@Gardenia I mean, I don’t know.. when I first started playing the game was scary partly because I wanted to hide (since I didn’t know what to do) Now that I’ve gotten better at looping I have a better understanding that it is also a survival game, and in most cases surviving also means running away from the thing that wants to kill you.
To get rid of looping would mean getting rid of the adrenaline factor that you experience as a survivor... and for some people that is where they have the most fun (myself included) if anything I feel like that game needs to evolve. Or we will continue to see the same mechanics over and over.
-
As it is, people that play “stealthy” do next to nothing in the matches I have been in. To enforce it would just mean that many people would not want to touch a gen. So it’s a no from me.
Also, I don’t agree that loops are unbalanced when you take into consideration that killers bloodlust at the loop anyway. So they will catch up.
-
BBQ n Chili makes it VERY easy for a killer to find a survivor.
I never used to use it because I liked to be able to find survivors without a tracking perk, but after using it for the first time I can see why people opt to use it. It saves you the time to go find a survivor, which is a big deal.
-
Yeah, I think they thought they would keep it consistent, but honestly I just think "Ghostface here?" whenever I hear it.
Now you hear it anytime the exposed status goes off... they need to revert it back.
-
Yeah that's insane. There is an obvious distance between the two of you.
Meanwhile, I'm being chased by Spirit who looks much closer to me that that Freddy to you and misses the hit:

After a few experiences with 3 Blink Nurses having NO ED, I'll believe anyone will.
Killer doesn't mean anything... usually if they are bad, I'll assume they have NO ED.
Pretty much only agree with your last statement.
-
I don't know what is different about his lunge than any other killer, but it definitely feels like some hits are a bit of a stretch and questionable.
-
@SenzuDuck Lmao I was thinking the same thing then read your response to that.
Double standard at it's best.
@Chickenchaser There is at least 3-4 SWF threads pop up every single week. Asking for SWF to be punished one way or another. Something that doesn't need to be punished for reasons that have already been stated a thousand times.
-
I think he needs an ability to cloak pallets, and maybe other objects (temporarily).
-
I don’t know why the devs just don’t close threads like this one. Same with “ goodbye” threads. This is why these type of threads are against the rules in other games.
Make a FAQs put it on there, close the thread and ban for creating new ones. It’s pointless to even argue SWF. It’s not going anywhere. Toxic people exist on both sides. Just because you’re soloing doesn’t mean the killer will be much nicer to you.
-
No thanks.
-
@Laakeri Yeah I can’t wait until bloodlust isn’t a thing anymore.
-
Someone unplug her mic, quick!
-
@Aven_Fallen I've seen Freddies still bringing No Ed and Camping. Dunno what's really different.
-
For some reason I’m not digging it too much but I like the detail on it.
Don’t know why they always try to hide her face.
-
I mean if you think it’s a bug why not post it in the bugs section?
-
I’ve never liked playing as or against Legion and here is why: The mending mechanic.
Facing him as a survivor and having to mend every time he hits you while in Frenzy is probably one of the least fun aspects about this character. It feels like a chore rather than “I am in danger so I better mend soon.”
At this point I would even take “go search for a special medkit in order to not go into dying state” just something different.
I never cared for his aesthetic but if the gameplay was actually made fun I would probably dig it more.
-
“You’ll die on your first hook anyway”
LMFAO this could not be more true.
-
Some people don’t care about the killer having BBQ, they have other priorities.
If im on a gen and I don’t mind being chased, I will commit to the gen. Unless you mean the ones that crouch and hide while BBQ is revealing their location.
-
Im sure there are people who would enjoy a feature like that.
I wouldn’t be opposed to it.
-
I can see them toning down her blinks.
-
Honestly, sometimes I feel like people confuse “toxic” with “being upset at a loss”.
I’ve had people tell me my build is toxic as killer , or that my syringe was toxic as survivor. Both of which are part of the game.
I’ve learned as both killer and survivor that it’s ok to get angry, it’s ok to feel like you could have done a better job. It’s all part of life.
When I feel like people need to chill and take a break is when people cross the line and start name calling and telling people to injure themselves. That’s obviously not cool.
-
Just introduce a mechanic that will let the killer position the totem in allowable areas (same as setting traps).
Easy fix.
I understand why it works the way it does but some spawn areas are pretty laughable. Like they might as well have a spotlight shinning down on them.
So either allow killers to set their own totem OR revise every possible spawn location and idk out a bush or something next to it.
-
As others have said if they deliberately put themselves infront of you, they want to use their DS. Just slug them.
-
This perk has been there for how long?
Never did I see a post about it until post Ghostface.
Adapt.
-
As if Adrenaline actually needed a nerf.
-
But you can still hear survivors' grunts as it is. This just makes it easier to make out.

Adrenaline is just as much of a cause as it is a reward, so I'd like to see it changed. People say it's a reward for completing gens, but I'd argue that entire team isn't hammering gens while injured if they don't all have Adrenaline, and thus the gens might not get done in the first place if they actually took the time to heal throughout the game. Any health state before death hook doesn't matter because gens are repaired at the same speed and you escape the same way whether you've been hooked twice or zero times.
Yeah but you also forget that the reason some people hardly touch gens might be because the killer has been right up their behind the entire time, or they have been making saves when others wouldn't dare go near a hooked survivor.
No one is saying that in order for Adrenaline to work you must touch a gen, everyone has a role in a match, it would be stupid to expect every single survivor to work on gens. That isn't their only objective. Which brings me to my final point... some of those people who aren't working on gens usually keep the killer occupied and usually die before the perk can even work.

Not to mention the reason why MOM got change "cause survivors had to do nothing but get hit" but noed gets buff exposed on all levels
@Papamodzz If I could give you 1000 likes I would.
I have no issue with what NoEd does, I have always had an issue with how it is activated.
You don't want to get me started on the MoM topic, because that would steer away from the topic at hand. I can tell you though, the outcry was huge in comparison to No Ed threads.
-
@ClogWench said:
People complain about NOED not requiring effort on the killers part to activate but survivors have plenty of perks that give them benefit for no real effort and with no downside.
Which survivor perk requires no effort that compares to NoEd?
I'm talking a perk that activates at endgame, that has as big of an effect as No Ed.
I'm genuinely curious.
-
Survivors have to do all 5 gens to activate No Ed.
Survivors have to cleanse totems in order to counter it.
Survivors get no other benefit from cleansing all totems (aside from BPs), even though it took time away from doing gens/healing others.
What exactly do killers have to do in order to active it? Nothing.
That's the main problem I have with it. Say whatever you want about perks like Adrenaline, but survivors at least HAVE to finish all gens and get to the end in order for the perk to take effect.
So I definitely agree that there needs to be a condition (At the very least) on hooks that needs to take place before it activates.
-
She is OP and we don't need a video to prove it.
However, she takes a lot of skill to learn, but its not fair to say that because she takes skill to learn she is OK when it comes to completely ignoring many mechanics in the game.
-
The fact that they are not even rare add ons is crazy to me.
-
@GrootDude Exactly.
-
People keep saying "Punish the killer and repair all the gens", but what does the person on the hook get out of it? Nothing.
That's why BT has become a necessity.
-
I was thinking about how Corrupt Purge could change, in order to be able to use it throughout the match. One thought I had was for there to be consequences to being in broken status for too long.
My thought was that for every x amount of seconds the survivor remains in broken status, they will experience other "symptoms" such as blindess (blindness status effect), maybe even have their screen become blurry in and out.... bleeding becomes more frequent and therefore more pools of blood on the floor will be seen... (These are just some ideas)... Some that would tie into her lore as well.
I thought about slowing down gens, but maybe that could be tied into more than one sick person working on the same gen. I don't want to "Punish" survivors per say for not cleansing because I do think that not cleansing is risky to an extent, but I also think that there should be a little more pressure for not cleansing... I mean they are literally sick.
What do you guys think?
-
As a Plague main myself... where do you think she needs buffs aside from the obvious (No one is cleansing negating her Corrupt Purge) because aside from that she is fine IMO.
-
Checking that corner cost you the game.
If anything this shows exactly why killers shouldn’t complain about gen times.
-
The lunge is so unpredictable to me, sometimes I’ve seen killers start the hit from around the pallet but it still hits.
I think in some cases latency comes into play, cuz it looks like they hit the pallet and not you, but your hit box is there somehow.
-
Lmao I wish survivors in my matches were holding M1 somewhere on a gen. Half of them are crouched waiting for ruin to get cleansed.
If you’re that bored than as others have said, become the distraction.

To play devil's advocate, that would make the perk more effective against the killers who leave the hook and less effective against the killer who camp and tunnel people off the hook. It wouldn't be the type of thing you would want to encourage.
@Peanits What would you suggest the alternative be then? Because as it is this perk is worthless. Even when you do the most obvious action that would be deemed as "protecting" and block a killer from a survivor being chased it doesn't count. So now you took a hit, you are wounded, killer switched targets and you never got a stack.
-
I don’t tunnel but if I come across them again and they don’t Boop the Snoot, we have a problem...
-
Agreed.
I don’t know who came up with the idea to have protection hits to be what makes it proc but clearly they should have fixed protection hits not registering to begin with.
-
“Running while not being in a chase should never be done”
Umm what. Just like in every horror film, not everyone is so terrified they wouldn’t dare run. This is isn’t just “horror” game but survival too. Meaning you should feel like you have to run, make bold moves if you have to. There is a feeling of adrenaline survivors should have that isn’t found in simply stealthing.
-
The only reason I would oppose the idea is that people would be dropping pallets left and right just to get that extra use out of the perk...thus wasting pallets that they wouldn’t otherwise have used. (By no means am I saying people can’t use pallets, just pointing out there are legit people who drop pallets because they don’t know how to loop).
I think It’s an interesting idea on “exhaustion” and considering some killers have add ons that literally cause you to have exhaustion, and pretty much rendering the perk useless it would be worth at least looking into other ways of managing exhaustion itself.
-
@Brisingr Yeah, that’s why I judge based on the situation. If you’re being chased and you have no idea which gate is going to be open, your best bet is to position yourself in a spot where you can at least see the gate switch lights. Chances are you’ll see a teammate waiting also and if the teammate is good, they will open and come take a hit for you as you approach it, because if you’re wounded chances are you won’t make it even if it was open.
-
Usually if I know the killer is committed to a survivor and especially if I see them wounded I will 99% and wait for a few seconds. Just make sure you remain at the gate and not walk away.
This is very helpful especially since No Ed is more common these days... and if they get hooked it gives you time to look for the totem.
-
@GrootDude @Ember_Hunter There is nothing more sad than a Blendette getting caught in a corner by a Bubba. I’ve unfortunately witnessed it.
-
You keep coming back to the gen?
Well that’s exactly what survivors wanted you to do, because the second time you do, 3 gens will pop somewhere else. ;)
-
No thanks, I'm tired of seeing enough survivors just crouching and doing nothing while the rest of us have to entertain the killer.
