@JoannaVO the sadness that now lives inside of me. We could of been great together on swf with our combined ninja skills 😭
Too bad I'm usually a super loud survivor and my ninja skills are nowhere to be found :'(

@JoannaVO thank you, much appreciated. Yo do you play on ps4?
Always been and will be a PC gamer :D

I think people start showing their feedback and wishes in a negative way because developers keep on ignoring bugs that affect the gameplay meanwhile developers keep on adding cosmetics to the store. So in the perspective of some it seems that developers seem to care more about money earning with cosmetics, than having their player base play the game with as less bugs as possible. That can make you frustrated. Especially if you come across a bug very frequently in a trial. I agree that people are salty and hateful for no specific reason towards each other, but some isn't as negative as it seems to be.
-
Buffing this perk will only cause more annoying teammates that farm you off like crazy.

@TMCtildo is puppers , angry pug? Ppl keep saying puppers and I’m not sure if it’s the same person or two different people.
Puppers and AngryPug are two different people who do know each other.

I think if there's any chapter that's good, then it's this one. Even with it's flaw. Ranking system does need a fix, yeah.

Edit: Sorry, thought you meant the patch that got released yesterday. Update from today was just a fix for achievement progress.
-
It would be a miracle to go to the forum one day and not see people complaining about recently released features.

Okay, and if i have three people D/C on me when i used an ebony mori, or iridescent add ons? You only get 600 some odd points for a survivor d/cing. You get MORE points in one chase with a single survivor than you get for that survivor disconnecting.
What if a survivor uses a escape cake and a decent item but people disconnect and the killer still has no mercy? Issue occurs to both sides. Just move onto the next match.

I agree, but let’s not forget that it also heavily depends on the killer. If he doesn’t get any hooks or chases, both sides get punished.
Correct. But killers get punished for having short games too, so I hope tunneling and camping will tremendously decrease now and the usage of perks like Make Your Choice will increase so that both survivors have a chance and a fun game and the killer actually gets rewarded for extending the game as long as possible without losing pressure and making sure that survivors get hooked atleast 2 times.
-
Your reward is a game where you automatically have more map pressure because a survivor disconnected and it becomes harder for other survivors. If played right, easy 3k.
-
Hillbilly OP? Just no.
-
Clown and hillbilly.
-
Hell no, you ain't playing her right.
-
Good thing is much less lobby dodging.
Too bad finding games as survivor takes quite a bit too, but usually when new patches come out the lobby times are a bit messed up. They take way longer than they should.
-
Can you explain how the game is corrupting? Or are you just giving false statements because they now force you to work for pips and the free escape grasp is gone? (DS is still powerful in my opinion but yeah)
-
They went a step into the right direction but shouldn't have made it so hard to gain a pip or safe pip. Your rank now really depends on how your other teammates will do and if they, and you, can make the game last long enough.
-
The survivor perks they come with these last few chapters... They are so good. Who cares about DS when this is upcoming
-
The problem is that balancing the game around solo survivors will make SWF very strong, close to unbeatable. Then taking away the option to play together will most likely cause negative review bombs and people quitting.
-
Someone who knows huntress can definetly apply map pressure very easily, not even talking about add-ons for hatchet (exhaustion, insta down, etc.). Plague is not as hard to escape from, but then, it's a new released killer so people still need to put time in her. I rather go against Plague than huntress. Hit boxes also make more sense on Plague.
-
I would actually recommend prestiging Myers, since clown has many cosmetics but Myers has nothing else but his prestige or default outfit.
-
Maple syrup on corn dogs? Sounds like pickles with mayonaise.
-
Lol no. 4 perk slots is more than enough to make a strong build. Just play multiple trials if you want to play around with all perks.
-
Did you disconnect from any match before? If multiple disconnects happen it sometimes lets you lose a pip when a killer disconnects.

NOED is worthless unless you're pressuring survivors meaning that NOED only pops against very bad survivors or survivors who need to genrush because you have really high pressure.
It's just like camping. If you play right in the situation, you won't get caught by it. It's true though that some killers are in ranks they dont belong just because of the perk, but I just always hope that they eventually learn tactics that require skill and rewards them more to stay away from perks like this. I don't necessarily think killers just complain about how OP survivors are because of this, but more because of very strong perks that could potentially turn the game around like Decisive Strike. I'm sure once the new chapter comes out, people would atleast say it less often.
-
NOED is nothing. It's not as if it's that hard to find a totem. It's only annoying when someone has NOED when you see they don't need it with their amount of knowledge/skill.
-
Ingame report system shows that working with the killer is considered as griefing and thus reportable if shown the right evidence. Same goes for bodyblocking.
Clearly the game is not meant to be played completely selfish as you are required to be altruistic if you want to pip, plus if that would really be the case then (certain) survivor perks should receive a buff.
-
Working with the killer is something you can report for, it has the option ingame if I'm not wrong. I can't understand why you'd take a game to such level where you would make it unfun for your teammates just for the 5,000 escape bloodpoints. I'm quite sure that working with your teammates optimally grants much more bloodpoints and is more ideal. But people can do whatever they want, as long as I dont have to play with teammates like this.
It's not just the type of teammates I don't want, but that practically nobody wants which makes it a relevant issue.
-
Even if the killer isn't on the skill level of the survivor... I don't understand why it's so necessary/fun to spread hate and toxicity around in a game that you should just enjoy.
-
Camping/tunneling completely depends on the situation the killer is in... If generators go by really fast then I can't blame a killer for camping me despite disliking it, I do understand they want to secure their kill.

@fluffybunny thanks for the response. I understand your sentiment, but some of your concerns are misplaced. As I said, I am not condoning the types of griefing you describe, but I am simply pointing out that sandbagging and survivor-on-survivor malice is not griefing, it's canon and suitable to the game's atmosphere, mechanics, and balance. Targeting people is not good. But that is called "Metagaming" and is a different subject. Metagaming is not okay at all. But actively using something like "Sole Survivor/ Object of Obsession / Diversion" to make sure you are the last one alive is not that. It's a valid strategy arising from a valid selection of perks. Regardless of who is responsible, survivor or killer, the fact is that the game consists of suitability functions, and the players are allowed to make optimal selections. Killers are "Ruining a player's game" when they facecamp. There was a big civil war over whether this should be bannable and it was found that it was not. Sandbagging is exactly as reprehensible as face camping, as I will point out again, your score is independent of all other survivors, you are not on a team. So yes, altruism is encouraged, but is explicitly and intentionally made optional. EXCEPT for some small scenarios, where the killer and survivor could be sorta made to look like they were teaming up (something impossible to prove beyond a reasonable doubt). This is a nonsense report category, as it is currently worded, in DbD. You could maybe argue that working with a survivor is griefing. Sandbagging alone is not griefing.
@JoannaVO As I said, not everyone likes everything in the game. Face camping, tunnelling, and occasional survivor selfishness are all acceptable play. These can "ruin someone's game" but they are not bannable. They are viable strategies. If you feel this way about sandbagging, why not about face camping? It's a sad day for the ones who invented the game if this is how their vision is going to be treated in 2019. Like a "Han shot first" type of dilemma, the original script was changed by people who were well-meaning but did not understand how they were damaging the original vision. I would like to think that the game is still horror survival, counter to popular opinion.
Facecamping and sandbagging are different. Facecamping has proven itself to be useful in certain situations while sandbagging not only screws your teammates over, but also yourself. It's not like I don't respect the opinion given above, I just rather not have teammates like that as I'd rather be a good teammate who has tried helping wherever possible than escape. And if people would all work together as a team, then a amount of people might also stop desperately looking for a SWF team they can join. The game was made for a 4v1 situation, not for a situation where a survivor sandbags you and gives away positions.

@JoannaVO were you in public as well?
Yeah was in the livingroom with 5 people around me. Nobody really cared except my dog who somewhat got scared.

''Chernobyl'' - Automatically queues you in a lobby with P3 Claudettes, DS and flaslights.
-
I should stop clicking random YouTube links when my volume is 100% and I have no headset plugged in :| Nice.
-
After the event during Halloween I now definetly agree with a second objective. Made the game more fun for killer (and requires ruin much less) and for survivor it's nice too, some variation.
-
I would recommend watching Monto on YouTube for some (funny) build ideas.
-
For Jane I'll definetly get all the outfits as I'll probably main her. For the Plague? No clue, I find everything pretty nice on her.
-
Yes. Lunge and hitboxes are great in this game sometimes.
Could also be a high ping though.
-
Nope

Legion Main? Seems so. Just get lost.
Ha! Couldn't smell the sarcasm?
-
I know you want your emblem points, but you gotta stop interrupting me where I'm going when the killer could be close!
I would recommend getting healed by a person if they have We'll Make It, to be honest. Heal goes by fast and could potentially make your chase last twice as long, if played correctly. Unless you're playing against a Legion, then it's quite useless.
-
What is this topic turning into? People not being able to deal with the fact that someone who owns a succesful YouTube channel made a video of him playing with his feet...?
When you thought discussions couldn't drop even lower...

Where the hell do you guys find these Survivors? I’ve been playing at R1 Killer and Survivor for a while and basically everyone’s chill.
Am I playing a different game?
What region are you playing in?

That’s okay, we might get to red ranks slower Bc we aren’t boosted apes, but when we get there we most definetly see them all snowballing each other to death. Maybe that’s fun for them?
These are also the same people that hate bbq but refuse to get into a locker so they can make a safe unhook, or continue to work on their gen.
on the Bible about two days ago I had to stealth around doing enough gens to get hatch Bc these guys managed to snowball each other in a very fast pace to death. I finished a ruin gen and a half before they all got each other killed. That’s how long it took three different times.
I just really hope the new emblem system is going to help me to not get in lobbies with these kind of survivors. I rather play in the purple ranks where it's not all about altruism, than in the red ranks where I'm nothing more than a gen jockey because nobody else bothers with (ruin) generators.
-
Whether he takes the good matches out or not, it was still quite amusing as it's not something ordinary.
-
Exactly this. The worst thing is that it's this time of the month again where people turn into over-altruistic monkeys to get to a rank where they don't belong. In almost every game I've been unhooked before the killer could even turn around ... :')
-
You just sound like one of those people who takes a game way too serious and makes it unfun for other people that way. If we'd all look at how illogical certain things are in this game then I'm quite sure it's not even an actual horror survival game anymore.
This is not real life, it's a game. If you die you just go to the campfire, so helping out other teammates won't harm you in any way.
-
Let's not forget that Adrenaline can be so good when a killer is close to the hook, as it gives you a chance of escaping. Unlike NOED where you don't play efficiently and don't apply enough map pressure but still get the instadown effect with an additional haste effect.
