Hell yea dude. As a console Nurse main myself I absolutely love seeing your determination to learn her. I'd be happy to give you a few tips. First of all you'll want to get used to playing her on a fairly high sensitivity. 60 seems to work perfect for me personally ever since the controller sensitivity update. Second make sure to look slightly up when blinking to maximize the distance you travel but not too high as it is unnecessary. Thirdly competent survivors won't just run in straight lines and try to play little mind games on you to mess you up. The most common of these is running at you while your blinking to them. Try to anticipate this and shorten your blink a bit to get an easy hit. Another thing i see alot of people do is try to break LOS from you to trick you into blinking to cut them off when in reality they're just going to double back so when they do this don't try to cut them and instead blink to wherever they broke line of sight and they'll usually run right into you and bam easy hit. If my ps4 wasn't broke I'd glady hop into a kyf to teach you everything i know but for now im stuck on xbox only.

My cousin got me into it a couple years back. Id go over to his place and we both played mostly survivor and I remember being genuinely scared while playing. It didn't take very long for me to get into playing killer which I found alot more fun and still do. Eventually I bought the game for myself. Unfortunately my cousin isn't into dbd as much as he used to be which is kinda funny since he's the one who got me into it.

Actually I do watch quite a few streams. My personal favorite is ohmwrecker! But it's not the losing that bothers me, it's not getting a chance to earn blood points. Being new I'm still trying to unlock a lot of stuff so I'm at a point to where all I care about are bloodpoints, but getting matched against red rank survivors that know the ins and outs of every map and loop just completely wrecks me, and I walk out with bloodpoints that are barely higher than what I would get as a survivor. Even with BBQ equipped I'm lucky to hook more than one survivor. It's all so frustrating.
That I can understand. The grind is atrocious on this game which is why i hope they'll add cross progression so I can have all my stuff from Ps4 on xbox or pc when im finally able to switch. Unfortunately though you're gonna have to make do. Killers naturally earn more bloodpoints than survivors, which is just one reason why i like playing killer alot, so once you start learning how to outplay the survivors and beat them, then the bp will start rolling in and ease the grind a bit.
-
Honestly I find solo survivor alot more stressful than killer because at least as killer you don't have to rely on strangers. But you shouldn't be scared to play just because you might lose especially when you're a new player in the process of learning. Play more. Build up your experience. Learn how to mindgame and run loops. Check out some good killer players and learn from them. (Otzdarva, Tru3ta1nt, Zubatlel). Happy killing.

Its weird that so many people run into this, its so rare for me
Same here I can only recall one time I had a wraith do this and I still managed to safe pip.
-
"Aggressively hold M1" I lol'd.
-
I don't mind playing against him so uh yea...nothin much else to say.
-
You'll never be able to please everyone so it's just best that you do you and ignore people like that.
-
Major props for basically getting there solo. Congrats!
-
I feel like I can safely say that pallet looping was never really intended at first since when you're attempting to create a horror game you don't usually picture running in circles from a killer around a pile of garbage only to bonk them on their head with a piece of wood when they finally catch up. Since then though the game has been balanced around it so there's definitely nothing wrong with it now as it is a widely utilized game mechanic.
-
As a killer I absolutely love Ormond and it's one of my favorite maps. As survivor I don't mind playing on shelter woods. It's not one of my favorite maps but i definitely don't dislike it as much as most survivors. The only maps i really hate are all of the indoor maps and that goes for both roles.
-
I only ever do it to greet other survivors but i definitely consider it bad manners when done to taunt the killer. When I get tbagged I'm pretty indifferent on it and i don't care to bad manner the person back who tbagged if i get them because they probably already feel stupid. One thing I've noticed from experience is that alot people who tbag aren't very good and it makes me question how they even have the nerve to do it but eh to each their own I guess.
-
Yea when you play both sides you really start to see the reasoning behind the use of certain perks and playstyles. I don't use Ds though because I usually don't even need it because someone else is almost always running it which is usually enough to deter the killer from tunneling me. If they find out I don't have it though oh man they are on my ass but luckily I'm a decent looper and if my teammates are doing what they're supposed to be doing then all the gens will get done and I get my adrenaline and I'll most likely escape but if I do die my teammates get to escape. If they aren't doing gens and I die for nothing then I blame my team for that.

Are you sure you're playing DBD? And do your objective or as you're supposed to play it? lol
Yup all the way up until the end where i usually give hatch to the last person unlesss they find it first. Or I take hatch for points and let them get a door. Some just decide to shoot me a gg regardless of being killed so yea they really do exist lol
-
@BadDocter said:
If only i could have your luck i only get salty messages.
Alot of people are really thankful when you give them hatch so give that a try.
-
That actually doesnt sound like a bad idea. Have anything in mind on how they'd be used or what they could do?
-
Some of the killer's moris are pretty brutal. Like hag for example I'd think that's reason enough to make the game 18+. It's 17+ for me though but eh same thing pretty much.
-
Hello there fellow console Nurse👋. Yea I need to play Nurse frequently if I want to make sure that my blinks stay on point. Same as you if i dont play her for a few days then my blinks will be a bit off but it usually just takes me a couple matches to get back into it.

I blocked all contact from other players, so don't have that many, but still a few.
I do however try to send nice mail as much as i can, especially towards any nurse player!
That's understandable and yes I do as well. I love encouraging other Nurse players to keep doing what they do as I don't see alot of them.

Lies! OP is obviously good with photoshop! Everyone knows that the DbD community is toxicity incarnate. Players never congratulate their opponents.
Darn you got me ;(

I don't have any :'( I only got one GG one time. Kinda disappointed. I appreciate the sentiment though. Kinda funny I play on both but it's my PC that's broken, lol.
Aw feelsbad. I hope to switch to Pc eventually. I know gameplay is alot more fluid on there.

Nothing really. It could be used for a reputation system to tell which players are good or bad but that can easily be abused.
They could maybe prevent it from being abused by adding a certain number of props you need to receive to get a certain reward so more props=bigger reward instead of adding a negative prop button which could indeed definitely be abused. Also you can only give props to the same player once a month and you can't give props to fellow swf members. That could work.

I don't how that would work when I was the obsession. it only works when they hit the obsession. or I thought
Yea you're right i forgot how the perk worked.
-
She must've hit someone else to activate her dark devotion and snuck up on you while it was running out.
Edit: Nevermind i forgot how dark devotion works.
Maybe it was a bug.

I usually just say :( and ignore whatever else they say.

You fool. You absolute buffoon.

I also enjoy playing against a good swf, so long as I have forewarning. But that's the problem, and not one that can be fixed. If I know it's a swf team, I'm bringing in the good stuff and I'm not going to be merciful. If it's the right play, I'll do it, and I expect nothing less from them. There's a couple SWF groups in my region that I actually recognise and give hard games, and it's usually a draw. But the problem is that when you aren't expecting a good swf, you don't really use solid builds, killers and add-ons. And you get steamrolled. And it's just not a good time. But a SWF indicator would kill the game, so it's down to the matchmaking system to fix it.
I can agree on that. It's not all that fun if you don't come prepared and they're absolutely decked out. And unfortunately you're right an indication of a swf would kill the game.
-
Eh honestly i think most survivors would prefer to use inner strength over it. You cleanse totems alot faster while helping to avoid potential noed.

It's my favourite mcr album, absolutely underrated compared to the others.
Yea Three Cheers and Bullets are highly underrated which is insane because they hold some of their best songs like Hang em high, vampires will never hurt you, and To the end just to name a few. It seems to be a regular thing for me to find myself enjoying a band's earlier work as opposed to their newer stuff but I'm by no means saying that Mcr's more recent work is bad. Amazing band all in all and would love to get the chance to see them live if not for the pandemic.
-
I don't usually listen to music when I play Dbd but I'd like to state that I absolutely love Three Cheers. Great record👍
-
I know exactly what you mean. I get a fair amount of survivors who also run around blink deadzones when i play Nurse as well. I'd almost consider it exploiting since Nurse needs her power to catch survivors but to be fair it's the devs fault for not fixing it.
-
I got Wraith and Laurie
-
The other day I was playing bubba and I hit this Meg right before she was able to slam a pallet on my head and she pointed at me as i was breaking the pallet and she dead harded right into me after and i smacked her down. She then dced. I was so confused lol.
-
If it couldn't be combined with infantry belt or leather loop I think it'd be fine.
-
Stridor on Nurse is really nice. It helps me not only keep track of survivors during fatigue but makes it alot easier to find people outside of chases. I see alot of Nurses run shadowborn to keep track of the survivors but stridor is just better in every way for me. For survior I love running empathy because it basically lets you know when it's safe to be working on gens because you can tell if someone's being chased and I usually play solo. Also Plunderer's because I love being able to find rare items and if i find a flashlight i can save people with the help of empathy.

Last one I swear

Well, you're a bit rude, but i'll do it, although there are already many posts in the bug forum and examples on youtube&reddit.
First come the gamebreaking bugs:
- not being able to perform your second/third blink for the duration of the match
- not being able to blink AT ALL for the duration of the match
Now the hindering bugs:
- not being able to perform your second/third blink sometimes
- random blink distance reduction
- various deadzones on many maps (too many to count, the middle of sanctum; the space around the center of lery's and a few parts of hawkins are just examples)
- after getting stunned by a pallet (most times, sometimes random), nurse gets a double/triple fatigue
At last the annoying, but not hindering bugs:
- the hand of the nurse performs a slowed/speeded version of the blink charge animation when charging your blink
- the sensivity in fatigue is greatly reduced sometimes
There you go, that are the ones i see quite often, i think my fellow nurse mains got a bunch to add.
Don't forget that one bug where you blink to grab someone but smack them instead and go through the wipe animation and then fatigue right after.

Hmm...So if he 3 gens, then the gas would prevent at least one gen from being touched while you walk back and forth between the other two.
@[Deleted User] said:
That gas idea sounds really strong and way too free, especially for 3 genning.
Yea the numbers would probably need some tweaks to prevent that from being too strong or maybe he could only charge a set amount of bottles throughout the match but it was Confirmed clown is being changed so let's see what they do to him.
-
Right here. Despite all the bugs I still enjoy playing her..most of the time.
-
I pretty much main Nurse on console and yeah I'd definitely like to play against more Nurses but sadly it's been months since I've even seen one. For less of it'd probably be Deathslinger.

Ah. That makes more sense. And it's just straight down, right? He can't throw the special bottle?
Yep he would walk to an area and activate it and the area would be covered in the gas to prevent survivors from going there. The idea is to create map pressure in a way that doesn't involve teleporting or moving across the map super fast which is what all of the other high tier killers have and denying an area from the survivors does a good job at this.
-
@OniKobayashi said:
So they'd go down just for being round him? 45 seconds of Super Whispers that is either go down or reveal your position. That would be a drastic buff that would make him definately above other Killers. The ability would have to be drastically reduced in duration for it to be anywhere near balanced. Or at most adjust how it affects Survivors based on what's in between them and the Clown.
Not around him but around an area where he decides to activate the ability. Ideally around a generator or maybe in other cases a really strong loop to basically lockout that area for survivors.
