The reason I’ve never cared for Moris in this game is because most of the animations look boring. For instance, Wraith and Trapper look like they are spanking the survivor. Of course the they have been stepping up their game with the most recent ones so maybe they can revisit the older animations. They need to be more dramatic, perhaps even be able to hear the survivor screaming from the other side of the map.
The other part of me feels like once I’ve seen the animation I’m just bored and would rather chase that survivor (as it is the funnest part of the match for me) than take them out quick and as a result ending the match sooner.
I also feel that for me killing someone with a Mori should grant the killer some sort of temporary effect/reward if the mori was performed under certain conditions. I think it would add an interesting aspect to them.
-
I’ve literally seen Blendettes DC when they get the Ormond map. XD
-
Wait so the perk still gives exhaustion? Just doesn’t activate unless you crouch?
-
This perk needs to shine in EGC. Considering how awful it is now and the challenges the last survivor has to face.
While this idea sounds nice, I would rather it be something that has to do with opening the gates.
-
@RoKrueger I mean you have a Freddy Icon, and a Freddy name... are we to assume you're not the one in disguised as a survivor main?
Also, gens get done too fast, but its not for the same reasons, and doesn't happen in every match.
Map Pressure, Toolboxes, Tunneling Etc. All play a part in this.
-
The sad part is that you get these bad survivors almost in every match.
This is why SWF is a thing. At least you know you can trust someone to make an attempt at saving.
-
DS Is Fine.
-
So you want to punish survivors for playing risky because technically injured = 1 shot.
Survivors who heal are neither confident enough to loop without getting hit right away or are inexperienced and don't play around priorities during a match.
Why on earth would you incentivize playing safe vs playing risky?
-
While I dont condone toxic behavior, but as others have said, you will most likely find it in these type of games.
Camping and Slugging?
Take it up with the developers. They have literally created perks that encourage those two... don't like seeing it too much? Well many killers aren't good at anything else so they heavily rely on them, and the ones that don't still use them because they can become a good strategy in the event that you got survivors being ultra altruistic.
-
I love how OoO only seemed to become a problem after Ghostface.
I never even see anyone running this perk that much, and especially now that the Ghostface phase has kind of died down.
-
As a Wraith main, I feel like his cloak should do more.
Maybe something like rendering other objects invisible... things like gens that aren’t being worked on and pallets, (temporarily) I don’t know if this would make him too OP I just really feel like his main power doesn’t shine during endgame. You cloak to try to catch up to someone but are too slow to get a down.
-
Dead Hard because it’s not only good to get to a pallet when you needed that extra second but it completely negates the hit even when they’re standing in front of you.
-
Well we know her add ons are getting looked at so... devs seem to have a different opinion.

Probably because it isn't best case scenario.
Everyone that finished tutorial knows objective and if they hold M1 by the gen, they will finish it.
You can't expect mechanics for force people to actually fulfill their objective, if they don't want to ... well, nothing can be done.
Best case scenario: One survivor gets chased by the killer at a time and everyone else works on a different gen = all gens get finished below 3 minute mark.
If we look at most killers they don't have enough time to do anything in that time and I'm not talking about the players but different killers simply have no means to do anything.
@theArashi Let me explain a little.
What I mean by "Best Case Scenario" is that I see a lot of people suggesting these "Secondary Objective" ideas, and are only going by the number of minutes it takes to repair a generator. There is more to it than that.
Obviously you can't simply go by these statistics because provided the killer does what they are suppose to and applies pressure, that gen will take longer. This isn't even accounting for other obstacles, like if the killer has perks that slow down generator repairing (Hex Ruin, PGTW, Thana etc.).
You also forget that some killers tunnel and camp as well. This will obviously benefit the survivor trying to complete their main objective, because the killer is focused on one target leaving 3 survivors free to do anything.
Like I said, I just hope that if one day the devs decide to add another "side" objective, they think long and hard about what an average match looks like vs what everyone thinks an average match looks like. Not every match is the same, nor can be predicted. Even with a mori, people think matches will be very short, but if the team plays it right, it could end up being a longer match than you thought.
-
Why is it that every time these “we need a secondary objective” threads come up you are only showcasing the BEST case scenario for a survivor?
I think by now everyone knows that this isn’t the case AT ALL in every game. More than half of the matches I have encountered (unless I’m playing with friends) Hardly anyone wants to touch a gen, and especially if the killer has Ruin.
I really hope that if the developers are reading these types of suggestions they won’t just throw in a secondary objective for the sake of making the match last longer, or because someone said matches are “too short”. There should be a fun aspect to it, but also keep in mind that you can’t predict the length of every match even while knowing how long repairing takes.
-
@ HorsePower I’m with you on this one.
Let people play and communicate with their friends and stop posting the same thread every week.

Why do you want Gold Feng when you could have Bunny Feng? :D

Most people who actively use ruin dont understand why they are using it. Everyone has told them it is necessary as a killer to use ruin, but why? Because Ruin stops gen rushing? No incorrect.
Ruin is good simply to delay time for specific killers who need set up time or take awhile to do stuff. Trapper and Hag being huge examples.
Genrushing seems to be a overly used terms by bad killers who see anyone do the objective of doing the gens. There are specific set ups and builds for gen rushing yet I have see people without a single one of these be called genrushers. Just because they use proper game experience to get back on a gen instead of wandering around like a new player.
Ruin prevents killers from learning to apply proper pressure in the games on generators and survivors in general. Instead they assume Ruin will cover that up and they can chase the survivors like a rabid dog. Not everyone is like this of course, but a lot of people who use Ruin do in fact use it to cover the flaw of them being bad at applying pressure on multiple fronts.
I agree with this.
I've literally had killers accuse my team of "You only won cuz you genrushed"...when I didn't even see them once during the match. (I don't play stealthy btw).
Just think it's hilarious, when are survivors going to start using the term "hook rush" lol

When killers go up against a pack of randoms and annihilate them, everything is balanced to them. They say it's the survivors' fault for not working as a team. When the survivors a swf and work as a team, then these same killers cry swf is unfair.
Exactly.
The double standard is real around these forums.
-
@Lmronby Nice trolling. Does it make you feel better?
-
@MrsPiggyisSoSneaky What are you even going on about? I never said that SWF is balanced because there are more solo teams. That doesn't even make any sense.
-
@PoisonN I mean there are more people who play Huntress than that at rank 1, so...
-
@PoisonN I have seen killers in red ranks stomp on SWF groups. One being the one in your own icon.
@Kebek I've never disagreed that there is a clear advantage in SWF vs Solo Surviving. The balance I find in SWF is from my own experience in Solo surviving. I'm not even talking about perk coordination or communication, I'm talking about using time properly, and survival efficiency throughout the match.
-
@PoisonN You really believe SWF kills EVERY strategy that a killer can have?
What does that say about the killers who stomp on SWF groups? They just got lucky?
Also, not every SWF group brings all those things you mention. I am only speaking from experience, because my friends refuse to go into a match with randoms that are likely to DC. Thats why I even brought it up.
For myself, I will go into a match expecting it. They'll have names like Nurse = DC, Mori = DC, you can often tell the ones that will DC. That's not even surprising at this point. Hence why many survivors feel the need to play sweaty.
-
@SunderMun So in Season 1 the show takes place in 1980 (She is 12 Years old), in Season 3 the show takes place in 1985 (She is now 17).
You can search it up. Actually the show tells you what year it is in the first episode.
-
@Grim said:
So, because solo queuing sucks, SWF is fine. I love that logic.
Well, Wraith sucks, so Nurse is fine, right? No.
You're comparing two different things there, but thanks for the input.
Consider yourself lucky as a Wraith that you are not dependant on someone else tilting the scales during a match. You would be making the same argument.
-
@PoisonN said:
I'm not trying to start a figtht but you really think that the reason some people are playing in SWF is because of DCS? I've been victim of a lot of DCs against SWFs and I wasn't even camping or tunneling nobody. They stay mad for no reason!
I won't deny that solo survivor can be one of the worst experiences (dcs, less comunication) in this game but SWF will NEVER be balanced.
@PoisonN Considering the amount of DC's , yeah I do believe that. I believe that many people who play with their friends don't do it because of the comms, they do it because of the reliability that you have in SWF.
It doesn't matter the reason they do it, or why they stay mad. It makes the solo survivor experience unbalanced.
-
@Tzeentchling9 said:
So, it's fine to use SWF to cover up your mistakes, when the game is balanced around Killers being able to capitalize on Survivor mistakes?
It's about playing optimally... (i.e. getting rescued at the right times, not just crouching behind a tree when the killer isn't even on you, but actually working on gens) Lately the way the game has been going, I don't trust that random players will do any of those things.
I never once said SWF teams play perfect, you can still "capitalize" on mistakes, I only said that they are balanced considering my experience in matches with random survivors.
-
@Lumi83 said:
not to mention.. survivors get no points for the DCs, but the killer does... how is that fair? solo surviving is a nightmare.. and will be until DCing is punished like other online games.
@Lumi83 Yeah, I wasn't even going to mention points for the sake of just keeping the discussion about SWF, but you're absolutely right.
-
I just think it's weird that rather than reworking her core problem (maps +loop structures) they went with a lullaby buff?
-
@Yamaoka I agree 100% I've even felt myself chasing too long, and all of a sudden I hear gens pop. Of course it makes a TON of difference when people bring boxes is when I notice it the most.
-
@Yamaoka I don't know why your comment made me laugh so hard LOL xD
-
Honestly, I don't mind it.
I think there are some killers who have really bad endgame (Wraith, Trapper) whose powers really become useless.
Also I feel that if you're in a survivor team who brought 4 toolboxes and didn't bother to use some of that time you saved by using boxes to cleanse one totem, then you can't really complain.
-
Lol "Gen Rush" issue
I've never heard any dev even use that term. Everybody knows that chasing and hooking aren't your only objective, but applying map pressure too.
-
@SunderMun Eleven is actually 17 in the show. Same age as Quentin in Nightmare on Elm Street.
-
Aww why no love for Jeff :\
Survivor: Quentin (Have you seen his face? O.O Jk, I just have no interest in him)
Killer: Legion, I find him tedius to play as.
-
@Salty_Huntress I mean, Quentin, Laurie, Ash are all main characters. So I don't see where this would be a problem.
Stranger Things Season 3 takes place in 1985, where she is already 17 years old. They could even make her older if they wanted to.
-
@Lidenis Oh wait, S3 is 5 years later, that would make Eleven 17 in Stranger Things season 3.
And yes Quentin is 17 in Nightmare on Elm Street.
So maybe there is hope!
-
@AetherBytes Thanks for confirming that my eye sight is bad...
making a eye doctor appt, brb.
-
I am hoping for a teen version of Eleven but that's my daydreaming lol
-
You need to chill and get with the program.
Toxicity exists on both sides. You get T-Bagged at the same time a Killer is Nodding at camping a survivor for doing absolutely nothing.
-
Blendette Rises from the Ashes!
-
No thanks.
As it is Solo Surviving sucks therefore SWF does not need a nerf.

Tunneling is one of counters to gen rush why it should be punished?Ridiculous
@Slayer Are you even serious with this comment?
This "Gen Rushing" as you call it, is 99% of the time the result of you tunneling one target. What do you expect the rest to do? Wait for you to get better at catching the one player?
Countering would be efficiently hooking multiple survivors so that other survivors have to go and save (i.e. giving them a reason to pause on their main objective).
The devs never said DS was strictly an anti-tunneling perk. It works as such, but it isn't meant to only work for that. Adapt.
It fine as it is.
-
Solo surviving is the reason why SWF is balanced.
I bring BT in almost all my matches because that's how bad it has gotten, but every single time (never fails) some genius gets there first without BT.... mind you I don't even care that much about the points, but I just want to give that person a chance. I even tell them I am running BT in the lobby so they know I have it, they still don't care. By which point the person being tunneled dc's because they were unhooked right infront of the killer.
-
You're probably bad without prayer beads. It's ok, we'll keep your secret.
-
They could make a "teen" Eleven, I think she would be cool as survivor.
-
@AStupidMonkeyy Again. They didn't elaborate further, but I was correcting OP for mentioning the wrong information, because the gens can be slowed down in the dream state.
There has to be some balance...which is why add ons is the way to go. We'll wait and see they did say that some things will change from what they showed, but everyone seems to want to jump the gun.
-
Maybe they should make a kill all button that if a survivor doesn't wake up within the first minute everyone dies.
Maybe that will make Freddy a "lethal" killer and one that OP seems to overdramatically seek.
