She really doesn't take that much, of course it depends on the person but it took me about 2-3 weeks where I could call myself an actual good Nurse.
Depends how good you want to be with her, if you want to be a decent nurse then yeah but if you want to hit that god tier and be able to take down even the best survivors that's about as long as it would take.
-
Nah dbd is the only game that has ever made me change my privacy settings for receiving messages and I changed it after a week of getting the game lol. Honestly if they did this I would actually hate it and if I wasn't able to turn it off I probably would end up not playing the game because of it.
-
If whenever a survivor got camped the rest of the team just did the remaining gens and left leaving the killer with 1 kill and a de pip trust me they would stop using that strategy pretty soon after enough matches like this. However if you instantly give up on hook or if you're waiting for a chance to get the unhook just to get grabbed and slugged then all you are doing is rewarding the killer and making them more likely to continue doing the same thing in other matches as well.
-
Honestly if you want to be really good with nurse it's just practice practice practice nurse is one of the hardest killers to be well with because in order to get near to the god tier level with her you will probably need at least around 1000 hours on her.

Ok then here lets discuss this. Let me describe to you a bad matchmaking experience i had last night, I'm a rank 13 killer for reference, fairly new lots of learning left. This came on the heels of losing a few games, to mostly bad matchmaking so i threw NOED into my build played a couple more games where it didnt even come into play. Edit: just for reference my losing condition is 0 kills.
Then I run into this mess of a game 4 man swf all rank 1 and 2. Match starts i find 3 of them slamming a gen I chase them off and spend the rest of the match in a 3 vs 1 chase, while i never see the 4th person running around doing gens. Every time i get one of them injured they force me to switch off with head on stuns, pallet stuns, even just looking away to dodge a flashlight blind or body blocked in a doorway. 4 gens are done at this point because they've been healing in between switches, 1 of them leaves to slam out the last gen faster. I finally manage to get a down and get the guy on the hook, i take a look aroumd with bbq and see the 2 in the distance seconds before they pop the last gen and the close one coming in for the borrowed time save. The gen pops NOED kicks in and i down the guy coming in for the rescue, look around ive got my totem close by one on the hook one on the ground an exit gate pretty close and an empty hook pretty close. So i rush the exit gate force it open to start endgame collapse and hook the 2nd guy. I got 2 kills in a game where i worked my butt of to get them. Where after i got outplayed all match, i managed to capitalize on a single mistake and turn it around. Look at the builds post game all 3 of the loopers had head on, quick and quiet, adeenaline, and iron will. If it wasnt for NOED they would have gone for the saves came off the hook healthy and all gotten out body blocking for the 1 Injured guy.
The moral of the story is that bad matchmaking for solo q you make a case for NOED to be changed. While bad matchmaking for killer makes a case for it needing to be exactly the way it is.
The start of me commenting on this post was just a suggestion as to ideas as how it could be changed if it was to. Honestly the only time I get annoyed with noed is if I've not gone down all match and I've ended up cleansing 4 totems but still get hit with noed. As much as I think it's annoying feeling like you've only gone down all match because the killer has it I agree it's also an issue with other survivors electing to not cleanse totems as well. After talking it through with another player I actually thought the best idea would be to include a totem counter because not only would it add emphasis on the fact totems are a secondary objective for survivors it will hopefully also make them more likely to try and cleanse them and also help out solo survivors. I think if this was implemented it would work well and I don't feel like any changes would be needed for the perk.

It wasnt free, saviour already paid a health state and he still has to perform the action while the Killer is in his M1 CD so he will be able to attack again very soon since the sprint from being hit is gone and the CD is almost over once the animation finished odds are the chase is going to be very short.
Unsafe hooks where Killer hits before unhooking end up with the saviour hooked in seconds unless the Killer is very bad, very greedy, wants to tunnel the saved or is facing an extremely well coordinated SWF which are super rare.
If you're running in for an unsafe unhook when you have the option to wait and then go in for a safe one then you deserve to be punished for this as it's a terrible play. Also a killer gets a grab animation whenever they attack a survivor during any interaction whether it be doing a gen, opening a door, getting a save etc. This shouldn't be changed for hooked survivors to allow survivors to make bad plays. I'm also saying this as someone who has more hours in survivor than I do killer so even I can see that removing the grab animations on hooks is not only unfair to killers but also promotes survivors not learning how to play better and just allows them to make dumb decisions and be able to get away with it.

This once again boils the problem down to matchmaking and not NOED.
I know that contributes to it and I have stated that in previous comments but thank you for being someone else that's contributed to me realising you can't have an idea on a DISCUSSION post asking for ideas on a change without people instead of giving constructive ideas and compromises just like to tell you that your wrong and they're right 👍🏻

The problem is you don't get exhausted on the floor using it sometimes it's pretty much 50/50 as to whether it works or not.

Even with the see killer effect it's still be quite alright but yeah it'll clearly prevent double saves which can get annoying.
Agreed, also yeah seeing the killer to would be good I'm just trying to think if maybe there would be a way to still keep the actual perk kindred and maybe even rework it a bit so you only see the killer maybe but you see them from a further distance from the hook maybe.
-
I just don't understand how I can get a full dlc so a new killer and power to play with, a new survivor and 6 new perks for less than what it cost for me to get one full outfit?!
-
The most annoying thing I have to go up against is my "teammates" lol

I don't know. So many people act like they were the only ones doing anything. Reading that gets old. Most of the time they are lying. It is safe to assume you were exaggerating.
If I'm lucky I get some decent solos teamed with me otherwise if I don't make sure I'm putting in 110% to make sure everything gets done it's a guaranteed loss. But if you want to believe otherwise please feel free.

Well they created SWF. Im sure they knew that people would use Discord or something else to communicate with each other^^
Not that I dislike the idea of playing with friends. But the Devs are responsible for the flaws this system brings.
Cant jump on the "Its not the Devs fault" train here.
The devs have no power over discord, Microsoft or Sony so they can't stop people from using them. But let's say they magically find a way then what's stopping SWF from doing a group call on there phone or using group chat on messenger? what do they do then call the phone companies and Facebook and ask them to find some magical way of being able to tell when one of their users is on dbd somehow and not allow them to call each other? How do you actually expect the devs to do anything about any of this.

@Kirkylad Mute this systems in game for example,no?
It's a third party system so it's not part of their game so they physically can't do anything about it.
-
i understand going against a SWF on comms can be difficult at times but it's not the devs fault because they have no way of stopping anyone from using a third party system to talk in game.
-
A totem counter for survivors would help solos a lot and put more emphasis on them being a second objective, hopefully this could also encourage people to cleanse dull totems instead of ignoring them.

I never suggested that killers should see the difference. On the contrary there is no way if killer is facing SWF or solo till the end game screen. Or not even then. I said to give solo and SWF different lobbies cause of perk placement not the killers they are facing. For killers everything would look same. 4 survivors waiting at the camp fire.
Oh okay then I apologise I thought you meant to separate the lobbies into separate options for the killer to pick. I don't see the issue with seeing which people were in a SWF after the match, I'd like that for when I play both killer and solo survivor.

Free hit is also a punishment for unsafe unhooks.
No I'm sorry but you shouldn't be able to get a free unhook by making a bad play.
-
You can have some great games as solo but also some terrible ones. Usually it's just down to teammates doing not doing gens or all crouching near you when your hooked and just doing nothing while the killer camps. However like you do now I also don't worry about escaping and just try and concentrate on pipping so win or lose as long as I've pipped I'm happy.
-
I think because most hags play style is like you said they camp the hook with traps. Although I agree it can be a little annoying to go against sometimes I can't blame hag players for using a inbuilt tactic. Besides flashlights and crouching is a thing so it can be countered.
-

In most cases killer is able to hit unhooker before he will be able to use deadhard.
I mean it works for me. But in all honesty with cases aswell where a killer hooks a survivor and instead of waiting for the killer to leave a survivor runs in and does a unsafe unhook which does happen more often than you'd think that survivor deserves to be punished for making a bad play.
-
I mean I respect your opinion but it is coming off a little one sided. It's also able to be countered by tapping the hooked survivor so the killer hits you and then you're able to unhook, dead hard and BT work great as well for countering this. Besides if the killer is hard facecamping and you don't have BT or you don't think you'll be able to do saves just hop on gens and get the gate opened and get out of there and punish them for it. Trust me if every survivor did this and left the killers with only one kill and a depip they would soon stop trying this strategy.
-
I do agree it could use a small change to reward good gameplay. However if you are electing to leave totems to have the match end quicker then you're running that risk of that. There needs to be a totem counter so survivors understand that totems are a second objective and also help solos. I do understand the struggle of bringing detectives hunch getting 4 totems and still getting hit with noed so hopefully that would help.
-
If it's nearing the end of the match with two players left and they are both hiding and not progressing the game that is reportable because they are holding the game hostage. However if during the match one of the four survivors wants to just hide then great one less person on gens so I don't have any problem with that lol.
-
I agree, It happening every now and again I can handle but it happens regularly so it is frustrating. Just today I went against a wraith and hopped a pallet and he swung and hit me after I had got over it and even started running back around the loop. I don't mind getting outplayed and going down but when I go down when it's clear I shouldn't have is really annoying.
-
I think that there could be some changes to solos in regard to information such as being able to see other survivors when someone is on the hook etc. However as much as I understand that some SWF can be very efficient with gens and saves making it very difficult for most killers to be able to handle, separating them so killers can choose between playing solos or SWF would mean the majority just would only go against solo.

I doubt you carried the whole team. Survivors are a broken record. You all complain about the same stuff then get on the forums and demand NOED be nerfed. Do totems.
How would you know how any match I'm in goes when you're not in them. Beside when someone makes a post about changing noed I have every right to put an opinion as to how it could be changed if it was.
-
Making kindred base but just without seeing the killer and just seeing all other survivors is a good idea. Having a totem counter is a brilliant idea I've been wanting that for so long and I have no idea why that isn't a thing especially when they say totems is one of the survivors objectives.

I would not consider that a problem, at least not when talking about the Perks you mentioned. I am not running Unbreakable, but I run DS and the games were I am not able to use it are usually good games, even when I die. Because the Killer was not tunneling during those games and it is fun to go against a decent Killer who does not need to tunnel the first person out of the game ASAP.
For Ruin/Undying, I never see that Survivors dont go for Totems, you only have the luxury of ignoring the Totems when the Killer is bad, which means that he cannot force people off Gens, which results in Ruin doing nothing.
@Topic:
Well, regarding the Tombstone, this just highlights the problem if this Add On. You did the best you could to avoid it, the others were happily giving him Stalk.... Great.
Regarding Perks, the Meta Perks are usually what is expected. Like, I am surprised if a Deathslinger does not have M&A. But I think at least on the stronger Killers, you dont need Meta-Perks. And I also think that no Killer needs to stack more than 1 Slowdown-Perk.
And that you can win without Meta-Perks, good players like Otz are showing that. But it is nice if people actually acknowledge it when the other side plays well, always happy to see that.
I agree if I'm playing survivor and being ds it's the only perk I ever bring that I'm happy if I don't have to use it. But that's my point it's considered a meta perk but yet in some matches the only thing it does is take up a perk slot.
-
You do get points for recovering already. But it's a valid point that it is pretty boring to be slugged for the 4man but whether it happens or not either depends on what kind of match the killers had or how many hours they have in killer. If I'm playing killer and I've had a really sweaty match or I know the last persons toxic then I'll slug and go for the 4K but otherwise I just don't really care about the 4K anymore tbh I'll just hook the third and then do a 50/50 for who gets hatch or doors if I shut it. A 3K and a hatch escape is still a win, besides I'd rather move on to the next game and have some fun instead of dragging it out for a few more bloodpoints.
-
The problem with meta perks is a lot of them can be subjective as to if you get any use of them or not. Like if a survivor brings ds unbreakable but they go against a decent killer who's winning and doesn't have the need to tunnel then they don't get use out of ds and don't get slugged so no unbreakable either. Same for ruin undying or other hexes some matches survivors just don't go for totems and others they get them all.
-
I agree with you, however some killers can be toxic and do the same amount of complaining about things on the survivor side aswell. There's also a lot of us that aren't toxic and understand there's broken stuff on both sides that could be changed. Both sides are pretty much 50/50 between people who only play their side and complain about the other side and don't care about them and then there's people who play both sides and just laugh at some of the things they complain about and understand the difference between a valid complaint and just complaining because they don't understand how the other side works.

developers could fix this preventing premade or disable voice chat between survivors. There are a lot of ways to solve this problem but they prefere dont act
It would be impossible for the developers to stop anyone from using third party systems to talk to the people they are playing with. Plus you can't just stop people from playing with there friends because some teams play efficiently, a lot of them also just meme around and just want to have fun and don't care if they win or lose.
-
That's solo life, you either get matches with a SWF who leave you to die on first hook no matter how many gens have been done or you get other solos and you pretty much have to carry the entire team to even have a chance of escaping.
-
Sometimes you get matches like this that are really difficult, sometimes you get put against a bunch of average or less solos and it's super easy, on some rare occasions you get a match against people of equal skill and have a close match. Pressing the ready button is pretty much just crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.
-
If you Kobe you still lose progress on your bar if you get off the hook or not, so if getting yourself off the hook dropped your bar below 50% then you've technically already hit struggle phase.
-
It would be cool if survivors could have outfits of them cosplaying the killers like a Meg dressed up as a spirit would be really fun.
-
I always thought he was kind of a stalker always staring at me all the time. Like ugh either get the courage to ask me out or go bother the Meg or something.

I have to disagree, he does well on ANY map because of the TP ability. All he needs is discordance, BBQ, tinkerer or some perk that notifies you on which gen you're at and BOOM; he's there. Almost any killer does well on an indoors map but he excells in all of them, outdoors or indoors; like, just yesterday I DC'D from a match with Freddy because I was just frickin toxic and that map was Lampkin.
Prior to that I got into another match on cross pentus, that was another match I Dc'd from because he was camping the hell out of me and then when I matched to get off the hook, slugged me; got another got another survivor; we got both put on the hook; got down and I got tunneled. I then got a 15 minute DC penalty which I just waited out by watching YT. he's flipping ridiculous.
I understand your point and I agree that with certain gen perks and his ability to go straight to that gen can be oppressive. But I think In terms of just in normal chase with a survivor he still has to have some game knowledge to know how and where to chase survivors etc. A brand new player isn't going to win if they just use Freddy, however I completely agree that an average player can pick up Freddy and get wins a lot easier than with most other killers.
-
I think he still needs to have decent map and game knowledge but I have to agree for how strong of a killer he is he's far to easy to use and do well with.
-
I like a challenge so I don't want to go against easy killers and have a quick match and hardly get to do anything, but I also don't want to get steam rolled by an overpowered killer and have the same issue. I honestly would just like to go into every match and regardless of which killer/map etc be able to feel like there is a 50/50 chance whether I win or lose. If the killer is a really good player and wins great, if the survivors play really well and win that's great to, as long as neither side feels like there gunna win or lose before the match has even started
-
I really struggled with most killers when I first started out with the game until I got the clown and I started being able to catch survivors and do well. I know he is deemed one of the weaker killers and he will only get you so far unless you want to put a lot of time into him, however I think he is a really great killer for newer players to learn the basics and then move onto a more complex killer.

Fair point, and if you felt like I was challenging your right to have your say, you have my apology. I do think NOED is fine as it is, but only because I think Survivors should be able to learn, slow but sure, what is in their own best interest and make choices. I think agency is important for Survivors and Killers. The compromise I suggest is a good one, but it removes agency to a large degree. It makes it absolutely clear that they better do the Totems, i.e. it isn't a choice or a gamble, it is almost a necessity and punishes those who are lazy extra.
If NOED were to be changed, I'd suggest this because I think the Perk (and those like it) serve an important purpose, i.e. to get people to work on Bones as an objective. But overall, I think it would be better that Survivors just learn over time that it is in their own best interest to do them without being so heavy handed. In general, most Survivors do learn this lesson, and your teammates do get better. I rarely find NOED bites me anymore when I play Survivor because even if enough Totems survive to the end, someone kills the lit one. I think that is a good testament to trusting Players to learn on their own.
I agree. It can be frustrating when your team mates can abandon the second objective of not cleansing totems. You are right that they should learn to not walk past a dull totem and even if they don't have a map or perk to help them should learn where the totem spawns are and just have a quick check of that area if they go there during the match and cleanse one if they find it in that spot. A lot of the time if I bring a map or perk for totems it's when a new map comes out or they change an old one so I can familiarise myself with the spawns and then just check those areas in future matches.

Sure you do, and I have every right (an obligation even) to challenge what you submit if I think it is wrong. This is a Forum, and the moment we post, our words can and will be challenged by others. That is part of the value. For the record, and I think I said this before, I would change NOED as follows:
- It activates just like it does now.
- The only Survivors who are Exposed are those that didn't do a single Totem up to that point.
- The gate handles are locked down and cannot be thrown for 60 seconds or until the now Lit NOED is found and cleansed.
I think this method would punish the Survivors who didn't do their share of Totems more, and still affect the entire Team and make sure they kill all the Totems. Totems are objectives and were always intended to take some heat off the Gen-Rush. I think making that even MORE clear would motivate your Teammates to do their job. You see, I can offer suggestions for tweaks too, but that doesn't mean I think NOED needs a change, only that the game might benefit from one.
If you had brought that opinion up at the beginning then I would have agreed with you and even thought that could be a good compromise, I think that's a great idea actually. But to tell someone it's fine and they are wrong and this is why makes the point of having a discussion redundant. I mean if Noed never changed then it is what it is and accept it and I'll try and deal with it the best way possible. I just wanted to give an opinion on how I would change it if it was going to be changed.
-
I'm not one for tunnelling, camping or slugging but there are some matches where you don't have a choice and have to pull out the big guns. Just make sure to still be smart about what action to take and when to take it.

No, the point is you and I disagree on whether it is broken or not. I think it is fine. Sometimes I make suggestions about tweaking it to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR to Survivors that they are supposed to do Bones. I suspect I watch all the same content producers you do, perhaps more. You should be careful making blanket statements. Do you really want me to to start posting clips proving you wrong? I'm going to cut you some slack because you clearly aren't taking a look at this issue in an unbiased way. You have been stung by NOED and instead of asking yourself, "what can I do better to overcome this obstacle" you start saying "THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED." Do you see the difference between you and I? Some people rise to challenges, and some people just like to complain.
I've not made my mind up about you yet, because everyone feels a bit stung the first couple of times NOED cuts them down. I have faith you can rise the challenge and find ways to get around it. My point, which you ignored or avoided answering multiple times is:
- You claim to kill Bones all the time, getting up to 4 all by yourself.
- You state you think it is unfair that your teammates don't help so NOED gets you.
- Where are you threads or posts talking about bad teammates and trying to educate them?
- There are only five Totems on the map. If you get up to four yourself, that means only one other Survivor has to kill one, right?
Do you see why I have no sympathy for your cause? It is misguided. It is biased. It is entitled and self-involved. It seems to me that the more effective way to deal with your problem would be to focus on getting the word out to other Survivors that each one should cleanse at least one, probably the first, Totem they see. Four survivors means only one Totem is left, and if someone like you can do four in a match, then the problem is GONE. There are countless Perks and Gear that help you find Totems. Why do you think that is? Why would the DEV make NOED a common Perk, provide you with Perks to hunt them, and maps to find them, if they didn't want you guys spending at least 16 seconds each killing one. Think hard.
Someone's made a post on a discussion on why they think noed should be changed and I have given my opinion on how it should be changed if it was. If you then want to challenge that by saying that you're right and I am wrong then what's the point of even having a discussion forum. I understand it can be countered and I have a lot of experience in this game to know how to do so but if I want to give my opinion on how I feel it could be changed to reward the players who play well then I have every right to do so.

Go back through my 2K+ posts and see if you can find any where I comment on DS (or any Perk) saying it isn't fair. :) I tell Killers who complain about Survivor Perks the same thing I'm telling you. If you don't like the game, there are plenty of others out there. Whining about things here is an unattractive trait. Screaming about how unfair things are is what a six year old does. We adapt; we move on. I play against the same things you do, both as Killer and Survivor, and I manage to get by.
The point is there are broken things on each side the both need changing. Most people who produce content on the game or are experienced in the game knows this so if you don't that's your problem.

Then start posting about Teammates NOT DOING THEIR share. It clearly isn't NOED being the problem. Bad teammates are going to be an issue whether NOED is in the game or not. :) And if you don't like being part of that 4v1, just play Killer or find a game where you don't have to rely on anyone; there are plenty of them out there. We all face NOED. Plenty of us are able to function just fine and still get out, win even. If I can play Solo and weather the trials and tribulations of NOED, so can you.
If you're not able to hook all 4 survivors that match at least once then you don't deserve to get a free win because of a perk and you deserve to lose that match . But hey your right I should just jump into a match with a 4 man SWF so I don't have to worry about it, obviously no one has a problem with 4 mans right 🙄
