I'm sorry you've had that issue, I've not had any micro stutters except after I down a survivor. but though it may rob me of a kill or two and get me mad, i wouldn't throw ultimatums around like that. but you do you.
How is what was said in the beginning an "ultimatum?"
An ultimatum would be "Fix this or I'll slash your tires."
What he said above is "I have had enough of all the buggy crap constantly plaguing me and I'm done with this game until it gets fixed."
One is a threat the other is just being fed up.

Playable now.... been playing for 2+ years and have not found a reason it's not playable.. I think your entitlement is a bit skewed there.
Some people like a bit more polish from their investment.
For instance, for the past five to six months I've been dealing with micro stutters from the server resyncing and teleporting Survivors away from my attacks.
At first I thought it was just my computer but it would seem the bug has gotten bad enough that it's affecting machines far more powerful than mine. For reference, see Puppers' new Wraith cosmetic video.

basically it helps people with certain programs to know who they are going against for free now, wich is sad because we cant change killer in the last second anymore.
Supposedly there's a new encryption in place that has rendered that impossible to do. For now at least.
-
Long and short of it is that the new matchmaking system revolves around the Killer you're using. Since the Survivors you get in your lobby are supposed to reflect your "rating" on that specific Killer, you're not allowed to swap it.
It's designed to allow people to practice Killers they're not familiar with without being thrown to the wolves.

As I've said many a time on Huntress, my only real issue I have with her pertains to latency and the shape of her hitboxes.
When I'm three steps around a corner and still getting hit by a hatchet cast into an empty void, there's an issue.
Likewise, the fact that her hatchets are sphere shaped hitboxes and not a rectangular cuboid I feel is also an issue. The width of the hatchet's hitbox should only be as wide as the hatchet is and not the length of the handle.
-
If there was one issue I had with auras it's the ######### alert bubble. Perks like Bitter Murmur or Furtive Chase coupled with Nemesis are rendered useless because you can't see the frigging auras through them.
I have yet to bare witness to the new auras yet but I presume that they're going to be even worse an issue than before.
-
The hitbox issues of Huntress fall into two issues: the shape of the hitbox and latency.
As a ranged attacker, Huntress is more greatly afflicted by the issues of latency screwing up hitboxes. SUPPOSEDLY this is being fixed in the coming months ahead, but past experiences of leaving me burned make me a little wary.
As for the hitbox of the hatchet itself, the issue is that it is not cuboid. It's a sphere whose diameter is as big as the hatchet is tall. There WAS a point where they attempted to amend this sometime in the past year or two without telling anyone they were doing it, and the result was hatchets passing through Survivor torsos while they were standing still and not injuring them. Now one would hope the devs can find a happy medium between these two points, but respectfully see the end of my previous paragraph for my thoughts on that.

Recently started running Jumpscare Slinger the other day to great effect.
M&A, Deathbound, Tinkerer, and Dark Devotion.
Had quite a few Survivors telling me it was the first time in a while they've legit screamed and had a good time in the game.
-
Favorite is probably Otz or OhTofu. Don't always agree with them but I enjoy the couple of times I've managed to get into deliberation with them and despite disagreeing with eachother, it stayed very civil ^_^
LEAST favorite actually goes to a Twitch streamer. I don't know if they have a YouTube channel, and don't want to call them out by name. However for context, this is the person who said last year that Billy needed to be nerfed into the ground and then proceeded to block any person that disagreed with her.
-
To be fair, Ruin was never really a factor in matches anyways. How often was Ruin broken within the first 15 seconds of a match? People were playing matches without old Ruin before old Ruin became new Ruin.
I do understand the rationale though that was given. Veteran players always hit great skill checks with very few good ones hit. On the opposite side of the spectrum, you had newer red ranks that screwed over the veteran players and made it so Ruin needed to be tracked down and broken for progression to occur.
So Ruin was changed to counteract the inconsistency. Is it better or worse? Dunno.
That said, I still find it funny that Gearhead was changed after Deathslinger's PTB to reflect Old Ruin thus proving the issue in question that veteran players aren't affected by it at all and newer players are.

Interesting well you learn a little bit every day thank you
Not a problem glad to help ^_^
-
@Volfawott to your fourth point, I've done the math a while back and Legion's Frenzy moves the same speed as it was before. The entirety of the movement speed was a buff. Faster base speed which in turn translates to "lower" frenzy speed to even it out. However, the duration was increased.
Tha maffs:
Old speed: 30 meters traveled / 6 second duration
New speed: 50 meters traveled / 10 second duration
30/6 = 50/10
30/6 = 5/1
50/10 = 5/1
5/1 = 5/1

Are you the guy that threatened having reported me last night on Grim Pantry when I played Ghostface?
I swear so many people think you cheat when all you're doing is patrolling generators and approaching when you hear a generator running but not finished as that's what that guy tried to call me out on for "cheating."
-
If Survivors desire to be overly Altruistic, I am not allowed to slug to capitalize on that. Nor am I allowed to slug the person that was just unhooked to dodge Decisive Strike. I must take the Strike then chase a different Survivor.
-
Honestly no. Flashlights aren't generally an issue at all in any game. The only time you honestly need to worry about them is the last second swapped Bloodied Squadette as they will devote two people to generators and the other two to looping you for eternity with flashlights waiting in the wing.
-
Every time I see one of these posts I make this comment and it's usually lost to the masses but whatever...
NOED exists to counter efficiency teams. Teams that it doesn't matter how good or bad you're doing, you're just going to be lucky to get a single kill.
You can be one of the best Killers in the game against one of these teams and no matter what you do, how consistent you are with hooking and downing and slugging, you're not winning.
The ONLY thing that can stand a chance against teams like this is NOED because efficiency teams only ever do what's required of them to get out and nothing more. Get in. Bang out 17 second generators. Get out. No totems no chests no ######### around. Just perfect loops and borderline instant generator progress.
-
Now you know that is 100% untrue.
Konami loves Silent Hill just as much as, if not moreso than BHVR.
...provided it makes them more than all the monies.
-
Hatchet hitbox is a beach ball in shape not a needle. They changed it to needle but then no Huntress player could hit anything so it was reverted.
As for the purpose of this post, I dunno. I've kinda had the inverse of the issue where my melee attacks pass through Survivors that aren't cheating but they don't get injured. I'm honestly looking forward to seeing if this fixes that.
-
My Ghostface build:
Nemesis, Furtive Chase, Dead Man's Switch (because the alternative is Remember Me ugh...), and Rancor.
I've SURPRISINGLY found decent success with it but I really wish Dead Man's Switch worked differently...
-
I've been wanting Springtrap for AGES. I imagine his power being able to put down small automatons that he creates in The Entity's realm that work like Trapper traps except they chase you and you need to break line of sight of them or they'll grab you, hinder your movements, and continuously ping your location to the Killer.
-
Survivor: Autodidact. It can help significantly in a multitude of situations. Get people back in the fight as fast as possible.
Killer: Blood Echo. The great equalizer. If you can manage to slow down or negate healing, it becomes a one on one fight without crutches either way. No Dead Hard for distance. No Balanced Landing, No Head On. Just whomever can out skill the other at loops.
-
In many ways, NOED is the counter for the teams that do nothing but bang out generators at optimum efficiency irregardless of how good the Killer is doing. You get matches like that a LOT more frequently starting in purple ranks due to it being red rank adjacent. Your only hope in those matches is NOED because of their refusal to do anything beyond being mindless generator automatons because otherwise you'll never win.
-
That's what I thought but felt the need to double check
-
By "original killer," are you meaning the non-licensed ones or only that Trapper, Hillbilly, and Wraith get it?
-
Honestly Capcom are pretty chill from my experience. During the years where sprite based webcomics reigned supreme, one called "Bob and George" told it's story using pretty much nothing but MegaMan sprites and recolors. Capcom basically said as long as people aren't making money off their stuff they don't care what is done with their licence.
With that mindset I'd be hopeful to think they'd at least be willing to discuss it ^_^
-
Not going to lie I'm a bit shocked to NOT see the stereotypical, "No gen rushing only exists if Killers are bad at their jobs!."
Let me tell you something, at the point where I can get multiple hooks on each Survivor. CONSTANTLY down people map wide consistently and even THEN only manage to get at least single kill because I managed to stall out a Bloodwarden lockdown on the four people still in game, it's not from lack of skill or map pressure.
You get a good team. A team focused on one thing and one thing alone. There is not much you can do.
The ONLY counter to true gen rushing is NOED because these guys are so single minded in their focus for generators that they ignore everything else. And at that point they mock the Killer for needing NOED to beat them when honestly there is no other way.
-
I'll be honesty, I used to try and go out of my way to be nice to people in this game,
But much like the Fire Nation, then the Howling Grounds happened and i learned the unfortunate truth that being nice in this game as Killer won't get you anywhere.
Now in regards to camping and tunneling, it depends if you're meaning TRUE camping or tunneling, or just perceived.
At the point where you sprint out in front of me like forty times after you've been hooked and I've not been actively looking for you, it's not my fault you're trying to prove Darwin a liar.
Likewise, if I see someone near a hooked person, and don't leave or if I patrol generators and come back, that's not camping. That's either you being bad at stealth or being so good that I think the only way I can find the next Survivor is if I head back to the hook.
-
I kinda view this chapter as an attempt to take care of all the issues people have had with certain strategies without actually doing anything about it.
What do Killers complain about? D-Strike, Borrowed Time, etc. So now we have a Killer with the capability to ignored those issues.
What do Survivors complain about? NOED, slugging, Pop Goes the Weasel, etc. Now we have a perk from a Survivor that simultaneously punishes Killers for running hexes as well as slugging. We also have a perk that blocks generators so that the Killer can't use Pop.
I don't know if this was the right way to do it, but it kinda feels like what's going on with matchmaking: hide the underlying issue from the public and implement something new to see if it takes care of the problem for them.
-
If they can tell the story of the person falling into the category of LGTBQ in such a way that's decent and not "Oh bt-dubs, this character is gay." Have it be more subtle tones then that and I feel like it's fine.
The problem is I've never seen the point of it. What benefit does it truly include? It's the same as all those posts we've had here of, "Hey make Nea a lesbian so my fanfic is real" or "make David gay so it really feels like I AM him." Might just be me but why does it matter?
-
As people have said already, look away from the generator you're approaching. Former Legion mains from initial release should know the strategy well enough as it's the same as chasing Survivors in a way that keeps you out of chase.
Walk like a crab and sideways shuffle ^_^
-
For Killers: 3rd Seal. Can really screw with the people who are not on comms 50% of the time.
For Survivors: Autodidact. And for the love of god people, if I tell you I have it let me frigging heal you to get stacks instead of jumping into a locker for Inner Strength...
-
Maps that have verticality help significantly with this. If any Dwights have issues with it and the Killer not being nice I HIGHLY reccomend map offerings where you can be above or below the Killer.
-
Wake Up is still quite useful. It can be the difference between escape and death in the current EGC era of things.
Much like the Exhaustion debuffs that Clown and Huntress have, Vigil was never changed to fit the bygone era of being able to regain your Exhaustion perks while still running around. Just needs to be reworked to fit the new era of things.
Pharmacy is by no means a BAD perk but it's not what the current try hard groups consider "meta." It is useful though.
-
The problem with people that play Pig these days is that new people play her stupidly. They down someone, put a RBT on them, then tunnel the crap out of the RBT wearer straight off the hook.
Best option is to treat RBT wearers like that rotisserie oven they sell on infomercials: set it and forget it.
Now I'm not saying NEVER target RBT wearers. If one rabbits out in front of you, by all means smack em down.
But yeah there seem to be more Pig true tunnelers these days than normal I'm afraid... Which saddens me because Pig is my favorite.
-
They announced in the anniversary stream that once the new matchmaking is implemented, they'll be able to start keeping track of how much better SWF does versus solo play.
Apparently they've not been tracking that before now...
-
I do not. A prime example of why is Killer Shack.
Currently it's a ramshackle building with wooden slats you can see through. As such, SMART Survivors can see through it and watch the Killer's movements.
According to the imagery, new Killer Shack is going to be a solid, brick and mortar design. Presumably, you will NOT be able to see through those walls to be able to see and mirror the Killer's movements.
If Survivors have the option to turn off the graphical update and go back to the far easier means of tracking the Killer, pretty much every single one of them will. At which point, what was the ######### point in doing it in the first place?
-
How much of it is real camping and how much of it is "I've literally patrolled the whole map, let's see if they've FINALLY run in for the save"?
I end up having number 2 happen a lot (no pun intended). I also get yelled at for camping as well. If I LITERALLY have enough time to inspect four far away generators and come back, that's not on me.
-
Pig is the Killer that got me to rank 1 for the first time prior to the second BNP nerf. Part of what I love about her is her ability to control. If you're smart with where you hook people as well as just a bit lucky, you can remove players temporarily and/or permenantly from doing hook rescues, breaking totems, and working on generators.
Yeah her crouch kinda sucks in many regards. I see a lot of people advertising, "Well you can do this to make it useful" and that's great and all, but those minigames only work a little less than half the time.
Not helped is also the fact that her add-ons are mostly worthless. That has changed a LITTLE (see also the point in time when crate of gears and bag of gears were bugged and DIDN'T slow down search time for about 6-9 months), but for the most part you're either running all purple, yellow, or brown add-ons. Nothing else.
I'd put her around where Legion is currently. Above Clown and Bubbah certainly. Has the POTENTIAL to snowball heavily, but like Legion requires a lot of luck and more misplays than average.
-
If there's one Killer I generally have problems with it's usually insta-saw Hillbilly. Yes im aware his saw is not as fast as it used to be but in general I usually have trouble with them. Mostly because every goddamned one of them runs Infectious Fright and no one on my goddamned team seems to comprehend this fact and are all dropped in less than three minutes.
-
-grumbles-
Playing Wraith. Managed to hook two people, down the remaining two, all with one generator remaining, kobe happens across the map.
They finish the generator, my slugs stand up since EVERYONE had Adrenaline, down one and hook him. He is unhooked with ANOTHER KOBE, downed and d-strike.
All four escape...
There were ZERO luck offerings played....
-
It's a combination of his short stature and his smaller weapon. Part of it is optical illusion and the other part of it is movement speed balancing game mechanics due to model sizes.
Much like Gnomes in World of Warcraft, Freddy appears to move faster than other Killers because he's so much shorter than they are. He covers the same distance at the same length of time so TECHNICALLY one could argue he's faster than other Killers but then again Legion, Ghostface, and Pig all fall into that same boat.
As for weapon range once again TECHNICALLY, due to his weapon being short, it TECHNICALLY has a longer lunge range than it "should." This is done in order to equal out to the other Killers who have larger weapons.
So TECHNICALLY on all accounts the complaints aren't NECESSARILY wrong but at the same time they are.
-
Used to be they could see you but now they can't. What it does do though is a quasi Premonition crossed with Spine Chill without the range. You'll know the Killer is on ----> direction and that's about it. Still decent intel but it takes practice to use appropriately.
-
Amanda's Secret default?! OH GOD NO! I wuvs my wittle Pig Pig and would never abuse her!
I suppose that kinda makes sense, though what if you could only see one box's aura at a time, kinda like Freddy's clocks, until a generator popped and then you could see them all?
-
Ok clearly you missed the point of my post? Why would this be the case?

This was actually pretty good at least for game I had. 2 people left left at endgame and one was obsession where I chased them into a jungle gym where I downed them and they were so close to hatch (they had a key) so moried them and I closed hatch where as I closed it some Dwight came around corner I believe to pick up said key but he dropped pallet on me but stayed in place I think looking for it. He got moried too which was awesome and come to find out the key that was brought in had the addon to keep it after death but that takes it out of the game so it was pretty funny.
Oh wow! Cool! Glad you're finding use in it ^_^
-
Furtive Chase, Nemesis, Dead Man's Switch, Rancor. Target: your Obsession.
Now the trick: when you get to the endgame, don't moti with Rancor. Hook them. Furtive Chase transfers the Obsession and you basically have a 100% Make Your Choice situation that can not bestopped by distance or Borrowed Time.
Also fun during the endgame to see how many people you can convince to smack you with a pallet or blind you. I've been in tears from laughing so hard due to people's stupidity lmfao.

If the multitude of new forum accounts are to go by then I would assume its a influx of newer players who are bred to be toxic from the get-go.
I mean you see almost non-stop toxic forum posts, in game messages, YT behavior, etc etc.
This is simply a assumption as to the increase in such activity.
I guess that makes sense but dear lord isn't it a pain in the ass... I just hope that the new matchmaking system doesn't cause the people having better matches to constantly be facing these people since theoretically it would skew from the strategy working better against newer people than veteran players.
-
@Twenties20ka said:
@Khroalthemadbomber Hello, you don't know, is the problem already fixed?
Not sure. It's kinda a finicky thing to test. You need a dead Obsession and then once the last generator gets powered, you need to get a new Obsession. Not something that generally happens ever match.
-
If I've already hooked you recently, I'm not starved for pressure, and I happen upon you not doing anything, odds are I'll give you a single pass.

😂 If that ain't the truth. I love Steve's though. I can't help it.
Nancy players - Either VERY cooperative, or will laugh at you from behind a rock. I'm the former, unless you sandbag me.
Agreed. I say what I said not because Steve players are malicious. Oh far from it. They're generally the first ones to offer to help. It's that if I see one running towards me to help on my generator or to heal me, I sprint away in the opposite direction for fear of the impending apocalypse in pursuit of him.
