The fact that they allow one side to bully the other side at will, and the other party cannot do anything to defend themselves other than DCing and subsequently taking a DC penalty and de pip.

Killers are the only ones that can truly ruin another person's game, which is facecamping or intentionally tunnelling someone out the game in a way that does not make strategic sense, but in a way that is indicative of trying to bully someone and ruin their game.

    Also making someone bleed out.

Complain all you want but teabagging and flashlight clicking don't hinder you from playing the game as killer. Survivors teabagging at exit gates is also within your control; hit them out. Nothing they do prohibits you from playing the game and yeeting them out if you so chose.

Survivors can't do anything when being bled out, or facecamped. And I don't like that many killer players play the game to bully others often at random and for no good reason.

Facecamping and making survivors bleed out should at the very least give negative bloodpoints and multiple de pips for poor sportsmanship, which is something that's reportable. And I honestly think facecamping should flat out be reportable since it's not a strategy and you're intentionally trying to ruin someone else's game in a way that makes no sense

Some of the things you have mentioned can be annoying yes but none of them are reportable. Also I honestly think it would do you good playing killer more and get to a rank where you're going against red rank teams because once you go against your first bully squad or your entire outlook will change. I remember years ago when I first started playing I honestly thought the same as you until I started going against these types of players.

  • It will make the experienced survivors more likely to cleanse totems even if ruin isn't in play and like you said the less experienced ones will probably just complain.

Sure, I'd rather not waste time trying to get through to more brick walls on this forum anyway so you're saving both of us the hassle.

I've been playing this game since 2017 so I know how much potential each killer has and if someone thinks the twins are a decent killer well good luck to you that's all I can say.

  • I could go back and forth with you but the fact you think the twins and demo are underrated says it all really.

People say he's the third strongest killer in the game if played right. Why so against it?

The only people that would say that are people who go against him that aren't very good. To someone that plays killer or is experienced at survivor he is far from that. He's pretty much in the middle of the killer tier list not weak but certainly not top tier.

Speaking of perk combos that are effective, survivors have that in spades

The only perk combo that's considered strong I go up against is ds unbreakable and they only have it for 60 seconds after the unhook so it's easily avoidable. Other than that there aren't any. When I play If I use gen perks I go for pop and corrupt much more reliable anyway. We all coped before undying came along and we will again.

  • I miss when I first started playing the game I was so innocent and believed stuff like this. Now I'm at devotion 12 and understand how wrong I was.

  • The gen doesn't actually explode though so the killer doesn't get a notification.

  • Bubba gets buffed because he was one of the weakest killers in the game. Soon after: bubba op please nerf lol.

Any killer can camp just get the gens and get out and punish them for doing it. The only reason campers win is because people are more bothered about bp for saving.

  • I hope it's not been delayed. It's meant to be a mid chapter update so it should already be out, if it takes much longer we will be getting the new killer not long after.

that has nothing to do with balance, killers in horror movies go after you and kill you. They dont play by a survivor handbook cuz you hate losing

If you think getting infinite loading screens 90% of the time people used them and if you do get into a solo match and having your teammates out of the match as soon as they get unhooked everytime causing them to also dc whenever they see a secret offering is fun and balanced then I don't know what to tell you. There's a reason why the majority of people who main killer at a high level didn't use them unless they were going against a know sweat squad or a toxic team. But I guess you're right and there wrong. Even the biggest content creators like otz, monto, Scott jund etc all said they were unbalanced and needed to be changed.

  • Yes bring back people dcing in loading screen when they see a mori and when you do get into a match watching everyone get tunnelled and killed after first hook. Those were the days.

  • Yes bring back people dcing in the loading screen when they see a secret offering and if you do get a match watching everyone get tunnelled and killed off first hook. Ahh yes good times.

  • When I play survivor if I don't want to bring ds I bring blood pact so there is at least an obsession in the match.

  • Tunneling and gen rushing are only a problem when it's based off the experience of the players.

If a killer tunnels a less experienced survivor they can win because of it but if they do it to a more experienced survivor who's really good in chase then they can end up with either 1 or no kills.

Same with gen rushing if they do it to a less experienced killer then they have the chance to be able to get all 4 survivors to escape. However if they try it with more experienced killer who has all the perks unlocked to slow it and also prioritises getting people off gens and not chasing the survivors who are good in chase until the weaker ones are picked off then it's a lot less likely to work.

  • Deathslingers fine, I'd rather go against a god like deathslinger than a god like huntress. She has much more potential than deathslinger.

  • I loved the game but it has taken a turn in the past year. I don't stop mainly because I have spent to much money on the game I would feel like I had wasted it if I just stopped.

You can play the killer. I never said you can't. But you're getting teabagged for playing disgustingly OP killers by me at the exit gate if I survive. That's all.

Someone playing something that's in the game isn't an excuse to act like that they haven't done anything wrong playing a killer they have paid money to play.

  • Tru3talent put a video up last week were he killed someone with a key and after the key dropped the hatch spawned right next to it. He blocked the key for a little bit but then hit the survivor and they were able to pick up the key he was on and also open the hatch before he could do anything about it.

The survivors have gotten used to it and they make the totems more often, disabling NOED.

But totems are the survivors second objective and they get points for cleansing them so you can't blame them for doing it. Plus when people complain about noed the common response is to just do bones so to then not be okay with them cleansing them doesn't make sense.

  • They've already made totems harder to see and improved totem spots in newer and re worked maps.

Not tryna out ya or anything, I'm just curious is all, what makes it a bit too much? Ya always have the option to just escape, the prompt is just an additional action. Also don't ask why I'm so invested in my concept ideas, I'm on hella adderall and I like gettin my creative juices flowin, dbd makes for a good outlet considering how little the devs make changes to their game. I appreciate the feedback nonetheless, I just think it adds some flair to a normally dull search for hatch!

Yeah honestly I think it's great that you're thinking of new ideas for the game it's what we need right now. I think it's a cool idea personally and it could be used to create something different for the game I just worry that there would be killer players that would feel like they have already put the effort in to get someone out of the match for them just to be brought back, also they may feel like this is putting to much power into the survivors hand. I think it is a wicked idea though if maybe there were another restriction that they could only do it if the hatch appears and opens with 1 or 2 gens left as if all gens were done then this would be a little bit to much in that situation.

  • @Orionbash said:

    This depends.

    Did you:

    1) Shake or nod your head at me?

    2) Facecamp or tunnel?

    3) Play Freddy or Spirit (with Stridor)?

If yes to any of the above and my team survives my ass is staying at the exit to teabag you for your toxicity. Toxicity is a two-way street. If not then I leave the match peacefully.

I agree with your first 2 points but if a killer is in the game then they have the right to play them. I honestly hate going against spirit more than any other killer for obvious reasons but I don't think bad about the person playing them because they are in the game so why shouldn't they play whatever killer they want to play as.

  • They need to make struggling automatic so they aren't able to suicide. Sadly though while they have the option not to if they don't want to play then they're going to do it. I honestly think though that even if they did change this if someone really didn't want to play in the match then they would either just stand there and tab out of the game till they are hooked and killed or they would just run at the killer.

  • It's a cool idea and it's great that you're thinking of new stuff to be implemented in the game but I think this would be a bit to much personally.

Ok then, play as perkless, addonless clown for every match.

He's got a point though. As someone that played killer back then playing killer now is way easier than playing killer back in the day. No more ds on first down, no more vacuum pallets, no more old mettle of man, no more insta gen BNPs, No more fast vaults even when a survivor is stood right next to a window and even slower vaults for killer, no more infinites etc etc. All these things needed to change but it doesn't negate the fact it's way easier now because we don't have to deal with all that BS.

Don't read too much into it.

I just said "farm" on a whim. I barely use either of the three perks actually (WGLF, DH or SB) and of course I always go for safe unhooks unsafe hooks are silly and something only newbs do. They already nerfed WGLF farming so that people would stop doing it.

If you say you farm people for blood you can't expect people to think that you're trying to go out of your way to help the person on the hook.

A lot of killers do the same thing, they will GG EZ you after they get their 4K. Funny hting is sometimes they don't even get a 4K but they'll GG EZ you anyway.

Toxic people will be toxic, and there's a lot of them on both sides.

Yes I've mentioned the same thing on previous posts, however this isn't the subject of the post so I don't see how that's relevant to this conversation.

  • I agree they should either drop it to two or make it so you can get it in other ways like safe in hooks. Also if that's to much they can bring it up to 4 after it's been tried on PTB.

It does need a change though because if you really want to do it now you literally have to risk throwing the match to have a chance to.

Of the unhookers plan? I've been running WGLF without BT and always go for the body block, although usually I'll wait for the killer to be far enough away for it to be safe anyway.

I would do that to but I just mean with what the guy originally said about farming them I don't think he's to interested in doing that lol

  • Only If they added the hook counter to the original and gave you the option to pick which one you wanted to use. Otherwise no way.

  • Yeah I would say it's fair I've gone against it a lot and you still have time to get to all the boxes, besides half the time I still get it off on my first try. Besides poor lil piggy's got to have some decent add ons most of them are garbage honestly.

  • Something tells me that's not part of their plan lol.

Whoever designed DC penalty for Dead by Daylight didn't consider facts about the game.

    • The game isn't optimized for console. Not everyone is able to afford NASA PC to run this game flawlessly. My friend and I had issue with the blue screen error on PlayStation. It resulted in us being banned from queuing.
    • The game isn't balanced. Sometimes I don't feel like going against a killer with busted addons so I'm gonna DC. Same situation when I'm playing killer against SWF that communicates and they are negating my perks! Using stealth killers on open maps is pointless.
    • For some reason sometimes when killer DCs I would get penalized for no reason. This doesn't happen that often but it's still affecting me.
    • People are killing themselves on the first hook to avoid penalty. You stated DCing is harming remaining players but how is suicide on the hook isn't doing the same?

Conclusion: Your DC penalty shouldn't accumulate more than an hour. Getting people banned for 24 hours is ridiculous. Everyone DCs once in awhile but stacking banns is just wrong and you're harming matchmaking pool.

Your first point I've never heard of this on console so I can imagine if it did happen it would be on a very rare occasion so take the 5 mins to send a message to support so they can look into it and then the timer will probably be over once you have.

DCing because you don't like what you're up against deserves to be bannable because just because you don't like it doesn't mean the rest of the team has a problem with it or should be in a 3v1 because of it.

You're third issue I haven't come across this before but as you said it's very rare so if you play normally it would only be 5 min so like point 1 just send a message to support to get it looked into.

The last point suicides are annoying but they are a built in mechanic in the game until they make struggling automatic so we can't do anything about this, however if you're wanting to dc and upset with penalty's I'm not agreeing with it but you can take that option instead.

Honestly if I'm that annoyed with the game that I want to DC I'd be fine if they gave me a 12 hour ban everytime because if it's getting to me that much I don't want to try and play for the rest of the day anyway so the break would do me good.

  • Rule no1 never overestimate a bill it will always lead to death.

  • That sounds really cool, I agree should bring her terror radius up with it because Im not sure but I think her actually terror it's 16m so if that got paired with M+A that could be pretty strong with her sneaking up and launching a hatchet at a survivor.

  • I had this as survivor on haddonfield. Did most of the gens with one other survivor and we were both the ones getting chased because they could find us. Got down to 3 gens all far away from each other and I got chased for 3 min only to go down and see the other 2 sat in a corner doing nothing.

Once you have taken out the survivors doing the objectives if the remaining survivors playing aren't doing anything to try and progress the match they are taking the match hostage. The best thing you can do is take a video and send this in and report them for it with evidence.

  • Not all survivors complain about things like these just the entitled ones, just the same as the entitled killers complain about perks and play styles they go against that they personally don't like. There not all the same just the entitled minority. Most players understand the game and deal with what's thrown at them.

  • @AnnoyedAtTheGame said:

Having a totem counter in game will give such a massive negative effect on totem based perks. This would be another killer nerf again.

Most totems give a notification to the survivors anyway so it wouldn't make any difference. Also having a totem counter would make survivors more likely to cleanse to take time looking for them and cleansing them which means time away from doing gens. Also it would mean that when a killer doesn't bring any hex perks the survivors still may be more likely to cleanse all 5 dull totems in case of noed even if you haven't got it, so that's time added to your match for free. I don't understand the downside I would love that as killer.

  • A Big daddy from bioshock would be pretty cool can have they guy you played from the first game (can't remember his name) as survivor or Elizabeth from the third one.

  • I always go to the middle gen first and then do one the opposite side of the map if my teammates pop another. However I have a lot of hours in the game so I know it's the best way to avoid the dreaded 3 gen. Some survivors just aren't as experienced and don't think about the smartest option before they hop on the first gen they see. It's just one of those things that you understand the more time you have in the game.

  • Its not a musical one but it would be funny if when the first survivor gets hit by noed and you get the notification it was be followed by the sound of someone smashing their controller or keyboard 😂

  • They should just put on the loading screen "It's just a game don't take it so seriously" that would probably help.

  • @trick said:

one is banned permanently for one time fake legacy hack, and for 1 anyone that thinks thats worse than actually hacking the gameplay , i mean wow. another friend who is banned for te-bagging XD "stupid reasons" outright live stream hacking is okay tho xD

If they hacked fake legacy then they do deserve to be banned honestly and the second one nobody's been banned for teabagging so I think there may be more to that story than you're telling us. Most streamers do get banned for hacking but they usually just create a new account until they get banned on that one to, I've heard of a few this has happened to.

  • The teabaggers and the clickers want to be chased and are desperate for attention. I like to ignore because it annoys them and they usually end up following me while I'm chasing someone else which is great honestly because then I have two people off gens instead of one. If you chase them you risk throwing the match, but if you ignore them and they chase you then they risk throwing the match.

  • Now I'm intrigued as to what they did. Please share??

I know how to play around DH this isn’t a post looking for advice on it. My concern is the ability to prolong the chase. In a game where the killer is on the clock and gens go flying, it’s kinda silly to get punished as a killer because a survivor just pressed a button, even though they just made a mistake.

I'm really not sure what you were looking for by talking about it on a discussion forum then but fair enough. All I know is I rarely get outplayed by it once I've seen a survivor has it so if you are then the best I can do is tell you how I try and avoid it.

  • Yes you should totally report them for using something that's in the game and having fun with their friend, don't they know dbd isn't for fun it's a very serious game!

Seriously though the killer should have realised they were just there to meme around and left them to get the ones on the gens. Also if she's falling for the same trick multiple times she's got no one to blame but herself. Hopefully she learns from the match and knows how to handle it next time.

  • Dead hards fine, after a survivor shows you they have it in the open just wait a second before swinging so they use it and then smack them down. If they use it to for distance to get to a pallet or window sometimes you can still get the hit because half the time they do it to near and mess it up. Doesn't make chase last any longer than sprint burst or lithe in my experience, if they use it properly and if it works and they don't end up exhausted on the floor.

1 … 29 30 31 32 33 … 35
