I don't understand all you have to do before is hop in a locker to deny BBQ what's the difference now?
Difference now is that you can continue to heal or to do a gen without loosing time going in a locker.
Also, in the range, nurse's calling = useless.

Developers are forcing more and more, i hope the community won't accept this time. Enough is enough.

Share your ideas.
As DbD has always been a great balanced game i would say :
- Mechanic : gens that are outside of the boon totems range are insta done once a survivor touch them
- Fountain of Youth : inside the boon's range, have a passive healing @ 500% of healing speed
- Man of steel : boon's totem range increased by 200%, add 15 heal states to every survivors in the range
- Sneaky snake : inside the boon totems range, you are totally invisible, gen speed increased by 100%
- Tomb raider : you like old tombs, all hex totems outside of the boon's range are immediately cleansed, dull totems are immediately changed into a boon totem
- Doors maniac : your strong will to open doors grant you the ability to open doors even if no gen has been done
I know it's kind of out of the subject but that would me my personal best boon totems that will surely be released pretty soon :p

The game is globally total garbage. The game design is flawed to a point i don't understand how some features, map, perks are still in the game.
Honestly, at that point, i would really like to discuss with the chief game designer to see how the ######### he/she could have validated so much bullshit into one single game.
- Half the maps are completely survivor sided to a point you can't do anything as a killer when you face a competent team : 0 line of sight, buildings, pallets, windows, objects everywhere
- Some perks are broken and have too much a game changer power : Noed, Devour hope for exemple
- Hex regressing perks are useless and are cleansed in 30 seconds at a fairly good mmr
- Fact that survivors can all equip full meta perks is dumb and unbalance the game even more
- Aim assist on PC that ######### your aim up half the time
- Survivors' items are broken aswell, unbalancing the game from 70/30 to 90/10
Atm i'm learning nurse. I'm terrible with her and so i'm bad everytime in any circumstances but it allows me to clearly constate the game's flaws, especially because i'm so bad that everything is exacerbated. Some feqtures are here for years now, unfixed even though we have asked the devs to fix their damn game.
What i saw is that killer queues are now instant no matter the time you play while as a survivor you have to wait for 10 minutes (EU region). It shows how the killer playerbase is massively quitting.
Also, their 50% kill rate is bullshit. I have a 50% kill rate, i get stomped one trial with 0k to 1k then i stomp the whole team the next one with 3k to 4k. Every trials i play are totally unbalanced and unfun but averaging them makes it look "balanced" on the paper.
With DbD we are far, far, really far from the quality standard fixed by Valorant, Counter Strike, L4D, old Battlefield etc...
Some other players constating exactly the same thing than me about the bs 50% is balanced :
It's obvious that the devs are creating artificial balance to show great numbers on the paper while actually nothing is balanced and they auto-congrate themselves like "the game has never been so balanced, we are an awesome team".
I'm wondering if those guys even read twitter, youtube comments/see youtube contents and read this forum. 80% of the visible community has exactly the same mind about SBMM...

I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to? I have been saying medkits are the strongest things survivors can bring for well over a year. In fact, here's proof:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYwh8YUVlDA
MMR hasn't changed any of that. I don't really know what you're talking about. I've also made videos about map design being a problem, survivor spawns being a problem, DS Unbreakable, like what do you want man. You can't just ignore all of the killer sided stuff I make and then say I'm survivor sided.
SBMM actually extrapolated all the flaws of the game.
Before SBMM, there was one toolbox/medkit, now you get 2 green toolboxes/full addons with 2 yellow medkits/full addons.
Before SBMM you had some funny survivor build, now you get DS, DH, Unbreakable, BT, IW...

I would not compare DbD with symetrical games. Matchmaking and MMR in games like League are easier than for DbD because of the nature of the game. You can just throw in 5 people on either side who are closly even in MMR and expect the match to go a normal way. This is something that can not be done for DbD.
That is way this game is not "garbage". It has issues as any other game. Just that asymetrical games have other issues that symetrical games.
The decline in players you show has multiple reasons. First of all we had an all time high with the release of Nemesis. This killer is a powerhouse of marketing and has no doubt attracted many players to the game. Then the pandemic is coming down thus enabeling more activities over all aside from sitting at home. Also Cenobite was well executed but not that hyped compared to other Killers. He was releases and now we face the usual mid-chapter decay in player numbers.
I would argue that the playerbase is still shrinking because of SBMM. However not as much as the curves suggest. Maybe a re-evaluation would be in due after the release of the mid-chapter patch.
You pointed out some good things however: Hex: Ruin is not a good solution for map size and Killers. The slowdown should be individual per Killer in order to adjust their performance. A Killer like Myers should have other slowdown as a Killer like Nurse.
Also the problem for the Killer side is that you do not have any good slowdown on the base Killers. Hex: Ruin and Pop are the most prominent perks for slowdown. Neither is avaiable for new player thus making the entry barrier higher than it should be.
The map problem is also down to this. A big map should impact both sides the same way: Survivor have longer travle time when going from generator to generator and saving other from the hook. This should in theory impact them just as much as a Killer. A fact is that it does not.
This however comes down to spawn points. Maybe you saw that video of Scott Jund elaboration about spawns? He used Leath Pursuier to show how survivors spawn and how that impacted his match. The conclusion was that a spawn where all survivor start seperated is a problem. The Killer can start one chase but 3 generators or 1 1/2 generator and 2 hexes will pop, leading the Killer to a very bad match. Now if you loose because you made a bad decision this would be fine. But even with a perfect chase the Killer will be in an uphill battle leading to a loss.
Quick messures to fix this?
Well, change spawn points and add a slowdown perk for new players. Lower the entry barrier and make Killer a more satisfying role to play.
I agree with you on many points.
What is sad though is that an asymetrical game like Evolve, which was way more balanced and fair than DbD died because of unbalance... DbD is in a terrible state now, it should have improved throughout the years but it didn't, it just worsens.
I will check the video you are referring to :).

Depends on your mmr. You are only just learning nurse meaning your mmr is low. Survivors are compacted at the low ranks because they have no reason to get better, and surviving is optional for their gameplay since most just want chases and to make saves etc.
Killer will kill survivors by just playing normally. They have no other objectives or reason for playing so are concentrated at higher mmr making q times longer the higher you go.
Fact is i think my MMR with nurse is not low ๐.
I mean, you know they have tweaked SBMM like "if you are a high MMR killer with Blight (for exemple) then your first game as a nurse will be at a MMR of 0.8 x Blight MMR.
So i'm learning nurse against average++ survivors... And that's atrocious as i can't properly learn the TP...
About killer queues, BHVR has said that there were more killers than survivors on High MMR = longer queue for killers. It was like 2 or 3 weeks ago, and yes, as a killer my queue times were around 5 to 10 minutes but now it shifted completely.
-
The peak players number will soon be under 50k. It will happen end of this week or next week.
Last time it has been so low was in early 2020. ๐
We can clearly see the massive decrease after a long constant playerbase, 1 week after the last patch release.

The Kill rate of Killers is 60%-65% in average ranks. I consider myself an average player and I tracked 40+ consecutive games and the kill rate stayed between 60%-65% consistently.
There is definitely camping and tunneling but I would say I see it about 1 out of every 4 games. Average level play is pretty chill. Plus, I'm not seeing meta perks all the time, in fact, I rarely see matches with that many meta perks and hardly ever see BNPs.
Then that's the system ######### me up and considering i should perform good with nurse as i'm pretty good with some other killers. I would agree on simple killer with ez power but matching me with fairly high MMR survivor while i'm a total noob with nurse is a joke...

What is your point exactly? That low mmr survivors are supposedly using meta stuff while a low mmr Nurse is... doing the same?
I don't get it. They have mixed perk builds. The toolboxes are general items, a noob just like a veteran can get them.
My point is that developers say the game is balanced at low to average MMR while it's clearly not the case. I can't believe that gen rush is not a thing at lower mmr as holding M1 and doing skill check is not that hard compared to what a killer has to learn.
And sure i'm a low MMR nurse but i'm a high MMR survivor/Blight/PH/Ceno and demo, i know how the game works, i'm not new at it, explaining the perks i have chosen.
If 4 survivors at low MMR are using meta perks + gen rush items, there is no way that killers get 2k on average without camping and tunneling. The stats given by BHVR are wrong. They should give us the average time when the first kill is done. i'm pretty sure it's under 5 minutes in 80% of the trials, tunneling et...

It's really hard to tell based on this one image if the match was "unfair" and you got gen rushed hard or if you are just a sore loser honestly.
Looking at all the comments and video footage of solo survivors struggling due to imbalanced matchmaking, it's hard to believe that gen rush is so bad at lower ranks. Maybe you just had an unlucky match, or maybe they were smurfs. Sadly those people exist as well.
What mmr do you think you are with other killers? Because the mmr differences of killers aren't big either.
Though I will agree that camping and tunneling are probably two of the reasons why kill rates at lower ranks are pretty high.
That's again, why this game could need some kind of second objective for survivors, or just some actual, serious map rebalancing, so no map is more survivor sided than Coal Tower or Father's Champbell, and then a big nerf to camping and tunneling, and perhaps some solo survivor information buffs.
Read again and come back after you have actually read what i have written.

Everyday DbD is loosing more and more players. Compare each day with the last week and you will see there is a 10% decrease in the number of players.

High MMR is a terrible experience on both sides. It's full of DC, suicides, tunnel and proxy camp.
As a killer, you can't win if you want to play properly without camping and tunneling.
As a survivor, you mostly do gens and that's all.
Killer queues are now instant, survivors queues take way longer.
It shows how terrible the experience is for killers... sad

Ruin should not be a hex totem, just a normal perk, maybe with 150%/175% regression speed but that cannot be cleansed and could not be equipped with corrupt for exemple.

Played the game for 1.5kh and i'm at a point of saturation aswell. BHVR promoting toxicity in what they say or add into the game is one of the reason i will quit pretty soon, as soon as VHS and Evil dead are out.
I don't play killer anymore as at high MMR it's unwinnable properly, you can only win if you don't play (as camping and tunneling is not playing for me, it involves 0 mind game nor skill).

Nope cause as a soloQ, you have pretty much all the informations needed with kindred, perk that no one use cause survivors have it ez.
Killer should have an average kill rate of 50% at high MMR against SWF, with a deviation of 25%.
Then SBMM would have a sense, putting good soloQ survivors together that all have kindred and know how to play against a good killer.
Even though SBMM should be tweaked as taking in account only kills and escape is dumb.

You should all check Otz stream on twitch, he is playing all killers with random perks.

Game state is so great atm, i don't give it 1 month before all high MMR killers are totally gone.
-
What is funny with all this is :
- Devs release a SBMM to make DbD more competitive
- They ignore high SBMM balance and focus on low to average SBMM balance
Competitive system, competitive game is different but balancing on low skill level.
Everything is absurd in BHVR's decisions, as absurd than boon totems.

2 weeks ago on steam we were 75k, Saturday, same time.
So it's negative 15k in 2 weeks only on PC (-20%).
Let's see in two weeks, it will continue to drop, the experience is awful atm.
-
Look, these are the stats for SBMM. Of course, they are not divided by SBMM level.
Still, average is 50%, even though we don't have the deviation, rendering those stats almost useless.
We all know that :
- at under average MMR, game is killer sided
- at above average MMR, the game is survivor sided
We can then easily take the shortcut : most trials at under average SBMM end up with 3 to 4 kills. It means that to get the 50% mark, above average SBMM trials end up with 0 to 1 kill most of the time.
Showing the global stats is BS.
Exemple to show how absurd it is :
Let's define the average salary of someone in a company of 10 workers.
1 earns 1 million $.
9 earn 1000$.
Average salary = 100 900 $
Pretty good company that pay well the employees but nope, 1 has an astonishing pay and all the others are almost homeless.
Let's wait to see if BHVR will release high SBMM stats, that's the only thing that matters and i'm pretty sure we are around 25% for this population.

God why do I still even try ro argue with cry babies that have the mental maturity of a 10 year old?
Also, again, when did I ever say that tunneling needs to be nerfed? Honestly what the hell?
I have played at rank 1 before SBMM was active for quite a while. I don't know my current MMR right now, it's probably not max, but it's surely not all that low either. And I do believe I have gone against pretty efficient teams already. But it's hard to tell how efficient they were, because again, because I don't know my MMR. I do understand that I am not a perfect killer though, and don't immediately blame the game for my losses.
So you are defending the tunneling mechanics ? For you it's fair and healthy for the game ?
Tunneling a survivor at every trial will make all survivors quit at one point. It's pretty boring to play when a survivor is tunneled to death and the others do nothing else but generators.
Survivors that perform greatly = gens are done in 5 minutes.
So, if you use tunneling and proxy camping to get your wins, it means the game is totally unbalanced. And if you don't do it you can't win. Just try it, no camp, no tunneling, do 10 trials and tell us how many you have won.

God you people are so narrow minded if you think everyone who plays killer has to have the same, killer biased opinions.
I am a killer main, and that won't stop. Although I do try to play both sides pretty equally, but I do play killer just a bit more than survivor.
3 other survivors are doing gens at the start of the match, and only if you go for the first survivor you find. Not to mention that survivors don't always have the option to loop where no other survivors is working on a gen, especially if the survivors split up on 3 seperate gens.
And if a survivor is just holding w, the chances are even higher thart you will come along a gen that another survivor is wokring on.
And then, once you hook a survivor, you gain pressure, and if you are able to find a survivor until the other survivor is unhooked, and in many cases healed, only one other survivor is working on gens while you are chasing the third survivor.
Not to mention that killer gameplay isn't find a survivor, chase them, down them, find the next survivor, and repeat the same process. There is more to killer gameplay.
Again, I understand that DBD is still survivor sided at the highest level or play, but I don't think it's that bad anymore. You can definitely do faifrly well with the stronger killers.
Ye okay, then play High MMR and record a win where you didn't tunnel and without the nurse. Enjoy your 5 gens done, doors at 99% in 5 minutes.
I don't know at what MMR you are playing but we clearly don't have the same experience about it. All survivors are bringing an item in most trials, they all have a green medkit, they all spread at start and do 4 different gens.
Even if you are a good killer, at high MMR you face good survivors that know to loop from average to really good level. You will never be able to down them in less than at least 40 seconds with any top A and lower tiers killers. When you will get your first hook, 3 gens will pop, period, it's how DbD is atm.
Time you go for another survivors, at least 2 and sometimes even 3 gens will be around 50%.
Do you think that high MMR survivors go all 3 to the save immediately ? They will optimize the hook time as long as possible, unhooking in the last 10 seconds before P2.
The first hooked survivor will be healed in no time with a medkit full of add-ons and start a gen right away, sometimes the survivor won't even heal...

@ad19970 said:

If survivors suck at looping, you should be able to down survivors very easily, and thus they won't be able to just rush gens for long.
There is a fair amount of killers that can indeed deal with swf survivor teams, even if the chances of winning aren't as high as as the chances of the swf team winning. Unless you are playing on one of the sadly numerous survivor sided maps of course.
And no, it's not enough for them to do 10 gens. If an swf team could actually complete 10 gens agaist a killer, that killer just wasn't good at all.
Ye tell this to Otz, Lilith and other high skilled killers, if they don't proxy camp and tunnel they barely get 6 hooks.
You guys are all completely delusional. The first to come here and cry for tunneling but the one who state everyday that the game is balanced.
Killers are tunneling as they are forced to do it at a fairly high MMR.
And survivors that can't loop can still hold you in chase for 1 min holding W and preshooting some pallets.
A killer hit gives the survivor a boost. If the survivor hold W, the killer needs 20 seconds to catch up. Add 20 seconds to get the first hit, 2 early pallet drops and you are at about 1min10 seconds. The survivor did nothing special and you get only one hook. All 4 survivors doing this = 4 hooks, 5 minutes lost, all gens done.
If y ou think it's wrong, either you don't play killer, either you don't play at high MMR, gens are flying at that level, at a speed never seen before SBMM.
I see you are playing killer, and some of your old thread was about Pinhead being awesome. Let me tell you, mmr up with pinhead and go play some high mmr games. You won't get more than 4 hooks if you play fairly, mark my words.

I saw a lot more negativity for the 5.3.0 PTB. People didn't like pretty much all the significant killer changes, they hate boon totems, and they hate the key/hatch changes.
I don't get why people would want the game to change so much though. If you aren't satisfied with the game as it now, i highly doubt updates will ever be able to change that. At the end of they day it will always be the same game.
Yup. DbD lost 30 to 40% of the playerbase with the SBMM release. Let's enjoy the boon totem release and 2 weeks later it will be another 30 to 40% leaving.

I feel like there are so many more things to be positive about in this game but people seem to enjoy seeing it downfall in any kind of way.
And i just don't understand that because i assume most people play this game to have fun and escape from their lives so why would people make that a source of negativity?
No one want it to die, we all want it to be fun and fair but fact is it is dying because the developers continue to ignore the community and take terrible decisions, for years now.
Last Saturday, at this time of the day, we were 75k playing on steam. Today there are only 55k. Players are getting tired for BHVR's bullshit updates and we are, i guess, at a no turning back point. Players that are pissed are quitting, plain and simple.
Today, i have wanted to play killer but i didn't have the force to launch one game. I'm playing at high MMR and i know it will be a constant sweat fest and that i wouldn't be able to play fairly, in fact i wouldn't be able to play at all; in every trials i would have to camp and tunnel to get some kills (which is not fun for both sides).
Also, i could have played survivor instead, but i don't want as i also play at a high MMR there and i know killers would tunnel the first hooked survivor as if they don't, they barely get 1k.
So i don't play DbD cause it will be a bad and frustrating moment.

1 trial 4k

None of these trials are balanced, and average kill is 2. What are you talking about ?
An average without deviation means nothing.
To go further, yes you get a 50% win rate, yes average kill is 2 but none of these trials are fun, half are too easy, the other half are impossible to win. It's the current state of the game.
A balanced game would be more like :
1 trial 3k - 10 hooks
1 trial 2k - 9 hooks
1 trial 2k - 10 hooks
1 trial 1k - 8 hooks
And this without being forced to tunnel or camp. Average is still 2, deviation is 1. Average hook is 9,25 with a deviation around 1 aswell. Game is balanced, killer actually has time to chase and patrol the map etc...
I have had such a game only once since SBMM release. Got 3K, the last one escaped but i could have accepted only 1k as the trial was really fun to play. Survivors had unusual builds, only one had a meta build, it was a fair and fun SWF. None of them had an item.
Of course i didn't tunneled nor camped once. Every survivors hooked twice before the first kill. They all had 20k+ bloodpoints. It was a great game. Everyone said ggs at the end.
Unfortunately, it almost never happens in this game.

Also I play solo survivor all the time don't tryna point finger at me about SWF I don't do that.
Fact is if the killers are having a bad gaming experience, they will play poorly with cheap mechanics. DbD is in a huge vicious circle since SBMM release.
Survivors are so OP that the killer is forced to tunnel and proxy camp to the point that in every trial, a survivor will die with under 10k points.
If killers play fairly, they do 4 to 6 hooks and all 4 survivors are escaping as the map are too big, there are way too many pallets/windows and the gens are flying way too fast. It implies trash play from killers that implies more gen rush etc...
DbD is ultra toxic now and it will get wort and worst as the developers don't know what they are doing at all. 5 years of continual development and they still don't know what is healthy for their game, what are the victory condition and they released a SBMM relying only on kills/escapes.
But it has been like this forever on DbD :
- dedicated server released with 30 tickrates, hitboxes were total garbage -> "we have the best servers of the gaming industry"
- balance has been off for 5 years -> "we did a pretty good job so far"
- SBMM is trash, clunky and not about skill -> "it works perfectly, we are the best"
- changing game engine, horrible performances -> "it's to improve the users experience"
- best killer mains can't win properly a game -> "we are om point balance wise, it's perfect"
...

Hereโs the thing, if they gave a perk that was strong with the 4v1, it would be to the detriment of soloQ which is why I canโt see them doing.
I think the 4v1 with swf on comms can easily break the game(not all swf, I know you were already typing) but theyโve shown no desire to balance toward high mmr and squads instead balancing around casual.
Fact is you can't properly balance a game around average skill players, it will never work.
Because a bad player will still be a bad player, no matter the tweaks you bring on the table.
That's why you must balance the game towards high skilled players cause they optimize the gameplay, they know how to play.
If they really want to balance it for casual, they have to do two or even 3 groups where the balance is different. Higher you climb, less pallets/windows/items + some perks restrictions you have.

while some fluctuation after a new chapters hype is common, there has been a drop to 15k players (on steam) at points. even at peak times Qs are a mess now...
Yes but it has been a long, long time that the peak players number hasn't be so small.

Hex is useless to the squad and Pop is counted by Prove Thyself. What else should I use?
Use the perk : "do not play killer"
You cannot counter a SWF, no matter how good you play and no matter the perks you use. They will outplay you 90% of the time. And for this they don't even need to be good in chases.
That's what is funny in DbD today. You just need communication and to do gens solo to get the 3 escapes.
Looping ? 90% of the survivors are trash at it, they just hold W and pre-drop pallets and as there are 15 pallets + 3 windows + 1 semi-infinite + the shack + boost perk + boost after the first hit + fast medkit healing, it's enough for the team to be able to do 10 generators.

Before, I would find a match after 1-2 mins, even with MMR. I just woke up today and have 20min queues just to get into a game.
The game is dying pretty quickly the last weeks, thanks to the SBMM coupled with the total unbalance of the game.
We went from 85k players to 50k in 2 weeks. Many killers have stopped to play as my queue times have increased a lot when i play survivor in soloQ.

So as confirmed, DC's were excluded to calculate the average killrate. We all know that a survivor DC'ing is very common, but lets be generous and lets say only 1 survivor in 10 games will DC. This can mean 2 things depending on how bhvr excludes DC's from the data.
A) What if bhvr exluded only the survivor that DC's from the data? games where a survivor DC's almost always ends up in the other 3 survivors dead --> thats 3 free kills, which makes the released data alot higher than in reality (considering 1 DC each 10 games with 3 other survivors dying or giving up would give us around a 10% higher killrate). This would mean that the cenobite killrate is not 60% but in reality it is close to 55%, same for nurse this would mean her killrate is not 43 but 38%.
BUT
B) what if bhvr excluded the whole round from the data when a survivor DC's? as these games end mostly in 3-4k, thats alot of kills that are not added to the data. considering 1DC each 10 games this would make that the cenobite killrate not 60% but in reality it is 70%, nurse killrate not 43% but 53%.
If they used this method (which is probably the case) the data that is shown to us gives a good indication of the game balance, however all these survivors not added to the data have experienced a dead in the game and are thrown away like they didnt even happen. (this would mean that the current data shown to us gives more info about game balance instead of the actual kill rates)
Now what if we are less generous and more realistic where 1/5 games have a person DC? this means the data shown to us is !!20%!! skewed to a side (depending on if bhvr used methode A or B)
How are we supposed to read the data if we dont know how the DC's are excluded???
I think this data shows us the biggest problem of dbd in its current state. The actual balance of the game seems to be getting close to the 50% all across the board (+rep for that bhvr), however, the experienced number of deads that survivors have is ALOT higher than 50%.
The balance has gotten alot better to a point that DC'ing has become the main issue in how the game balance is experienced/perceived ... DC games are too common. In the current state of the game the influence of DC's seems to be getting underestimated by alot.
It's logic to use complete trials to judge the balance of a game. Stastistics taking in account the trials where a survivor DC would have a bias.
So when you do stats, you exclude everything that is not how it should be and that's a good thing.
And 50% kill rates mean nothing about balance as a 50% kill rate with a deviation of 50 would be totally unbalanced. The deviation is important

SBMM is so good that at high MMR i need 5 minutes to find a game as a survivor in soloQ.
As a killer, i need 5 minutes aswell.
As a reminder, 3 weeks ago queues were instant on both sides.
On Friday Evening... wow

So many people are saying the system is good, you might be in the minority on this issue.
You are just a few liking it and spamming the forum to make it look good but it's terrible. The game was quite fun and became a try hard platform when there is no fun. Gen rushing on one side, tunneling on the other. It's terrible, there is no gameplay in fact. One survivor get chased the whole trial while 3 others are doing gens and only doing gens.

On average games are 2k which seems like good balance
Average means nothing without median and standard deviation, just saying...
If the average kill is 2 with a deviation of 2, it's totally unbalanced as it means that many many games end up with 4k and as many with 0k.
A balanced game would be 2k with a deviation of 0,1 or something small like this or at least 1 and that would mean that the big majority of trials end up with 1 to 3k with a division as the gaussian function.
Also, average hooks gained with the deviation would be a good stat to get, and it should be around 8 average with a deviation of 2 to get a perfectly balanced game.

Yes, that would be true. Top killers won't be able to compete against top survivors, SWFs. Everyone knows that. The developers said this wouldn't be balanced at the highest level of play. This was made for the other 95% of players that play this game.
Well i think your 95% is optimistic.
Above average killer vs above average survivors is already a terrible experience for killers. The balance is shifting towards survivor once you have an average/average+ level.
the today players peak is at 50k. 3 months ago it was 85k. 1 week ago it was 65k. Don't you see that half the playerbase is leaving ?
I think it suits 50% of the playerbase. And i'm pretty sure that at a low MMR, survivors get reckt most of the times.

Are you seriously basing your opinion on how well a Streamer and his minions are rating MMR. You do know that Streamers make a living off of not having MMR.
You are basically going to a Rush Limbaugh meeting and asking everyone there if they hate Nancy Pelosi.
I see top killer mains loosing most of their trials even though they outplay us all as killers. You can check Lilith which is one of the best Blight around, S tier killer, and he is loosing.

#1. you cant go off of streamers opinion, especially if they deranked on purpose to get easier matches.
#2. if your constantly tunneling thats the exact reason why your getting genrushed in the first place.
- They don't have easier match lol, they are loosing all their trials as killers if they don't tunnel.
- You have never played killer right ?
First chase is usually 60 seconds. 60 seconds with toolboxes = 3 gens done.
So you have one hook, 3 gens done, what do you do ? Ye you loose no matter what.

Actually, the majority of the community agrees the SBMM is better than the old system. And you have to remember, this forums is highly Killer sided with lots of play hours and this community as a whole still likes SBMM better than the old emblem system.
Well then you should change the way you evaluate how glad the community is.
Every streamers don't like the SBMM, survivor and killer mains. Everytime a streamer has created a poll to know his/her viewers point of view, 80% don't like the SBMM.
I'm a 50/50 player, as a survivor, it changed nothing, i still get the potatoes. The first week it was great, now it's back to normal, usual boosted playing high MMR.
And as a killer, almost the totality of the trials are unwinnable if you want to play normally : chase, down, hook, go for another survivor. Gens are flying as never before, every survivors are using toolboxes with charges add-ons. In 1 minute, the 3 first gen are popping, you end up the 1st chase, the 4th gen pop or is almost done. It's unplayable.
Go check the best streamers that play killers and check how fast the gen are going. Most of their trial ends up with all gens done + doors at 99% and they have between 4 and 6 hooks. SO GOOD.
All high MMR killers are forced to tunnel or else it's a loss, PERIOD. If you want 100% of your trial with the first survivor tunneled, glad for you, that's unhealthy and the desertion of the game is a great exemple of how fun DbD is atm.
-
SBMM is garbage, the majority of the community agrees on it.
SoloQ high MMR survivors already have it ez, now SWF are bringing OP items and full meta perks + communication. And BHVR does nothing, sleeping on their way too generous playerbase that buy way too many cosmetics

Your approval/belief isn't a required part of another's experience, kiddo. Go watch the Q&A. Go read Peanit's recent replies describing killer MMR. Do some legwork for yourself rather than pretending your opinion matters.
Fair when the killers are forced to play unfairly to get a win (camp and tunnel) ? Fair when gens are flying in less than 5 minutes at high MMR ?
Well i don't think it's fair.
When during the 1st chase (If all 4 survivors are good), you loose 3 gens and during the 2nd chase you loose another gen + the last gen is at 50%, it's not fair. Getting 6 hooks while all gens are done and both doors at 99% it's not fair.
