You do realize that ragequitting is toxic, right?

Want a better world? Start with yourself.

Not nearly as toxic as the circumstances that cause me to leave. Again, I'm not going to endure frustration thats causing me to hate the game for the sake of my team. Give me more reason to stay in the match and I will. Also don't think I leave matches so easily. I think I've left less than 10 this entire year so far.

Nobody is forcing your to stay in the match, eating a 5 minute penalty is nothing if you really can't stand it. It's usually less than what the unwanted match would take anyway. If you leave frequently because you're not having any fun, then yeah, quit the game - it's not fun for you anyway. What you are doing if you don't quit is ruining the fun for 4 other people at a time because you want the fun all to yourself. You have the right to do that of course. It's your game, you paid for it. I just hope it locks you out for as long as possible so the rest of us can play normally.

I highly doubt anyone was having any fun in any match I left. And again, I'm not going to put myself through frustration just to ensure the rest of my team might have a little fun in what I have already determined is an unfun match. If there were less toxic players I'd play more often and leave less matches.

I suggest you start looking for other games, then, if this is your mentality. The DC penalty is meant to stop this behavior.

I've already done that. I play DBD a LOT less than I used to. I used to play it everyday for hours on end. Now I find myself playing maybe once a week and not for very long at that. People that leave matches because it is not an enjoyable and fun experience due to toxic players should not be penalized for that. If people abuse it then guess what? They'll find themselves not playing the game that much and honestly how long will someone leave a match over and over again before they realize its not working out for them? You depip and gain no points when you leave a match. Eventually you'll find yourself hours into the game with no progress and deranked all the way. I want to have fun and not have to deal with toxic players when I play any game. If I experience that, I leave the match. If I get penalized for doing that, then I'll play the game less often. That is how I personally feel about the matter. If you don't agree with that then thats fine. I still have an opinion on the matter.

Lol. Then play a single player game. If you're part of a group of people, it's not just about what you want. I think the penalty should stack much faster if people do it consecutively. 3 in a row should be a multiple hour ban.

Lol. No. It should not. The d/c penalty should not exist for players that leave matches only now and then. If you leave several in a row then yea, a small penalty may be warranted. The point is no player should be forced to stay in a match they don't want to play in a game they paid for. In a game I paid to play yes, it is about what I want. I know its a team game but I'm playing for my enjoyment and entertainment. If a match does not give me that, I will leave. If the penalty ever stacks up so much I am locked out of matches for long periods of time I will quit.

  • The DC penalty shouldn't exist at all unless it happens excessively (5 or more times in a row maybe). Apart from connection issues, we shouldn't be punished for not wanting to play a match we don't want to. I've had matches where killers left me or others on the ground for an entire bleed out just to be toxic. I shouldn't receive a penalty for leaving a match like that.

In th 1st match altruism killed you You had a killer camping end game and your team went for the 4s and failed. You didn't notice noed until you got hit? All of that is on you and your team.

In the second example you were basement camped and your mad you didn't make it out? If your hooked in the basement it should be damn hard to make it out. If it activated while your coming out that's on the survivor. Sounds like you want a 4s everytime.

Its the same for the killer with the hatch. Having 3 escape after running a great game or the last one getting away even if there are still 5 gens sucks but it happens.

Hatch and NOED are hail marys. They can be prevented by an alert killer or survivors but not 100% of the time.

Wrong. Sounds like I want a fair match every time. And yes, usually survivors only find out noed is active when a survivor gets hit by it unless you by random chance happen to be by a dull totem when it turns into a hex. I have already stated the reasons why preventing noed every match is unfun and doesn't make for an enjoyable playing experience. You either ignored them or just posted for the sake of posting and didn't care to see the problem I have with this.

To correct you, altruism did not kill me in the first match. NOED did. The play was a rare save moment that should've played out perfectly because it was executed perfectly but a hex that no one knew the killer had gave the killer an extreme advantage over us at the end of the match. Again, it did not matter how well we played the entire match or how well we made save attempts in the end. A single perk on the killer gave them an extreme advantage over us and it was not fair. In the 2nd match, I was basement camped and took issue with not making it out because again, in a solo que match my team actually tried to save me from the basement in the end game and a single killer perk turned the entire match in their favor. This is not fair and it is not fun.

Also if a survivor escapes with 5 gens up they deserve it or do you honestly expect them to complete 5 generators solo? If 3 survivors escape you probably didn't run a great game. You're looking at this very 1 sided.

Then do bones if you hate it so much?

Sure thing! I'll be sure to do that every single match from now on and wondering if Il'll even safety pip because half or more of my time every match was spent totem hunting and cleansing.......

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If it's any consolation, once you get out of yellow/green ranks, most killers don't use NOED. As a red rank survivor, I almost never see it.

I've been in red ranks before and I still see it there, though probably not as often. It does suck way more in that rank because the matches are usually considerably harder. I have found myself playing this game so much less lately that I've stayed in green and purple ranks after resets and haven't played or cared as much to rank back up. I want to play more often but if I'm getting frustrated after my first couple matches every time I start the game up I just don't care anymore at that point. I'm only really playing right now to see the new content but overall I'm just not enjoying the game.

  • @mintchapstick said:

NOED sucks, but every trickster you've gone against has it because he's a very weak killer. They need the speed boost & the extra help to secure literally any downs. So, while there's plenty of instances to be salty about NOED, I'd say your example is literally the only example in the game that you can't be salty about. Personally, I still don't use it, but I can 100% see why people do.

Anyway, you should definitely try using detective's hunch if you're struggling to find all the totems to deactivate NOED.

Again, if I have to be on totem duty every match because I am to assume every killer has noed then I'm not going to play the game anymore. Its just not fun at that point.

The problem is with every killer, not just the trickster. Its never fun to play against on any map or against any killer.

  • @BastardKing said:

You don't hear survivors complain about the ability to disable a killer's perk in 16 seconds for a whole game, even if they were unaware of it in solo queue and it was found by someone else, but when that doesn't work in their favor, suddenly, killers need to be nerfed for it. Dedicate the time, or take the risk. Bring a map. Personally, I bring Inner Strength to give me the motivation to find and destroy totems. Gives me a free heal that saves my teammates time, while also working towards a secondary objective. It is ENTIRELY within your control and ability to prevent NoED.

Umm.. yea... And I've literally depippep in matches where I went on totem duty and wasn't able to get enough objective or altruism done to safety pip. I already know we have the power to stop noed but I also mentioned why it is still a problem. If I am going to solo play and have to worry about all of the totems every single match then I'm just not going to play the game. Cleansing dull totems is not fun and you're doing it based on assumptions. Half the time I am cleansing them I feel like I am wasting time when I could be on a gen or positioning to save someone from a hook. Noed is a problem. It is not fun to play against.

  • Sure lets gives survivors another reason not to play the game. If you think dead hard is a problem then the problem is probably with you and not the perk. I run dead hard now every game because it gives me an extra chance to escape the killer or it allows me to divert a killer's attention from a tunnel when I run at them and dead hard through them. Using it causes exhaustion. We really don't get to use it that many times in a match and we have to be injured to even use it. Its a risky play and if a survivor is able to avoid a hit or help someone with it then good for them.

  • I barely even noticed that. I thought it was just a shadow or part of the cosmetic. Seems minuscule to me but if its a flaw and not supposed to be like that then ok. I thought the OP was complaining about the gap of skin showing in the back.

  • @Milo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1998938#Comment_1998938

Exactly. My arguement is exactly that - Because banning survivors wouldn't do anything (they're just skins), an equilevant to banning killers would be banning perks for survivors.

Well the point of the suggestion would be to basically block a power since killers can use any perk also. Allowing survivors to ban 1 killer from the roster would be fair but allowing killers to ban survivor perks would be unfair because they would simply block the best ones.

  • Wait.. am I missing something here because I'm genuinely confused.

  • @Milo said:

So let killers ban survivors perks. That would be balanced, right? You wouldn't be oppose that, no?

Killers have a unique power every trial. Survivors do not. You didn't really make an argument there.

As for the OP, yes I agree something like this would be a good idea but maybe have it lower the chance. Even still I don't see it as ever really completely blocking any one killer from getting into a trial. Theres a lot of survivors that love playing against killers that others find OP.

  • @Mooonie said:

The problem also occurs with short pants, but from the front.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/G5LJ99GG5WIQ/image.png

I see what you did there. 🤣 What does the OP want? The back of a crop top to not be a crop top? The jacket has more length than the shirt so thats the only reason the backside isn't showing more.

  • Its definitely bugged right now. Literally just depipped because the unbroken category registered nothing at the end of the match. It also felt like I didn't receive half the points I would've gotten in a match where I just did 3 gens, unhooked and healed a survivor, healed another from dying state, opened 2 chests and cleansed a totem. Yet I still depipped... Can this new rank system go live please so I can just stop caring about rank now? Thanks...

  • Well I did say in my OP that the hook status bar is too small.

Also a lot of survivors already do "dance parties" with killers but its really just moving their character left and right or in circles. I really don't see it as a problem. In fact I think people would like it. It would happen as often as any other interaction with the killers. Either they let them do it or they hit them out of the exit gate. Either way new character animations are not a bad thing.

  • I do! 1 day out of the week for just a few hours. I used to do a lot of solo que but I find myself doing that a lot less now and eventually probably just playing on the swf day.

  • @Karao_Ke said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1936392#Comment_1936392

Uhh, I'm getting that from playing survivor every single day & playing killer occasionally, something you don't do.

Sorry to break it to you, but if you're losing more than half of your matches, something is wrong and I'm 95% sure it isn't the killers being OP.

Its a combination of things. Killers having too much power is one of them. Its also the solo que where you're taking a huge risk with randoms not knowing what their perks or intentions are. I can't tell you how many times in RED ranks I have had other survivors loop the killer literally right beside my hook. How does it always end? Me dying on first hook and the other survivor getting caught. I'm sorry but I just do not believe "killers rarely win" in red ranks. I'd like to see some actual data on it to see what the escape ratio is for higher ranks.

  • @Karao_Ke said:

soo.. every killer is OP to you, got it.

maybe if you were in red ranks where balance actually matters, you'd see that killers rarely win.

    just my 2 cents tho

I've played a lot of matches in red ranks and in my experience killers 4k most of the time so I'm not sure where you're getting that from. Solo que is always a risk because you're relying on your random team to have good perks, use them correctly and to work with you to make the best possible outcome. Again, always a huge gamble and doesn't happen that often in my experience. Most of my matches I feel like I'm at a disadvantage and feel overwhelmed by how much power the killers have over me. Unless you're SWF you can't rely on your team.

Crouch spamming in a horror game. Flashlight flicking spam in a horror game. Head nodding in a horror game. All of which are often done for fun. But adding a dance animation for the survivors oh no... I personally think dancing at the exit gate or on the hatch would be hilarious and I think killers would find it funny too.

  • @LastShoe said:

I don't play fortnite. Its very sad that people assume a post giving positive feedback for this game is assumed to be a troll without clarification. The dancing animation is just an idea to ease tensions in the game where often times people get super frustrated and toxic with each other. I think it would be a fun thing for survivors to interact with each other and with the killer in certain situations.

    Excuse me?

I am a red rank survivor and I have more chill plays there than when playing killer on rank 6 and above.

Why should you get an add-on that counters FD? You have a LOT of possibilities to counter that perk (I mentioned them all above) you just need to USE them! You don't need an add-on because you are too lazy to think and act on your own.

"My item got hit out my hand 5 times in a match. That is too much!"

I wonder why you still had that item after the fist 2 times.... Just use it! It's not that hard! Toolboxes are gone in seconds anyway and medkit have 2 heals ideally. Not that hard to get rid of either.

Or were you just sad that you couldn't bully the Killer with your flashlight? Or that you couldn't find all his totems/the hatch with a map? Or that you couldn't get an ez escape with a key?

"Devour Hope is too powerful. Instant downing and Mori is too much"

What? Say that again? Finding and cleansing a totem is too much? No? You can't find them? Hmmmmm use your brain and memorize the spawns. Use Small Game. Or use your eyes and ears. Devour Soup is fine.

"FD should prevent you from using the item for a certain duration."E

How long? Everything under 120s is bullshit since you usually spend some time on the hook.

" Removing the item from your had and auto delete after a short time is not fair."

You have 90s to pick it back up. Be creative during chase, pick it up and place it down again. Hop in a locker.

You remember when it literally deleted your item when FD cut off item charges and your item had only a few charges left? That was hard. It was instant gone. At least you get a chance to pick it up again.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1869530#Comment_1869530

"Killer is too easy. Even at my first match I killed them with ease."

Welcome to Rank 20 killer experience. Of course it is easy at low ranks because the Survivors are new and don't know how to loop yet etc.

"I don't want to have to bring Plunderers+Appraisal"

You don't need to. I play without Items most of my matches and I still do fine on red ranks.

"I have 1k hrs and still die a lot"

Maybe learn to loop then. Sitting on a Gen the whole time doesn't do the job everytime.

I die a lot too, but that happens due to my playstyle. I die so that everyone else can escape. And I'm fine with that.

I got a tip for you:

Play matches without items. A lot of matches, so you learn NOT to rely on items. Play solo. Then you will get a lot better quite fast. And you'd learn to appreciate the power of even a single item in a match.

I don't bully killers. I don't flashlight spam killers. I literally only ever use a flash light to save someone being carried. Assuming things about me as if they are the basis of my complaint is just ignorance and a lack of understanding of why I am here giving feedback on these things.

Why should I get an addon to counter franklins? Because its a risk play every time. I never know if the killer will run franklins. I will RISK that addon slot in the assumption the killer is playing franklins. Your "what if" scenarios on using items before franklins deletes them are completely circumstantial and not always an option. 90 seconds is not enough time to lose the killer or recover from the situation and get your item back in most situations in my experience. If you don't have plunderer's good luck also finding your item if you are also somehow able to escape the killer.

I have played a lot of matches without items and guess what? They're not fun. Items are in the game for a reason and I have every right to play them if I want to. If items make the game more fun for me then I want to use them. They cost points. If a killer can delete my item essentially deleting he points I spent on that item then that to me is not fair. Franklins is not a fair perk in my opinion. I'm sorry you feel the need to talk to me like I am some kind of spoiled survivor who just wants an easy way out of every situation I'm not good at but that is not the case. I genuinely believe survivors have an unfair advantage against most killers. I genuinely believe franklins is an overpowered, unfun and unfair perk to play against. I genuinely believe it should be changed to no longer delete items but instead simply disable their use for a duration. If you don't feel that way then fine. Don't come in my thread and try to make me feel like I am some kind of entitled noob who wants a red carpet to the exit gate every game. I don't. I want the game to be fun and fair and I personally do not believe it is right now.

  • Only thing I dont like about it is how small the hook bar is for survivors. I don't even like looking at it its so small. Is there a way to make it thicker?

  • @Erak said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/217510/franklins-demise-is-not-fun-to-play-against

It is just an item and the killer wastes an entire perk slot for it. What are you complaining about. Also I think since the Franklins change I lost one item to actually despawning it.

I have lost several items I did not even get to use to franklins. I don't know how often you play items or how often you've been against franklins but for me it usually doesn't end well. When I see this perk being used I immediately want to close the game and play something else.

  • Why is franklins demise still the way it is? This perk is so ridiculously unfun to play against that I literally just will not play against killers that run it anymore. I'm done with it. I'm sick of killers being able to delete my items giving me little to no chance to recover it. As if its not enough to go up against killers as they are with everything else, this perk is just like extra dessert for killers. AT THE VERY LEAST any item that franklins deletes from the match should be returned to the survivor when the match is over. If prevented the item from being used in the match. Theres no need to permanently delete it from their character.

  • @EntitySpawn said:

Seriously these changes need to happen for the sake of both sides, having a survivor suicide on first hook or rage quit on their first down is ruining the game for everyone else involved, its honestly pathetic that people are quitting because they dont like certain killers or go down faster than they would of liked. For the sake of everyone else sort this out? For example in order to attempt you need to use a certain offerings/perk for the prompt to even be available. 1/4 games I get a DC or suicide on first hook, its boring and a waste of time for everyone else

I think the better thing to do is to make generators repair faster if a survivor gives up on their first hook or even require less to be completed for the doors to become accessible. Every time I'm in a match and someone does this the rest of the team dies unless the killer has mercy. The answer is not to prevent players from doing this. Its their choice and they suffer depipping and low point gains for doing it. The answer is to balance the match out for the team that just took a major loss because someone decided to give up first hook.

  • There is nothing to address with keys or really anything in your post. Keys are not a problem. They are literally in most situations a backup plan for when everything in the match goes to hell and you literally only have the hatch left to escape. You want to put a 5-10 second unlock timer on the hatch? Are you serious? NO ONE will ever escape through a hatch with the key if they do that. If the killer finds the hatch before you they're going to close it and camp the hell out of it especially if they know you have a key. I like to play a key now and then and guess how often I actually get to use it? About 1 out of every 10 times I play one. Its either deleted with franklins or I die in the match. The VERY few amount of times I was able to actually use my key was very fun and super scary because they often come down to close encounters with the killer and just the experience of running around and looking for it is also intense. PLEASE don't change keys!

  • And it happened... AGAIN! This is beyond frustrating. So the match starts and I spawn beside Bill and a generator. I have prove thyself and everything is going great. Well the killer finds us a few seconds later and goes after Bill. I'm hiding behind a tree and about 5 seconds after Bill starts running the killer decides to slow enter a locker in which the killer just grabs him right out. Right after Bill is hooked he attempts to escape, fails, and then gives up on 2nd stage. So right at the start of the match its 3 survivors vs 1 killer and we are now at a huge disadvantage with almost nothing done yet. Over the next couple of minutes the killer finds and hooks the other survivors to which they both give up on hook realizing the match was a lost cause at this point. only had enough time to do 1 generator and cleanse 1 totem while all of this was happening. So I make a run for the hatch since its my only chance to escape. I find it before the killer does and escape the trial. For literally achieving my main goal as a survivor player I WAS PUNISHED AND DEPIPPED! Meanwhile when survivors D/C or give up on hooks they still get points and can still pip. Survivors left in the match though? Yea good luck just safety pipping at that point. This is not fair at all. STOP PUNISHING SURVIVORS FOR ESCAPING THE TRIAL! If a survivor escapes by any means they should AT LEAST safety pip. I have literally lost an entire ranks worth of pips in the past week from escaping a trial and depipping because I wasn't even given enough time to do enough interactions to safety. This is extremely unfun and I am sick of it.

  • @BlackRabies said:

No, survivors would just abuse it and dive bomb the hook or just run around the hooked victim just screwing the killer over.

If the killer really just camping just rush gens to punish them. So 5 gens already done? What else is the killer gonna do?

Killers have this amazing ability called running and basic attack that eventually reaches a survivor especially one that stays around a hook that gives no guarantee of a good loop or any usable terrain to avoid the killer long term. You mention survivors abusing these ideas but the very point behind the ideas is to prevent and discourage killers from doing something that is already being abused by the killers.

Thats a good point. By his reasoning, Maybe Kate should have to perform a 30 second guitar solo every time she completes a generator because its OP for her to be able to go right to another gen after just completing one 🤔

Survivors don't gain a super power that allows them to run across the map in a matter of seconds and instant repair generators after they complete one.

  • Seems rather strange I have the option to "block" people post match but I don't have a list anywhere to see who is on there. I'm also assuming I am unable to block anymore players because the unblock option after blocking isn't there for me anymore.

Oni is a balanced killer. If his power would reset after one down, it would be a HUGE nerf to Oni. This change you suggested is bullsh1t, you should stop complaining.

I think Oni would be balanced if his power gave him the speed boost and was a bit easier to maneuver but without the instant down ability. Gaining the increased speed plus the ability to instant down you feels like too much in my opinion. Instant downs in this game are annoying, too much power and unfun to play against in my opinion. Again, this is my opinion and feedback I am giving in the feedback forum. If you consider that complaining then thats you but I will continue to give my feedback here when I feel like it.

Oni is completely fine, if your entire team is going down in a single use of Oni's power, than the problem lies within your team, not the Oni. Stop being bad, get better at the game, or find something else to play.

If you would've read through the posts and had a sense of discernment you probably would've realized it was not a troll post and it is in fact just a suggestion and feedback in the feedback and suggestions forum. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/224119/the-oni-is-too-powerful-power-should-reset-after-a-down

Man you're just plain wrong with this one. Trying to use the excuse that you solo-queue is your problem, not him being overpowered. He's supposed to be a stronger billy that just can't use his power as often. If your whole team goes down, that's your teammates messing up, not him being overpowered. No one would play him with your "suggestion," that's why you were mocked. It's because of your survivor bias, you'd rather the killer get nerfed than learn some counter play.

If I feel in my experience as survivor that a certain killer is too powerful that is not me being bias. It sounds bias but I am not trying to be. There should be a way to shut down the Oni's power other than hiding for the entire duration of it. That is not unreasonable in my opinion. If survivor's counter play in certain situations is just to play better then shouldn't killers have to do the same without overly relying on their power? And solo que is a huge gamble. You're literally at the mercy of your team and hoping that at least the bare minimum of participation from them happens so you can escape. If the answer is having a better team, then I need better teams. How does that happen though if I can't communicate with them or they're not really a team player?

It's definitely a suggestion and feedback forum, but my point is that I bet you never play killer, like ever. I understand you want to make the survivor experience fair & fun but all you ever post is about nerfing killers & their perks. You even said keys are fair despite being distasteful towards moris.

You have to play both sides to see how this game works, and quite frankly I don't think you do that. Even if you did, you probably aren't in the high ranks & it's easy. No wonder you think killer is an OP role.

I do some of the killer rituals and tome challenges but I do not focus on leveling up killer. I just really don't like playing killer. I've always loved playing survivor since I started playing. Don't get me wrong. I don't want killers to feel like they don't have a chance to win but I also don't think my suggestions would break the killer enough to make it so they can't. I have over 1000 hours played as survivor and I feel like from that experience I know the difference between a fair match and an unfair match. The problem I most often run into is I'll have some matches where it felt fair and fun to play where both sides had equal chances of winning. Even when I die or my whole team dies I still have fun in many of those matches. There are other times though where I feel like I am being completely destroyed and I didn't stand a chance. I've had some good Oni matches but most of the time this killer just completely destroys my team. When you're in a situation where 1 or 2 survivors are down and 5 gens are still up you're going to have a lot of down time on objectives and now have to focus on rescues. if the killer tunnels back to those hooks its pretty much over at that point. Generators take long enough to do as it is. Rescue missions against killers that roam hooks are risky and just produce a lot of objective down time. In the higher ranks I've noticed most of the killers I go against use gen pressure builds and hardly give the hooked survivors a chance to be rescued. I just don't know what to do in situations like that. So many matches within the first minute or 2 feel very hopeless especially against Oni.

I'm not specifically talking about Kate. Your name suggests you obviously play more survivor because you main Kate, therefore you have no place to call him biased especially with all of these posts you're making.

Also, he was making a joke. If you don't like that then the internet isn't for you.

I took it as mocking my suggestion. Also I said I sense a hint of bias. To me it felt bias. I try not to be bias in my suggestions but yes I do mainly play survivor and I want that experience to be fun and fair for everyone. I believe in fairness and I personally do not believe the Oni in its current state is a fair killer to play against. I'm only suggesting a change to Oni's power that I feel would make it a more fair matchup. This is a suggestion and feedback forum is it not?

Oni is completely fine. If your team is out of position & doesn't heal then that is not an Oni problem, that is a you problem.

This post is basically saying Billy is OP as well because he can catch you out-positioned despite him being one of the worst killers in the game right now.

Get a grip and stop trying to nerf every damn killer you see. The other day you said Bubba was OP, now Oni. Who ISN'T unfair to you?

Its hard to heal against a powered up Oni with nurse's calling when you don't know you're going up against an Oni with nurse's calling. Same can be said for any other aura reading perk they may have which I literally will not know about until I see them use it or play in a way that suggests they're running a certain perk.

You comment on him having an Oni avatar when your name is KateMain86. How is he biased and you aren't?

I refer you to their reply where they mocked me for simply suggesting a change to this killer. It was ironic that while mocking me they also have the Oni avatar. I don't think I've ever argued buffing anything pertaining to Kate though despite that I think her perks are the worst in the game. The point though since you missed it was to simply offer a substantive reply or counter suggestion to mine not to just mock me.

His power lasts only 45 seconds at base. He can get at most 18 more seconds with addons. (10 for purple, 8 for green)

Oni loses 7 seconds of his power duration every time he downs a survivor. Can be lowered to 1 seconds with both addons. (4 for purple, 2 for yellow).

Demon Dash takes 2 seconds to activate, 1 with his broken addon.

Oni also has limited turning in his power as well which makes certain tiles easy to avoid his dash unless he's running Topknot.

Either learn how to play tiles better or hide out his power duration, because he can't simply down a survivor on one side of the map, dash to the other side of the map, and down the rest of the team.

That would be great if I could communicate with my team in solo que but you know I can't explain a proper strategy in 60 seconds for every single killer to my team in a type box, especially if they are console. I have also seen the Oni down a survivor, traverse the map and down 2 others in a matter of seconds. Again, this is not fair and it is most certainly not fun to play against. This killer is overpowered and he needs to be toned down. it would be different if I knew what I was going up against but for survivors every match feels like a "well I wish I had this perk against this killer." Its always a gamble playing survivor because we can never pick the best perks against the build of the killer.

"The Oni is too OP plz nerf. He has white hair meaning he must be old so every time he instantly downs a survivor he should have a 30 second stun period where he recovers since he should have osteoporosis. After about 10 seconds of using demon dash, he should be immediately killed after having a heart attack to give the survivors a chance to escape. It isn't fair how a killer can use his insta-down potential in his power to insta-down survivors."

You might as well just delete Oni or gut him completely with your suggested change.

Thats funny coming from someone with The Oni as their forum avatar. I sense a hint of bias in your reply there. Me on the other hand is speaking from a fairness point of view. You're being totally extreme to think a change like this is comparable to deleting or gutting him altogether. The Oni is too powerful. He should not retain it after downing a survivor. That is my opinion and my suggestion. If that bothers you, then you can make a counter argument but your last reply seemed more focused on mocking my suggestion rather than offering anything of substantive value. You can try again if you like but I tend to ignore people who reply like this.

Each time he lands successful attacks, he loses extra power duration. If an Oni is able to down all 4 survivors with one use of his power, the survivors were heavily out of position.

Its not even just entire teams. Its also downing another survivor within seconds of one and still having enough power to go across enough of the map to find another. This is too much. It is not fair for a killer to have this much power. Instant down abilities themselves are not fair or fun to play against. Pair that with extra speed and you're left with little hope of having a chance to escape. The Oni is too powerful. His power lasts too long and it should not persists through a down. Our items deplete fast but killers not only have a unique power but they can retain powered up versions of it long enough to destroy enough of the survivor team to not make the game worth playing.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/218099/avoid-as-killer-option-post-game

While your intentions might be noble, this would be abused, pure and simple. People would avoid players who outplayed them. If this was to be implemented, then it would need to be like Blizzard's system in Overwatch - you can avoid a maximum of 3 people at a time, and for 7 days only. It can't be permanent and it can't be for everyone at once. And it would need to be for all sides (survivor and killer).

All that said, it would also royally mess with the matchmaking system, making it take even longer to find games for survivors. I don't see this as being a positive change for the game.

The hope of this feature would be to create a better community and give players the opportunity to avoid playing against toxic players. Limitations would be a way to avoid abuse of the feature.

  • @cyniChris said:

Survivors would use that option for every killer they die against and we all know it. This will lead to those killers not getting matches, and quitting the game. You know what that means? Longer queue times for survivors.

We need more people to play killer, not less.

That would end up hurting the survivor player too in the long run and honestly I don't see most survivors doing this. Also as I mentioned before there can be limits on how many you can block in a week's time. Perhaps a small number can be permanent and the rest can be avoid as killer for just a few days.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

match making is already bad and this would be used to avoid good killers.

oh you faced a god nurse blocked

oh you faced a good billy blocked

oh you faced literally any spirit blocked

oh you didn't like how this killer won blocked

oh you can't find a match? wonder why.

Or you know it would be used by me to block killers that harass me in post game chat and then face camp me the next time they're matched up with me. There is a proper way to implement it that will be helpful and generate a better community.

  • @Crowman said:

All that would happen is survivors would use it to avoid playing against good killers. Then survivors will complain about queue times becoming even worse.

That is why you put limits and durations on it. You're also trying to speak for all survivors when you know that is not going to happen after every match. A lot of survivors love going against super try hard killers.
