So I was going to post this after it happened, but I've been busy responding to others on here. So about half an hour ago, I was playing Nurse. I didn't miss a single blink. Not one(I'm proud of this 😂)

But guess how many kills I got? Two. The match lasted maybe 5 minutes, and I got ten hooks in that time. I still only get two kills.

So tell me. How is it fair that survivors doing gens quickly can nearly beat a Nurse playing perfectly? And it's not that I'm salty about not getting a 4k, I was just thinking:

If they got two people out against a Nurse that was playing perfectly, then they would definitely get at least 3 out with any other killer.

This needs fixing. It takes absolutely no skill to do this when it's the most powerful thing in the game.

Because you didn't have a perfect match. Never missing a blink doesn't mean you get 4k. It means you never missed a blink. How many times did they heal? How long did they avoid you? What perks did they have? What perks did you have? Which map? See where I'm going with this. I've played against nurses that missed half their blinks and still got a 4k.

You yourself just said that "the feedback" is leaning toward the OP's claim (even though most people are saying the opposite). It shouldn't be an issue to just try it out, see for yourself. I mean, I equip it all the time, so I have that firsthand experience. Who knows? Maybe it'll help your decision.

I prefer certainties though or as close to it as possible. We'll see how it goes in time.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294650#Comment_2294650

So equip it and try it out for yourself. Why are you hesitating?

What and risk being camped and tunneled even more? No thanks. :)

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294634#Comment_2294634

So you admit the Pride charm doesn't actually do anything, or else you'd wear it all the time.

No I said "if". I haven't seen enough feedback on it yet to be fully convinced of its influence power, but its leaning that way.

  • I mean if theres a magic charm I can equip to make killers stop camping, tunneling and being overall toxic jerks to me I'd wear it all the time.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294570#Comment_2294570

Well, some people did say they were going to let the charm influence their decisions. Specifically, by camping and/or tunneling and/or sandbagging those wearing the charm. So yes, the charm is influencing outcomes, but not in the way you seem to believe.

So you think its only causing those outcomes and not the other way around? I mean you literally have people here saying killers are giving hatches and farming with people who have the charm on soooo I think you're wrong there.

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294557#Comment_2294557

i also think the OP was overreacting and That this was probably not because of the charm. Or it was just for a very short time after the charm released.

i don’t believe there are actually many people that go out of their way because another player wears the charm. I haven’t seen this behavior at all and I am wearing the charm on every char in every match. i must be extremely lucky - or others actually try to cast shadows on the introduction of the charm. Hmm. I wonder what is more likely.

Who knows. Its probably just depends on who you get as a killer I guess. The idea of another survivor having a better outcome because of it does suck though.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294561#Comment_2294561

You just answered your own question:

I'm tunneled and camped a lot before the charm so honestly its like nothing even changed if it does happen for not wearing it.

If nothing about your experience changed, why would you immediately assume it's because of something you're not even using?

Curiosity. People seem to believe the charm is influencing outcomes in matches so it just makes me wonder now.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294550#Comment_2294550

I can guarantee you nobody's going to tunnel and/or camp you for not having the charm. However, a lot of people have explicitly said they were going to tunnel and/or camp people for having the charm. So... y'know, don't try to "both sides" this.

Why should I believe this won't happen to me for not having the charm on? I'm not convinced but then again how could anyone even tell really? I'm tunneled and camped a lot before the charm so honestly its like nothing even changed if it does happen for not wearing it.

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294540#Comment_2294540

you could just not equip charms, that pretty much the same as hiding charms?

also, this behavior is super rare, I have had maybe two matches since introduction of the charm where the killer let me live. And then I can’t really say it was because of the charm since there was at least one other surv with that charm that already died.

maybe you are very unlucky or in your region/server this behavior is actually common but.. I don’t believe that tbh

Doesn't seem to be rare enough for the OP does it? It looks like its becoming a problem by influencing the outcome of matches but who knows? Hey maybe this will prevent the hatch from getting nerfed. :)

  • @Aneurysm said:

I won't farm bc boring but if you're the last left and have the charm you're getting dragged to the hatch and thrown in, like it or not

And that is why the pride charm was a bad idea... in my humble opinion. Now I'm starting to wonder if the matches I've been camped or tunneled in recently were because I didn't have it on.

  • Yea I knew this was a bad idea when I heard about it. I knew this stuff was going to happen in the game. And yea, I think I've seen it every match since it was added to the game. Maybe we can get a hide charm option? I never really liked them anyway but about 3 of them.

My Pride's been okay. Found out my city isn't having a parade or anything this month so that's kind of a letdown, but my birthday just passed so at least I had something I could celebrate!

As far as in-game stuff goes, I tried to let a Dwight live who also had a pride charm but he kept pointing to the hook until I killed him....hope he's having a good day.

And here I was worried people could potentially get bullied for having the charm. At least its having a positive effect in the entity's world. Don't know about the real world though. I still think plague should have rainbow barf during this month. I think everyone would get a good laugh out of that. :D

  • @Mooks said:

Pride month isn’t really having any effects on me, if it wasn’t for DbD and some Rainbow Logos i wouldn’t even remember it actually. And even then I deliberately choose to acknowledge it here, if I didn’t want to i could just glance over the few thread titles and ignore it.. i do that with other topics that don’t interest me all the time..

    @KateMain86

We need humanity to return to love for each other and value life as sacred.

when exactly was that supposed to be?

Probably never, but pride month and rainbow charms aren't going to bring us closer to it either... in my opinion.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2293401#Comment_2293401

So because some people cannot behave themselves in a civil matter we should exclude everyone who isn't counted as "normal"?

We don't need a pride month or rainbow charms. We need humanity to return to love for each other and value life as sacred.

Which is what pride month is doing thank you for coming tonight.

Before the first pride, which was a riot protesting discrimination against lgbt+ people btw because they had so little rights back then, it was illegal to be lgbt+. Alan Turing, the literal war hero that beat the Enigma code in WW2 killed himself due to conversion therapy- a practice still legal today, mind you. Pride month both celebrates how far we've come and also continues the fight for equal rights and treatment.

So yes, we do need a pride month.

Well, why don't we include every under-represented thing in DBD then? I think this kind of stuff just causes more division but thats just my opinion.

  • @TwitchyMike said:

So I hope everyone's having a great pride month! Wish there was bonus XP or some fun thing in the blood wed for it like pride flag offering or something! Or when the killer tries to take you to the hook you can press the active ability button and give the flag to the killer making him drop you and he starts dancing or something fun.

I do love the new charm though!

Why not have rainbow confetti burst out of the exit gates when survivors go in them with disco balls flashing? Or better yet let the plague barf rainbow colored puke on survivors so they can barf rainbow puke too. I think it'd be funny. Besides all that, I don't think the rainbow charm was a good idea. Some survivors might get bullied in a match or some killers get trolled for having it on the hook. Putting rainbows in a game isn't the best way to represent or show support for this. The world is filled with under-represented people. Its an issue with people and how we treat each other. If more people would just see each other as humans deserving of kindness then the world would be a better place. We don't need a pride month or rainbow charms. We need humanity to return to love for each other and value life as sacred.

Because Tunneling is a valid strategy that is needed sometimes. "Winning" may not be worth it to you. But killers are not bots there for your pleasure. They want to feel good about their game as well

No.. no it isn't. Some of my most fun matches in DBD are ones where I still die but the match was overall fun. A win to me is not just escaping. Its about having fun whether you survive or not in the match. I've had matches where 3 of us literally try to block the path of a recently unhooked survivor and the killer just ignores us and goes straight for them. Sometimes they d/c after that and honestly I don't blame them at all. Its an extremely toxic and unfun thing to play against.

  • Tunneling ruins the game for survivors. A win is not worth it if you literally have to make the game miserable for survivors to play. Killers get bloodlust so why not for survivors who have been recently pulled off a hook they get a similar effect so they can outrun the killer making it pointless to tunnel? The effect can end when the killer is out of a chase with the recently unhooked survivor after a few seconds.

I don't think thats the solution, I think the solution is to give survivors a genuine secondary objective. Some have suggested the mechanics from friday the 13th and other games where you have to gather the resources necessary to fix/fuel the generators. Others have suggested things like giving killers a dedicated hex perk slot, and now that one hex uses all dull totems in the game and just gets weaker with each one broken. Currently the only objective is to survive, by any means necessary and unfortunately that sort of objective doesn't encourage a lot of teamwork exactly.

A secondary objective would be cool, but it would have to be balanced out with the killers because the longer survivors have to spend not working on gens the higher chance we have to be found. This is why killers use anti gen builds. I already believe killers have a much greater advantage over survivors. Its the random match where survivors spawn right by a generator or hex totem that killers may get the idea that survivors had some kind of advantage or that they gen rushed but honestly thats just rng happening.

  • @OtakaChan said:

I've tried everything. Last game played (SOLO QUEUE OF COURSE) against a wraith who tunneled me out even when the whole team was trying to help me. They even made sure he was a safe distance away but he came back everytime just for me. I literally had 4k points. I was dead by the time the second gen got done. I even went out my way to take off my medkit because the whole lobby had items. I need to stop being fair to killers who give no crap about fairness. And for the love of God if I block toxic people on xbox I should not have to encounter them in my lobbies over and over again. Fix it plz.

I have suggested before that we should be able to block players we do not want to play with or against. It can have a limitation but at least it would be better than nothing. I do hope they add something like this to the game one day. This game really needs to reward good players and punish the toxic ones. The props up should give rewards to killers. An incentive for playing well and fair. There should be a down vote or something similar also. Some kind of system is needed that rewards people who help make the game fun and enjoyable for everyone to play.

  • I'm actually trying to find information about this refund process because I bought pretty much everything when the chapter went live. What happened where can I find more information about this?

  • When they first announced the chapter I had high hopes for Ashley too. I'm SUPER excited for what we got though and in time I'm sure they will add more cosmetics for Jill and Leon in the store. It already launched with Claire and Chris skins for them which is basically 2 more survivors without their own perks. We'll see what comes in the future for them.

Yeah looks real good. Looks just like her mhm. Doesn't look like a different person at all. Yeah this isn't the same face at all. Leon does look perfect though.

You put a blurred close up screenshot of Jill's face from DBD next to her much higher resolution and completely different art style from RE 3 remake and expect them to be exactly alike? Jill from RE 3 remake doesn't look exactly like Jill from the original game but again, 2 different games with 2 much different levels of graphics involved. What more do you want? Right when I bought the RE chapter and selected Jill in game I said Yep! That's Jill! She's perfect and I don't get why you think she is far off from looking like Jill should.

  • Yep I agree. Having to use a pallet to despawn a zombie feels more problematic than helpful. It would be cool to have weapons spawn on the map that can be used against them and even Nemesis especially of Leon or Jill are on the map.

  • Well I think this is the best chapter yet. Also I completely disagree with you on Jill. She looks exactly like Jill from the remake. I honestly don't think they could've made her look anymore like Jill than they did.

  • You didn't give one reason why you don't like the chapter. It was just a long paragraph saying the same thing. I don't know what else anyone could've asked for in this chapter if you're a DBD & RE fan. Everything about it is perfect. You essentially got 4 survivors (the most iconic ones too) and Nemesis as the killer. Not only that, you got the RPD as a freaking map to play on. That place is literally the most iconic RE location in the entire franchise in my opinion. The survivor perks are amazing too. What more could you have asked for? This chapter has given us and especially DBD fans more than we could've asked for in this game. I don't understand what your frustration is about.

  • I'm so sick of killer players wanting to make this game as hard and miserable as possible for survivors. You get a unique power you can use the entire match. You're faster than us. You get insanely powerful addons in your bloodweb. You can see generators at all times. (We have to use perks and items to be able to do that by the way). What more do you want? Stop trying to make this game miserable for survivors by suggesting nerfs to what little we do have to have a chance at escaping in the worst situations.

  • @SasukeKun said:

Why are survivors allowed to just mass rush the hatch? There's no opening sequence for them to do, they click and win the match no matter how good the killer did. Even if you click and to try and grab it just whacks them and laughs at you. This joke is stale and finally needs an update.

Give them an opening animation like chests and killers be able to grab survivors (like they used to btw)

Why are killers allowed to door patrol in seconds and find the hatch more often than survivors do and close it right when the 3rd survivor death sequence is done? Did a survivor jump in one right in front of you? Well sorry. Find it faster next time or perhaps get the 4k. The hatch is perfectly fine. Killers usually find it before the survivors do so if we have to go through an animation sequence before being able to use it then you may as well just remove it at that point because we'd hardly ever get to use it.

Ehm how are those conditions of "number of done generators plus 1" ever not fulfilled at some point? And even a 3k at 5 gens let's the hatch spawn.

Kill 3 people -> hatch always spawns

Kill 2 -> hatch spawn after 3 gens (the norm for good survivors at the time of the first Hook)

Kill 1 -> 4 gens, even with tunneling the first found survivor to death, the rest would have enough time to finish those gens, given the lack of pressure camping and tunneling brings

(Kill 4/0 -> well no hatch needed either way)

There is no possible way for the killer to avoid a hatch spawn with the possibility of survivor finding and using it outside if a 4 people simultaneous slugging.

The killer is not supposed to avoid a hatch spawn. If the last survivor had to complete the remaining generators on their own then they would never win. Not only that, killers usually find the hatch long before the survivor does. Again, its the rare occasion that killers get super offended over because they think it was unfair that the survivor found the hatch before they did. Do you know how many matches I have where I'm the last survivor and the killer is standing on top of the hatch ready to close it as soon as it opens before I even find it? Literally most of the time. Its the rare match where I find the hatch before the killer does. That is a situation where you better hope you have a key because if you don't your only option is to open the door and we all know how well that goes most of the time.

Gotta combat keys some kind of way...devs seem to want to take away more and more tools that killers have. So I will use what I have left.

Thats not combating keys though. Thats literally being toxic for the sake of being toxic because you're mad about a perk change. How about actually playing the game instead of relying on toxic behavior to prevent a key from being used? Other killers do it. Why can't you?

  • @Konnor24 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276122#Comment_2276122

Thats very easy to say but not as easy to do. Against a 3 or 4 man SWF with comms they're probs gonna get 3 gens done. Thus that key becomes usable if you kill two people.

Sounds like a typical surv thinking kills are easy for Killers and if a killer cant get 2 kills before 3 gens are popped then BAAAAAD.

Sounds like you think every match is a SWF. The only communication survivors have in solo play is a point and motion follow. Good luck letting everyone know you have a key like that. And again, keys are conditional. SWF or not, you still have to get ever so many generators done to even make the hatch spawn and then you have to find it. Without offerings or a map that is another obstacle you have to do to even use the key. Keys are not a problem. Killers just get super offended when one is used against them while forgetting that the survivors earned the right to use the hatch.

  • @Guest1567432 said:

I mean I just won't bring Franklin's anymore...but the survivor with the key won't get up off the ground for the entire match...and I will throw the match and watch said survivor bleed out so have fun.

Right because being toxic about a perk change is the way to enjoy the game and make the community better...

  • The zombies are awesome. They add a new fear element to the game and have scared me a few times. Remember you can stun the zombies with flashlights so be sure to grab them from your blood web.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276170#Comment_2276170

You also think survivors should keep their items and add ons even if they die too?

No. There would be no purpose for blood points beyond the initial find of the item and addons in the blood web if this were the case. If you die, you should lose your item unless it has a white ward attached. Why would you assume I think this way because I'm giving my opinion about something you disagree with me on in the game?

  • @SpaghettiYOLO said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276122#Comment_2276122

Are you dense? Those key conditions are met no matter what, even if you're doing extremely well as killer. Hatch will spawn once a certain number of gens are done and survivors killed. There's no stopping that. Keys should not open a hatch with no charges period.

No, they're not. You're making an assumptive claim over something that literally is conditional. If the survivors even make the hatch spawn, then that is fair play for them to use it by however means they can to escape. The purpose of the hatch is to give survivors an additional means to escape. The keys are there to help in that regard. Again, if the survivors aren't dead by the time they escape through the hatch then that is your fault, not theirs and not the key's. Keys are not broken. They are not overpowered. They do not need to be changed.

  • I'm sorry you feel like I'm trolling because you disagree with me. I don't waste my time saying things that aren't my genuine opinion or that I don't believe are true. So don't waste my time saying I'm trolling if you don't care to read what I have to say.

Also my opinions are my own. Don't mistakenly question them for someone else's as you did here.

  • Why try to fix something that isn't broken? Keys are fine. They are conditional. Stop letting those conditions be met and you'll see less keys being used against you.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276072#Comment_2276072

So, how do you propose we counter Keys now that Franklin's is nerfed?

Hook all 4 survivors before they get to use it. There is nothing wrong with keys. Keys are conditional. Don't let those conditions be met and survivors will have a harder time using them. I always feel like many killers in DBD have this attitude of they could have several good or "fair" matches but that 1 match where a key is used just changes everything then suddenly keys need to be nerfed. I main survivor and every time I play this game I usually play for about 7-10 hours. In that time frame when I am playing solo I see maybe 1-2 keys brought into a match and even less actually get used. I don't know if its just based on personal experience or what but in my now 1,300 hours played of the game I have rarely seen a key used successfully. I wish they were used more often because it would be a switch up from the usual get to the door and open it before you die play.

    It drops the item definitely.

I can't confirm if it drains percentage over time it's on the ground or just deletes a certain percent of charges. However it doesn't destroy the item anymore.

That is better than how it was before. I still think items should not be dropped to the ground when hit by it. I think the items should just lose some charge power each time you are hit. I do think survivors hit with franklins should be able to see their items highlighted on the ground at the very least with how it is now.

  • @Heartbound said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276032#Comment_2276032

This is the counter to brown medkits we've all been waiting for. Too many games I've seen a survivor with a medkit for that one heal they might need. Now you hit them, take away one or two charges and now they'll not only spend time healing, they won't even get a full health state anymore!

    How embarrassing!

Which isn't really all that fair. The medkit is supposed to give you that 1 heal or more if you have addons for it. That is the point if spending points you earn from playing the game on something that is supposed to give you a benefit in a match. Franklins was basically a blood point deleting perk in many situations where if you got hit before even using your item then you had a chance on permanently losing the item which means the BPs you spent on it are gone too. Charge items don't last forever. The killer's power can be used over and over. I can't use a medkit over and over. Franklins has only ever made the game unenjoyable for me. I see it as toxic and annoying to play against. Luckily there are more things about the game I enjoy than I dislike, especially now with the new RE chapter but its always those things I dislike that ruin the fun much faster than you want them to.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2275959#Comment_2275959

According to the patch notes the items lose a % of their charges based on the time they're on the floor for.

I was confused and wasn't sure if it still dropped the item or not. Does it and if it does it drains percentage instead of deletes the item? If thats the case, its a small improvement but not enough. You still have to collect the item which in my opinion makes franklins too powerful by giving you an extra thing to do if you want the item.

Items carried by survivors lose a % of their charge on hit instead of dropping the item.

As someone that never ever went back for his item I'm down with the change.

This is the best thing ever. Franklins literally ruined the game for me before this change and probably for a lot of other survivors. It should be this way now. At least now survivors have a chance to escape with their item instead of the points being wasted due to it being deleted by a forever perk.

  • Where is information about the change because I haven't seen or heard anything about this perk being changed. Also I hate this perk and think it should be removed from the game.
