some russian guy (not naming anyone) with tons of -rep in his comments X_X no wonder

Well, it's your choice, but if you disconnect, you will be rewarding that #########'s behavior.

Yea and I lose my points : <
I'm playing overwatch now, the game is still going in dbdl lol

  • But I would like to play another game before I have to go ... I'm still sitting there lol

  • Yea but why ... I met that team the game before and they won. Now that I killed 3 of the premades the last one refuses to go. What can I do ??? lol

  • Nobody knows what happened and only the support might be able to help you.

  • Well, I'm getting the dailies I want as soon as I re-roll so I cannot complain at all

  • Dailies are supposed to make you play the game more^^'

  • I thought they changed that without mentioning it. Most of my dailies are for the killers I play. Don't forget to re-roll ;)

  • @Someissues said:
Yep they need to give Killers the ability to Surrender like in Identity V, even that game has 2 vs 8 now, dedicated server and ranking rewards...

    I completely agree.

It's quite sad when survivors refuse to leave because they just want to rub it into your face that they escaped. I did a little test and in 5 games, I would refuse to go to the exit gate and I would stand in the basement to see how long it takes them to leave.

It was quite sad that the average time it took survivors to leave, with both gates open, was around 6 minutes. Now some games I wouldn't have to wait long at all but other games I could be just standing there for 10 minutes.

It takes forever for them to leave and they even serach the map for you so you can chase them out. As soon as I know I can't catch the last survivors I go somewhere on the map and watch youtube or twitch videos until they are gone. I'm sure that's not a great solution ...

  • @Dudddd said:
Yeah the perk bloodwarden bud i’d recommend you try it ok budd?? •Pats Head•

So the solution for this issue is to use the perk bloodwarden!? wow, you should become a dev maybe! why have the devs not thought of this?! insane!

  • Looks good, the devs definately need to change something. I'm once again stuck in a game because the last survivor refuses to leave until I chase him out...it's so dumb

  • @HP150 said:
and should instead just be a core-part of the killer. I'll start.

Trapper: Stitched Bag (carry more traps... because the trapper should be able to trap)
    Huntress: Iridescent Head (kidding, kidding!)
Doctor: Order: Class 1 (putting survivors in T3 should help out in a chase as opposed to just being used to tunnel survivors after they're unhooked, thus illusionary pallets)
Leatherface: ...He needs a lot of work, and no amount of add-ons can help him. Even Chili+Beast Marks.
Freddy: Paint Thinner (he's punished too hard for putting multiple survivors to sleep and his power doesn't help with chases)
Amanda: Rule Set No. 2 (this is a no-brainer)
    Spirit: Father's Glasses (ditto)

Overall, I think BHVR has a nasty habit of balancing killers around add-ons instead of the other way around. Killers should be strong and fun without add-ons and add-ons should be the icing on the cake. If you need add-ons to make the killer "good" then the killer is not, in fact, good.

I mean, do survivors have to take items+add-ons every match to be competitive against competent killers? They don't, because their base kit+perks are good enough and Killers should be the same way.

Rule Set No. 2 OR the trap always starts ticking as soon as survivors get unhooked.
Paint thinner would actually make Freddy a lot stronger (RIP sprint burst) and maybe Pill bottle?

Sometimes the game can completely turn the other way because one person has used Decisive Strike. It's okay for players who aren't too good in chases to use it, but there are also many people who have enough hours and experience in the game to know better and to play completely fine without Decisive Strike.. yet do they use it. As a killer, if you are chasing somebody who belongs to the second category I just mentioned you can lose the game just because of this perk and the chase you had. And to be fair ; I still can't figure out why a player would even deserve a second chance when getting downed.

I think many killers don't mind about normal players using Decisive Strike, but there are players out there who are really hard to catch, and besides using Decisive Strike they also use good items/add-ons, so it's not fun at all, to say the least, when going against these survivors.

I completley agree. The perk can make you lose the entire game if you commit to chase the obsession and not manage to take it down really quick (which is unlikely because usually loopers take d-strike over stealth perks)

  • D-Strike can be meaningless if you have "Enduring" and the survivor has no pallet or loop in sight that he can use to keep you away. The problem with d-strike is that if you start chasing the survivor you already know it will take A LOT of time to finally get him on the hook. You have to catch him once, then you carry him, you get stunned for 4 seconds and then you have to catch him again. It's very time consuming and you can imagine how much progress the other 3 players can make during that time. Worse case scenario would be the survivor finds another loop and the chase starts all over again...
Also in late game when the exit gates are powered and he still has d-strike, say goodbye to "well, at least I got one kill"- NOPE

Oftentimes killers try to juggle d-strikers to a hook or they just leave him on the ground because it takes too much time to deal with them.

  • They could just add the number in ( ) behind slightly, considerably etc. or make it appear if we hover over the word with our mouse/controller. I still do not understand the reasoning behind not releasing those numbers.

    @HellDescent said:
I tried to get the info. This is the response I got:
"Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide exact numbers for our players."

How would they be unable? Are the numbers locked in a secret safe and only 1 person on earth knows the code? lol

  • I'd say the nurse. Teleporting sounds op

  • The doctor is not OP but his passive is really annoying and no fun to play against especially with aura extension perks on smaller maps. Have you played vs doctor on the game? It's just awful and frustrating.

  • Hm, sounds interesting but might give you too much information for a simple action. If there are 2 other gens nearby and currently being worked on, you will get the information that there are at least 2 survivors working on them. I think Surveillance would be fine if they increased the timer to 20-30 seconds and alert the killer with an explosion that the generator is being worked on again.

  • I don't know if you guys haven't noticed yet but The Pig is a fictional character in a video game... ^^''
And maybe she got problems with her knees? Who knows! Maybe from carrying all these heavy survivors around and hooking them.

  • That would be broken and what if someone gets unhooked and 1 second later a gen is done? The unhooked would immediately die without even getting a chance to do something about it lol

I agree that it's a little annoying to wait for a generator to be completed especially in the late game but it requires a lot of planning ahead on when to use them as they can be a very powerful tool (if well timed).

In the end the trap was created to stall out the game and to buy time to find other survivors and down them as well. It does not really matter that much if the trap goes off immediately or not because they must take off the head piece at some point sooner or later.

BUT there is a saving grace and it comes in form of an add-on called "Rule Set No. 2". It disables the ability to take off the head trap before it has been activated as the survivors cannot locate any Jigsaw Boxes until a generator is completed.

  • Are you all part of the Bubba fan club? xD

  • I have almost 500 hours and ruin skill checks are still a nightmare for me LOL I hit them sometimes but I rather get a small regress on a gen than a explosion :D

  • Send a ticket to the support^^'

  • So it is pretty much the same effect?

  • Destroy the totem just like any other Hex perk

  • Sometimes there are these games were everyone does like 1-2 gen and leaves the game. That is not enough to pip even though the killers was unable to get a hook in or maybe 1. I think you should still pip if you escape without being seen/chased/hooked...

I think it would be a great idea if the totem effect would spread evenly among all totems, meaning if all 6 totems are up the effect is most powerful and with each destroyed totem the effect lessens.
Ruin could slow down the repairing progress by 60% and have the ruin skill checks on.
As soon as a totem is destroyed it accelerates the repairing speed by 10% and stops the ruin skill checks.
In this case dull totems need the exact same amount of time to be cleansed as Hex totems.

I don't know if this is better than the current Hex: Ruin but the perk was made to slow down the game and if it is found within the first few seconds it has absolutely no effect and on the other hand searching for the totem is just a dull labor nobody enjoys especially when it's hidden really well.

Theres only 5 totems, but this would essentially render NOED useless as survivors would cleanse all totems upon finding out that ruin was active (in this scenario) also, having multiple totems like huntress etc they'd all lost their power gradually at the same time as the totems being cleansed.

Just make a special totem spawn for NOED at the end in case all totems got destroyed earlier^^

  • Yea I agree and the game does not reward you for playing stealthy and getting out. You must getting chased and save at least 1-2 survivors in order to pip which is weird because if you think about it you would want to stay unseen and not die but that's not how the game works xP You get points for actions and not for staying passive.

  • I have 450 hours and 2 characters on prestige 1. It will take TONS!!!! of hours to get all prestige 3 xP

  • The matchmaking seems fine to me. This game allows friends to play together no matter what rank they are and match you vs a somewhat skilld killer. I never had an issue with that tbh ^^

  • @Kilmeran said:

@Marvel said: yea you are right, I just didn't want to chase new players away xD

Nah, you're good. This Rank 20 Killer queue never giving me Survivors is gonna do that. And I know it isn't on my end, because if I flip to Survivor, it pops fairly quick. And I'm on PC.

same here but when I was around rank 18 (which is tooooo long ago) I got queues fairly quickly. I'm a little suprised you don't get queues :S

  • Prestige definately takes longer. I had 600.000k when spirit came out and barely got her to level 22.

  • I love 'em both <333

@Marvel and @Grimbergoth As a new player, I keep being told to level this character or that character and unlock teachables. Then I see these threads here and at Reddit, and I sit back and go: Well, maybe going back to Overwatch isn't so bad, after all.

Seriously, if I want an Asian RNG grind, there are MMOs for that. Hint: I don't. It's why I stopped playing MMOs, finally. The more I see the threads and then go off and research that aspect of the game elsewhere, the less hyped I feel to play it.

It's totally fine if you start and you play mostly 2-4 characters, you get enough BP to get the important perks but as soon as you have all killers/survivors with unlocked perks things change and it takes a lot longer to get certain perks on killer or survivor X if you haven't played him/her that often.

it a fair bit of luck , take the spirit I have , she has both noed and bbq at level 3 and shes just 40 . But like marvel said its once you have a lot of the perks for each survivor or killer that the perk pool get huge . if you say start with 20 perks total and then add 3 per killer you unlock to 40 and we have what 10 killers now that is another 30 perks you dump in there . It would be nice if there was a way to block or sort through them easier then just leveling up because once you p3 a character the web is massive and takes a ton of bp to cycle each level .

at the same time if they didn't add a rng or allowed you to block certain ones then what you would have is everyone blocking all but the perk they want to get it the fastest and so on basically hand picking perks . I try to see thing from both sides if I can so I understand the rng reasoning . but maybe tweak it so if you pass a perk two or three times it doesn't keep showing up , that or if you pick one that it has better odds or reappearing in the web the higher you get .Its just a wishlis is all .

yea you are right, I just didn't want to chase new players away xD

IMO just trash We're Gonna Live Forever and make No One Left Behind a David King perk.

It makes sense. He wants to protect his friends because he's strong so he wants to take hits and get everyone out but yea in game they are not that great ^^''

  • @Mashtyx1 said:
@Marvel So what do you want as an additional effect? Killers hooks with BBQ and sees survivors, so you unhook with WGLF or take a hit for some one you see gens.

Just add it to "We'll make it". I think that would be perfect but I would be okay with something like Dark Senses. Something that could actually be used^^

  • @Eninya said:
My only gripe with WGLF is that getting tokens isn't consistently accessible or easy. Some games you get all of them very quickly, or you escape with 0... which happens a lot more than it should...

My words exactly. It's not even that you get 4 or 0 stacks it's more like that it does nothing else but give you BP (if any) where BBQ gives you stacks + additional effect.

  • @Esheon said:
Decent survivors can play perkless and still win easily. Most killers cannot say the same. Survivors can sacrifice one of their 16 perk slots for a "useless" perk. Hell, sometimes I equip nothing but WGLF just to give myself a challenge and I play survivor solo.

Balance the game first and then maybe we can put a secondary effect on WGLF.

Not everyone is a great survivor player and especially new players could use a good perk to help them gain BP with the sheer amount of perks you have to unlock.

WGLF is the survivors BBQ Bloodpoint stack perk.

it's not, we're gonna live forever grants only BP and no vision!

BBQ grants vision AND bp. how is that the same? Also the BP stack for killers is on a useful perk where we're gonna live forever gives you only bp. In addition to that it's much harder to get 4x unhooks as a single survivor than 4 hooks as a killers.

then your thread title is wrong, and no, its just as easy to get 4 tokens on either side

I named the thread like that because we're gonna live forever sees very little play compared to BBQ. Yea I forgot that it's 4 individual hooks, the 2 in 1 bonus remains though

  • BBQ is not 2 in 1 because it's 4vs1 (what kind of a logic is that even). It's 2 in 1 because killers hook and they want to reward them with BP for not face camping or tunneling (hooking individual players gives BP boost) and hanging people. Survivors behave altruistic and that's what We're gonna live forever does, it gives you BP for taking hits, protecting, unhooking etc. BUT it does not give you anything else than BP which makes it inferior to BBQ to a point that it's pretty much never used even though survivors could use a small BP boost perk.

  • What's wrong with deliverance? o,,o

Survivors have perks that can read killers aura, location and items that let you do that too

But not in one perk like BBQ! lol Why is the survivor BP perk a single perk where the killer perk is 2 in 1?

  • @HellDescent said:
    You have one already

I think you need to use your Dream World effect on my original post to see clear. I'm not saying we don't have a BP perk as survivors. Read again if still unclear.

  • @Mashtyx1 said:
@Marvel so you are just upset that BBQ let's killer's see survivors for 4 seconds after they hook someone and it gives them BP?

No, I'm upset that in order to gain more BP you need to run a perk that gives you nothing but BP (no in-game effect). BBQ has some use and gives BP as a bonus, which I find great.

  • @MhhBurgers said:
Yes because survivors need aura reading perks to complement dat SWF

We already have those perks in Dark Sense and I think it would be the perfect counter part to BBQ. Even though I would suggest We'll make it would be a better fitting.

  • Can we stick to the topic and not talk about how many players are rank 1 and SWF groups.
This threat is about survivors not having a proper BP gain perk that is actually useful in a game like BBQ.

Yes there is a BP perk called we're gonna live forever but how often is that perk used compared to BBQ?
Rarely ever. And that is because we're gonna live forever has no other effect than giving you additional BP like a offering where BBQ gives you BP and vision (which is probably the most powerful tool you can have in the game). I'm not saying BBQ is op, I'm just saying survivors need a respectable BP perk as well.
