There is no escape.
Lore wise they already "resurrect" after the trial.
@Mr_K I am not talking about lore... I'm talking about an equivalent to the Mori mechanic.
There is none.
-
A survivor equivalent to a Mori would be Ressurection....not a slight chance to escaping.
-
@Gibberish Again... Why is the killer doing the picking? I did read your suggestion... but my question is why does the killer get to decide where we go?
Not every single map benefits survivors either, so by having the killer decide where we go makes it unfair.
-
So the killer decides which map we'll go in everytime?
Oh yeah, let's go to Shelter Woods everytime. I don't think so.
Killers can also pick a map offering or are you not taking that into account?

Yes by all means lets strengthen the survivors even more after all the power role right? This game is completely balanced to give all the power to survivors as is, they keep it up there will be nobody wanted to play killer. So tired of the entitled survivors. Killers are supposed to be the power role!!
@kid187em LOL You realize we can already ask ourselves what we are bringing right?
This would just cut to the chase instead of wasting time asking.
Also, for those saying “this would cause lobby dodging...” Nah not really.
I’d rather have someone with 1 perk than someone with 4 meta perks who only went in to BM and be useless.
-
Well the problem is survivors aren’t communicating while in lobby too.
I usually say “I’m bringing BT, Deliverance..”
Or if I have a key... what type it is.
This would solve the issue of not having enough seconds to chat among ourselves about what we are bringing to the match.
-
I think the map doesn’t work because the map isn’t in yet.
They clearly said that only the Dedicated Servers portion of the update is in. The rest will come soon.
-
Here is something I have never understood...
IF “something” (Perk, Add On, Item) is deemed too powerful to the point where it would be borderline OP. Why not adjust it for THAT specific scenario.
So for instance, 32 meters might sound too OP in small maps but what about those big maps where the gens are spread apart?
Why would the game not automatically adjust it for a smaller map vs a big map accordingly?
It’s something I have never understood. Because you can’t pigeonhole ONE scenario where something would become too OP and downgrade it for the rest. I don’t know if that makes sense.

That doesnt matter, they changed pigs dash to not count as basic attack guess thats as powerfull as a one shot. My point is perks should NOT discourage killers for using their power.
So what do you propose they do?
The chainsaw not to one shot while this perk is slotted?
Some things are done for balance reasons. I understand that maybe Pig’s dash should count as a M1, as there is nothing necessarily OP about it... dunno why someone would opt to dash attack over just a M1 hit tho.

Neither does Huntress base hatchet.
Or Pig's Dash Attack which uses her actual weapon.
Oh I never said those two shouldn’t.
But I understand why Billy doesn’t.
-
Because a nurse blink hit does not equal a chainsaw one shot.
-
This add on is not worth being ultra rare at all.
I generally don’t care who the obsession is not whether I become or will become the obsession . This sounds like a brown add on at best.
-
This has got a to be a joke right?

I mean megs skirt is... a skirt lol. A dress that goes from shoulders to legs would be harder.... not impossible, but the cosmetic designers would definitely have to get creative with it. They’ve done a really good job so far though! Maybe we will see more dresses lol.
What I meant is that there are always work arounds.
Rigging a dress in 3D is not as easy especially if there needs to be movement and I can't even imagine what the crouch animation would look like but, like I said, they don't have to make the exact dress.... just a version of it.

True, but Feng’s dress has the frills on it which hides the separation. A dress without frills will be harder to make because the separation would look obvious.
@PrincessPoop Meg’s skirt?
Besides they can always get creative and make it more distressed.
-
He is fine
-
It’s a big issue when you drop a pallet but still get hit through it... like, one of two things should happen... either they hit you or you block the hit with the pallet.
-
I don’t get it...
You want to get better as killer but you are complaining about people using some of the meta perks?
You will keep seeing these perks because Camping and Tunneling are a thing in this game. So I would suggest to start learning how to play around them. Not every match is suppose to be a cakewalk.
-
I mean there is truth in what you’re saying.
Some people (Either side) blame the game for not doing well, but never ask themselves if it was just them doing “bad”.
It’s easy to just say something is broken and put the blame on that... instead of just getting better. Which is why I disagree with many posts of players claiming something is broken.
Also, I like Tofu but I find that saying the game is perfectly balanced is a bit of a stretch. It’s not balanced because it shouldn’t be and it won’t. There are always going to be areas whether small or big that are probably unintentionally more powerful than others.
Which IMO is absolutely fine... not everything needs to be balanced perfectly to have fun.

Let me apply your logic to something else: "omega blink Nurse isn't op because not everyone plays her optimally!"
@yamaoka_rin@Yamaoka Actually that's not true at all.
Even bad omega blink nurses do well. Which just goes to show how OP she actually is.
-
This should be in the bugs section
-
Agreed....
The game has lost some of its horror appeal because they made some maps too bright IMO
-
Oh yeah you forgot Shelter Woods.
-
I definitely agree with the fact that many people automatically assume SWF is OP because of comms. Completely dismissing the skill level of the player, which is more valuable than knowing where you are hiding your hex totem.
I would rather 1000x play with someone Halfway competent and I would gladly sacrifice the comms.
Thing is People who play in survive with friends, are more often than not... doing it because they want to play with their friends and not because they think it’s an advantage... Not every SWF goes into a match as coordinated and Ready to sweat as some may think.
-
*insert Michael Jordan laughing gif*
imagine having PGTW but not using it, but then complain about gen repair times.
-
Interesting ideas here, I’m gonna wait to try them out... but I do have to agree that Babysitter is kind of a meh perk and unbalanced because the person who gets unhooked should also be able to see the killer’s aura.
-
I thought the whole "Remember which pallets have been used" as a counter was total bs.
How am I suppose to know that the Blendette across the map has used half the pallets?
The best I can tell you from how I play is throw the pallet down early. Unfortunately. Hopefully you have enough distance between you and him to move on to a different loop.
-
I don't. I just move on to the next match.
This is a PVP setting, it's expected. It sucks when it happens but can't really complain about something that is a part of the game such as Adrenaline, DS, BL, OoO.
Using those things are not a form of bullying.
-
Ok. Cool story.
4th one I've read today about people trying to be clear about something that everyone already knows.
Let's wait for another 5 posts about the same thing.
-
ok
-
Why all the survivor hate?
Same logic applies.

Mori is another controversial topic entirely.
And I said universally available. And even then what tools are available to particular killers, it’s in now way comparable to the capable speeds survivors can perform their objectives
A mori is still relatively comparable when bringing up toolboxes though, even if by a stretch. They can be slotted in a load out just like toolboxes. You can take someone out of the game faster therefore getting you much closer to your objective which is to kill.
There are also brown add ons which take away an entire exhaustion perk. Granted I realize not every killer has one.
The value you get out of toolboxes can be lost with the right pressure.
-
Child’s Play, hands down.
-
As a Plague main I echo some of the things that have already been said.
With that being said, IF, you are going to cleanse know your location. Cleanse as far from the killer as possible and where gens have already been done... map awareness comes in handy.
Also, don’t be one of those people who cleanse but immediately go to a hook to get sick again, let someone else who is sick unhook. (If possible of course)
Basically be smart about both, because sometimes either can save your game. People who tell you not to cleanse are generally right, but at the same time keep in mind every match calls for something different because not all Plagues are good/bad.
-
even in red ranks you will get these types of players unfortunately.
Solo survivor experience is rough. BT is a must perk for me because of the reasons you’ve listed. I don’t go into a match without it.

That's not really an option. If the EGC does not start, you have as much time as you want. That basically means waiting until the killer gives up, especially in instances where the killer can see both gates from a single point. This is the exact sort of thing the EGC was meant to fix.
If that happens, you, as the survivor:
- Have failed to power the exit gates.
- Have failed to find the hatch first.
- Have failed to open the gates before the collapse ends.
It's meant to be incredibly hard at that point, you already had multiple chances to escape and failed.
when the gates spawn right next to each other. When the hatch spawns RIGHT in front of a gate, I ask myself why even bother at that point?
As a killer I find it a bit silly. So I often let the survivor open the gate because it is beyond unfair at times.
As a survivor I find that no amount of luck is going to give enough time to open one of two gates which are virtually so close to each other.
Dont get me wrong I appreciate the EGC, but this is the piece (gates distance + hatch spawn) I think you guys should revisit.
-
Camping is a legitimate strategy in SOME cases, in some cases it’s not.
-
Lol what, Ormond isn’t even as bad as some of the other maps.
-
Just because it isn't your choice of a perk, doesn't mean it's not a good perk.
I personally don't use it because I would rather play with other perks, but there are legit times I wish I had it because people are too far to heal and I didn't have a medkit with me. \
I would argue that at times healing with self care isn't optimal, but you just gotta be smart about when to/when to not heal.
-
Take away bloodlust while they are at it too.
-
The fact that no one has actually said the exact words that were quoted on the title of this thread, makes me think this is just another bait post.
How about let’s show possible future new players that both of those ‘tools’ are part of the game and that not everyone uses them as a means of trying to be toxic.
-
Lmao I love the outfit change Superman style 😎
-
OMG I CANT
BHVR I LOVE YOUuuuuuUuuUuuuuuu

Insta heals are fine.
They are meant to be a powerful tool for survivor.

The thing is, misjudging the remaining time for an unhook usually happens when solos play together, not so much with SWF. And when I'm too far away from the hook to make the save in time, I'm not wasting any time going there.
Solos don't know that their teammate is running Camaraderie. If they knew, they would go for the save, knowing they will make it with the additional 14 seconds. But since they don't know, they won't go to the hook.
I disagree... it happens with SWF too, many times the unexpected happens and the person who said “I’ll get the unhook” is followed by a “NVM he/she saw me”...
It may not happen often but it does, and definitely too often in Solo lobbies. Fact is there are MANY perks that are like this... situational/maaaaybe useful/etc.
As far as solos not knowing there is an icon indicator that I believe let’s people know when in a certain radius (which IMO could be changed , seeing as this is the first iteration of the perk).
-
Will work for those playing for memes.
-
Many times people have often misjudged how much time they had to unhook.
Either because The only person not on a gen was being chased, or by the time they got close killer was already coming back.
I could see this perk being slightly more useful than kindred...being that even in SWF camping is a thing and those extra seconds could become useful if backup is needed.
-
DCing... I mean whaaaa.
Jk. I usually run Iron Will and then whatever I want. Iron Will will allow you to properly avoid her hitting you during her phase provided you use it well. What also makes the biggest difference with her is your position and the way you move. If you are in an unsafe zone it doesn’t matter what you do, you have no LoS blockers and nothing between you and her. Same as if you keep running and don’t stop in between to throw her off... don’t just stop running in the middle of a dead zone either, but remember she gains speed while in her phase.
-
“Bloodlust is a bandaid mechanic that rarely comes into play”
Cant tell if serious or joking 🙃
The majority of the killers I’ve faced want to ignore breaking pallets because they know they have bloodlust at their disposal. Because they would have otherwise not succeeded in catching me.
Face camping is the modern term for Proxy Camping/Waiting behind a wall camping/Pretending like they are leaving but turn right back around camping. Nobody that uses it today is referring to the old way killers camped.
-
Gens times are fine, you might not be applying the right amount of gen pressure OR your chases are taking way too long.
Gens don’t get done if killer is properly patrolling them.
You talk about the need of a perk to fight something that is obviously an issue for you, well the same could be said about survivor perks. We need a perk just to combat Camping alone, we need a perk just to counter slugging. Doesn’t happen in every match but there are people who need these perks more than others.
That’s why there is a variety of perks because if gens were actually taking as long as everyone wants, you’d have people saying Ruin, Thana, PGTW are useless.
