  • I think the old system worked better

Now as survivor to pip you have to play stupid
And as killer to pip you hope they don't genrush too fast

Overall they made pip too easy but with restrictions on how you should play to pip regardless on what you did or ended the match

    Flawed

Could have an extra perk that does that. You could pair it with balanced landing.

    No

Okay explain to my why you wouldn't want a separate perk that reduced the sound of falling? I think it would be extremely handy. Or do you not have anything productive to add to the discussion?

You're asking me why we don't need a whole separate perk to only reduce landing sounds?

calm spirit would be good since helps against doc and clown so yeah.

Would make more sense since balance landing already nullifies stun after fall even while exhausted

@Orion Of course, the minute I say, "I never get messaged" - I immediately get salty survivors calling me terrible and camping. I got 4k on a SWF group and they only managed 1 generator. A.) I had BBQ Chill so I would never camp, B.) If I was camping, they should have gotten at least 3 generators.

If you play Killer, you will get messages like that, eventually. It's only a matter of time.

I was playing nurse with insidious and NOED. I blinked behind the exit gates and wait for them to gen rush me so one of the victims would open it. The moment the gate open, a hopeless meg ran to me and I surprised her.

    "Nice crutch NOED"
"Lol, it's just a game. Chill out."
People are naturally more hostile towards nurse players because of how ball busting she is for people that don’t know when to split up and survive individually. I’d actually argue that nurse’s idolization comes from her most likely unintentional ability to cripple teams that decide to stick together, especially quickly. And she’s able to catch up as well as long as she is paying attention.
I don't like NOED because it's a crutch but I was doing something I seen on YouTube for fun lol.
Its a crutch if you won't do totems to counter it. So even if there is a counter its a crutch because you're lazy. I like this logic

By that almost anything is a crutch

No you're asking something different since you can hhave the spoon if you want but no you want the spoon AND the fork

Claudette is free at lvl 1 with that so yoi just want the spoon to be given to everyone regardless

@Malakir Imagine playing mortal kombat and you had to have had 1 week of playtime to block any damage or to kick your opponent. That's what it is. Exactly like that.
Its not, really bad example. You are asking to have a 20hit combo smashing one button instead of working on it to get rewards on online matches

    This example fit more
  • I don't think Balanced Landing needs more buffs, it does it's job well.

It would be cool to see Calm Spirit get that though. It would allow the perk to do more than just counter Doc(let's be honest, crows mean jack ######### these days).
    You read my mind

I don't see why this is such a divisive issue. It takes way too long for new players to be able to heal. They shouldn't need to grind med kits just to be able to be healed. It is easier for players able to heal themselves because of having self care.

I am listening Feng min avatar person but I don't see it as fair. Its a barrier to new players which is infuriating and some don't want to play anymore because the early grind is too much.

    Good, less Minecraft players around

In every game, offline or online, I had to work through it to get rewarded. Not given for free at the start

Actually even Minecraft have the sad concept so.. Actually no game in existence so this. Creative modes aside
  • Only if killers can’t see survivors items being brought in
    That's cute
You think its the same, so cute
  • AshleyWB said:
This isn't a change for us older players, it's for the new players coming in and giving dbd a try out. We need to make sure as a community they can be able to heal reasonably quickly into their dbd lifetime.
    OK now I'm sure you're a troll

    6/10
  • AshleyWB said:
You shouldn't be forced to play Claudette if you want to heal. Thats my point. You could bring a med kit but it's a whole lot easier for old players to heal than it is for new players.

I am a complete no life at this game and It irritates me how hard of a time new players have with having access to the actual important survival mechanics this game has.
I know you love ignoring who answers you but I explained why this would be pretty dumb. Survivors won't every bring a med kit unless its an Insta heal and you would give a free slot for survivors so they will actually have 5 slots

Take left 4 dead for example, there you can't heal uunless you have a med kit. Kinda the same thing

I agree the grinding I tedious but your motivations are silly, me players need to learn, on of the reasons you cant derank past 15. A game shouldnt be easy since the start, is the core concept of a videogame get better and learn. You just wanna land another help to every survivors giving 5 slots. No
  • Post It in the bug section. If you have a screen please post that too describing the situation in detail. Location, perks, where it landed etc if you know it
  • AshleyWB said:
With healing being such a widespread mechanic in the game. It is only fair that this mechanic can be done for all survivors across the board.

Other perks are not part of basic survival so they wouldn't be needed for new players.

It seems like in design when this game released. Claudette was meant to be a healing class however each survivor nowadays is just a reskin of another. It doesn't fit anymore this game had changed so much since then. I think this is a balance change needed for new players to be able to get hooked playing dbd.
No. I've explained it twice so read it up

Your balance thoughts are flawed. I started few months ago, on the BBQ event, never felt I needed this change
  • AshleyWB said:
@ReneAensland A week just to be able to heal. That is exactly what I mean.
First impressions of a game is important and being slapped acrossed the face being told you will lose horribly as soon as you load into a game is not welcoming to newbies.
I answered you before about it but if you need an example is like asking to introduce in a fighting game and autocombo that everybody use it but its fairly hard to master just smashing one button

Would be unfair for the older players. Especially in this case where you actually give on free slot to survivors and make it even worse for killers. Just use Claudette at level one

When I started I played feng cuz I couldn't skill check properly and now I main her anyway, if I needed heal I took a med kit
  • I can make the same argument with any perk

Claudette I free and have self cared llvl1
She's the most camo friendly (she's secretly solid snake)

I agree grinding is tedious but as said I can make this argument for any perk

You wanna attract more players but penalizing the old ones with these changes. In any pvp game you have to learn the game to improve, you can't give everything to everyone since the start ( even if as said Claudette have it lvl1)
  • How about instead of attacking a bare bone and unfun mechanic, we build upon it. I think it goes without saying that everyone pretty much hates the current mechanic of camping and tunnelong. It may help new killers and to secure points but comes across as very inactive and not enjoyable. So lets changed that mechanic and actually build up on it and turn it into a minigame of itself something that's actually fun and engaging for both sides something that requires skill. Stop asking for safety and lets make it better on both sides.
We should work on incentives to leave the hook but devs prefer punishing it like the new changes you can see in the ptb, nerfing the incentives to leave the hook and punish these behaviors with BT buffs.

Soon these things would be even more common. instead of adding bonus on fresh hooks and punish farming survivors they do the opposite
  • Revert BT and deep wound would benlike BT state, the difference if you're in chase it would get down 50% slower than usual.
Power: if you get hit you have to mend but still have a debuff on actions, to recover from it you need someone else to heal you the state even after you mend yourself
Additional attacks would decrease the wound state less than it is now for the 50% deplete change on the wound change
The stun would stay the same (double stun) but can be reduced slightly with certain add ons

That's it. Just by that would be a mid/mid high tier killer
Bond would have a little push to the meta
Med kits would be used more often as well as other exhaustion perks like lithe or balance to get an advantage when he's stunned
  • What hold stealth play?

Emblem system that require you to do certain actions and punish who don't get chased but do gens and stay hidden

You have to fill every category to pip, at least a little so an egoistic stealth player like me get punished

Same for killers but for other categories

The following videos were not made to create harm to any killer. I used precaution when recorded these time ago.
    Video 1:
    Video 2:

These videos were between rank 9-8. At higher ranks the loops I took and some things I did wouldn't work as much as worked here since I'm pretty bad as looper and more of a stealthy player, still usable as example how to get rid of a killer making him switch target. The difference between here and higher ranks are:
killers won't lose you that easily, would mind game more and respect pallets less
For survivors: gens would be done faster, loopers are way stronger than I have shown on these videos and I would do more gen and be more stealthy

The point of the examples is show how almost totally ignoring survivors and actually using them as a bait would lead you to survive more often. At high ranks if you would ever meet me, I'm the one who would flip the finger if you are in a hook to save myself if it means taking the risk to die. Unless its lower ranks like these were I was just having fun with the killer

Thanks for that. Yeah I can use other survivors as baif, I always take Bond ;) though it's only a ladt resort.

I appriciate the advice but don't think it will help me. You see how fast the David went down in your second video? Thats what happens in my games. With Myers he normally pops his tier 3 like 30 seconds into the game and downs 2 people at once. The team never recovers from that snowball. I really wish I was joking but thats actually what happens. If he doesnt down 2 immediately then he puts 1 on the hook and another idiot runs in for the unhook against a tier 3 Myers and now there's 2 hooked survivors. Doesn't take long for the third guy to go down either.

I've tried rushing gens and getting the hatch but that becomes so slow paced and boring doing it time and time again.

So then I tried running borrowed time and stuff and unhooking but these people can't defend themselves.

I"m only going to play with friends from now on. I mean I could try finding the killer and looping them but I'm like you, I prefer stealth over looping, and I probably wouldn't last too long because I get put with people from eastern europe a lot and they lag like hell.

I mean I'd do it if I knew i could depend on other people to rush gens while I get the killers attention but as im running I can see my teams auras with Bond, theres always a claudette hiding in the grass despite the killer not chasing her, there's a Nea who keeps failing skillchecks so her gen goes nowhere, and then you go down, and you finally see the third aura.....it's a Claudette hiding away st the very edge of the map hoping everyone dies so she can have the hatch.

    I cba with all that.
Everything you said is very true, that's why I abuse them in that way. I already know they can't loop even bad killer like those two. Most of them can't but I think its mostly for the flawed rank system and because people don't really try to survive, maybe out of boredom to just do gens and leave in 5 minutes or less

Go on and play with friends if would make I more enjoyable, its up to you but still, isn't the killer fault if survivors are bad af

That's why i hate ranked system, its flawed and dumb for both sides to rank up. People have to play stupid or would get punished for not interacting with the killer and this one is punished if the ggens pops which you can't do much about in high rank since if you chase one guy gens will pop regardless

I prefer the old system to be honest, have you a cap to reach top pip but was up to you how to play the match, not forced to do certain actions or you are gonna lose regardless of you survive or not if you kill or not
  • i use BT all the time even when solo just because and this seems like its going to cause alot of hate. it doesnt seem like a OP change but i guess it encourages to not tunnel.

So you have an entire 3rd hp just because your teammate did a bad save? So you can loop me with no threat as long as I am chasing you? Definitely not OP
Forgot you don't need med kits or self care

So, if most killers just sit around the hook, why did they find enough of an outcry to nerf BBQ & Chili into the ground in the PTB? Surely if most killers face-camped, there'd be no need for this and the many more aura reading nerfs in the PTB. Why are there 300+ posts per day lamenting "tunneling" (also known as killers killing effeciently)? One can either camp or "tunnel"... it's one or the other. Why did the devs implement an emblem nerf to any killer staying within a certain distance of the hook? No reason to read auras while staring a survivor in the mug and having a sip of tea on Easy Street, is there? I may get camped as a survivor 1 out of every 10-15 games, and that's being gracious. I camp as killer on the rare occasion when it would actually benefit me as killer (extremely rare situations, since any killer worth their salt already knows camping is most often wasting valuable time and pressure) or if a survivor has marked off a personal checklist of toxicity (again, extremely rare). Unless you have the worst random match-ups against the worst killers ever, you're not facing camping situations half as often as you often let on.

Sabotaging one hook then later having a person being able to instantly break one as a reward for mistakes (getting caught) can neuter an area of certain maps given standard hook placement, making it a safe haven with free escapes for a time.

Please, explain how "most killers" should "properly" play to meet your core standards. What's the proper killer etiquette all of these killers with which you interact are messing up?

Can I copy paste your post (referencing to this thread and to you) for future discussions? Would save me a lot of time explaining some people how things works

Which idea was this you keep referring to?

And no my point was pallets are easier. Maybe its density rather than quantity but it doesn't matter because they ARE easier to deal with now. You saying its density rather than quantity in no way nullifies that argument.

The idea of slowing down sacrifice speed when the Killer is within a certain radius of the hook.

Looping has not changed either, as many streamers have already shown.

Depends really. Tbh I've seen the pallet density helped me a lot, now I see way less dead zones and I'm able to find another pallet pretty easy. At least I have to take to account that other survivors might have wasted them but vaults still a thing as jungle gyms

Still finding killer way more stressful and difficult to play compared to survivor where I play mostly with YouTube open, even while recording the videos I just posted I think. As killer in the other hand I have to wear headphones and be careful to every sound since the ######### FoV that killers have

Pallet density its actually a good thing for survivors, opens up to way more escapes if used well and not wasted. Anyway we are going kinda off topic

So on your list where does balance begin and end for you?

For me it's between high tier to mid high tier. I think the top tier feels a bit cheap but killers below that feel like they can't win every scenario.

Same for me. even if more on high tier side. Billy is actually fine, I won't change much about it while Nurse might feel unbalanced but stealth would destroy her if done right. She might feel cheap when you play against her but that's actually how you would feel playing Trapper against good survivors so, mh

Before touching Nurse or even Billy to some extent I would look it up the map designs, maybe even take off the RNG on almost everything and redo every map with a good design. What I mean, take the map as they are, change some things like reducing the size or what not, put vaults and pallets in strategic points so there are few safe pallets for newbies but most of them can be mind gamed by either side. As survivor or killer mind game the opponent is so satisfying I would incentive this aspect.

So you would have nice chances to catch survivors or evade and/or hide, only then I would touch high tier Killers. Before that if I was a dev, I won't touch anything but low mid-low tier buffing them

At the current stat of the game, the killer NEEDS the survivor to make mistakes.
But now the mistakes aka bad plays of the survivor get more and more covered up by game mechanics.
That's why I am strongly opposing any further safety nets and training wheels.
A group of survivor that play smart, even without voice com or perks- can wreck any killer.

Yes this happens so much. It would be nice to have kindred but then that becomes another mandatory perk. Plus when I have taken it, it doesn't even seem to make a difference most of the time lol

@Wolf74 pallet changes are a myth?

I watched a video of footage from around a year sgo last night. It was absolutely insane the amount of pallets the guy had to get through. With pallet vaccum gone and pallet changes killer has never been easier. Don't believe me? Go watch some old footage yourself. Pallets are definitely more spread out now.

You said there were fewer pallets; not that they were more spread out. "Fewer pallets" is a Survivor myth.

Omg are you serious? You're going to try and pick little details like that and pretend theres a difference?

Pallets are more spread out because there is less. Or do you think that before there was more or the same amount amount of pallets, but to be less spread out they would had to have all been on one side of the map?

What is it with killer mains and conspiracy theories? I get that not every game is going to be easy but the mental gymnastics you guys go through to try and explain the problem is nuts.

Go watch clips of the game from a year ago. It's very different.

Tbh I've made some research about pallets because a stubborn idiot (let's not say who) pretended in some maps there is 6 pallets in total

Now, yeah the game was very different, now every map has almost no dead zone unless other survivors used a pallet

Pallet has been reduced by 1, the minimum amount is 15 per map, which rarely occur to be that few. Yes, vault changes were dumb af, I hated that change because is a lazy fix for maps flawed design
Heal change its fine, I don't get bothered at all by it, at least normal med kits have a purpose

Many of these changes on survivors were weird, like the vault one that was dumb for the reason I explained but these things doesn't really help killers problems most of the time but just make survivors feel taken as escape goat so devs can actually introduce a really fked up change like the BT change and wounds, aura blocking etc that's coming on the next patch.

Its a never ending cycle, nerf a little then rebuff a lot while some changes can hurt even killers (Vault changes to the Clown for example)
Still, pallets are actually pretty fair right now, some spots still way too safe and I think rng in this game is really bad, for totem spawns which is laughable to safe pallets with no mind game potential aswel as vault changes to fix flawed map designs

i used to do that the 2 gens and hatch. Still do but it's soooo boring now. Thats all every game came down to. Me sneaking around for 10 mins trying to find the hatch.

Gets even worse when killers slug, and then you have some survivors who will crawl to you ratting out your location.

On top of that if the killer finds the hatch first they'll cause a hatch standoff. Or just stand on the hatch entirely.

When the game comes down to that it isn't worth playing anymore. Even in a best case scenario where I get the hatch its still an extremely dull endgame due to the above reasons. Survivor outside of SWF is just not an enjoyable game and I'm done with it.

    @Wolf74

God what is it with you? Killers are ALWAYS perfect in your eyes, they can do no wrong!

The survivors are stupid to run for the unhook yes but its the killers fault for not leaving the hook in the first place.

But god forbid these people want to unhook someone and help them enjoy the game. I can see why you play killer now, you clearly lack any kind of empathy for other people.

Lets not forget that because lf how the stupid system works survivors actually LOSE points when another survivor is hooked. The only way they can earn this back is by unhooking.

So no pal, it's the killers who are toxic. Theu sit there refusing to put any effort into the game and even if survivors rush gens they can't pip due to losing benevolence points and getting no evader points.

Keep defending it though. Really showing your true colours.

Then switch it up. End game sucks in general, it needs a rework for both sides, for now is just flawed

I'll stick playing mostly survivor since its easier for me and I love Feng so damn much. Still, maybe you're just burnt out. I haven't seen many Stand offs lately and actually improving escaping way more getting more BP than the killer more often

When I'll upload the video I can show you what I mean by just playing abusing your mates in a way or another. for now I think you should play killer and look how solos play in that prospective

Still, my idea won't change much. I think on of the problems is how easy bad survivors can climb (me included to some extent) and that lead in bad experiences for others

    Yes please upload the video.

Personally I'm fed up of sitting holding M1 uninterrupted then having to sneak around for 5 mins to look for a hatch and end up having a 10 minute standoff to get it. I'm sick of having to either wait for the other guy to bleed out becauzd the killer is following so i cant even heal him or having to run because hes crawling to show the killer my location.

Im honestly done with survivor. I'm pissed off because I bought cosmetics for Feng and now I can't use them but survivor outside of SWF is just a bad game in general in ny opinion. It used to be fun but this weekend really sucked the fun out of it.

Its funny when you click their steam profiles though. People have left comments and its just a wall of "-rep camper" all over it. If we had the ability to see that befofe the game then I'd have lobby dodged.

Okay dude, Would take a little bit since my pc is kinda ######### and take a while rendering etc. Its a bit old footages but shows how you can just abuse the killer giving a lot of time to the others do gens and in the other one how to make escapes even doing few gens if you choose wisely. As said I'm not a good player like many others are but like in 10 games I survive more than 5 on average. Often 3 games in a row i'm fine while the next we get 1 and a half gen and die. Happens, survivors ain't that smart sometimes and I really need to unlock bond but I'm afraid to cringe even more since when I'm on hook I see dwight mains in lockers 24/7

Edit: anyway wolf isn't wrong. I play spirit most of the time and I leave the hook to apply pressure, the thing is often I see super altruistic people insta save the guy not giving me even the time to phase away.. At red ranks. Ofc I'm gonna take down the guy and chase the farmer, even then I get called camper when I the farmer the problem

    Exactly.
But people like Crusader want gamemechanics to protect survivor doing stupid plays.
And so many survivor player complain about this, that the Devs start to cave in.
Exhaustion relief from a rusty hook through the shoulder.
Invulnerability against attacks "until you are in control again".
Next is the BT buff coming up.
Tons of mechanics that will encourage the survivor to do bad plays and feed the camper, making camping even more viable than it is.
IF the guy gets so many buffs after he got unhooked, maybe it's better to make sure that does NOT happen.
But survivor player call that logic "toxic".
And they are so stubborn and blind that any other solution is bad.
Why not give permanent debuffs to action speed for each hook the survivor takes?
THAT would be a good reason to leave, because that survivor already got weaker and the killer would benefit more from hooking another one.
But that is not even seen as an option, because it would be a debuff to survivor.

I know but you and crusader are going waaay too harsh on comments. Sounds hypocrite since I did it too on Crusader before, he knows well about it. Still, I even made a thread about the new buffs knowing after the patch a camper fest would happen

I'm so close to restart my youtube channel just to talk about DbD and how bad and good has this game. Because I love this game and wanna see it improve.

Anyway buff survivors or buff killer randomly is bad, like the next patch is utterly dumb, wound state that won't decrease, even in some extent, just to make chases 24/7 with no hooks in the sake of "fun", or at least what the devs think is fun for them. Bad plays endorsed by these changes, bad mentality of not adapting and pointing out the big bad guy instead of your team mate that's farming you and so on

Survivors NEED stuff to protect themselves from the killer but I think also from randoms too. I play a lot of survivor compared to killer but I love both sides equally, what I've noticed is being survivor is frustrating only by other survivors. The rare occasions I get camped, I'm not frustrated to be camped, I'm frustrated to see 3 people crouching around the hook doing nothing. Farming me or body blocking me even by mistake.
As Killer ofc i'm gonna go for the injured one, its the smart decision, even just slug him and chase the savior since the guy is on the floor and won't do much forcing one of the two remaining to come and save the guy on the ground while I apply pressure on the other and just by that 3 people are off the gens.

Even doing that some survivors would call you camper even if its their own team mate that did a bad play, a lot of time I tried to explain this, via msgs after receiving hate mails, even by voice coms after the game explaining these things to them but many people won't understand. The crusader now might just be burned out by several bad experiences and might trying to point to an escape goat, its what people do in every occasion not only in a videogame. Still, as a community we should stop pointing out to each other and actually be loud enough and make devs listen

  • @Malakir

When the game comes down to that it isn't worth playing anymore. Even in a best case scenario where I get the hatch its still an extremely dull endgame due to the above reasons. Survivor outside of SWF is just not an enjoyable game and I'm done with it.

    @Wolf74

One of many reasons why I play survivor in a bitchy way
  • Malakir said:
Since your OP was chill I would answer in the same manner

I play mostly egoist I do maybe that's why I survived fairly enough. I do gens 24/7 unless I know 100% he's out of the book and even then I might stick to it missing a skill check on purpose to have his attention like 'hey, I'm gen rushing, come!'

BT its fine, I never used it aside for few games with randoms who invited me in a party chat and we did some games. That BT gave enough time to the guy take a hit, run straight to the exit gates and billy ended up with 0k since after he hit once the guy he can run and I can fake on additional damage because I'll body block the killer. Happened some times during my swf experience

While I play alone I just gen rush and take the guy to a tour to pallet town, even if I suck at looping I can manage to waste some time. Between 30s and 1+min which is equal at on gen. the problems with tunneling I've seen come from the survivor side, making dumb saves when the guy is around (even warning them spamming the koebe) or Insta unhooks

Rarely I see face camps and tunneling is mostly caused by my fellow mates. I have to admit I have improved my chase skills for that reason, still a problem I have with survivors tho, no much about killer. One of the reasons why I run adrenaline and urban evasion, the first to run like hell when unhooked and gens finished the second to hide fast if not

I might be wrong but that's why I don't see tunneling such an issue or at least not on killer side. I tunnel gens all day even after they kick them so, its just more efficient
Let me try to give you an example of how these games usually go...

    - Someone gets hooked

    - If I'm nearby I pop over to unhook

    - I see the killer doing a little patrol. I give him time to see if he walks away

    - I now see my teammates come along and all 3 of us are sat in the bushes waiting (I always use Bond)

    - I realize the killer has no intention of leaving and that none of us are doing gens

    - I go back and do gens. Other two sit near the hook waiting for the killer to leave the area.

    - They realize he isn't going to leave so they rush in for the unhook anyway.

    - They take a hit, unhook, killer immediately downs the unhooked survivor and hooks again

    - Repeat until end of game.

And that's a good scenario. In a bad one he gets both survivors down at the unhook, especially if it's a Myers.

    - If we're facing a Pig, Trapper or Spirit I don't even bother going to the hook because I know it's pretty much guarenteed they won't leave the area. So I let someone else do it and when they always take a hit shortly before unhook I know that yes the killer hasn't left that area.

So you've got killers who won't step more than 20m away from the hook and survivors who get impatient and rush in for the unhook anyway (none of them have Borrowed Time).

So the game becomes me leaving the guy on the hook while the team basically farms him as if they could ever get him away safely while I spend my game holding M1 hoping I can get the gens done before everyone else is dead.

That's it. Game after game after game.

To top it off sometimes I get salt at the end for "not doing anything" even though I do almost all of the gens myself. Like what am I meant to do? Run in and unhook and help the killer skip the sacrifice timer?
I think I said that on my post if not I'll sy it now
Be egoist I, do 2 gens and leave through the hatch. Sometimes I get the scenarios you described, SOMETIMES key word. In 5 games I survive on average 3 times and I'm not even close good as many other survivors I met or are in this forum

Still, I will blame the survivors in this scenarios you described too. I lost count of how many times I looped the killer for 3 gens and be hooked and saved or lose him and see another guy be chased for 10s and downed. I still blame the survivors

Get the gens done, play more stealthy to get evader points and leave when your mates die. That's it. I think its unfair point out the killer for staying on the book when other 2 guys are around and eventually get punished for their bad plays

People are salty? Welcome to online gaming. Every game as killer I get called names 24/7 even if I leave the hook right after every time but since they unhook next to me and I react I get called camper. People are stupid, don't bother on what they say

I survive more often than I die even with crappy survivors but sometimes you can have bad games, happens. The problem I think is the flawed ranked system that make stupid people rank up easily and ruining games, as I always say survivors worst enemies are survivors

If you want I'll post a video in a few. Its just rank 6ish if I'm not wrong but still valuable. I haven't played much lately, if you're interested to actually see wat I mean when I get back to rank 1 I'll record it
  • tt_ivi_99 said:

Your suggestion is a bit extreme, but something does need to be done about survivors who refuse to leave. And the lone survivor who sticks around after everyone else is gone to search for the hatch (like no bonus reward for using the hatch after any other survivor has escaped through the exit gates).

I also think DS should not work once the gates are powered or the hatch is open, to discourage the survivors who save their DS to troll the killer at the end of the game. It's not fun to down someone at the exit gate only for them to use DS and run right out. There is no counter to that as a killer (no hook would be close enough to dribble them to, there's no way to position yourself in a way that blocks them from getting through the exit, and you can't even slug them because they can easily crawl out).

Just like there is no way to counter Brutal Strenght, Pop Goes the Weasel, Enduring, Spiritual Fury, Sloppy Butcher, Tanatophobia, Coulrophobia, Unnerving Presence, Overwhelming Presence, Franklins Demise, etc.

If a survivor saves his DS and activates it in the right time is bad and should be nerfed, but when a Michel Myers saves his Tier 3 and activates it in the right time nothing happens. Hypocrite.

No wait, are you seriously comparing DS to stuff like brutal strength? Or thanatophobia? One of the worst killers perk? Or even franklin? Are you okay dude?

First of all you wanna have more counters against killers, and you're the numerous role just saying, second you don't even realize how many counter you have as survivor just for being a survivor

Lets take one of the most used perks, BBQ. 3 perk less counters methods. Nurse, use brain. Spirit fury you say? Drop the pallet earlier instead of stunning, wait until he break the pallet to run to another loop or hide. Look, no perk required! Sloppy butcher.. Botany knowledge, big revelation I know. Franklin.. Who still use this perk? And the same goes on many of your examples

DS counters.. Dribbling if the hook is close enough with the downside of wasting time and weak to body block, one person is enough. I can already hear "USE ENDURING REEEEEEEEE", so durning prevents you to get free of my shoulders? No? Okay then doesn't counter it, just makes It less painful to watch the guygirl going on another loop

Its cute how you compare a killer power to DS now just to have a point. He has an insta down, so what? He has to stalk and good survivors can keep you tier one or two for fairly long. If he can get you popping tier 3 any other Insta down would've done the trick. Still not an issue especially with Myers, one of the killers I have the most fun playing against

Anyway by reading your posts I already know where your bias are and how stubborn you are. Still, had fun debunking these.. I don't know how to describe it without being too rude.. Theories? Mh wait, """"theories"""' , now its more believable
  • DW dude, after the new patch camping would be even more common if it makes it in the live servers as it is now
  • Crow said:

At this point I don't expect the killer to be buff. They just going to assume that the fun is in injuring survivors and that's it.

    yeah that's what they stated
"Its meant to be fun, if you wanna play competitively play billy or nurse"
Something like that in the dev stream. Too bad the concept of fun is very subjective and they assume their meaning of fun is injured people left and right and let everyone escape

Which might even be fine if the emblem system wasn't broken, nobody played this in a competitive way, there wasn't a rank system, you ain't called killer but entertainer

Some people just liked to kill everybody others like to chase or being chased. Other likes to play immersed etc etc

Say, this is the way is more fun for us = fun for everybody, is wrong. I really got triggered when they stated that on the dev stream. A game should be balanced to make everybody play as they wish to have their fun in their terms, not imposing it.

Well, are we really considering ease of use for where place killers on the list? I don't think it's really relevant when we're talking about how powerful a killer is or isn't in the right hands. The rest of your points make sense, though. My only counter point is that the Huntress's hatchets are relatively easy to avoid, and she's easily baited into a spot where it will be difficult for her to have clear shots. You can waste her time for days around the shortest and simplest pallet loops on Macmillan's for example before she gives up and just decides to M1.

A teleport, by comparison, is almost a guaranteed hit. I'll agree with Tyde Tyme that it's not absolutely guaranteed, but virtually are.The chances are absurdly high. As long as you don't reflex hit immediately out of teleport and actually make sure the survivor is facing you first, so as to not suffer from the missed cool down (SpaceCoconut, I love the guy, but he does this a lot), you'll get a hit seconds afterwards. I'll concede that she suffers more in terms of set up, but the rewards are far greater if she has the aforementioned knowledge of maps, routes, etc. She not only gets nigh guaranteed hits, but the power to pressure multiple survivors on different areas of the map at once.

Huntress lacks any real strength to pressure unless you want to count crazy hail Mary shots from across the map. She still slugs around from one corner to another at base 110% movement speed.

Though, I have been told that Huntress, similar to nurse, is more threatening on PC because aiming is easier. I'm on console and never feel particularly intimidated by any huntress unless they're bringing one shot hatchets.

Mhm I don't disagree with that, at least not entirely. I play on console too but aside the facr I've seen god huntress even there where she hit me from the other side of the map, I count things in scenarios. With people that are good with them and facing good survivors too, these ones know how to manage a hag, traps included even if with someone tricks I've explained can do well.

Hag its on of the most fun killers for me but I can't judge her just from my experience since I don't have enough compared to really good ones. Seeing her weaknesses and her strengths yeah a teleport give you more map pressure-ish but like trapper suffer a little to set them up. Be for you get a chases gen might have been popped, a trap might be activated during chases in the other part of the map etc. The learning curve is high and even if the hundreds lacks in map control, her chases can finish way faster than the hag for her power.

If huntress catch a person and take a book, she just need to see another one to start a snowball while having might lack on it depending on the traps that have been activated during the chase + time to set. Huntress I easier and more rewarding even if the Hag its harder and arguably less rewarding with her its like playing a real time chess and that's beautiful by itself. The problem is the very natural of this that put her slightly in disvantage

Like that reminder said this list can change anytime, its more a mental note putted on a thread. Even a slight variation on perks or mechanics can change everything, just look the vault speed change that in an indirect way nerfed clown. Wasn't even intended but it did

She's in a really good spot and mid high isn't bad, just means that to perform well you need more practice. A hag main that knows everything can be thousand years ahead of an average Nurse/Billy. Plus she is mid-high in my opinion, which means she needs a slight push to be high while mid-low risk to fall back if slightly nerfed

That's the reason why I divided mid tier in two trees

Another example before ending this answer, just changing the hex totems or totems spawns in general would change almost the whole list and have would be higher than the nurse easily in that case. For several reasons like hexes no being a gamble plus protected by her traps

Anyway thank for your opinions, they are pretty interesting
  • @Wahara said:
In what world is the huntress better than the hag? I'm willing to listen to arguments about why the spirit may be stronger than the hag, but huntress? I'm going to have to poor a drink and sit down for that one.

Would love to. Well my reasons are simple. Huntress is easier to use than Hag which you need to know where to place traps, map knowledge, power knowledge so you can put them in specific spots where survivor might loop so they take extra time to vault for example during a chase caused by the a sudden trap that makes your char goes in that way giving you extra time to hit. The knowledge you need to be a very good Hag its higher and the reward might be almost the same as Huntress but instead of have all that map knowledge, loop location knowledge and power management, you just need a good aim and punish obvious routes and animation locks.

I make this tier, which is just based by personal opinion, even by how hard is to learn X killer and how rewarding is its power. I play hag way more than huntress and love to play even more but I can see that Huntress have lesser requirements with higher rewards compared to hag that have to consider all the points that I made and even more that I might ignore for sure since I'm not that experienced compared to others. That's the reason, a simple scale on learning curve and rewards

Like survivors shouldn't tell others the killer perks but here we are
  • Yeah they are a I'm in on what's fun
The problem is that's subjective and the devs fun might not coincide with my meaning of fun or others meaning of fun

Omg buff all killer perks because it's not like they haven't been favored enough....grow up

Okay explain. I can take this statement and replace the word killer with survivors and have the same impact

Survivor, mainly got 2 big nerfs, pallets and healing speed. Which reduced their survivability.

And survivors we're always lackluster in term of stealth, making these buffs pretty neat.So I don't understand any of these complaints myself...

As someone said killers got way more needs first but that's not the point other than be off topic but lets ride that. Pallet change, which one? The vacuum? That was good if you don't thin so I don't know what to tell you
Vault changes, I admit I didn't liked them too since is a lazy fix so they won't do a far longer job to make better map designs. They made some but since others needed much work they did this change
Heal Nerf, was just needed and isn't that impactful at all. We are talking about 4s that in survivor side I didn't even notice before reading the patch notes

In the other hand I you bother to read what I said before, youll see my reasoning about these aura nerfs that not only hurts killers in a huge way but also survivors experience and since I'm tired of having bad survivors on my team, have even more of them thanks to artificial helps to them to rank up hurts even survivors.

As I said in my previous comments, what you get when you almost delete or as they wanna do, do huge nerfs to the hunting perks that incentives leaving the hook to hunt anybody else? I let you think about it

Ask for a realistic WGLF buff, then? I don't believe a soul is stopping you.

IIRC WGLF was adjusted because it encouraged unhooking people directly in front of a killer, and other potato tactics, though.

Killers need to have fun, or at the least feel like they're accomplishing something in the face of the crap survivors put them through (Especially SWF having fun at the killer's expense), and it's only going to get worse with the new survivor and aura blocker lockers.

So, yeah, why not make a perk better towards this goal?

There just seems to be so much rant after one measley nerf to BBQ and everyone is losing their minds. Meanwhile, survivors are still farming teammates with WGLF and just adding BT to not lose the points.

BT is getting a solid adjustment, though. Killers aren't too thrilled. Survivors are.

It's not a measly nerf either, it removes a hefty chunk of why people use it all together.

Really, am I the only one who uses it for BP’s?? From all the post I’ve seen most killers use it for BP’s. They must’ve changed their minds overnight.

but yes BT is getting a buff, all the more reason to farm with WGLF right?? That’s why WGLF deserves more of a readjustment then B.B.Q does right now.

Ehm just saying, we talk about BBQ because its the most used but these changes in combination with the new perk would easy counter EVERY aurora reading. Nurse calling, random, bitter murmur etc aura perks that INCENTIVES hunting and not camping

Plus BBQ had already 6 counties before these announced changes, 3 of them perk less. That's why people are pissed. One of the most used and counterable perks used by killers getting even more counties and nerfs so even a child can counter it now not even hiding behind a gen or faking a direction for example

Now people would heal next to the killer, he won't see you with nurse calling Anyway
    Etc etc

That's why people are pissed and even me since I have even less interest to play killer than usual if these changes get through. I would see way more farmers and dumb mates at high ranks not for their accomplishments but because its even easier, leading a more frustrating game even on survivor side

Think like the killers are the ones who should sort it out who deserves to be high rank and good survivors the same for killers. If anybody can rank up even easier would hurt everybody.

Back to the topic, people get pissed nnot only making aura perks way less useful but also one of the strongest perks that everybody asked for a change, even from survivor side, DS, wasn't changed at all while all aura perks and one of the most counterable and used perk nerfed

But here’s the thing, would you give up any of your meta perks for this new survivor perk? I sure as hell wouldn’t. Furthermore, if we’re gonna talk about survivors having to use another perk to hide auras, doesn’t the killer have the ability to bring in Iron Maiden as well? Even more, survivors can only use that perk until it runs out of tokens.

I still think if they’re gonna rebuff BBQ then they should also buff WGLF to adjust the BT. WGLF is long overdue.

First of, why should any killer give up an older meta perk to counter a new broken perk for the survivor side?
That logic make no sense and I explained pretty well why people are pissed, why isn't a good change while you just say "Well, would you sacrifice something to not make this broken thing get in a live server?".. seriously, you can have a debate or you are just dumb?

Yes the killer have such strong perk like, if a survivor exit a locker they are exposed for 15s. So to hit them in 15s they are already pretty close to just open the locker itself if I know they are there.

The other perk is "you can spam attacks while carrying a survivor with no cd and when you get body blocked you won't lose the grip on your prey". This is sooooooo situational you have no idea

and the last perk "show if 2 survivors works in a gen" so now the survivor have even more incentives to do gen rush correctly, 1 gen per survivor.

    Totally the same thing as:
Perk that prevent auras 3 times, any auras not only BBQ, any auras that helped SURVIVORS to not be camped and incentives killer to leave the hook

Perkless mechanic, now you counter auras even without perks staying in a locker. Yeah, even a perkless ability, great. So now I would use your logic. Let's say at the start of the game you all are exposed for 2 minutes, no counterplay, no totems to break. Just first 2 minutes exposed unless you are in a hook. Won't be a perk but would you sacrifice your DS or a meta perk to prevent this change? Now I hope you realize how stupid your sentence was

A perk that's bond 2.0 (after care). So another aura perk for survivor, which I won't mind, actually I like it and I might use it. The problem is all killers auras are being nerfed, even the ones that were barely viable now would become trash

Breakdown, i love this one since it opens up more to sabo builds. The problem? punish killers to do hooks, which is bad for one single reason. All the other nerfs that might came up makes the new killer perks laughable.

All these things plus just to make it even better, a killer that can't kill. Can only Hurt survivor but sucks at actually down them, an actual clown for survivors entertainment. Yeah I can figure out why people are pissed, if you can't you might play just one side or just stubborn to understand what you don't like taking it like a personal attack

I’m having trouble understanding your frustrated sentencing structure. I think what you’re trying to illustrate is that a killer won’t give up a perk slot for Iron Maiden.  Also, why would the game start with all survivors having the exposed effect, haven you ever heard of NOED?? And why do you bring up Legion when this is strictly a BBQ and WGLF debate, do you really need to reinforce this with outside bias?

My point still stands, good survivors won’t give up a meta spot for the aura perk.

WGLF should be buffed if they’re going to revert the aura locker effect.

And to completely disregard your last argument, I already proved I play both sides, as requested
OK you are right. You don't understand
If you even can't understand what I'm talking about even using your logic making a dumb statement like you did before, I don't new to keep discussing with you

Its pointless, would be easier teach a rock to jump.
Disregard my argument that's Hilarious when you can't understand what I say even if explained it two times and straw man my points. That's cute
Okay since you’re logic makes absolute sense.
I at leadt use logic making examples after examples giving you facts like that already existing counters etc

You just say "no you're wrong"

I can't talk with someone who uses feeling vs real arguments and straw man mines, I'm sorry
Yeah cause starting the game wit exposed status effect is a logical way of putting things.
I was using you logic there making a dumb example like for me I dumb be that protected from aura effects WITHOUT perks

As far as I can see you can't understand yet. Don't worry its fine dude, everyone is gifted in different things. You might be very good in other stuff for sure ;)
  • I actually like the idea. But how can people abuse it? That's the first thing you have to think

By far only try to accumulate that as fast as you can and do it repeatedly. You should add the total number of pieces you can obtain and there is oer map, how many can be generated, there is a cap per person? Stuff like that, except these details that might be added I like it
  • Seeing you post the same thing 3 times in a row which lead me thinking you're internet connection isn't stable at all, I would hurt even you

  • Its simple, I would make it more than once per game use, maybe an exhaustion instead or regular one but instead of getting free you stun in place for like 2s to wiggle out. Would exist a counter (iron grip or agitation) and when you are almost getting free wiggling out normally cuz the killer is greedy for a hook you get an escape instead not make it for a pixel ( happened a lot)

I know they tryed that an they didn't like it but honestly wouldn't be an quick fix plus would make more meta stuff like iron grip and the new perks that's coming. You get a free wiggle out but if you manage to get far enough from a hook or the killed get greedy for the basement for example
