I’m sorry but saying that the “devs encourage this kind of gameplay “ because someone chooses to play with a character with darker skin is the biggest joke I’ve ever heard.
Not every P3 Claudette plays in the way you describe and if they do so what? It’s not game breaking... other characters blend as well it’s not just Claudette.
-
Because the downside of playing solo is you don’t know who you’ll end up with.
Its very frustrating at times but hang in there.
-
Imagine thinking MoM was broken enough that it needed to be brought up again.
I hope the devs learn to not only listen to a handful of people who think a perk is broken only to actually make it useless.
-
Ok
-
I would like to see an incentive for the survivor on the hook who has to stay there for the remainder of the hook phases to give other people a chance.
They gain NOTHING for being hooked AND camped. While everyone else is at least getting objective points.

You're right, OP is definitely talking about that OTHER survivor perk that got nerfed quickly after release. Oh wait...
@ClogWench Actually they aren’t talking about any specific perk.
Ironically you are the one who sounds butthurt over MoM. Not the OP.
-
Need these for Nancy:
-
They are young adults at this point.
-
Some survivors do it because they know the knee jerk reaction they will get out of some killers that fall for this type of distraction.
Its part of the game.... if it wasn’t t bagging or pointing it would be something else to get someone’s attention.
I just think it’s funny cuz sometimes it’s obvious they want to get downed to use their DS or they try to get your attention with the flashlight to get your focus on someone else other than the person who is on last hook.
-
Hi Looping meet Bloodlust.
-
1000th time? Highly Unlikely.

Someone's butthurt about Mettle of Man
@ClogWench I love how you immediately bring up MoM even tho OP never even mentioned it.
If you search the forums it is clear about who is “butthurt”... and who really wanted it nerfed to the ground.
-
Xenomorph as Killer and Ripley as a Survivor and this game becomes my favorite of all time.
-
OMG THE HYPE
-
I think this is the only unhook instance where I wish MoM would earn a protection hit stack. Most killers will down the person going for the save first, to prevent hitting the person you just gave BT to.
Camping isn’t fun for survivors and while I am not saying it shouldn’t be a thing, it really sucks for the person getting camped.
No points, No pip, No Chase points, No fun.
While ALSO giving the others a chance to get points even if they don’t manage to finish gens. That’s why I don’t blame people who suicide on hook.
-
Brand New Part is useful, especially if the gen was at 99% and the killer had PGTW, you can use BNP and counter the regression.
Do I think it’s Ultra Rare worthy tho? Nope.
-
Ahem *insert side-eye Chloe gif*
-
If by “most of the community” you mean a handful of people on these forums then sure.
Why would extending survivor objective be the answer to expanding the length of a match? Killers and survivors basically have to out-pace each other in a match and even then sometimes if the player playing killer plays good, survivors could end up with 1 gen left and the killer still gets a 4K.
You have to take into account all of the “tools” that already slow down gen repair/healing/totems before you can consider adding another objective.

Right, like the asylum exploit that we banned for prior to that. That one only affected survivors. I guess we're not talking about that since it wouldn't paint the picture you're looking to make.
Last time around, nobody was banned for the blades exploit or any of the others. You're really trying to turn an innocent thread into a killer vs. survivor thing.
To get back on topic: If you know of an exploit and you're worried people might abuse it, you're welcome to contact a mod or a CM and report it to us privately. If we don't already know about it, that's the safest way to make sure it gets fixed without everyone taking advantage of it.
You forgot...
*mic drop*

Keys are fine.

I wonder if there any killers that are actually ok with playing against SWF.
Certainly they can’t all be in the forums because I often play with friends and I never see the outcry that is often had in these forums.
In fact some killers welcome the challenge.
-
For me Playing against him I just find him boring.
Deep Wounds is a boring mechanic because it doesn’t really feel “threatening”... it doesn’t have an impact. Just more like a chore and grindy.
I don’t know exactly how they could change him but currently to me he feels like a half baked idea. I don’t buy into his lore either which doesn’t help. His lore to me feels like the kids from I Know What You Did Last Summer, except the kids become the killers and not the supposedly dead person.
-
Healing is useful in some matches, Not healing is useful in some matches.
Also if you’re not good at looping and you know this for a fact, you should heal.
Bottom line is not every match is the same, which is the beauty of having a choice to heal or not to heal.
As a Plague main I see many people saying “don’t cleanse” but sometimes they should have because they could have used those extra seconds had they actually had the extra hit.

It all evens out bud. Good to know you've realized it.
That means less useless threads.
@Condorloco_26 It didn't need to be evened out because those things have nothing to do with the issue the topic is about.
Latency or not, I've had killers hit me while I hear the WHIFF sound from when they supposedly missed, but somehow the hit was still connected. That is an issue because it makes me think that there is an invisible weapon infront of their weapon that I cannot see, and that I have to just work around.

NOED? Just spend ~20 seconds each cleansing totems, there it's gone.
camping while unfun loses games unless paired with ruin.
Bloodlust is too slow to even be a thing against optimal survivors who push out gens, if you need bloodlust you already lost.
Slugging is sadly needed because of DS, also I prefer killers that slug when playing survivor over killers that just immediately hook, more healing points.
Tunneling is countered by BT and DS but yes, possibly killing 1 survivor early is the optimum way of playing a killer.
@AzdrubaelVect Oh look, you listed all the things that I thought were "crutches"?
Hmmm. So the counters suddenly aren't crutches anymore?
Point is. They have nothing/zero to do with what OP is talking about. They are talking about an issue that is evident and visible. Which is why hits still register at such long distance between the survivor and the killer. Yet you are trying to make it about something which is not... which is also what you guys always do.
-
All of which are allowed in the game.
Much like your Noed, Camping, Bloodlust, Slugging, Tunneling... they got your back too.
But let's bring up something that has absolutely 0 to do with the actual topic at hand.
-
I don't think it needs a nerf, especially when survivors farm (A lot without BT) and you know the killer is just gonna leave you on the ground, so your best chances are to find a locker.... "keyword: Find" because you have to be very lucky to be close to one at the time when you need it.

It's a good question. We are currently looking at reorganizing and regrouping some sub-forums together. I am curious to see what you think as well.
How about also consolidating multiple threads of the same topic into one?

If you play well enough you can still usually get at least a safety PIP even if your team is playing awful. That can mean not making a mistake that gets you downed even once sometimes but with most of the killer roster there isn't much room for error either at high ranks. Both roles can feel pretty hopeless at times.
The problem isn't pipping. I could care less about rank.
I was just pointing out that when you play as killer AT THE VERY LEAST, you have yourself to blame for if you make mistakes. With a solo surviving team, you sometimes feel like you are playing a survivor with 1 arm and no legs...
-
They need to keep the extra hit just rework the way it procs.
-
The thing is as killer you have more control over your own actions. As solo survivor you don’t, you rely on others and put your faith in them that they have half a brain to do something.
Which is why I find SWF balanced. Not because of comms but because I trust them to do the right thing when it comes down to it.
-
Let them play only against solo survivors and get a lobby every hour instead of 30 mins.
-
DS is not meant to only be an anti-tunnel perk.
-
If you're chasing a survivor in what you might call a "infinitive loop" , that was your choice no one put a gun to your head forcing you to loop there.
You could have easily broke off the chase, chase someone else.
It's how this works. Sometimes you have to break chase, even when it's not in a strong loop.
-
I think it is fair the way it is, considering at times the killer still gets hit with DS even when you aren't being "tunneled".
You can prevent getting slugged by jumping into a locker. Their options are either waste their time waiting or grab you. They will waste their time slugging too because they have to come back and sometimes by then a teammate has already picked you up... which in essence is another chance, same as if you had D-striked them.

That's not a sacrifice if you know how to not get caught.
Not getting caught requires skill, regardless of whether you can see or not see a killer.
Myers has immunity but Myers also can't expose someone within seconds and also can't crouch or walk at the normal speed he does before hitting T2EW. There are conditions for his immunity.
-
Why would this perk not work?
The WHOLE point of the perk is that you are sacrificing the killer being able to spot you as well.
-
Insta heals are fine IMO. The only thing I would change is that they work on you, and then make an add on if you want to use it on someone else.
It's meant to work as a powerful instrument, anything less than "insta" wouldn't even be Ultra Rare deemable.

This statement is stupid and shows a lack of understanding.
I feel the need to stress out, that I think the statement is stupid and not you as a person.
As long as DBD attracts new players we will see SWF threads pop up.
At rank 20 you almost never encounter SWF groups or they are learning the game alongside you.
As you get better and rank up, you will run into a SWF group eventually and it will hit you like a brick wall. All of a sudden all the mechanics and rules of the game are turned upside down.
Either your team won't react or help you as usual and as a killer suddenly a red rank survivor will loop you the entire game. Because as a new or freshly killer you cannot know how to loop against red ranks and you get angry and frustrated.
On top, perks like Hex: Third Seal and Knockout, what had helped you before to slow down the game and confuse the survivors are turned invalid thanks to voice. Something you never thought of before.
At this point encountering SWFs is feeling like encountering cheaters. Especially when they are using 3th party programs. (I know they are whitelisted)
So naturally they either get turned off by the game and leave, get their frustration out on the forums and eventually have to grind the game until they themselves develop red rank skills.
But the game at red ranks have their own issues.
Gen rush and lack of viable killers.
I can understand that you are sick of seeing SWF post, but try to understand what struggle has motivated a player to post this.
You call my statement stupid and yet you 'explain' everything as if you are speaking for the OP, as if you actually had evidence that they have actually experienced all those things you listed and that they did not just had a bad match in which they probably didn't do well.
I think the only person who doesn't understand is you... the person trying to piggyback off of some non-constructive thread, of a topic that has literally pages of the same "rant" with nothing to back it up.
Not ALL SWF have "inflated egos" or "Ruin the game" for everyone. Everyone knows this.
My point in my previous comment was to make an observation of how many "SWF" posts that are pointless and are basically just someone ranting that can be consolidated.
-
Why was OoO never a problem before Ghostface? Why did Michael Myers/Pig players never complained?
-
Killer: Wraith, Michael, Plague.
Survivors: Meg, Dwight, Claudette, Jeff.
-
I would love more gruesome mori’s and for them to be like more climatic... like hear a survivor being mori’d from the other side of the map as a sign of “you’re next 😈”
Also, why does the Wraith look like he is spanking survivors? 😂
-
The devs seriously need to make a “SWF” Category in the forums OR consolidate all these threads.
The horse is dead, the horse’s carcasse is gone, it’s soul has left and you are now just beating on dead air.
-
Well at least you are complaining about facts.
Just look at the first page alone.

Skirting close to 'killers just think they deserve to 4k' territory there.
@ArecBalrin Some of them actually do.
I can’t count how many times I get “Nice SWF” when the whole everyone was playing solo.

Medieval? Just on chrome dome I get a more Victorian punk vibe. Like something out of the Dishonored games. His design in general is a very modern Gothic style
Yes, but when I think of Ghostface I think of “campy” “Cheap Costume store” bought costume.
I’m a huge fan of the series so I am a bit biased, and why I’m not a huge fan of this particular style.
-
Wish most of his costumes didn’t look so medieval.

How you gona escape with wispers on
@killermain6 Not every killer uses whispers. If they do, then you take a chance but you take a chance anyway by the time the hatch has been closed.
-
The problem I have with people who complain about SWF is that a lot of them think that it is because the team was SWF that they lost. When I’m fact there were other factors mixed in.
-
Sometimes what I do is that if I don’t find hatch right away I hide right at the gate, so when they close the hatch you start opening it right away.
This only works of course if the killer goes to the wrong gate first and the gates aren’t super close.
