This is a day to celebrate as the notorious Circle of Healing is finally getting a nerf that I feel it will be just enough to stop survivors from abusing it.

Dead Hard well on its way for the long overdue nerf.

Sloppy Butcher looks like its gonna finally be good enough to slow down healing speeds just enough so you can get some sort of pressure especially with the new hemmorage that will help so much.

I think gonna become a staple perk for m1 and hit and run killers again.

And with the hit and run playstyle looking like its gonna make a comeback there is joy for survivors as well.

That means less tunneling and probably less camping as well,so you should embrace the change.

I also hope this will mean survivors wont try to crutch on overpowered perks as much and instead try to get better at the game as the game feels so much harder without using perks like Circle of Healing or Dead hard.

If you really think Dead Hard and Circle of Healing we're not bused, try playing a few games without them and see just how big of a difference it makes.

What better way to celebrate the Circle of Healing nerf and the comeback of hit and run playstyle than buffing one of the most fun hit and run killers in the game, none other than Legion.

Thank you devs for showing some love not only to the killers, but to the overall balance of the game as well.

Actually in my eyes it means that I'm gonna continue to tunnel and camp when necessary and realize that I'm in an even stronger position. Killer wasn't impossible during CoH strongest periods lol I still did great and thank god it got nerfed because it means I can play more aggressive and have way better odds and slowdown

  • Boons aren't the problem, CoH is. The nerf is perfect imo, the problem to me was never an infinite healing, it was the speed that could be reached with it so easily. 6 second heals shouldn't have been so easy to get

As much as I think that artist opinion is an L take, sadako imo is a joke, I have never feel threathened by her in any way, her tp can be rendered useless by picking the tape and I only have to return it last second, I am willing to say freddys passive sleep is more of a slowdown than condemned, also she has incredibly obvious audio when she tps so unless you playing without sound she should not get any tp hits.

Regarding her being m1, well those killers are easily dunked on by any half decent player, I actually cannot believe it possible for a good team to let her get more than a 1k and that is if shes like the best sadako player in the world.

Oh yeah I totally agree with the fact that her kit is weak and isn't great. My whole mindset though is her power isn't a chase based power so that is why it makes chases take longer, because you shouldn't be using it as a chase tool. That was my argument for Sadako. Again tho, she is still weak fr lol

Winning chases is how killers counter the gen rush and apply pressure. If you cannot win a chase faster, you are low tier by default. It doesn't matter what information the killer has. Like I am already quite informed that survivors are doing gens. Artist cannot win chases faster because her power has far too many drawbacks, cooldowns, counterplays to actually handle survivor who've read her power. Her power becomes a detriment in too many situations, along with no payoff.

Players are saying she's S-Tier or 'high A-Tier', easily. Those slots are reserved exclusively for killers who win trials through chase, quicker than others. Spirit, Nurse, Blight, Twins. All of them win faster with their chase mixed with high mobility. Artist is in their class because she's informed? She's lower than Huntress and Deathslinger. I'm muddling whether she's lower than Trickster at the moment.

Then clearly you must just be having the worst time ever as artist lmao idk how you can be doing so bad with her, it sounds like you had some awful games and thought, "boy the forums gotta hear about this one". Her being 115 alone makes her higher than deathslinger, trickster, and huntress and it means you are limited by maps or bad rng and can still resort to being a m1 killer when needed.

It isn't just knowledge she gets either, she can most certainly be a threat as well from anywhere on the map, and again, if you are doing that bad in chase as a killer who has that strong of a chase power, it is a skill issue from your part. If you are walking up to loops and trying to set all 3 crows up, then you are playing her wrong. Her kit is based around putting survivors into lose/lose situations and if you aren't reading those situations then it is on you. There isn't a single tile or set up she can't at least make survivors leave instantly lol

Do you not think it is weird you think she is somehow worse than TRICKSTER while others put her close to S tier? Nah she is just bad and you are the best at this game, you could never make mistakes.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

First i am not against killer buffs.

Maps should balance better for killers.

Dead Hard and CoH needs to go.

    Weak killers should buff.

But seriously i don't wanna Nurse level killers. But i am seeing some people wants this. But DbD is not playing by only one side. If all killers would be this level, how people will enjoy as survivor?

For me game needs to be fair for both sides. For me, maps are making it imposible. Most maps are balancing around casual/new players and i think this is biggest mistake.

I think it is silly to think in any game that has various characters or etc to be at the top level. It is honestly a pretty normal thing in most pvp games. Now there are some killers that definitely need buffed, and there are things that need changed about the game, but there will always be a "worst" of any category, and there will always be a "best" of every category. Clown no matter what will never be top tier, his kit and design just don't support it. Neither will trapper. Some killers will never be top tier, and that is ok.

Now some killers definitely have the potential to be top tier with some buffs, and I wouldn't be against having some more higher tier killers, but objectively not every killer can even be buffed to that level.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2875611#Comment_2875611

Your comments are bad. I've actually laid out her weaknesses. Empty words from loch here.

Except they aren't lol not every killer needs to be heavily chase oriented. The chase isn't even the most key aspect of the game, pressure and the macro play is the most important part. Now that isn't to say chase is unimportant as the best killers in the game have good chase AND map pressure, but to just say "well killer doesn't make chase easier so they bad" is not a factual statement. It is why almost all purely chase-based killers are hardstuck in B or lower tier with about Pyramid head being the only exception since he can (through his second chance denial) provide a lot of pressure.

Also Artist easily has one of the best chases in the game out of the m2 killers lol you walk up to a loop, and now survivors have to choose between getting hit by a crow, or leaving and getting m1'd. Now if you STAY at a loop and try to play around it as artist and they leave, that is your problem for not just going for the m1 and going after them. Artist makes EVERY tile and loop an unsafe one, as well as her map knowledge.

Sadako is definitely different as she doesn't have ANY chase power, so if you are trying to use it as such, again, kind of a you problem lol her whole kit is about stealth and map pressure. She isn't wraith.

Now while technically you are right in that Sadako's power makes chases longer, you also fail to realize that her power isn't meant to be a chase tool. It would be like complaining that Pig's power makes chases longer by crouching and uncrouching. That is true in most situations but the truth is that her power isn't meant to be used in chase like a killler like Nemesis, clown, doctor, etc.

  • I mean yeah if you play them bad then sure lol "if i'm bad, the killer is also bad"

To add to this, there's this darker more adult live-action series being made, under the same name as the best seasons of Scooby-Doo known to mankind (Mystery Incorporated) even though they aren't entirely related. The pilot episode is almost out, they have official permission from WB to use the names and trademarks, and then it'll go to a streaming platform (and they really wanna upload it all for free onto YouTube too).

So who knows that could be a chapter once the series has aired and/or while it's airing 💫

Mystery Incorporated actually slapped and it is incredible that it was scooby doo at all lol what an actually good watch, peak scooby doo.

The early 2000's one was supposed to be rated R iirc but they pushed it down to a PG-13

If I remember correctly, shaggy was actually supposed to be the stoner stereotype and there were loads of actually stoner weed jokes and props but they wouldn't allow that so all of it was replaced with food. At the beginning, I believe they even have smoke coming out of their van but then it is just them cooking food and then they panic when they think a cop is knocking at their door.

I have another: remove swf from the game.

"But people that only play with friends would leave the game". Simple. Add 2 queues, one that you can play with 3 friends and another that you can play with up to 1 friend. I'm going further: call the first one casual and the second one ranked.

I can't imagine still complaining about SWF in a state where the game has never been more balanced toward the fact 🙏

It's not a me problem it's a fact. It's for children and it doesn't belong in a game like dbd. Bhvr literally said they don't wanna do silly so it's not a me problem. Point being, if scooby doo fits then fnaf fits way more lol therefore fnaf 100% has a way higher chance of being in the game less gooo

I was never arguing against fnaf, I was arguing on the side for scooby doo, which has also had media that was PG 13 (and even those live action movies were pushing that). DBD is not a spooky scary game anymore, there is nothing that doesn't fit anymore. They could add a teletubby with blood on them and it would fit.

  • @Erd69 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2875291#Comment_2875291

Survivors get those outfits because there's not supposed to be scary. With that mentality you're tryna turn dbd into a joke. Just because we have some silly outfits it doesn't mean you can add a kids cartoon in the game. If something is silly you don't add more silly you add less silly lol

Clearly, BHVR has the complete opposite feeling. Personally, I'm fine with it, it makes the game more fun while horror is still the core, it is like the people mad the game isn't a hide and seek game even though that isn't what it is anymore. It is a chase game with icons from all walks of the horror genre. Scooby doo is one of the most recognizable spooky mystery show out there. If you find it silly then sounds like a you problem, not for the devs who try to have fun with the characters lmaoo

  • @Erd69 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2874646#Comment_2874646

Are you comparing Stranger things to scooby doo? Scooby doo is literally for kids and is a cartoon. It will turn dbd into a joke but sure I guess

Like dbd doesn't already have the most comical things in the world? At its core, most classic slashers are pretty comical in their own right, you can't watch the old nightmare on elm streets without having atleast a little chuckle.

If survivors can get the most flamboyant and comical outfits every other month, then scooby doo is completely viable lmao. Also don't act like stranger things isn't preteen-teen drama with a mystery plot lmaoo

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2873856#Comment_2873856

My problem with MMR is it doesn’t really measure skill. The old system at least took into account how much playtime someone has which kind of goes hand in hand with skill and experience.

oh then yeah that is completely fair lol

  • The game is not unbalanced, there is just a clear lack of skill from both sides in lots of situations, or bad rng.

NOED isn't OP or weak, it is just a bad perk. A perk that punishes survivors for being in an advantageous position while also not working on good survivors is awful design.

Boons aren't op and never have been, CoH is.

survivors isn't just chill mode, it is still just as stressful. Most people saying that though are killer mains who have never faced a good killer. Survivor is only "easier" because technically you are only 1/4th your team.

Killer isn't weak and killer has just the same amount of sweaty and strong tools they can use to make the game feel unbalanced.

MMR did not change anything. Matchmaking sucked the same amount before it dropped, stop using it as an excuse.

The biggest problem with BHVR is how long it takes between updates and then how little there actually usually is in those updates.

How many killer-players really want flash-light clicking removed because it hurts their feelings but are saying they want it removed because of "epilepsy".

if it makes you feel better, the post originally just wanted it gone because they found it annoying but after I called that out they edited the post to say it was actually about epilepsy.

Still doesn't make it a good idea lol

  • @GamerEzra said:

I edited my post.😉 Please take your hate somewhere else tho.

thank god you edited it after loads of replies 🙏

if you think criticism on a post you made asking for thoughts on an idea is someone bringing hate then clearly you didn't actually want responses on your idea and just wanted people saying yes lol it is a silly idea for a problem that wasn't apparent in your original post but now that the post IS about epileptic problems, it still doesn't solve the issue as technically people could still spam 100 clicks or more before running out of battery, still causing harmful reactions.

Once more, if the issue you have with it is health issues, dbd needs to add accessibility options for people at harm, not an idea that just...makes doing it run out faster?

  • @GamerEzra said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2871930#Comment_2871930

Please say this to the people that suffer from epilepsy because of some kids that abuse flashlights. It's a serious problem for more people then you think. But i guess all you think about is yourself...

Dbd just has to add a warning on the game or a accessibility option to do with it lmaooo if you are talking about health issues there is easier and more apparent ways to solve it besides "can you devs pls add a thing to stop clicky clicky becuz it mean :((("

  • @GamerEzra said:

So I think we can all agree that when people abuse their flashlight with macro's or just are clicking in general are really annoying. Why not make it so whenever you don't hold it but click your flashlight you lose 1% charge. If someone is using a macro their flashlight will be depleted in seconds. Just use it the way it's supposed to be used!

People really wake up and think this is a good idea that the devs need to jump on

This is entirely on you and the community that blew this up. All that BHVR said is that they had been running some internal buffs to both legion and ghostface and that they would be released when those changes were ready to be released.

Yes, even simple changes require refinement before they go live. Especially for legion. Legion has in the past had mechanics that were incredibly easy to abuse and were absolutely awful to verse.

I didn't even blow it up, personally I didn't think it was gonna be like a full rework, hell Idk what exactly I was expecting. Legion definitely was worth it, the changes are awesome and show some work was put in them, and while again I'm totally fine with the ghostface changes and I'm excited, I can't help but think how this was apparent months of work. If there was even something more complex to do with the ghostface changes I wouldn't feel this way but the changes are so...like normal lmao why is it a "ghostface update" if it is just a simple QoL number and addon buff he has needed for years lmao

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2871464#Comment_2871464

...Were they? I'm pretty sure all we were told is that Ghosty and Legion were being looked at for changes, I don't recall it being talked up as a big update at all.

The community took it and ran, obviously, but all we were told is that Ghosty was being looked at, and since all he needed was normal buffs I think it was a fair assumption that he was going to get normal buffs.

I guess I am just disappointed that a normal set of changes like this isn't just a normal thing. Hearing about this for months and then just receiving essentially some number changes? I'm still excited but it just makes me sad that work like that takes apparent months to do.

  • @dbd900bach said:

However exposed survivors can't expose Ghostface. I find the changes really good quality of life updates that Ghosty needed and the new add-on that speeds him up by 10% has a ton of potential.

Not only can you now blitz survivors if stalk them from a close enough range, you now have an on demand speed boost if you 99 survivors stalk meter.

I totally agree they were needed and they were good changes. My only complaint is the fact this was made out to be such a big deal. A "ghostface update"? He just got some normal buffs, I'm just disappointed that normal buffs like this are considered to be grandeur when they should be way more commonplace.

  • @jesterkind said:

This is what he needed, though?

Being revealed less often (which in fairness, the reveal logic will probably still need tuning), better utility, and addons that are actually worth running. He's getting all of those, he didn't need anything more than that.

I am aware but if these were the changes that he was getting, they should've been received a long time ago. I think it is super disappointing that this was talked about months ago as like a big deal and it is just basic buffs. I'm not complaining he received those because I definitely agree they help, but it just feels weird it was made out to be like a big "ghostface update" coming and it is a pretty normal buff that should be more common place for most killers.

  • By reading the comments it is nice to see that people at least are coming to terms that boons are perfectly fine and that CoH is just extremely overtuned. In fact, if CoH just didn't exist I bet there would be loads of posts complaining that boons are awful lol

  • @Gamedozer7 said:

I will not be playing dbd anymore or giving them any kind of support. They way they are handling a certain problem is lazy and bs and they way they have handled other things it's just petty.

I'm going to go play elden ring it's such a better game

oh my god they solved it, by you leaving the game, ALL problems have been solved. Thank god you made a forum post, they wouldn't be shaking in their boots any other way

FYI im not bald. My avatar has a buzzed haircut but they made fun of what I supposedly looked like. Not just this one guy, but his entire SWF. I'm sick of it.

I reported this, but I wanted to showcase why I dint want to play killer anymore. It isn't fun. It's even worse to be bullied after almost every game.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/01GC172HVJWC/20220324-194102.jpg

While this type of stuff definitely sucks, it will happen in any online game whatsoever and I don't get why it is BHVR's problem honestly. They didn't even message you through the game, they used xbox live (which bans people like crazy even over super little things, reporting their message most definitely could've banned him for a while). BHVR could totally work on a karma system of some sort where after so many reports people only get matched with other bad sports but let's be honest, that would be abused like crazy. The best thing to do is either turn your account private so you can't get messages, or don't play online games.

I'm not excusing bad behavior but there are definitely things that can be done about the situation, especially if you are someone prone to suicidal thoughts or depression through video games.

I’m not gonna lie, I think I need a break from playing her so much.

Its how I feel with my love Pinhead. His power takes so much precision and niche stuff to play good that on days where I'm feeling it, I'm doing great, but on days where I'm tired, hitting his chain just feels impossible.

We don't even use meta perks or anything because we're all relatively new with less than 200 hours.

None of us have circle of healing

Only one of us runs BT

One of us literally has no sense of direction and still uses perks like deja vu because she doesn't know where gens are, despite having over 150 hours (this person also frequently gets lost going to unhooks on indoor maps)

None of us have DS, or even own Laurie

We don't use prove thyself or brand new parts

I won't pretend like we are facing super high mmr killers, however, we're also not only playing against baby killers with no perks. Our games should be pretty balanced, right? Wrong, if the first person to get chased survives for at least a minute or two, we straight up finish 3 gens before the killer gets a single hook. From there, all we have to do is communicate and not 3 gen ourselves, and the game is just over. If we die, it's almost always because of mistakes WE made, not the killer making an insane play. I think like 80% of my 200 total hours are on killer. But now playing survivor with my good friends, it just seems so unbalanced. I can only imagine what it would be like with full meta loadouts??? Like I literally run small game, inner healing, WGLF and flashbang.

You are definitely not facing good killers. That is the objective fact.

  • Honestly, probably bamboozle. It is just a perk that makes the one part of the game for survivors that is interactive and fun - not that.

Dont think the vast majority of the playerbase likes going againts a Spirit or a Bubba.

A good Nurse is a pain to deal with but it feels so good when you juke her.

For Spirit or Bubba it never feels good no matter what happens.

Blight is also a high skill killer that has a lot of counters still.

Hag I personally find really fun to play and go againts since I love her jumpscare factor that always keeps you on edge and punishes mistakes you could have avoided easily.

Bubba is strong even without his camping that a lot of Bubbas rely on.

Spirit is the same old boring 50/50 where there's no skill involved but pure luck.

Oni I personally dont like going againts, but you can easily deny his power especially in the boon meta.

Artist is a killer I wish it wasn't released in the first place, her power is the embodiment of boring and unfun on both sides, her biggest strenght is zoning you in a corner with her crows with no escape,"fun gameplay" .

Make killers like Billy meta,I always have fun going againts Billys and feels the best when you juke them.

The argument of,killers are not supposed to be fun to go againts, yes it should, who wants to play a game where just playing it is unfun.

Both sides should be fun to play no matter how strong or weak a killer is.

There's strong killers I enjoy going againts as much as weak killers.

This is my tierlist of which killers are the most unfun or fun to play againts.

I used to complain a bunch about the game when I first got into it like 4 years ago. Then, I was seeing streamers and other killer players doing super good and having fun. So I decided I would actually try and get good and the difference is night and day. It is incredible how much better and more fun I have when I realize my mistakes and actually drive to get better.

  • @lereyk said:

Before anyone start complaining hear me out.

I often read discussions on here on wether this game is killer sided or survivor sided. In my opinion it's clearly in the favor of survivors but it's supposed to be this way. Let me explain.

Dead by Daylight is a asymmetrical game so when it comes to balancing it's not like CS or other symmetrical games. To fill up one Lobby in Dead by Daylight you need one killer and four survivors. So you need four times as many players to play as survivor than you need players to play as killer.

Because of that you need to make the game more appealing to survivors since you matches are 80% survs.

This still doesn't mean they should just neglect killers and the overall game health. Many of you know there are many more points that play into this and a lot of things need to be changed on both sides when looking at the game and how it is at this point.

Just wanted to know what you think of this since that's a point I rarely see in any discussion thread.

Hope y'all are having an amazing day!

please forums, never change. Idk how many more posts like this need to be made to justify being bad, but keep them coming

She may not be the strongest killer in the game but she’s far from the weakest and is better than what most people are saying. But more importantly, when I play Sadako I actually feel like (and look) a horror character in a horror game, which can’t be said for the majority of the roster, and I think the devs deserve a pat on the back for being able to bring that feeling to fruition whilst keeping the killer relatively balanced for different skill levels.

I do think she needs some tweaks to help with higher MMR, namely lowering the cooldown on TVs (100 seconds is too punishing) and baking her stealth addons into base kit, but as far as design goes, I think they more or less hit the nail in the head with this one.

Agreed, I think people that are complaining are just the ones really use to all the m2 to win chase killers. I'm having a blast and doing good with her because I get to show my actual mechanical skill at the game through the micro and macro more than most other killers. I'm not saying she is top tier because she is still certainly lower tier but people act like a low tier killer only loses and never has a chance while people have been using killers like legion and doing good for a long time

  • @Gigante said:

It's unbelievable how nothing is being done, playing killer has become pathetic and a joke. Survivors have 2/3 jungle gyms side by side, which is next to the check, which is next to a T/L and to make matters worse there is the MASSIVE wave of dead hard players. I've been playing dead by daylight since 2018 and never in my life have I stopped seeing dead hard in my games, EVER. It's a ridiculous perk that with the newly hit validation buff has become the third health state. In addition to the killer needing to hook 3 times, he needs to practically give 3 hits, as the game will ALWAYS prioritize survivors in this hit validations.

Playing killer has become depressing and stupid.

Not to mention the fact that doing a generator nowadays has become literally pressing a single button and being able to make a coffee if you want since anyone can hit the skillchecks even blindfolded as it's ridiculously easy.

Because they usually tend to just look at actual complaints and not people just complaining to complain. Give actual feedback and they can do something but just saying "me no have fun :(((" isn't feedback and is entirely subjective to you. If you think playing killer is a joke and pathetic but you've played since 2018 then it is entirely a you issue if you haven't gotten good by now lol

You don't win every round either. Skill with Deathslinger can only take you so far. Even before his nerf, he was no match for the better teams, so why nerf him?

Again, the nerf doesn't change his strongest attribute, he was so bad against even a decent team because of his design. A killer that has his whole power in the 1v1 when the game itself is 1v4 isn't great design, and it is why most chase based killers are hard stuck in mid to low tier. Even if his gun shot 30 meters and had 0 cooldown for aiming and the chain couldn't be broken, the same thing that good teams did to beat him before would still work (that being just spreading out and slamming gens lol). Again, I'll totally agree the TR nerf was stupid, but his chase is the same as before, it just so happens that being chase oriented and 110 isn't great design lol

Brand new survivors SHOULD go up against brand new killers, yes.

Survivors with 2000 hours in the game do not need to learn a new skill set for each killer. But the difference between trying Blight for the first time or trying Trickster for the first time is night and day.

The VERY FEW killers that ask survivors to do literally anything other than their basic gameplay loop have unreasonably high kill rates due to new survivors, not experienced ones. And, as I mentioned, New survivors need low mmr killers.

The game consists of 2 sides, but the two sides do not control equally. Killer controls are explicitly made poorly, while every survivor controls exactly the same, without any of the slow-down, cool down, or throttled movement than killers frequently have.

    Don't be fatuous.

Except for the basics of a killer, ESPECIALLY a 115 m1 killer should not be such a huge change for a killer with even 100 hours. Yes powers all work and play differently, but if you forget the basics of the game like pressuring, dropping chases, how to m1 in general every time you pick up a new killer then idk what to say lol

I totally understand wanting to practice and learn a new killer but just expecting to 4k right out of the bat is really a you issue, you shouldn't just expect to dominate trying something new. Especially considering that MMR for a new killer doesn't start out at max, it starts at an average depending on your other killers. So if the game knows you are a bad killer it adjusts that for all your killers, then playing individual killers raise theirs alone, so playing Sadako for the first time WON'T put you at max or bad survivors.

This is also all assuming MMR works which it absolutely does not and it is fairly random.

So yea my first game against the Onryo was not fun at all. I went into it blind because I wanted it to be as scary as possible. Unfortunately the scariest part of the match was realizing how freaking OP Merciless Storm is. I imagine this is going to be on the build of every killer from now until the end of time. How is this perk fair at all? Those skill checks are nearly impossible to hit all of them and you're basically punished for working on a generator. Its almost like giving the killer an easy notification that you're there and a gen is almost done. Who needs tinkerers when they can just use this new perk? I wouldn't mind if the skill checks were normal skill checks but to make them smaller and proc that fast is too much. New players are going to get screwed all the time going against this perk. Hell I would say most players are going to have a hard time with it. Oh well. I guess the new survivor meta is going to be to work on gens to 70% then leave them for someone else to do. Oh joy...

    I hear it...

    the calls through the wind...

    they are saying...

The nerf was 100% uncalled for. I like how I give the survivors a super big terror radius, that the killer wasn't intended to have, so they can hold forward before I even get there. The chases are something else entirely. Survivors can just hug walls and obstalces, even the ones you can shoot over, because his ADS is garbage. Quickscoping is the only thing that made him a threat in chase, and stopped the survivors from hugging walls and immediately turning corners, a weakness Huntress shares. You not only have to lead with your shots, but you also have to anticipate the survivors' dodging patterns, which they can easily do now that he can't quickscope. The zoom in feels so unbelievably slow. I can't believe these survivors are actually letting me get kills with him. He's bad enough even when you play him perfectly, but when you're rusty and miss a bunch of shots like I do, that should definitely be a 4-man escape. If it wasn't for my daily, I wouldn't play him at all. What was once my favorite killer is now a complete joke. Way to ruin a killer on the behalf of an unskilled but loud minority.

Honestly, his main strength wasn't taken away, the worst part of his nerf was just his TR change but even then that can still work to his advantage. His chase potential is still just as strong and still has the same advantages as before. The problem with slinger is his design in general. With the large amounts of chase killers being added, why would you play him over like, Pyramid Head which has the same advantage as slinger but also through walls and he isn't 110.

The same goes for trickster, they are just ######### designs to begin with. Whether buffed or nerfed they will always be in really bad spots. That being said, you don't lose every round playing as them lol a good slinger can still destroy just like a good trickster or etc. It is just up to skill and the player behind the killer.

There is zero good reason not to match someone playing a killer for the first time against the lowest MMR survivors.

If they're an experienced killer, they get an easier game to try out the power. Then, if they dominate the game, their MMR kicks way up and they can take the experience to a harder level of competition.

If they're a brand new killer with no experience, they may struggle, they may do okay. Either way, they're at such a low level, that MMR correction won't (in theory) push them into the 2000 hrs SWF Survivors bracket.

And that's to say nothing of THE FACT THAT CHARACTER-SPECIFIC MMR FOR EACH KILLER WAS SPECIFICALLY BILLED AS MAKING IT LESS PUNISHING TO TRY SOMEBODY NEW

They threw out the only good thing that MMR could've done. Every hour and dollar spent on the MMR system was a complete waste if they couldn't figure out that it needs to be there so that they don't ruin somebody's first impression.

By that logic, shouldn't survivors go against really bad sadakos as well so they can learn to face her? The game consists of 2 sides, you can't just ignore 1 side.

The same rules could even apply to survivor.

There where playing Sadako and even bought the new skin and everything. they had only 2 level 1 perks

    I feel f'ing awful

they where probs so excited for this chapter that they bought the new skin right away.

just to get beat by people with 2000 more hours then them.

    I'm sick of this crap

Local player tries new killer, doesn't immediately 4k, is upset at ranking??

    This and more at 6.

  • @jamally093 said:

So I face Blight and some how one corners that I would not even hit a survivor on as him turn a rush attack when I face him he can and it's not like that slow turn and hit no it's this quick turn beyond what a normal Blight player can do so explain how that's even possible.

I've been trying out the new survivor today, and his 2% haste does basically nothing for running against the killer. This needs to be at least a 5% haste instead if not 7% like some other perks. I don't care about how long the haste effect lasts if it does nothing for me.

Movement speed is extremely hard to balance around since it can be extremely broken really fast. IF ANYTHING I'd maybe push it to 3%, but seeing as it works in the entire radius, lasts 4 seconds after leaving the radius, and can still be stacked with other stuff, even then it would be risky.

Plus, I'd rather not see more boon stuff than we already do. People will have even more things to complain and blame their losses on

I already know that about Maps @dugman & @GoodBoyKaru it does not change the fact that they could. This DLC is just a lame addition to the game when it could have been so much better. Also they just made Sadako into a mutt killer because she is just a mashed potato version of multiple existing killers.

dawg she is a pretty well designed killer. Her animations are spot on, the work done with her was great and this was honestly one of the best ways they could've done this chapter for her especially considering how she isn't slasher related at all and still works fantastic in the cast. Also she still isn't even among the worst of the killers lol sorry you didn't get a cheap little recolor I guess?

No it's the fact that going against nemesis with that cosmetic ruins the experience

That is entirely subjective to you, it isn't really an argumentative standing you can take lol

  • Honestly such a great skin, really scary and I can't wait to go against it!

  • @Grim_Grimz said:

When i read the title I thought you meant more like, every time the killer destroys the boon a token is removed. So it can only be lit 3 times, after its been destroyed the 3rd its gone. I would prefer that. not sure id like my teammates blasting through tokens.

never made sense to me that killers totems can be forever destroyed and survs cant. personally i think if they get broken they should be gone, thats the risk you take running a hex, should be even on both sides.

Most likely since a boon takes time to place and only works in a limited area while hexes spawn instantly and work universally without the killer needing to do anything. Yes, it can be cleansed fast, but that is kinda the whole thing with Hexes, they are RNG but give much bigger effects.

  • Or just remove the health speed bonus. Or remove the stacking with medkits. You don't need to gut a perk lmao
