This means you're not good at this game. I see many killers who play fair and do 4k. Try Harder and chill.
You realize that when Otzdarva, one of the most famous DBD players and considered by many to be the best killer main there is, went up against an optimal SWF group, with a powerful killer, with powerful perks, he only won by tunneling someone immediately?
Let's face it, the Survivor Rulebook for Killers is pretty extensive. Ignoring debate over meta perks and builds, there's nothing that Survivors do that isn't "ok." They can do gens quickly, aggressively unhook, bodyblock, flashy save, pallet save, dumb tech, CJ tech, etc, and no one cares. Genrushing is brought up every once in a while but gets shot down quickly.
If a killer downs the same person twice in a row or stays too near a hook, the community decides it's unfair and flames them.
There's a YT video by a decent killer who explains why he thinks it's OK to tunnel and I honestly couldn't disagree. I usually don't but I mean, I won't flame a killer for their strategy.

By that logic, people would already do that to counter slugging the entire team. Just designate one person to stealth and eventually pick everyone back up. But it doesn't happen. It's almost like relying on one teammate to not get chased isn't possible in this game with the variety of Killers and Perks that can help with tracking. Not to mention the massive disadvantage of having teammate that can't do gens or hook saves (because those actions would risk the Killer finding them).
"Variety of Killers and Perks that help with tracking."
The only Killers with tracking built into their kits are Twins, Doctor, and Legion, if I'm not mistaken, excluding Oni, as you would have to find the survivor in the first place. And hiding in a locker completely negates the tracking of most perks, and Twins and Doctor.
So let's say we have a 4-Man SWF, 3 running this hypothetical perk, and then a 4th, Blendette, with Iron Will, Urban Evasion, Distortion, and Fixated. Good survivors know how to counter BBQ, they would know not to be near gens when they pop in case of Butter Murmur, they wouldn't have to heal, neither themselves not their teammates since their teammates are immortal, so Nurses Calling is out. Wraith and Pig have add-ons that can help but then you're using a subpar killer, and even then it's risky, the final survivor could just calculate how often they need to move and go from locker to locker. Iron Maiden could counter that but it's just an absolutely awful idea.
As a killer main, please Devs, I am begging you, don't make the game more Survivors sided than it already is.

Hey, let's all chill out, they reported on their official Discord server that there are large scale DDOS attacks happening and considering that there are people working from home and stuff, things like this are bound to happen. Let's be chill.

Usually, nah, it's not the worth the effort.
I do have a story, however.
So I'm on Xbox, green rank killer main. At the time, I had just bought Slinger and was trying to learn him. I didn't have good perks so NOED was equipped.
I get a match containing a rank 1 Blendette with Sprint Burst who brought a Farm offering. I barely saw her all game, and when I did see her, she was gone immediately. Not to mention I'm not a good shot so I missed a lot.
Final gen pops and I spot her teabagging me. Probably thought I couldn't hit the shot. I did, luckily, downed them and hooked them. Left, because I'm not that toxic, and they deliveranced. Then I found them trying to hide in the grass at exit gate. I barely manage to down them outside of gate, pick them up, hook them, camp them to death. It was amazing.
The salt after that match was beautiful. They were so pissed I killed them.

This can be a rough game to have fun with.. if you're here to have fun. Vodka is almost required half the time.
What is your build? Strong SWF groups can wreck Hag especially.. between flashlights, meta perks, and 110%; it can be rough.
If you're a dedicated Hag, I'd recommend watching Michi.
My current build is Ruin, Third Seal, Thrill of the Hunt, and (insert any perk here.) Usually that 4th perk is Surveillance or Make Your Choice. Any suggestions?

If you know it's bad match making and you're still learning the game, why do you let it make you feel bad? Most of the time when I play killer, I go into the game assuming I will have unfair match making and just try to work on getting better at something. Focus on that. Make smart plays, work on something specific. It's not about how many kills you get.
What do you think I should work on? I know that as Hag, you're not supposed to loop normally, but somehow it always ends up with me getting outlooped. Should I place traps while chasing? Should I try to get better at chasing itself, as in, play more typical M1 killers? I try to practice mind games but it feels like if I mindgame, they don't try to loop they just run, but if I don't they loop for days.

My least favorite thing is when a killer picks me up and drops me near the hatch and nods yes up and down so I start to crawl towards it then they pick me up again and drop me away from it and keep toying with me until the close the hatch.
And then they let end game collapse kill me. Or sometimes they hook me and hit me on hook if they're smart for more sacrifice blood points.
I don't get these kinds of people because it's purely disrespectful and a waste of time and I don't do anything even remotely douchey as a survivor aside from work on gens (Some killers find this a heinous offense).
I'm not expecting hatch to be given to me by any means but I'm also not expecting to have my time wasted by someone who seems to have a power complex lol.
I've been toxic towards killers a total of once ever.
Last night, I was Bubba on Badham, using the add-on that removes the Chainsaw instadown. There were 2 survivors left, 1 gen.
I patrolled the gens for FIFTEEN MINUTES. Not a single gen was worked on at all and I never saw or heard any sign of survivors. Eventually I came to the conclusion that the game had glitched and removed Survivors so I go to farm points on the other end of the map and BOOM a gen finishes. I find both at the exit gate, unopened, and the Dwight pallet stuns me in a chase then teabags. I down him, go to the Meg who was opening the gate, down her, hook dwight, and facecamp him, hitting him on hook, and once he died I closed the hatch and let the Meg bleed out.
-
I just got a 4K using it and two hadn't been hooked, so.
@[Deleted User] said:
lol now Devour is even more a waste of a perk
Why is Devour a waste? You get a lucky totem spawn and play well and you have permanent one-tap survivors before two gens have popped. Bit more, everyone is Moriable by 2 gens.

You're within 6 ranks of all survivors (who could have been lower ranks before the match began), this isn't bad at all.

Firstly, its important to note that while this seems like a reasonable argument, trying to say 'we shouldn't have bad representation' what it actually does is create an artificially inflated standard on LGBTQ+ characters.
Specifically, a LGBTQ+ character should be able to fill every role a straight, cis character does, and implying that you need to meet certain qualifications to be a 'good' LGBTQ+ character itself is part of the problem: Your trying to force people to justify the existence of queer characters. So lets drop pretense.
You wouldn't bat an eye if a male character mentioned that they had a wife in a story. But if that same male character said they had a husband, you would apply different expectations to the inclusion of that character in attempt to declare that they are 'pandering' or 'forced in' or whatever. Even if they are exclusively there to be a male straight character in a relationship. Like "The Hillbilly's Mom and Dad" are explicit characters in DBD, who SOLELY exist to be a heterosexual couple who abused their child, but no one is saying they are arbitrarily forcing romance into the game. Likewise, Nea isn't Sweedish just to force 'a token Sweed,' despite the fact that Nea being Sweedish has NO impact on the game and is something you would never learn through pure gameplay because it exists entirely in the backstory, its because it would be weird if The Entity was capturing killers from all over the world and across time from all walks of life but mysteriously was only nabbing white American survivors.
In essence, your assuming straight and cis is 'default' or 'regular' or 'normal' (In fact, you pretty much said the quiet part out loud there) which is the entire problem: Because you view straight and cis as 'default' any deviation needs to be justified, that queer people are only allowed to exist 'for a reason' because otherwise you made someone 'not normal' for 'no reason.' When that reason can be as simple as 'queer people exist.'
Gay characters can be as one dimensional as straight characters, they can be as dynamic as straight characters. Their relationship can be all their character is about, just like many straight characters in stories, or it could just be one facet of who they are. All of those should be good and shouldn't result in any increased burden on the creators to justify it. Sometimes people are just gay, or bi, or trans, or nonbinary. Stories can be about the unique issues we face, because in many aspects of our lives our identities can be extremely important to our experiences, or those can be incidental because in many aspects of our lives that identity is incidental. So it isn't even that 'the character doesn't have to JUST be about their sexuality as a flat character' but 'Gay people should be able to be any type of character. Not every character in a story is a dimensional character, in fact most characters in a well written story are flat and non-dynamic, why can't some be gay?' And why can't some dynamic leads be incidentally gay in stories not about being gay?
As to why people specifically want an EXPLICITLY LGBTQ+ character?
Because 'assuming anyone could be gay' isn't equal representation. It is, again, a pretend way to say 'we already have it' when we clearly don't, because characters are confirmed straight all the time. Again, you just internalized it as 'default' so much you can't see how stuff like 'The nurse had a husband' is confirming her to be straight (or at least presents straight, I mean she is from somewhere around WW1/WW2, one could argue she had to marry a man to survive, but its implied her marriage was happy), meaning that its acceptable to reveal the sexuality of characters...
...As long as they are straight.
And yes, these reveals are advancing the story of these characters because your love life informs a lot about you, so they aren't JUST revealing that they are straight, but there is little reason you couldn't do the same for LGBTQ+ characters. It isn't that Nurse should be a Lesbian from the 1920s (It would be hard to make that not the case without seriously altering her background, and it would play into some truly horrific tropes to have the first gay character be a killer driven to madness by the tragedy of being gay), It isn't just that the new survivor had a boyfriend or whatever, maybe their boyfriend got kidnapped by the entity too. Or maybe they got lost on a mountain and they were part of a rescue party and got nabbed. Or any number of potential stories that include people who aren't straight.
If its a worry the character will be one dimensional, they could always make an existing character gay just as part of one of the background bits. Would Meg suddenly become a 'token character' if it was revealed she was into girls, despite all this interesting stuff we know about her like how she is both absurdly driven but at the same time gave up what she was driven about to take care of someone she cared about? Obviously not. So why worry a new character who is gay would 'just' be gay? That is a silly thing to assume and is pretty clearly trying to reduce a reasonable request to a ridiculous one by pretending that what people asked for ("a character who is LGBTQ+") is actually something different and unreasonable ("I want a character who's entire identity is their gay identity").
Also, to be clear, some people do live their life very openly queer and make it visible and a huge part of their identity. And most of those people are ######### awesome people because they chose to do that to make other people safer and to normalize being queer or not conforming to gender expectations that hurt real world people, as well as to create non-traditionally masculine/feminine role models for people who might not have them, or to visibly show them that queer people exist and they aren't alone and that being out is a thing you CAN be. The IRL queer equivalent of being willing to loop the killer to protect green rank baby queers trying to figure themselves out. So if your implying someone with dyed hair and a rainbow pin or whatever is 'making being gay their entire personality' you missed the point. Some LGBTQ+ people wanna be unassuming gen jockeys because it empowers their community, others wanna be loud and proud because it protects their community. Both are freaking rad and no human being has to earn your respect for who they are if who they are has absolutely no bearing on you.
TL;DR: Because straight characters are confirmed all the time and are never questioned for being straight regardless of how 3 dimensional or dynamic a character they are. Any type of character should be possible to confirm for being gay. It isn't just 'oh we don't say explicitly so it could be anyone' because its said explicitly a LOT about straightness.
Excuse me but can we be best friends now because that was badass.

3) were you doing dailies on nurse, plague and pig? didn't seem you mentioned that lol but honestly do what ever you wish.
4) those people telling you noed is controversial are dog crap as well. it's a perk as fair as any other perk. just because the survivors don't like to do gens and want 5 minute games for 10 minutes of waiting doesn't matter noed or not they let noed happen.
and don't get bent up because it lets them win, if they harass/shame you report them.
I wasn't doing dailies on them, but I also played fairly. Nurse I was just playing for the memes, and somehow I almost got 2 kills but I took them to the gate.
Plague I played fairly, but got frustrated due to toxicity from survivors.
Pig I played fairly except for some brief strategic camping when I finally caught the OoO. (I knew survivors were there and I wanted to jumpscare them instead of going for a chase.)
I knew I could only do one more match, so I decided to do a daily, get some BP to level up my Pig.

If your version of fun is trying a 4% chance, go to a casino. I like teammates that play as a team.
If you wanna play only for yourself, don't get mad when I leave you on hook.
Trying to steal the hook save, even if unsuccessful, is a blatant statement that you aren't a team player.
If it's not such a big deal? Why is it such a big deal for you to wait for the unhook instead of getting greedy?
Let them have their fun? Well after watching you unsuccessfully try to save yourself, I have more fun in watching you enter struggle as punishment for your bad decision.
Consequences.
If they're going for the achievement, it makes more sense to to wait for someone to be near.
If you fail, it's ok, they're right there to unhook you.
If they succeed, yay, they Kobe'd, now you get the heal points.

That Iron Maiden idea is incredibly overpowered. Perks like Inner Strength become infinitely riskier.

DC Penalties r just there to annoy. I'm not gonna stay to play against that facecamping Hag just cuz if I leave I get a 15 minute penalty in which I can just switch to overwatch lol
If a hag is facecamping, (which does suck, but I digress,) just suicide on hook. There's no penalty, you get BP, killer gets BP, everyone wins.
The problem with DCs is that it's usually done out of spite. A survivor or killer gets upset by one facet of a match and takes it out on others. As a killer main, I have never once DCed, no matter how toxic the survivors were. People have DCed for so many stupid things while facing me:
I closed the hatch.
I found them first.
I pulled off a sick mindgame.
I found their hiding place.
I was about to hook for the 3rd time.
I was running Franklin's and caused them to lose their key.
I played a certain killer.
I used a certain perk.
-
It's likely just confirmation bias.
-
I think some tweaks are in order. I think the traps aren't nearly scary enough. Right now having a trap on your head is more of a mild inconvenience. They could shorten the timer, or add more penaltys. For example, (I'm not a dev, I know some of these are likely very unbalanced, just some ideas,)
Add a secondary activator for the traps: maybe the timer also starts if the survivor touches any gen.
Traps could inflict Broken on survivors. This makes them way more eager to take them off, and way more likely to be at Jigsaw boxes. Easier patrolling and more pressure for Piggy.
Change the amount of bear traps: it's kinda weird that she has a maximum of 4 without add-ons while other people relying on equipment, such as Trapper and Wraith, have refill options. Make the maximum 3 at a time, with add-ons to make it larger. But after a survivor removes one, the Pig can interact with the Jigsaw box to gain one trap.
When a survivor has a bear trap, people near the trapped survivor are revealed with the Killer Instinct effect. (This would make Sandbagging really easy though.)
Change the walking speed of her crouch: it's next to impossible to hit people with the Ambush since they immediately know you're there, but I like the oinking. Increasing her speed could balance this by making her constantly able to stealth, but her attack is still obvious. Sort of like wraith.

i really like it. i can place traps around the loops near the unblocked gens and set up a web without 1-2 gens popping in the distance.
if i play right i get 2-3 down before the finished the gen or i can pressure them into a point were they are busy with damage control and no one is working on a gen. than i can lower pressure a bit if the survivors are nice.
of course only if i play well...sometimes my traps just dont work and the gens are flying^^
how are u playing hag?
I look at what gens would be effected by Corrupt Purge, assume the Survivors would be around there, and weave my web on a certain area. The reason I don't run Corrupt is because they're usually pushed into my territory before I'm ready. It's sort of like map info without a perk. A gen or two will pop but I'm likely given all the time I need to set up traps without any interruptions. Losing 1 gen means nothing if you have 4 that are untouchable.
You have to be really careful with this strategy though. You absolutely can't overcommit, or else all your hard work is erased instantly. You've got to make sure you have a strong 3 gen, and you have to constantly replace any traps that were triggered.
Granted, I'm only green ranked, I'm sure strats like this get destroyed in higher ranks and yours work much better.

i love playing hag, she can do way more than camping. i just use one trap to force a slower unhook.
when you prep well, you get rewarded with downs in 5 sec.
and most survivors dont really know how to play against her...since hags are rare and most of them just camp or do a daily.
since the trigger radius is bigger then her lunge radius you can destroy her traps somehow save. just dont allow her to set up a web and force her into chases in unprepared areas. at least one person should keep doing this and constantly destroy traps.
while she is carrying someone, the other survivors can destroy everything save.
you can feel very helpless as hag, if the survivors know that.
and avoid the basement like the plague.
my standard build is usually:
no addons, pop, corrupt, save the best for last and dark devotion. works for me but perks like make your choice, sloppy, monitor and totem builds work aswell.
i dont recommend information perks like discordance or bbq... the hag is too slow to react to those perks and your traps work as radar too and you can instantly react to them, if you dont spread out your traps too much. if your early game was bad, i recommend a web around the last 3-4 gens. a 3gen scenario is hell against her.
a good feeling for (not too obvious) trap placements and if survivor dont harass your web, its gg ez even when you play nice and fair.
but like the trapper she is not for everyone. i just really really enjoy trapping and getting rewarded for good placement.
Interesting, I dislike running Corrupt Intervention on Hag. I let them pop a gen or two far away while I make sure anyone who invades my territory is sure to die.

Finally a discussion where I feel home.
Yes she's annoying. Yes she's boring. Yes she should be deleted from the game.
No.
I do my best not to "main," killers, I play with a lot of variety, but Hag was the first killer I got to level 50. Here's why she's fun to play.
1. Her add-ons are extremely game changing. They can completely change her playstyle without crippling her.
2. Her perks are pretty fun and lead to some crazy builds. Ruin/Undying is a boring combo, but if you don't entirely rely on Ruin as your best perks it can be really great. Devour Hope is amazingly fun, denies the Survivors the ability to call you a camper, and can really mess up a survivors day. Third Seal isn't super useful but it can be funny to watch Survivors with aura-heavy builds try to counter it.
3. Her ability is amazing. She's a simultaneously a 110 killer and more mobile than most 115s. Not only can she straight-up deny loops, it's hilarious watching them panic after vaulting a pallet straight into a trap. She's one of the only killers who can benefit from not breaking pallets. Not to mention her ability just gives her great map knowledge.
4. Regardless of what some annoying survivors say, she has solid counterplay. If she's carrying a Survivor, or if you know that she's across the map from you, run through trapped areas. You can destroy a lot of her setup. Or, just use flashlights or crouch.

There is a brief moment during the unhook animation where both survivors are invulnerable for an extremely short amount of time. Always wait until the unhook has completely finished to avoid this period. I.e. wait till the moment both survivors can move again.
As for the no sound indicator for a cleansed hex, that could be a bug. Lots of bugs with this chapter unfortunately.
I've noticed a few. Occasionally I'm not notified when any loud noise happens, such as survivors vaulting (no Q&Q,) Totems cleansed, survivors unhooked, etc.

-Her power is lose-lose for survivors, either stay Broken and constantly be 1 hit away from death, or heal and give her a super powered Bloody Vomit.
-Completely removes the possibility of Insta-Heals and the like.
-If someone is being toxic and you hook them, you can vomit on them for years.
Last night I went up against a Steve who was broken and chose to teabag at gate. (The team was way better than me, I didn't stand a chance, I didn't have a single hook at that point.) Luckily, he was teabagging far enough away that I managed to hit him with Corrupt Purge and pick him up. On hook, I just vomited on him until he died.
After the match, I messaged him and another Xbox player GG. The Steve never responded. However a Meg, his girlfriend apparently, found the situation hilarious and thanked me for vomiting on him. I told her to thank him for mocking me far enough away from gate that I could get him. She found that hilarious too.

The matchmaking sucks, and a lot of the players are mean. I get that people in this thread are trying to help by giving the OP advice to improve their game, so they can do better even if the matches aren't fair, but I think it's a lot to ask of a new player when we tell them to just tough it out while the game constantly sets them up to fail and the other players mock and insult them. The problem isn't really that the OP needs to be better at the game -- the problem is that the game needs to be more welcoming to new players.
That's my main problem. I mean, the matchmaking sucks but the main problem is the toxicity. These red ranks seem to be so ridiculously pleased to be able to bully me.
Today's been better though. I had two rituals to do, hit 4 ambush attacks as Pig, and hit 4 survivors after a teleport with hag. I've played a lot of both Killers but I was out of practice with Pig. Luckily with some oinking I convinced these survivors to let me farm. Then I opened the gates and a Rank 2 David let me sacrifice him.
As Hag, I was outplayed fair and square, only got 3 hits. But at the gates I convinced one to step on my trap by placing it and hitting it, she got the gist and let me do it. Those encounters were wholesome, I liked those.

Even Freddy has to put some thought into where he puts his snares. Bubba really just has to press m2 for insta-down.
Same. He's just so stupid and fun. Usually I play Hag, Pig, or Plague, with some Freddy on the side, but Bubba is hilarious. Plus I like the tantrum scenes from the movies so much that if I'm really getting outplayed I just buzz around the map hitting things.

Hold on, let me check my killer rule book.....
Ok, you need to do gens without completing gens, you need to attempt Cleansing without hitting any of my hexes, you need to unhook your teammates, but only if I'm in the area, you need to drop enough pallets that I can break them for points, but you can't actually use them. You can bring flashlights but you can't use them, you need to constantly wear the brightest outfits, and you can't use exhaustion perks.
In all honesty, as a killer main, all I expect is you to be a good teammate and not be toxic to me. By toxic I mean "intentional BM," not "use a playstyle/perk I don't like."

Hag you can't play a game being crouched all the time
GS, not working, you can't loop more than 30 sec, even in building
PH, he can spam his power and fake it as much as he want without loosing enough speed and without being stun long enough to not directly hit after the fake
Spirit, bug or not, it's now months to not say years that we have a problem with her
There are no counter at all. Pallet looping demands mind game, a lot. Killers have a way to loop to make the chases shorter.
"You can't play a game being crouched all the time."
Urban Evasion. Or, flashlights. Or, look at the ground and avoid traps.
All of these killers have counterplay. Their counterplay is just different than other killers.
Also people trying to say that Deathslinger has no counterplay are ridiculous. If you see him lining up a shot, or you think he might be, or if he exists, find a way to break LoS. It ain't that hard.
-
UGGGHHHHH
Look, I play Killer and Survivor. And MAN this community loves to complain.
Tell me, what are Killer counters against Dead Hard, or Sprint Burst, or Borrowed Time, or Object, SWFs with toolboxes genrushing, instaheals, etc.?
I run into this stuff all the time and I DON'T CARE. It can be annoying on occasion but you take it in stride and move on. It's a fricking game.
As survivor, I die. A lot. It is more common for me to die than it is for me to escape. But I like playing against Deathslinger. He has counterplay. Hag has counterplay. Spirit has counterplay. Pyramid Head? Really? He's not even that hard. Plus, he's fun.
They all have counterplay, including everything I mentioned about survivors. The thing is, it's difficult. Sometimes stuff is difficult. You get used to it. The killers are powerful yes but they're not that bad. And if you lose, take the L and move on. Say GG WP.
Everyone has different playstyles, different killer mains and builds, different survivor mains and builds. I've played against plenty of survivors using all second chance perks. That's fine. I've run into killers running things like NoED and Ruin/Undying. That's fine.
To all the mains of the killers who get complained about often, I'm here to say PLAY WHO YOU WANT.
Spirit is fine. Deathslinger is fine. Hag is fine.
Pyramid Head is fine.
You need to chill.

Yeah I get it bro. The game sucks sometimes. When I get too frustrated I choose a killer and meme. Currently that killer for me is Leatherface. I like his movies, especially his tantrum scenes, so just spamming his ability is hilarious to me.

I think the biggest problem is getting all the perks on even one character because of the increasing number of perks and characters. The perk system was well designed for when there were less killers but it doesn't work too well these days. I'm fine with perk tiers but being able to get more perks in level 50 bloodwebs would be nice. Items and that are fine though i've almost got too many of those.

Personally I feel that a good way to reduce the grind would be to alter the teachables systems. If you grind to level 40 on Hag, you shouldn't have to keep grinding to use Devour Hope on other killers. Once a teachable is unlocked, make it available in the inventory of all your killers.

After a survivors been hooked twice eliminate their ability to work on gens
After a killer has chased you for 20 seconds (tunneling) they get a speed decrease and cool down for 5 seconds
Lol what.
Chasing for more than 20 seconds isn't tunneling. What if the survivor is just a good looper? What if they're the last survivor? What if everyone else is just really sneaky and good at avoiding you? It's only tunneling if they're consistently the only person you chase.
Also, why the heck would you have survivors not be able to do gens? Then killers could just hook everyone twice and boom, the round is over. Or heck, a few early hooks and the survivors are screwed.

Playing bad survivors won't help you improve. You gotta take the hits and learn from your mistakes.
That's kind of a stupid way of looking at it. If I want to get good at Mortal Kombat, I don't start by playing against pros. I play with people of my skill level, get better, move on.
People who complain about matchmaking aren't upset because they aren't getting easy 4Ks or escapes, they're complaining because it's not even close. You don't learn basketball by 1v1ing Lebron James, you play against people of similar skill levels and gradually get better.

I'm finding more and more that I am getting put into matches with red rank killers (usually rank 1 or 2) when I myself am only a rank 7 survivor. Because their gameplay is so much more advanced than mine, I'm finding it really unenjoyable (it's at a point where I wonder why I still actually play the game... and I think it's more because of the money I spent than the enjoyment I get from it!). Does anyone else feel like the matchmaking is completely out of whack, or am I just overreacting?
First, as a killer main, thanks so much for not just blaming the killers. (Most) killers are just like you, they want to have fun.
Yeah, the matchmaking completely sucks, and as a new player it's making it really hard to have fun. I watched Otz's video, and it helps to an extent, but I'm definitely really frustrated, after my 3rd match in a row with no Sacrifices. (The one before that, someone DCed and I used a Mori on one person for a time thingy, then took pity on the other two and let them do gens.)
I understand that I'm a new player, and it'll take time, but it would at least be better if the playerbase was a little more forgiving. If they just took the W and got out, I would be a little frustrated but whatever. But when it feels like they go out of their way to make me feel like garbage every match, when they've probably got hundreds, if not thousands of hours more than me, with all the best perks, a map offering, and Insta Heals, and I'm just trying to learn Hag, it's so frustrating.
I understand that I'm the reason I'm losing. I need to get better. I'm making mistakes. I should've committed to the chase instead of getting distracted. I should've placed this trap here instead of there. I should've protected totems better. I should've attempted to build a 3 Gen. But it's like the high-rank players I'm put against recognize that I'm new and think it's the funniest thing ever.
I honestly think the matchmaking is non-existent. There's been one rank reset since I started playing. I was around 18 after the reset. I'm now Rank 12. The only difference I've noticed is that when there would be a green rank in my lobby, they're purple rank, which is interesting because if people have been playing as much as me that means that the green ranks I was paired with as a yellow would be purple now. I'm often put against red ranks, and the occasional rank 20 obviously worse than me.

You already said it.
Toxic.
Other than that survivors and killers could attempt to justify it with, "you tunnelled so I bagged you at exit" or, "you bagged me at a pallet so I slug you"
Toxic behavior doesn't justify toxic behavior.
As a killer, I have only slugged to death one time.
I've played enough survivor to know how much it sucks to have bad teammates. One round, there was a guy that I never saw once till everyone else was dead. He never unhooked. He was never on gens. The team seemed to be down a player. The team struggled, they only got two gens done before 2 were sacrificed and one was on hook.
So after putting that third person on hook I left. I thought maybe they were being stealthy but still playing.
Wrong. They were hiding the whole match. The person went from first hook to dead, without suiciding, without getting unhooked. As soon as they died, I luckily found hatch and closed it. I ran to the exit gate and found them there. They had been hiding the WHOLE TIME. So I slugged him. That's the only time I've done that. It ticks me off that someone can be so selfish as to not help teammates at all for the entire match.
Besides that, I play fair. No face camping, no hitting on hook, no slugging without tactical reasons, no teabagging on crouchable killers. And if I'm getting stomped, I take the L, say GG WP, and move on.
Most survivors I face on the other hand....if I get stomped, I don't go to exit gate. I just don't. That's negativity I don't need. I stand in a corner and check my phone until they get the message and leave. Just a while ago I got a Rank 2 Nancy absolutely murder my rank 13 ass and teabagged at gate like they accomplished something. Great job, you beat someone who's been playing less than a month. Whoop-de-freakin-doo.
-
To be fair, gens are the primary focus of the game. I'm curious how many these add up to:
The amount of perks survivors have for gens.
The amount survivors have for healing.
The amount killers have for chasing.
Also, some of those barely even register. Things like Discordance and Surveillance help find survivors, not slow down gens. There's not many other ways to track survivors. If a survivor is likely to be at a gen, perks like that help you whittle down where they are.
-
As killer I have a bit of a bad habit of camping. I don't facecamp, and if I feel that it's more beneficial I'll chase, but I like to be in the same area as my hooked survivor, unless I'm running DH or MYC.
It's not that I want to, it's like, instinctive. I know that the second I leave they'll be unhooked, so I find it hard to leave.

Dude don't take the "bullying" in a game so seriously and personally. None of these people know you, and you don't know them. So stop taking it so personally.
On a side note, how in the hell can survivors "bully" a killer? I mean I remember my first times playing Blight, I got that swampy map with boats and tall grass. I was getting jukes left and right, survivors would heal each other around me and body block/rescue each other.
I felt frustrated as hell. I guess that's considered "BULLYING". BUT those were my FIRST TIMES WITH BLIGHT. After I got better at him and at the game in general, I can also give what these cocky bastard survivors deserve.
No matter what killer I play (Oni, Nurse or Blight) I cant be "bullied" anymore without giving them what they deserve (killing them).
Basically, a killer should never ever be bullied in the end UNLESS you are just a BAD PLAYER. Sorry but that's the truth.
Are.....are you victim blaming someone?
As far as I can tell your post boils down to "oh, you're getting bullied? Git gud." That's never helped anyone or added anything to a discussion.
Survivors can bully. Teabagging constantly, pointing at the killer, flashlight spamming, loud noise spamming, these are all toxic things survivors do to make fun of killers. I'm not saying killers can't also be bullies, I've seen a few really toxic killers, but survivors can do it too. If you smurf into a new players lobby and spend half your time teabagging, you're just being toxic and you need to look at yourself.

Okay so looking at the perks you have unlocked, if you don't mind, can I suggest a build for you to use? If you wanna play some Mikey I'd honestly suggest Corrupt and Infectious- both from Plague, another killer you have- Save The Best For Last (one of Mikey's own perks), and Sloppy Butcher (a universal killer perk). You'd wanna pop your T3 on your obsession to save stacks on STBFL, use Infectious Fright to track close-by survivors for some easy snowball and ensure they can't flashlight save by hiding nearby, sloppy to make it easier to down them (as they'll be injured more which, vs a Michael in T2, is not good) or waste time healing (when you can just pop your T3), and Corrupt to shrink the map, making it easier to get out of T1.
Save The Best For Last is also amazing on Pig- from the Saw chapter- and Freddy- from the NMOES chapter.
I've got all those perks unlocked for Mikey boy, I already use Corrupt. I tried using Infectious but it didn't seem to work too well, they were almost never inside my terror radius. Sloppy Butcher I've been considering, exactly how much does it delay the healing process?
Currently I'm running PWYF and Iron Grasp alongside my STBFL and Corrupt. PWYF gets me a nice speed boost that helps end chases quickly. Which perks should I swap out?

franklin demise is a fun perk against them. bamboozle have worked greatly with the shack. I understand how things are going, but these perks might help.
The problem is that those perks are from killers I don't have. The DLC I have is the Pig chapter, the Freddy chapter, the Halloween chapter, and the Plague.
-
I feel you bro. Yesterday I went up against a smurf team who bullied me so hard I decided to take a break from the entire game. They infinited me at shack and spent so much time teabagging but I still couldn't kill them. And of course, they were a 4-Man SWF all running DS and Adrenaline. I didn't stand a chance. It wasn't my fault I was put in that lobby, I've only been playing for like a month and I play other games too.
Like, all I want to do is practice with Myers, (who I bought 2 days ago btw,) and level up. I'm not rude, I don't tunnel, I only camp in extreme situations, I use Moris very sparingly, and I don't make fun of Survivors. I don't understand why people have to act like this.

Pig with Evil Within.
Long as heck lunge, crouching, possible zero terror radius at all times, and stalking while hiding in a bush.
