  • Legion. A movie about a group of misfit pals turning into a band of merciless killers could be interesting to watch.

  • I love giving hatch. I get a lot of thank yous for doing it. Usually spinning around and smacking stuff is enough to let the survivor know I'm trying to give them hatch and they quit wiggling. If I've already closed hatch then sometimes I let them go through the gate. If I'm in a really good mood then sometimes I let the last 2 survivors go even after destroying their team. I've met a lot of cool people doing stuff like this.

I met this one Feng in particular who was a really good looper but her team kinda sucked. I had to keep abandoning chase with her and destroyed her team until there were 2 left. Eventually I caught her and slugged her to find the other person whom I killed. I then gave her hatch. She was really surprised and asked me why I'd let her go. I told her that she was really good and that she deserved to escape. We ended up adding eachother and we swfed and 1v1d in kyf that night. Still one of the best survivors I've played against in a while. Props to her.

  • Obviously I'm gonna say whispers is better. Discordance does have its uses but whispers is overall the better tracking perk. It helps you find the first survivor at the beginning of the game which can save you a bunch of time and as we all know it is important to make the most efficient use of your time as killer. It lets you know where you shouldn't be which also saves alot of time. It helps you find the stealthy survivors which is just a matter of learning how to use whispers. It helps you find the last survivor as well so if you close the hatch they have almost no chance of escaping.

So yea I feel like whispers has more use overall and you're guaranteed to get some use out of it every game. Discordance has the potential to only proc once or twice throughout the match however.

Playing Solo Survivor is the only thing I know that makes SoloQ in Overwatch feel like a fantastic experience. I have never had a worse time SoloQing in a game as I have here.

Tell me about it. Arguably if you're a dps main the experience is even worse on Overwatch. You have to wait 10-20 minutes just to play one match and if you aren't carrying the entire team your teammates will let you know how "trash" and "useless" you are. Also waiting that long just to get a ######### 2cp map....makes me want to commit uninstall life.

I enjoy both and there’s pros and cons for both roles. I love how in survivor I can try out some new builds without feeling like it’s going to cost me the match, whereas with killer I don’t feel I have as much freedom when it comes to what perks I use. However, whilst playing killer I love that I’m the one in control as it’s nice not having to rely on having other competent teammates. For me, it honestly depends on my mood as for which side I want to play that day.

I would recommend at least trying out the other side, as it definitely made me a stronger player knowing the ins and outs of both survivor and killer matches.

I agree it's great to play both sides as it only makes you a better player at both roles but I can only play so much survivor before I either become to frustrated with randoms or get too bored and feel like switching back to killer.

  • @Kellie said:

I like looping good killers ok! Even though I almost never get good killers.

And I like chasing good survivors. Not for too long though otherwise it might cost me the match :p

I agree though looping killers is fun but sadly it's one of few redeeming qualities of playing survivor

  • @thrawn3054 said:

Because running/hiding for your life can be pretty tense. I imagine most people who tried this game initially tried it because they were horror fans. Why wouldn't you want to recreate that feeling in a game?

And when I'm in the mood to, or am simply sick of ######### teammates I get my murder on.

That's understandable. Being chased is the most fun part about playing survivor and it's what has me playing every once in a while but otherwise I find my fun in playing killer the majority of the time.

  • @Useless_Bean said:

I personally find playing survivor really fun, mainly because of how random the games can be. Like if I'm running urban evation with spine chill is the most funny thing to me, when I notice spine chill light up I go crouch behind a rock and just move around the killer. If you have a team made of potato's that hide out in the open or haven't done a single gen through out the entire 5 mins or longer chase you have endured then yeah it sucks but if you're lucky and get a good team and a good killer omg it's so fun. The on the go strats like save the person on hook, take a protection hit for them if needed, if the killer is still chasing me then find the nearest loop, if there is no loop then its mind gaming around a pallet or a jungle Jim all while trying to finish the gens and escape.

Basically I'm a huge survivor main and I should probably shut up before ppl tell me to because I speak to much lol

Ah so you actually like the gamble aspect of when it comes to what kind of teammates you'll get. Solo itself is a huge gamble which is what makes it frustrating for me because I'm one of the most unlucky people I know.

  • @Drywatr said:

The main thing is playing with friends for many. Also many find survivor less stressful! I like playing both roles myself but have definitely played survivor more due to friends.

Playing with friends can definitely ease the stress especially if they're either good or just really funny. I don't have a group of friends that I frequently play with though. Usually when I meet someone new to play with we add eachother, play for like a day, and then never talk to each other again.

  • Eh for me it's more like "Why does everyone like Feng so much?" I don't see as many Megs as I do Fengs. It's almost like every other survivor main is a Feng main lol.

  • Don't forget about Myers busting a nut when he gets stunned.

  • @Elena said:

    Hillbilly: OhTofu

Ayrun: Am I a joke to you?

I agree. Ayrun is a Hillbilly god and his Nurse is pretty insane as well.

  • I think moris would be kinda pointless if you had to hook survivors twice to use it. I was thinking that you should have to hook each survivor once before you can use it. This would offer alot more counterplay without making it useless. The killer would then need to avoid tunneling and have to find and catch each survivor before they can start using the mori. By the time the killer is able to mori the first survivor they will have had to win five chases at least.

  • Once I was playing Ghostface and was just messsing around with the survivors. I was standing on a hill as all the survivors were lined up below me and I would teabag in a pattern and they would repeat after me. *Up, down, up, down, 360 spin* And they'd all repeat it together after me. It was glorious.

  • I literally had 3 ebony mori games in a row today. That's ridiculous but I put up some good chases which I'm proud of because I usually play killer but I had a daily. But yea moris need to be toned down a bit along with keys. Maybe every survivor needs to be hooked once before you can use the mori and a key equals one person escaping while it takes 5 seconds to open the hatch with it.

  • Favorite: ZubatLel, Tru3, Otz, Ayrun

    Least: Scott, Hexy, Ussylis

  • Hey man that's toxic >:( But yea you can't hit hooked survivors anymore, but if you really want to I'm pretty sure you can still throw hatchets at them as Huntress.

  • @Fran1994 said:

All of you guys telling stories of you playing with your girl and boy friends, and i'm so sad my girlfriend is so scared of horror things i cannot even talk to her about this game, even if she's quite an avid gamer herself :'(

On my nurse (mobile. So very hard to play) i play sloppy, nurse calling, stridor and agitation. Makes it easier to do some basement hook and then ambush those altruistic survivors who try their best to do basement unhooks... Or try healing inside my terror radius.

Like, ######### guys? I could even hear you healing without nurse calling, but anyway a nurse is very likely to run that perk... So Just.. don't heal?

Props to you for playing Nurse on mobile. I tried her myself on there and damn it's hard. I thought console was hard but mobile is on another level even with the infinite chain blink window between blinks.

Cool, man. I am a Nurse main also that became a Freddy main after cooldown Nurse. But after buying the outfit in last offer, i played some matches again and kind of getting used. But, i like play all killers as well.

One question. Why Stridor? Whats the use with her? To compensate fatigue view with higher grunts after a hit?

Yup. It also counters iron will which alot of survivors run and it makes it easier to find any little sneaks that may be hiding nearby. Not to mention it stacks with metal spoon which allows you to have super hearing.

I find new Ruin to be a pretty effective perk with Nurse's mobility, and I pretty much always have BBQ + Shadowborn equipped. The fourth slot changes around sometimes between Infectious Fright, Make Your Choice, Devour Hope, and a couple others. Lately, though, I've been liking Whispers as my fourth perk.

Cosmetic-wise, I mainly run full legacy, but sometimes I change it up with bloody prestige or the black wedding outfit.

Man what I wouldn't give to have leagcy Nurse. That's awesome.

  • I'd say so. She's really strong and lots of fun. Takes A LOT of practice though. With enough skill and practice you'll be able to easily beat most teams.

  • Pharah. Makes me feel good about my aim as McCree (my main) and I just find her annoying.

I thought that was awesome too. I wish my bf would play and learn her but he hates the game from continuous bad experiences :(

When I first started the game I tried her out and couldn't figure out ######### I was doing and thought she was uber weak. Then after getting my ass handed to me with the other killers (especially old Freddy) for quite a while I thought I guess I'll learn her since she was considered the S-tier. Learned to love her and I liked using omega blink. Yeah, I said it. I've adapted since but I'll always miss using one blink to hit someone from BBQ. It was glorious.

I like Tinkerer/BBQ/Ruin/Spies from the Shadows. Getting gen grabs from right behind the wall they're facing is such a power move. Also love how it scares some people so bad, truly a horror game in that instance.

I know exactly what you mean. I always ran range whenever I could too. Ahh memories of Nurse outta nowhere moments. I never considered Tinkerer though. With the buff coming soon I might just have to try it out. Sounds like fun lol.

  • @Throwaway123 said:

Sad to say I don't think I can say I'm a nurse main anymore. I haven't played her in a while because I just couldn't deal with the bugs for another day. But I generally ran Whispers, BBQ, Sloppy, Ruin or Corrupt. I love her black funeral garment, it looks fancy. Wish they'd fix nurse's bugs, but I won't hold my breath. At least Spirit is pretty fun to play imo.

Feelsbad. Hopefully one day you'll be able to have fun playing her again.

  • @BadMrFrosty said:

I typically run BBQ (sometimes I replace it with something else), sloppy butcher, monitor & abuse (to make my TR less than the aura reading range of nurses), and nurses.

Honestly, if you can deal with the wonky FOV changes due to monitor, I'd say it's one of the most underrated perks on nurse and makes her truly terrifying.

Monitor is pretty good on her. I never tried the combo myself but I heard you can use the extra range add-ons with Monitor to get free gen grabs.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

P3 cosmetics or the Tragic Love Opera. Not sure how long exactly, but I know I have around 10-11k blink attacks.

For builds: In public matches, I'll usually go BBQ, Nurses, Whispers, Stridor/Agitation/HG/Sloppy. For comp, it's Corrupt/Ruin/Surveillance/HG.

I play every other killer except Huntress and Billy. Just never really took the time to get good with them. My other mains are Clown, Plague, Myers, Hag, Demo.

Comp? So you do like tourneys and stuff like that? Also that is A LOT of blink attacks. I wish there was a way for me to check how many I have on Ps4.

  • @immortalls96 said:

It's hard to enjoy her these days..I run hallowed blight nurse with bbq , pop, infectious..and I'm still figuring out my ideal 4th perk..was trying deathbound but with limited success

I'd probably go with whispers. Can never go wrong with it.

I say those two killers because most killers don’t break line of sight as often as these two do.

True. Stridor spirit appears to get more hate though so I guess that makes it better on her of the two.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1441798#Comment_1441798

I agree. Stridor helps with blinks through walls as well which if you haven’t seen is hard to convey how it does work.

Its odd how stridor only seems good on Nurse and Spirit imo.

It's pretty decent on all killers but there's better stuff for them to run so that's probably why.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1441746#Comment_1441746

This is my thought process as well on not using Shadowborn. I thought before unlocking it that it would help with 360ing survivors as they cannot hide on the killers ‘hip’ due to limited field of view.

I had a similar thought with Hillbilly and backrevving, which does work, but with his nerf I don’t think I’ll have as much flexibility in his loadouts anymore.

Thing is I’m not sure I’m actually getting value from Shadowborn on Nurse but know I would get two to three hits from I’m All Ears or extra slowdown from Sloppy.

It is useful for making it easier to see and keep track of survivors during fatigue but it's better to just use your ears for that. That's why I guess you could say I run Stridor in its place. It counters iron will and it's helped me find stealthy survivors nearby that I probably wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Sometimes I like to use metal spoon because it stacks with Stridor which is pretty cool.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

I’ve been running BBQ/PGTW/Infectious Fright/Shadowborn. I think I may give up on Shadowborn but not sure yet.

My bud, who only plays Nurse, runs Sloppy Butcher and I’m All Ears with Pop and BBQ.

I was addicted to shadowborn learning her as well. I kinda weened myself off of it with Monitor and eventually stopped using both altogether. I wanted more from my perks so that's why I didn't want to keep using it. Shadowborn really is a drug perk.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Hey, I use the prestige cosmetics on my Nurse.

I started playing Nurse only 4 months ago. Half of the reason was I wanted to learn something new, and get good at it, the other half was my girlfriend asking me to show her my Nurse skills. She is also a Nurse main, and she gave me helpful advice while playing.

I've been playing Nurse ever since, and excluding the reoccurring bugs, I've been having a pretty good time.

That is absolutely amazing. A Nurse main couple...I love it.

  • @metalklok said:

let me put on my survivor main hat real quick *cough cough*

git gud! so? yet you run noed?

The sad part is that people will still unironically give him flak for using noed despite the stacks of meta perks the survivors are using as if it justifies the matchmaking system.

  • I just want them to let him keep his curve man. If we can't at least get that I'll probably never touch Billy again.

I think we can also agree that X and Y was when it really went downhill and never really recovered?

That was 6th gen right? Yea I tried it but it was just so boring that I couldn't keep playing it. The only enjoyable pokemon game I have on 3ds is Alpha Sapphire. Being able to revisit gen 3 remade was great so naturally I enjoyed it but I wish they would've added the full battle frontier.

Well I guess we'll have to disagree on Emerald being the best but remakes of XD/Colluseum sound sick. So long as they give it to Genius to do again or something. Anything but Gamefreak.

I will be honest and I am sure I will get hate for this but the Remake of Pokemon Snap is not that great to me. I thought it was a cute game but the way people acted over the game I never understood. I mean ride a predetermined path and take pictures? You can already take pictures in the pokemon game. Why are people so excited for this game? Is it just another case of nostalgic glasses?

Never played pokemon snap but I'm comparing Pokemon Colosseum(2003) to Sword and Shield(2019). I'm honestly baffled though that snap gets a remake while Colosseum and XD are just left to be forgotten. It really saddens me :(

Eh I liked XD and Colluseum but I still prefer B/W/B2/W2. Even if you think Colluseum and XD are better can you at least agree B/W/B2/W2 are the best mainline games?

Emerald was the best main storyline game. There was soo much to do in that game it was amazing. Great story, tons of legedaries to catch, and the battle frontier.

But yea I still believe Colosseum an XD are the best pokemon games of all time. It's sad how Sw and Sh 16 years later can't even live up to Colosseum. I wish they'd remake Colosseum and XD so I'd have a reason to buy a switch instead of some half baked garbage that can't even compare to those games. I'll just leave this here:

SwSh- Pokemon Sword and Shield. The most recent installments on the Nintendo Switch, the largest selling of the games (and I don't do much to help cause I bought Shield & the DLC) and also some of the worst.

Let's just have Ghetsis as the killer and N as the survivor. Especially since Black/White/Black2/White2 are the best games and I'll fight this opinion to the death.

Black and White the best pokemon games? Uhh idk about that. I like to think that Pokemon Colosseum and XD are the best games. Colosseum came out in 2003 on gamecube and still looks and plays better than Sw and Sh. If you haven't played these games I highly recommend you do and let me know if you still hold the same opinion.

  • Monstrous Shrine. Doesn't get much worse than that.

  • Body blocking the hatch is also useful in a scenario where there's 3 survivors and 1 gen left. One survivor uses a key and your natural instinct is to close the hatch immediately so the others can't jump in BUT this activates endgame and completely ignores the last gen that needed to be completed. If you body block, however, the hatch will eventually close on it's own and endgame won't activate and the last 2 survivors will still have to complete the last generator.

I liked Leon's play through of 6. But it totally diverted from the main sort of idea of resi evil. The first crimson head in the mansion after the boss fight still makes me breathe deep to this day

Yea so did 4 but damn they did it so well. They tried so hard to create another game to live up to 4 but just couldn't and yea I remember playing RE Remake and get too scared at some points that I'd ask my older brother to play for me. I used to be too lazy to bring the canteen and refill it when I was younger so there were crimson heads everywhere but these days when I play the game now I make sure I burn every zombie I kill even if I have to be back and forth refilling the canteen😂

  • I think he just needs a form of map pressure. He's slow and big maps are a nightmare for him.

    In what order....

    Mines is :

    RE remake HD

    RE 2 original

    RE 1 directors cut

    RE 4

    RE 0

    RE 3 original

    RE 2 remake

    RE 5

Not played any the other s

From favorite to least for the main storyline games:

    RE4

    RE3 og

    RE1 Hd remake

    RE0

    RE2 Remake

    RE7

    RE2 og

    RE1/ Director's Cut

    (RE Code Veronica)??

    RE5

    RE3 remake

    RE6

Note: Just because RE6 is at the bottom doesn't mean I hate it but moreso I just don't like it as much as the others. Also if Code Veronica were to be considered a main game I'd probably place it between RE2 og and RE5.

Edit: My dumb ass forgot about the original first Resident Evil/ RE directors cut. I'm gonna be honest I forget it exists sometimes because RE HD is such a perfect remake, but I'll add it to the list.
