Hi, just want to confirm that this isn't intentional - have it listed down as a bug right now.
-
Hi, if you think you have encountered a bug please report in the Bug Report section where the team will be able to take a look at it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs thank you.
-
The map is currently back on the public build, but the offering is disabled...this is whilst we keep an eye on it for stability.
-
We are aware of this issue and it's actively being investigated - I'd hold off on contacting Support right now, until we know a bit more.
-
We have notified the team about this, I don't have more information than that right now I'm afraid.

I think i can get an ssd for my xbox one s, wonder if that woukd fix it 🤔
I can't advise that, cos I don't even know if that is the issue - it's what I suspect is the issue and some of the videos I've seen seem to confirm that - which I have passed on to the team to investigate. Also not sure about external drives because there might be input lag, there's no way would I tell you to go and spend money on something that might/might not help to fix the issue for you.
-
@Razorbeam I will definitely pass on the feedback, and don't worry I don't think it's personally aimed at me. It's pretty natural that because my job is to be here, that I will take the brunt of people's frustrations and I don't take it personally.
The reason that we've put fps/performance issues because that covers the whole issue as it seems to be a few issues happening at once not just one specific issue. I do understand what you mean though and I completely understand your frustration.
-
I'm sorry but I'm going to close this thread, I never thought I would see complaints about something that was changed to assist our players who had issues with being able to spam buttons due to health issues.
I will re-iterate, this was a QoL change for accessibility reasons...not a buff or a nerf, and not intended to be a buff or a nerf either.

That's interesting, listening to the sounds the HDD in my PS4 is making I'm quite convinced the issue is something to do with how it's accessing data as it plays, I'd be very interested to hear of anyone having these same issues on a SSD.
That's actually what I'm suspecting also, so it's interesting seeing you post that.
I used to have issues on PC - playing as a Survivor I'd get a brief freeze once all gens were completed and the killer had NOED. My friend had the issue that he'd have a brief freeze when he reached bloodlust 1 - we both switched to SSD's and the issue stopped.

Yeah I'm assuming the clouds needs to touch the ground in order to actually work, should be an easy fix
I got hit directly with the gas bottle and it did apply the hindered effect to me - so it might not be as simple as the gas bottles touching the ground - we can but hope though!

500%? I thought they said they didn't stack?
The Anniversary Cakes do stack, we did confirm this last week.
-
This happened earlier and I was discussing with another user - it seems quite random though to when you are slowed as a survivor and when you are not - stairs did seem to be an issue as my character clearly yelled out, but didn't get the hindered effect.
-
Whilst I completely understand your frustration - we have acknowledged the performance issues and advised that it's being worked on. It's not something that's being ignored. Sadly, it's not an easy fix and whilst small fixes have been implemented up to know (including today's hotfix which should have resolved the "out of memory" issue), we are aware that other fixes need to be done and the team is working on these.
-
As far as I'm aware nothing was changed with this patch that should have caused this to happen (screen going dark I'm referring to). And it seems a pretty isolated case as nobody else has reported that, as yet at least. Can you please make a bug report about this - as it's entirely different to the fps drops/freezes that we've had reports about.
If you have video available that would help greatly to show the issue. Thank you.
-
@WdR I'm hearing that it's fixed whilst the survivor is still - are you saying that it's not fixed if the survivor is running?
And is there any chance you can grab me a video so that I can show that? I do appreciate it if you can, I know it's a big ask
-
@Zeus if you find any issues with it, please let me know - thank you!
-
You need to download the latest patch that was released 30 minutes ago. You might need to restart Steam completely or on Console, power down and then restart.
-
I believe yes it is fixed - but it was not added to the patch notes. I will take care of that a little later.
-
We are aware of this, I'm just checking on it for you right now.
-
@loopsahoy that would be brilliant, thank you. Please feel free to tag me.
And enjoy the swimming!
-
From what I can see, I'm hoping that the fps will have increased but the quality is lower. I'm waiting to hear feedback from our players though.

This bugfix was awful. lmao
One bugfix actually straight nerfed Nemesis.
- "Fixed an issue that could cause Nemesis's Tentacle strike to hit the Survivor through some of the windows and main buildings."
This isn't a nerf, it's hitting through windows that are not meant to be hit through - the boarded up windows etc. It's not regular windows that you can vault through.
-
Trying to tell a story from a screenshot isn't conclusive - this post could be about hard camping, it could be about teaming (doubtful because Jeff is on the first hook) it could be about survivors not helping. Without more clarification than that it's hard to tell what's going on.
Teaming - this is reportable, video evidence would be required (as you can see, screenshot evidence is far from conclusive)
Camping - not reportable
Team mates not saving/helping - not reportable, a survivor can play selfishly if they desire
Those are pretty much the scenarios that I can tell from the screenshots/post.
-
This is a known bug.
-
There is a bug report in on this already, please upvote and add any pertinent information to the report. Thank you.
-
The details with Switch - PC cross progression are still being ironed out, we've not confirmed if cross progression will happen on any other platform - it's something that's known to be a massive community wish so it's something we will continue to work on.
-
I can't get to grips with her at all, she's sadly not the character for me, as much as I'd love to play her. I struggle a lot, plus I don't get the time to put into her as much as I would need to.
-
Ghostface, I dunno why, but everytime I play him I seem to have fun with him.

Is that confirmed facts or just your assumption? Pretty sure I haven’t read that though I may very well have forgotten about it
What @ChurchofPig has said is correct. That's what referred to as "loss of progress" in this case, it means your account is reverted to the original state it was when it was initially linked.
-
Ohhhhh @TheMadCat I just had a look at that, it looks pretty nice. Hope it's exactly as you want it to be!
-
Ohhh I've had this, I think it was one of the timed ones and I was 1s off at the end of the match! :)
-
As we have stated, we are working with GaymerX so that when a character is introduced or confirmed to be LGBTIA+ it will be done correctly and sensitively. Until there is anything confirmed by us, anything is pure speculation.
-
I can't share anything that's not already public knowledge I'm afraid. We did say in our Anniversary Stream that the key rework would be with the Mori rework and I cannot offer any further information than that at this time I'm afraid.

Something I don't see being pointed out. They very clearly said, "During the Anniversary Event." Does that mean the leaks that they wouldn't stack are all about after the event ends?
They will still stack after the Event ends
-
It's an interesting idea, but wouldn't that effectively mean it wouldn't really be DbD then?
The whole premise of DbD from the survivor side is that they need to complete gens to escape, that's effectively their "win" condition - removing that what else would they do whilst someone is being chased etc? Having another objective to replace Gens doesn't seem very worthwhile if it doesn't give them something to work for - as it is Gens have to be done to escape, which is what encourages survivors to complete generators.
A lot of people don't enjoy killer so much because it's the solo experience, regardless of the pressure - and some players love playing killer for those same reasons. And effectively, the objective for killer won't change because the game is now still based around how many hooks the killer has effectively, and I think you will still have killers who want to catch the first survivor and stand there until they die - I don't think adjusting their objective will solve that.
-
Thank you! I will pass that along to the team <3
-
I was doing it! LOL

Was this changed after the backlash?
Nope, nothing changed on our end
-
There's been a lot of misconception flying around the last few days, which I'm now able to address:
The Anniversary Cakes WILL STACK - the more players that offer them, the more delicious (and much needed) BP can be gained.
There's also a secret Personal effect to the offerings - but that one you're going to have to find out for yourselves during the event which starts on the 30th June!
-
That's a weird one, it must surely be something in your OBS settings...on the rare occasions that I stream I tend to have OBS open for ages before I actually open a game but I used the most basic settings on OBS - 720p/60fps for example, and I've switched off Windows Game Mode as that caused issues for me.
-
yes, keys do not require any charges in order to be able to open the hatch...the charges relate to the other benefits of the item just not the hatch opening.

At least that´d be more honest for everybody. As survivors approach the hook they should be able to see the burnfire and the tent close to a sign that says " Camping resort. Unhook is not allowed".
I actually just want marshmallows now!
-
Killers are defined as camping when they remain near a hooked survivor, as you know. How the expression came into games is probably because of the expression "set up camp" which doesn't necessarily refer to tents, just that it's staying in one place for a short period of time - it's been called that way since the beginning of the game, nothing to do with campsites sadly, although I'd love to see killers sit there and roast marshmallows :)
-
That does sound like that survivor had a key that they used, then the hatch closed naturally after them (that doesn't start EGC, only if the Killer closes the hatch). Then the hatch opened naturally again when the last survivor remained.

@MandyTalk Thanks for your answer! I'll definitvely look into SteelSeries. I do hope they have 60% or 65% keyboard—I prefer my keyboard being small. : )
There is definitely one of them that doesn't have the numberpad on the side which makes the keyboard smaller -
https://steelseries.com/gaming-keyboards/apex-pro-tkl this one for example.

It definitely did not work that way in the past! Empathy was always a hard counter to knockout, and Better Together / Kindred / Bond should work exactly the same. Also keep in mind, there is no Undetectable for survivors (except through survivor perks like Distortion and Off the record, and that does only work against killer auras), so an aura perk should always show you the respective auras as long as you are not under Blindness debuff.
Edit: Some more clarification: Knockout prevents you from seeing red survivor auras from a certain distance. Being on a hook and survivor perks give you a yellow aura, which should not be prevented by the perk. The only means to hide this would be Blindness debuff. /Edit
I have the fealing the devs messed up the aura reveal when they reworked the perk. It might even be intended, but then it should be stated as such in the perk description. @Almo @MandyTalk Do you have any info whether this was changed intentionally?
This is not a bug, but by design. Knock Out does indeed block the aura's of perks such as Empathy.
-
I believe you should have received a refund of Auric Cells for this - if you've not received that, please contact Support and they will be able to confirm, as they have your account information, which we do not have on this forum.

I'm a bit of a fan of mechanical keyboards for gaming I must admit. And I've got used to them for writing now, although that did take me a bit longer and I think I did lost a bit of typing speed when using it compared to the chicklet keyboard that I used to use. There's so many choices of switches and some of them do work really well with typing, Logitech & SteelSeries do seem to have some decent ones, and I agree about SteelSeries, they're a personal favourite of mine.

That feeling at the start of a match when no one has been hit by the Killer. I start looking around for a creepy Myers or, I'm waiting to step on a trap.
Most of the Horror bleeds away after you play this game for a while but, that eerie silence followed by Myers staring at you still gets me sometimes. That's when I'm like, "Oh #########!"
Or a Ghostface and you don't realise in time...
