Have you ever had someone get the trap off their head first box? Hook one person who will continue the game with 4 players so I can be pressured on 2-3 gens while in a chase, or quickly eliminate 1 so I can only be pressured on 1-2?
Is that even a question?

Artist. Not gonna lie, the better I get at this Killer, the more I see her becoming a problem in the future. I am actually making swf swat teams cry - it's laughable. She requires a lot of skill too, I would equate it to learning Nurse.

It doesn't change the fact, but it adds a counterpoint.
They're not the same. Why is this hard to understand?
Why does my opinion matter to you so much?

That was way before killswitch. Pretty sure the disabling of bloodlust was back before All-Kill even came out.
Killswitch was introduced during the PTB for Hour Of The Witch. Killswitch specifically has only been used for things that are in a significantly bugged state (Object of Obsession, Wake Up, Nurse, etc) or maps that are in the process of being reworked (the only case is Haddonfield).
We know that, doesn't change the fact they did it.
-
Remember they killswitched bloodlust for a test
-
DBD in a Nutshell;
- Nurse is the best Killer in the game, because she is hard to play, but very rewarding.
- Lower tier killers seriously need a buff or else all the Killers are going to start practicing playing Nurse, and that's all your going to face.
- Too many Nurse players, please nerf Nurse, you've nerfed weaker killers for less.
Ngl it's funny to watch.
-
People use NOED?

Dead by Daylight kind of feels like middle school. They all laugh at one kid, till that kid shows up with a shovel. Then it's "Waah Tommy hit me with a shovel" and Shovels get banned from recess.
-
Terror Radius, and Lullaby's are two different effects. Monitor and Abuse doesn't affect either character's Lullaby. It also does not affect Huntresses Lullaby.
-
Give this a read; https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Emblems
A break down to ensure you get the pip's
- Be the one who cleanses totems, you really want to be the one who cleanses hex totems
- Work on generators
- Be the one to open an exit gate, not 99 it, open it.
- Avoid getting hooked
- Get unhooks, but ensure you get a 'Safe Hook Rescue'
- Don't let other's get hooked
- Heal other survivors
- Hide from the Killer (be in the killers terror radius)
- Have chases longer than 20 seconds.
- Escape chases without getting injured/downed
- Get pallet stuns
- Have matches last longer than 9 minutes.
Run perks that help your Emblem points - not for second chances or to ensure your escape. Instead of Decisive Strike take Borrowed Time, instead of Adrenaline take We'll Make It. Instead of Dead Hard take Lithe - This perk allows you to take off after putting an obstacle between you and the Killer, it's free escaped points. Detectives Hunch is an excellent information perk that encourages you to complete gen's, and then is very useful to cleansing totems/hexes.
Follow 3 CHRS - 3 Cleanses, 3 Heals, 3 Repairs, 3 Saves.
You don't get many points in chases, and the Evader emblem is just as easy to complete by hiding in the Killer terror radius, so the easiest way to pip is to be immersive, and finish gens, while ensuring you do 2-3 totem cleanses on the way. Make hook saves, and heal the other survivors.
After understanding your objectives and the Emblem system, I got grade 1 survivor in no time - you even pip up when you die. You'll find it easier than trying to pip up Killer.
-
He's cracked the code. We'll Make It is the best healing perk. 90 seconds is a exceedingly long time to have this kind of buff to healing. I have games where I only have to get 1-2 unhooks, and I had a healing buff all game. No need for any other kind of healing perks.

Well, I was 66% right. I really should have said Borrowed Time and/or Decisive Strike. It's iffy.
Well actually the survivor perks I use is for the purpose of getting the most out of the emblem system, and not because 'playing survivor is hard'. Good survivors can easily play the game with no perks at all, with only using items in the game and pallets/windows to escape the Killer.
BT grants ensured safe unhooks regardless if the Killer returns to the hook, Detectives shows me where totems are so I can cleanse at least 2-3 each match, Lithe ends a chase simply by zooming away and the Killer is forced to lose chase (giving me the 'escaped' condition) taking time going around, break a pallet, or through a window before catching up and starting another chase with me (Which I then get another 'escaped' condition when they give up chase, or I run them for the rest of the gens), We'll make it triggers survivors to stop and let me heal them instead of finding other means to heal themselves, and if the Killer doesn't come back to hook - I get a safe unhook, and free heal in a short amount of time. Then keep the bonus to healing for 90 seconds to heal other survivors in the match for even more emblem points for healing healing states in the match.
Entirely has nothing to do with why you think Survivors take meta perks into the game. Honestly I find meta perks to be detrimental to survivors, they allow players to ignore their mistakes so they don't learn to get better at the game. Then proceed to become entitled because they have a fabricated idea that they were better than the killers they face. I also find some meta perks detrimental to the emblem tree, like adrenaline. You don't get any points to your emblems when Adrenaline gives you a healing state.

For survivors, yes.
At high MMR you are forced to play certain perks or you lose. You have to play Decisive Strike, because it's the only perk that allows you to counter tunneling-off-hook-till-dead at gen 5. You have to play Borrowed Time because it's the only perk that allows you to counter Face-Camping/Camping in general at gen 5. You have to have an endurance perk so you can extend chases. That really only leaves 1 perk slot you can play around with. It's an extremely stale meta that has been the exact same for 4 years.
With the CoH nerf, I wouldn't be surprised Adrenaline takes it's place.
Me sitting in high survivor mmr with Borrowed Time, Detectives Hunch, Lithe, and We'll Make It....

Thanks a bunch!!!

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU CATER TO SURVIVORS TOO MUCH
The forum gets changed to comic sans
-
Or change DH that it just downs you instead of dashing forward. Make it play a fart noise too, just for the giggles.
-
It all makes sense now.
-
I don't know if you know this
but this is a flying lemur baby
-
Since Survivors ignore punishment so often with perks and other conditions, they don't have any reason to learn or become more skilled at the game.
-
Good point. @MandyTalk ?
-
- I wouldn't really say Nerf it compared to putting hooks in high places to circumvent players using this perk to gain hook immunity in maps like Ormond, and RPD. You put a hook or two in the top of Ormond, and the RPD library then this perk will be balanced. Otherwise, remove "Fills your Wiggle Meter by 33 % of your current Wiggle progression upon landing, when the Killer drops from great heights."

Not you lying to me
I think your view is just clouded by people using "your an x main" as a way to dismiss their opinion. Sure everyone has a side they play more, but out of the most common forum users they appear to play both roles.

It's made up of mostly people that play both sides.

OH god... I read the comments after i saw this and one of them is (paraphrasing) "I don't see the problem. You can just snuff it as killer and move on. It gives me longer matches but i don't see the point when killers move faster than survivor?"
yes.. totally plays killer >.>
Lol "I don't see the point when killers move faster than survivor"
That's so OP /s

God, these survivor sided devs suck /s
They've probably noticed that if they don't start balancing for Killer and making Killer fun again their game is going to dwindle. It would be terrible if the game got hit with a WoW 2021, it wouldn't be able to recover.
-
CoH was only an issue on a SWF anyways. We'll Make It does it's job 100x better.
-
I tend to see tombstone Michaels always has trouble getting any kills or even tier 3 once before all the gens are done.
The Michaels I see winning are the ones running Memorial, and Rabbit.

He's got one of the best pick rates in the game. So it's not a case of being rarely played.
Outdated stats, and unreliable since it doesn't take into account MMR brackets, or time played. BHVR purposely releases stats that should be taken at face value rather than concrete evidence. The goal is to give you a better idea and understanding of something, rather than saying "this is how it is".
-
But at the same time, think how that killer feels? Yesterday I played a few games of Killer. Couldn't get past game 5 just because it was back to back swf, or very coordinated survivors. The toxic ones didn't help.
There needs to be weak players in each game in order for both sides to have fun, but then we have the problem the "weak" player isn't going to have a good time either.

I think all Boons should have a cooldown attached to them... Either after setting one or after it gets Snuffed
Or have it lose range/ what ever the effect(s) are on the Boon
I would point the finger at COH but I think it be best to include all Boons in this
Bless a totem, and the totem remains blessed for 60-90 seconds (Whatever a balanced amount of time would be) before going out.

Does "Juke" have any real meaning?
Like guy's what's a "juke"? I've heard it be anything from doing a "360", attempting window tech, to knowing tiles, and running in circles around obstacles.
Anyways, if you know how to play against Huntress, Nurse, and Pyramid Head than artist is a breeze. If you can't beat one of those Killers, then there are Artist playstyles that will stomp you.
-
This may surprise you, but the actual difference is a hatchet throwing hag woman that tries to raise children in the forest, and a mechanically crazed western bounty hunter with anger issues.

Yes, we're planning to share what was testing afterwards. If we find anything interesting, we're hoping to share some stats on the tests as well.
Is it bad that many of us are still avoiding playing Killer? I imagine that is greatly skewing the results.

To be fair we don't even have regular hooks spread evenly across the map.
I legit just played on Ormond with Huntress, no oaks and twice I had to drop survivors because the hooks were too far apart. Not one sacrifice before them either. I was very confused.
I had given up using Scourge Hooks because their spawning makes them very unreliable.

I had to turn off commenting on my steam profile :(

We are going to keep answering this thread so it makes front page so the players of this game see this.

To be honest the new Legion music doesn't really sound like what I would expect from a Killer. There's less ambience, and kind of feels like a rock/metal concert?
Though all the other music and sounds are great. Especially Claudette's scream.

Playing Killer in Dead by Daylight is truly a difference experience than many other online team games.
You are solely responsible for each and every decision you make as Killer. This isn't League of Legends where you can say "My team sucked" or "Jungle never ganked". If you lost, it was because YOU (the Killer) played poorly.
Any enjoyment also has to be created by the Killer. There is no clear win condition for Killer. It is not concrete for survivor, but much more clear.
I say all of this because it's truly Killer's enjoyment of the game that is waning. Taking balance out of the equation, There are too many tedious things stacked against them to create their own enjoyment anymore.
Notice an uptick in face-camping? Directly a result of this.
Essay aside, I agree with you. I wouldn't use the word "cater", but all the enjoyable additions (lately) are Survivor based.
There is a clear win condition for the Killer. Literally t he screen says at the end of the trial if the Entity was displeased or not.
I am really getting tired of the amount of people saying this game doesn't have clear win conditions, or "you gotta make your own win conditions". No. There are clear win conditions, but you can choose to ignore them for your own.
The Killer's job is to please the entity, or else the entity punishes them with torture. The end of the match the first thing you see is if you pleased the entity or not, and an idea of just how well you did the murdering.
Survivors is pretty easy to understand. Escape. It's the first thing you see at the end of the tiral if you died or not. Now sure, some people change that win condition to more escapes for your team, or how much impact you made that match.
Some people leave their victory up to pipping or not - cool.
But the game does tell you if you win or not.
-
I was never good at Artist. Which is odd, because I am good with Huntress, Trickster, and Deathslinger.
Sadako however. Quite literally I don't only stomp survivors like potato's, but I plant, water, and grow them into the perfect Bloodpoint fodder.
She's like Freddy on crack, minus the anti-loop, and let's be real Freddy's anti-loop wasn't even that great.
-
I guess I am probably ruining these tests by only playing Survivor, as a person who plays both sides, and used to play more Killer.
-
Thanks for the feedback guys, keep it up. To add more; Did you enjoy doing this achievement? and Would you like to see more achievements like this for future chapters?
-
No Mither, Self Care, Inner Strength, Adrenaline
-
SWF would have an easier time figuring out who the impo- I mean killer is, but it would still be really fun to play, and the SWF would only be able to counter it as fast as they can pass information - if they even do.
-
Greek Legends I found to be really cool. Spirit's Nyx alone makes this collection my favorite.
-
To think a Killer this iconic went from being bad but fun to play, to very powerful befitting his popularity, into a weak joke.
I wonder what Robert Englund would think, or Jackie Earle Haley.

You should, period.
If you are not able to do something, it does not mean that it is impossible.
You might be just lack of skills, or there were no intention at all.
Pick your choice.
Hmm. Thought it over, and my choice is; You can't ban people for using a VPN in a video game.
