Would be nice to see all gen regression perks nerfed and nerf to prove thyself, toolboxes and other do gens faster perks. Won't happen though.

so basically everything switch over to chase and hide/seek. I would like it.

Also: I would like to see old Coldwinn-Style. The new one has nothing to do with a "Horror-Game-Atmosphere".

Buff ds back to five seconds and make it last 90 seconds like otr so there is an actual risk involved in tunneling. Nerf eruption. That’s all I want. I think eruption nerf is the only one that will happen.

Well then killers need another buff tbh. If u remove Tunneling (warmly welcome) and nerf the only gen-regression available (lets be real no one plays Ruin or Pop anymore), killers need something to keep up.

Ok.. then how about instead we ask for m1 killer buffs? Wouldn’t that make more sense?

They did 6 months ago... and it does literally nothing (10% faster kicks on pallets etc.). These called "General Killer Improvements" didnt help. The most M1-Killers are suffering is with a lot unoutplayable Tiles.

But I would warmly welcome buffs for guys like Trapper, Myers (Instakill-Addons aside), Freddy, Pig (Ambush can break pallets like Demos Shred, for that, nerf the RBT a bit) and so on.

  • @HugTechLover said:

nerf adrenaline and hope? They have to play the entire match to endgame with 2 perks to get those. Why would those need a nerf?

If u face 3 or 4Man-SWF while playing M1-Killer, you know why.

I expect enough balance changes to compensate for that miserable mid chapter nobody asked for we had in September

Ready to be disappointed as always

September was only Haunted by Daylight and Hag-Chase-Music.

I assume you mean 6.1.0 from June.

  • The rise in Tunneling and Camping is because every game u face Prove Thyself while your Gen-Regression-Tools are butchered besides Kicking the whole game while wasting 2/3 perk slots to get what u had before with old Pop goes the Weasel. This was one kick and then move on, now u kick the whole game around if u run CoB/Eruption/Nowhere to hide. Boring Meta atm

  • Well I never use CoB+Eruption. IF (big If) I run CoB, I rather go for Nowhere to hide 😅

  • @hiken said:

3 gens shouldnt be possible, there never should be 3 gens in a couple of mts from eachother, is extremely easy to camp hem with the new meta perks, besides many killers decide to camp them from the very start wich creates a long ass game extremely boring, and im not that patient to lose 30 mins or more for a dbd game wich btw only winnable in 4 man swf. time to leave for 3 gens.

Then u have to give standard M1-Killers like Trapper or Pig Teleports. All of them. Without 3gens, u need massive buffs to M1-Killers.

People are allowed to speculate or talk about what they want to see.

Anyway, I'm hopeful the activity icons are a good first step. I think the most helpful one will be seeing that a teammate is currently in a chase. Seeing that survivors are working on gens will at least be comforting. Especially in situations where there is one gen left and you need to know if you should go for a save or not. If another survivor or two are actively repairing you can hop off and go for the save and those survivors will see you're off the gen but not in a chase so they have an idea that "oh ok, they're likely going for a save." Of course it's not perfect because you could be trying to sneakily avoid a killer checking out your gen, so with the icons in mind, it may sometimes be better to get into a chase sooner to signal to your teammates that someone needs to go for the unhook.

Hopefully people who can play the ptb give lots of feedback. I do think a lesser kindred base kit would very nice, but I understand if the devs don't want to go that road for balance reasons, or if they want to try other things first.

My friend, I have never said no one is allowed to speculate or talk about this or that. I just replied MY opinion, that its better to wait ONE week to see what BHVR is doing this midchapter (in MY opinion are midchapters the important patches, not the Chapters).

Thats it. You are all free to discuss or speculate whatever u want, of course :-).

  • I would warmly welcome any sort of indoor map tbh.

Eyrie, Garden of Joy, Shattered Square... only Outdoor Maps + we lost Hawkins.

I really hope they do an indoor map next chapter

  • Yeah some kind of "Mini-Kindred" would be nice, I agree.

Lets wait till next week when the PTB-Patch Notes are getting released, shall we? (Should be next week)

  • Its fascinating. I read complains about the game in every thread, its unreal.

For the most part I love the game and say: Thanks BHVR for this awesome game.

Issues? Definitely! But still my favourite game over the last year.

  • At least they try different things to improve the game. Other companies throw in 2 patches and abandon the game.

  • I think nothing before I havent even tried the new system, IF its coming this ptb.

    You can't just remove 3gens.

    So Survivors want:

    1. No more 3gens
    2. No slugging
    3. No camping
    4. No tunneling
    5. No NoED
    6. No whatever the next 'crutch' warcry will be.

So...What are Killers allowed to do, according to Survivors?

No Eruption, no Dead Mans, hell, no STBFL and ffs no No Way Out. Oh and nerf Basement-Trapper! 🤣

Answer to your question: Be there so that survivors have fun when they butcher you.

  • Real question:

Did the devs ever said they will change the nurse? I think not.

  • Just remove the Level-Showcase after every Bloodweb (u see it top left anyway) and u are much faster with this.

  • With that, u need to reword various killers. I doubt this will ever happen. Devs already need over a year to just rework one character (Twins).

  • Survivors 3rd Person

    Killer 1st person

    Killer has too much vision.

Best what I have heard today. Thumbs up!

Do you even play survivor?????????????? This happens even if no survivors are on gens, lol. I even see killers doing this even though someone disconnected at the beginning of the game.

Edit- Tunneling someone out early is in almost every game I play (usually starting at 5 gens left). It's usually not because survivors tunnel gens (whatever that means). It's because the game becomes much easier when you get someone out early.

    I play both roles 50/50.

  • If the Gen-Tunnel-Situation is done, we can discuss this. Nerf the Toolboxes, BNP and extra-Unit-Item/Addons + Prove Thyself and we can talk.

  • 150%, no Hex anymore. It deactivates when a survivor is 2nd stage.

  • @DyingWish92 said:

Can someone answer why the devs added +10 gens if they were going to add OP crap like this perk combo?? The added +10 did nothing and I'd argue gens are even faster then they were before. They completely gutted Thanatophobia and Ruin and you've got stuff like this in the game? They also didnt touch prove thyself. Wow I wonder why so many killers are running Eruption, Brine, Overcharge meta because these speed up gen perks are pure cheese and you still got prove thyself which tons of people are bringing on top of it.

I think they seriously need to stop adding regression perks and speed up perks at this point and start focusing on these maps and look into why gen perks are being used on both sides. I have been unable to consistently have fun games of killer tonight because of the speed of the gens. Every game someone has prove thyself or toolboxes with BNP. And if they aren't using that they've got Hyperfocus/Stake out or something else. I'm literally resorting to knock out builds and leaving people on the floor to try and slow the game down which is somehow working a little bit. You get little to nothing out of hooking people because you can count on a gen popping as your bringing someone to a hook. Deadlock is a 100% must in every build I use now. It's frustrating, boring, and lame. I love this game but am so sick of this massive flaw that's been in it forever. You play killer you feel like you have to be at 4 places at once to apply enough pressure to stop them from finishing! I used to play killer most of the time but as of recently I'd say I played survivor 75% of the time because it's less stressful and doesn't feel as bad when you lose.

U want unbalanced stuff? We dont need to discuss Hyperfocus/Stake Out. Discussion about the current Med-Kits and Toolboxes are enough tho. These things (not the brown ones) are absolute garbage, broken #########. Its no wonder everyone brings in Franklins Demise this time.

Prove Thyself is another thing, holy #########. Its number should be halved.

We´ll probably get the HUD update. Which will improve solo experience but will also cause a lot of problematic survivor vs survivor endgame chats, since people will actually see what their teammates do (or don´t do) during the match.

Best case scenario: solos play like SWF.

Good that we can close the endgame chat XD.

But finally we can see in the match, that our allies are useless, not only in the endgame when we see 35k on me but 10k on the randoms XD.

  • One Issue with Nurse is, that she is awfully strong in the right hands at PC, but she is tremendously hard to control on console.

I imagine her Console-Performance is terrible, which ends up in the Low Kill-Rate on average with 52%.

But how to fix this killer, so that PC and Console can use him? Thats a problem.

On PC = Broken in the right hands

On Console = id imagine very limited.

  • MID-Chapters are FAR MORE interesting than "new chapters" for me.

New Chapters mostly bring out new broken maps (Garden of Pain and the Shattered Square are perfect examples), B-D-Tier killers (exception: Wesker) and not many upgrades of the game itself. If u believe streamers (i do not entirely), than Sadako is D-Tier and Dredge is B-Tier at best. Knight as well is D-Tier at the moment.

MID-Chapters are the moment of truth. Did the Devs listen? What are the changes? Any general gameplay-mechanic-changes? Killer-Changes? Rebalancing maps?

Last mid-chapter was "only" the Haunted by Daylight-Event more or less. Im REALLY looking forward and have HIGH hopes, the devs would do a lot. We shall see, PTB should be next week, right?

  • Nerf Trapper, because I cant deadhard over a trap anymore... 🤣

  • 1.) Remove the 4%-Option, instead, make Deliverance able to use in 2nd stage too

2.) Disable the "leave match"-option. If u use task manager then, youll receive a 15min penalty

Problem: In SWF, Gens would go faster, because no one has to leave his gen for the rescue anymore.

So if someone uses it, Gens are blocked afterwards or anything. Its kinda hard to find a solution.

  • I dont think extending the most boring part of Survivor-Gameplay (Gen sitting while watching a bar filling with toggle-mode or holding M1) will do what you want.

  • Only because perks are popular doesnt mean they need to be nerfed or changed.

For me, the best way would be to REWARD players for doing something as condition for perk X, Y and Z.

Ex: Old Pop rewarded you for a hook, new Pop is just garbage. Overcharge, CoB and Eruption is free to use, which needed go be changed.

Prove Thyself could work this way: % goes down and the killer gets notification OR you cannot use Items while its active.

  • I agree with this. RE Project W is by far the best chapter we received this year, Forged in Fog the worst. To be fair, Vittorio is an awesome character, perhaps one of the best survivors they brought out this year in terms of theming and details.

  • Just add this:

"After using Deadhard, you are unable to drop a pallet for 2sec."

Then the Deadhard into pallet and then drop broken stuff would be go and it would work as intended. The "safe area" is gone. Use Deadhard, Killer hits it - congratulations, here is the reward. If not, you are hitted.

  • Hardly disagree. U want DS while Gates are 99% with old numbers. No thanks.

This ends in an Situation there is NOTHING the normal killer can do, which is broken and should not exist.

I think DS 4sec is the way to go, disabled after 5 gens are done.

I feel you, but at the same time, I think one major issue might be matchmaking being super lenient. For instance, this was my second game ever as Clown :

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/8R5MYRW4DG4M/lobby-of-doom-part-2.png

(At least they were super nice, both during and after the game, which is fortunately common enough for me. I'm also pretty sure the Nea gave me the kill, since I was patrolling the gate on The Game and she had all the time in the world to find hatch)

I think matchmaking being lenient is the first thing to adress to deal with squad SWFs without harming casual SWFs that aren't that good. Because if a SWF really is very good, escapes a lot more than they would if they were not in a group, then logically matchmaking takes care of that and puts them in front of killers who can handle them.

The problem is not the SWF (BM notwithstanding), it's the fact that they're matched with killers who are not ready to handle them.

When I SWF with my friend, we're chatting about other stuff, and we die like 70% of the time. We're not a danger to anyone, so a better matchmaking would not affect us negatively. However, if Mark, Tim and Jen are a tight team that have designated roles and call out killer position at all time, have 3E and 4Es often and still find time to gloat at the gate, then clearly they we can skip a couple of mmr levels and put them directly in front of killers that are more experienced than the ones they're facing.

Maybe make gaining mmr cumulative, and if you're on a winstreak you win increasingly more mmr ?

That way, there is no need to be bulk nerfs to SWF, only buffs to average and lower tier killers so that they can compete on higher mmr brackets. Hopefully, buffs directly at their power and not in sheer numbers, so that it becomes more interesting. I'd love for the Clown's yellow bottles to be easier to use, or for Nemesis's zombies to finally have a working AI or collision failsafes when they're glitched into a bush.

    Anyway.

    Food for thought !

This moment when all escaped survivors with 7.500 BPs for escaping are still coming in behind the dead survivor 🤣

Pop and Ruin weren't destroyed for the sake of balance. They were destroyed so BHVR could sell more Freddies, Nemesises and Sadakos.

More Freddies? For what? Remember Me? 🤣

But also no Jolt, Sloppy and other stuff... how about just no exposed perks on her blinks? Serves the same purpose in that regard... I'd rather have a nurse run jolt and sloppy than call of brine eruption...

I dont think CoB+Eruption will last long. Maybe this Mid-Chapter or the one after it. It will get changes, Im sure about it.

  • Blink-Attacks are Special Attacks, so no Noed or Starstruck.

    Thats it.

  • Nowhere to hide is a really good perk in the current boring meta, ngl.

Why are the devs bringing "kick-Meta" instead of "Chase-Meta".

Example: Old Pop goes the weasel

It rewarded the killer for chasing and finally hooking a survivor. For me, Pop shouldnt get nerfed, but buffed to 30% total. You need chases to achieve it.

Now u have Overcharge/CoB/Eruption/Nowhere to hide combi-builds which require NOTHING, just do it over and over.

A perk should reward killers, same for survivors. If u manage to go from dying state to injured, Soul Guard for example rewards you with 8sec BT.

Thats how all perks should work. You need to do something for getting its effect.

Thats why I love Dead Mans Switch. It can easily go back to 45sec. You get rewarded for chasing and hooking, not for free like Deadlock.

  • I had some "comp"players yesterday vs. my Blight too. The result was the same. Toxicity in Endgamechat without end. You are trash, so bad etc.

Kids need a hobby. Im 35 years old, I dont waste my time to explain them what chill is 🤣

  • Shadowborn on Blight. Beautiful!

  • @HugTechLover said:

Just kidding… run whatever you want, but gahhhhhdammnn every killer is running CoB + eruption. 😂

Pain Res, Dead Mans, BBQ, Corrupt = my Freddy

    See? Something different XD

  • What do u dont like at Midwich? I think its one of the most balanced maps in the game. The only real issue for me are Hook-Placements sometimes.

You have nice loops, outplayable for both sides. The only real issue I see there is the window in between two rooms at the edge of the room, while the killer has to destroy the breakable wall and still has not the slightest chance. Move that window to the center of the wall and the map is fine.

Nurse: Just make her Port-Hits Special Attacks and all that stuff like Starstruck, NOED etc. doesnt work anymore.

  • @NekoGamerX said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3302827#Comment_3302827

and the killers only true objective is really to kill you so whats your point?

Exactly. Thats why all these Tunneling-Complains are not the correct discussion. The correct discussion would be, in my opinion: "How should the devs change the game so that tunneling isnt the best strategy to win games as killer anymore?".

With that, u wouldnt see 2nd chance perks as often as now, because the meta would really shift.

  • @C3Tooth said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3302628#Comment_3302628

You can simply put 4 slowdown and still win with first kill at 9th hook.

I main Trapper and I use Plaything, Penti as slowdown. Much more fun than quad Gens.

I know that. It depends on the survivor-team nonetheless. If I face Plaything, I never cleanse it, because I assume Penti is the follow.

  • @Firellius said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3302739#Comment_3302739

Seriously. The conversation shifted from 'folks stacking BNPs, Prove Thyself, Hyperfocus and Stakeout force me to tunnel' to 'a survivor doing a gen forces me to tunnel'.

not doing A gen, doing gens ONLY (what i understand, its the only true objective).

  • The difference in the killers is too high.

If u compare a good Blight with a good Trapper, its a huge difference.

Thats one major issue in the game besides the map-design.

  • Since Sadako or Dredge or Wesker didnt got major changes on the upcoming midchapter after their release, I expect nothing else now.

  • Because this game is not PC only.

    On consoles, Nurse suck hard.

  • @scoser said:

I mean, by all means, tunnel away. The more killers that camp and tunnel, the more survivors quit the game and eventually it'll get shut down due to lack of players and we'll all be free of this torment.

The more survivors tunnel gens with Prove and Toolboxes, the more killers camp and tunnel.
