    Indeed.

The problem i always see (well 99% of the time), is that the killer goes for the unhooked person and mori that 1 after 1 hook.

Which is really annoying and pretty sad to do so.

    Agreed.

I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong when it comes to how the game is supposed to be played.

    Read a little closer.

    I specified two requirements.

    Last Survivor

    Passing other hooks.

If they weren't going for the challege the survivor would be dead anyways. Only reason at that point is to deny someone a challenge. That's being an #########.

I'm not saying you should do it. I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong when it comes to how the game is supposed to be played. Just don't think that doing so isn't being an #########.

    [edit] I misread

Survivor Final Objective = ESCAPE, NOT “complete killer challenge”

I think the Green and Yellow Mori's are fine right now. Green is definitely strong, but not broken. I think having to hook everyone once with an Ebony Mori is more than fair. It prevents immediate tunneling and gives the Survivors some chance.

As for Keys, I think the Green Key needs to have a default aura reading of Killer possesion's and a use time of 10 seconds. Not super useful, but not useless.

Purple Key can no longer open black locks. In return, it has a use time of 20 seconds with a default aura read on ALL other Survivors. No range limit.

Pink Key, default Blood Amber, keeps the default drain of Blood Amber, so it drains hella fast. Keep the current usage time. Can unlock black locks after a DS skill check.

As for the add-ons that will be getting added to the Keys, make it so that the add-ons you get in the BloodWeb for these, like Blood Amber, decrease the drain time on that specific Key.

Ebony Mori does not prevent immediate tunneling.

Entitlement: the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment.

You: "I shouldn't be punished with a derank when I'm tunneled and eliminated early even though I lost the game"

I mean, if it looks like a duck and quacks, it's entitled.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck. 😃

For real guy, you win. Now, enjoy your day lmao. Stop dragging it on. I’ll let you get the last reply and I promise I won’t reply cause the thread is dead my dude.

@Mushwin was in the match and she did all five gens with help from a Laurie. :)

What is your proudest dbd moment?

I stalked a Freddy for a minute through the corn field after he tunneled my teammate. We lost, but it was a funny moment for my squad.

So basically, you want to be coddled if you get eliminated early. You want to be immune from pip loss. Wow. That literally defines entitlement. Thanks for proving my point.

Also, speaking of personal attacks - you're officially the only one who's done that now. Congrats on forfeiting your entire rhetoric by resorting to name calling.

Actually, you did that when you created this ridiculous, nonsensical thread.

    “Offense is taken, not given”.

No, I’m not entitled as you can literally still de-pip mid-late game for not doing anything the game requires you to.

But yes, sure. Lol you’re objective in this thread is to try and win, so I’ll let you have it.

Have a great one dude! ✌🏽

Yes, you are an #########. Is it okay to be an #########? Yes. Just don't pretend you're not.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/948470#Comment_948470

I did not personally attack anyone. Offense is taken, not given. It's not me that can't answer. I gave you a logical answer based on your own backwards, entitled survivor logic, and you rejected it because reality doesn't suit your delicate sensibilities.

The point is, tunneling and camping are both legitimate and effective strategies. Straight from the developers. Camping is legitimate, and effective because survivors allow it to happen. Tunneling is efficient. It makes logical sense to use the most efficient method possible for killing a survivor (or winning on either side). For example, as I said before, it's efficient to have more than one generator in progress at one time from a survivor standpoint. It a strategy that gets generators done faster due to the diminished return in repair speed that multiple people working on a single generator has. It's *the most efficient way to get generators done*.

Just like tunneling, whether you like it or not, is the most efficient way to eliminate someone early, which GREATLY tips the odds in the killers favor. It's not fun to be tunneled; but overall, losing isn't fun in general. If you want a game where tunneling isn't a thing, this is the wrong genre for you.

Your argument doesn't even exist and is completely invalid; because tunneling (and camping) is part of the game. Again, direct from the devs. Is it scummy at times? Yeah, sure. Is it effective? You bet your ass it is. Especially if all you care about is kills and not pips, like a lot of us do.

So again - be less entitled. You are not entitled to an escape. You have a chance to escape the second you spawn into the game. If it doesn't work out, tough noogies.

Thank you! 👏🏽 Finally an explanation from you rather than being a smart ass.

Still, not entitled. Once again, I literally play 80% of the time as a killer, the other as a survivor with my group.

Yes, tunneling is a part of the game. It’s a viable strategy in most cases against weak teams.

I’m not complaining about tunneling. I know it’s impossible to restrict a killer in this type of game from doing so. I’m talking about the penalty on the one survivor who is removed rather quickly causing de-pip. Nothing to do with the team, the killer, or the fact you can just boot up another match.

    Thank you.

Yeah you see people on PC unfortunately aren't that excited to get "tormented" in a fun way hahah I mean I get you I totally do that to but then the comments are unbelievable xd and I would say 1 in 20 matches we get fun match etc.

Yeah, I get it. I play the game for excitement and adrenaline. When I’m not the killer, I like to be caught off guard. When I am, I try to catch people off guard. I hate killers so I avoid them. But if I quickly expel a team, I let one go. Or if I realize I’m better, I drag the game on letting them get BP, probably let all of them escape, or take 1-2 with me.

  • @Cassandra_Alexandra said:

I’ve seen messages here and there on the forum referring to people who run away from basement as toxic when they know the killers needs it for the trophy and I was messaged them same thing. I’ve never been one to body block, dcn, teabag, etc., but it seems there are always new ways for survivors to be called toxic. It’s such an ambiguous term. I was playing as Kate on Freddy map and I use Boil which I’ve been using long before the challenges. That school basement is a great place for the trapper to camp and get all his kills. He was hooking everyone in there and he had that place trapped like crazy and he was patrolling the halls like a nasty hall monitor. I tried to rescue people but either he or traps would impede my progress. He would always find me and I’d run away in the other direction. He caught me several times but could not get me to the basement. So I’m toxic now because I run the other way and won’t give him an easy basement hook/kill? I don’t expect anything handed to me by killers. If a killer messaged and asked me for help then yeah I’d prolly do it.

Because most of the time, basement is easier to control than freely standing hooks. It might not always be a challenge. Most trappers like it because, trap the stairs and any doorway escape and you can catch the survivor coming for the rescue or otw out. It’s not toxic in my opinion but I also rarely hook basement or try to.

It's a counter argument using your own logic. It's absolutely a rebuttal. What you're doing is basically saying "nuh uh! im right and ur wrong omg!"

Yet, here I am, asking why you think that way and here you are, trying to attack me personally. Please guy, nowhere did I say or insinuate “I’m right, you’re wrong”. My problem was with those that strayed from my point. It had nothing to do with punishing killers for tunneling. It was about not punishing early-game deaths on survivors.

So, let’s try this again. What is your basis for your argument? Why should survivors be penalized if they complete 2 gens in a “short time”? Or do you not have a basis?

If you can’t answer, then thanks. Have a nice one!

  • @SambaSaw said:

I mean.. I'm playing in red ranks and it takes so long to find a match and if I find one its rank 2 rank 2 rank 3 rank 4 vs rank 9 killer. He chases for entire game while the others just sit on gens. And every single game is so monotone. Even as a killer. Chase, down, hook, chase, stun, hook. Its not satisfying anymore to do anything in this game. There are rare games when I actually get to have fun. Its when surv aren't toxic and actually are nice in chat. That is the best thing in dbd by far.

Idk man, playing as killer on Xbox is fairly simple and fun. You do get toxic survivors but I can still clean house of reds and not be toxic, tunnel, etc. I try my best for Jump surprises and tormenting them in a fun way. I get messages quite often about how fun I was to play against.

  • @The_Second_Coming said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/948415#Comment_948415

The rebuttal was before the entitlement bit. Or did you skip that part?

That was not a rebuttal. Simple saying that’s the “equivalent” of something without explaining why is not a rebuttal. Why should survivors be penalized for that? I’m saying survivors shouldn’t be penalized for dying within the first couple minutes of gameplay because they cannot control intentional tunneling. As in, a killer avoiding all contact with other player to eliminate a single player. Penalizing survivors for completing 2 gens in a “short time”? Define “short time”. A killer has perks that block gens to help patrolling or to slow progress. They can also patrol gens instead of being looped. What’s your basis behind it? Explain. That’s what a discussion is for instead of claiming someone is entitled because of an opinion, an opinion of which I’ve made clear and have tried to stay on point with.

  • @The_Second_Coming said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/944977#Comment_944977

No. It is not. It is literally the equivalent of saying "why aren't survivors penalized for doing 2 gens in a short time?". Be less entitled.

Where is entitlement my guy? Come up with a legitimate argument or rebuttal instead of just throwing out “be less entitled”. I’m actually giving out ideas and trying to brainstorm a neutral ground between both. I can’t really be entitled if I’m literally a killer main requesting a tweaking of survivors being penalized for being eliminated in the first couple minutes of a game.

If players were rewarded for getting tunneled it would generate perverse incentive to chase the killer down and get killed, maybe even just suicide on the hook.

But, as mentioned before, they don’t have to be rewarded. They can simply not be penalized because they did not have the option to optimally play.

Are you familiar with RTS/4x games? A lot of those have a Time-Limit Treaty to prevent advanced players from steamrolling Intermediate or Novice players. Obviously, we don’t need a 5-10minute treaty because that’s enough time to finish the game or at least knock out a few gens.

Let say, a 90-120 second penalty delay BUT BP is still awarded to each because more than likely a chase will ensue.

Now here’s the catch, because this penalty delay or “treaty” can promote survivor or killer DC due to circumstances. This is where the DC penalty comes into play that I’ve heard they’re working on. There is obviously no work around hook suicide because it’s very hard to build an algorithm around intelligently identifying intentional hook suicide. But, this prevents survivor penalty from being tunneled and awards a killer still for hooking a survivor.

    any input on that?

  • (Xbox Gameplay)

Here’s what we get as a killer:

I killed a survivor, I did not tunnel, he literally flash-lighted me every time I hooked his teammate and proceeded to attempt an unhook in front of me after flash lighting. The entire rest of the match, he is blowing up my inbox.

    Messages: “Trash” “🤡” “😂” “💀💀💀” etc.

Kill another survivor: They react the same.

I get a 4K and my inbox is being blown up.

This happens in nearly every other game on Xbox.

Here’s what we get as a survivor:

Killer tunnels 1-2 survivors at the start, no gens are done. Killer injures the last two, lets them finish gens, kills them at gate.

    OR

Killer slugs everyone, drags out the game or kills 3 people and literally trolls the 4th survivor although that survivor may have given up.

I see it every day I play. You will have your less toxic matches and then your insanely toxic matches. But every now and then you can actually get a match where the killer acts funny, or is acting really scary but not trolling and letting the survivors play when they realize they’re better.

A hot topic nowadays is the swf nightmare that consoles killers face. If you didn't know, like me,in PlayStation platforms and Xbox killers are faced with swf almost 100% of the time.

The raw ability of communication is powerful. In addition to this, most swf have a red rank survivor that knows how to loop some purple and 20% of the time green. And I'm talking whenever you play in the GREEN ranks as killer.

So what can be done to make the game a bit more balanced, without damaging the random survivor experience? I suggest to either make it so A.the killer gets some kind of rewards (extra pb,protection against loss of add-ons ),make swf to have only 2 players or just delete swf and make it available only in costum games.

What do you guys think. Let me know down below.

The game is based around being a 1v4, what sense would it make to limit your party to 2 people? You want the game to die? A lot of the population consists of kids from my experience on Xbox since it’s part of GP. Kids like to play with their friends. It is honestly not that difficult to handle a 4-man.

This should be priority over anything, cause a pallet stun doesn't get you out from a game, but the horrendous hitboxes do.

If this site allowed me to attach my Xbox clips I’d show you from both sides. You can’t complain about one and not the other. Survivors get hit when they’re 5 feet away, killers get stunned when they’re 5 feet away. Survivors get hit through pallets and killers miss obvious hits that should’ve hit. I played a Freddy last night, he was about 5 feet from me, swiped at me, it hits BUT moments prior the same motion he missed. So, you never know. Happens to me as a killer where I’ll wait behind a wall and the survivor drops a pallet and I get stunned.

Playing Ghostface on Haddenfield vs a full 4 man swf.

Got 2 kills and I was chasing an Injured Yui to an Exit Gate, she was running to the exit gate and she turns off to the pallet behind a house so I decided to keep straight to cut her off from the exit.

Somehow... Someway and I mean straight up BS, The Yui drops the pallet..... She drops the plucking pallet that I'm nowhere near...... the game registers it and gives her a stun......... REALLY??? I'm running straight to go around and cut her off and somehow that bs stunned me???

So she makes it to the exit gate and starts to teabag....... Don't teabag when you're in a full swf on Haddenfield and the game literally saves your butt.

That genuinely pissed me off. This game has a huge hitbox problem or should I say, "Latency."

    Ridiculous.

Yeah, we Killers can’t complain about that. I play my fair share of both sides and can say there are a lot, A LOT of BS killer hits as well. Behind pallets, from meters away, etc.

Hit-boxes in this game is like rolling dice.

You said everyone who disagrees was incapable of understanding the argument. That's an attack ad hominem. Saying you are making an attack ad hominem isn't an attack ad hominem, or else you saying that I was the only one doing it would also be one by your own logic.

People here understand the argument, they just disagree with you. That does not make them stupid.

Eh. Very few actually understand or understood the argument. The argument wasn’t shunning Tunneling in general. It was more of a disagreement that a survivor should be penalized if they’re tunneled early-game, as in, no gens have been completed but a killer chose to tunnel them and them only. Regardless if the team tried to help.

The majority were arguing that tunneling is a viable strategy, that the other survivors can take advantage of an early-game tunnel by completing gens, that if you get tunneled you’re bad, or that you were probably trolling, etc.

My argument wasn’t that tunneling wasn’t necessary as it is in certain cases or as a clap back at someone trolling. I, also, clearly stated several times that I was not talking from a team perspective, as in the team can escape or complete gens during the tunnel. It wasn’t about learning to loop or the fact that you held a killer in a loop for ‘x’ amount of time.

My argument is, that sole survivor that is tunneled, despite possibly looping a killer til end game, will still not be rewarded. They will more than likely be punished with a de-pip, especially if they are killed off early. That gives that survivor no chance to actually be of objective use to his or her team to actually gain a pip or BP. A killer can ruin their own game by doing this if they do not kill the other survivors or draw the game. But, it’s more in the killers favor because they can eliminate a survivor within the first 2-3 minutes, causing that survivor to de-pip and the killer can progress.

End of discussion from my end to you.

Depends. Console survivors vs PC survivor is basically identical. Console survivor can hug loops a little more smoothly.

Console killer vs PC killer is where the difference comes in. Due to poor frame rate and low sensitivity console suffers with specific killers that thrive on PC.

While I think PC would bring killers such as Nurse and Huntress to life on console (because they are 1 in a million right now) I don't see any huge advantage they would have on most of the roster.

I see a lot of Huntress of Xbox. Rarely see Nurse since she’s been “nerfed”.

It all boils down to FPS imo not only that accuracy will be better dealt through PC players. I, personally, might swap back to my PC if this happens. I only returned to Xbox as that’s where most of my friends are.

So, it's always a never-ending battle that way... I appreciate you taking the time out to try and be polite and whatnot! Keep it up!

    I’m a killer main.

Also, far from biased as I understand situational tunneling. I.e. 3-4 gens popped and you tunnel to save face. EGC and you tunnel to save face.

What I don’t understand are killers complaining that “gen-rush” is toxic or annoying or whatever term you want to use. Killers have counter perks and with decent map pressure can actually nullify a “gen-rush”.

Name the perks that aid in tunneling? Yes, a survivor can escape the killer with most, but if the killer is a great chaser, they won’t. Or if the survivor is a bad looper, they won’t. Most speed boost perks lead to exhaustion, which slow you down and it doesn’t fade during a chase or sprint. DS is a one and done perk.

Instead of trying to attack me lol actually give your opinion, a constructive opinion like everyone else on why you think one or the other is worse or if neither is.

Yes, because it's the same thing. No BP's, a depip, and a loss. Why should the killer always be reactive to what survivors do?

What 10 perks counter a gen rush? Ruin can go down instantly. Corrupt helps the early game, then nothing else. Pop works if you can catch and hook a survivor. Thanataphobia works if you can keep them injured, but still barely helps.

Borrowed time, DS, Iron Will, loops, quick and quiet, dance with me, lightweight, etc.

Again, you desperately want to label me as a bad killer and tunneler because I am disagreeing with you. I rarely tunnel any more, but I understand why killers do it.

You get tunneled, you depip, move on to the next game. Just like getting rushed and looped.

Last post to you, until I get my builds for the other guy. This is more of an informative post since you don’t know of the perks. Counter-perks to “gen rush” and “looping” which are the majority reason for tunneling

Nurse’s Calling - See auras of healing survivors

    Bamboozle - Blocks vault locations

BBQ - see other survivors when hooking a survivor

Bitter Murmur - see auras if survivors when a gen is completed

Corrupt Intervention - Blocks 3 farthest gens from you for up to 120 seconds.

    Coulrophobia - slows healing

Cruel Limits - blocks vault locations when a gen is completed

Discordance - Shows what gen has two or more survivors on it.

Fire up - gives a speed buff to killer for each gen completed

Franklins Demise - knock items from survivors

Devour Hope - Exposed status, possible Mori on token gain

    Haunted Grounds - Exposed Status

Huntress Lullaby - added regression for missed skill checks, no skill check warning, shorter window for skill check and no sound.

No One Escapes Death - In its name.

Ruin - penalty for good skill checks, none for great.

Knock Out - no aura for dying survivors outside of range

Make Your Choice - Exposed Status for unhooking

Mindbreaker - exhausted status for gens repairing under 50%

    Overcharge - “impossible” skill check

Pop - 25% regression to gens after hooking survivor

Spirit Fury - Instantly destroys pallet

Surge - Putting a survivor into dying state pops surround gens and regresses them

Surveillance - all regressed gens are highlighted white, then yellow when regression is stopped

Tinkerer - when a gen is at 85% you have a 0 terror radius

Thanatophobia- up to 4% slowdown on survivor capabilities per injured survivor

Thrilling Tremors - All gens not being repaired are blocked for 16 seconds when a survivor is picked up

Unnerving Presence - increased chance of skill checks

  • @BoomBoom420 said:

If any of this takes effect, think about safe hook rescues and perks affected by them, not to mention if a survivor were just unhooked and started healing, apparently you are a duck if you go and hit them. my God... 😂🤦🏽‍♂️ I give up with this thread lmfao. You all have created this sense of “this dude wants killers to be punished because of tunneling”. No, I killer main. Tunneling is strategic for mid-late game called, it’s toxic early-game. In a case like this, I don't tunnel at all, in fact, I will actively not tunnel. I will slug you if I have to, but I won't instantly rehook. When you get a survivor that tries to abuse the god loops, or legit knows the map and how to abuse it, then I get into tunnel mode.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945474#Comment_945474

Again, the entitlement is strong with this one. You don't want to penalize a survivor for doing the objective, but you do want to penalize the killer for doing the objective. Tunneling is the exact same as a gen rush, eliminating the objective as fast as possible. The only difference is that the generator doesn't run away. Gen rush = no pip for killer, tunneling = no pip for survivor. Gen rush has counters, so does tunneling.

You're seriously comparing “gen-rush” to tunneling?

There are literally like 10+ perks for countering “gen-rush”. You claim I’m entitled, yet again, but completely let the point soar over your pea-sized brain.

Tunneling because of a “gen-rush” is acceptable. Tunneling before any gen has been completed is toxic.

What counters a tunnel? Especially, early game where the survivor has no chance to pip but will de-pip.

The tunneling I’m referring to, as has been mentioned, is.... when the killer is targeting one survivor despite maybe 0-1 gens been completed. Ignores other survivors and literally just goes for that one.

Nowhere here is there a sense of entitlement. Especially when I’m a KILLER MAIN that opposes early-game tunneling. If you are that bad that you’re only excuse to tunneling is “but gEn rUsH” then you need to practice more as killer or use viable perks to counter it. You can’t counter a tunnel. Yeah, your team might escape but you de-pip. This discussion isn’t about a TEAM it’s about a SINGLE SURVIVOR being penalized. Jesus.

    COMPREHENSION IS KEY.

Oh okay. Yeah, sure. Debate. Every damn post here is a "debate". I've picked this game back up after playing it when it first came out. There's a few things to talk about, but tunneling isn't one. Does it suck? Yeah. But it's there. If a killer wants to kill you, and only you, then make it difficult for him so your team has time to do gens. And there are counters. It's called looping. And DS. And others that others have mentioned. And sorry, you are bitching. You came here because you hate that it happens to you and your disguising it as a "debate". As a killer main, I'd love to tunnel your ass everytime knowing you come here to cry. Entity displeased be damned.

Lmao the ignorance is seriously strong with you. Before you attempt to attack me, go back and read each and every post I made. I’m pro-tunnel when it comes to mid-late game. I’m anti-tunnel early game because it impacts the survivor negatively.

I’m a killer main, play survivor with my group. You would probably get looped by me into a rage.

Let’s not use perks as a cure all to tunneling. It’s all been discussed prior to your ignorant statements.

A few of you in here most be going through some hormonal changes with your threats of tunneling people 🤦🏽‍♂️ That doesn’t bother me. I play for enjoyment. This is a post in defense of survivors that are penalized for early-game tunneling.

You having problems at home or something bud? Arguments can be made without trying to insult someone, that’s how you know you lack the intelligence to try and argue the actual point and not the person behind the text.

You're triggered because you started this pathetic topic and have been posting multiple paragraph responses for 6 pages. Try and keep up, much like the killers do with you after you get unhooked.

    You’re right.

So what's your secret? 3 minutes in, 4 gens already popped VS SWF. You walk away from a gen and someone instantly walks around a corner to work on it again because you are chasing his teammate and he knows he is safe.

Even a solid 3-gen strategy can't hold up to 4 survivors aggressively attacking the gens. Eventually you lose.

So tell us your strategy for red rank SWF please, sense. Also state the killers you use.

I’ve done this already... lol. I literally did on I believe the first page and throughout.

Killers are more than enough equipped to handle it... when I get home I’ll be glad to post my builds on all killers I play.

LMAO His argument is just as solid as yours in the tunneling forum. If you can whine so can the OP. Hypocrisy is petty. And an open mind? How about they take a look at your thread and see if you have an "open mind." Smdh

Lmfao. You just have to be the center of attention don’t you? Please, have them take a look at my thread. I have more of an open-mind than the majority commenting. I’m a killer main in opposition of tunneling early-game. That’s open-minded. Not quite sure what you think about it that isn’t? Do enlighten me though!

  • @gantes said:

Survivors never spawn all on separate gens unless the killer burns an offering for that.

If and only if they spread out, they'll also take quite some time to find separate gens to work on.

If they do that, you'll most likely find at least one of them while you're chasing another one, in which case you should drop the chase and disrupt the gen.

You're all assuming that they'll 1. work on separate gens 2. you won't find a single one of them while you're chasing the first 3. they won't 3-gen themselves, because if they do they lose 4. your first chase will take over 80 seconds. At least half of that is under your control.

And if they bring OP stuff, so can you.

As I said on another discussion, don't play like a bot and you'll find yourself being "genrushed" a lot less.

    BINGO!

A solid endgame build is a playstyle. Killers dont need to wait for the endgame to "punish" survivors actions or a lack of action. We can call tunneling and genrush a punishment, but two sides just collide together. If killer doesnt apply pressure to everyone, just use it to your advantage.

Anyone can play the game any way they like. The topic starter is triggered, because his team dont repair generators, but he put all guilt on tunneling killer, who, BTW, expected to be genrushed. Other survivors choosed to break totems, farm hooks, open chests and do anything but the main objective, yet, they are not punished for it. Hey, lets punish the killer.

How am I triggered? You’re off point. My team completed the objective AND escaped. Also, where did I mention we planned a gen-rush? Me and my group or just a single friend never plan to gen-rush. We actually rarely run toolboxes. We’re mostly an altruistic team that completes gens at a moderate pace. My point is, killers that tunnel a survivor 2-3x in a row ignoring other survivors.

You’ve proved your bias towards tunneling, now move along.

While it doesn't happen all the time, it does happen; I've genrushed killers and been genrushed many times after almost 2k hours of play. How many times in total? Not really sure, but enough time for me to notice there's a problem, because I think something like this should not be able to happen at all.

You see those perks I’ve mentioned? They apply pressure to gens. Gen-rushing is such an excuse for poor pressure or gameplay as a killer. You brought up a best case that I RARELY see. Not including, every survivor must not miss a skill check, the killer must not touch those gens, and the killer must be running very low-level perks to not counter a gen rush. You can spot a gen-rush team in the pregame lobby. There’s no excuse for not adjusting.

  • @Hopesfall said:

how can someone apply pressure to 4 gens at once? just wondering

corrupt intervention, discordance, fire up ,franklins demise ,huntress lullaby ,Ruin, Mind breaker ,overcharge, pop goes the weasel, surveillance ,tinkerer , Thanatophobia, thrilling tremors, unnerving presence

Its not just about you being at the gen. Your perks help a lot with pressure.

  • @Xerge said:

It can take you about 30 seconds to find a survivor.

30 seconds to down the survivor.

10 seconds to pick him up and hook him.

20 seconds to walk to a gen that is being worked on.

Those are 90 seconds and in 90 seconds 3 gens can pop (even with ruin), but it's not because the chase took too long and I don't think a killer that can end a chase in 30 seconds is a bad killer.

You’re talking literal best case scenario.

It takes 80 seconds without ruin for a single survivor without a toolbox to complete a gen. With the best toolbox, 60 seconds, solo, no ruin. Add the 3-5% regression for Good Skill checks and the 0% regression/progression for Great Skill checks. The chances of 3 generators popping, with ruin, and you getting a survivor is slim.

  • @Raptorrotas said:

If all you did was failing to loop, juke or ditch the killer then you're not getting penalised for getting tunneled.

You simply failed to do anything of worth in that trial. Thats why you're getting "penalized"

    🤦🏽‍♂️

  • @Ace_Of_Spades said:

Dude just play kill your friends. That way you don't have to worry about skill.

My guy... it’s nothing skill-based in my argument. I’m a red survivor and I can get tunneled from the start by a green killer and die. It’s about early game tunneling. I don’t care if I’m tunneled mid-to-late game, after I’ve had a chance to be of assistance to my team. My beef is with dying 2-3 minutes into the game and losing pips because of it. I can loop all I want but eventually I’m caught when I’m the primary focus of a petty killer.

  • @LieutenantRaage said:

    He's a killer main and I'm a duck.

    Quack.

This thread has inspired me to go tunnel the weakest and most undeserving survivor in my next few matches and burn some ebony moris I've been saving for the ones left over.

I'm going to do it for no other reason then because I feel like it and because it's a completley valid playstyle, and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

sooo... you want what? A standing ovation?

I want to hit rank 1 for the achievement on PC. I have all of them on ps4 just wanna repeat that here. But I can do it without being a jerk to peeps. But I play it for the points if I'm not thinking of rank.

It’s actually fairly simple to rank up on both sides of the court. I still rank my killer while having fun. It’s much easier as a killer than a survivor. That’s my opinion though.

Usually when you get tunneled you are in the injured state. So, you can't really loop the killer that long.

Agreed. Which is why I also throw out speed perks as an anti-tunnel suggestion. Exhausted hurts.

I've been playing as legion and freddy in their potato states and their not so bad states and can almost consistently 4k without tunneling and camping people. If I find someone I hooked already I just leave them or down them and leave. I also understand that ######### isn't fun when it happens so I don't do it to people but a lot of the people that play killer don't care because"its part of the game" Yes but that doesn't mean you have to be a dick about it. Just because a survivor player has the potential to look.you a whole game doesn't mean they will because most won't. So don't treat them like ######### because we all play this game because we find it fun and enjoy it. Let everyone have fun.

I agree. I stopped playing killer for rank and focus on fun. Which is where I’m coming at with this discussion. I see no need in tunneling unless you play an extremely good team but then that’s the tunneling I support.

Here's the problem with you being so defensive.

The argument that you're ignoring is literally the most important one.

Players can't do anything about the situation, only the devs can.

Your ire is pointed at killers who tunnel when it should be pointed at the devs who make the situation possible.

They are penalized because of the system the devs implemented, not because the killer chose to play that way.

I'm being facetious when I say the survivors deserve to be penalized, but I suppose you missed that.

Again, get mad at the devs because they're the only ones who can change it.

Asking killers not to tunnel when they want to tunnel is like asking you to let it go.

    It's not going to happen.

    lol prove me wrong.

I’m not asking them to play any way. The whole discussion is based around your suggestion of the devs implementing a new system to prevent survivors from de-pipping when not having the chance to play.

You consider me defensive because the majority of the arguments on this thread have completely eluded the topic at hand and are mostly about the tunneling I support. Like your video.

You can penalize gen rushing by slugging with noed. Assuming they don't cleanse noed you got it. Also bring blood warden so if a gate gets opened or you know its happening hook block the exit go get em

I need more individuals like you to comment. You have a better understanding like the other 3-4 that actually understand killers have a way to not tunnel.
