P100 Thalita , Xenomorph and Singularity during this event prayge 🙏

im glad you’ve noticed this because it’s becoming unbearable to play with low frames. I also play on Xbox series X and on several maps there are areas that cause low frames especially RPD, Borgo and Garden of Joy.
-
Same here. I also play on the latest gen and I haven’t experienced and issue since. Glad to see someone else is having the same issues so there’s hope this gets patched.

Hag has lots of potential and can be very lethal to Solo Q survivors.
However, if she is versing a SWf, her power can be easily countered making her a 110% slow killer who only has the ability to swing.
She is very strong but there are just somethings that swfs and maybe even solo survivors can do to counter her power and make her weaker.
-
I don't know if others realized, but 1 hour or 30 minutes after the chapter was released, Leon and Jill's sets were not linked. But they made them Linked for whatever reason
Jill's set makes no sense whatsoever. Her head is a copy from her original outfit.
Leon's hair is slightly longer, but that's very Minor.
BHVR really out here making us pay 400 extra cells for something that is copied.

ok so, your basically admitting that your entitled yourself.?

I didn't went off topic you called them entitled because someone not giving them option to play... Because you mentioned downing them straight off of hook first of all how did u find urself there immediately if u ain't camping to tunell them back? Also how exactly u think to pressure gens and game by going for same person over and over? Tunelling ain't it unless endgame and if they got hard tunell I support them in their "entitlement" just like I support killer in their "entitlement" if they got screwed over with dead hard or old ds etc etc
so your basically admitting that your entitled yourself?
-
@SpilledCookiesxMilk said:
You can play the game however you want, doesn't stop the fact that if you tunnel, you're basically admitting you aren't skilled enough to go after different survivors.
Exactly
-
@justbecause said:
Are you complaining about people complaining about killers who tunell them straight off? I play both sides equally and survs has every right to complain about tunelling straight off of hook... Just like killers complain about dead hard that gives survs distance to safe loop they didn't deserve... Same way they can complain about killer who tunell to get down they didn't deserve....I main plague and Pig two average dbd killers and never tunelled anyone and always manage to get 3-4k you can play how u want but when u play like a dick don't complain when someone calls you out
First of all, you went way off-topic. Second of all, your point is not visible to me. Third of all, when was I complaining about something?
-
@alaenyia said:
The definition of tunneling has evolved in the nearly 4 years I have been playing. It does indeed mean downing a fresh offhook. Playing cheap and lazy for your own ease, thus ruining the game for another player, is unacceptable. It is not against the rules, so to be honest you can do it. But at least own that it was trash and that the heat at the end of the game, that you earned with your bad game play. If people are constantly balling you out for how you play it is probably not them.
I agree, i see your point!
-
@ryseterion said:
Most people become entitled as survivor because they hear a term and its basic meaning, but never actually know what it means. I once met a survivor who thought that tunneling was when the killer chases someone with ds active even if the killer chased and downed someone else first.
I know. LMAO!
-
Pop is the very reliable and can help in most situations for killer. i dont think anyone would say otherwise lmao.
-
Hexes are the most unreliable thing. First, they spawn in the worst places ever, they can be broken within the first few seconds of the game and they are just very inconsistent.
-
Do you use dh to avoid the killer's hit?

That is never my intent, and I do regret if that is the case for you or anyone else. I'm just thorough. I don't waste time and try to argue the points and do it with support. Sometimes it is overkill; I admit that. I certainly don't think people who disagree with me are idiots. Occasionally I'll run into someone who is being what is called "willfully ignorant" and that is a horse of a different color as they say in Oz. We talk about these things with the intent to come to understanding. I've been wrong before, and when it happens, I eat crow. If I learn something new and get corrected, at least I will know better next time. If some of my posts (harsh or not) help anyone, then they are worth doing. They are not intended to make anyone feel less intelligent.

How new are you? :) The Pips help you earn Rank but your Rank has less to do with who you are matched with than the needs of the Que, your Region, and the time of day. Ultimately... "the Spice must flow" and thus they have to keep the matches going or the game dies. Thus, you are matched more often by the "first in first out method" and nothing else. It has been that way for well over a month, almost two now.
Even if/when they get the new MMR system running, what makes you think it is going to work that hard on matching your teammates with you by skills? The primary function will be to match the OVERALL rating of the Survivors combined against the Killer's rating. That is the paradox of the 4v1; it will not be matching you with individuals of your own Skill. It is going to match you in a batch, and then that batch is going to be roughly lined up with a Killer they think will make a decent challenge.
You are going to have to be both pragmatic and realistic. Control the things you can control, i.e. yourself and those teammates you can communicate with directly. This is the game. It isn't going to change much. You either rise to the challenges it presents or you move on to a game that better meets your needs. When you play Survivor you are going to have bad teammates from time to time (it may even seem that way all the time). Even when you get good teammates, there is still going to be at least one weakest link. The winner of a match is the side that makes the fewest mistakes, and there being more Survivors, there are more potential mistakes.
In regards to your notion of a training mode, what I am guessing you mean by a more in depth tutorial, it isn't viable. Why? This game has too many variables. Every Killer has his/her own style, tactics, and strategies. There is the random elements of the spawn, builds, and add-on(s)/offerings. There is (as already discussed) the unpredictable nature of your teammates. A training mode only works, for matching purposes, if there is minimum standard of behavior and expectation of behaviors. Those do not exist in Dead by Daylight. The best a tutorial can manage is something covering the mechanical aspects of the game. Bad teammates are not failing the mechanical aspects; they are simply failing in adaptation and strategy. There is no fix for that other than them simply getting better over time.
I literally get scared when you comment on my post cause I feel like a idiot lol.

This isn't so much a criticism but more of a question. What counts as significant? If talking about the desync, that issue is being looked at. Matchmaking is... Matchmaking. All we can hope is that MMR actually works.
As for them continuously pushing out chapters, I'm just gonna rip something from another post similar to this.
The Dev's are employees. Somebody higher-up has them on a strict schedule of "new [BAD WORD] every three months", and they probably can't do jack about it. I think people forget that a lot- This is a company. They have a boss and schedules to meet; A schedule that doesn't give them enough time for health. They have to follow orders or risk losing their jobs, or who knows what else.
I mean, they also have said they only work when they want to, so I may be totally wrong.
your right.

How exactly is you having BAD teammates the DEV's fault? Do you think they can magically match you with only Superstars? :) Your other gripes have nothing to do with your MAIN complaint, i.e. your teammates suck. That is on you and them to correct.
i never said it is the devs fault for bad teammates. please don't put words in my mouth.

I'm going to cut to the chase here; you can take what I say on face value or not. The DC Penalties aren't going anywhere. You can extend this thread into the thousands, or create countless more. It won't make any difference. Dead by Daylight only works when the participants take part. There are no Bots, and there are never going to be any Bots. The cost to create working Bots is prohibitive to the ongoing profit. This business model keys on the fact that the Player provide Protagonist and Antagonist. That is all there is to it.
People disconnecting was undermining the system to the point that the actual business model was threatened. It has gone beyond the rude, inconvenience many of us were individually suffering. People are not going to log in and play if they don't get to finish the majority of their matches. That is why there is no leeway anymore in the disconnect penalties. That is why they are never going away. Accept it. Embrace it. Make your peace with it. Nothing prevents you from acting like a jerk, but you will pay a price for it. It is YOUR choice.
I get what you are trying to make me comprehend. I will take your advice and move on. I'm sorry i did not have consideration for your advice.

@Freki said:
Come up with the coding for it and make it 100% able to determine if there is an intentional disconnect of the network cable or software disconnect on their computer.... this is why they are not able to make it so that they can allow penalties because of network connections. now I have been playing during peak times and off peak times and I rarely disconnect and when I do it's mostly on my end or my isp. i've disconnected once in the last nine months and the time that happened it was my windows trying to make a call to my video card and the the game crashed because of that.
ok ill try.

If you randomly disconnect once, that happens. If it happens twice, you know you have an issue and should at that point be taking steps to correct it. If you continue joining matches when you know it is going to keep happening, that is NO LONGER random. That is a pattern and you are choosing to continue it. Do you see the difference?
Everyone, myself included, gets dumped from time to time. As I stated at the start, I also live in an area that REGULARLY is covered with snow and has unreliable internet even when there ISN'T a crazy emergency. Whenever the problem rears its ugly head, I sigh and find other things to do. Right now, I'm talking to you. Let me be clear, nobody is going to fault you for the odd random, spread out drops. But if they start happening a lot and frequently, you are then making a choice. That is why the penalties start small and then get BIGGER.
ill just stop playing .

Does it affect your life if you stop playing when your internet is not working?.
No. this is over. I simply asked a question and this went way out of hand.
-
@HectorBrando said:
Every time you disconect from a match you ruin the game for 4 people, if you are having internet issues on your end you shouldnt be playing cooperative multiplayer games. Its not fair for you? maybe not, its fair for the people who get grouped with you and get their match ruined? not in the slightest.
Lets say you have an awful work schedule and you have to work long shifts a lot of consecutive days, you have only 1 hour to play videogames per day, imagine you decide to play DBD and then get paired with people with awful connections straight for that hour, congratulations, you just ruined the only free time that person has because you insist on playing a game without proper tools (either a bad PC or a bad conection) and before someone says "but... but that doesnt happen, nobody has that awful work schedule", it does, its me on my "on duty" schedule where I work 26 days in a 29 days period, usually for 12 or even 16 hours so please, if your connection is having trouble play offline or cooperative games where it doesnt matter if you drop, think about the other people who have to play with you and how your dcs affects them.
does it affect their lives though?

It isn't a difficult concept. Let me give you an analogy. If you are extremely sick, let's say suffering from Covid-19, should you be out and about shopping and hanging out around other people? Getting sick wasn't your fault either, but CHOOSING to expose other people to Covid-19 would be YOUR choice.
Does that put it in context for you. Right now your internet is SICK. It means you will drop out of the games more frequently. Is it your fault the weather is bad? No. Is it your fault for insisting on playing WHILE your internet is bad? YES. You and I have the same problem right now; the difference is that I am choosing to do things that will not screw over four other Players if my internet drops. I understand you completely. There is no gray area here.
This is a totally different concept and this situation came out of the blue. HOWEVER, I do understand the covid thing but this is different.
-
@Nameless said:

Omg yes you're absolutely right! Those sick killers definitely didn't enjoy seeing people pulling the plug at all after they nodded you goodbye on the hook!
And those survivors you're teaming up with love seeing their teammates quit! The pettier the reason the better!! We all know it's those killers fault in the end.
Thank you for understanding what we meant I don't intend to make others feel upset because of an uncontrollable situation.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It was a huge problem and the penalties turned it into a much rarer occurrence so they absolutely are required and have done a lot of good for the game.
Regarding your situation, that is something you have to figure out on your end, it is not up to everyone else to cater their experiences to one person because of issues they have with their own services or hardware.
My internet randomly drops between midnight and 6 am because I am on a cable net connection and it's not the most reliable in those hours; so what do I do? I just do not play during those hours, or if I do I stop playing after one or two mid game disconnects so that I don't accrue an increasing penalty and disrupt more people's games.
I have never once blamed the game, bhvr, or other people for an issue that has to do with my ISP provider.
I understand your point. I just don't like the fact that someone thinks that I'm the reason for ruining some other's lives. if I randomly disconnect in a match regardless of me not knowing there is a situation, is that my fault?
-
@Moundshroud said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1953035#Comment_1953035
Let me make this crystal clear, since you don't understand yet.
- You clearly KNOW you are having internet issues, correct?
- You are CHOOSING to play anyway, correct?
- The other Players who have their games screwed over by you are being inconvenienced, correct?
Do you see where I'm going with this? If you know you are having issues, you should not be playing until said issues are corrected. YOU are making a choice which you know will cause other people grief. That IS under your control, and thus the responsibility is YOURS.
You don't understand either I CLEARY said It is something THAT IS NOT IN MY POSSESSION TO CONTROL and you're saying it's my fault. I wonder how you feel when that happens to you. You clearly don't understand my point. I DO NOT want to argue with someone that thinks that I'm the reason for ruining other people's lives.
-
@Moundshroud said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1953010#Comment_1953010
Yes. If you know your internet is having problems, you should not be trying to play a game in which four other people rely on you. You aren't playing with Bots. So yes, if you INSIST on playing when you know there is an issue, that is ON YOU. Fix your issues or wait out the weather. Jump back in when all is well. That is the polite thing to do.
This does not make sense. it is not my fault I'm having internet issues. I feel attacked by the way you said it's my fault people have to suffer.
