Yeah, that was one of the biggest red flag's about community awareness I had ever seen them pool. The way Boon Totems were handled seems like another. Im not against the powers of the current Boon Totems. But the fact that you can pick where they are and reignited as many times as you want? That felt like a serious middle finger towards Killer's who had been asking for the same thing for YEARS.

Everything is broken about those boon totems.

    • Killers rely mostly on marks to chase, no mark = no chase. That's exaggerated but it kind of feels like it.
    • Healing at 100% speed ? No need to find anyone to heal you, others can do gens and you heal as fast
    • And 2000m2 area... if you have 3 totems on the maps and let's say with a zone efficiency of 2/3, it would give you half the map covered on most maps...
    • Fact that those perks need totem = All hex perks became tier F perks. They never last more than 1 minute. None of those hex perk have any impact on any trials now.

Combine this with SBMM, OP items, 20 pallets per map + some OP window/pallets combination + fast gens and it's clearly impossible to play. You can only play killer against survivors that can't loop. If they all know how to loop properly (average loopers, not pros), you can't win.

Last update has been the worst in the DbD history i guess and i'm pretty sure the game won't be able to keep enough killers active. Survivors queue times will be huge in a few days.

Also, yesterday i have played survivor in duoQ, we have won every trials (3 or 4 escapes) the whole evening/night during a 3 hours game session... Crazy how easy it became. Killers will rage quit.

  • @Veinslay said:

Basement Bubba is the most kill efficient build you can run right now. Barring that, just play survivor. It's so much more chill and relaxed. You can just mess around the entire game kicking pumpkins and farming protection hits then running to your circle of healing to get back to 100% lickety split. There are like 30 pallets on every map, so it's no big deal.

Yup but continuing to play the game give them visibility and encourage them to bring more crap.

And i honestly don't want to do this they don't deserve to have so many players.

1.9.2 was when i lost all faith in bhvr. Then they double downed when they released old MoM. Then triple downed when they gutted ruin without adjusting tool boxes. They did good with finally balancing DS but that took them 4 years!

    Playing killer is atrocious now.

Playing survivor is still fun (and easy) but i really don't want to play the game, it would encourage them way too much.

  • At that point, i would understand if every killer mains would uninstall the game, clearly.

  • @Beaburd said:

Didn't they cap the DPI on turns in a previous patch to prevent it from being a PC-only abusable mechanic, and re-introduced the 180 degree turns as a new technique called the z-flick?

Or am I just crazy? It's been awhile.

I agree it's frustrating to face though.

Well, they have failed as the exploit is still working.

From what i understood the z-flick is a two flicks in a row during the same rush but it cannot allow you to 180 degrees. you will basically do 2 90 degree flicks around a car for exemple.

I see many high MMR killers doing 180 degree turns in one single flick. Same for Oni.

Fact is Blight is my main killer but still, the only way to counter him is small angles, if you can bypass it using exploits it's then broken...

The game needs more balanced on both sides. Unfair things happens for both sides.

  • Now add hit validation to Victor...

Why can't you do all hit validation fixes at the same time ? Every time we need to wait 1000 days for a simple fix...

hey, It's all good. Just run DS. That, or get to higher ranks. After around copper ranks there are many fewer campers and tunnellers.

also, if you're tunnelled out of the game, just requeue.

    😂

Getting a camper and tunneler in most trials since SBMM release. Was high MMR at release sure 100%. Dunno now but still above average for sure (playing soloQ so hard to stay at the top by myself).

Whatever the MMR, as camping is the only viable way to win a trial, especially in high level, most killers do it.

When i play my high MMR killers, i don't do it and i get reckt many times. Some survivors even thank me for being so fair.

Both as survivor and killer post-MMR I've been rubberbanding between 4k games and 0k games - so technically MMR is 'working' and getting an average of 2k, it's just not all that fun. Several of my killers started at relatively high MMR - high enough that then and now I see consistent speed-hacks et al. - but I'll not blame the hacks for my losses; hackers tend not to be good at the game, so to an unknown degree I will have failed.

I will say a chunk of those 0k games are because I actively refuse to tunnel or camp: the chase and multihook games are more important to me, and I'm a fan of the emblem system. I'm also the loser who'll volunteer to die if someone's being camped, because I know I'm usually the most capable of getting someone taxied out of the gate.

On lower MMR killers I've been keeping them low by getting a Ruthless 1k/2k wherever possible. No need for me to deal with hackers on Myers, y'know?

It doesn't work as most trials should end up with 2K.

Having 50 trials with 4k and 50 trials with 0k is not balanced at all.

I was giving some thought to what do I personally find fair and unfair in dbd when it comes to the chase. I play survivor mostly and occasionally killer ( I can't stand the first person view) so I have a bit of input on both sides.

So let me start by saying that I'm HOPING for a good discussion with good points and no disrespect towards anyone who is more to one side than the other. If you have a counter argument to make then please let's not insult one another there are many other posts on these forums for that.

I know that gens kind of go hand in hand with the chase but just remove gens from the discussion. When it comes to the chase what do you find unfair to the killer? Or survivors?

I'm really interested in knowing how others feel on the topic.

    As a killer :

    • no camping
    • no tunneling
    • preferably everyone P2 before first death

But it's impossible in the current state.

    As a survivor :

    • unique perks
    • unique items

    Would change many things.

  • @Exxodus21 said:

They d/c'd because they were losing and they couldn't handle it. They wouldn't complain about feeling "forced" to stay in a match they were clearly winning. No. It's only when they get downed early, make a mistake, were the first hook, or get caught twice in a row by the killer because they overestimated their own skill.

Nah, sometimes they DC even if the first chase lasted 4 gens and they get tunneled. Without the DC it's a cleat win but they still DC cause they are frustrated.

Camping and tunneling must be fixed. Same for the overall game balance that favors survivors at high level.

Look I don't think anyone wants a free stomp but currently killer is atrocious to play. It's not fun anymore and I used to love to play killer. Now it's gen rushing looping gods every game. Makes no sense. I'm not mad they're good and know how to play. It's just that between the safety on the maps such as pallets and other loops and survivor perks It's hard to even down survivors. Used to you might get one guy who was really good per team. Now everyone I go against knows positioning, how to loop, rushes gens, etc.. The ol drop chase and find another survivor is useless. You chase 1 guy, lose 2 gens, chase another and lose 2 more. Next thing you know it's 1 gen to go and you have 2 hooks. I know I'm not the best killer but I've played a long time and it's ridiculous the state this game is in.

Same experience on my side and on many mainstream streamers from what i have seen the last weeks.

Killers, even some good ones get gen rushed it's insane.

Even survivors that are not that good in chases are still able to gen rush.

On this forum what ppl don't understand is that 80 seconds = 3 gens done. It's pretty much the time needed for the first hook. Then you have the choice :

    • going for a gen, use pop and start a new chase, meanwhile 1 survivor still does a gen and another one goes for the save
    • camping to try to secure the kill or to force 2 survivors to come for the save, then you have free hits and can apply some pressure but the game outcome is anyway settled

That's DbD states at high level of play. The key factor is to spread at the start of the trial. 1 in chase, 3 survivors remaining on a different generator (1 top, 1 middle, 1 bottom of the map).

Just do this and the trial is over for the killer 90% of the time.

Thing is, if you know the killer is the power role in every game... you as a survivor, you can cause the DC by the way you are playing... so even if this is not fair, why wouldn't you be nice?

While knowing the killer can end the match at any moment, you as the survivor still try to make such an event happen. It's interesting.

Killer is not the power role, i also play killer and if you play fair you get destroyed but still i never camp unless at the end of the trial depending of the situation.

  • @NomiNomad said:

There are also a lot of crashes at the moment. Not every single DC is on purpose.

The 'dev bashing' you're referring to is them being held to account, isn't it, rather than those that attack them for having a different idea on balance?

This forum, and in fact any forum for gaming communities, is always filled with people attacking devs in uncouth manners for a difference in opinion on balance. The latter, though...this only really happens to a select few companies and bhvr are really bad at addressing it unlike, say, Blizzard did recently.

Not true. When developers are listening to the community, there are way less bash discussions on the game forum.

    Exemples ? Valorant, Battlefield 4/1/5, Battlefront 2, L4D1/2 etc...

  • @tennmio said:

If 1 person dc's right at the beginning and 2 people brought bloodpointofferings for everyone, maybe consider not tunneling, camping and slugging people. With 0 gens done, ruin up, on a map (midvich) that you decided to go to. With you having good perks and add ons, when those survivors don't even bring 1 meta perk.

For those about to complain: No I don't expect someone to farm, I don't want to farm. BUT one can play differently in a 3 vs 1. Be respectful, don't tunnel/camp. Give survivors at least a chance to get some points. Just behave like a feeling, empathic human being, it's all I ask (if that isn't true for you, just play as if you posessed those qualities, like an actor).

Tbh I wish the devs would punish tunneling and camping in 3 vs 1's when bp offerings were brought. Like there is NO acceptable reason to play that disgustingly selfish if you are already having an advantage.

I agree with you but as you can see in the comments below your post, the vast majority of the community is toxic and selfish. That's how the world is, bringing more and more toxic situations but ppl still continue thinking they have the right as only their own miserable life matters.

That's the main problem in this game and all others, selfishness. "My enjoyment is more important than yours and most of the time my enjoyment only exist because I destroy yours". Imagine how trash their IRL life might be to have such a mindset...

  • @Morgrumir said:

Both sides of mains whine entirely too much, whining period has ruined so many perks and game because of lack of skill on both sides. so people expect the devs to change the game to how they want it to make up for it. basically, learn how to play better or for gods sake uninstall. stop trying to ruin a game that was good before you got here.

There are some facts you can't argue about.

In tournaments the only viable killer is the nurse, every other killers are unable to keep up, at least before some of the last patch buffs. Those are facts.

Streamers have shown how unbalanced is the game when a killer is facing a SWF.

And good survivors matched together will outplay the killer.

And as a old survivor main, the game has never been so easy honestly...

Last year i came back after 1 year out of DbD. I was rank 20. Reached my friends to play in SWF. I have played exclusively in SWF till rank 1. I had escaped all the trials from rand 20 to rank 1. It might be 30 or 40 escapes in a row.

In soloQ the experience is different but i'm rarely the weak link... If i'm not in chase i'm always doing a gen or a save, smartly (gen position for exemple) and in chase, 90% of the time i'm the only one able to hold the killer long enough. But the survivor i'm matched with are often bad... so we all die because of their dumb mistakes.

The new META for survivors is running around injured. That's what the SBMM brought to the game. The soloQers without kindred and without anything to heal themselves. They loose so much time to find someone to be healed etc... it's boring.

This community should start to learn how to play and stop to think they are good players just because they have 4k hours.

Because SoloQ can be a miserable experience and has not been changed or buffed whatsoever since what, Small Game got a proper totem counter??

SWF have basically all the information perks in the game on top of meta perks and SoloQ can't even know what their fellow teammates are doing when one is hooked. That half of Kindred should be base kit by default.

So you have SoloQ who doesn't have fun, Killer who doesn't have fun, and now SWF who is so busted in terms of design and abusing meta perks that it is embarrassing it hasn't been adjusted yet.

Yup, you summarized the state of DbD.

the only thing i complain about when playing survivor is other survivors and their potato-ry

and i routinely get facecamped/tunneled for being a huge cutie and running the killer for 2 minutes with only one pallet

Agree. The huge problem on the survivor side is the broken SBMM. It doesn't work at all as players are never evaluate depending their individual skill level.

1 potato in the team and it's a guaranteed loss.

  • @GannTM said:

Override: Why does everyone that plays one side whine all the time?*

There are some valid points when killers say the game is survivor sided if all 5 players have a good level.

But survivors crying is unjustified, clearly. Some killers are really strong in 1v1 and i think it's a bad design but no matter what, if the survivors sit on gens, they will win.

The killer can be top 0,1%, if after 5 minutes only 1 gen has popped, it means there are useless survivors in the team, that's not normal.

  • @Psycho_ said:

Can we just talk about how cheating in general is soo easy to do and is a constant problem. When someone cant launch the game and play the first match of the day without a script kiddie ruining it.

This isn't just a one off case its a constant problem. Then you get a penalty for being forced to leave.

Just anything to help counter cheating in general. we need some kind of tool to combat this its unfair.

There is clearly something going on in some trials.

Some killers have small speedhack, fast enough to catch you faster but not fast enough to be 100% sure a cheat is used.

And in some trials, gens are done way too fast. Just played as Pinhead, 3 gens left, 1 DCed, 1 was in chase with me, 1 with the box. Only 1 survivor was totally free to do gens and still gens popped in no time. I can't believe it's possible, especially because i had Corrupt intervention at start and that my chain hunt NEVER was activated (=someone constantly went for the box).

Pretty sure a cheater was there, unseen.

Pretty sad to pretend working with and for the community while in the end there is no transparency at all.

Seeing community managers keep smiling on Twitch while every comments are negative is funny though 🤣

  • @Dumpstick said:

If you are actually good at the game you will naturally rise up. Even with potato teammates.

If you are not winning or whatever during your matches consistently due to bad teammates, you are the bad teammate and basically are just hoping to get strong teammates to carry you through the match.

    Wrong.

To rise up you need to have 3 escapes in the trial.

If you have one or two potatoes in every game you play, you will loose 80% of your games, even if you are an awesome player.

Why ? Because DbD is not a game where you can clutch thanks to your skill :

    • you can run with the killer for 7 minutes, if the reste of the team don't do gens then you loose
    • you can do gens, if the rest of the team can't stay in a chase more than 20 seconds, you will loose
    • you can protect your teammates, if they don't do gens, you loose

SBMM system is pretty bad actually, not evaluating your skill level but evaluating how the survivor team, as a whole, performed, the global trial outcome determining the MMR gain/loss.

It's then impossible to win any trial if there is a weak link in the team. It's true at every MMR level as now, in high MMR, there are a ton of really terrible survivors.

BHVR had a perfect emblem system that just needed some tweaks to determine the globale individual performance in a trial. Take the old system, determine a rule with emblems and attribute a MMR win/loss depending of your individual performance.

  • @Xaraleph said:

When MMR was introduced, I wasn't able to play the game. I am now consistently paired with new players. Originally, I thought if I ran the killer, they'd do the gens and we'd all escape.

But I was definitely wrong. It didn't matter how long I ran the killer for, there are soooo many players that refuse to risk anything. Gens included. When I took on more gens for them, they went down quickly (for the most part).

I am not saying they suck. They are new. We all were there at one time. But that one time for me was circa 3 years ago. I don't meet many good players down here in the MMR basement. Those who seem passable don't add (I'm on PS4. So the communication part, I understand).

The way BHVR has coded the SBMM makes it impossible to go out of low and average MMR even if you are a god survivor. The increase of your MMR is relying too much on what your random teammates are doing.

But don't worry, at high MMR, there are also total potatoes that have nothing to do at this level, resulting in terrible trials. Even when the killer is average, you cannot win a single trial as your random teammates are falling in 10 seconds and if you hold the killer for 2 minutes, there is barely one gen popping.

SBMM should evaluate the player performance only, how long did he/she hold the killer, when not in chase, did he/she does point saving or doing gens etc... harder to code but way more accurate.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2579883#Comment_2579883

It worked, I got this message. Thank you. It warms my heart to realize that not all survivor mains wish for my gruesome death!

I'm glad that you are happy that Budhha and I are still playing the game for your enjoyment.

We try our best to lower your queue times but well the SBMM being working as intended, we can't do better :)

  • Fact is, killers facing good survivors will loose.

Soloq survivors will be matched with total potatoes as most of the playerbase is high MMR and there is a soft cap in the SBMM system. Another broken system added to DbD.

When SBMM has been released, the two fist weeks were great, high MMR survivors were matched with other high MMR survivors and trials were of great quality for survivors, really hard and sweat for killers cause of the unbalance...

Now, survivors (the one complaining here) have mostly a terrible experience and feel killers are OP because high MMR survivors are trash thanks to the soft cap and the global SBMM system that can in no way evaluate how good you are as it relies only on team escapes...

The potatoes you are matched with have a huge, really huge impact of the MMR you will get as one survivor dying early = trial lost

But the game is clearly survivor sided if all 4 survivors are good.

So keep in mind that when you feel that you loose many trials as a survivor it's the terrible SBMM's fault. Blame the devs. They have coded it as if a single awesome survivor could outplay the killer for the rest of the team doing nothing. This system can evaluate a SWF level but not a soloQ survivor level.

And yes, they have "worked" on the system for 2 years......

so how is that 99.9% comes off ? if streamer have same skill as pro teams ? then if i stream i must have same skill as pro one ?

maybe your streamer is only at top 95% level but that pro team is top 99.99% ? make sense ?

And still if he is top 5%, no way he does only 3 hooks against a top 0,1% SWF, make sense ? It's like saying, in Valorant, a top 5% team won't be able to win a single round against a top 0.1% team which is totally wrong.

And there is a reason why in comp, the killer is ALWAYS a nurse and that survivors have restrictions.

Dealing with unique perks and unique items is different than dealing with 4 DS, 4 DH, 4 unbreakable, 4 BT and 2 medkits + 2 toolboxes.

"Think twice before writing something"? I don't care if you think what I said is stupid or I'm stupid or whatever, but there is absolutely zero reason to be rude.

In either case, do you not think them being a comp team has anything to do with it? Since Dowsey is not a comp killer, and that comp players on both sides play differently?

Comp teams/killers not typically playing in ranked matches does not invalidate my initial post that a comp team != your average swf.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2581828#Comment_2581828

I don't think we should be balancing around comp teams. Comp play is also really ######### boring. What I want is for solo q to be buffed to the average swf level though, and killers to be buffed accordingly.

I'm not rude. Your only argument is to say that killers don't face comp SWF in the usual matchmaking. Survivors don't face comp killers either there.

In the current state of the game, an average SWF will pretty much win every trials against a great killer (non nurse).

There is no need to balance around soloQ. Go up in MMR and you will be matched with good survivors. Gens will fly. If you end up with a potato, blame the buggy SBMM.

But globally, both of you, i'm wondering what is your level of play as it's pretty obvious for me that good survivors perfectly know that the game is deeply survivor sided...

I was a survivor main for years and i knew it even before playing killer... but yes, all 4 survivors need to have the same level, one weak link and it's over.

Well how many times have you faced a comp team. Also if you want to cherry pick your games like that I had a 4k and 2 gens the other night on trapper and all of those survivors had at least 3k hours and played deacently. I doubt your faceing comp teams. Highly doubt it.

Still an absurd question, without being mean to you...

How many times have you faced a comp killer ?

Ye great, maybe they were all soloQ and i know plenty of 3k hours survivors that are half potatoes... in my friends list.

Dowsey and Truetalent can't get more than 3 hooks against Oracle SWF. If the game was balanced enough, they would get at least 1 kill and like 6 hooks. That's not the case at all.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZiIxJDNnTU

So balanced. Of course, there are not too many pallets, windows and killers are not weak.

All high MMR SWF would destroy you, whatever is your killer level, if you think otherwise you are delusional and you didn't taste high level play (not competitive, just great SWF).

  • @KingFieldShipper said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2581755#Comment_2581755

    Spirit is still S tier.

Also, Oracle is a comp team, and Dowsey is also not a comp killer and the swf you are seeing on a day to day is absolutely not comp swfs.

and do you really think Dowsey/{insert big streamer here} doesn't go against good SWFs on a daily basis when he plays? How many games does Dowsey get 0 kills like that lately? No one is saying swfs offer an advantage solo doesn't have and that facing them aren't challenges, but to use a video of comp team vs a non-comp killer is disingenuous for this argument.

Okay so Dowsey, high skilled killer even though not top of the top competitive but better than 99.9% of the playerbase is not able to get 3 hooks against a comp SWF and it's normal the game is balanced.

I think you should think twice before writing something.

Usual SWF you meet with the matchmaking are not comp level but are the killers you meet comp level ? I don't think so. Your arguments are total non sense.

There is not one single comp killer that is able to win against a comp SWF with restrictions if the killer is not a nurse.

    Untitled Image

Toxicity is due to the unbalanced environment. Killers feel forced to camp and tunnel to win as if they don't, it's a loose 100% of the time.

There are way too many pallets and windows, any competent enough survivor will hold a killer for 90sec, even the best one (if it's not a Nurse or a 9000 DPI Blight).

My experience following these rules is the MMR gives you easier and easier survivors until you finally get a 4k. Next 3 to 5 games are survivors that get gens done in 2 minutes and troll you mercilessly until they are ready to leave. The MMR then feels sorry for you for a while, but once you succeed again it slams you against the wall.

Ye, that's what most of us have constated.

It's either ez 4k or ez 4 escapes. There is almost never balanced games.

In a balanced environment, the vqast majority of trials should end up with 2k, a few times with 1k or 3k and rarely 0k or 4k.

I think that the MMR is tweaked to fake balanced statistics.

  • @Stryker said:

Dear fellow friends, we all know that the game balance is terrible at the moment and that's impossible to win a trial properly without  genrushing and play SWF at high ranks.

But i want to tell you that we are also responsible of this situation 😐️. Indeed, using cheap mechanics as Brand new part/gen tapping/boon totems and SWF just to get our wins (3+ escapes)) or to secure a draw (2 escapes) is a terrible idea as statistics are artificially tweaked to 2k average doing so.

So here is what we HAVE TO do :

    • Start a trial keeping in mind that you cannot always escape agains tkillers at your real MMR level or higher
    • Never genrush nor play SWF
    • Do not use Decisive stryke/Borrowed time/Dead hard.
    • Play fair no matter what and try to get as many saves as possible.
    • If you have the choice between a Save or a gen that has almost been repaired, go for the save without camping and running around the hook.
    • Accept to loose 40%+ of your trials

only killer has to try and suffer right :D

Fact is as they have the power role winning most of the time, especially 3Q and SWF, they will continue to abuse to win even more while killers already can't win at all even with meta perks if they play properly in high MMR.

I see some issues with this post as this is rather survivor opinionated

You want us to accept we cant win and will loose 80% of the time

Not use the perk noed when it can be countered by breaking totems which is easy with a map or counter force

You want us to leave survivors who are closer to death alone so we are farther from our objective at all times

And camping and tunneling is yes bad but gets punished a lot and if the gens have popped the killer doesnt have anywhere else to be but the person hooked

Yes the game should be played as patrolling gens and chasing people but the goal of survivors is to sacrifice survivors by whatever means they decide

The game is bugged but not all killers want to play as you want them too

Playing with camping and tunneling just artificially increase the kill rate. Do you understand the point ?

Do you think the devs will fix anything while all numbers show that the game is balanced ? They will never slow down the game pace or buff killers if the average kill rate is 2.

And why is it 2 atm ?

Cause 80% of the killers are unfair (as survivors of course) and have decided to tunnel and camp to win their trials, even if it's totally not fun and does't involve mind game.

So if every killers continue to play the way they do, DbD state of the game will never change.

  • i got 666 666 bloodpoints.... now my game is cursed

  • image.png

Ok then, if you are not ready to take smart actions to force the devs to improve the current state of the game, stop complaining about it 🙂❤️😘

I appreciate your post, this is what i was waiting for in our community. even though i just started to play as killer, i always agreed that this is the most fair and fun way to play, if we don't mind getting 1 or no kills at all.

On my last match i got only 3 hooks and 1 dc's.

The only thing that quite annoyed me was that the remaining survivors were waiting for me at the gate until the last few seconds.

It was pretty nerve-wracking to waste my time like that. but beside that, the game was okay and pretty good practice.

I hope that survivors will change their playstyle as well.

Yes i guess it's time for the community to protest smartly.

No need to yell at the developers on this forum. I have done it, many players, too many have done it and it has never brought anything.

Tanking their statistics by playing normally without faking losses but without faking wins either OR stopping to play as a killer till they fix it are the best ways to show that the community is cohesive and that we are the one playing the game and, globally, paying their payslips.

Just because someone reaches a point where they start 2k'ing or losing doesn't mean they have high MMR. It's weird that every killer on this forum has high MMR.

Do you have to be a bit sweaty at times? Sure. Do you have to hard camp and tunnel every game to win? Absolutely not. Since the first week of SBMM, the games haven't really been any more difficult than they were in the past for the most part. Gens got a little faster, but I just started running stronger builds to compensate. And I haven't had anything less than a 3k on any killer in over 2 weeks, so either MMR is broken for me, or what I've said is true about people who belong at a higher MMR.

It all depends where your MMR is.

If half your games are against obvious trioQ/SWF full META with items + add-ons well you are at high MMR and it's impossible to win any trial.

But as the number of killers have significantly dropped (queue times longer for survivors), even at high MMR, you will face average survivors now. So i guess your games have been easier the last two weeks.

But when i play as a SWF, i win almost 100% of the trials... with boon totems it became a joke.

none of this is any players fault, only devs can ######### the game up like this and they did

and your conditions might not be fun for everyone, so worthless post really

Well, most killers are bored about the fact that they have to camp, tunnel and use NOED. You are not one of them, fine for you but you clearly represent 1% of the playerbase.

  • @burt0r said:

The biggest problem with the here promoted playstyle is the need to have an incredibly thick skin since survivor will inevitably become arrogant and toxic if they notice the killer being "weak" (intentional or not).

If you play survivor as well, you know that most of them are total potatoes.

I have faced a survivor as a killer, he was arrogant and toxic as ######### but what he doesn't know is that i have been matched with him as a survivor may times before that too and my friend & I are dodging him as he is a total noob preshotting all pallets.

He has no skill at all but the game assists so much survivors with 20 pallets, 3 windows and Meta perks that even full garbage low skill piece of sh*t survivors like him are able to feel pros and become arrogant.

I have seen so many noobie survivors thinking they are awesome players just because they hold a killer for 3 gens using 5 pallets. If there were only 8 pallets on the map, wasting 5 pallets so fast would be detrimental for the rest of the team. Fact is there are 20 pallets and some infinite combinations (pallets + windows).

If we want the game to be balanced with a huge Maps/survivor nerf, we need to loose as we would normally do if we don't tunnel.

  • @ObjectOfTunnels said:

Yeah + if you do this you will get noob enough survivors you will be getting more kills, lol.

Till you reach a MMR where you average 2k playing properly.

But i don't think it's possible as there is only a soft MMR cap.

It means that even if there is no killer anymore at high MMR, high MMR survivors will be matched against middle MMR killers, resulting in 0/1 kill.

If most killers don't sweat and never use camping/tunneling, the kill rate will drastically drop around 30% i guess. Good enough to show that it is unbalanced.

Also, if we begin the process now, as there are high MMR killers, they would loose 90% of their trials for maybe 10, 20 trials in a row. Factor this with all the high MMR killer players and you would get thousands trials with a kill rate around 15%, at high MMR.

    Devs could not ignore that.

  • Basic knowledge when you develop a game is to have standards on every map in order to get them balanced.

    Dbd has maps with :

    • different sizes
    • different layout
    • different line of sight
    • different number of pallets
    • different loops depending the map (safe and unsafe)
    • different windows number
    • some maps with infinite ant others without

It's a mess and then they don't understand why they can't get a proper balance...

So, I just took a look at the official merc store and to my horror there are T Shirts for sale.

Did you know that the energy required to produce just one cotton T Shirt is about 494 kWh!

That's notably more than the average NFT transaction.

There are 32 T shirts for sale... That's 15,808 kWh!

If they sell just 200, and let's be honest they’ve probably sold far more, that would be 98,800 kWh! Comparable to the energy consumption of the average American home for 8 years!

This got me thinking. Considering we're all so concerned. Why don't we actually do something about it? Let's stop wasting precious energy posting about this on the forums, merely feeding into the footprint, and let's instead form a collective to fight back.

We will throw out our PCs, consoles and TVs. Get ridd of our games and phones. Cancel our contracts, our Netflix. But most importantly, we will throw all of our T Shirts in the bin.

If we all do that, we can more than compensate for the footprint BHVR is creating with this NFT nonsense!

Look at how many people are showing concern. Look at all the threads. All it takes is us. Genuinely we can do it. We just have to stand by our principles and give up on some conveniences. Let's go!

Please add yourself to the list below to join the collective!

You can use the ti-shirt for many years.

Kwh used for NFTs is calculated around one transaction which is instant. Add to the servers'cost etc... it's way higher than a shirt that exists physically and will be useful in the everyday life.

While you are at it, compare it to a car or even a truck... So absurd to do this.

I am a little disappointed that Dbd only got a useless charm to celebrate their third legitimate crossover with another game. This time a game adopting their the dbd style rather than dbd adopting theirs.

Then again you gotta ask what on earth Dbd could have taken from For Honor. Definitely no skins/armour, Definitely no killers though I would have loved a warmonger themed killer. Definitely not an event add on but instead a measly charm

Could have bring a map from the For Honor universe... Just a charm, sad.

That's great and all that you follow footsteps. And for those of us that are hearing impaired and can't really hear them ? That relied on scratch marks ? To see where they went ?

Sure. Just let me take 15 seconds to go up and destroy that totem in main building of iron works repeatedly (happened to me last night) 👌 Totally not a broken mechanic/perk in the game

How DbD killer mains try to slow down gens after the mid-chapter release 😂

Im seeing so many killer mains complaining about boons, "boons are too op", "what perks counter boons" , "boons should be nerfed more"....Like everytime survivor mains get perks that benefit us killers always complain? Yal have BBQ, Ruin, Corrupt Internvention ect...NOED....literally way better perks then us survivors. We should be able to escape as well....idc about the hatch/key nerf because i never bring keys anyways, but the amnt of complaints is crazy if you think boons are still too op maybe play something else?

BBQ, Ruin = tier D perk, totally useless, especially if you are playing at high MMR.

Corrupt last 2 minutes only... 1 hook, maybe 2 and it's done.

Noed pop at the end, if you play at high MMR, you will get one kill out of it if you are lucky.

You are a baby cutie survivor 😍

If you disagree, you must be 30 years old or older.

    Just saying...

Funny to see a young, around 20 years old, guy talking about future while you won't get any.

When you will be 35 years old, the western world will be an open-air trash can, you will be unemployed, food will be out of stock, Gaz will be scarce.

And the best you find to do is coming here being glad that NFTs are used for DbD while NFTs will accelerate all what i have said above.

Your generation is a sad one and mine is looking down at yours everyday and we are all having fun cause you don't see it coming, preferring to look dumb shows on the TV and Tiktok everyday without ANY cultural, political and economical knowledges... Well... sad

And i don't say this to be mean, i just give you the global picture of how it is and how your (the young ppl thinking they are better than the older ones) world will be...

    Let's see in some weeks.
