  • Ah, the ole "This side is evil, unlike my side"

A tale as old as time

It's not anyone's job on either side to "accommodate" anyone. I want to play the game, not spend every game I play analyzing who may be doing what challenge and help them. If it's not at the detriment to myself, then sure, I will.

As a spin on what you've said, in my experience survivors very rarely ever help me with just about anything, unless they themselves want something. You're expected to do all of these things so that survivors have a good time, but survivors are generally just ruthless and never give me any lol

  • Wew. Lots of people who don't know what they're talking about doing everything they can to justify Nurse being where she is because they like her there.

  • "Repair 4 gens in one match" is a good example of something that isn't really challenging as it is impossible.

There's a lot of challenges that are just ridiculous and I realize that maybe you ran out of ideas for them but still. I hope everyone who spent money on this learned an important lesson for the next battle pass.

Not everyone plays this game like it's their life, but I suppose those people can just spend money to get all tiers completed :)

  • Crosshair built into your monitor

    #1 tip: Be patient.

Use Whispers, NC, BBQ, Ruin. You need tracking perks because you're so slow and you cannot afford to waste your time.

You need to get familiar with what you can throw over, what you can't, and what tiles you can play with her. It's a very long learning experience. Good survivors can and will make hitting hatchets mid range difficult, close-ish range you simply wait for them to strafe left/right then let it go mid to opposite to their current strafe.

You should also accept the reality that you can make one mistake and lose an entire match because of it or a very bad chase. She's fun, learn to have fun, but learn to accept that you're going to lose a lot. Often to your own faults, often to your own mistakes, often to things out of your control

Huntress is only a top tier killer in the hands of a very good player controlling her, and even then you can very easily lose

  • Imagine being so bad at the game that you actually bring a wasted perk like Franklin's into a match when you can literally have just a little awareness and avoid it. Clearly something some people lack like this guy.

I would rather lose and have 4 people escape and try to have fun and improve, than camp someone. Tunnel? Maybe if I have to really do it, but even then I usually avoid it.

Some people will look for any excuse they can to justify the scummy way they play, simply because they're bad at the game. Guess what? The vast majority of second chance perks survivors have are total BS. They punish good killers who do not tunnel and camp more than they punish those that do. But that's life, friend. Grow a pair.

  • I think that people who say that most all killers are fine because "I can 4k on any killer", or anything else like that, are idiots.

Just because any killer can win, doesn't mean every killer is in a good spot balance wise.

  • It's almost like that's his power and you have to play differently against him. It's almost like if he didn't have that, he would be bottom tier M1 garbage. Hell, his main stalk ability is so inconsistent people use his lack of terror radius and red stain as his main power.

I can't believe I see threads about Wraith and GF having to be nerfed. Have we really reached that point now? Where we just complain and try to get every killer nerfed?

The only thing I agree on is his stalk and the inconsistent nature of pulling him out of his power. If you're too close as GF/Michael, you can't even stalk people. Sometimes he comes out instantly, sometimes you stare and he just won't come out. Sometimes you hold your stalk and someone a mile away, or behind a wall, starts getting stalked through walls.

  • Yes. It was always like that.

The quicker you understand there are always manbabies and children that act like that, and you stop caring about things that don't matter, the quicker you won't come on the forums to cry because someone teabagged you at a pallet or acted like said angry child and told you to #########

People have been telling other people to kill themselves in online video games since the beginning of competitive games. Not that I condone that at all, simply report it and move on.

  • Yes. Good SWF should beat any good killer. Before, when you played killer and you saw your friends, or a SWF group with good survivors you recognize, you knew you were going to lose *if you didn't play a top tier killer*

So often time you would Nurse/Spirit them, because that's the only way they'd have a challenge. You can't really do that so much anymore

  • Sounds like you just want to be a special snowflake on a killer that people all agree needs some minor buffs.

He should absolutely have a bag by default to carry at least two traps.

He should have the RNG element of his traps removed or toned down a bit so they're more reliable, so that stepping into a trap is impactful and meaningful, when they're so worthless in red ranks.

His traps, which are his only power and in limited supply, should not be able to be sabotaged.

So, so many killers could benefit from minor buffs, minor tweaks, but all these devs want to do is "rework" everything completely instead of slowly nerfing/buffing things and changing them in a reasonable amount of time. It's the same reason why countless perks are meta for 2 years, overpowered, underpowered. They just don't know how to balance a lot of things in their game.

  • I mean at green ranks you're basically playing against all the sweaty red rank survivors that depip so their queues aren't a half hour as well. So goodluck, you're almost there

If queues take super long for survivors like they currently do you end up with this, but the fact is... it's always happened, so it isn't a recent problem.

  • It's funny how you can draw so many comparisons to Billy when it comes to Oni/LF, and you sit there wondering how stuff like this happens while Billy just kind of sits there sweating.

I always compare stuff like this to how killers like Legion or Ghostface lose their power, which has a moderately long CD, when they miss a swing. It's the type of mistake that's really, completely not needed but for some reason the devs think killers that aren't that great need such downsides. It's exactly why Billy, despite what I'd call being one of the most balanced killers, not receiving the types of nerfs or "downsides" that modern killers are given.

  • Some guy plays 16 games with the best addons and he thinks he's got Wraith and his balance figured out lole

Should I grab 3 of my friends and use all my best survivor addons/perks and see how a killer not playing against potatoes is?

It's exactly right, with his rare addon he's basically just a slightly less subtle Ghostface who can get an easy hit on survivors sometimes. Other than that, he's an M1 killer that can sometimes pop into invis and deny a vault/pallet.

  • Nurse without addons had the same trouble with good survivors as any killer did, and all her nerfs did was make survivors that already knew how to play against her able to abuse her even more, which is one reason she is no longer really played by people at red ranks, because a lot of SWF knew how to play against her. Good players as good as the Nurse can give her a real hard time.

She's generally unfun. You have the slowest killer in the game that was hyper aggressive, now turned into a slow moving killer, who has to go into fatigue, and also wait for blinks. Then, if you're not perfect with your 2 blinks, the survivor will always have distance on you.

Your blinks can be juked much easier at those distances, you can't just randomly blink through the LoS blockers because you'll be punished hard for missing your blinks. Your blinks can very easily be abused by, in turn, having survivors abuse specific areas and objects that, even when in a chase, can mess you up. Ping can mess you up. Large maps can mess you up.

Overall, she's just super unfun to play as. It has nothing to do with her ability to kill. I'd take having to hit a survivor 3 times to put them downed if I could keep the basekit I had, because at least I'd still have fun. She's still a great killer, no doubt, but what good is being great if it's so slow and unfun? I personally think a lot of people just do not understand her problems any more than the devs, and they're just happy no one plays her anymore so they don't want actual discussion. Most people who played Nurse were simply really good with her, so you can't justify her current state by saying that anyone who isn't a top 10 god tier Nurse, who never misses blinks or messes up at all, do just fine. It's ignorant.

  • Here's the thing... as a killer I can screw around, get 1 sacrifice, and walk out of a match having fun, with 3 survivors escaping, and take away 20k+ BP without counting BBQ/Offerings every game. And I'll depip/black pip. Hell, those survivors love it, too, because they walk out with 20k

And that's exactly what I do because in order to enjoy this game and its current state, I have to stay away from red ranks and the miserable experience it can be. I'll take having fun in greens any day over that.

Uhh I'm a survivor main. I suggested this to try to balance things out for lower tier killers. The example you gave is an outlier. You can't balance around rank 1 everyone playing perfectly. Just as you can't balance around everyone being potatoes. You have to find aa happy a median as possible.

Exactly, they should be able to find a middle ground, though at the end of the day most games balance around the best players, and the potatoes? Well it doesn't really matter, since top tier balance won't affect them much. You can't not balance the game because "That wouldn't be fair to bad players and rank 15s!" Any more than you can say "That wouldn't be fair to solo players"

It's kind of like someone who is too strong making excuses for why you can't nerf them, simply because, while it would be totally justified, it's "not fair" to x group.

Except i never run crutch bbq or crutch ruin and still manage 4ks

Spotted the angry survivor main pretending to be a killer lole

Dude. Leave those brownies alone, don't bully.

  • I mean why simply focus on his addons only? You could remove the fact he slows down when he cancels his chainsaw, or make it function a bit more charge-wise like Hillbillies. His regular addons are still pretty decent. There's not a lot you can do that they don't already when his power is as simple as it is. Maybe give him an ultra-rare that gives him a quick dash forward like Hillbilly, but it removes his insta-down.

Who cares about his addons in the first place? A killer should be really strong without addons. There's nothing I hate more than addons that do x positive thing but give y negative thing.

  • I mean they're using a super old engine called Unreal Engine 4, so it'd be hard to make it run smoother and actually give a larger amount of sliders to adjust settings more appropriately. It's not like an engine is only as good as its game designers

    Wait a minute..

  • I mean that's something people have wanted for ages. Not many people use Whispers because most killers benefit from another meta perk that makes up for their weakness, like Spirit Fury which helps in a chase for M1 killers.

It's great on trackers like Nurse, Huntress, you could make an argument for high mobile killers like Billy, who it is amazing on. You really will very, very rarely see it used outside of those, so I see no reason for it not to ignore hooked survivors.

  • The only statistic that matters is how quickly a killer can end a chase. This is a team game, so you wouldn't "balance" the game around the 1v1.

That said, balancing around the 1v1 also affects how quickly the killer can end a chase, which means it's probably better than balancing it around a 1v4.

It's a bit funny because when you look at it from the 1v1 and 1v4 perspective, you start to realize that it is balanced around the 1v4 and not the 1v1, which is where it matters most.

  • Killer at R1 sucks because of the countless second chance perks survivors have and how quickly gens can be done. All of these perks survivors are given to "deal with" scumbag killers simply punish good killers who do none of those things, which is evident at high ranks.

The only way I can enjoy R1 killer is to simply play all the killers or whoever I'm in the mood for, and simply accept the reality that I'm probably going to lose if they're half decent survivors. That's the only way I can have fun.

Other than that you have to be realistic. Oh this is one of a dozen MASSIVE maps, I won't do well as Huntress here, oh the map generated a god window everyone runs to, oh this or that. Being realistic because all of these things out of your control can just make you lose.

Of course I kill 2/3/4 people now and then, pretty often actually. But most of the time they're mediocre survivors. But at red ranks I run into a lot of the same people and a lot of SWF. I'll see some of my friends and I'll look to the few killers that can deal with 4 survivors as good as I am and go "Well, they were all nerfed smile"

At the end of the day I just find myself playing other games, and maybe that's because after 3 years I just kind of don't enjoy the game anymore when I have to try so hard to play it.

  • I can't count how many times I've had someone unhook, have me down the person unhooking, hook them, and then find and down the person who was just hooked, only to get DS'd. That's not tunneling in any, way, shape or form, and the fact that an anti-tunneling perk punishes me for not tunneling shows the inherent flaw in the perk. That itself can kill pressure and make you lose games if you eat it late game. DS is one of a few select few perks in the game that gives EVERY survivor added strength because even if they don't run DS, a killer feels like they have to slug you.

It shouldn't be my job to micromanage this survivor, or that survivor, and count in my head and "just leave them slugged" or whatever else you want to say. Just because you can do this, or you can do that, doesn't mean a perk isn't ridiculous. It's the same stupid argument people make with NOED. "Just destroy the totems" because that totally justifies a busted, crutch perk, right?

Do you know how ridiculous it is to run into a scenario like that, and you have to be aware of x person having DS, otherwise they can lead you on a short chase and jump in a locker, just wasting all of your time. Like, this perk was built to help survivors deal with people who tunnel, but all it ######### does is punish killers who play fair and are just good at the damn game.

  • I really love when ignorant people try to justify one perk with another perk. BL was the only Exhaustion perk that had a passive benefit, and a ridiculously strong one at that. All of the Exhaustion perks function differently, but they're all quite similar, excluding Dead Hard.

You're so desperate and completely lacking in any form of argument that you have to pull the "But NOED" card.

  • I really dislike the amount of killers they release that rely on their power having a cooldown.

Huntress is one of the most picked killers despite her low killrate, and this is because she is so easy to beat and how one mistake can cost you an entire game. But that doesn't matter because win or loss you can still have a ton of fun going for hatchets.

The best and most fun killers are those with active, engaging powers, and killers that can use their skill to win against a survivor, are much more rare these days because the devs are too afraid to make really good killers without huge downsides/counters.

The only M1 killer I enjoy is GF because I've always wanted a killer that could completely remove their red stain and their terror radius, and T1 Michael/T2 with addons was the only one that came close. Unfortnuately GF is tied to his powers CD.

  • You do realize that forums are generally used for feedback, about the things people would like to see changed in the game, right? They're not a place for feel good, happy posts.

Not that I condone idiotic posts of "NERF X" because they fall on deaf and ignorant ears, but there's a lot of good discussion and feedback that people post on these forums. You're just unlikely to find it in the post from an OP.

  • Well, Nurse will feel right at home on it, then.

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

    Okay...killer here.

Why does everyone complain about survivors doing gens? "Gen Rushing" is an idiotic term, just like "Tunneling" and so on. That's literally their main objective...that's their ONLY main objective, aside from the exits gates. If you can't grasp the basics, allow to explain. In Dead By Daylight, all matches come down to this:

Each survivor tags in and out with the killer while other survivors do gens.

That's the most basic concept. If you're a good killer, no one can get to the exit gates before you kill everyone. And that, is a personal issue, NOT a DBD issue.

Okay, so let me get this straight... because something is the objective, it cannot be complained about? Brilliant statement. Objectives are not bound by the laws of balance and fun.

Personally I've seen an increase in the amount of people ignoring people on hooks and doing gens, but judging from the toolboxes I see and the survivor challenges, I'm going to assume they're trying for the annoying gen challenge.

  • Ah, I see. You want your busted perk buffed or reworked into something busted again. I'm so sad that this perk now functions like every other exhaustion perk, and doesn't have an added benefit which makes a lot of places easily abused. Cry my a river, bud.

  • I don't understand what these people are doing or what game they're playing that they get tunneled and camped "every game" I legit do not believe you. On console? Yeah, maybe I believe you.

I didn't play survivor for 6 months and went from brown to red ranks, and I think I got camped once or twice out of countless games, and that was because I was in the basement. I got tunneled a handful of times, sometimes I can't blame the killer, other times it made me angry because I played killer more and I could tell they were just garbage.

Camping and especially tunneling have resulted in a lot of BS perks in the game, to be honest.

That being said I generally let the killer catch me by doing something intentionally dense, both to not make them angry enough to camp or tunnel me, and to also give my teammates some points and pip progress. That's unless I know they will do either of those two things, in which case I'll run them for as long as I can. Maybe it's just because I have a bit of sympathy for killers because I play both sides and understand the reasoning for why people do things.

  • Distressing/Unnerving/Overwhelming/Ruin

Forget the addons, think it was green power extension and calm? But I don't really play Doc these days, that was my build from like 2 years ago. It always did really well, but at the end of the day Doc sucks. He usually devolves into an M1 killer who can only use his power at unsafe pallets. Rarely can you time a shock to stop a vault/drop

  • @hocrux said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/109062/why-keys-can-be-broken

This never happens to me ever and i consider myself a killer main, this situation can only occur with swf, and usually they are very altruistic, so you should have ample time to notice if one of them is carrying a key, i'm not disproving your particular case but merely highlighting the odds of being in that particular situation

I don't think "Only SWF do this" or "You can just find and camp/tunnel the person with the key in the game" would ever be very good arguments for how a key might be fine.

I mean if you can have a fun, close match, and you're working your butt off as the killer, only to have 2-3 survivors simply jump into a hatch and leave? I can't see a world where that's fine. I hadn't had that happen to me at all for months. I think I had it happen 3 times in a month recently, which isn't a lot so it isn't a massive deal, but I can't help but feel like it made me waste my time.

  • So. Red ranks. Low pickrate. Low killrate. Unfun. All the hallmarks of a killer that is underperforming and certainly one that has been overly nerfed.

BHVR: We're not going to do anything about the Nurse.

Yeah. Who cares about the countless people that have given great feedback, arguments and tried to explain things. Heck, even the stats you guys love so much point to all of these things. Let me guess: there's 40 other variables at play for why the Nurse is where she is currently. After all, statistics only matter when you want them to matter.

  • Rework the blink charges, remove the fatigue reducing addons, remove her blink charges.

Even the people who thought Nurse was busted still mostly agreed her base kit shouldn't be touched. Now no one plays Nurse and anyone who does does not even like it because she feels miserable.

Who's bright idea was it that went Hm. How about a fatigue, a blink CD, all ontop of the LOWEST ms killer in the game? Wow. Great idea, Greg. Way to turn one of the most aggressive, quick killers in the game to a BRICK.

What's more annoying is survivors who don't play Nurse or understand it, or killers. They just say "lol still most OP killer" and think that means she's fine. She's not.

Like, I don't understand. How does a dev go on about not drawing conclusions from statistics and then justifies her low pickrate, and then says that she still has a higher than 50% winrate and is climbing? Literally ALL killers have high winrates. You're using your own statistics to justify an argument and then saying "Don't draw conclusions from said statistics"

You're also completely ignoring ALL of the complaints people have about Nurse and just talking statistics yourself. If that's the case, why rework Doctor? He's doing quite well for himself! I just think you reworked a killer and now everyone that plays that killer does not like it.

It's not about 4ks, it's not about being overpowered, it's not about killrates, or pickrates. You reworked a killer in your game for years and put her into an unfun state for the people playing her. It's as simple as that.

  • Generally speaking, all games that are "competitive" in any way balance from the top, and then the rest of the potatoes it doesn't have much of an impact on either way.

Since DBD has one mode and it's called "ranked" you can say that it applies to this game.

  • I don't see the problem with the odd killers power having the ability to bypass a certain perk any more than OoO not affecting certain stealth killers.

While it is good against campers or tunneling, people often use it and abuse it to simply save a teammate when they otherwise would never have done so if they didn't have BT. Often as the killer is simply walking away or in another chase with someone else.

  • Less reliance on his traps being RNG - make traps feel like they have an impact

Starting with 2 traps at least by default

Removal of the ability to destroy his traps

Potentially allow for 1 special trap to be placed that cannot be disarmed.

Congratulations, you just made Trapper at high ranks much better without having to spend half a year on reworks. Unfortunately these devs don't tend to slowly buff killers, they just rework them, for better or worse :)

  • Yeah it's not like people paid for it :)

I mean I'm all for challenges, but you can't put a challenge like "Kick 40 gens/pallets" which isn't challenging, then put "Unhook safely 2 survivors during EGC" and think that makes any sense.

Challenges are great, and most of the challenges weren't all that difficult. But some of them, and a lot from the T4 rift? Yeah, they're absolutely ridiculous for numerous reasons. Sorry if you can't understand that and think that only bad players are complaining, when they're not the only ones.

And just so you're aware, this "battle pass" is 100% not worth the majority of the lackluster rewards you receive for the grind it asks of you, especially if you don't play a lot. All I get from your post is that you want to be a special snowflake, which is ironic because guess what? Any scrub can buy every single tier and get your reward.

  • Just played 5 straight 0k games with survivor without using any add-ons. 2 games all generators were completed. 2 games all generators were completed and 1 game all generator was completed.

    I didn't care about Ruin.

survivor mains will complain, but this just goes to show how unbalanced the game is..

Not fun to play 50% of the time as a killer. Not difficult enough to play 50% of the time as a survivor

Yes I get that taking Ruin off would make the game more interesting, but at the same time, when the goal is to kill all of the survivors, why would I want to allow them any more advantage?

  • @ABannedCat said:

Whether a pallet is "wasted" or not solely depends on your team's capability to hold down M1 on generators.

If you and your team are not afraid to do generators, the only time a pallet is wasted when you get hit as you throw it down.

However if you team just crouches at the outskirts of the map, or does totems, chests, etc, then you are better off squeezing more time out of every pallet. Use windows whenever possible, loop the pallet multiple times, do bolt moves like baiting the pallet drop, et cetera, et cetera. Because you will need the limited ressources later on in the match.

I mean... if you're camping pallets, or you run to one and barely put 1 loop into it, then you're wasting pallets. If the killer is good you might need those pallets later, especially if they're doing this at safe pallets early game.

  • Yes, they do, although DS applies to 4 people. DS can absolutely kill your momentum in a number of ways and in many ways is abused as a so called "anti-tunnel"

Either way, they're crutch perks that do reward failure, in the same way a perk like DH rewards you for a bad loop and an unpunished mistake. If I chase/down, even hook another survivor, then down the DS survivor, there's no reason at all a DS should apply to me, because that survivor made the choice to stay close, in a dangerous situation, and I get punished for it.

So, destroy both perks :) NOED shouldn't reward you for your bad play and inability as a killer, and it's not justified because "Wah, I play poopy Doctor so I need it." If you need NOED on any killer, you're a bad killer. I'd rather lose and analyze the reasons for it and improve than run a perk like that. Sit around, justifying it with "Just break the totems. That makes my perk fair, because you can just break all the totems"

  • I remember whenever I played Hillbilly or Nurse I would turn my sound down by about 30-40%, which is just detrimental. Lol. I mean you can sprint all around the map, so it makes sense that they might want to have it be loud so you have to stop to hear gen, especially a lower worked on gen. But at the same time I don't know if it's really necessary

Sounds have always been broken and unbroken repeatedly in this game, and I think a lot of the things you describe are like a lot of things... just bugs that happen.

  • I mean, it's kind of funny that people use these raw statistics for their arguments.

I can just as easily tell you that Nurse needs to be buffed because of her pickrate and killrate. She 100% does need a buff due to it. She simply has the lowest killrate.

Yet, people will tell me that the Nurse stats are skewed for this reason, or that reason. But guess what? The same argument doesn't work when I talk about similar variables for the other killers. It's funny how that works.

  • I don't understand your point? When anyone says there's only 3 viable killers, they're referring to when they're playing SWF squads. I am familiar with a lot of survivors at red ranks and also play with them as survivor, so I know if I play a lower tier killer I will absolutely get demolished, for example. So I will play a top tier killer against them. I can still do well outside of survivors like that, but against survivors who play survivor as well as I play killer? No chance.

I also disagree with the idea that because all killers have higher killrates than you'd expect, that means that a killer isn't unviable. Technically speaking, LF isn't a viable killer against most survivors in red ranks, but you can think of many scenarios how he would have a higher than you'd expect kill rate. Because as the devs stated, these are raw pick and kill stats, they speak nothing of the other information, and people use it to justify their opinions.

You effectively attempt to kill any sort of discussion on the things a killer can use by randomly tossing up "BUT X KILLER HAS Y KILL %!" Yeah. Go play Trapper against good survivors, or even in general, and tell me he shouldn't have 2 traps by default, or removal of his RNG traps which often cause a trap to have 0 impact. Or how Wraith in his current state shouldn't simply have a Windstorm/Swifthunt built into his kit.

Why don't I just sit here and make up random stuff from these %'s like other people have been? Hey, so, I think DS is fine because x killer has y killrate, which is high, like all of them, therefore DS isn't OP because despite DS being a meta perk run almost universally by survivors, clearly it doesn't have much of an impact on killer kill rates!

  • People need to stop comparing one perk to another and trying to justify that perks existence because "other OP thing exists"

DS existing and being OP doesn't justify NOED existing and being OP, even if 4 survivors can have it.

NOED is a crutch perk bad killers use to get kills they otherwise never would have. It is a bad perk and it should not exist, and the same can be said for other perks.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/107404/these-stats-finally-show-that-survivors-have-been-right

You are waisting your time. The stats could show that the killers have a 100% kill rate, and these idiots would still say "Killers ain't OP derpa derpa derp." On the bright side, I'm pretty sure with the BL nerf and the Oni coming it's going to edge closer to a 100% kill rate, and eventually BHVR will have to do something. Till then hide and camp the hatch, it's your best bet.

No, there's just people like you that don't understand how statistics and balance work. You see a number that isn't as close to 50% as possible and think that all killers are therefore overpowered and overperforming. That isn't the case and there are a lot of variables here.

BHVR simply decided to loosely base their balance around killers getting 2ks. That doesn't mean any killer is imbalanced or overperforming simply because their killrate is 65% or even 70%.

Again, you and the person replying to every single post in this don't quite understand balance or statistics. You just sound like a bad, bitter survivor with the idiotic things you just said relating to the Oni.

You'd be as dense as the devs would be if either would think "2 kills = balance" and took nothing else into consideration.

Making generators take longer to repair would make survivor gameplay very boring. Survivors need more objectives than generators as opposed to just increasing repair time.

I don't think something being "boring", especially when it's one of the main objectives, is a good reason not to balance the game or perks

Not to say that adding other things that reward you in whatever way would be a bad thing. But they have to be worth it or they'll simply just be ignored in favor of gens anyway.

  • Why take feedback when you can leave the rifts challenging (lol) and drive up those Rift tier sales?

I hope you guys feel like you got your battle passes $ worth.

  • I think DS and BT are both ridiculous when you begin to analyze them both - DS much moreso. Most people will generally just tell you that they have to be that way simply because killers will regularly put survivors into positions where perks like that are necessary.

The devs don't really consider how perks like this tend to be abused sometimes. A lot of the devs choices reflect good ideas based on mid to low ranks, but their choices have drastic consequences at the highest ranks.

At the end of the day, Legion's deep wounds, like Plague's broken, need a bit of a rework, because their power, in the end, amounts to always having people in the injured state but not really having much of an impact outsode if that. Everyone being in an injured state sounds like it's amazing on paper, but in reality it just means gens get pounded and your power is irrelevant because chases + time on hook before death + gen speed when everyone knows they're ignoring healing and pounding said gens = you lose

Personally, I think any perk in the game that has been "meta" for a very long time needs to be looked at, for survivors and killers.

  • I think you ought to remember that they "aim" for a 50% /2k per game for killers. It being higher does not mean the killer is overperforming at all. 50% is simply the number BHVR landed on for the most basic of balance. Apparently, people read too far into that and think that because it isn't right on or very close to that, that every kill is overperforming and it justifies what people think

In a way you could say that, the closer any specific killer is to 50%, the more weak they actually are.
