That's very considerate of you, I wish that more people played with that kind of mentality. I'm by no means a great killer, but I'm often okay at holding my own. And I don't know, I just like letting the survivors know that I'm not going to go hard on them. I understand that some wouldn't like that, they'd prefer a serious challenge, but they likely find plenty of those. I think that someone who, for example, will chase and swipe and maybe sometimes hook but otherwise not make a serious attempt to kill them is probably not the type of opponent that they usually face. It's hard to explain, I just feel good doing it. It's sometimes surprising how pleasant the survivors themselves will be as well when they know that you're more than just an anonymous jerk on the other end of the screen. I've gotten the exit gate teabag (I always do. All of us do, lol) only to nod, and then see them stop teabagging and nod back. Like "Oh, the killer is actually a good guy? I'm going to quit messing with him and respect him in return".
I play on the PC and the Switch Lite - mainly on the PC. I'd be happy to game with you, I'm always looking for people who are fans of the "just have fun and be decent to each other" variety.
Invite sent!
I definitely enjoy those moments when a Killer is obviously showing mercy or trying to express that they feel bad for something. I had a Bubba who recently shook 'no' to me after someone unhooked me right in front of him and then bolted. I just crouched since I knew I was going right back on the hook but he let me go for a bit! It kind of made my night!

Hey TGB! I've commented on a few of your threads and I hope you'll read this comment in the same positive and genuine tone as my other responses!
It does seem like this game is causing you a lot of stress and unhappiness. That is very sad to read as there is so much negativity in the world that our hobbies should alleviate that, not add to it. You've not been on the forums long at all but you've posted a great deal of anti-Survivor sentiments (which is fine, we all have our opinions) and continue to seem increasingly agitated.
Perhaps you should play Survivor for awhile and give Killer a break? It might provide a different perspective to the game and a much needed break from the solo experience of Killer. Or maybe a small hiatus to cool off might be good as others have suggested - so long as you return as no one wants to run you from the community or make you feel unwelcome!
It's just troubling to see someone getting so upset - I wish you the best and hope that you find a way to decompress from it all. Take care of yourself!

Aw, thank you. If you ever want to add me, or just keep an eye out for me, I'm the same "miketheratguy" in-game as I am here on the forums. If I see a Kate going bonkers I'd definitely try to help her out. :)
I honestly enjoy going easy on survivors more than killing them. At most I'll hook them the two times but never a third, nor do I ever let anyone bleed out. I like to just chill and relax with my video games and I find it much more rewarding to "make contact" with the survivors - a challenge in itself - and let them see that I'm not going to sweat them and will allow them to get the escape. I'm in no hurry to max out my characters or anything like that. I like just playing the game. If it's competitive (sometimes even if it's not) and I let them win, we all get good points and they hopefully feel as good about the experience as I did the few times that killers were cool to me. I love sportsmanship, I like to think that the people I let go feel that the community is just a tiny bit less toxic than they thought. :)
What do you play on? I'll definitely send you an invite - especially if I see you in game! π
I feel the same way! When I'm going against what is clearly a new Killer and they are struggling I will finish the gens and ensure that all my teammates need to do is leave and then I'll try to guide the Killer to hook me. Or I'll let them get a hit in before I go so that they can at least feel accomplished. I don't know if it helps but I like to think it makes them excited, especially when they get to the after game screen and see that they were unfairly put in a match with someone beyond their rank.
-
Bless your heart! The occasional friendly round is always refreshing and sweet.
I'm still waiting for a Killer who sees a Kate running circles around trees and pinballing around during end game breakdown and doesn't think 'easy hook' and down me. πIn one of my last rounds the Bubba downed me and started to carry me and I foolishly thought 'he's taking me to gnome!' and didn't struggle. We crossed the entire map and went... To basement. LOL
-
What a cute idea! We need more community building posts like this!
My bet is...
- Killer - Wesker
- Survivor - Claire and/or Leon
If I'm wrong I'll play a round as Trickster. But to get any kind of success without perks would literally take me an entire night, possibly several days, so I'll post proof that I suffered a game or two and hope that my misery in doing so is enough to satisfy the bet! π€£
-
It also encourages taking the game hostage during the end game breakdown. It's not happened a ton but 3-4 times in the last two days of Killers slugging, kicking hatch, and then spending the time looking for the gnome is kind of not wonderful.
This is by the design of the event though and not someone just being bad mannered and malicious so I just use it as a break to get a drink or whatnot. Still, I hope they don't do this kind of event again.

I would kill for more varied Kate cosmetics. I'd love a goth Kate, I'd love more casual cosmetics like her Flower In The Dark set, and I'd never say no to a pretty dress/formal outfit.
David could use more cosmetics. I'd love some 'hot' David looks to match Kate's appeal. π
Jake could use more cosmetics.
I always love seeing varied Dwights.
And I know this won't happened since she's a licensed character but I really wish we could get some more pieces for Cheryl/Heather. I was so bummed when we couldn't mix and match pieces for her.

Survivors would be able to use common sense & fight the killer by using the knives in the lockers
This. If what you want is realism and punishment then the Survivors open their toolboxes to find hammers, wrenches, or pick up rocks and sharp objects and rush and DS the Killer as a group. Instead of a few split seconds of agitated confusion and paralysis it just kills them and everyone casually finishes generators while talking about which cosmetics the Entity will bless them with next.
-
I'm going to be the outlier here and say that I actually wouldn't go back! I started playing in late 2018 and was active up until a recent hiatus for about 7 months (unrelated to the game). I'm back now and I have honestly never had as much fun with the game as I am having now as a solo player.
Now I'm very rusty and I lose more matches than I win (though statistically that is usually the case for Survivors, especially in 2020 where for red ranks it was shockingly low to have any escapes) but I just feel like there is an uptick in balance to the game. Killers feel oppressive and challenging but not impossible to counter (save for a few, and again I'm rusty), Survivors feel disadvantaged without wits and cooperation, it honestly feels so differently from how it was right before I left.
Maybe this is just from personal optimism but I can't wait to see what the future for DbD holds and where we are in another few chapters! πI think that some features will be even further polished and that we could have some exciting new Killers/Survivors, maps, improvements, etc.
Thanks for the fun post, GeneralV!

I think Kate's story is beautiful and has an air of romantic tragedy to it. The idea that she had sort of sold her soul for fame and deviated from her feel-good country music to something more commercial, the fact that she became sort of entranced by a sad melody inside, that it called to the Entity as she played it in the woods.
It kind of has a siren song feel to me! Only it is typically the predator luring their prey to them through the music instead of the other way around like with Kate and the Entity.
-
I have to disagree with anything that automatically takes away a hex. Perk slots are super valuable for either side and it would be unfair to have any perk simply expire because of time. I could see that being abused far too easily - it would not be hard at all to just hide in lockers for five minutes to ride Ruin out.
This is a matter of opinion but I actually really like having to interact with the Killer in an 'unusual' way by hunting down the hex totem. It can be really challenging on these new maps (new to me, at least!) but it is nice to break up the gameplay sometimes. I only wish the devs would bring back fog on the maps because sometimes searching for the hex totem in dead zones is total suicide now. But c'est la vie! π
-
Lady D. has a lot of hype primarily because of her sex appeal. That's not a bad thing but I cannot think of a single time I've seen anyone post anything about liking her lore or her personality. It's always just about that dump truck ass. π€£
Other villains have a history with fans who like them for the stories they were involved in. Nemesis, Mr. X, Wesker, Dr. Birkin, there are so many other characters who I could see it being before they went with someone trending because... Thicc.
-
I'm sorry you were treated poorly by Survivors while you were trying to learn a new Killer. That is incredibly frustrating and can really detour people from ever branching out or sticking with the game! A big part of why I don't play Killer is that I get anxious about how badly I do and how unkind people can be...
But as Mister_Holdout said (and as a Survivor main myself) the majority of us are not unkind or rude. Don't let the bad ones spoil the experience for you!
Hopefully there will be different game modes one day. A game mode that specified "New Killer Practice" or something would be fantastic for moments like these!
-
Yet another tally for Spirit! I've a whole thread asking for gameplay counters and I still can't have a round against her that lasts more than 6-10 minutes. I don't go against her often but I am starting to get kind of sleepy during Spirit matches because it's just a short matter of time before she's done her thing and killed everyone before we got past 1-2 gens.
Freddy has a lot of hate from the community. And while I never see anyone escape a Freddy match I have a fun round with him here and there. Though it does always feel like I'm wasting time and delaying the inevitable I like to try and give Freddy players a fun match since so many people just DC from them.
Ignoring Spirit, I'd actually say my least favorite mechanically is Pig. I feel like a disproportionate amount of the time it is the second-to-last or the actual last box which takes off my beartrap. Maybe the Entity just hates me!
Running to each corner of the map and then to some obscure place (like beneath the temple on the Plague map, ugh) often leads to timing out or being found. Then the fact that a good Pig runs crippling perks too and it almost makes me reconsider my policy about not suiciding. (Kidding)
-
It serves as an escape for Survivors who get the short end of the stick as well. If a solo player is abandoned by three DCers then this gives them an out. Why should they be punished for being left behind with gens to solo?
And as the other comments have said it ends the game. A Killer can't just permanently block the exits with traps or glyphs or whatnot and Survivors can't just hide in lockers to force a rage quit.
Without the hatch this game would be unplayable! π
-
I'm so sorry to hear that you had a really bad run of rounds! That is definitely frustrating!
I do just want to point out one possibility though - could the Killer have been gnome farming? As the gnome only appears in the end game breakdown it seems to have spiked the number of Killers who leave you slugged and kick the hatch. Obviously some Killers do this to be malicious, they always have and always will, but in my experience as a Survivor it's _by far_ the minority.

My favorite/funny is just now. A SWF intentionally sent us to handonfield..I do what I always do on handonfield and the game. I got first hook and camped it to take whatever the group gives me. They gave me a 4k and were salty about it in end game. So yes that's funny to me. A SWF trying to be toxic. Received it back and wasn't happy.
Let's not turn this into bashing SWF, there's literally countless threads for that. And let's not just turn it into a Killers/Survivors are toxic pile-on thread. I appreciate the comment though and am glad you had a good game!
** I'd really like to try to keep this strictly to the topic where we are laughing about things rather than internalizing them, sharing funny comments and turning those negatives into community laughs and positives! π
Edit: Corrected some grammar!
-
I think OP is just frustrated and having a bad day of matches. We've all been there and felt badly, they are just venting to a community of people who share the same hobby.
OP - if I were you I'd take some time to play Survivor. Going to the other side of things might alleviate some of your frustration and show you another side of the game which in turn helps you with playing Killer. Seeing the map from the third person perspective, learning some loops, understanding some of the Survivor perks by using them instead of going against them, it might make it all seem a little less frustrating/overwhelming.
I hope your next set of matches are more enjoyable for you. Take care and happy gaming. <3

She hears everything as normal.
She can't see the survivors themselves, and if she has the mother daughter ring, she can't see scratch marks as well.
Are there any add-ons that would assist her in finding a non-injured Survivor who hasn't been running and is just crouched in a really obscure spot. One of the times I was on top of the (tractor?) in Coldwind because I was totem hunting. And she appeared right there and downed me. It could have definitely just been bad luck.
-
I don't play Killer often at all so my perspective is obviously skewed but I really like playing against a high skill Huntress or Trapper. Both require some mind games to counter and can really demolish Survivors if you're not paired with a team who is observant and clever.
This is using the game design mindset of 2 hooked 2 escaped. Though against either of these Killers who play well it's usually no escapes or just one in my experience. π
-
I don't have Spirit so I can't play as her so I've come to this thread again! Youtube videos unfortunately are so full of talking and music that they aren't very helpful.
What noises does Spirit hear when she's in her fade walk? I know running is the big one.
Does she hear...
Gens?
Totem cleansing?
Healing?
Is it basically any noise? I just went against her and I tried standing entirely still each time I heard the audio cue that she was walking and she found me each time. I wasn't near operating gens, in fact I was hunting her Devour Hope totem. π€ Thank you anyone in advance I'm just really struggling with Spirit in a way I never have before.
* Again, not calling her OP or asking for nerfs or anything, I'm simply trying to understand gameplay counters rather than perks.

The only Key nerf that I will accept is this:
"Keys can be used to escape the trial once the Exit Gates are opened. The Hatch will immediately close after one Survivor has escaped."
I actually love this. As someone who is really outspoken against keys and moris simply because they cut down on the gameplay I think this is a pretty fantastic compromise!
-
I think I may have just commented on another one of your threads with a similar premise - if so I apologize in advance for redundant posting!
But don't stress out about this kind of thing. It's easier said than done but really at the end of the day as long as you play a clean game and are kind in chat then you've done everything you can and should do. It's important for you to have fun with the experience and to play in a way that suits you and is enjoyable!
Though since you offered I'd love if a Killer would graciously help me find the charm during EGC. π Killers! If you see a Kate pinballing madly across the map and circling trees like a crazy woman, spare her. She's charm thirsty. LOL <3

You are right on this one, my friend, but the creepy ambience we used to have certainly helped, even for those way past 100 hours.
I agree with you on this! I love the Silent Hill map because of the startling noises, the body falling out of the locker, etc! I wish they'd do more atmospheric things like that even if they are campy and cheesy! I'd also love for the fog to return to the game. Having full map visibility takes away from some of the spookiness of having a Michael staring at you from the distance or a Ghostface creeping up on you. Stalker Killers seem a little disadvantaged without the fog which is a shame!
-
Doctor is a tough 3 gen for me too - moreso than some of the other Killers because of his awareness abilities. Some of how you counter that is the luck of having aware teammates but if you can wrangle everyone together it's fairly easy (albeit tedious and slow) to just work in opposition of his pattern.
What I tend to do is bait one of his three gens. Run up, tap it, back away, etc. If you can convince him that you really want that gen there's a chance he'll just focus on guarding that specific one while the rest of your team can tackle the others. It doesn't always work but at least if you die you're out of the match which was going to take awhile anyways! π
-
That's annoying! Sorry you had to deal with that - immature people will always bog down competitive games with negativity. Don't let it get to you!
Good luck and go get 'em, pussy killer. π

People have always called the forums killer-sided, but it's actually not until recently that that's come true.
So manyΒ vocal, complaining survivor mains have left... All we have now is Sluzzy...
As I said it ebbs and flows as all forums do. I remember a time last year during the doctor buff where it was very Killer sided and a time shortly after where it was all Survivors. I've just personally noticed (which is far from being definitive!) that the forums seem to be Killer sided while Reddit seems to be more Survivor sided.
Neither of which is a bad thing necessarily. I personally love the forums because I like to interact with Killers outside of matches! π
Edit: Fixed a missing word!

,,greed" How can they dare to play the game how its supposed. This goes for both sides. I dont care for your challanges, if i want to help you, i help you not when someone beggs for it.
That was what my post was saying. πSurvivors don't know Killer challenges and Killers don't know Survivor challenges. It's hard to relay what you're trying to do if it's not usual gameplay. I wasn't condoning any playstyle or insulting Killers or Survivors for trying something different.
English is not my first language so if 'greed' sounded offensive then perhaps I meant 'excitement' or 'eagerness'. Either way the message about understanding one another remains!
Happy gaming! <3
-
A lot of the "friendly BP farming exchanges" that you see come from the Rift mechanic. Sometimes when Killers are struggling with certain challenges they'll invite the Survivors into an unusual gameplay so that they can get their challenge done. In exchange they help Survivors farm some BP.
If you're playing Killer and you don't like that then just continue with your normal playstyle and you'll set the tone of the game.
If you're playing Survivor and you see that then focus on gens and leave through the exit gate. Without any interference from Killer (if they are off farming BP with the other Survivors) you can finish the gen in about a 1.5 minutes so finishing up the last few and leaving shouldn't take too terribly long.
-
Good post about not letting other people's attitude or words discourage you from playing the game! And I totally second this!
One thing I'd definitely recommend is to not let the frequency of any post you see get to you. It looks like you're new to the forum (welcome!) so be prepared to see a lot of people venting their frustrations about everything from perks to tactics or even specific matches. Try not to get bogged down by any negativity.
The DbD forums (in my opinion) tend to lean a little Killer-voiced whereas Reddit is the more Survivor outspoken platform. That's not the hard and fast rule and there's always exceptions, of course, but if anyone is noticing a lot of negative posts about their chosen side of the game just remember that it ebbs and flows and that what matters at the end of the day is that we all have fun and be kind to one another!
I'm a Survivor main and when I first joined this forum I remember feeling bogged down by what I felt was negativity about Survivors. It's never the majority - most people in this community are super awesome and just want to have a good time. π
Happy gaming! <3
-
There is definitely some compensation that is Killer sided when it comes to landing hits. As Mr_K said it is often because of a delay or desync between the Killer and the Survivor. Unfortunately, it is probably more fair for it to favor the Killer as they are the solo against four. If every Survivor in the round had hit preference and they were whiffing every strike/grab then that would be waaaay too punishing for them.
But it does stink! What kills me is when I leap from a window or something and they are still on the second floor and 'hit' me when I'm about to touch ground. Sometimes it's a laugh - it reminds me of a time I was in a round with a friend and he got one of those delayed hits and he just cries, "Oh god, Trappers got a gun!" π€£
It's not as bad as it used to be but there is definitely room for improvement. Hopefully they iron it out more!
-
The most frustrating part of that post is the matchmaking. I'm sorry that that happened! That can be so discouraging when you're just trying to learn the game and have people celebrating that you're not skilled yet. It can feel like you're being punished for being new. As a Survivor main, I'm sorry that that happened to you!
But hey, hang in there! You know with undeniable certainty that it was not a fair match. Skills aside they also had more hours and experience in the game that you probably do not have. It's crumby and unfortunately until matchmaking is ironed out it will happen (sometimes more often than others). Don't hold on to the frustration! Let it go and move on to the next match. Keep practicing and feeling out if Killer is for you.
And if you stick with it then one day you'll be cleaning the floor with us Survivors. π Hang in there and happy gaming!
-
Survivor main here so I'm answering as one! π
I thought going against the Trapper was going to be boring. He's sort of the poster Killer for this game, everything I'd ever seen previously to playing was Trapper, and when I got into the game and saw that he was one of the oldest I thought he'd probably been left in the dust as one of the stale OGs.
I love going against a good Trapper. Every time I am in a chase and they manage to herd me into one of their traps I wish they could hear me applaud them. Or when I think I'm being so smooth and so sneaky and I step on a well-hidden trap... chef's kiss
I think since I can literally see the outcome of the Killer's pre-planning and thought process it just makes Trapper such an engaging Killer to go against.
-
Sorry to hear that you had a rough match like that, OP!
I play Survivor 99% of the time and I can't stand keys either. The same goes for moris. Anything that dramatically alters the flow of the game and hinders someone from playing or cheapens the experience for any other player is really unfortunate in my opinion.
I've seen posts with Survivors complaining about moris and Killers complaining about keys, it'd be great if the community kind of shifted away from those things. Personally, I've seen way less of both since returning to the game so perhaps some people are of the same mindset!
Hang in there and happy gaming. <3
-
It's been said several times but one hit on hook is normal as it is essentially like hitting the mute button on a Survivor! Even if they've got the most tolerable scream you've probably heard 5+ other screams that match, it's grating. And I'm saying that as a Survivor main! π
Any hits after that are just poor sportsmanship. But hey, don't let it get to you! As corny as it is to say it really is a best practice to just let it go. There's a million and a half reasons that someone on the other team could be bad mannered and if you played a clean round then none of them have anything to do with you.
Focusing on the bad will make any competitive game quickly become overwhelming and that's a real shame since we can all agree this game is really fun. Get your BP, get out, move on to the next match where you might have a blast.
Take care and happy gaming! <3
-
Moris are the Killers version of keys, and vice versa. Both end the game prematurely and strip the opponent of playtime. I'm a Survivor main and I've noticed moris a bit more in matches where I see someone bring a key than if all of us are empty handed - not always, but nothing is 100%.
I would personally love if both sides stopped using keys/moris but that's just me! π

Isn't David's entire shtick about protecting his friends?
As to the OP's question...
I'd want Laurie. A badass that's experienced with Evil.
Steve, because he's Steve.
And probably Bill or Ash?
As for who I wouldn't want...
Yun-Jin, for obvious reasons.
Meg, because she can definitely run faster than me.
And I'm not sure for the last one. Maybe Felix. He'd probably be focused on getting back to his family above all.
Yes! David works as a "debt collector" and competes in fight clubs which was later to be revealed as being to help someone. I think he was paying off someone's debts. I don't quite recall but I know they later added a more sympathetic element to his story.
But! As a "debt collector" he was obviously hurting people with the mindset of the end justifying the means. I'm not friends with David in this scenario, I'm just some stranger he's never met or talked to. I think his mindset would be 'better her than me'. That's just my interpretation though! π

Question since i havn't played since the whole rift ... battlepass thing got added, how much insanely more do you have to play if you only do one side? Like my ~1000 hours worth so far i've played allmost exclusively killer, not looking forward to doing the solo survivor side but do you have to play like 8 hours a day if you only go for one side of it?
I'm almost exclusively a Survivor player and did the first several rifts to 100 by playing for a few hours a couple of nights a week. There were definitely a few longer sessions in there on weekends and such. These were the rifts that were 7+ months ago and from what I understand they made the rift tiers even more obtainable while I was gone.
You should be able to max it out playing only Killer fairly easily and without having to dedicate your whole life to the game. π
-
Super fun question!
I'd want...
Dwight - he's caring and teamwork oriented. He's the kind of guy who would make sure everyone got out of the exit gate.
Bill - he's a soldier and would be focused and efficient. He's also selfless and would sacrifice himself to save the rest of us.
Nea - she's got street smarts and seems like she'd be really good at getting our objectives done.
I wouldn't want...
Yun-Jin - she's entirely too self-serving and opportunistic.
David - he'd leave someone behind in a heartbeat if it meant getting ahead. He might even trip someone, honestly.
Ash - I just don't care for the movie/him. π€£
-
I'm on console but when I find a Killer who is not cross-platform and I'm able to message them I like to send them a positive message. Like you said miketheratguy, it's a nice reminder that we are all human and that not all of us are 'toxic' players.
-
I main Kate (obviously haha) because of her backstory, mostly. The whole bit about the Entity being drawn to her song in the woods has a very sad siren feel to me which I think is really interesting.
She's got one of the more tolerable screams in the game.
She's got extremely cute cosmetics! You can put together some really nice outfits that are also not totally obnoxiously bright. Flower in the Dark is one of my favorite Survivor cosmetic sets.
Kate can also be deceptively stealthy. So much of her cosmetics shows a lot of her bright white skin, but if you use the Debut Night Curls (dark brown hair), Mustang Sally sweater (ugly sweater collection, hers is dark), and Route 66 Leather (black pants and boots) she's actually very camouflaged. I've hunkered in grass and corners Blendette style before and had Killers walk right by.
-
Thank you guys for the suggestions! That helps immensely! π
-
Survivor main here!
Everything that can be done in the game is a viable tactic. If it's a game mechanic or a behavior then it's fair game. That being said there is definitely a user-based etiquette which is considered better for the game.
I personally do not like camping/tunneling Killers for the same reason that I do not like moris and keys. Anything that ends the game prematurely cheapens the experience for me (for lack of a better word). I think the majority of people who play Killer probably like the chase as that is the major mechanic behind Killer. Using their unique powers and abilities they hunt down and catch the Survivors - so why end that prematurely? Taking someone from first hook to final hook, or downing them instantly off of hook removes a sizable chunk of gameplay (two whole chases).
I know this is not part of the topic and I'm not trying to derail the conversation, but I'll point out keys so that my view doesn't seem biased. What makes the game fun for me as a Survivor is the mind games with Killer chases and the stealth of trying to not get caught as I complete gens. Something that bypasses the end game entirely feels boring.
This is all my personal opinion, of course, and the Survivors and Killers owe each other nothing but sportsmanship in the end. But I think that the main reason behind a lot of the frustration from both sides is that they want to play the game. Not have someone else strip them of gameplay and opportunity.
Just my two cents. Happy gaming, all. <3

stop being wholesome of the forums how am i supposed to be angry if you say nice things
Haha! I hope it helped a little!
For what it is worth, Oni is one of my favorites to go against because he's one of the only Killers that actually stresses me out. Inner Strength is terrible against him because he'll just follow the blood orbs and that's only in the rare case that I escaped him. When I hear the roar I just know I'm dead. π€£
I know a few other Survivors who feel the same way. Keep playing who you enjoy, Killer variance is what keeps this game fun!

While I agree that the bad manners are inexcusable from both sides I do want to say that it is an unfortunate part of any online competitive gaming. DbD also has a reputation for a lot of hostility.
It is really frustrating and it's hard to not feel wounded by people being nasty. I'm a Survivor main who has never tea bagged even once. Never. I refuse to bring keys (I think it is the equivalent of a Mori and is bad sportsmanship). I only bring flashlights for Rift challenges and even then if it says to blind a Killer 5 times I'll try to do that over 5 separate rounds so that I'm not just spamming one poor Killer. When the gate is open and I'm sure everyone is safe I leave, when I find the hatch I jump instantly, I never wait to make sure a Killer sees me. If the other 3 Survivors DC I will try to lead Killer to basement and I volunteer a hook so they get one full kill.
I like to think I'm a good sport and a fun Survivor to play against. And yet more often than not when I get a message it's calling me bad words, etc. And so I get that it really hurts!
But if you let it get to you too badly it will poison you from the game which is a shame since this is a fun game with some really wonderful community members. Hang in there, try to let the salt roll off of your, and remember that their emotional immaturity or their malice is not your problem.
Take care and happy gaming. <3

The devs would never do this as the backlash from Killers would be too severe. I don't foresee Survivors getting any new items anytime soon - the last significant change to items that I know of was a buff to flashlights (I think?) and a nerf to toolboxes.
Also I could just imagine how terrible the hitboxes would end up being on the Killers. With what they are for Survivors I can just imagine the thousands of threads about getting shot through walls, around corners, etc. It also seems like a good way to increase hostility between Survivors and Killers.
As an almost exclusive Survivor, I am cringing just imagining turning around and seeing three Survivors waiting at the exit gate to all shoot the Killer in succession and stun him for a solid 15 seconds followed by enough tea to fill the Boston harbor all over again. No thank you!

Nea has the closest thing to 'edgy' street clothes for the female characters.
Meg is an OG character. Once the graphics update comes out she'll actually look cuter too which will boost people playing her.
Feng is the OG Asian girl and admittedly has some pretty adorable cosmetics. And with her Technician skill she's a great starter for people learning to hit the skill checks.
Claudette is Blendette. She's also arguably got the most grating female scream which I've known some people to choose for that reason.
Personally, I am surprised there are not more Kate players. She's got some really fantastic cosmetics (some of her Rift clothes, like the sweater with the backpack, are adorable) and her sounds are a lot less obnoxious, though that's subjective. She's also got a pretty awesome backstory and has total Final Girl vibes. I suspect that once we get her graphics update and she's 'hotter' we'll see more of her.
