Most of us who play this game play as survivors most of the time. We enjoy this game when it’s fair and we don’t have to play against impossible to beat killers. In my opinion, I think these people who are impossible to beat killers have become this way because A) First and foremost they don’t do anything with their life, other than play this game every waking moment of their day. And B)The devs are doing things with this game which make them virtually unstoppable (if not completely unstoppable.)
Just watch each game you are playing and notice how many times killers kill every survivor in the game. You will notice that in the VAST MAJORITY of these games, the killers win outright and not even one survivor escapes. And on top of that, the devs have now made it to where we as survivors cannot even see the auras of other hooked survivors???!!!
Guys, it’s time for us to quit. If DBD is gonna do this and make it so unbelievably unfair for the majority of us trying to playing this game then it’s time to walk away and do something else. If DBD wants us back then it’s gonna have to be on THEM to make some real changes to balance the game to bring us back.
Sorry you feel this game is no longer for you, hope you find something else to play.
-
If you have any issue with the DBD Discord ban please take that up with the Discord Moderator who banned you - you can respond via ModMail.
-
I think the question to this has been answered many posts prior to this, but I will emphasise - Not participating in normal gameplay can result in a ban and taking the game hostage is not normal gameplay.
Video evidence is required of course and an in game report also mandatory.
Furthermore, the Game Rules posted on this forum ARE the Official Game rules, please do not doubt that, it's something we've made clear many times before. And it's a players responsibility to make themselves aware what is in these rules.

yeah thanks captain obvious, you've made it clear that you can change loadouts as a killer
now, would it really hurt if I can switch the killers depending on what they're holding since survivors are always on the upper hand? pretty sure that's the argument here.
And as I explained - that's not possible, because of course the system would be abused to queue with a lower skilled killer to get lower skilled survivors and then swap to a stronger killer whilst in the lobby.
And please refrain from the passive aggressive sarcastic comments towards me, it's not needed. I am explaining why they are locked and the reasoning as to why it will stay like that.
-
Because Survivors are just skins, their skill level is the same regardless of what character they play. That's not true with Killers obviously.
And the Killer still has the option to change perks, add ons and offerings in the lobby so it's only the character that's locked in, not your full loadout.
-
The reason for this is in the Patch Notes:
Players have a separate MMR for each of their Killers - and as match making is done during the "search for match" phase, the killer has to be locked in at that point.
You can still change perks, add ons, offerings once in the lobby but you can't change the character.

Ok, whatever “bait” means, so what. To those of you reading this whose lives do not revolve around this game (and who actually went outside today), just report these people. I’m not “baiting” whatever the hell that means. I’m saying to the rest of you people reading this (who do not suffer from an extreme vitamin D deficiency) and like to play this game once in a while like a normal person and not become utterly engulfed in it, just report them.
If you do this, the devs WILL start nerfing these peoples characters so that they cannot keep ruining the game for everyone else. Why in hell would these people have such a problem with that anyway? It’s because their entire lives and sense of purpose is wrapped around this game. I think it’s time for these people to actually get a real life.
I would like to draw your attention to this in our game rules:
Please do not abuse our Support staff because you are unable to beat another player - our team of Customer Support Advisers work incredibly hard and do not need to have to sift through many useless reports, and then genuine people cannot be helped.
I'll also remind you of our forum rules which states quite clearly that attempting to organise any attacks on our outlets is not tolerated here.
-
If you slow the video down, you can hear the hatch opening before someone escapes - it looks like one of them picked up a key from a chest and they both used it to escape
-
A reminder to people to please keep this thread civil...this is an open forum and everyone is allowed to comment but please respect the forum rules.
-
It has been commented on, as you can see above.
-
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/175661/sync-error#latest We already have a bug report in for this, please can you upvote that post and you can also add whatever extra information you have to the thread.
-
Yes, it's working as intended on Xbox, so your MMR score is applicable to individual killers.
@Chaotic_Riddle it's implemented only on Xbox at the current time, before being rolled out to all platforms on an, as yet, unspecified date.
-
With the new promo code system coming into effect it's more likely that we will now be able to add Fog Whispers from other platforms, previously we've not been able to do codes for Consoles etc and with this being one of the perks for being a Fog Whisperer it was a pretty important factor.
In order to get your content noticed to be considered we have our own hashtag to use on your Social Media posts - so your going live tweets for example #IntoTheFog will get your post seen.
-
Hi, I've had a few people mention this to me - it's something I've brought up with the team so we are aware, I'll update if I get any more information.
-
Please can you make a Bug Report about this, thank you.

Ofc only Killers get locked in, and players still deny BHVR isn't Survivors sided.
Lawl.
Nothing to do with being survivor sided at all!
It's locked in because when you search for a match that's when the matchmaking happens, so if you queue with your strongest killer for example and then decide to change to another killer whilst in the lobby you are going to struggle...that would also be abused the other way around - you'd queue on your weaker killer and be matched with survivors of that skill level, then switch up to one of your stronger killers in the lobby.
The difference for survivors that there's no difference between characters in the same way there is for killers.
-
It means that we can give out codes, and these can be given out to all platforms etc So for things like DLC codes etc
-
Not everything had time to go through, there will be further changes in the Hotfix.

The name Zarina is pretty popular in the Middle East and Lebanon, Syria in particular. Whilst not as common as Amal it's definitely indicative of the region as a whole.
-
A person's account is their own responsibility first of all. So no it would not be possible to contact Support to get anything removed from the account.
If the account is flagged it will most likely be banned, it's not an excuse that it was someone else that did this - same as if an account was hacked.
Always be careful who you let access to your account and always have 2FA on your accounts to help prevent things like hacks occurring.
-
@TheMonadoBoi no worries, I think we all understand those frustrations!
-
It's an achievement if it means something to you.
I remember when I got Rank 1 I was pretty pleased with myself so yeah it was definitely an achievement for me, but there were a lot less people at Rank 1 in those days (2016), it was harder to rank up at that time and Rank Reset took you back really far each month.

Just like they don't hire people to test their patches and use the ptb for free testers, they won't hire anyone to deal with cheaters or spend money upgrading their servers to record the match.
Can't upset their new investors after all.
Wrong on both points I'm afraid. We do have a team of ACM's that deal with the reports and actively ban players, if reports have been made.
@Sunbreaker7 I understand the issue with regards to reporting and I've moved this to the Feedback section in view of that.

The issue here is that Europe exists. I live in England and can speak a small amount of German (I can badly say "I've done the gen" or "I want to be healed") but throw me in with someone speaking French and I've lost it. There are, if I remember my school assemblies correctly, over 200 variations of languages spoken in Europe (including the differences between German German, Austrian German, and Swiss German, to use them as an example). Not everyone can speak English and balancing around comms when all I can hear is Russian being screamed in my ear won't work.
That's a very good point, and one that I've mentioned before on this forum - Europe has so many different languages and not everyone speaks English OR should have to.
I personally have no issue playing against SWF with or without voice communications, it's usually the most fun matches that I have because people actually want to get involved and are not crouch walking around the map and not making saves etc. There are very few SWF teams that are highly skilled players, in my experience it is mostly people playing around with their friends making crazy saves and just having some fun.
-
I'm going to guess that you're asking why you've been game banned. And if that is the case, please contact Support who can give you more information https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
-
I'd also add to this, if you can go into a KYF match and do some practice with her.
If you don't have anyone you can do that with, on the DBD Discord there's plenty of channels and I am sure that people there will go into a KYF with you and help you to practice on her.
-
@DudeDelicious is our resident Clown main if I am not very much mistaken.
(apologies for the tag, but you are very knowledgeable about this killer and I hoped you'd be able to offer assistance) <3
-
Yes it's perfectly ok to use something like Discord to chat with your friends whilst playing a game of DBD.
The Official DBD Discord also has specific voice channels which people can use if they want to.
And no this is not against the game rules.
-
EAC recognises that a file is not as it should be - yes this can happen mid match. If you verify your game files, it will solve this problem. (it's basically that some files have been corrupted, which is why it happens then).
-
Due to the arguments that have encroached on this thread, I'm locking it here.
And to make this clear to everyone - Farming is not something we approve of, and if people are forced into farming in a game - yes that it is reportable and bannable under the griefing category in the game.
-
As someone who uses Head On in pretty much every match, I really don't think it needs a buff - you can make some great saves with it as it is and it helps to distract the killer a lot in chases as it is...it's up to the person using the perk to position themselves in the right areas as to its usefulness.
-
Due to a fact that some people have taken this discussion too personally and I've had to delete a load of comments that are pretty much irrelevant to the discussion, I'm going to close this here.
-
If everyone works together, it's possible to make the save - it'll need team work though.
And no, it's not reportable.

TL:DR.
As trapper you want to setup your traps before chasing someone. Unless you know you can get them quickly. You don't want to waste too much time trapping though. I suggest corrupt intervention to buy you some time in the beginning to setup. Also bring trapper bags. Being able to carry more traps is a god send. At the start of a match I even pick 3 gens that I WANT to defend. I'll let them take certain gens so when they have 1 left, it's in a mine field of traps. Whispers doubles for trapper. When you learn how to use it not only is it great for finding survivors but it will also tell you when survivors are not near you. This means you can probably place a trap and no one will see you do it. Whenever possible, hook someone in the basement and trap the hell out of it.
Great point about Corrupt Intervention, that so good on him - really helps with that early game!
-
I've not had a problem seeing when someone is carrying a key due to the stance...I have more difficulty in game to see if the character has it then or if they've given it to another character.
-
As has been already mentioned, I think the fact that 4 separate survivors could "ban" 4 different killers would destroy queue times - there'd be more lobby dodging and queue times would increase on both sides, I don't think that's a solution to a fairly minor problem.
Strange thing is, I rarely see the same killers in matches - only when the Challenges call for specific characters. I see a great range of Killers in the majority of my matches.

I love how the devs will pop in to fight you about the game's player count, but they won't discuss what they're doing for the long-term health of the game.
That's an indication of their priorities.
Not in the slightest!
As you might not be aware, many things cannot be discussed because they are in development or in discussion for future developments - no upcoming things that have not been released publicly will ever be answered by anyone on this forum including the Developers.
-
I don't play Trapper a whole lot, but when I do if I find someone early I usually just injure and avoid any long chase - if they're out in the middle of nowhere and I know I'm going to catch them fast I will keep in chase, but if I can see they're going to run me around then I break chase and carry on with my set up.
I sort of expect to lose a couple of Gens at the very start when playing Trapper because it does take me a while to set up properly especially on some maps, but then I tend to snowball a bit more with him than I do with other killers (plus it's really satisfying when someone goes in one of your random traps :) ).
-
You'd need to contact the store to get the full information on it. It looks like the type of thing that wouldn't be washable as such - it's pu foam, so something you'd wipe not wash (but that's just my personal opinion).
-
I'm going to close this, I'm pretty much flabbergasted that I've seen this thread made on our forums!
We celebrate all body types, there's no right or wrong and to insinuate otherwise is pretty offensive to many people.
-
It's one of my favourite perks in the game, it is a bit of a meme but used in the right circumstances it can be really helpful. I also run it with Inner Strength and Quick & Quiet so I'm usually in and out of lockers in a match, I really should play as Dwight for maximum memes :)
-
Please do not put links to perk packs on the forum. It's not something we can promote - changing icons is still "done at your own risk" and for that reason we won't promote it on the forums.
-
I'm closing this, I see this as a post that's just here to try to incite an argument between people and that has no relevance on our forum at all.
@a_good_player please refrain from making these types of posts in future, thank you.
-
Please try to keep this discussion on topic and civil and lay off the insults towards each other - if you are unable to do that, then move along to another discussion!
-
Doctor with his giggle.

As @madamretto said, all reports go to DBD Support ALSO an in game report has to have been made, without this the report is not valid.

Aren't you supposed to not be "x side main" as a part of the balance team? How can you make unbiased and fair changes for everyone if you play one side more than the other?
Maybe that's why survivors keep getting bad perks.
Because being unbiased in a professional capacity is completely different to your own personal choice of which side you have more enjoyment playing.
I enjoy playing survivor more - and I think you will see from my posts on this forum for example, that I advocate for fairness for both sides and I understand the frustrations from both sides. Plus Almo didn't say he didn't play Survivor, he just said he preferred to play Killer.
