itll be like any other game, you learn how to play. new killers cant start and expect to be amazing but the more they play the better they will get.
As a new player who was already having a hard enough time being Killer with all the Survivors who seem to think it's the funniest thing in the world to make fun of a new killer, it actually really messed me up. I was finally starting to learn how to chase, how to get better, how to get kills, and then they remove Bloodlust and I'm getting infinited at shack and teabagged the whole dang match.
This game already has a pretty steep learning curve, really toxic players, and horrible, abusable matchmaking. I don't see why it should get any harder for new players like me. It seems pretty annoying. "Oh, you thought you were getting kinda good? No more bloodlust, ######### you and your family."

DC penalty is good. Unless you're repeatedly Facing basically every match your penalty won't go above 3 minutes. Check your email or something. Better than before the penalty, where if I looked at a survivor the wrong way that DCd and made me feel bad for every other Survivor and usually just give them a win.

ofc, you can tunnel all four survivors at once and face DS four times in a row because of it /s
In regards to how you play, the most important thing is to keep in mind how you would feel playing the opposing role and avoid doing (within reasonable limits) actions that you wouldn't like being done to you. The terms and definitions being thrown around in places such as these have their usages, but knowing them well so soon doesn't do too much (other than make you sound informed). Most importantly, don't let another player who may or may not be frustrated at the errors and bugs (rather than being frustrated at your playstyle) in the game override your internal guiding compass.
Thanks. I just know how toxic the community can be and I try really hard to make sure people have fun. So when I do stuff like that to try and win, I feel bad.

I can definitely say, every single game I play with console players goes badly. Statistically speaking, you are wrong. Player base was much smarter before Cross Play. But its all a coincidence, right?
You know, the funny thing is that I've seen someone from almost every single console say this. With the exception of maybe Switch but I haven't met anyone who plays on Switch. They probably don't exist. (JK jk)
I don't attribute this to cross play. I attribute it to people simply being unsure. As a Survivor, I'm constantly unsure of what I should be doing. I'm wondering if it's worth it to risk leaving this gen to go unhook. Should I prioritize finding a heal or gens? Should I try to find the Ruin totem or just suck it up and do the gens?
I think we need to focus less on the fact that we have people from other consoles in our lobbies, and more on the education that this game sorely lacks. There's no real way for people to learn in game. We need an offline training mode, for both Survivor and Killer, and we need to fix matchmaking.

Hi, Killer here who likes to play somewhat casually, but occasionally tryhards.
It really depends on the match and my current mood. Last night, the first guy I downed immediately DCd and the second one suicides on hook. I decided to farm and had some fun with the Claudette and David. They did gens, the David farmed pallets with me, and after the exit gates were open, the David tried to get me to sacrifice him.
Yesterday morning, there was a match that was really well played with a Yui who pulled some clutch Dead Hards and was very fun to play against. After I sacrificed everyone else, there was one gen left. I let the Yui finish and helped them escape. After the match, the guy invited me to a party. He was definitely a little kid and he was thanking me for letting him escape. I could tell it made his day, and I like being that guy who makes people happy.
But sometimes I'm in a bad mood and I want to let off steam. Sometimes the Survivors are teabagging after every pallet. When that happens, I get a bit upset and I go full on murderhobo. I do use Mori's whenever I get them, regardless of mood, but I don't tunnel, and I try to make sure everyone has fun.

Personally I think I really good rework could be for teachables. Once you grind a character long enough to collect their teachables, you shouldn't have to grind to get them again. Instead, I propose that once you gain a teachable, it's automatically in the inventory of every survivor/killer. After I got Inner Strength to teachable, I had to get Tapp to level 35 before I found it again. That's a bit stupid.
Also, the teachables should all be T3 by default once you've got it. This way the only ones you need to grind multiple times 4 are not personal perks. That drastically reduces the amount of perks in the pool, making it easier to grind.

Or, here's a tip: Stop being so sensitive to pixels going up and down. Like, good god. Someone T-Bags and you camp them to death? That's just childish imo. Grow a pair and stop being so triggered over something that has zero impact on a game.
Look at it this way. Them teabagging when they could be running is them saying "haha you can't catch me, I'm so cocky that I'm wasting time." If they do that, they're asking for trouble. So might as well give it to them.

The Witch? Who's the witch? There's like, millions of witches. Hermione Granger, perhaps?

wen i have a mori i only use it for the toxic players or if it is the end and i am running out of options
I take Moris if I feel like it. The matchmaking is so horrible I usually only get one or two anyway.

Here is the thing, you need to toss out that book, you know... the Survivor's Rules for Killers. Who put these silly notions of what is "clean" and what isn't in your head. The only thing you have to do to play in a sportsmanlike way is:
- Don't cheat, either by hacks or lag spikes.
- Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
- Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
That's it. When you are in a match you play hard, give 100%. If that means you sometimes have to camp, tunnel, slug, or Mori... you do so. There is nothing "dirty" about those tactics. They are all valid and have been given a clean bill of health by the DEV countless times. What I would say is that they are niche tactics, and when used wrong will hurt you more than help you. When used correctly and in balance with proper Gen-Pressure, herding, and hooking in the right places, will win you games.
So yes, you are correct, playing the game wearing ankle weights and with your hands tied behind your back will get you nowhere.
Keep in mind this applies to both sides as well. Imo any build is fine. Earlier I lost a 4K to an obvious DS that I missed. I didn't rage that he was using DS. I sent him a message saying GG, he thanked me, said I did well. Pleasant.
Toxicity breed toxicity. Play whatever you want, just don't be rude about it.

It's more the fact that they're both terrible Killers no matter how good you are with them. You give Steve Vai a guitar full of holes with shot pickups, a broken neck, and strings made of shoelace, it's gonna sound awful.
Why are you still talking?

As an anti-tunnel perk, nobody cares and in fact thinks it is good and should retain that power. The problem is that the survivor gets to go do a gen for 60 seconds near a locker and be completely invulnerable. I have 2 options. I either let that survivor do that gen for 60 seconds, and all likelyhood complete the gen, or i camp the locker. While i camp the locker, the other 3 survivors do gens.
This means the optimal play for the killer is to let the survivor do the gen. Now, blow that up to, all 4 survivors having this perk. And lets be fair and say they get 45 seconds of immunity because they have to run to a gen.
45 * 4 = 180 seconds.
180 seconds is enough time to fully complete 2.25 generators.
Now add in that killers typically lose the first gen or 2 because there is no pressure at the start of the match and too many gens to patrol. And you realize that survivors being able to complete 1/3 of their objective simply due to 1 perk is not balanced. The problem with DS is not its anti-tunnel properties, those are good. The problem is that it allows survivors to use it offensively to dive a hook unsafely with BT, or to power through a gen they have no business doing.
If you have time to start repairing a gen, cleansing a totem, or heal/get healed by another survivor, you aren't being tunneled.
Realistically here is how DS should be:
Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.
After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 20/25/30 seconds.
If you repair a generator, cleanse a totem, heal another survivor, or are healed by another survivor for 1 health state, the perk deactivates. During a chase, the countdown timer stops and the perk remains active. This can be used multiple times in a match.
While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check
to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.
- Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.
- Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.
Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
Best rework idea I've seen yet.

" i play legion, pig, bubba and slinger mostly with a sprinkle of clown somewhere"
And all of these Killers are incredibly unfun to go against. Legion and Clown are impossibly basic and beyond unintuitive, Pig players go past "sweaty" and transcend to the realm of "narcissistic personality disorder" and Slinger is just... he wins chases for free.
I'd be more upset if I heard people DIDN'T kill themselves against you because that would mean they're fine with these Killers being in the state they are.
As a pig player and someone who plays both Survivor and Killer....pigs ain't that bad. I play Pig ridiculously casually. I mess around, try to get them to boop the snoot, maybe run some fun mind games. If I'm really trying to win, I don't even sweat, I just stealth a lot and patrol Jigsaw boxes a ton.
Posts like that are idiotic. Imo every killer is fun to play against, as long as the Killer isn't camping, tunneling, or being annoying (like teabagging Ghostfaces.)

I don't understand toxicity. I had a match as killer earlier, got put against a red rank SWF, (I'm rank 14.) They made fun of me all match and teabagged me at the gates. I was ranting and raving, cussing at them, the devs, myself. Opened the Xbox menu, went to "recently played with," clicked one, hovered over the text bar...
"Gg."
No matter how mad I am I can't bear to voice it. I wanted to be an #########. I couldn't.

DS ain't that bad bro. I'm a killer main and DS isn't that big of an issue.

Hold on...if your relatively new how would you know that this Halloween event is bad compared to others or if the game is buggy?
1. I first started playing before the Freddy rework, took a long break.
2. A game is obviously buggy, whether or not you've played it before.
3. I pay attention to what people say.

I really dislike people throwing out all the valid criticism with, "yelling and screaming" or pretending it's all toxic, instead of a lot of legitimate complaints with the occasional toxic take.
I'm not throwing it out. If you really have a problem, make your voice heard. But the basic lack of civility people have is astounding. I can say, "hey Devs, I think perhaps Ghostface is a bit strong, maybe scale him down a bit," without saying, "devs absolutely do not care about us, if you play Ghostface you're literal cancer, go #########, devs should all be fired," yada yada yada.
I have my problems with the game. But I've played a lot of online games, and DBD is easily the most toxic I've ever played. If you aren't having fun, stop playing. It's what I did with F13.
