  • I love that everyone claims 'Camping will chase away new Survivors' & offer solutions that would chase away new Killers...But these same people never mention that part. 🤔

It's almost like they don't really care about balance or the health of the game. They just want to skew the power dynamic more towards Survivor & get something they can abuse.

  • 'Camping was abused...Let's let people do that again!'

    Hard pass.

Tbh most people who defend camping are probably campers, since if someone doesn’t camp then they wouldn’t care if it got changed, as they wouldn’t be affected.

Rofl. Sure, buddy. 'if you disagree with me, you must abuse the mechanic.'

It's not like we might be smart enough to realize, based on past experience and logic, that the idea is bad. Heaven forbid we disagree and have logic and history on our side. No, that would mean you're wrong. And you can't be wrong, so we must probably want to abuse the mechanic. 🙄

    How about this?

Most people who want to change camping are just salty they got camped and want to remove whatever prevents them from winning.

    Or this?

Most people who want a punishment for camping just want a mechanic they can abuse so they get free unhooks.

(Oh wait; this one ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Well don't that just beat all! It almost like I have logic on my side and..you're....wrong! 😧)

But that doesn't make a difference. If a survivor camps just outside of the radius or is anywhere else outside of the radius, either a killer is just standing at the hook and camping or knows you are there, finds you and then you are in a chase. I mean there is not telltale for a killer if a survivors is near a hook or not, except maybe for Barbeque and Chili. Just camping outside of the radius isn't abusing the mechanic in any way.

I doubt that many killers will leave the game just because they can't camp anymore. Definitely not as much as survivors leaving the game because the game is no fun to them when they get camped. And I mean, the longer killer queue times are not hypothetical. Personally I wouldn't mind if they got shortened, by having more people play survivor again.

You're ignoring the most important part:

The Devs tried hook-camping punishments. Survivors abused the mechanic!

That's right; the same Survivors screaming for hook punishments showed they can't be trusted. They showed that they would abuse any mechanic put in to give themselves a free unhooking.

It was tried. It sucked. Accept hook camping as a bad, legit strat. Nothing else will work. It would either be unfair for Killers, OP for Survivors, or abused again.

The point was that this build is unfair for the survivor hooked, so if all counters to this build are gone, I'm just right

You're basically making up hypothetical after hypothetical because you don't want a discussion; you want to win. To be right.

It does not matter what logic or comments are given to you; you will just make up another event, and ANOTHER event, and ANOTHER event to be right.

You don't want a solution, and you don't want a discussion. You just want to keep making up hypothetical situations until people give up because you've countered everything they say. It does not matter is 90% of it won't happen in one match. It CAN happen, and that makes you right.

There's no point in discussing it with you. I mean, you said it yourself 'If all counters are removed, I'm right'. You don't care that there's counters because you will counter the counters, and then counter whatever counters people tell you after that. Because you want to be right.

Have you read my post? I know it's a legit strategy. I know it can be bad when played properly by the survivors. But it's bad design. The fact that it can be still as effective as it can be right now. Why ignore low ranked players? Don't you want the game to grow?

As I said, the radius could just be increased for radius. Or also have the penalty not apply whenever the killer is in a chase. Something I forgot to add and will add.

    The radius does not matter.

Survivors will, just like last time, figure out where it ends and camp there. This will force Killers to either get punished or give up a free unhooking because the game is FORCING it on them.

Again; a punishment was tried. Survivors found that magic area where the Killer was punished for camping while the Survivor was nearby to unhook their friend. It, like I said, forced the Killer to either be punished or walk away for a free unhooking.

And if you force that kind of non-choice on new Killer players, and old ones, Killers WILL leave. And it will be more of them than your hypothetical Survivors. No one would want to play a game that slaps them in the face when the other team abuses the mechanic.

  • @Leonardo1ita said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/663461#Comment_663461

This strategy doesn't work. The hag teleports and you are now face to face with her. If you try to unhook she will just grab you

You're literally just going to keep making up counters to any suggestion made. It's not possible to discuss with someone who just want to push and push and push to be right instead of accepting opposing viewpoints.

  • Here we go for the 5000000000th time.

    Camping is a legit strat.

Camping defeats itself by being a BAD legit strat.

There used to be a punishment to camping: Survivors found out how to abuse it to screw over Killers.

Camping is part of the game.

Complaining about camping is like going to the Overwatch forums to complain about sniping. 'I think Snipers need to be nerfed. Sniping takes skill, but new players are going to get sniped nonstop & can't snipe back. So sniping will chase new players away.'

If you slow down the bleedout, guess what Survivors do?

They stay just far enough away to force the Killer to camp for 5 minutes & lose the game, or the Killer has to walk away & give up a free unhook. This is EXACTLY what happened with the old punishment; Survivors would stay just outside the Killer's TR, so the game thought 'he's camping for no reason!' & punished the Killer.

If you reveal the Killer's aura after <x> time, guess what?

Insidious is now useless. Remove the perk. Again; Survivors stay just far enough away to trigger the punishment, forcing the Killer to eat it or walk away.

People need to stop with the 'Nerf/Punish/Remove Camping' threads. They're either wrong on many levels, or want to remove it simply because they hate it and want everyone to conform to their rule book.

Punishments were tried. They were abused. Camping is how it is. Stop.

Alright then, you all say that flashlights completely counter this build...what if I state they actually don't? This is true.

You just need to set all your traps near the hook, and once you hear the survivor destroying just 1 of them, just teleport to the hook.

And now what? You are face to face with the rescuer, who can NOT try to rescue if he doesn't want to get grabbed. And this only if they have a flashlight

Then you spent 40+ seconds placing every trap near 1 hook. That's half the repair time of 1 generator, done solo without a toolkit.

That's 40 seconds 3 Survivors are doing gens while you scribble in the dirt.

But heaven forbid a Killer's power allow then to stop an unhooking, apparently. I had someone call me a camper recently for using my Hag power to protect a hooked Survivor, and they were too stupid to crouch or clear the trap. Repeatedly.

But it was MY FAULT they kept falling for it, according to them.

All right, folks! Pack it in! Killers are no longer allowed to use their power to secure Hooks! Just stop hooking Survivors! It's apparently OP to secure kills now!

I've played just as much killer as survivor, I'm just not a baby about it.

Allowing killers to scope out who they're playing and possibly harass certain players they don't like is inherently toxic.

There is not a single benefit to seeing player names/profiles passed that of harassing people you've been beaten by/have issues with.

I'll say it again: When 3-4 people load in with theme-names & all the same items?

    I dodge.

They don't have a right to ruin my game with their troll builds. And 9 times out of 10, that's what they are looking for. They don't want to win the game; they want to make sure I rage quit or have the worst game anyone has ever had, ever.

Hiding names. Hiding characters. Hiding items.

All these do is allow toxic SWF teams to run around treating the solo Killers like jokes and punching bags for their 'l33t uber 420 Bully The Killars SOMETHING AWESOME HAPPENS IF YOU SUBSCRIBE!' youtube montages & twitch streams.

Playing Killer is stressful enough WITHOUT giving the SWF toxic landfills an easier way to do their crap. And I'll fight (IE: Discuss! Not literally fight!) anyone on this point any day and every day.

  • I guess switching Killer would also mean this build is OP, since they'd be avoiding the flashlights working on Hag? 🙄

  • @Leonardo1ita said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/663365#Comment_663365

It's not a fair synergy because there is 0 counter unless survivors have a Flashlight, which can be prevented by chasing the survivor that has it & dodge the lobby if you see multiple flashlights in a game.

You can lobby dodge ANY tool that would counter your Killer loadout. Not just as Hag.

    Two; it's still counter-able. EASILY counter-able.

I'm just tired of seeing '<x> is somewhat good as a Killer. Better remove/nerf it!' on these forums. It seems to be a theme that if something can kill more than 1 Survivor every 5 games, someone somewhere will want it changed/removed/nerfed.

  • So using two add-ons plus a perk is..unfair? So using synergies is unfair now? Come on, guys.

  • @Thasard said:

I do see how knowing who the killer is could give to much info, but no way in hell does a killer need to know what I'm carrying to decide if he should Dodge or add Franklin's....

In every way in hell does the Killer need to know what you bring in.

WHO you are is useless info, what with teachable perks. We don't get to know what perks you have.

So are you going to actually say that we should not know what item you carry? May as well make the lobby a blank screen.

Survivors gets to plan what they want to do; sabo/gens faster, heal, stun Killers.

Killers get to see, in a general sense, what this plan is and prepare for it. But we don't see your perks & can't plan for them.

Seeing items is fine. I wish people would stop trying to nerf everything a Killer can do except M1.

  • @remember_me88 said:

I think killers should not see the survivors

There are huge disadvantages coming with this.

I know the killer needs to have an upper hand, but does he really need it?

    I dont think so.

Due to the fact that ever1 plays with same 4 or 5 perks (BBQ,...) it isnt a perk related reason to keep this as it is.

Add Ons does not affect toolboxes or flashlight, yeah sure... you can change your perks but it should be luck based as it is for the survs.

I had so much games where Calm Spirit or Distortion were useless.

Why do I have to risk this but the killer dont.

    P S. DCiers are noobs

You say this but I'll admit right now; when 3-4 people all spawn in at the same time with a name-theme or just all Bloody carrying 3-4 of the same item; I dodge.

Why? because those groups are not trying to do gens & win. They want, beyond ANYTHING else, to make me unhappy. You know they are running every second chance perk & they will try their damndest to make sure I ragequit or have a horrible game.

Every hook will be at 99%. Every down will be an insta-heal. Every pickup will be met with a pink flashlight. Bodyblocking. Twerking. Sabo-ing every beartrap. Erasing very Hag trap. Always looking around to stop my stalk as Ghostface.

They are not looking to win. They just want to ensure I can't play.

And no; I should not be punished for avoiding them. No, they should not have the ability to log into my lobbies and be hidden from my view so I'm forced to play against them.

If Survivors say it's perfectly fine to Suicide on the first hook to avoid a 'bad game', then I have every damn right to lobby-dodge meme-build SWFs!

  • I don't know why it double-posted. I can't delete one of them, so this one is edited to cut down on spam

  • What? Because I disagree, I'm immature? Because I gave sound logic as to why I disagree, I'm immature?

Sounds like I'm not the one who needs to grow up.

  • No, I'm not.

The point is that making people speak/taunt/whatever would ruin what little atmosphere the game has.

Plus, it's out of character for 90% of the Killer roster and 99% of the Survivors.

Just because I don't agree does not mean I'm missing your point. This is not some amazing idea that the whole player base would agree on if they just understood your view.

It's a bad idea. Again; it does not fit anyone. Hell, the Plague only speaks in her Mori, IIRC. If you don't count the lobby screen. And the lobby screen is where Ash speaks. The ONLY place where Ash speaks.

I don't consider the backstory a reason for people to speak because EVERYONE was talking in their backstory. Because they were human! Interacting with other humans! They don't speak in game because they are trying to hide! Or they no longer have enough humanity left to BOTHER speaking.

See? I get it just fine. YOU don't seem to get what the game is about; oppression and fear. Being unable to speak because the Killer might hear you!

  • Honestly, I think the sound-alert when a Lit Totem is being worked on should be base kit.

But the perk can keep the other effects (Slow cleansing speed, trapped totems)

  • @Spaceman94 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/662736#Comment_662736

I disagree with your argument about it ruining the atmosphere of the game, the cosmetics have already done that. DBD is not longer tense or scary and hasn't been for years.

The killers I mentioned DO speak in their lore / origins. They're not all 'feral beasts'.

I agree my examples are goofy, I was providing a variety of phrases to give an example of what could be done.

...Their lore/origins are before they got taken by the Entity. NONE, save for Plague, speak IN GAME. They have been driven beyond their humanity, and no longer need too/can speak.

  • @not_Queef said:

Slugging is purely the domain of trash killers so I wouldn't mind if it was eradicated from the game.

I don't blame anyone for DCing if the game is that boring. If you're just playing to make the game a miserable experience for everyone else, you are the definition of toxic.

yes. There's never a reason to slug.

Like..maybe..Hmm..When there's 2 Survivors left and you know 1 has found the hatch so you slug one so you can get the 4K? Oh riiiight! Survivors would claim that's being a 'tryhard' and 'Killers don't deserve the 4K'.

Or how about when you want to slow down gens, and know someone will come to pick them up? It's slower than an unhooking. Right, right! Killers should just hook & let them unhook.

Or how about when a SWF team 99% every Hook & then breaks them when you down someone? Oh yeah; Survivors would claim the Killer should eat the wriggle-escape.

  • @Spaceman94 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/662706#Comment_662706

Of course it would fit, it's just your opinion you don't think it would.

Ash has voice lines along with other survivors already. If a survivor used a voice command whilst a killer was nearby and they heard, it would be their own fault for using it. Just because they're there doesn't mean they need to be used at all times.

50% of the killers do/can speak... Plague, Ghostface, Clown, Pig, Freddy, Doctor, Huntress, Spirit...

And it's your opinion that it would fit.

Ash is the only Survivor who speaks because, well, he's Ash. He never shuts up. And even he does not say anything during a match.

The game is supposed to be tense and scary. A Survivor yelling 'Eat my dust!' is goofy and silly. The Survivors are TERRIFIED of the Killers. They want to hide and stay silent.

And Plague is the only Killer who speaks, as far as I'm aware. The clown laughs. ..And no one else says a word. They make sounds; grunts, growls, chuckles, heavy breathing..None of them say coherent words.

Again; this would run the polar opposite to the atmosphere of the game. The Killers make noise because they don't care if they are seen; they are the HUNTER.

Survivors try to whimper and cry as quietly as possible to stay HIDDEN.

This is why they have mute emotes; so they can't be heard by the big thing that wants to put them on a meat hook.

  • I use pallets more, but I've been learning that some maps can really screw over a Pallet Freddy.

Snares, on the other hand, while maybe a bit weaker (a dream pallet that a Survivor stops at is 99% likely to be a hit), but are always useful.

  • This would not fit the game in any way.

The Survivors don't have voice lines because the last thing they want is for the Killer to hear them.

The Killer does not speak because, most of the time, they are basically feral beasts driven by their rage/need to kill & the Entity.

  • You want a free pickup because the Killer is doing good?

    Hard pass.

  • Killer: *Uses His/Her Power*

    Survivors: Nerf!

You're griping about Dream Pallets and Freddy's new sleep mechanic? Really? What's next? 'I can't see the Trappers beartraps in tall grass. Can you make them bright neon orange so I don't step in them?'

  • What is with the flood of posts trying to take away everything a Killer can do?

Don't want Killers to see Survivors/items in the lobby.

Don't want Killers to camp (Nevermind that Survivors abused the anti-camp mechanic when it existed)

Don't want Killers to be able to close hatches.

Don't want Killers to use Franklin's Demise/Nerf Franklin's so Survivors no longer drop their items.

What's next? 'Dear DBD Devs; It's not fair that Killers can see us! Every Survivor should be invisible!' or 'Remove all Aura reading Killer perks!'

    Hatch is fine.

No, a key should not 100% spawn at endgame. Survivors get the Hatch, and WIN if they find it First; a Killer gets 0 second chances once the Survivor finds the hatch. And THEN they can open 1 of 2 doors if the Hatch is closed. Seriously. Anything more is just being greedy.

No, the Killer should not be unable to close the hatch for any reason whatsoever. This leads to what was known as the 'Hatch Standoff'; a Survivor avoids the Killer's grab, and the Killer can't leave the hatch or he loses. Unless you do not want the old Killer ability to grab Survivors out of the hatch? Just want the Killer to do nothing while Survivors win because the Hatch is open?

  • The essence of any camping/tunneling thread:

'Killers are allowed to win! But only if they play by my rules.'

Camping is fine. It's a legitimate strat that defeats itself. People need to stop suggesting that camping/tunneling is 'ruining the game'. It's a blatant lie meant to push their agenda.

I mean, you don't hear them comment on how 3-4 man SWFs built to bully Killers are ruining the game or chasing away new Killers..Because they don't care about that. They only care about wanting to remove camping because they, personally, don't like it.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

None of you are getting it.

Siding with the OP here, new players going against a semi competent killer running Hexes can be overwhelming, alienating, and feel insurmountable.

That’s the point here. How awful they are to deal with as a new survivor.

New survivors, particularly fans of Stranger Things, frequently going against Ruin or NOED are probably going to very quickly abandon this game.

Or..they will get killed by them, looked up what happened, learn how Totems work, and learn to cleanse totems. You know; adapt to the games mechanics, like in ANY PvP game.

I'm tired of people acting like Totems are these uber evil perks that no new player will ever like & they need to be removed 'fOr ThE hEaLtH oF tHe GaMe!' to push their agenda of nerfing anything that prevents them from winning in under 2 minutes.

"If a killer is facecamping they're throwing the game"

I'm told every time I bring up camping being toxic that it's a "legit strat" by literally every damn person I've met. So how is it now suddenly throwing if it's a legit strat?

"You can drop all the gens but 1 during that time run them in a chase and get out at that point. On top of the fact that the killer loses points for face camping the hook....I can't even believe you're bringing face camping into this as a valid tactic when its LITERALLY THROWING THE GAME! Even if you pop 3 gens in that time the game is over for the killer.....face camping...I can't even...theres no way you play killer if you think thats a valid strat...Like what?"

I'm a mid purple rank Nurse main.

"assuming nobody runs borrowed time, which would have DELETED your face camp in the first place...."

No it doesn't lmao. It would, in your eloquent logical caps lock broken words, DELETE my face camp if borrowed time applied to both the unhooked and the unhooker. But bc it doesn't, I can just hooktrade and call it a day.

"BORROWED TIME.....STRAT DELETED, tunnel them...DSTRIKE..... STRAT DELETED...."

Again your eloquent sophisticated way of showing me how wrong I am gets lost in your broken keyboard locking everything at caps and putting random elipses between every thing you say. But let's assume that's how you talk. Let me explain why it doesn't work like that.

BORROWED TIME...HOOKTRADE. TUNNEL THEM. SLUG THEM. WAIT OUT D STRIKE, OR HOOKTRADE................STRAT WORKS AGAIN.

"Also what more of a hint do you need to find the totem? It literally shows you where its at in a cone where you face the camera....all it takes from there is walking up to the spawn point, and since they all spawn in the same general places around objects, boom, you're done."

And this is how I know you don't run small game. Try it. You get an audio cue the same sound as premonition when ur so damn close to the totem you could probably see it anyways. Only map it's good on is the Game where totems are actually well hidden.

The counter to Noed and camping is mutually exclusive. If the team abandons that guy to die on the hook, they genrush and lose to Noed or they don't genrush and lose to counter Noed and their teammate dies for nothing. If they run borrowed time all the killer has to do is hooktrade and the cycle repeats itself. This gets even worse if the killer runs dying light and/or a Mori.

    You're confusing 'legit' for 'good'.

Camping is LEGIT. IE: It's not bannable. It's not against the rules. It can be done without worry of being punished by the devs.

Camping is not GOOD. It takes 2 minutes to kill a Survivor from first hook. Tack on 30-45 seconds for the chase. It takes 80 seconds to pop 3 generators (80 seconds for a solo Survivor to do 1 gens, times 3 Survivors.). 160 seconds to do 6 gens (2 gens per Survivor doing it solo, times 3 Survivors.). 160 seconds = 2 minutes 40 seconds.

So Survivors can do 6 out of 5 generators in the time it takes a Killer to camp one Survivor.

Let's stretch that further: It can possibly take Survivors under 3 minutes to pop every gen in the match.

And you wonder why Killers need Ruin and NoED; it's basically the only pressure we have against sub 3 minute matches.

NoED is fine. Ruin is fine. Camping is fine.

We'd have to be talking about the great skill check success zone, since that's the one that really matters. Hitting a good skill check is easy but still gives a huge amount of regression (as well as pausing progression for a few seconds). You can make the good skill check zone massive and it wouldn't change anything as long as the great skill check zone is tiny.

But then there's a different issue: The great success zone is already incredibly small. You can't get much smaller before it just stops existing.

At its core, it's a perk that relies on the survivors messing up skill checks. If you're going against good survivors, I would just recommend running a perk that doesn't rely on them messing up.

Yeah, I meant the great success zones. :) Also true on the rest. Ah well. :)

You make it sound like the Killer knows where you are 100% of the time. They are all time-based. Just assume the Killer can see you for 5 seconds if they hook someone, or a Gen pops near you & act accordingly.

The aura view will go away in a few seconds and you can then juke elsewhere without being seen.

Toxic people. People who would rather criticize than maybe help someone by making a few suggestions or presenting a valid argument on their point of views

You did not word anything as if you wanted opposing viewpoints.

You claimed you were leaving. Claimed you were going back to Destiny 2. And challenged us to 'change your mind'.

Usually, when people say 'Change my mind' they mean 'I just want people to do treat me special. I'm not going to listen to what they say', mate.

These comments show me exactly the kinds of people that play this game....

People who don't come onto one game's forum to talk about a different game?

People who roll their eyes at the 'I'm leaving' threads?

People who don't care if you leave & have no reason to 'change your mind' like you're some big hotshot we should care about?

    🤔🤔🤔🤔

Sadly they do need a reason. They already have a history of silly bans for silly reasons like doing stuff outside of their game. They policies have changed since then. You cannot ban people who bought your product with no reason - that would cause lawsuits and I doubt BHVR wants that.

Actually, I believe the EULA states they can restrict/remove anyone's online access for any reason.

I think it's more a 'cover my butt' legality to prevent people from suing if they ever shut down the servers/ability to P2P (take you pick based on the game's setup, since this is in EVERY EULA) but it does also protect them from being sued if they ban someone. For any reason.

Most companies don't ban for no reason because it would be bad PR, but legally, they can as per the wording in the EULA or ToS

@Carpemortum but there clearly is a cycle.

...There's no cycle if the people who release this stuff say there's no cycle.

  • A shape-changer. When they use their power, they turn into a Survivor that's in the game, complete with item.

They can fake working on gens/sabo hooks/healing but it gives no progress.

    They can crouch-spam.

They always move at a sprint, unless crouching. Only slightly faster than an actual sprinting Survivor (but slower than any of the Exhaustion perks)

They cannot break pallets/hit Gens while Disguised.

They have to rip out of the disguise to attack (like how Wraith has to uncloak), so no cheap grabs.

They can toggle between wounded and healthy (to match the status bars on the lower left).

  • 'We can't always cleanse NoED, therefor NoED is OP'. 🙄

There are anti-NoED things in the game:

    Small Game

    Rainbow Map

    Cleaning Bones.

Yes, you can't ALWAYS clean all the totems, but that's not OP; that's the Killer pressuring you. Claiming killers 'cheat' or a perk is 'unbalanced' because you can't ALWAYS clear is is stupid. Why not just say 'NoED should deactivate when the gates are powered, because actually USING it is cheating!' 🙄

I agree. Solo survivor sucks ass.

If im versing an easy high mobility killer like spirit nurse or hillbilly and it ends up getting to ecg, half the time the doors are right next to each other. I just find a locker and wait out the timer while watching youtube. Thanks game.

    Dude. You have TWO ESCAPES:

The hatch if you find it first. The Killer can't even stop you if he gets there a second late.

The doors if the Killer closes the hatch.

The Killer does not get any sort of safety net; if you leave via hatch or door, you're gone.

I love how people blame the game, or balance, or 'the Devs are biased against Survivors!' when the Survivors get TWO chances to leave and the Killers get ONE chance to stop them. 🤔

  • Me:

A slightly overweight, mid-30's Scottish guy with a lumberjack beard who trundles around muttering and screaming swears at the Survivors while trying to strangle them with my slowly-malfunctioning headset that I can't afford to replace. :D

  • Listen to the death metal version. It's badass

Devs dont care a lot of people hate it. Its intended to be a screw job. This mentality is why fewer people even bother with playing survivor.

Or..and this might sound crazy..There was LOGIC to the EGC?

I know, I know; it completely thrashes your 'Devs don't care' or 'Devs hate Survivors' narritive..

But before the EGC, Survivors would spend actual HOURS hiding on maps, forcing the Killer to suck a DC & lose all his earned BP.

The OP wants to go back to those heady days of holding games hostage & abusing Killers. Which would be bad.

    The hatch is fair:

If you find it first; you escape. The Killer cannot stop this.

If the Killer finds it first; you're probably screwed, but can still possibly open a gate.

Hell, that makes it sound like Survivors are STILL given another chance where Killers are not.

So much for a 'screw job'.

  • If the EGC did not activate when the Hatch is closed, you'd go back to pre-EGC days; a Survivor would hide and dodge the Killer for literal hours, trying to force the Killer to quit.

EGC is fine. It's meant to be Killer-sided if he closes it.

..Kind of like how it's Survivor-sided if you find it first; he can't yank you out of it like the old format.
