Resident Evil. I basically grew up playing Resident Evil ever since I was a toddler. My favorites are Re4, Re1 remake, and the og Re3.
-
Mfs nerfed my Billy. Can't have ######### in Dbd.

Tf is wrong with you people?
Try it. Your cereal won't get soggy as fast and you have better control over your milk to cereal ratio while you eat.
-
Cereal is better when you put the milk in first.
-
You'd love me :)
-
I play both but I still consider myself a killer main. Lately I haven't been playing much survivor though because I just can't deal with randoms and I don't really have anyone to play with.
-
The only people I've found who call me a tryhard or sweaty are the ones who have no other excuses for them losing. Can't blame me for camping or tunneling. Can't blame me for playing an "overused/boring/low skill" killer (I main Nurse on console). Can't blame me for bringing "op" stuff like noed or a mori. Can't blame me for "getting lucky". So all they can call me is "sweaty" or a "tryhard" :p
-
If I'm being honest it used to piss me off and cause me to bring a mori the next game but I haven't been that way for a long while now. I learned to not take things like that so seriously. In fact it doesn't even happen to me very often anymore anyways because I don't lose very much these days unless I'm memeing around or something.

Or you could just stop overeacting and log into the PTB to realize he’s still the same strong. This nerf is nothing compared to what the Nurse got.
Gonna have to disagree here. As someone who mains Nurse I think her nerf is nowhere near as bad as Billy's. Billy's skill cap was absolutely erased. Sure they got rid of instasaw but they also killed his curve potential which is what separated the average Billys from the veterans. Nurse's change arguably raised her skill requirement although made her alot less new player friendly which was overall a nerf because it didn't raise her skill cap but only her skill requirement. Slapping a cooldown on Billy however just makes him a weak killer with a low skill ceiling. No more chainsaw mingames with stuff like feathering, no more curving, no more zoning. Gone. All of it. He might even be played less than Nurse mark my words.

Lol fair point. That Meg was something else though.

Ds isn't strictly an anti tunnel perk though so that makes the "don't tunnel" argument invalid.
-
I'd play nurse and bring a slug build and an autohaven offering. Then I'd uhh....slug and hope it works out.
-
+1
I'd love to play old Freddy again especially with the old red paintbrush.
-
Ahem well let's see here....
I'm 17
I'm a guy
I'm an anime fan (some of my favorites are Classroom of elite, Death parade, and Danganronpa)
I'm a big rock and metal fan (some of my favorite bands are Pierce the veil, My chemical romance, and Slipknot)
My first videogame I've ever played is Resident evil 4
I'm a Nurse main on both Ps4 and Xb1
I don't read much but my favorite book is probably Looking for Alaska by John Green
I find myself to be very interested in psychology and how the human mind works
Aaand my biggest fear is the unknown of the afterlife. The fear that there may be nothing after death and that we may completely cease to exist entirely.
-
So first off as a Nurse main I'd say Mother mercy. Personally it's my favorite Nurse skin.
As for playing her and perk builds my personal build is Infectious fright, Whispers, Ruin, and Stridor. Infectious fright is godly on Nurse and gives her even more snowball potential. Whispers helps you know where you should be looking for survivors and especially at the beginning of the match AND it helps you find the last person in endgame. Ruin is a great perk for Nurse since she's great at pushing people off of gens and she's able to pressure multiple gens with her high mobility. Stridor because I just like using it on her. It helps you find them easier when they're hiding, keep track of them during fatigue, and if you combine it with the metal spoon addon you'll have super hearing which will allow you to hear injured survivors from very far away. You could honestly switch Stridor for something else though it's just a personal preference thing for me.
As for advice try to play only her while you're learning her and remember to keep your eyes open for survivor jukes to throw your blinks off. If you notice survivors are doubling back on you alot then try shortening your blinks a bit to catch them and when they break line of sight try to anticipate if they'll double back and blink to the location where they broke los rather than try making a prediction blink to cut them off. This will cause them to run right into you instead of outplaying you but remember that the best survivors will try to switch things up and make it hard to read on what they'll do. Good luck :)
-
If anything I'd want them to last a bit longer by default.
Yellow=10 seconds
Green=12 seconds
Purple=15 seconds
It feels like they run out too fast without add-ons and since you lose your add-ons at the end of the match no matter what now I think it'd be fair to buff them to last a bit longer by default.
-
I'd guess Huntress since she's also due for an add-on pass soon. At the very least they'll nerf iri head if not her basekit as well while they're at it.

Ghostface is S wym. His sigh is sooo goddamn relatable.
You do have a point there. I was also considering moving Huntress up to A tier but just decided to leave her at the top of B tier.

Just like the other reply next to yours, i really like this reply because you give good advice. This is a dumb question, I swear I'm not a fool but does Ghostface not have a heartbeat at all or is it only gone when I'm crouching or using Night Shroud?
He has no terror radius at all while Night shroud is active. Crouching has no effect on your terror radius. While Night shroud isn't active he has the standard killer terror radius. (32 meters)
-
I don't main Ghostface but he's up there as one of my most played killers. I like to use enduring and spirit fury on him along with Nurse's Calling and Whispers. Whispers may seem questionable especially when you notice I don't use any gen slowdown/regression, but I like using it to know where I should be looking at the beginning of the match and it also helps you find the last person. Nurse's is obvious because it works wonders on a killer like Ghostface who can hide their terror radius and easily sneak up on a poor vulnerable sap trying to get healed. And enduring/spirit fury because I like being able to not care about pallets. Honestly though this is just what I like using and what works for me but if anything I'd still consider Nurse's a good staple perk on him because he makes very good use out of it like I said before. And of course you'll wanna make sure that you always use a combination of the Night shroud recovery speed add-ons. Chewed pen with Olsen's adress book is are of course the best but the matchbook works as a good substitute for either one.
-
I think it's fine as is. It's not like it reveals the survivors auras for the duration but instead only tells you where the survivors are at the exact moment of downing someone. Also you can run calm spirit to counter it if you really need to be stealthy.
-
For killer: Nurse. I was a trapper main at the time I decided I wanted to learn Nurse and when I did I realized I was meant to be a Nurse main.
For survivor: Claudette. I have the most perks on her out of all my survivors and a snazzy outfit set so yea.
-
Playing Nurse and having your blinks on point where you're consecutively hitting your blink hits and downing people really quickly.
*SCREEEE* *SPLURCH* *WHEEZE*

It's surprising to see somebody enjoying Nurse around here. I don't personally hate playing her, but a lot of people here complain about even the thought of playing her, and they think she's just way too unfun.
It'll be interesting seeing the responses of people to that line about trying the meme addons. There'll certainly be at least one person that has some strong feelings about how fun it is to play as Nurse with those.
It's too bad not very many people play her. I guess people would just rather avoid the long process of learning her when they can just get quicker, better results playing spirit or Freddy instead. One day they'll fix her bugs and it'll be very worth it to learn how to play her.
-
Yea and it sucks. Really wish they'd just fix him already. Hopefully they don't decide to keep the annoying new sound.

Freddy is powerfull enough to be viable.
Good build for him:
-Nemesis
-Dead Man switch
-PGTW
-Furtive chase
How it works: once obsession got hooked, you can block gens with Dead man switch, if you bait your teleportation to gen. Once someone get unhook, he becames an Obsession due to Furtive chase. He also gets Nemesis applied for whatever reason, so he don't hear your terror radius and reveals aura to you. Small bonus for this is that FT shrinks your terror radius a bit with each hook. PGTW is just a meta perk, but you can switch it for Make your choice, or Thrilling Tremors so it further complement this build.
I actually really like this. It's a good thing I'm saving my shards to buy slinger. I'll definitely give this a try once i get the perks.
-
I like it.

Yea that happened to me today but I'm assuming i just need a new controller

They're exploiting autoaim and how the game is supposed to automatically cut a lunge short when you'll hit. This motion makes the game think you'll hit and cut your lunge in such a way that you don't.
Yea that makes sense. So I guess there's no sure way to counter it then?
-
Me neither. I kill all survivors equally :)

Eh it's a lot better than Hawkins and honestly better than I thought it would be. In fact it might be my favorite indoor map of them all.

@Lx_malice It's not a bad idea and I can appreciate the sentiment it's just that the thing that makes it polarizing in the first place is the invalidating "gotcha" cheese - not so much what it invalidates but that it does at all.
It's never a free unhook, free hit, free wiggle off - all of these perks actively take away something that the killer already did. Just another method to take agency and proactive gameplay away from the killer. If you want to change DS to something that isn't cheese, you'd have to make it something that the survivor has to actually do in the gameplay environment. Like, it always feels bad to miss a hit because of DH, but I can respect that as an outplay. The survivor actually had to do something and the second chance wasn't just handed to them for free. DS/BT/etc - they just happen.
Maybe make DS a perk that gives the survivor one low-ranged stunning strike on the hook, so that if they are getting face-camped they can help the rescuer. But it would be something they'd have to aim rather than just have it handed to them for free, the way most other perks work.
Oh yea I know. I mostly play killer myself and the stacks of second chance perks really can be annoying. But at the same time I also play solo survivor so I can see why people use them. Honestly I wouldn't mind the whole undo effect if killers would just have more time to do more things so that taking away something the killer did is less impactful. This is why the devs are adding something new to make early game easier on killers. That in tandem with a change like this to make the perk less oppressive would be more than welcome by me but that's just my opinion. I understand that you may still favor not having perks like this at all as they are just strong passive effects as you stated but I still think that as long as the killer can be compensated in some way, like more time, then I couldn't care less if they use perks like that.
-
@JustCats said:
They should really just delete it entirely along with any other perks that just serve as take-backsies. Once the killer (or survivor, but killers don't really have any of these perks) do their thing it should stand. Perks should be about keeping the killer from doing a thing rather than just invalidating the thing they did.
Oh you downed me but OOPS bye or oh you caught me unhooking unsafely but OOPS doesn't matter are just lazy, lazy perks. I don't know that oh I'm on death hook good job but OOPS nevermind is any better.
In other words, DH fine, DS bad.
That's understandable but I doubt they'd just delete the perks. This idea at least makes it so that the perk is less polarizing to play against while not making it useless.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/160997/a-really-cool-idea-i-have-to-change-ds
I like the idea but it could be so much more simple. DS lasts 30s. The timer does not go down in a chase. The timer deactivates if another survivor is downed. The timer deactivates if you are fully healed. This makes it an actual anti tunnel perk by making it so if the killer engages a chase within 30s of being unhooked you will always escape.
Yea true that is a more simple change but I just wanted to try something more creative that would be welcomed from both sides.

Well that's the whole point of my other comment. "It astounds me that if they lose a survivor who is keen enough to be able to outrun and outsmart a killer, all the doctor has to do is just electrify the area. And people who aren't even a part of the fight, but are unfortunate enough to be close to it, are effected." So you can easily loop and lose a killer, but it's difficult to run away before he zaps everything just to find you again. Think about this: How many times have you escaped a killer by losing them behind a rock/ barrier of some sort near them? It's extremely easy to lose a killer if you turn corners quick enough, but it's difficult to run away.
Your goal as a survivor isn't to break chase but to waste as much of the killer's time as possible by looping them so your team can work on gens. Being able to know survivors locations won't do much for Doc if you can keep him busy yourself. He's fairly easy to loop but you just need to watch out for his shock which can prevent you throwing pallets or vaulting. Just throw pallets a little early and you should be fine. The whole point of doc is to be able to ping survivor locations. He doesn't have any map pressure in the form of being able to zoom across the map like Billy or spirit or teleport like Freddy. So instead he gets to have an easy time finding survivors.
-
Finding people is the whole point of Doctor. Just loop him like most other killers but be wary of shock therapy.
-
Ome more thing since I'm not able to edit my post for some reason.
I'm not saying that the survivors on Xbox are bad as I've seen a decent amount good survivors on xbox. I'm just saying that I run into alot more casual players on Xbox. This is not a console war post :)

Feelsbad. Much luck to your next games.

I'd take a buff but he doesn't need it. Currently he's doing extremely well for me at rank 1.
I mean considering the coming map changes and the addition of something to make the early game easier on killers; maybe he won't need anything other than an add-on rework and a couple QoL changes. Personally I wish your chainsaw would start as soon as you charge it to 100 similar to Billy. It's really annoying letting go of a 99 chainsaw and just losing lots of distance because of it. Still though his power just feels really bland compared to all the things Billy can do and with Bubba being an iconic killer and all it'd be nice if he could be seen as something more than just the killer who excels at facecamping.
-
I don't think the problem really lies within Bubba's add-ons. While yes his add-ons do need to be changed in order to match the other killers; Bubba himself just isn't a very strong killer and could use a full on power rework or a nice buff. What they could do I have no idea but I've definitely given it some thought. Maybe let him throw his chainsaw? Hell I don't know but he needs something. #BuffBubba
-
As survivor probably Huntress. They just seem to naturally dislike me for some reason and will do everything in their power to prevent me from escaping.
As killer pretty much any survivor with unnaturally colored hair. They're usually good loopers and will try really hard to get my attention.

Favorite to play: Nurse and Trapper
Favorite to play against: Nurse and Oni

So much knowledge here. idk where to begin. I used infectious fright but can't really see the screams. maybe I need to turn immediately after cool down. I have use some bad ear phones before but it is substantially better than the tv. I will have to get a better pair for sure.
Definitely. A good headset is highly useful and let's you so many more plays that you wouldn't be able to do without one and with infectious fright you definitely just turn immediately after downing someone to see if there are any other survivors nearby. If there aren't then you can safely pick that person up without worrying about a flashlight or pallet save since you know that nobody will get there fast enough which is another nice use for infectious fright.
-
Any time man. Game could always use more Nurse players. I used to run I'm all ears a bit myself. It can definitely be very useful but you're right the long cooldown sucks and after you learn survivors movements you won't really need it and there will be better stuff to run. My main build consists of alot of tracking perks so i can always make the best use of my time and ruin. The new hex ruin is amazing on a highly mobile killer like nurse who's able to easily switch between targets and pressure gens. Another perk i use is infectious fright which is absolutely godly on nurse. This perk allows you to generate tons of pressure by slugging which the nurse is great at. Then there's whispers which is probably the best killer perk imo. I know another guy said they wouldn't recommend it on Nurse but honestly it just provides so much value and let's you get the most use out of your time. It let's you know where you should and shouldn't be and makes it nearly impossible for the last survivor to escape during endgame. Lastly i use Stridor which is definitely questionable but i just like it because it helps me keep track of survivors during fatigue and makes it alot easier to find survivors who may be hiding around me AND it soft counters iron will; a meta survivor perk. Stridor also stacks with the metal spoon addon which practically let's you hear an injured survivor from across the map so that's nice too.
