Leaked audio of buzzing. I'm hoping it's The Fly.

I'm thinking of picking up and learning one of these killers but I need some advice. Who has the best perk synergy, addons and feels rewarding to play
While it's fun to run and stab everyone in feral frenzy, there's no better feeling than hearing a snap in the distance followed by an agonized scream.
-
What's next? Killer shouldn't be able to see what cosmetics survivors are wearing in lobby? Killer shouldn't be able to see survivor models in lobby?
-
@WeenieDog said:
You could probably do the same thing with Bond.
The only down side to bond is that it highlights when your teammates aren't doing jack.
It's still information. If they all used bond and Ace's perk that increases aura reading radius, a whole team could visually know each other is and what they're doing.
-
Mori's are fun to preform, watch, and t-bag your teammate during. They shouldn't be removed, but maybe reworked in a way that let feels more fair. Maybe it can be used as a replacement for that survivor's deathhook.
-
lol that dwight put himself in that situation. That does NOT happen on accident.
-
Hooking a survivor as Wraith and cloak/uncloak over and over for blood points. Hooked survivors were basically free money!
-
Clown works great.

With the new map changes survivors are dropping like flies and there's literally no time to do totems. I've had to sacrifice teammates just to ensure my gens get done. Forget about totems.
Survivors are dropping likes flies? You've had to sacrifice teammates to ensure you get gens done? Are you sure the killer is to blame in this scenario of yours?

Somehow it feels like there's MORE pallets now.

let me know the results :)
Played three games last night and won all three (4k) with the build. Granted, they weren't the best survivors... Though there was this one Jake. Anyway, I had some success ;P I'll definitely keep the build in my rotation.

I'll give it a shot. Seems very well thought out.

maybe discordance would have helped in this situation. There you go, issue resolved. I have no sympathy for killers 😂
That's probably the attitude that made tunneling and camping such a big deal.

The same way I play killer, not like an #########. If you win you win if you lose you lose, if you need to tunnel off the hook and bring an ebony, insidious camp, wraith camp, a million other cheap ass ways to play, just to not lose, ingot news for you, your a suck killer and noone wants to play against you, and your "victory" is hollow. Same mentality of someone that would camp a spawn in a game just to win or someone that hacks. How fun is it to cheat and win? Its pathetic, I don't care if the game provides these things, they're dirty and cheap, and only a suck player would use them.
And how should survivor's play?
-
@joker7997 said:
Wow this community is something else. Op has a valid point, its not about playing casual but half the community plays like antisocial aholes that will win at any cost. Just chill the f out, don't need to bring ebony moris to guarantee your kills, because Noone cares just makes everyone think you're a douche playing a mori every game. They could easily make this game a lot better by removing keys and Moris, iri head, and other such op things that are abused by limited talent players so they can feel like winners. Its bs
How 'should' they play?

Oh I dont mean not trying to win, but is winning truly all that matters? I mean, its a video game, I dont see the need to win every time.
Probably explains my abysmal DBFZ record tho
If you play a game with the expectation to lose, why would you even want to play such a game? "It's a video game", I understand it is, but what does reminding me that a game is a game supposed to mean?
-
What's the point in playing a game like this if you're not going to put in effort? What is an ideal match for you?
-
@GrannyonAcid said:
People on here constantly argue the fact that SWF is the problem with DBD. Let's be real now. That's been said a million times on these forums. And then you get these little posts. They ask stuff like, should the game be balanced around SWF or Solo? And every time these people agree that the game should be balanced around SWF. Because people think that they're the biggest problem with the game. People argue over and over again on these forums that solo is unfun and they're at a disadvantage.
Now we get this idea of a totem counter. SWF teams already communicate how many totems are broken through voice comms. Something that solo players can't do. And now people are like... Woah woah woah! Hold on there. A totem counter is a nerf!
It's simply a solo survivor buff. One that's not that major. And now everyone's like, SCREW YOU SOLO PLAYERS!
I mean come on now. Let's stop having these stupid conversations about buffing solo players. Obviously people don't feel that way. If something like this is too big of a deal.
I think it'd still be too unfair to the killer, because now the survivors have a checklist of gens and totems. If it's such an issue for solo play, they can run Small Game or Detective's Hunch or bring a map to make quick work of totems without the need of comms.
-
It's just a hex totem that gives survivor's exposed status when gens are done. By that point in the game, you can just open the exit gates and leave, since the killer can usually only get one survivor downed on the hook. It's not game breaking, since there's already other instant perks, addons, and killer powers.

No way. People would just be disconnecting to mess with other people's fun. No one should have the power to stop the game.
If they could implement bots, like they did on the mobile version, that could help. Wouldn't count on that anytime soon, though. It would probably require redoing all of the maps.
People already disconnect to mess with other people's fun.
-
If it's a disconnect, I'd rather the match just end there. Pips set to black at least, acquired bloodpoints saved, and onto a new game because the rest of that one would just be a pain.

2.5 hours as Killer is laughable. I can pinpoint a precise time Killer was easier. Two of them, actually: Before Ruin getting gutted and before Nurse getting gutted.
You count Nurse as all killers? #########?

I’ve played this game with some of my friends since the beginning (2016), when it was really fun. But we all stopped after a year, when this game become “only for the killer’s fun”. I thought this couldn’t evolve worse, but here we are 3 years later when as a survivor you literally have no chance against a killer, nor fun playing.
I’ve returned to this game a week ago and the first new thing I see are more killer buffs??
Ok, I get it, you want the killer to be able to catch every survivor even if it is “experimented”, but how about the rest of us, not red ranks or anything?! We literally spawn near the killer every damn match, and you plan to make the maps even smaller... Besides that, there are hooks everywhere so no chance of wiggle off if you aren’t swf... And the killer can now close the hatch?! What should I do if I am the only one remained, he closes the hatch and the time is running out? Just die, isn’t it lovely? Should I bring a key on every match? Or try to open the door? I’ve tried and it’s near impossible when the killer is Demogorgon, Billy, Huntress, Spirit etc. Not to say that killer mains are salty and thirsty af.
I’ve played this game many hours in the past and never abused an infinite, swf gen rush or any of the things you try to prevent. I am not “God” at playing survivor, that’s why I’ve never had a red rank, yet I try my best to just enjoy playing but it has become impossible to even “learn” to play again.
I think I’ve played killer for 2-3 times in my life and even so I can make a 4 men...
You guys just make this game less fun for every new player or survivor main. But who cares about them, right?
Note: Sorry for possible mistakes, my mother language isn’t english.
Can't tell if good bait or bad survivor. 🤔

yeah because survivor is just a walk in the park. 🙄
It really is.

@BigTimeGamer said:
I play both sides at Red, so don't bother calling me a survivor main
When you escape with an item now, you lose the addons, how does this make any sense?
- If you escape, you shouldn't be punished, its pretty much that simple. Now, you can say killer's lose their addons, buuut...
- Item Addons =/= Killer Addons. An item does not change how survivors fundamentally play. They still have to do 5 gens and escape or get hatch, killer addons can completely change their entire playstyle, T1 Myers build vs. Tombstone for example.
- Survivors have WAY, WAY more things to invest BP into. Perks, Items, Addons, and Offerings. Making them disappear now just feels bad for player experience. The toolbox change was fine as they were an issue, but who really wanted addons to be nerfed across the board?
If you play both sides then you wouldn't sound like a survivor main. Killers do not get to keep their addons if they kill a survivor, but survivors got to keep their addons if they escaped. How is that fair?
-
@ChildofGod said:
Before the three trillion killer mains that inhabit this forum start crying, I would like to say that I DO believe keys need to be reworked or removed, however this doesn't change the fact that an Ebony mori is much more likely to end a game quicker than a key. The odds of surviving long enough for hatch to spawn, finding it, and being in a situation where it's necessary to use your key instead of opening the gate are significantly lower than the odds of downing survivors twice. Like I said they both need to be changed, but one is much more powerful than the other. Let me know if you agree or disagree :)
So long as gens get done fast and pallets exist, a mori cannot hold a candle to a key.

@SteveStevenson said:
How is it killers can facecamping each survivor to death and still walk out with 30k bp?? They don't lose anything for just trolling a hole damn match. I think they need to lose rank and bp for ruining a match people have waited 10-20 minutes for. I know nothing will happen and most won't even agree but that is the most ridiculous thing about this game to me!
Quit storming the hook and do gens. It's not rocket science.

@SurvivorsAreRuined said:
killers don’t need crutch ruin perk. It allows for map control too easy. Killers need to work harder imo. TheyRe too easy
Are they not working hard enough? With gen speeds as they are, I can't tell if you're being serious or trolling.

My three favorites.

I don't want to play against PC, no console player wants to be stomped. Unless you can deactivate it, it will never happen
Know what console players don't want? 20 minute queue times.
-
There has never been any benefit to being high rank.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
What I find funny is the amount of people who say "rank means nothing" and on the other hand if you state any opinions on the game's balance the first thing they want to know is "HAVE YOU PLAYED AT RANK 1 THO?"
Which is it??
Both. Rank means nothing when it comes to being match with others of late (You'd have to live under a rock to not notice how wonky matchmaking has been), but if you didn't play in red ranks for the past few years to see the difference in play styles from low ranks to high ranks, through the eyes of veteran players, then that's a conversation you're butting into without first hand experience.

@senki527 said:
what i noticed is, that almost only killer mains are lurking around in this forum. calling for survivor nerfs all the time. they dont need nerfs! i see plenty of killers getting 4k, cause they have skill. just adapt and l2p.
and don't write comments starting with "i'm a survivor main...." cause i know you are not a survivor main.
So what if the forum is biased one way or another? We're all playing the same game and these are the OFFICIAL Dead by Daylight forums, which gives the players a platform to voice whatever concerns they may have. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
-
Killers need the help. Buffs I'm not sure about (low tier killers just need some reworks for viability), but map redesigns would alleviate a big part of the problem for a chunk of the killer roster.
-
Infectious fright. New Hangman's. Lot's of luck.
-
Played since the game's release. Most boring change, for me, was the removal of offerings that effected map brightness. They may have been annoying at times, but they also made for hilarious antics, such as hiding survivors in plain sight and crazy trapper traps.
-
End game chat can be pretty harsh, but it also can be good. The frustration of doing poorly in a match can be alleviated with positive feedback in the chat. Some people crack jokes and others tell you how you how much their heart skipped a beat in fright and how much fun they had because of you. Sucks when you get mean folks, but it's not all bad. I think you need to work on resisting the urge to unhide or keep chat unhidden. On PC it's completely voluntary.
-
What? Lost the joy in killing a bunch of women?
-
I'll believe it when I see it. Killer is still not fun and I'm skeptical about killer buffs actually doing anything to combat the issues killers face.
-
The Entity wants sacrifices. The killers put survivors on the hook for a reason. The only time the killer is allowed to kill a survivor is under special circumstances.
-
You've killed 100 Blendettes, but your story does not end here... does it?

Can we define what a “second chance perk” is in general?
New to the game?

Can we define what a 'Second chance' perk would be on killer side?

No.

Go to your library, select Dead by Daylight, and click on Controller Configuration. Make sure it's standard gamepad, click done. Steam will tell you if your gamepad is 'loaded' (might have to rename it if you've never done this before).
