the pig/ghost face crouching is not another survivorΒ the amout of times i ran to them to get healed
sorry but that one made me laugh! I've often thought a crouching piggy was another survivor.

Killer - How big 32m actually is (Regarding TR)
Survivor - (Still to this day) Where/what part of the beam you need to aim a Flashlight to Blind the Killer.
yeah timings of things is pretty hard to learn, I'll agree there, it took me a while to get the timing of the flashlight down, even now I still often start it too early.
-
Walking doesn't leave scratchmarks...only running/sprinting
-
This was made very clear when the Tome/Rifts were first announced, that the outfits would be exclusive for a short time - we said a minimum of 6 months and then they will be available in the in-game store.
-
@Blueberry it depends on what you're reporting, what the ingame report button actually does is flag the match, so it shows that the match occurred - we're all aware of how easy it is to fake video names etc these days so when you report the match, the players names/id's are registered etc.
-
Sorry but the only cross progression available in game is between Stadia & Steam, with Switch joining at a future date. There's no information on if cross progression will ever come to any other platform.

They've stated they go back and watch matches for reports of hacking and even if they hadn't said that I figure it would be obvious as then there would be no reason to even have a report option if they can't go back and check. Wouldn't make any sense.
We don't have a way to see matches, what you are referring to is what people have recorded and attached to their reports.
-
This is a pretty good idea actually, it's definitely more risky to make saves from the basement so giving more points for the extra risk would be good.
I'm not sure about encouraging basement hooks though, I remember the days of IG/Agi every match (due to Sabo squads) and they weren't a whole load of fun.
-
I sort of agree that the Safety Pip isn't needed so much any more, I remember when it got introduced into the game, and how much harder it was back then to pip.
I think I would like it so that lower ranks (20-15 for example) have the safety pip, but then as you get higher up the ranks then you would lose this...however, it might all become moot with MMR anyway
-
yes that was a good RNG but there was way more that Legion could have done in those circumstances, and I will agree with the others the pallet respect really was really punishing. They also fell for a really obvious window fake at the end, so it looked like they were less experienced at the game tbh.
-
I'm not a fan of these filters, and I know that Hunt Showdown disabled the ability to use them - thinking specifically of the the Nvidia ones. I think it destroys a huge element of the game personally.
-
It's pretty much down to the individual as to whether they want to play as part of the Team or whether they want a more individual playstyle, that's the whole point of it. You have perks that can specifically help you in solo situations where you can utilise them to not really need the team support as such.

The Fog Whisperers programme is marketing @SurpriseSurprise they don't get information with regards to upcoming content etc.

Great that it is finally being worked on.
Not so great that it took a developer from another game company Tweeting about the flippancy of Almo's response to get anything done.
This is something we've clearly been working on for months, not just the past day!

What kind of aura is the best one for you? Just curious. Is it Deuteranope by any chance ?
It is indeed
-
@LordRegal Thank you, I'll make sure to check out your thread tomorrow! And I am so happy that you're excited about this, me too!
-
We've really got to stop doing this!
πππππ

I can't share too much I'm afraid, only what we've disclosed so far @Mew
-
No, MMR is not currently active.
-
Thanks for putting the screenshots here @AhoyWolf I was busy with the stream so didn't get a chance.
It's so exciting that this is finally coming!

I legitimately do not think it matters when it comes out. The mere fact that it's being worked on is such good news to so many people. One of my buddies is colorblind and this has meant the world to him.
If you could, tell the team he and I said thank you :)
I'm colourblind myself, so yeah I'm super hyped

As someone who's been vying for this for absolute ages...I'm extremely happy on the whole. Admittedly the filters aren't quite what I would like over customization of the auras and scratchmarks myself (bright blue would be far easier to see overall for me), but I'm certainly willing to take what they're giving. I'll unfortunately need to decide between the two types of colorblindness I have though...I like the protanope auras more but the deuteranope scratchmarks more on the WIP images...
Still, _thank you_ BHVR for addressing the colorblind part of your community. Especially with the incoming HUD, the overuse of red for critical information was going to kill the game for me, since injured survivors flashing red was almost impossible for me to see. I am over the moon that this feature is coming and cannot thank you enough. I only wish it hadn't taken four and a half years to get it.
Please remember it's still a WIP - as you know I'm colourblind myself so you can rest assured the feedback is going through
-
I'm closing this, you're free to discuss the colourblind mode of course - it's pretty exciting and we're happy to finally be able to share something about this.
But the personal attacks on one of the Developers is not going to happen here.
-
This is still a work in progress, we're showing what is currently being worked on...it will be available when it's ready, no set date as of yet.
-
We do not discuss bans on the forum from ANY platform, Twitch has it's own way of appealing your ban.

Maybe this is to balance out her insanely loud scream when she gets hooked π
ngl that was one of my first thoughts as well...
-
There are bug reports in concerning challenges connected with the basements - none seem to be working right now.
-
When playing survivor I would do this if the killer is returning to the hook to get me - at least I have a chance to get away after I've used DS, it's better than taking the risk of being slugged for the whole of the DS timer.
-
Mary's Letter is the same as the others - it's the realm that's mentioned in the offering. Silent Hill is the Realm.

@1Jaspis1 I'm sending you a DM on here, to get some information from you about this.

200 IQ build: Resilience and Spine Chill to outspeed the Tinkerer killer
I'm gonna try this out
Also super fast vaults, it's my current favourite build - the vault speed is so handy, it's definitely saved my butt on more than one occasion.
-
No @valvarez4 I don't because you can finish the gen, it's not easy...but so many people just chill out on gens and don't pay the slightest attention to their surroundings, that's where the problems lie.
-
Yes, the PTB was closed since Monday so I left the sub forums open for a couple of days afterwards and closed them yesterday later in the day. Most of the feedback has already been given and it's now mostly things on repeat.
-
I really don't see too much problem with Tinkerer, you pretty much know when the killer is running it after the first gen so you're easily prepared for it and aware of it. Yes it's strong and I always expect high mobility killers in particular to be running it - but you can see them coming, it's about positioning and map awareness for the most part.
I've been running Reslience whilst playing this morning and that's beaten Tinkerer each and every time as I've got the gen finished before the killer has got to me. So there are counters.
Yes the killer is going to find you most likely and a good chase is going to happen, but I like chases that's the fun part of DbD.
-
Please make sure you are recording the time you are held hostage like this, then use the in-game report feature to report the player, then send the video evidence to support here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000942011
This is taking the game hostage as the killer is not allowing you to play the game - it's irrespective of the other players in the match!
-
Because they're part of a larger team - the Design Team, and they all work as a team, it's not one or two people making the decisions.
-
We actually just tweeted about this a short while ago, to show that the next Tome will be available soon.
-
No you can't. The only Cross Progression is between Steam & Stadia, with Switch coming soon, no other platforms have been confirmed.
-
The Design team is already a decent size and they're all working on many areas, also, I'd say that DbD is probably in it's best state than it's ever been in concerning balance.
-
There are many teams working on DbD, and the Design team who work on new content, reworking current content, balance etc are not connected with those that work on cosmetics, so it's two completely different teams and the work of one has nothing to do with the work of the other.

It was a bummer, I too had never seen it before. I was hoping for a medkit because it was a really fun game against a nurse. I love playing against Nurse because when they are a terrible killer it is so funny and when you run up against a really good nurse it is truly terrifying and action packed.
Yeah I can imagine being bummed about it, must admit though...I'm having a bit of a giggle at imagining how I'd react if it were me.
-
I must admit I've not seen that before! It's made me laugh, as I can imagine what I'd be like in game if it happened to me, especially as I run Plunderers a lot!

Search box on this site is broken. It always shows patch note when I try to search for something. Fix it before you say "search for same issues".
It's not broken, the Patch Notes etc are the first posts to show but after those, then come other posts.

A lot of people who don't speak English use the discussion platforms in their own language - Facebook groups are hugely popular for example. That's most likely why the International Forum as well as the Spanish/Italian ones are quieter as a result.
So sorry, but English in many areas of Europe is not so much spoken as you seem to think - I know plenty of non English speakers, so they should not be at a disadvantage, nor should players be forced into speaking a language that they're not comfortable with - that's why voice chat should not be used for game balance.
