  • I honestly haven't noticed much of difference with how many I see to be honest. The only difference now is when one shows up at the loading screen someone doesn't dc then and cancel the match, so that's always nice lol.

Yes. This is a 4v1 game. If the rest of your team didn't pull their weight, start posting and complaining about that. NOED isn't the problem then, it is clearly Survivors CHOOSING not to do NOED. 4v1 is a TEAM effort and hopefully more people will stop ignoring Totems which are an objective in the game. Choosing to ignore them is the SAME gamble the Killer makes when he/she chooses to put them in, i.e. high risk and potentially high reward. So lets say YOU and your team ignore the entirely. You don't do a single one, even though you normally do 2-4 by yourself. You focus entirely on Generators. You burn through them and at the end of the game, HIGH REWARD you all get out and see there were no Totems of importance. Good on you. But the opposite is the gamble. The Killer built for End Game, and all the sudden you all pay a high price.

This is no different for the Killer. They gamble they will get a return on those things, that you won't find (or simply ignore) his/her Totems. They play the match Perks down hoping some of these will pay off late game. Do you see where I'm going with this. So, YES... it is fair. Do Bones.

No it's not fair at all that if I'm carrying the whole team and doing everything just to get punished for it at the end. I play killer as well and I never use it because it's a cheap perk IMO. But it's like I said most survivors don't care if they get hit by noed at the end but that killers played well all match, the only time it's a problem is when they've played poorly and then they are being rewarded for it at the end of the match by getting kills because of a perk.

  • Just type: Gg wp :). That upsets them more than anything else because they are looking to bait you but your not biting and that's annoying to them. Some people only play this game to upset and provoke other players so just brush it off and don't give them what they want.

  • I'll play as normal and if you get hooked I'll still save you if it's safe and collect my points from you. But I'm not sticking my neck out on the line for you so if you get camped, tunnelled or running to an open exit and needing someone to bodyblock don't look to me to help because you're on your own.

  • I usually all ways do, however you can have days as solo survivor where you end up doing that in a few matches and then everyone else leaves when you get hooked. So sometimes people can just have bad days being left themselves and that carries on Into other matches because they feel like people aren't coming to save me so why am I putting myself on the line for someone else.

  • If I've been left with a three gens strat and a hooked survivor in one area then I wouldn't have even chased anyone outside of that area. All your objectives are in one place why would you leave? Only someone who only plays survivor and isn't that experienced in the game would expect you to leave.

NOED is just a punisher for survivors that were sitting on gens whole time and didn't do bones, if you can avoid killer hitting you, consider it as - NOED isn't a problem. There's lot of perks that let u counter totems, one of them is detective's hunch, either run it or don't complain about getting NOED-ed.

I run it all the time solo. But there's still times when I'll cleanse 4 totems do more gens and hooks saves than the rest of my team and end up in the longest chases with the killer and still get hit with Noed at the end even without getting caught through the entire match. Is that still fair?

This mentality that you're not going to do something because you are above it is gross. Thanks for peeing in the pool.

He does have a point though. I can put up with Freddy for the most part but whenever I go against spirit you're pretty much guaranteed a bad game. Either people just dc or run at her and give up or you do play against her just to get hit at a loop because you have no visual or audio signs that she's using her power like every other killer in the game. Or you guess she is using her power just to slow vault over the pallet and get caught out by her 200iq mind game of standing still. Now that's some fun gameplay.

  • BT is fine as it is and easily countered unless they are next to an open gate. Either go for the unhooker, wait out the timer or wait and grab them over a window or pallet. You'd be surprised how many survivors don't realise BT doesn't work on grabs.

  • He just needs to have one of his bags base kit to be able to carry more traps and not have the rest of his traps spread out in different corners of the map.

  • @Jholla31 said:

Also, I was only playing Bubba for a daily, not even to sweat or be memey or with the intention of facecamping.

I don't blame you tbh, I don't normally go for those kind of plays but under those circumstances you've gotta do what you've gotta do man.

  • A break can be the best thing with this game, but sometimes you come back just to realise it wasn't quite long enough lol.

  • Sadly it be like that sometimes, you'll probably end up against some uncoordinated solos next match. Just the luck of the draw tbh.

Well I can sympathize because I’ve tried to get friends into this game before and run into the exact same problem. DBD has a somewhat steep learning curve.

I just got out of a match exactly like it too. I gen grabbed a survivor with Leatherface (no stealth perks) and I’m thinking “this guy must be drunk” and then get to the endgame screen and he was rank 18 with 1 perk. When I’m at rank 1 and running like Ultra rare addons with a full build.

Yeah I hate that to many times have I gone against red rank SWF with a meme build and had a really tough match because of it just to put on some double iri add ons and a meta build after just to end up destroying the next group who all turned out to be yellow rank solo players. I just end up feeling bad.

  • @SilentPill said:

Yeah I don’t get why you would bleed the survivors out anyways. Just hook them and move onto the next game, I’ll BM them as they die if they were annoying.

And I do feel kinda bad when I get a SWF that’s like 1-2 red rank survivors and their rank 16 friends who have 2 perks on Dwight or something and I’m using some of the strongest available killer builds.

Making red rank survivors kill themselves on hook is funny to me but when it’s babies I usually feel like they might just stop playing the game.

Exactly we were all new once. Plus I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to take the opportunity to have a chill match and not have to deal with higher rank SWF and be able to relax and get a load of bloodpoints and give everyone a chance to enjoy the game instead of just slugging and hopefully managing to safety pip at most.

  • You could certainly try but sadly as we know from solo life there's just no hope for some people. After all poor blendette can't be expected to leave her bush she doesn't fair well in the wild.

The only thing you can do going into a match as a solo is just hope for the best tbh but better together myn't be worth a shot.

  • Thank you for taking a stand I've never heard someone talk about such a thing on this forum before.

Never said you had to. I said half of what I previously said was a joke. Implying baby survivors shouldn't get slugged or matched with anyone not a brown rank. I agree if you play normally everything's fine which is basically what I stated above. Trial by fire, don't give them a super easy game because they're new, play normally and have fun.

If I play Apex and see a squad of people running around not doing much I'm sniping them. I'm not letting them off the hook just because they're new. That's stupid and makes little sense. Same thing here. Just because the matchmaking gave me as a killer baby survivors does not mean I will just farm and let them go. That's boring and their MMR goes up. I won't tunnel/camp/slug because there's no reason to. Any killer rank 12 and above will have no problem facing baby brown ranks.

Further more it doesn't matter if I get babies and slug them all. As the devs have stated oh so many times killers are within every right to down them all until they bleed out if they so choose. It is a valid strategy that's not going anywhere. So if a killer gets babies and slugs them there's nothing wrong with it at all. Does it suck for the survivors? Absolutely it does. But until the Devs change the rules around slugging nothing can be done. If a killer wants to slug nothing can be said about it because that's how the game works.

There's nothing wrong with tunnelling, camping or slugging when its needed and its a valid strat, but when you're going up against brand new players who you'd clearly beat either way whether it's how the game works or not it's still a crappy move.

Half of what I said was a joke. However I am a firm believer in a "Trial by fire" type. If you're new to a game and keep dying you either get better or refund it/never play again. I do agree however that no brown rank should ever get matched with Yellow and above. If Brown gets with a red rank the games just broken at that point.

You know as a rank 9 killer the huge difference between survivors your own rank and rank 20's. So you could have played normally and won easily, collected a load of blood points and let them have a chance at trying to play the game. But let's be honest to instead go out of your way to make the match suck for new players is a pretty crappy move.

  • You should be able to either refund or exchange them. So if you have loads of brown medkits for example you could exchange two for a yellow and then two yellows for a purple etc.

  • They were always going to be sold in the store just be glad that you got multiple skins for less than the price of one.

  • If someones being face camped and you don't have BT just do gens.

  • @Grimm120 said:

Yes, they're very cute. Which is why they stay on the ground. Cute little baby slugs <3

Well that's gunna make the newbies wanna keep playing the game lol. It's almost like when new killers get upset when they get matched with higher rank survivors that bm them throughout the match making them not want to try and play killer anymore. We were all new once remember.

  • Noed should just collect 1-4 tokens throughout the match so if you hook a survivor you get a token and you are able to instadown that survivor after the gens are done. This would reward the players that have played well but just had one of those matches where gens have been going fast and also punish players who have played badly.

Lets be honest most survivors only get upset about noed when they have been able to outplay the killer all match just to get hit with noed right at the end. I know if I've gone against a decent killer who's been good in chases and played well but they have been on one of the big maps or haddonfield especially and gens have just gone fast that match I just take it on the chin and accept it.

  • It is really annoying as survivor getting farmed off the hook in front of the killer, especially when the unhooker doesn't have BT. However if the killer then tunnels me for an easy down after that as annoying as it may be I honestly don't blame them if the other person is going to throw the match and give them an easy game why not take the opportunity. As much as I appreciate it when the killer understands what they are up to and either just downs me for pressure and leaves me or just goes for the other person, in that situation I don't expect it.

  • Bunny Feng 😳😳

  • If people are saying negative and rude stuff to you after a match just remember they are looking to bait you because they want you to be mad about it. I mean there are even content creators I've seen on YouTube that make videos where they go out of there way to make the match suck for the other side just so they can get them to talk crap after the match and then laugh at them getting upset about it when they've spent the entire match baiting them into doing so. Best thing to do is say gg wp no matter what kind of match you had and move on because that annoys them much more as they haven't got the response they wanted.

  • The problem with people changing their screens in anyway is it's all done through third party systems so there is no way for them to tell or do anything about it. It's the same thing as when people say SWF shouldn't use comms to talk to each other but they are chatting via a third party system so they can't stop anyone from doing it even if they wanted to.

  • Problem with them is because they aren't that good is either people not so great at the game just use them to camp or people who are know her only real strength would be to slug with victor which means both cases end up being pretty boring matches or both sides. Some people try and use her as a normal killer but they usually lose.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/221007/some-survivors-complain-about-literally-everything

When I work hard to survive a game, successfully evade the killer many times, repair multiple gens while my team does ######### all, only for me to die to NOED while everyone else escapes, yeah, I'm gonna complain. I'm gonna complain HARD.

Yeah solo survivor is painful sometime. I just use detectives hunch and try my best to get as many totems as I can and hope for the best. It's just impossible as you know if you have the killers attention most of the match and can only get chance to get a couple of totems so you just have to keep fingers crossed they got some which can sometimes happen or that the killer doesn't have noed.

  • like most I'm just annoyed with being hit and exhausted on the floor after using it. Now I just 99 my sprint burst which is better in most cases.

  • You can tell when people only play survivor if they complain about stuff like this.

  • Both sides do this. I put a lot of the blame on streamers tbh. A lot of them spend the majority of their time either complaining or straight up bad mouthing the other players in the game. I've had to stop watching certain people as well in all honesty because on top of that it's annoying as hell hearing them make up excuses when they either get hit or miss a hit as killer. Listening to them go on about oh that happened because of lag, frame drops, other player hacking, some bug no ones ever heard of until they say it, broken hit boxes etc when actually no you just made a mistake or the other player out played you just accept it you're not some dbd god we all make mistakes. Btw I know some of these issues do exist but when you're watching the stream and can see these things not happening and it's literally one of these reasons every time they make a mistake it's not happening every single time.

  • This first part of the survey was good asked a lot of good questions about thoughts on game changes and improvements etc. The second part was a lot of irrelevant and kinda redundant questions like how often do you play the game with the sound on??? I mean come on lol. Then the last part was just marketing for new cosmetics and merchandise lol so other than the first bit the rest was not really what needed to be on the radar right now lol.

  • We all know this don't worry he's just answering what his personal annoyance is like the OP asked.

  • Im a big fan of the alien films but I just can't see it fitting into the game tbh. I can understand licensed killers like Myers, Freddy, gf, even pyramid head to a point but Alien is on another level I mean one of those things could wreak havoc against trained soldiers and destroy entire space stations I just can't see it getting stunned by a dweet throwing down a pallet on its head lol but hey maybe that's just me and it could be great in the game. Just have to see what the future holds.

  • Loading into a match and watching a survivor immediately crouch walking to a gen 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • Go to the middle gens while avoiding the killer then once they pass get the hardest ones done first and minimise the risk of getting 3 gens left in one area. Don't just jump on the first gen you see on the side of the map the killers most likely to spawn opposite to there so will probably be making his way to that area first so chances are you will be pushed off it soon anyway. You want the last three gens as spread out as possible so middle ones first then take it from there.

I've been playing for more than 2 years, have had killer at rank 1 consistently for months. I don't anymore because I'm burning out due to archives and other crap like what's going on with the gens and heal speeds. If you can't see that the game is stupid right now, then you don't know what you're talking about.

Really it's worse now than when toolboxes could complete multiple gens, there was no penalty for multiple survivors stacking on gens, brand new parts instantly completed a gen plus all the other broken mechanics that extended every chase from pallet vacuums, insta blinds and much more?. Come on now sometimes it can be a struggle keeping up with a decent SWF team on gens but it's still better now than it ever was before.

  • I have had some awful teammates before who farm you, leave you on hook, sit in a corner or locker all match and just generally are pretty much useless. I've also had killers tunnel me to death when gens are already at a stand still or camp me when no gens are done. But I have never and will never send a message or try in anyway to contact them because I am upset or annoyed at how they've played the game because who am I to tell anyone else how to play a game they have paid for especially when they aren't breaking any rules by playing that way. I don't have to like how someone has played in a match but there is absolutely no reason for me to harass someone about it. It's a an online video game so sometimes you're gunna have to deal with things you don't like and if it upsets you that much then maybe you should stick to playing offline games until you realise how to play with others.

  • Depends which role you are playing. Playing killer past yellow ranks your likely to get red ranks most games anyway so it honestly doesn't make much difference. Playing survivor the killer is usually harder to beat unless matchmaking screws them over but generally teammates are usually better you do get some potatoes but less than at low ranks. Besides I've had a break from the game before and come back after rank reset at yellow ranks and honestly watching a meg urban evade around the sides of the map when the killer is no where near them or seeing a Dwight waste god pallet after he got hit on the opposite end of the shack is honestly hurts my soul 😂

  • I hate going against spirit mainly because in chase she has no audio or visual signs of using her power like every other killer in the game. However even I think that's way to far, I mean her power is dependant on being able to hear survivors because they are invisible when she uses it, making them have no sound as well makes her power completely useless.

  • Me to so I don't click on them, problem solved 👍🏻

  • Don't take the bait!

  • @BlooperReel said:

I asked this same question and the response I got was:

"They can't tell the difference between intentional and unintentional DCs. Honestly if someone with bad internet is playing, it's on them for not knowing better"

So, I guess either they don't know how to make a proper DC system or they just don't care

Because if they did only banned people for pressing leave match then there are people out there that would simply switch their WiFi router off and on to leave the match instead and not get a dc penalty.

  • Agree completely. I also don't like the fact you can load onto certain maps and think hey this is going to be an easy one and others oh god well I'll just try my best and see what happens.

  • The game isn't survivor sided it's SWF sided things like that only become a real issue when facing SWF so if they changed it to help killers most solos wouldn't stand a chance.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

With the lower fps, poor optimization, frame drops, and suboptimal controls, yeah, it's true.

I'm on PS4 Pro and every time Bloodlust tiers up I lose enough frames that any attempted hit misses and sometimes the survivor outright disappears.

I don't have any of these issues on PS4 my frames are great. Maybe your internet isn't that great or it's being used on different devices when your playing causing it not to run optimally. Maybe the players are just more experienced causing them to be able to spin you, I don't get spun very often but when I do I just understand that they likely have more hours and experience than me after all there's always players out there better than how I or anyone else plays.

  • Imo they should only give you one chance to escape the hook and increase the % that you can escape then not make you have to button mash to struggle. If not though then you can't ban people for doing something that's built into the game either remove it or deal with the fact people are going to use it to leave a match if they want to.
