Once more and he's my main. Yeah Billy is balanced and was pre nerf. Billy's chainsaw mobility is easy to get down. He can't curve on every loop. But some loops he'll have no problem. Can be countered good by Windows.
He's trash after the nerf, just trash. Before I could play him a lot better with thompson's mix and guide, a lot efficient, and now he's just trash.
i was a billy main, and ain't anymore.

@Karao_Ke said:
Just like Trapper, he is absolute trash. Literal definition of an M1 killer. It doesn't help that you can be spotted from so far away with your "invisibility", but his slowdown & wait when ringing his bell just makes everything about him worse than it already was.
I still think that after the buff to invisibility he's gonna be trash. No chasing power. 0.
His uncloaking is TOO ######### SLOW. TOO MUCH. To do a proper assault against a sprint burst you NEED silent bell. You just need it to do efficient uncloaks
-
Trash. Just... trash. No chasing power, his lore map is the worst map for him, even on the game or lery's he's not strong. Medkits destroy him, always.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Another one. Yeah I think Deathslinger is balanced. Here's why one he's 4.4 meters per second he's slow no map mobility a 4.6 is able to pop that gen in time he can't. True he has M&A to give him good stealth but Spine Chill common to go against stealth and for the fast vault build. And many maps are pretty open. Ormond and Autohavens. And let's make a Huntress Slinger comparison you drop a pallet. Huntress downs you Slinger you're safe. Short loops often a Huntress nightmare is better with Slinger with his quick shot. Windows both get you. And both can shoot over objects.
Very balanced killer, nothing to say. But still difficult to judge against competitive players. Overall I think maybe he need even a small buff, such as making him 115% maybe
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
I've heard a few people call him OP. But I believe he's a balanced killer. He can't beat all loops and still has standard map movement. But other loops he can beat and a one shot ability is nice. But what do you think?
Bubba main here. Only problem with bubba: It's still too ez to bump into objects with him. Some maps have too much stuff close to each other that make him very difficult to use, such as autohaven. Some like mother's dwelling have a pallet every km, so once a pallet is gone you are dead, that's it
-
Perhaps one of the best killers every created and thought. Very easy to balance, very very good against comp players, just needs a buff against flashlights, which destroy her. Medkits need a balancement overall because even against her are also very countering. her add-ons need a revisit. Bodyblock hag is just made to harass and ruin the fun, remove it
-
He is just a m1 killer for 60 seconds. Hitting a skillcheck wakes you up, and his chase potential is not good especially when survivors drop pallets down immediately and just hold W. + OoO signs your aura perfectly always. There's no mindgame because the survivors just see you, that's it.
Try him against comp players, just try it. You'll cry, that's what.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Gonna do a few of these. I believe Doctor is balanced because his movement is standard. His Anti Stealth which is great for dealing with Blendettes, Urban Neas, and Fixated Nancys can be countered by lockers which are common. And his Anti Loop is good but can't counter all loops and can be countered by a pre drop pallet. So what do you think? Is Doctor OP, Balanced, or Trash?
Against really really good players he's not enough. Too long chases, he has only anti stealth and a decent chasing ability. But the chases are too long, not worth against good players. He need a buff
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Let's go more. Yeah he's balanced. What puts him above other Stealth killers is he can do damage while being in stealth. Michael looses undetectable in tier 2. Pig and Wraith have to come out of Stealth first with a noise notification. Ghostface has better control able to put people into exposed at ease. But still a M1 and can be taken out of Stealth.
Against really really good players is just trash. simply
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
Here's another one. I believe she's balanced. If Nurse was easy to learn as Freddy I'd say to OP nerf. But she isn't she has the hugest learning curve in the game. And seeing a genuinely good Nurse is so much rarer so that's why she's balanced. The only killer balanced because of how hard it is to learn her.
Balanced against really good players. Always

I was looking into the oldest post, and i'd really like these feature!

Would love to know, gonna maybe gather some data from this :) Please Specify which killer out of the 3 you have chosen thanks :)
Trapper. You gotta play the whole match praying not to go into a trap. There's no coordination as a solo players for who goes deactivating traps and it's just a massacre.
Basement trapper is even more insane than Bubba's Basement. Because you know 100% they can't get inside before you reset the trap and do a complete massacre.
Just insane what some "basement trapper just do gens" do, what the ######### really.

Which killer gives you immediate goosebumps, when you look at them? Which killer you would most likely have bad dreams about? Which killer you would least want to meet in a dark alley? Who is the most scary, dreadful and menacing killer for you, judging solely by their appearance? All skins count. Powers don't count.
Pyramid and Oni

Which one of these is easily the scariest to you? If I didn't list something you've experienced, it's probably because I never have, or I just forgot about it.
Here's my favorite jumpscare I've gotten with Bubba & Insidious (turn on sound):
This is just the most frustrating option imo. Scary if you come and suddenly see Bubba behind the wall.
Op against solo players, frustrating against good players.
-
Blight is a lot harder than nurse. Telling his true competence against competitive players is quite difficult. I think it might be even harder than nurse
-
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/221474/are-wait-times-getting-worse-on-the-survivor-side
Both as survivor and as killer the times get worse, a lot.
The matchmaking forces me to turn the cross play off unless I wanna find completely garbage survivors that I just destroy. If I play hag against them I simply destroy them AFAF.
So I have to turn off the cross play, to find the insanely good survivors

A poll has already been done, and 90% of the community hates it. End of the story

I'm making a document of ways to buff every weak perk in the game, and I'm not sure on whether or not this should be buffed.
I'll probably make a post like this every week or so with a different perk that I'm unsure of whether it should be buffed. Not every perk though, because obviously Buckle Up or Sole Survivor needs a buff.
It should be buffed, because 20% isn't enough and you need more speed as a survivor to surpass the killer to go to the hook he's going. I'd add 20% increased sabotage speed.
If it resulted op we can adjust it

For those unaware Michael and Huntress's add-ons are the only odd ones left the standard is this
2 Ultra-Rares, 4 Purples, 5 Greens, 5 Yellows, 4 Browns
But Michael's Add-ons
2 Ultra-Rares, 4 Purples, 5 Greens, 5 Yellows, 3 Browns
But Huntress's Add-ons
1 Ultra-Rare, 3 Purples, 5 Greens, 7 Yellows, 4 Browns
Beyond the odd numbers both have busted combos Huntress Iri head+Infantry Belt GG EZ. Michael Tombstone + Judith Myers Memorial GG EZ. So who's do you think should get changed first? And would appreciate a comment by a Dev or Mod.
Mori myers is not competitive, just hiding in a locker completely negates the mori. + takes ages to charge. + just vaulting a pallet indefinitely negates the mori.
Iri huntress is unfair imo

I've seen this on a couple of threads now: What's the one thing you wish you had known when you were a new player - that one tip that would help you immensely in game?
For me, when playing killer, I wish I had known that the survivors could see your red stain (it took me a while to figure this out).
I wish I knew, since January 2017, how incredibly unbalanced dbd is for all killers except Nurse and Spirit( and maybe others like Deathslinger, Oni when lucky, Hag) and that you just have to accept that you're not gonna win against really really good players, it's just not gonna happen

86%. Nothing to say, he needs a buff everyone agrees on

I play without recovery addons, in fact I play without addons and the truth is a headache to play with default as Ghostface because I want to save addons.
20 seconds default are mandatory, not 30, not even 25

How would you change the addons then?
I think 25 base is pretty much a sweet spot that opens up more addon variety as well as improving his addon-less (or just no recovery addons) performance by a significant margin.
20 seems over the top imo.
A killer must be ok with his base kit, and 25 isnt imo
-
@Slashstreetboy said:
I think it should be shorter, and changing the Matchbook, Address Book and Pen in a way that leaves max recovery unchanged.
Base recovery 25 econds
Chewed Pen: -5 seconds recovery
Olsens Address Book: -4 Seconds
Matchbook: -3 Seconds
25 seconds? It's not a good compromise, 20 is acceptable, 25 is not
-
######### I actually voted no... I wanted to vote yes
-
The Killers i find are never toxic, they are just using perks such as noed, and survivors mainly consider tunneling, camping and slugging "toxic", when it's actually what you must do to win against strong players, but plebs with never understand
-
@Mandy said:
Server sided hit validation has been in place for a short while now, interested in hearing people's feedback of it. Any unusual hits, video evidence would be good to show plus in game ping if possible.
It works but not as well when using abilities, as huntress the most common event is getting hit behind a wall
-
The game is not as bugged as people think, stop blaming dead by daylight for nothing. There aren't billions of bugs, they are rare and sporadic, always.
-
Oh btw if I ever find any player doing an exploit such as this thing every time I'll find you in a lobby it will be a direct facecamp, I promise, and i'll use my chainsaw to be the camper king
-
Btw I got fat shamed so many times myself on swamp, if you can't fix a bug just block the map for everyone's health, it's so frustrating

Steam
I was in a game with where the killer had haunted ground and NOED. I cleansed haunted ground at the same time as NOED. They were cleansed so closely there was only one notification. We got affected by the exposed status from Haunted Ground ended but the NOED exposure never cleared. So we stayed exposed even though there were no lit totems on the map.
This was the first time this has happened.
Very difficult to replicate, try to provide a proof even tho it's pretty hard
-
I imagine the survivors "u toxic camper tunneler trapper uninstall pls"
-
Anyone? It seems a bit of a glitch/bug

Coldwind farm for god's sake, removing all god loops

We shouldn't have to pay them for them to do a job they should already be doing as developers.
Yes but covid switched things up, so they might need more support, that's why maybe they were forced to release the twins with tons of bugs(?)

As survivor just going around the entire map just to see whether ruin respawned 4 freaking times is so depressing, geez

I have Devour Hope with 5 tokens and Undying. Someone cleanses DH. The totem disappears. The Undying totem is now a Devour Hope totem with 5 tokens, and the Undying perk shuts off.

Without consideration for the timers of each, meaning if they had their respective abilities for the entire match, who would be stronger?
For my two cents, I'd vote for plague. You can't juke and it just seems that projectiles can have more of an impact, especially if the survivors are already injured, not to mention catching two survivors with one vomit stream. But hey, I haven't even played Oni for thirty minutes yet.
Lol this is Oni 100%. ######### I'd really like to see a match where oni is always in his ability, it would be so interesting to see

Effective but too much slugging, that's a bit strange for solos

You do realize that the killers have been calling for gen times to increase for a long time. It hasn't been done. Technically, both sides have been calling for the game to slow down but the devs want that fast paced action.
I disagree, simply increasing gen times wouldn't solve the problem: first the foundation of the game must be analyzed, if the "bones" of a match work in a balanced way, and then we add perks/items

what happens to the rest of the killers?
They get gen rushed, that's it: Object of Obsession is a constant "enemy spotted" meme across the map, where the undetectable killers lose a lot of potential.
Wraith has simply no chance, just pre dropping pallets simply destroys him, and still a lot of m1 killers: Wraith Trapper Myers Pig(dash is too short) where if you pre drop pallets it's basically GG, game over.

This game has become a game that is based on split second decisions and that either you are right or wrong
It also suffers from the lack of clear intent (Casual vs. Competitive) (Memeing vs. Tryharding)
Players do want to have a visual of how good they are (Competitive/Ranked)... and they want to have fun and enjoy the time they put in (Casual/Unranked)
The decision is simple: you check the stats of millions of players: freddy kills too many players? OP, nerf needed....maybe try to be better at the game, why not.
Also, if this is the process, buff the nurse since she was worst in the list according to the stats 😁

DBD is different because at the highest ranks they're still atrocious. Good players are absurdly outnumbered by bad. You don't see this in games that actually are competitive like shooter games.
Unlike DBD, players tend to improve quickly in competitive games. DBD is casual, so they aren't forced to. That's the reason the majority in this game are so bad. Because it is very casual.
Btw if this is what the devs want to have in mind, there could be a simplified game for newer players: rank 20s must repair 4 gens, other ranks the current game remains, and the top "sweaty" ,or how you call them, have slightly different rules.
But I think this would be still detrimental, because the game isn't compact under a single rule, but on more way of playing
-
@deadbyhitbox said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1850630#Comment_1850630
The majority aren't sweating their asses off to win tho. Why you think Rank 1's are literally all just people who go down in 3 seconds and have 0 clue what to do? People play competitively to improve and win. The majority of the playerbase wouldn't be so awful if it was truly competitive.
Because that's the problem with @Almo 's stats: he checks the 1% of each killer, but what if of that 1% you sort our the 1% of survivors? (Due to how dbd players play I'd expect even less than 1%, maybe 0,5, who knows).
You would find the top sweat tryhards ( AKA people who know how to play....efficiently!...what a surprise!)

If people are sweating their butts off to win, it’s competitive.
Also, the game is marked as "competitive" in the game store. This because competitive doesn't mean "pro league", means that it's supposed to be x players vs x players in the best balanced to make them compete, I guess.
