Exactly but no one is speaking up!
So I will!
People are speaking up but they get banned lol GL

I agree. With the grind fest this game is, they could at least make it a 100k a day. I'm pass 4k hours and still grinding.

I appreciate killers who tunnel bad survivors in solo queue. I wish more of them would do it.
I don't appreciate camping in any way. Do you realize that if the killer tunnels "bad survivors" it just makes your team weaker as well since there's less people alive?

The rest of the team also depips. Everyone does.

No they said that one is fine. All you're doing is standing in a locker. It's anything that requires you to press M1 as survivor that disables it, apart from opening exit gates I think
Self care works too then? isnt it m2?

That video is old, nothing new to anyone.
If you want to stop playing, go ahead, but a lot of us wont.

After I get unhooked I usually like to heal, I've never been one to abuse DS by rushing gens with it (unless desperate)
I often run inner strength so it doesn't bother me too much. That won't turn it off and if I do heal and it looks quiet then I can get on a gen and im not being tunneled. Only a stealth killer would be troublesome especially since they tunnel the most but just make sure the coast is clear before touching a gen.
I sometimes swap innner strength for iron will. In this case if another heals me I'm ok. Maybe if nobody is around I have to do a gen and lose DS but you make sure the killer is pre-occupied first.
I feel it's not too much of an issue for me. For self-care gamers though perhaps, it's totally possible for a tunneling killer to take a few seconds to start coming back but to ultimately come looking for you for the tunnel. Personally as someone who plays both roles I wouldn't be against healing/self-caring being allowed with new DS but absolutely the ability to do generators need to be removed.
Pretty sure IS will turn DS off

If they listened to the community, we wouldn't be in this dumpster fire of a situation the game is currently in. 90% of players did not want the movement changes or HUD update.
If they listened to the community, every perk would be removed bc there's always someone complaining
-
Arent you the same guy that made a thread yesterday saying you were hiding at 4 gens instead of doing anything productive when your team mate was being chased? I feel like you're already playing in a selfish fashion if you ask me
-
@GingerBeard said:
God I hate this situation so much.
There absolutely needs to be a time limit put in yesterday. No match should ever last longer than thirty minutes, and even that is still a bit too long for me.
As survivor i'll usually just run toward the killer if it seems the only other remaining survivor is hiding instead of doing objectives.
Don't do that. Snitch on the hiding one instead so they don't get rewarded for doing it and learn their lesson.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/217721/developer-update-january-2021
But that’s not all; once we are happy with matchmaking ratings and turn the system on for good, we’ll be introducing rank rewards. Since ranks will no longer be used for matchmaking, they will instead be repurposed to reward dedicated players. Each month, everyone will be given Bloodpoints based on the highest rank they’ve reached and then be reset to rank 20.
In the Dev Update for January. Rank just won't matter anymore after MMR. There will be rewards pertained to how far you got in rank for both sides (Just BP).
That's going to be a complete sh*tshow.
-
@NomiNomad said:
Man, you're gonna hate this.
As soon as the MMR system, Rank won't be anything more than a pretty number and you'll be put back to 20 at the start of every month. Just an honest tip: You shouldn't care about rank. It doesn't mean anything. I've seen Red Ranks that play like they've played the game for eight hours in total, and played with greens that are the best survivors I've ever seen. Same thing with killers.
Where does it say it will reset you to 20 every month?

Why wouldn't you use ds? It is the only perk in solo q that can help you not being farmed of the hook or just camped and tunneled to death. Whenever I see my teammates being downed immediately after being unhooked and put back on the hook, I always wonder why don't they use it. Some of them even dc after it happens like they didn't expect it lol.
Because I already have 1 perk slot for kindred, 1 for bond, 1 for iron will and 1 for lithe. Those 4 I always use, DS, not so much. I wont dc if my team mate farms me. However, if it is the start of the match and they could have waited for the killer to be far away but decided to just rush the unhook and not take a hit, if i get hooked again and they try to save me again I will struggle and suicide right in their face. Call it petty but lol
-
As a solo player who never runs DS I can see my team mates becoming even more useless and touching gens/healing me even less because they dont want to waste their DS.
-
I'd still play Quentin because him .> any perk.
As for killer, just for the perks I'd play hag.

I'm Solo and still Red Rank.
Either I'm way better than I think or it isn't actually that hard.
I'm solo and I'm stuck at rank 4 when i used to be 1-2.
Right now emblems are really a matter of luck, they aren't really accounting how much you do and how well you do during the match, specially the unbroken one. And again, how many dcs did you have in the loading screen? People said they were only a visual bug but nope
-
You misspelled Quentin but ok
-
I feel like most people on this thread are talking out of their butts.
Currently you can depip just by someone dcing in the loading screen. The emblems are also broken. You can finish a game with 30k+ points and only blackpip, if you were lucky enough for the system to randomly give you the unbroken emblem as gold.
I'm with over 4k hours, always been at red ranks and play solo. I'm aware of what you need or don't need to pip. The people you see at reds right now are mostly SWF players and not solos.
So by some people's logic on here, you only show your true potential when you're in SWF, which is the exact opposite of reality. Crap players keep being carried by their SWF, while solos have to do the double amount of work they were doing before to be lucky enough to safety pip. I could be in a match surviving for 20+ minutes and the unbroken emblem still be 0.
-
Or you know... just be productive or find the hatch first... you don't need a key....

So... your solution is to just presume everyone has Dead Hard, so don’t chase anyone?
Like I said on that thread, I do chase them.
Aren't killers the same ones saying survivors should all assume the killer as noed so clean totems? so how is that valid but it's weird if a killer assumes someone has dead hard?
Nowhere in my post i said to not chase them, I said to think about what you're doing and see what is worth doing or not....
-
100% agree with the Bloodweb issue. This game is grindy af and with each chapter they add it only gets worse, and it's like they are afraid of the BlOoDpOinT eCoNoMy and rarely gives double BP events etc.
-
So what I got from your post is that you were hiding near a gate instead of being productive when your team mate was being chased so they snitched on you?
Honestly the killer should have killed you too, I hate useless team mates.

I know right?! Ive had that happening but not the depipping issue , it's hilarious these people are trying to say "the REAL red ranks" with all these issues going on, and also pretending like people don't take breaks from this game and come back who are definitely high skilled on both sides, rank NEVER has and NEVER will mean anything in this game unless they add leaderboards and require ranking to be achieved only as a solo survivor which will never happen because the second you do that que times skyrocket where you split the player base and then people leave the game for something that doesn't take an hour to play
I'd like to see them just make it harder to pip if you are in a SWF. It would improve my experience as a solo at red ranks, less potatoes who got carried there by their friends.

Personally, I don't mind DH as long as other aspects of game are getting balanced, mainly the early game. If there was more time for long chases, less people would hate on DH.
Sure, if solo difficulty gets paired with SWF difficulty and some perks are made base kit, i'm fine with "balancing" early game

If it does include healing others, then you’re completely right about a lot of DS users refusing to heal others. But, I have similar experiences already. I constantly find injured teammates who will refuse to let me heal them, just because they want to use their DS against a killer that isn’t even chasing them.
Instead of saving it for their second hook and actually being productive, they just jump in and out of lockers. It’s stupid how many people use DS just for the sake of it. Why is getting a 5 second stun on a killer who isn’t tunnelling you so important? I just don’t get it.
It doesnt specify what kind of healing.
Edit: typo

Thats why the higher you rank the more chances you'll get a good solo queue team, which is rare of course, that's why it's good that bad survivors depips to lower ranks. I hope that the new MMR will make a bigger gap between good and bad survivor by their ranks.
Considering a lot of survivors get carried to red ranks by their SWF, the chances aren't great either at red ranks, which is where I am.

Has that been confirmed though or are you just assuming?
I'm 90% sure, but if someone else has the notes they showed on stream I'd appreciate
-
@Kees_T said:
Well I see no problem with that, it's the Survivor fault for not having the game knowledge to be efficient, and he needs to be punished by that, like SC users. If the rest of the team plays well they will guarantee at least their black pip, while the non-efficient survivor a depip to the low ranks (that's how I think it should work at least, but I know it won't and isn't). Anyways, a punishment is needed, and unfortunately the rest of the team will suffer from the consequences too.
This game isn't just pipping. People like to win. Which gets quite harder when having useless team mates in solo Q

Where has it been stated that healing others deactivates DS? The description just says ‘healing’ - which I assume means healing yourself?
It means any kind of action you take. So healing yourself and others.
-
Is he only doing that to you? If yes, it could be seen as targeting and you can report it.

While I hope people don’t do this this is definitely going to happen
Yea. I can see more people starting to use self care as well so they can actually get healed. :/
Imo you should still be able to heal others, just not be healed or heal yourself.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Let me explain. Self-care can come in good when you really need it but many people go out of their way to Self-care in the corner when they don't need to. When they should 99 it and fix a gen. Or just let someone heal the instead. Unfortunately I can see survivors going out of their way to get the DS stun when they should instead heal or fix a gen. Actually harming the team since they aren't going to advance the game.
My issue with the new DS is that in solo Q if I need to be healed and I find someone with DS active, they wont want to heal me so they don't waste DS.
-
@JPA said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1960187#Comment_1960187
I think the issue is:
- as the killer, you make your 50/50 choice of going to the far left gen or the far right gen
- you find a survivor, you chase them for a bit, maybe they drop a pallet or two, you get a hit, it's taken 20 seconds
- you chase them for another 10 seconds, it's getting a bit too long now
- they dead hard your hit, and reach a new jungle gym/pallet/structure which they could easily use to waste another 5-10 seconds, at least
Here you could end the chase, but at this point it feels like you've wasted that time if you don't finish the down, as they will heal up, or finish their gen and you have 0 hooks from the whole encounter (you maybe got a pallet out of it, and their however many seconds to heal).
Also, elsewhere it is likely that at least one other gen is going to be completed, so it's almost too late to stop committing to this one person anyway. So to me its almost a lose/lose situation to abandon the chase.
If they had sprint burst or Lithe, you might have just abandoned the chase from the start. It feels like Dead Hard is more powerful because you don't know if they have it til it's too late.
Or maybe I'm wrong, maybe the best move here is to abandon that chase?
When I play as killer, it is way easier for me to keep chasing a person who just used sprint burst because I know they wont have anything else.
IMO Lithe can be way stronger than Dead Hard, the only issue with it is that you get hit when vaulting things anyway so the speed you get from the hit kinda erases lithe.
And again, it comes down to SWF or solo. In SWF, you'd tell your buddies you need to be healed and go to one of them, in solo, you either waste your time finding a team mate or you use self care, and well.... that is like 30+ seconds of someone being useless.
Every time I start a chase with a survivor, I just get in my head that they might have dead hard, even without knowing, so if I know they cant get to a safe zone, i try to bait it, if they are near a safe zone I usually just swing. If they don't have it, great, if they do, I just try to keep in mind if the place they're at is good enough or not.
Strong loop and I have no perks to help me like bamboozle, enduring etc? Where they good in the chase so far or just camped pallets? Depending on what I saw from the chase so far and how much time I was on it, if any gen was done or not, I make the decision to continue chasing them or not.
A lot of gens are also on those stronger loops, so if the chase keeps going, I'll pass gens, and can see if there's anyone on there and how much progress they have.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
"I'm saying it now if you have a problem with DH as a killer then you just aren't good at killer"
It's one of the most used perks in the game, is consistently regarded as one of the most powerful perks in the entire game, there's plenty of evidence that a 1st chase dead hard can drastically affect the entire trial, and the perk itself can grant free endgame escapes but ok sure it's really not that good just a mediocre perk that only bad killers complain about.
Get off your high horse. I don't even believe you, anyone that brings up desync issues in relation to DH is full of crap because this is something temporary which will be fixed very shortly and has only been in the game a few weeks. It's not going to be there for much longer.
I'm sorry but if a single chase affects your entire game maybe just don't chase that person? I feel like a lot of people who play killer and complain about long chases are the ones who don't know when to drop it and go check on gens, and then complain about genrush.
Dead Hard is fine.

That's odd, total opposite for me. Killer has always been instant for me, before this patch, with survivor taking up to 5 minutes, it's now the opposite. I'm EU too.
For me is, UK time since the morning until around 7pm, instant lobby for survivor. At night it takes 5+ mins and the ranks are all over the place (just the other day I was rank 4 and got matched with two rank 19, a rank 15 and a rank 10 killer).
Killer is the opposite. During the day Q times are 5+ mins, but more chill games. At night it's instant but I get all the sweaty people.

I was more annoyed at watching PC teammates phase through hits tbh. And WAY too much, like in a perfect world i wouldn't get hit at the bottom of a 2 story building but also you wouldn't get to just do a little spin and gain i frames or not get hit in the middle of a pallet vault.
But anyway i was just pointing out what the guy was explaining. Nothing changed for me and i was still doing fine in dbd, PC players lose an advantage and now the game is unplayable? Its not like lag you're not getting hit from a mile away, its such a small thing people can't even say what the problem really is. Is it Desync? Is it hitboxes? Is it the new animations?
The advantage it gives killers in my world is much less of an advantage than survivors get in your world as evident by the fact that most people can still easily escape most killers after a 30 minute wait of course because no one plays killer. Funny you think all the people saying how braindead easy killer is now would be playing a little killer but ig not
An advantage is an advantage. I already play on EU servers, and I get a lot of people from Russia with not so great latency... The desync just made it look like I'm going against them every single match.
I'm not playing killer because my Q times are longer as killer and always have been. Even before this patch my survivor Q was instant and killer time took 5 mins. With crossplay on and off.

You're on PC right? What you're experiencing is just what every console gamer experiences every game, except you still have the advantage of a mouse and keyboard.
Console players have always complained about the desync, and they have all the right to.
I'm not sure if they can fix it on the console side, but we can all agree that it is highly annoying, and in a lot of times, quite BS.
-
@Blueberry said:
Im Surviving the majority of my matches just fine. The desync is an issue but people are vastly over exaggerating. I think it’s separating some of the bad from the better. Same way I feel with the pipping issue.
How does something that is done server side separate the bad for the better? It doesn't depend on you. It's like saying if a killer is lagging and you get hit because of it, it just means you're bad.
Have you tried playing in the EU servers? Yea, a lot of people on here are not quite exactly in the EU.
-
By nerfing gen speeds the people who suffer the most with that "balance" change is solo Q.
-
this +10000000000000000000000
-
Outfits also seem to be bugged. Every time i change to another survivor already in the lobby it gives me default cosmetics.
-
I think you're wrong.
I could have a perfect match, escape, and still black pip or even depip, since the emblems aren't consistent.
You shouldn't depip every time you don't escape. And I get just as bad teams right now as I did before.
-
You can still win games, doesn't mean the dsync is great. Killers have advantage right now because of it. Hopefully it will be fixed next patch.

Perks to give you advantage? OP and unfair, didn't you know
