Trapper's dailies, I'm so bad at him that I gave up trying to do them.
3-gens are your best friend with Trapper. I personally hate playing him too & only ever will for dailies but an easy way to get them is setting up your traps at pallets & vaults around your 3-gen, because then the area is practically a dead-zone to survivors given they'll step in a trap anywhere they go.
-
Huntress is pure misery served on a platter, given I play on console. My hatchets almost never hit & even if I throw the game just to get my daily by only using them, I'll probably still end up having to queue up for another game to complete it because I'm a-w-f-u-l.
Don't even get me started on Billy, my god. By far one of the most infuriating killers to play & I don't remember the last time I even dared to click on him.
-
In my opinion, I think WGLF is a really good perk & shouldn't be changed much given the fact that it isn't as hard as you think to get tokens.
You mainly need to prioritize saving people off of hook unless you're running a super-altruistic build (MoM/Breakout + Flashlight/Sabo-toolbox) in which you just need to take a protection hit or 2. Unless you deliberately ignore somebody for a gen, it should come as general gameplay to atleast have 2 tokens by the time the game ends, assuming the killer wasn't bad & hooked everybody a decent amount of times.
If I had to change something, I personally would make it to where you could have 6 tokens. 4 seems way too low imo for how fast you can earn them & eventually just feels like a waste of a perk slot unless the killer is slugging (fast heal speeds).

Cursed Legacy or Descend Beyond.
I really enjoy playing Oni, and Blight is one of the best killer's they've ever released. I also think Blight's lore is some of the best in the game, similar to Oni's.
Yui is cool, and I like Felix. Their perks aren't worth all that much, really, but I like their lore as well.
Can second this. Gotta love the speedy bois.
-
Gotta love the solo queue experience, especially since almost every game is rainbow ranks.
Had a game yesterday where I led a Ghostface on a chase for over 2 minutes with one teammate left & 1 gen. I had Blood Pact and I was injured so they definitely knew I was being chased, but continued to crouch around the map and do jack sh*t. Didn't do a gen, didn't do a totem, didn't do a chest, nothing. Just sat on the corners of the map Urban Evading waiting for me to go down.
Get this, she wasn't even camping hatch either. She was literally just doing nothing for the sake of doing nothing. Un-freaking-believable.

I've been banned for 3 day's and didn't even say anything bad imo.
Sure I've seen that got warnings but didn't expect to get banned over it.
Where did I got those warnings for?
Very simple, some people just don't know when to stop and just continue to message for hours.
So i simply responded "just shut the f uck up and go cry somewhere else, or get a live"
And just because the F word was in the sentence they reported that and i got the warning for it, which eventually led into a 3 day ban.
I'm someone who love to get into a discussion with salty people but not for hours (yes there was even 1 who couldn't let go for more than a year), so at a certain point I just say let's agree to disagree and move on.
Yet if they continue for a while after that, then I used to respond what I said earlier.
After the ban I just don't respond anymore on salty people.
If i have to watch out for using the F word and Sony doesn't look at previous messages, than better not react to it anymore
This is exactly what I was warning people about, you'll never win an argument against these people. Even if you line up the facts and have countless points as your reasoning, they'll still find some bullsh*t answer, insult or excuse to throw back at you and then the argument just never ends. Can't debate with a hard-headed person.
With this being said, it is purely your own fault for using vulgar language. Do I think they should've been banned instead since they provoked you? Yes. Do I think you using the F word was awful & deserved the punishment? Hell no! But given PSN guidelines, they reframed from that and you didn't. That's why I said, either block them from the get-go or just avoid using colorful language. It's simple, stop letting them get into your head.
-
This has happened to everyone at one point or another, so it's understandable. I might've thrown a controller once or twice in the past..
If you're genuinely frustrated, just take a small break from the game and realize that when you feel better, you'll play better. Being tilted definitely leaves you at a huge disadvantage because instead of playing from strategy, you're playing from anger. Hop onto another game, make yourself a snack, exercise.. you see my point.
The sooner you start taking the game less-serious, the sooner you'll start to see your matches be more enjoyable. I'd recommend running meme-builds on either side just to goof around & have some lighthearted fun.
-
While Iron Will has saved me many times in many different situations, I couldn't tell you how much of a clutch it is when I'm trying to get a flashlight save & I'm injured.
If the killer hears me, he'll obviously know I'm around and will make sure I either end up running away or get slugged. But if I have Iron Will.. well.. it's a field day for me.
As killer, I honestly don't mind it much especially during chases considering I've never had good headphones in the first place & that the survivors still leave blood trails.
-
Whenever anybody messages you on anything (especially PSN), you shouldn't get baited into saying something you regret, because then the person that messaged you has accomplished their goal of being toxic with somebody else being punished for it.
I personally like to make them mad with no-effort responses, but if somebody happened to tickle my fancy, I usually get the last word in & block them. Why continue an argument you'll never win?
-
Would love to see Slenderman as a new killer since your main goal is to avoid looking at him as much as possible. I personally think this could create some intense chases.
-

But then they start to play immersed and you find yourself checking every bush on the entire map lol
Unless they're all P3 Claudettes, it isn't hard to spot somebody in a bush on that map considering it's very well lit.
Either way, if they're in bushes, then that means they aren't doing gens!
-
Don't forget the Dead Dawg Saloon offering: Easy-controllable map w/ great totem placements most of the time. Extra points if you're playing Deathslinger, Bubba, Spirit, or Freddy (most hated killers).
-
I'd definitely have to go with Kate & here's why:
- Perks: Her perks honestly aren't that bad & I'm loving 2 of them in my vault build which consists of Windows of Opportunity + Dance w/ Me + Lithe + Quick & Quiet. They're both useful in chase & actually work more than not in my experience. Though I will say, Boil Over is trash considering no killer over rank 12 falls for it.
- Cosmetics: I don't know if you're into buying cosmetics, but if you are, Kate definitely has the better ones. She has a variety of styles imo compared to Yui who's outfits all look the same in one factor or more.
The only worthy thing I think Yui has that Kate doesn't is her perk Breakout. This is an amazing perk for sabo-altruistic builds. Either way, you're getting more bang for your buck with Kate.
-
The emblem system is dogsh*t right now & even if you deserve to pip, you'll literally end up de-pipping instead. I'm a former rank 2 - 3 now 7 because of this crap. I'm honestly considering taking a break until they fix this because I don't feel like dropping to brown ranks because of a bug.
-
...to add shirtless Myers
-
While I've noticed that I've been taking a whole lot more breaks lately, I'll probably still end up playing like I usually do. This update might've been a complete mess but unfortunately I still have a little bit of soul left in me to support this game.. for now.
-
If anything you're more disrespectful than the devs because you're basically saying it's offensive to have female-related physics lol
-
Thanks for making this thread, it's interesting to read other people's responses.
1. I definitely think that this game is survivor sided although I have noticed that the devs are trying to balance the game out more (ex. Undying for DS).
My reason for this is because against efficient survivors, unless you tunnel/slug/camp, it is almost impossible to win. Gen speeds are a definite problem (especially with SWF's). Not to mention, keys & maps such as Haddonfield sure doesn't help.
2. I'm always able to maintain red ranks as survivor usually ranging from 2 - 3 until rank reset. For killer, I used to be red ranks & have no doubt that I could get there again, but it's just miserable so I've kept my rank a tad bit lower than that.
3. I have over 1000 hours but if I were to be specific, I'd say around 1200.
4. I generally like to main Dwight & Oni although I branch out often because I'm trying to prestige everyone (all mainly at lvl 50 with a few P1's). With this being said, I obviously have every single perk unlocked on both sides.
5. I play solo survivor 80% of the time, if not more. I generally find survivor a lot less stressful when compared to playing killer so it's my go-to role when I hop on the game.
@Erogotic What about you? You've made this thread for others to discuss but never discussed yourself. I'm curious to hear your opinion!

I played three games today on Killer and not once did I feel a weird hitbox. I had the same near-misses I always do, and missed several attacks due to Dead Hard.
People on the forums are acting like M1 has become some kind of localized polearm or hand grenade.
People might over-exaggerate it a bit on the forums but it's definitely happening. I've noticed that my queue times as killer are longer & I can bet it's because of survivors leaving due to the hitboxes.
-
@EvanSnowWolf said:
I don't feel any difference in hit boxes.
You're either the luckiest person alive or just extremely oblivious because they are god awful right now.
-
It doesn't matter what role I'm playing to determine that this update was a mess. Do you think that the free hits are worth the rest of the update to most people? Probably not.
Infact, it's made my experience as killer even worse. Why you may ask?
- Hitboxes aren't just broken on survivor because my weapon has went right through them like they were a ghost multiple times.
- I'm not used to the UI on killer so sometimes I won't notice if somebody that was slugged got picked up, etc.
- Wood simulator on The Game.
- There is a whole lot more DC's from survivors because of the broken hitboxes.
- Longer queue times as killer due to a lot of survivor players taking a break from DBD (not surprised).
- Etc.
There might be a few good things that came from this update, but I can assure that's as good as it gets. I want to work for my wins as killer & not have unfair chases as survivor.
-
Yeah, I do agree that the person who sent the report in should be notified, that way you don't feel like the report system is a joke.. which most people do (including myself).
On PSN, if you report somebody & it goes through, you will get notified saying that the report has been processed & action has been taken. Even if they didn't get banned, atleast you felt like you did something. I actually take PSN's guidelines seriously because of this.

yeah dbd is an absolute sh*t show rn
like bruh ######### is this
-
FNAF would be a great cross-over with DBD imo.
What I don't understand is why people think that FNAF is purely a children's franchise. If they had an open-mind & actually looked into the lore, they'd see that it's actually quite the opposite. Just because children were more involved with the game, doesn't mean it was made for them. GTA V is a good example of this.
I have no idea what Springtrap's power would be, but I think it'd be really fun to have our first "robotic" killer in the game.
-
I feel the same way. I've been trying to prestige a few survivors & killers lately but it's been such a grind because I'm not really enjoying DBD as much as I usually do. It's mainly because of unfair chases to due the hitboxes being broken :/
Anyway man, I hope your break goes well because I plan on possibly taking one too.
-
While I think DBD isn't in the best spot right now & is going downhill, I don't necessarily think the game is dying.
Before they implemented this update, things were fine for the most part with a few minor complaints here & there. There has been frequent content along with a lot less biasness, with both Undying & DS getting a nerf around the same time.

Thing is the pallet one is also a tip for bubba, don’t respect any pallets, more often then not, doing this will get you the down. Worse is you eat a stun but if that bugs ya run enduring and just no respect
You're definitely right, but the quicker you use pallets the quicker you make the entire map a deadzone since Bubba is an absolute unit at destroying them lol. Honestly, I always use this method on every Bubba I go against & if they don't fall for it, then I'll obviously play safer the rest of the match. But if they do fall for it.. I end up having a field day.

Never said Bubba is invincible.
But he is a strong killer and versing him is not easy if the killer knows what he's doing.
The resources on the map aren't that useful -- palettes aren't that good against Bubba he can easily break them without losing much speed. Windows are what really help against Bubba. If the location isn't full of nice windows the only real way to counter Bubba is to give him a wide berth. The old methods of using obstacles to thwart his chainsaw turns doesn't work anymore.
All in all its still as always a skill game. The better player has the advantage. But Bubba is not easy unless the Bubba player is bad.
Hm.. I guess every single Bubba I went against in over 1k hours has been bad going by your logic. Crazy.
The reason why I'm saying Bubba is easy to go against for the most part is because if you use vaults & all the other resources to your advantage, he is practically forced to give you an M1 & turns into a 2-hit regular M1 killer rather than a one-shot killer. Getting M1'd by him is your main goal because you obviously don't want to get chainsawed.
Yeah, I understand that good Bubbas have seen all of this & will probably play around a lot of it, but these are just general tips.
-
@Shirokinukatsukami said:

The Bubbas you play against must be crap.
Bubba is not "easy to play against" unless he's being piloted by a shrub.
Killers aren't invincible & they all have counters. If you take them into consideration with an average Bubba player, then yes he is fairly easy to go against.
Survivors have resources on the map for a reason & it doesn't make the Bubba "crap" if the survivors take advantage of that.
-
Plague mainly needs this buff:
Once fully infected, Plague's Vile Purge should make survivors broken until they interact with a fountain.
The fountain then takes away the sickness & broken status, allowing you to heal.
-
I'd hug the scared bois, Dwight & Bubba.
Poor Dwight is scared of going through yet another trial of endless suffering & pressure from being the leader of the group.
Poor Bubba is afraid that the survivors might hurt his family by tbagging them to death.. so he instead endures the BM himself.
-
Hitboxes are so broken right now.
As survivor, I'm getting hit AFTER I put down a pallet & am standing on the other side.
As killer, my weapon seems like it goes right through the survivors. Are the survivor ghosts now or what?
-
I don't understand why the devs won't implement multiple killers for custom games. Balancing wouldn't be a problem, it's with your friends.
I think it'd be fun for 2 Bubbas to team up on the best looper & see how long they'd last.

Uff I hate when you encounter that guy that only plays freedy over and over.. Hes such an ez wins killer and everyone use the the same predictible builds stbfl+sloppy+pop+bwarden or noed. Plus his "long arm of the law" always get you xD
There nothing you can do about dream pallets other than crossing the entire map to reach only 1 of the 2 clocks, and the time you are awake when interacting with it don't really compensate. Also that teleport recharge really fast.
But for some unknow reason they didn't make a single change to him after his update. And in other cases we have killers like pig that got severely nerfed and is crying in a corner.
Exactly. Freddy is definitely the killer who needs a nerf the most right now (besides Spirit).
Also, your "long arm of the law" bit made me laugh xD

If I were to buff the power more; I would make it so that each bottle would not only slow the Survivors down but also buff the Clown's movement speed! But not in separate bottles! The Survivors have pallets has counterplay; so clown should have a way to fight looping!
Also as a add bonus; thr bottles effect Generator's repair and make it regress! Sure, the gas will start the regression cycle; but what if the bottles when it hits the Generator directly as sort of a Micro "Pop goes the Weasel" and make it lose 15 seconds worth of progress for free! (Keep in mind, the bottles cannot be used again to regress a regressing Generator with sparks on it; that would be OP)
These new changes would make clown a scary killer to be chase by; while not wasting even more bottles deal with the fact that Safe (God) & Average Pallets would deny him a hit around the loop! Plus, the Bottles effecting Generators would be a massive improvement in rewarding good clown players that have excellent throw!
Since he coughs alot; I would assume that he used to the bottles effects alot and just simply gain benefit of speed boost instantly per bottle throw regardless!
If you do not like these buff suggestions; just Rework his power entirely as it has too many counterplays besides the safe pallets drops and antidote giving Survivors advantages!
Love that 2nd idea of gen regression if you throw one of his bottles at one. Though, this might be better as an addon instead because I feel like it'd be quite OP, especially at a 3-gen.

I'm curious about what you'd say about Freddie.
I personally think they need to nerf Freddy & take away his passive sleep. If they did that, he is practically useless until he hits a survivor into dreamworld, which is where he excels the most.
Now if I were to base this off of what I said, that would mean his mobility would be his strong-suit & his snares/dream pallets would be the weak side of him considering he has to work for it (hitting the survivor).
Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? I have a feeling they're going to make Freddy weak again.
-
I personally don't think Clown is in a bad spot because every killer has their weaknesses. Let me explain:
Clown may be stellar in chase & can end them within seconds, but he has almost no mobility. The new bottles they gave him don't help him much imo.
The opposite could be said for Oni, who is a regular M1 killer in chase until he gets his power & has amazing mobility.
See my point? Every killer has their own playstyle. This is why we have perks as well, to correlate with the killers power.
Don't get me wrong, Clown is weak af when compared to other killers, but most killers in general are weak in some way.
-
Bubba is fairly easily to play against assuming the person playing him isn't the 1% that is a literal Bubba in the flesh.
Here's a few tips I can give ya:
- Vaults: Vaults are easily your best friend when playing against a Bubba. Unless he has Bamboozle, he is practically forced to give you an M1 instead of a chainsaw attack due to delay in revving, assuming you don't mess up your routing.
- Pallets: This is by far my favorite tip to give when going against a Bubba. 80% of the time, Bubbas will respect pallets when revving because they don't want to get stunned out of it. It's better to take the risk & run another loop than to drop it early out of fear & end up in a deadzone.
- Awareness: Just like Hillbilly, don't get caught in the open. If you see a gen in the cornfield & a gen inside a jungle gym, priotize the gen in the jungle gym instead. Make sure you always have something around you, because being caught with your pants down will end up being your demise.
- Collision: Bubbas are very prone to tantrums. Baiting them into objects as well as hugging corners are things you must learn to do when playing against him, especially if you're in a deadzone.
- Sprint Burst!!: Tired of playing against Bubba so often? Sprint Burst is literally made for killers like him & you're almost guaranteed to get away every single time. Perfect for doing that gen in the cornfield.

so let me clarify. If I’m in a game and it’s clearly not going the killers way because the survivors are doing well, I understand camping or tunneling in an attempt to win. However, I don’t understand why people do it right off the start.
whenever I play killer, I only decide to camp or tunnel when A) there’s a survivor that’s so good I feel like I need to in order to have a chance or B) there’s a survivor doing something actually toxic like pointing out there teammates or teabagging every time they drop a pallet or loop me.
Again I’m a green rank survivor, but I don’t have many games where I feel like a killer needs to camp or tunnel in order to have a chance at winning. I get 3k or 4K games often when I play as a killer against green ranks without playing that way.
Oh trust me, I despise of killers who do it from the start & never have myself. But like I said, people are allowed to play how they want (unfortunately).
As you climb into red ranks & get red ranked killers, you'll definitely see less camping, tunneling & slugging at the start because that is practically throwing the game in high ranks. Instead, if the killer is losing control of the game, that's when they'll usually tunnel & slug (as do I).
My advice to you is to keep your cool & keep climbing those ranks because it eventually does get better.
-
Things I don't like about the game.. hm..
Survivor:
- Spirit: Needs phase indication.
- Tunneling (obviously).
- Deathslinger: Cooldown with aiming or indication.
- Fix the damn hitboxes
Killer:
- Slow down gen speeds with SWF's.
- Aim-dressing: Option to turn on & off.
- Keys: Same treatment as moris, thanks.
- Haddonfield: Needs a rework.
- Survivors should be locked in just like killers (only exception is cosmetics).
If I think of anything else, I'll edit this comment.

Why is the game done? I am thinking of trying it again.
Oh man.. you came back at the worst time. The 4.5.0 update is a mess.
Regardless though, welcome back lad!
-
This community never gets along with eachother in terms of gameplay. It is always:
Survivors: Why shouldn't we BM & genrush you when all you do is camp, slug & tunnel?
Killers: Why shouldn't I camp, slug & tunnel when all you do is BM & genrush?
At the end of the day, camping/slugging/and tunneling is just the killer playing their role, and genrushing is just the survivors doing their objective. People are allowed to play as nice or as much of a jerk as they want.
With that being said, I always try to play nice on both sides because this community desperately needs more of that.
-
The events are usually pretty lame, yeah.
But hey.. new cosmetics I guess😒
-
I personally love the new injured animation because not only do you limp, but sometimes your character will stumble over themselves while running. Definitely more realistic than the old one.
-
Keys should be limited to 1 person imo, that way all 4 survivors would have to bring one if they desperately wanted hatch.
-
If people are concerned about more stuff cluttering up the screen, just implement the emblems in the pause screen so they aren't forced down your throat.
