I like to put traps in the places that you'd least expect them - there's nothing like the feeling when someone steps in a sneaky trap you've put and you know they're thinking "who puts a trap there".
Trapping the safe places like windows/pallets etc seems to be pretty common but I tend not to do that, cos survivors expect them so check and disarm traps etc. It's in the places where they don't expect that I get more luck with my traps, and knowing in a chase how to direct them to running that way. A lot of playing Trapper is about map knowledge.

https://discord.gg/deadbydaylight there's always people available on the Official DbD Discord as well, quite a few people would happily help you out in KYF matches, if you're unable to find people.

I don't have a problem with Corrupt Intervention when playing as a Survivor - I do totems or find an unblocked gen. The killer then only has 3 perks to play the rest of the game with, so hopefully they do get a benefit out of it early in a match and get a down whilst those gens are blocked. I think that's the whole nature of the perk.
I don't find it unfun to play against because as a Survivor you can still get gens done, still get totems done, still have a chase with the killer.
-
We wouldn't appreciate someone spamming on the forums - which is what that would effectively be and we do have rules against that, which I believe answers your question.
It also wastes a lot of our time as we deal with those reports daily.

Good to hear they are still working on it. I know the code for it would be a nightmare, but it would be nice if they could take individual killer and Survivor levels into account in MM.
Individual killer will be taken into consideration...for example if you are a god at Hillbilly but barely play Wraith your MMR score for Wraith will be lower than it is for Hillbilly, so you'd get matched with survivors with lower MMR scores as well (not brand new players though because you will still retain some MMR score, as you're not a totally new player, you would know the maps etc).
For Survivor I don't believe there will be different MMR scores per character as survivors are just skins so there's no difference between them, it's completely different to learning a killers power for example.

The save file on the PTB was taken a little while ago, so if these were purchased recently on Steam, that's the reason - the good thing is that on the Live Build everything will be as you left it.
-
These were from the Archives I believe, the older ones. They may come to the in-game store at some point in the future.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/4-5-0-ptb-feedback - direct link to the sub forum for the PTB feedback. Thank you.
-
Thanks @Hoodied I wasn't aware it wasn't visible on mobile.
-
We have a special Sub Forum set up for Bug Reports for the PTB - please can you first check to see if your bug has already been reported there, and if not add the information to a new report. Thanks (because of the set up of that section, posts are not able to be moved there).

No particular day @Chchchcheryl your progress is constantly saved each time you play. We just take the save image during the last week prior to the PTB and use that for the PTB. But nothing on the PTB saves to Live.
-
Yes, it's because your save file was taken at some point last week. When you return to the Live Build, your progress will be there as you left it.
What happens on the PTB, stays on the PTB.
-
Thanks for posting this for those that are not able to play the PTB to hear it.

Yeah to have exposed status effects work with a more power based attack could be a bit too strong - it's the same as NOED etc, these perks work on basic attacks only.
-
Pretty much yes, the Invigorated state removes any of the "pink clouds" effects as well.
The antidote cloud doesn't remove the effects from perks such a sloppy butcher or exhaustion or anything like that, it's purely an antidote to the pink cloud.

VHS Porn is going to be interesting. These add-ons make me hopeful for future add-on passes.
That's probably my favourite add-on tbh, in this new patch.

Well done for getting all those!
-
I believe this is a bug yes. It's sorta extreme right now.
-
The answer is no, she's not a minor. None of the characters in the game area.
I'm locking this, the OP never returned to the post to have a discussion, I think it's better that it's closed.
-
This is definitely a visual bug.
-
yeah bloodwebs are completely rng as to when you get perks...just because you have the T2 level, it does not mean you'll get the T3 version offered in the next bloodweb - it could even be the last perk to show.
-
Have you found every other perk on your bloodweb?
-
We do not discuss hacks/cheats on the forum and the Easy Anti Cheat does get updated regularly to prevent these players from cheating - it's a vicious circle, new cheats will always become available.

You appeal your ban via the Staff member who issued you with your ban.
You can reply on the ban ticket or by DM'ing Elemental (use the @) which is the DM for modmail.
These are the only way that you can appeal.
-
Has this only occured the one time? I've tried to reproduce this myself and had no success (gained crows inside and outside the locker and still couldn't Head On).
-
Are you still having this issue and can you provide video evidence please as I've tested this myself and had no issue with Pop?
-
Are you still having this issue as I've seen no other reports from people and have successfully been mori'd in the last few days without any visible issue?
-
Did you die in the match and were you still holding the item when you died?
-
If you are not the last person in the game, then you do get a chance to struggle if it's your first hook...the issue is the killer can't be chasing someone out and hooking you at the same time....so usually, the killer has chased someone out whilst you are slugged, then hooked you - then there's no chance of escape.
-
With or without Infectious Fright it was completely obvious that the Nurse would go straight to that generator from that hook placement - always expect BBQ on a Nurse because it's so damn good on her. You were one hit because you were injured so a pretty easy target for her, as you didn't seem to be completely map aware.
I don't agree that the Nurse is a purely designed killer, I think she's an incredible design and yes whilst the mechanics do entirely circumvent the base mechanics of the game, she does have outplay and she's pretty difficult to learn - there's a reason why she's considered the strongest killer in the game.
-
Game Designers/UI Designers/QA/Programmers - all do completely different jobs, so whilst one update is going through the other departments are working on their own thing within the game.
-
The thing with the DC penalty is that it's kept small at the beginning for those occasions when you need to DC - bugged out, irl emergency etc. It does decay over time so it's pretty easy to stack them up if you DC regularly, so it punishes those who DC regularly but is kind to those who don't...I can't see this changing.

When I first started I remember thinking that it was impossible to play killer without Enduring.
I'm still like that with Enduring, I've also got myself addicted to Brutal Strength at points...slowly weaning myself off that one.
For Survivor, I think a lot of people when they started playing (especially during 2016), Spine Chill/Prem were the go-to perks and we all played with at least one of them, often people used both at that time as well. These are perks that I've not used since, except Spine Chill for a vault build.
But the one perk that I took ages weaning myself from is Self Care, I've not used it for at least a year now but it was very hard to get used to not being healed constantly, now I often run with a medkit or something (quite often I run Inner Strength as I do totems anyway), but for sure I have to Iron Will on cos the character noises annoy me without it.
-
I have absolutely no problems with BBQ as a survivor - it's an earnt perk, it's useless if the killer doesn't hook anyone and it's also completely outplayable as the aura reading is for such a short space of time, it's also countered by lockers, faking directions etc.
Also, I dispute the fact that it would require survivors to run Kindred, in fact the opposite is true - usually survivors run Kindred to show the killer around the hook, the opposite is the case for BBQ as it actively encourages the killer to leave the hook and go after a survivor usually at a distance a way to put pressure on the map/gens. Always assume a killer has BBQ it's pretty easy to tell if they do after the first hook - you know that if the killer gets immediately into a chase at the other end of the map after hooking a survivor that it's pretty obvious BBQ is in play.
BBQ is incredibly healthy for the game!

Right now, there's only cross progression between Stadia & Steam with Switch joining that shortly.
We cannot guarantee that cross progression will come to any other platform in the future, we know it's a Community wish and it's something that is continually being worked on, but there's no guarantees of this happening.

What @TragicSolitude says is perfectly correct with regards to the issue of body blocking.
@Klakky I'm a full time Community Coordinator for bhvr, not just a moderator, moderating is part of my job role however.

@stargazer9 yes I do, I'm a full time Community Coordinator for bhvr

would i be correct in thinking that the speed boost will increase the clowns lunge range?
I believe so, don't quote me on it because I'm still checking that with the designers, but yes as far as I'm aware it does.

All status effects!? does that include Sloppy butcher, Third seal Blindness and Oblivious from stuff like Nemesis? 2.5 seconds for cloud to activate seems very long. hope we got add-on to reduce that 2.5 seconds. What an interesting PTB.
No, it removes status effects from the pink cloud only, so not exhaustion from Sprint Burst etc or Sloppy Butcher etc etc.
-
It won't remove debuffs - it only removes the effects of the purple clouds...so if someone has used Sprint Burst and is exhausted, they're not going to get Sprint Burst back for example.
-
afaik there are no plans to change Devour Hope

Honestly, BeHavior and its team have the worst ideas that anyone could have. I have about 750 hours of gameplay, and that is in the lazy times, the night with friends after work.
I never got Rank 1, always in 2, 3 or 4, and that because of the time, I can't play 24 hours to get RANK 1. And if it was difficult to achieve the achievement by returning to RANK 5 every 13th, go it is impossible to get RANK 1 in this new mode.
And that in exchange for 250,000 BP?
We can do this in about 5 or 6 games playing with "we will live forever". Who was the genius who had the brilliant idea of exchanging our sacrifice to acquire high ranks in the game in exchange for crumbs?
With every update I'm more afraid, the graphics improvements, the animations are great, the optimization is rubbish. And at the end of the day, they're messing around where they shouldn't be. Here in Brazil we have the saying: "Team that is winning we will not change". The game is still perfect, but this change will be one of those that will stab developers, and they won't even know where the stab came from.
An achievement is precisely that, something to achieve. It should not be given out quite so easily - it was only recently that the Rank Reset was changed to dropping down a colour, before that you used to drop way further and plenty of people still made it to Rank 1. It's fairly easy to get out of the lower ranks as you often double pip due to the pipping requirements at that stage of the rankings, and as matchmaking is not going to be tied to ranks any longer, you should get much fairer matches so more within your skill level.
-
I think it's a nice small buff to the perk - 15s always felt really short.

Well yes, but what I meant is that if nothing is changed to adepts, on rank 20 you won’t need 4 iri emblems
That's a good point, I didn't think of that initially. Yes, it's going to make those much easier to get due to the pipping conditions.
-
Ranks are not going to be used for Matchmaking itself - the MMR will be used for that.
The Ranks will be used for the Rank Rewards.
-
It would depend on whether it was a new killer to you.
The rank reset change won't matter greatly to adepts because they'll count on your MMR score. What will help, is if for example you don't play much Oni but want his adept, but you're normally Rank 1 so you're playing against more experienced players, now under MMR you'll be playing against players on your skill level of that particular killer.
