And they tunnel everyone right off the hook? First day I thought it was due to it being a new killer, but now it’s how they all play. I’ve not seen one game in days where nemesis didn’t tunnel each player off the hook. Anyone else?

Camping and tunneling off hook wins games, though. Nemesis isn't a high tier killer, his power has draw backs, and his zombie AI has been severely dumbed down. What are we supposed to? Not try to win?

  • @Yords said:

You do realize this would do nothing right? This would massively buff killers.

In your idea, this is what would happen:

    • The killer finds a survivor
    • The killer downs and hooks a survivor
    • The killer sees another survivor via BBQ
    • The killer chases that survivor
    • The other survivor that was on a gen goes for a rescue
    • The killer is in a winning position because no one is on gens

See the major flaw in your idea?

This wouldn't even stop tunneling and camping either.

You're forgetting about 2 gens being done by the time the killer hooks the first survivor, IF the killer can manage to hook the survivor by then. You left out all the loops, pallets, vaults, and survivor perks in your list there.

This combo is beyond broken and is a free win for killers such as Blight. Why is such an absolutely busted and overpowered combo not nerfed yet? Boosts a bad killer into a good killer and a good killer into a god killer. Survivors have zero chance to beat it and there is certainly no fun having no chance with an aggressive Killer, Overpowered Perks, and Killer-sided Maps. I've played against enough of it and it is totally BS. I've played with good survivors and everyone is oppressed into nothing. 3+ gens are always still untouched at the end of every trial.

It is particularly disturbing when there is an actual survivor achievement where you have to play with no perks and is expected to exit the gates with such a combo that is spammed constantly.

Does anyone at BHVR realize you can't escape with perks against it much less without?

Rework Tinkerer and nerf Ruin so these perks don't literally "give" the game to the killer.

Ruin has already been nerfed. Tinkerer was changed, because it was bad, and now its fine. There's literally no reason to change them now.

  • Well, if you fix one of those problems, I'm sure the other will be resolved, too.

I love Pop as a killer. But it's way too imbalanced for survivors at the end game.

As Killer, when 1 gen is left its easy to pick between the 3 remaining gens to pop.

And when I kill 1 person at any point, Pop becomes way too oppressive to be fair for the survivors.

I think Pop should be stronger at the start of the game and get weaker as the game progresses. I'll let the devs figure out the specifics. Whether its frequency or percentage of regression. They can decide.

Make Pop less effective at end game? Why? So you can escape easier?

Tinkerer and Ruin/Pop is the survivor equivalent of DS + Unbreakable for the killer, no matter what the survivor does theyre in a bad situation, unless theyre lucky and have a teammate nearby. Thats theyre objective right there being robbed from them, just like how killers were being robbed before of their objective

Again, the perk is fine for high level play since it only gets used once per gen, because the team is able to communicate that they have a gen almost done and as they're being chased away some one else can take over, for solo q you cant just rely on luck and call it a day.

You sound like Tinkerer automatically causes the gen to explode and regress all progress made, as opposed to it just alerting the killer who then has to make the choice to go to the gen or do what they were doing originally.

The true requirement to make hillbilly viable again is simply to remove overheat and add skybilly back. The overheat is too oppressive to his kit and punishes people for playing the killer.

In exchange Bubba needs a match limit to the amounts he can down with his chainsaw. (3-4 downs max) Hillbilly is unplayable and less fun then legion or the twins.

Overheat prevents op strats like curve billy or drift king billy. Also as a side note bring back insta saw addons but buffed. (insta saw addons were not viable or oppressive with insane counterplay to deserve a dev pass) Sky billy needs to come back as well as how else will i be able to down survivors???!!! Engravings are hard to use and overheat quickly not allowing fun at all. Same with drift.

Billy buff pls. Who cares about trapper. Nerf the booba

Why you bringing Bubba into this? Leatherface is fine. Hillbilly is the one with the problem.

  • Remember old red ranks where it was only Nurse and Hillbilly killers? That's why.

  • I'm not touching Jill or Leon until Nemesis is p3 with all perks unlocked.

  • I have a bit of new chapter ritual. I play the new killer until they're P3 and have all perks. Then I unlock those perks on the rest of my killers, who are also P3 and maxed. This year I decided to work on survivors. Maxed out the 4 OG survivors, along with Steve, Jane, Feng, Bill, and Zarina. Ace is P3 now, but he's going to be on hold, because I want Jill and Leon maxed out next.

Yes, I played a lot since release. 😅

How do 3 people both escape and die at the same time?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2252128#Comment_2252128

You just constantly talked about gen rush and claimed the old mori's weren't toxic. I've literally seen the game ended in under a minute with the old moris. You can't even understand why camping is toxic. You're not saying it's toxic but I think it's ok. You're literally saying ruining someone's ability to play a game is somehow not toxic. You think taking away the ability for 1 person to even play the game is OK because you want to win at all costs. This is a game. It should be about fun. There is nothing on the line.

Please define gen rush and tell me why it's so toxic and unstoppable.

How do 3 people both escape and die at the same time? Dunno what you're on about. I'm talking about what you said:

"All the killer mains here are telling me that the solution is to just do 5 gens while they facecamp and the other 3 will escape. But then they also tell me that this is a realistic strategy for the killer's goal of kill everyone. Which one is it?"

Doing the gens while a survivor is being camped often leaves the killer with only that 1 kill, since said killer is no longer defending gens. When killers say that it's a strategy to kill everyone, they often refer to a type of camping that involves very altruistic survivors who the killer takes advantage of. There are pros and cons to camping and an experienced killer will know when to do it to shift the match in their favor. An inexperienced killer will simply camp in the worst way possible and lose any advantage.

That is what I mean when both statements can be true when you said:

"All the killer mains here are telling me that the solution is to just do 5 gens while they facecamp and the other 3 will escape. But then they also tell me that this is a realistic strategy for the killer's goal of kill everyone."

They statements can be true at the same time.

  • Nemesis has the virus altering his body to be super strong... So, while Nemesis would overpower his opponent, he'd be disqualified afterwards for using performance enhancing substances.

    Oni wins.

  • Literally just playing. Win or lose, you make progress on rift fragments after each match.

  • I've completed every rift on time and wouldn't have any issue with people who don't have my amount of spare time to have re-opened rifts. It's not game breaking, it's not about exclusives to lord over others, it's just another means of working towards unlocking cosmetics. They'll still have to work for it, but they wouldn't feel so pressured to put all your time in to do it or it's gone forever. Heck, I'd even go as far to say that they should have the reduced rift leveling we got with the current one. Rift leveling before was downright oppressive.

It's really weird to make a weak perk even weaker. I don't think it's hard to change it to how it was before

It's really weird to call such a strong perk weak. Why do you believe it was a weak perk to begin with?

  • @SoapNSpook said:

I see a lot of people saying that Decisive Strike was too strong but in reality it really wasn't even that useful, I rarely used it when it was pre-nerfed but now it's impossible to get any value out of it.

If you find it impossible to get any value out of it now, why do you want it reverted back to a state where you consider it not useful?

  • I hate getting TTV's who aren't streaming. Where's the fun in that? I wanna watch the VOD!

  • Basement Bubba is fine. It is pique Bubba. Stewed to a perfection. How could you even consider taking that away from him?

With the addition of counterforce, popularity of hex perks will most likely fluctuate rather than decrease indefinitely. Much like with the population of wild animals: Predator population may increase, leading to a decrease of prey animals, and subsequently leading to a decrease in predators, and therefore increase in prey.

    Essentially:

    Use of Counterforce goes up

    Use of hexes goes down

    Use of Counterforce goes down

    Use of hexes goes up

    Use of Counterforce goes up

    And repeat

I love how you worded that lol

Too faint? I can hear them just fine whenever I play Spirit. Get better at listening to use Spirit's very powerful ability rather than making her even easier to play. Not seeing survivors is not a downside for Spirit, never has been. Not seeing bloodstains has not been a downside for Spirit, never has been.

So again: Good Spirits dont look at scratchmarks considering they tend to use Mother Daughter ring. If getting better at Spirit means not relying on Scratchmarks and instead listen to your surroundings better, why even use Scratchmarks?

It's not making her easier to play, you just want her to be harder to play. Even her biggest complaints have nothing to do with how she tracks survivors during her phasing, so you just want to nerf that for no good reason.

  • @Predated said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2239670#Comment_2239670

I'd argue you could actually remove the scratchmarks. She moves faster than Legion, has access to her power more often than Legion and can hear survivors breathing, footsteps and grunts of pain better than Legion. Yet Legion doesnt see scratchmarks OR blood while in frenzy.

Considering Legion mains still perform fine despite the lack of blood and scratchmarks, we could easily just remove the scratchmarks from Spirit too. Spirit mains use mother daughter ring more which removes the scratchmarks anyway, so why not simply remove it from her basekit? Makes it a bit easier to counterplay Spirit while she is phasing.

That's dumb, though. Footsteps and breathing are too faint. Grunts of pain are nice, but require the survivor being injured. Her tracking is fine as it is. She already can't see the survivors or bloodstains as it is, what would be the point of removing scratch marks?

  • What's she supposed to do? Completely rely on scratch marks?

I honestly don't get it. I'm surviving or I'm killing why do I care what some imaginary characters sexual preference is lol.

That's why I think there's been a lot of push back for it. Trying to shove something so unimportant into the spotlight when what drives this game has always been nothing more than the gameplay and the cosmetics. 😋

OBVIOUSLY KILLERS DONT LIKE GENS GETTING COMPLETED, That's why you run AROUND, to stop it, not get one survivor on the hook and just watch them, campers don't care about gens because they just want the kill.

And your previous thing about punishing ALL killers, no it only punishes campers like you not all killers, killers who walk around and go for hooks wont mind it and they have 4 perk that they always run because they don't need a perk that helps camping

You're getting a little heated, so I'm going to stop here and say I disagree with your proposed idea and move on.

  • @Noth1ngY3t said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237252#Comment_2237252

No it doesn't, if you gonna play dirty, than you deserve to use a perk to do it, every survivor hates campers and im pretty sure really good killers go for hooks and don't camp for that first hook kill

Good killers do camp, though. That's why your idea would be bad. It'd punish them. Survivors don't have to like campers. I'm sure they don't expect killers to enjoy a generator being completed.

  • That streamer has no idea what holding the game hostage means. They're on bleed out timers and the match will end.

  • @Noth1ngY3t said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237229#Comment_2237229

THATS WHY I WANT TO ADD A PERK ALONG WITH THE IDEA, I literally giving a perk that CANCELS the anti health drain, meaning you can stay at the hook, IF YOU WANT TO STAY AT A HOOK LONGER THAN USE THE PERK, if you want to run around more and go for hooks dont use the perk, I gave the perk idea for the soul reason so its not forced for the killer to leave the hook because the perk cancels the anti health drain

It sounds like a horrible idea to have to use up a perk slot to have things go back to how they are now. That punished all killers.

  • @Noth1ngY3t said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237211#Comment_2237211

But if removing health drain when killer is camping, makes the killer move around and GET BETTER AT THE GAME, so they dont need to camp anymore, and if they gonna keep camping 1 survivor 3 can escape.

Also they can add perks to the killer the one i mentioned that ignores the anti health drain for some duration of time

There should be no game mechanic to force a killer away from the hook. There are situations where the killer will want to be near the hooked survivor, experienced killers. You can't punish every killer just because some of them camp when it's against their own interest.

  • @Noth1ngY3t said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237188#Comment_2237188

Literally just said how none of the perks you listed help against camping, i literally gave an idea that helps survivors AND gave a perk to the killers to help them against it, here i thought you killers would be accepting but here you're defending camping because you cant play in a different play style, When did i say killers aren't allowed to kill

Those perks do help against camping.

Borrowed time gives you an extra health state, Camaraderie stalls the struggle phase to give your team more time to attempt a rescue, Decisive Strike to help you escape if you do manage to get rescued but go down again, Deliverance if you're not being face camped and you managed to get it activated, and Kindred to help your teammates coordinate a rescue via aura reading.

And yes, I will defend camping. There are times when it is the right choice to make, especially with over-altruistic teammates that could lead to additional hooks. That you would suggest that the hook time be paused indefinitely when a killer is near... well, it certainly sounds anti-killer.

  • @kaeru said:

Would you accept that if killer won't camp, your health go down 2 times faster for exchange?

That'd be a fun PTB experiment lol

  • @Noth1ngY3t said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2237159#Comment_2237159

Borrow time - 50/50 the killer can get you before you unhook a survivor

Kindred - Just shows the surviors and the killer if its close to you, that doesnt do anything to stop camping

Decisive Strike - Bruh thats to get off the killer, does nothing while on the hook

Deliverance - Good job you got yourself off the hook, now the killer can chase you and tunnel you, NICE

Camaraderie - if survivors dont go for the unhook its useless

You may not like them, but they are perks that can help and they're infinitely better options than to severely punish a killer who wants someone they caught to die. Why shouldn't the killer be allowed to kill?

  • It's still an option. Basement Bubba's are a whole different beast of a camper.

  • Borrowed time, Camaraderie, Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Kindred.

  • Survivors already have anti-camping perks, just run those.

  • Nemesis' tentacle slurping back up in him.

  • I can see that working only if the M1's power was completely passive effects to boost mobility overtime and maybe a built-in Fire Up? To have no active power would really need something other than perks to make such a killer worth playing.

  • Sounds nice. Hope they consider this.

  • @Gnarly said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2207720#Comment_2207720

It's not the perks fault it helps balancing the game. My issue is it is overused in the matches I get and there isn't anything to deserve the lockdown. It's free, NOED isn't free even. Just overused due to the current state of game. Thats the main issue

It's not free, it's an entire perk slot that only lasts 2 minutes.

  • Defending gens is boring. As killer I want to chase and down survivors, but that alone can't keep gens from getting repaired and survivors leaving. So, perks like these are good for helping with that.

  • Survivors literally start next to gens, which they can begin repairing not 5 seconds into the match, and you think Corrupt Intervention is cheap?

  • @Jivetalkin13 said:

If you have the blindness status effect do you still see the aura of your dropped item? Has anyone ever tested this?

Survivors never could see the aura unless they were using Plunderer's Instinct, which is aura reading and can be affected by blindness.

Do you know anyone who likes to be slugged right from the get-go? Not even get a chance to do anything that whole game, just have to wait till they bleed out, or keep getting picked up over and over again?

No Mither users, unbreakable users, soul guard users. I know nobody LIKES being slugged, but what's the alternative? Less hook states for survivors? Shorter bleed times? There are times when slugging is simply the right thing to do, but if you're complaining about griefers, that's a different issue.
