  • Oh yeah XD. That would be quite fun.

Some really fat guy. Like 180kg/400 lbs. It would look to funny if he would be vaulting Windows or using Sprint Burst.

Why am I imagining this guy be faster than all the others like in this one scene from The Hobbit with Bombur?

  • I'm a bit late but I will contribute to the madness XD I don't have nicknames for everyone though. Since I'm German, it's sometimes a German word for it.

    Wraith: Bing-Bong

Shape: aaaaaahhhhh (getting a heart attack) it's Myers!!!

    Huntress: Hasi (~cute rabbit)

    Hag: Gollum

    Pig: Oink

    Spirit: Staubsauger (=vacuum cleaner)

    Plague: Kotzetante (~puking lady)

    Oni: Bam-Bam

    Deathslinger: Mr. Filch

Executioner: Toblerone (that Pyramid shaped chocolate)

  • I would rather have the ultra high sensitivity while aiming his range attack changed. It makes it so hard to aim.

  • Sometimes it's an insta rescue (wich happen at hooks too btw) and sometimes it takes ages for someone to come. Since Kindred doesn't work, some people just stay where they are because they are "on the other end of the map and have better things (opening a box) to do". I was even one-caged sometimes because no one decided to come.

It really depends on your mates and the map.

And I also had PHs who went directly for the cage to camp it since no BT or DS works.

No offense taken, since I guessed that much. But so many times I won't find these XD. Don't mind me, I'm blind.

  • I rewatched all you clips to evaluate them and what might be the case.

    1. This was just unlucky. He came there randomly and he saw your arms sticking out.

    2. He probably heard the loud queeeaaak Feng made when falling down and came to look for you. Unfortunately he came from the perfect angle to see you.

    3. She heard your footsteps on the metal. She was probably not searching for you directly, though.

    4. He only saw you because you ran. You should have just waited to be sure he really saw you.

    5. He saw you from distance and guessed you were still there since he did not see any scratch marks leading away.

6.Here I'm clueless. Maybe he just saw the rest of your tormented trail when passing the house or he wanted to check on the Gen and found you randomly.

"Also your clothing is not the... let's say, camouflagy one. I can't tell how often I found a survivor just because I saw his her red jacket in the background." - @LapisInfernalis

Spirit can see Survivor's clothes through solid objects / different levels of the map?

It was just an example. Footsteps are also audible quite well especially with a good headset. Even across different levels. Sometimes I just hear the Survivor's breathing, since some of them are quite loud, even if not injured. Hell... TrU3Ta1ent found me once, because he heard my character's breathing through the ceiling.

Believe me, sometimes I also hide somewhere and the killer knows exactly where. But I know that I get these lucky ones too as killer, so I don't complain. Maybe you are really unlucky.

  • In wich rank are you playing?

Did you ever check if he had Spies from the Shadows? And even without that perk, Killers have a good understanding of the crows and what it means if they fly away or reappear. Some killers have just a good idea what Survivors do and how they think. Also your clothing is not the... let's say, camouflagy one. I can't tell how often I found a survivor just because I saw his her red jacket in the background.

  • My friend had the same issue. She couldn't go in but the killer could close it.

Maybe this is only because of the license. At least I hope so.

  • -.- And I really liked that new blonde hair....

  • I really don't know which band I love most, since it's mood dependent, but these are my favourites:

Powerwolf, Sabaton, Amon Amarth, Blind Guardian, Rammstein and Russkaja.

I also like some classic or neo classic music (Soundtracks):

Richard Wagner, Bach, Dvorak, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Hovard Shore, Jeremy Soule and Ramin Djawadi.

  • Spies From the Shadows. Nobody knows you have it. And Dark Devotion is so fun on some Killers.

A friend of mine uses Small Game and Premonition to her perfection. No NOEDs for Killers when I play with her.

  • I was inspired and create some Star Wars related Perk Icons. If interested, ask me for the link when I'm done.

Here are some of my ideas.

    Devour Hope: Death Star

    Leader: Jaig Eyes

    Kindred: Mandalorian Clan Symbol

    Small Game: It's a Trap!

    Make Your Choice: Order 66

    Rancor: Darth Maul

    Left Behind: Delta 07 "Sev"

    Dark Devotion: Sith Holocron

    Insidious: Darth Sidious

    Nemesis: Obi-Wan vs Maul

    For the People: ARC-5555 Fives

This is one of the ways DS is most abusable. AHGHGHAIEAK I hate it so much

I just don't like being slugged. And no, I hate Unbreakable. I rarely get to use it so I don't waste a perk slot for it unless there is nothing else I like more. So it's the locker for me.

You'll still see everyone's game score that they got in a match. You just won't see their "rank".

I know ranks will be invisible and just for your ego, but I still want to know how my ranking was compared to others (in that match and global). I'm a bit sceptical of mmr since who defines what skill is and what not? I hope that it will come with those funny Stat pages you find in online FPS. At least then I would know where I'm not so good at compared to others.

  • @Taiga said:

Robin and Jonathan for Nancy and Steve.

I'm not too familiar with stranger things but that would also be great, yes.

  • This is horrible. No words really tell how awful this is. I can only suggest you help your friend as much as she needs you especially for emotional support. Else I would do what the others said here.

I also noticed on the PTB that there was a "Block player" function in the end screen. Use this when it is implemented. Change your names and avatars often, make your profile private or only for friends. Change your character in game and/or outfits. I'm often recognized because I play mostly Jeff with a very unique cosmetic combo. Be a notice-me-not.

I hope your friend will never have to deal with him again, so she can be happy once more.

  • Put the troll-face everywhere. DS, Noed, Blood Warden...

    You get what I mean.

  • @LordGlint said:

New MMR wont even have "red ranks" anymore. Nobody will see an actual rank. If all goes well, the only thing youll notice is the people your playing with and against should be similarly skilled as you, but you wont know how far away from top tier or bottom tier you are.

And this is the problem I have with it. I want to see how well I did compared to the others in a match and how potato/good I am in total. In Deathgarden (another game of BHVR) they added a little leaderboard which I really liked. You could see your positioning and (in %) how good you were in total.

And I would like to see the others' score. I want to know If Matchmaking was evil.

  • I had this issue sometimes since the Mid-Chapter. But usually I take a yellow ping and next match it is green again.

This is the reason I would like to know where I'm connected to (normally it should be Frankfurt since I live in Germany) but sometimes I think I am connected to the US or Asia when this stuff happens.

  • Killer:

Nemesis or Infectious Fright (is that still "new"?) on Myers and Thrilling Tremors when I don't have BBQ to find my Gen to pop.

For Survivor I tried Inner Strength, Better Together or For The People for some time but they never did make it in my Standard Kit (Kindred, DS, Iron Will and Spine Chill). Off the Record is a nice alternative on a Survivor where I don't have Iron Will.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

Are 10 seconds really killing you?

You can't leave the survivor slugged on the floor for 10 more seconds?

I laugh at killers when they say "Survivor Immunity" because slugging isn't an option.

I completely forgot this game bans any killer who slugs and it's not an efficient strategy and need to find another excuse to have DS nerfed.

You CAN get cocky plays with DS. Hell I did them and was on the receiving end of those plays too. But these are only EGC cases for me since I do not tunnel early or mid game. I can understand Killer's who talk of an immunity, but you are also right that, as killer, you can always slap the person instead of grabbing them and slug. Except for the locker, but honestly... I'm so glad that you can't get around DS that way.

  • @Mister_xD said:

i always viewed pop as a top tier killer perk for gen slowdown ever since its release.

i think the reason why it wasnt very popular was, as it's been completely overshadowed by the old Hex:Ruin.

the number buff was nice, but its not the main reason why the perk got very popular all of a sudden.

More because it was the only good thing that remained to slow down gens.

The other options require multiple perks, are a contradiction in themselves (DL) or are just not good enough at high level play.

  • @Sluzzy said:

No perk should remove the opponents objective progress for simply doing your own objective. A good killer will always and I mean always down survivors quickly.

PGTW needs to be redesigned into something like overcharge, if you miss a very difficult skillcheck then the progress is removed. I don't like the perk at all, I feel like it carries killers that are high mobility and that means it was not well thought out.

Problem is, that there is no really good alternative to PGTW. Dying Light is a contradiction in itself, and other Gen stalling perks are either destroyed in 14s, work only at the beginning, require multiple perk slots to work or are just not good enough.

I know how strong PGTW is on mobility killers (man I play Freddy a LOT) but slower killers need that longer timer. I can understand you want do make it somewhat consistent and like a reward, but that skillcheck mechanic is not working against good Survivors. Same for Overcharge. I hit that skillcheck most times, I only miss sometimes when I'm not prepared for it or if it is one of Doc's Skillchecks where it comes reverse and as soon as it can be. And what is the problem at high ranks? Time. If you are not fast enough to apply pressure or are unlucky to find no one you need every tiny bit of regression you can get. PGTW is the only thing I can rely on to help me going against my time problem even if I do a good job.

The Devs said they'll gonna change the early game (like they did with EGC). Until then, PGTW should stay as it is. But after the rework I am open for changes.

for example: "If you have the 'brrowed time effect' DS de-activates" (so that stops a 2 hit, then a DS at end game) or just have it so "When the exit gates are powered DS can no longer activate"

So you are suggesting that because someone else brings a perk, I can't use my own stuff? Sorry but no. I'm fine with getting DS'ed during the EGC. I either have enough kills or lost anyways.

I am i killer main. I do not say anything about survivor perks except Object.

Yeah. Object is a pain for me as Freddy Main.

  • @caz_ said:

i keep listening and reading about Killer mains saying Survivors have to many second chance perks, that everyone use only meta perks. but i also read and listen to them saying "nerf this and that perk" example Mettle of Man.

When mettle of man came out for the first time it was Broken af but after the first nerf it was pretty good but somehow killer mains still complained about how broken it still was when you needed 3 unhooks to get that perk activated.

now i listen to people saying the upcomming perk is to strong for the new survivor what will give you the BT effect and they again ask for a nerf. now the real question is.. are you really sick of people using only DS,Adren,BT or do you just want them to use these perk? if you really want them to use something different why you want everything to get nerfed? that is not how it works. you cant ask all the time for a nerf and then complain about "every survivor use the same build" well maybe because of that reason?

Anyways i took a look ingame to the perks of survivors and i saw exactly 20 useful perks you could use in rank1 against rank 1 killers.

then i went to killer perks to see how many useful perks killers have and i count 36 + all different killers you can play + synergy of some builds.

for survivors you dont have the choice if you wanna win. means no meme builds. with the +50survivor perks you can maybe do 3-4 synergized perk builds what will help you to win.

now here are the perks if you're intersted on my list.

    Survivor

Now the question here is do you really want people to use perks like Streetwise, Vigil, Autoditact (what is never working because of RNG) or lightweight? or do you really want to ask all the time for a nerf for a good perk so survivors are forced to use the Meta to have a chance or fun in a game?

Killer mains need to stop with thinking every game is against a SWF. you maybe wont belive it but there also people like me who play solo, or duo. so do everyone a favor and stop asking for a nerf and maybe ask for a buff for the bad survivor perks and maybe people start using them? i guess that is enough ranting against the MAIN player.

maybe change your mind and try the opposite side? you'll get more understanding about everything.

Problem is that Survivirs' 2nd Chance perks can be stacked and (worst case) be in use up to 4 times. Have you ever "tunneled" 3 Survivors at the same time and had to eat their DS because you were effective and they were stupid and reckless?

I, as someone who loves to play both sides, have no problem with the new perk. I hate it if someone picks me up and the killer just slaps me down again. It helps against the slugging meta or the end game noed slugging.

  • @Emikol said:

It's not really a hack it's an external program reading the live log. (My understanding of it) yes it's a thing out there and I've found the best solution is to load into a lobby with Doctor (unless you planned to use him) then swap to your desired killer at about 5-6 seconds before the game starts. This also means you need to prep the killer ahead of time.

Best case you load into a game with 2-4 of them wasting a slot on calm spirit, worst case they realized they got outplayed and DC at the load screen. As for third, none of them had it and don't know any better.

LOL if that's the case, that explains why I see more Object of Obsession when I play Freddy and more Spine Chill when I play Pig XD. Maybe I should use this strategy too. Switch from Ghost Face/Wraith to Freddy, so I don't get Objects.

  • @Nurgling7 said:

    Decisive Strike.

Why would you need a free escape rewarding sloppy play when you could use better perks and actually avoid the killer instead? And if the Killer hits me right off the hook, then it was the dumbass farming Survivor at fault, not the killer TuNnElInG.

Problem is, that you can't do anything against those stupid mates. I rather have DS not used in some cases than getting farmed and "tunneled" because the killer was taking advantage of the bad play I have no control over.

  • Survivor:

Adrenaline: I used it for some time, but I noticed that my Paladin like playstyle often gets me killed in the late game before the last gen pops. I also don't like having 3 perks for 90% of the game.

Deliverance: Every time I use it, I get hooked first.

Sprint Boost: I always tend to waste it and I hate to walk all the time.

Self Care: I stopped using this over a year ago. You just waste so much time. I rather use Iron Will and let my mates heal me at the hook.

    Killer:

Noed: I used it when I was a noob killer, but now? Nah. Same reason as with Adrenaline.

Corrupt Intervention: Depends on the killer, but usually I never find someone for 2min when I use it XD.

  • @ALostPuppy said:

The only change I'd probably agree to is 15% faster pallet breaks in Tier 3. Survivors slam pallets against tier 3 Mikey all day so something to slightly counter that would be nice, because if a survivor has 2 or 3 pallets with a maze tile all chained together, they can run him for the entire duration of his T3. Stacking brutal strength with this would be pretty nice.

Imagine this with Bamboozle and Brutal Strength OMG. O.O

  • @Shocktober said:

He is a worse ghostface without the right build or add-ons. Without a tombstone there is no reason to use him for single targets over ghostface.

With normal EW3 add-ons he needs IF or he is still a worse ghostface (unless you are camping people to half with the remaining power).

But with IF or a tombstone he is way more powerful than ghostface once he tiers to 3. It's just a question of how many gens did it cost you to get there.

Problem with If (which I use with M&A) is useless on big maps and/or if the Survivors decide to split up. Many times you cannot get to them before EWIII runs out.

    @Zoldyar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/159587/do-you-think-myers-needs-a-buff-and-if-yes-which-one

Remove evil within 1 and only add it as a add on to gain more bloodpoints. At the start of the game, you will probably get tier 2 when two or 3 gens are done. That’s what makes him stupidly weak because he is helpless in tier 1. That’s all really.

Nah. Him having 3 tiers makes him unique. If you use PWYF to see what higher MS does in EWI, you'll notice it does a LOT without being too powerful. This is why I'm for higher MS in EWI.

  • @Poweas said:

I think EW2 needs more utility, so perhaps you could remove his Red Stain to make it somewhat unique and worth it compared to the other 2 stages. Since rn, it's EW1 or EW3 for a game plan, and you're forced in EW2 most the time so it could use more utility.

Aside from that, if that is too OP, his stalking should be 20% faster at base, and his stalking increase addons could use a nerf since they'd be godlike with that buff. Also, let him stalk through cracks lol. I was so excited when Myers got fixed, only to find out he's outdated and GF is a better option.

I like your ideas. That would make EWII really unique and the stalking easier.

  • @Dead_by_Gadfly said:

I think in ew3 he should move a little faster. Maybe 118

    That would be terrifying.

    @BabyCameron10 said:

I would probably give him an increase to breaking pallets at EW3 and an Instant Break at Breakable walls too. This would make him a lot scarier when going against him. They should also take a look at his add ons as some seem like complete garbage.

Yeah. Like a little Brutal Strength. And some add-ons are just meh (looking at you, jewelry and shard add-ons).

    @JasonS said:

Making it easier to get out of Tier 1 would be my main objective with any Myers buff, but I'm not sure what would be the best way to do that.

And while we're at it, remove the movement speed penalty from Vanity Mirror. I like to mess around with semi-stealth T2 Myers every once in a while and the fact that Vanity Mirror is so incredibly bad pisses me off. Even scratched mirror is better.

Oh yeah. Vanity Mirror is just underwhelming. You are 107% with 16m TR (without M&A and Dead Rabbit) and 16m Wall Hack... Of course it is better to move at 105% and be completely stealthy with double wall hack. I never really used Vanity Mirror.

  • Buffs:

Freddy and Doctor, Kindred, Undetectable Status blocking Object of Obsession, Stealth killers getting Undetectable Status

    Nerfs:

Nurse, Spirit's vaulting animation and Prayer Beads, DS (although it still needs tweeks), Insta Heal, God Loops on the old maps, Mattle of Men (but now it is garbage)

The reason I'm not playing Nurse is she feels very buggy since her rework. Before the rework I was a good nurse, not a great nurse. Never used more than 2 blinks. After the rework now I'm an okay nurse. The recharge requires me to save one of my blinks when traversing the map because I don't want to find someone and be empty. Normally I have to use my blinks just to close distance then wait for recharge and blink again to try to land a hit. Survivors don't even try to juke her anymore. They just run in a straight line when they are first spotted because they know she can't catch up to them on the first set of blinks without range add ons. When I try to do a quick blink through an object there's a good chance I won't pass through it. Missing a blink feels very punishing. I know how to play as Nurse but I just don't have fun with it anymore. It feels like I'm fighting the game as well as 4 other people.

I only play Nurse for the daily, so I don't know of bugs. But I always had a feeling that my hits didn't hit although I should have. I thought it was because I'm bad or because of lag.

  • The reason you don't see many Nurse's now is more because many players relied on Omega Blink or liked to abuse it. Now with that gone, many stopped playing her. Yes with the recharging it is more difficult than before and Nurse has more counterplay now, but she is still very strong in the right hands. I have faced God like Nurses who decimate everyone even against really good Survivors.

Most Nurse players just didn't want to invest time in learning her again. It's like with those kids you stole their favourite toy from. I have seen Streamers reacting like that when she got changed. They did not even try to learn.

The killer challenges seem brutal. Good thing I don't need to rush the challenges for the new killer. I've got 2 weeks to do it which I'm happy with.

A bit problematic if almost every killer had Infectious Fright. How did u do it? Or were you lucky with a farming Killer?

  • The challenge hide 60s in 10m of the killer is just ridiculous. How am I supposed to do this when I do not have all the good perks for it (Iron Will, Calm Spirit, Urban etc) on Dwight?

  • #########, this is so stupid. I know there was a similar one with Claudette, but it was either not in one match or for much less time. I hope they change it.

  • 4. You can be a jerk and block the Gen on 99% without need. True Nea perk.

  • Some walls you just have to break. Actually you can just break one of the toilet room walls so Survivors might get trapped. The one wall right next to the really strong window in the classroom is better be left alone I think. The time should be enough to get the survivor looping this.

  • @Fibijean said:

Although I haven't tried every one of them myself, I can say with about 95% confidence that the answer to almost all of those questions is no, cages do not affect any hook-based perks, whether the activation condition is a hook or a rescue.

When using Rite of Judgement, PH is slowed to 4.4m/s, which is 110% movement speed - the same as Huntress, Hag, Spirit or Deathslinger.

So that means almost every good Killer/Survivor perk is somewhat useless. But at least this goes for both sides.

1 … 53 54 55 56 57 … 64
