Five matches as killer last night doing my dailies and four of them ended with my game crashing.

Even for Premonition the cake is a lie.
It doesn't work against Myers T1 stalk.
And that's going to change come PTB going live. Prem and Spine Chill work on him now on it.
-
Undetectable works on all aura based perks and items. So the only thing that'll work will be Spine Chill and Premonition.
-
Honestly I find him very "meh." It's not terrible by any means but it's not what I really enjoy for a killer.
-
Dying Light and Thanatophobia are like the go to one-two punch currently for Plague. The healing speed bonus the Obsession gets is pointless as they can't heal broken people and since everyone is broken, they can't heal without giving you a ranged attack to counter.
Whispers is always decent, especially if you're on maps where survivors can easily hide.
I'm also a fan of Remember Me si that way you're at least getting something when you eventually have to hook your obsession while other people are still up.
In short, slow the game down at every stage, "just a little bit." ^_^
-
TOO REAL! OH GOD IT HURTS SO BAD!!
-
Honestly? Play Trapper. Shuts that infinite down really easy. Bring the purple and yellow bag offerings and commit those traps to the Myers house. Yes they can disable the one outside the left hand 2nd story drop window, but they are at the mercy of the two porch roof window vaults and are unable to disarm those without stepping in them.
As for other killers, I genuinely don't know.

4th theory. Did you camper/tunneler so much?
Why no, in fact I do not.
Allow me to describe for you my first killer match of the event and how each subsequent match has gone thus far.
-Playing Spirit-
Survivor 1: gets hit, and vaults through a window. I stand next to the window and wait, they vault back through, I hit them again, they DC.
Survivor 2: gets hit, and drops a pallet. I stand next to the pallet and wait, they vault over it, I hit them again, they DC.
Both dc's occured within less than three minutes of the match starting. I was not using Prayer Beads. Just literally stood there and out-mindgamed them.
Every match thus far, for me, has had something to the accord of that go on. Survivors who just instantly dc because HEAVEN FORBID the Killer does their job and give the Survivors a good smacking.
-
I use it in my "You Need to Survive Your Teammates, Not Necessarily the Killer" build and I've managed to make some good use of it. To note though, much like with D-strike, a successful Head On is going to get you focused, hard lol.

Would be strange to quit over something that is easily avoided and essentially opt-in.
You could just play with friends at your rank, solo or ask your rank 1 buddy to play on an alt.
Yes... because I want to shell out $20 more plus DLC all over to play with my friends that just started...
I'm not looking to take on low ranked people as a high rank. I understand the concept behind this.
My issue is that the bug itself seems to have been seemingly been ignored (interpretation not potentially the actual decision) and rather than fix the issue, we are now forced to deal with the exact opposite extreme of what the bug was issuing before making it seem to be the players-of-the-game's fault and not the bug itself.

Let's think about this rationally.
Two matches, one before the change and one after.
Before, you could have 2 red rank, a yellow rank, and a brown rank against a brown rank killer. The red ranks loop the brown rank for all eternity, and the brown and yellow do gens.
Makes for a pretty boring match for all but the red who distracts.
Now, post change. 3 reds and a yellow against a red ranked killer.
4/5 people in the match have a great time. The yellow gets to hone their skills, and at least isn't too bored.
That's fair and all but the underlying issue of most recent was the bug that allowed purple and red ranks grouped up to get a brown rank. How is forcing the brown rank that is now grouped up with the red rank buddy to see if they like the game to take on a red ranked killer fair?

If fewer people use a certain killer, does that make the killer less fun to play for those who do use him/her/it?
In other words: this poll will show the most played killers which doesn't directly translate to whether a killer is fun to play or needs changes.
Not necessarily the "fun" factor I would say but moreso the "viability" factor. People tend to lean more towards killers that both A:) net them more kills and B:) are closer to their preferred playstyle.
-
From most used to least used.
1:) Pig
2:) Doctor
3:) Wraith/Trapper
4:) Plague/Hag
-
A patch or two after Clown was released I had two Survivors remaining on Wretched Shop and were about half-a-map ahead of me running to an open exit.
Threw some long bomb bottles that would've made Tom Brady proud and caught up to them. Can't remember if I got both but I did at least get one of them.
One hell of a chase and catch-up I'll tell you ^_^
-
THANKFULLY he, Pig, Wraith, and potentially Insidious users will be getting the "Undetectable" status while they're in their assorted Stealth Modes.
Still trying to figure out why the HELL this wasn't done with Demogorgon all at once, but it might somehow be a little bit trickier to do so all at once with the new killer without breaking all three. I just hope we get this BEFORE the next mid-chapter patch..
-
Having the same issue.
-
That's all fine and dandy, but wouldn't Speed Limiter Billy's and Bubba's saws allowing Exposed to work be considered a bug too? Because when last I knew, both of those were still a thing and both are identical to Pig Ambush.
-
...thank you....
-
it was SUPPOSED to be all of them. Kinda B.S. it's not... Pig, Wraith, Ghostface, Demogorgon, E1 Myers, and potentially Insidious.
-
-
Oh god you're going to make me DIG through his Discord, aren't you? Gonna be a while. His DbD section is VERY active and it was when it was announced that Unaware and Undetectable were going to be things.

about time they nerfed her, god pig was everywhere on red ranks due to hope op she was, she can make any swf team perish in an instant, i can't believe it took them a year to finally acknowledge how op she was!!!111! >:((((
0_o tell me your text is being sarcastic because no... No she's not....

Oh boy please let stealth killers be undetectable. OoO has been overpowered long enough.
According to MClean they are SUPPOSED to this Chapter.
Ghostface, Pig, Wraith, Demo, and E1 Myers.

She is not Undetectable currently because she can still be revealed by aura reading perks. Currently only the Demogorgon has Undetectable according to the patch notes.
Also, DEEEEEEEEEEEEVS *shakes fist*
Oh... apparently I missed that...
Ok...

next you know they'll make the reverse bear trap trigger the deep wound status effect when the time expires instead of an instant death
don't tempt them....

She moves at Nurse walking speed when Crouched. YES she is now Undetectable when Crouched, but if you're crouching EVERYWHERE, you're screwed. That and it's REALLY easy to dodge the Ambush as a survivor. The last 3-4 major content patches have had Pig nerfs buried deep within notes. While it's paranoia to believe that someone at BHVR doesn't like her, this regularly and consistent nerfing really kinda feels like it.
Will Undetectable work to compensate for NO On-Hit effects working with Ambush anymore (see my previous posts on the subject)? Potentially. But I doubt it.
-
WAKE UP!
-
Basically Premonition, Spine Chill, Alert, Object of Obsession, etcetera will not work against any killer with an active undetectable aura about them. To include crouched Pig, cloaked Wraith, stealthed Ghostface, recently burrowed Demogorgon, E1 Myers, and potentially Insidious users. If it causes the black squiggly lines on the sides of your screen that hamper your vision, you're Undetectable.
-
Used to take it easy on survivors that had a DC. Now that it happens all the goddamn time I don't bother.
-
The top part of the add-ons stack. The bottom bits, if they are the same, do not.
-
Depends on what it is.
Racial/homophobic/ etcetera slur? I report and thank them for the free ban.
Complaining about gameplay? Inquire what situation they were referring and see if there was something "I" saw that they could have done differently.
General toxicity? Depends of the quality and the amount of dickishness behind it. Absolute dick, gg and next game. Obviously in comedic taste, attempt to play along. Absolutely PATHETIC attempt, openly critique their feeble attempts to mock me complete with grammar corrections and actual things to mock that are witty. Looking at you person whose most scathing thing they could come up with was "Khroal the Dumbass Bomber." I'm in mortal agony at how potent that blow you struck me with truly was...
-
My very first streamer match I didn't realize who I was going against at the time. It was quite literally, "WELCOME TO RED RANKS #########!" As the randomizer pitted me against a random guy, Zubatlel, Grimmiemore and OhTofu.
I was using my meme anti-healing Clown build.
Suffice to say I got shellacked.
Since then I've faced off against Tofu and Zubat quite a few times with mixed results.
Let's see... Cahlaflour is always cool. Gotten her a few times. My first match against her was on her birthday and she was doing a SWF as "The Birthday Girl." I was her party Clown and danced for her.
Took on ANOTHER female DbD streamer who I won't name but caused a bit of a ruckus a couple months ago. This person accused me of stream-sniping when I was playing Pig on Leiry's with Amanda's Letter.
Also faced Yoonz a few times as well. Pretty chill guy albeit somewhat biased on his idea of Killers running Ruin means they "have a small"... you know.. but in turn runs Adrenaline on all his survivor builds.
-
Pig is getting the Undetectable buff come next chapter when crouched. No perks will sense her or be able to see her aura. Wraith when cloaked, and Ghostface when stealthed are getting the same. Essentially they're all getting the E1 Myers treatment.
As a person who was pissed about the change to Ambush I would say that that was an acceptable nerf to compensate for this coming buff. I just wish they had ACTUALLY done it at the same time and not been so mum's the word about it.
Honestly, Legion and Leatherface are the worst off killers as, once the maps swap to the pallet arrangements of Badham, Doctor (who is another not so well off killer) along with Clown will see a lot better play at loops.
-
More or less it's a perk for solo survivors to survive their teammates' mistakes. Meant to add that to the above post but forgot.
-
I mean it HAS potential. I've died on hook from struggle just as someone reached me MULTIPLE times. This perk WOULD prevent that. So it does have a purpose, albeit not terrific.

The worst patch they ever put live..... The TR was busted, chase music would start out of nowhere and the killer would not be near you, flashlights took no skill to use, yeah... players are still suffering from it lol
Oh you remember being flashlighted through the back of your head too then?
-
I play by the same rules when I get that one survivor that I SWEAR I'm not tunneling but somehow always finds their way in front of me. Let them go once, maybe twice, and then after that any additional time is an introduction to the ground.

I MEAN to be PERFECTLY honest, I'm probably not either lol.
-
Ahh the Howling Grounds... Yep I remember that pain... It also applied to pallet stuns too that is to say if you managed to pallet stun the nurse they would need to go through the full pallet stun animation and THEN do the Nurse fatigue animation. You don't even WANT to know what happened with hits through pallet stuns...

It's not the same they are classified as a single killer since they have the same power and perks
T'was a joke sir ^_^
-
Oh sweet merciful lord let the matchmaking have mercy on their little newby Rank 20 souls...
-
I mean if you want to get TECHNICAL, Legion is TECHNICALLY four killers in one.
-
Once again I am not shifting the narrative to "Survivors versus Killers." If you read beyond simply my first post (I assume a feat not going on since people strictly seem to quote my FIRST post and not the others), you'll see I am making a request for universal accountability for abuse of mechanics that is transparent and that the broken thing being quickly disabled until such a time that it is fixed.
While I will admit my first post was a tad snarky, it points out the very real situation differences presented between BOTH scenarios. Legion players were threatened with bans and thus NO ONE was banned because few if any people used it. No such threats were made to survivors who were abusing Sprint Burst, Wake Up, and now apparently Dead Hard, and such things were being abused regularly. Hell even a popular survivor streamer I took on as killer when watching his VoD admitted on stream that he was regularly abusing the Sprint Burst bug to get between generators faster. No fear or repercussions from that.
-
@gantes said:
Let's compare a bug that makes survivors eventually M1 for literal minutes to... anything else. Sure. That makes yall look really serious, unbiased and reasonable.
I'n quite reasonable, but you don't really seem to be adding to the conversation beyond complaints about our complaints. If you seemingly have a better way of going about it, how might you suggest it be done better?
Also, in regards to the Legion bug, it is no different then Survivors LITERALLY being able to Sprint Burst non-stop, apparently do the same with Dead Hard, or make it so that EVERYTHING a Survivor does is 15% faster.
I'm just asking for either universal banning or disabling of broken things. I don't see how that is unbiased. To state that you don't WANT universal actions taken honestly seems the more biased route to take ^_^

This is not a "Killers vs. Survivors" post. Please don't turn it into one.
Not my intention to. Merely pointing out the differences and inconsistencies in how the situations are being handled. Killers get told "Do this and be banned" whereas Survivors don't even get alerted to the bug nor do they get the same sort of response from the devs.
I'm just wanting a universal scenario for this sort of thing. Such as if a perk, add-on, killer, survivor, map, etcetera become an issue that the devs force a patch on us, temporarily disabling the broken thing until it can be fixed so that it doesn't CONSTANTLY get exploited.
They've shown their ability to DO this with the issues on the Ski Resort map and the Asylum map. Both were disabled until issues with them could be fixed. The fact that they DON'T seem to still do this currently boggles my mind.
-
The majority of my 4ks as Legion prior to the change was via using the knife add-ons. Not for malicious intent either. Just to maximize my chances of finding people. Can't assume people MEANT to use the Legion bug initially either.
The KEY difference though is that the devs went out of their way to bring the Legion bug up to public attention whereas with Wake Up, Sprint Burst, Dead Hard, etcetera, despite in many ways being just as game breaking, was swept under the rug and hardly mentioned at all, nor were ANY of the users of that perk told about the bugs as they were with Legion.
I couldn't go a single match during the Wake Up bug without at least two people using that in addition to Prove Thy Self. Could not touch those teams. Dead silence from the devs.
-
DbD Devs: "We don't pick sides in DbD and remain impartial."
To Killer Mains: "The use of knife add-ons on Legion to give an infinite Mend is bannable, don't use it."
To Survivor Mains: "We recognize that Wake Up gives it's bonus to everything, people can infinite Sprint Burst, and that people can spam Dead Hard despite being Exhausted for the two latter perks. Don't worry, we're working on a fix!"
Yep... 100% impartial...
-
@gantes said:
what rank are you?
between 5-3 depending on coffee and after-work tiredness.
-
...because survivors who do crap like that are generally idiots that think they can get away with stuff like that regularly and I see it all the goddamn time?
Irregardless of meme or not, it's still slightly broken that it CAN happen and can keep a killer from responding to situations for the full duration. Such as say the third remaining survivor coming in for the uninterrupted time of 8 seconds to rescue the hooked survivor and all you can do is watch.
-
But at the point when there's a potential four d-strikes in a single match with the showing of Obsession and ranking has zero measure of competency (seriously, even in red ranks I see people pull crap like this and they have no d-strike available to them nor are capable of thinking of a strat like this) why should I have to worry that each survivor is a potential stun-locking nuke?
At the point where I have one survivor dead due to dc (downed the guy a second time and he pulled a NSync Bye Bye Bye), one hooked, one somewhere else, and the one obvious one climbing in the locker, why should I ignore the obvious target? She got into a locker right next to the person I hooked. People pull crap like this all the time and fully expect killers to not notice. There's no clear cute way of knowing that a person can pull a stunt like that, nor should there be. My job is to kill quickly and efficiently and taking out the first available target to me makes the most logical sense.
My point is that if a survivor is downed shortly after being hooked then yes it's the killer's fault for tunneling and then suffering the penalty for what D-Strike/Enduring were changed to protect against. At the point where a survivor purposely climbs into a locker at a strong loop to stunlock a killer for 8 seconds with two perks, and then get away is broken as hell and should not be allowed to happen. You climb into a locker, you forgo your D-Strike. It's no different then when they had to nerf Survivors in lockers after the aura change because Survivors would just hide in them with OoO and report the killer's exact location to their buddies.
